I've never been super tech savvy or knowledgeable about computers, so for a few months now I've done tons of research trying to figure out what to buy and I'm just overwhelmed at this point. Back in 2018, when I was still developing quite a bit, I was 15, new to the dating scene, and not taking much seriously, I just kinda wanted to have an attractive girlfriend, something I’d learned from watching too many shows and crap. It was about October, I’d just stepped out of a toxic relationship, it lasted about 5 months and I was just trying to recuperate, to breathe for a bit.
During the few months during my relationship, I knew two girls (from June 2018 onward) both were 15, same age as me. We’ll call them C and M.
C was from my state, just not the same town, she was about an hour and a half out.
M, I met online, she was from Brazil (I’m from the US, so that’s quite far.)
I spoke to both as friends, M I got to speak to more because she wasn’t as busy, not at the time at least. And C, she would be busy often, she was hard focused on school.
I had a feeling M liked me, and I did like her too, I just didn’t know if I could commit to a long distance relationship. I knew C liked me, since she was always so shy whenever we talked, even over text you’d know it, I absolutely adored this girl, she was everything to me… but we didn’t talk much on account of her being busy.
Now in my TINY brain, I thought attention was more important than anything in a relationship, so I decided I’d ask M out in December of 2018, since C was absent at the time. After this, I spent 3 almost 4 years with M, with the last year being me just trying to keep what we had alive, just by a thread, I felt unwanted, unappreciated and downright sad with my choice from years ago.
During those years, I’d talk to C, whenever she’d come back, she always begged me to leave M for her, she told me that she needed me, that her and I belonged to each other. Now, I strictly believe in one person, not two, and I loved C, but I felt too guilty to leave M, I felt like I’d be making her life a mess and just couldn’t do something for myself for once.
In about 2020, early on C went and moved to Sweden with her family, so I imagined we’d get to talk less, and while it wasn’t true, we still talked the same amount, which was little to start with. I started realizing more and more that C was right, I need her, I belonged to her, I should’ve waited for her, I should’ve been with her.
During the summer of 2021, I was trying to get in contact with C, she wasn’t around for about a week at that point. I tried to get into contact just so I could ask her if she still loves me, if she would’ve said yes, I was ready to leave M and be with her.
That week of absence became a month, and that month a year. In august of 2022 M and I broke it off, and C was still not back, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to see or speak to her again, that thought made me sad, it still does, but yeah, a month later, I meet another girl, just a few months older than me, we’ll call her L, L and I were just talking for months, friendly and all. After talking for three months, I decided I’d give it a shot, so I told her that I liked her, wanted to get to know her better and she said the same.
Fast forward to january, we have our first date, pretty simple, we see a movie, go on a short walk and sit at a bench, watching the sun set, I got my first kiss there and things started to look up.
It’s now June 2023, we’re 4 months in and as of recently I’ve been depressed thinking about C, I’ve just been wishing she’d finally come back, wishing I had more contact methods for her, but I feel stuck, I feel like i’m being punished for being stupid before. God, I’ve never missed someone like I have with her, I miss her so much.

I've never really talked about this with anyone because I've been known to be kind of a venty person. If I'm having a bad day chances are someones going to know about it. And I know its okay to vent about things if I need to but when it comes to things like this it just feels so gross to put on other people and I wouldn't even know how to begin if this was a real life conversation.
So last year, I (20F) met a guy (26M) and we really hit it off with each other. There was a reasonable age gap that I did take into consideration but up until the last year I knew him he had never tried to pressure me into anything so I felt safe with him. When I turned 21 he became my primary drinking buddy and we pretty much went out maybe every other weekend, usually it would end with me staying over at his apartment out of convenience. I can't emphasize enough how much trust I put into him for my safety and wellbeing, he really was my closest and most reliable friend. We talked about everything and included each other in most social events.
To get to the real shit I guess, one night he and some of his friends were drinking at his apartment and I chose to smoke weed instead because I don't usually drink in large group settings. At the end of the night he was practically blacking out and I was extremely high myself and we ended up going to sleep in his room. That wasn't uncommon, he'd typically sleep on the floor and give me his bed. But that night I guess he assumed I was asleep and climbed into the bed with me. He started rubbing his thing up against me and begging me to touch him. He had never done anything sexual like that to me until this point. At some point he grabbed my hand and forced me to touch him which I immediantly pulled away from. He's very tall and muscular compared to me so it was physically difficult to pull my hand away from him, let alone the rest of my body. This went on for most of the night and in the morning he made the excuse that he was just really drunk and didn't know what he was doing. He seemed to feel bad about it so I (stupidly) let him get away with it. He also played the "you were really high too" card even though smoking weed has never clouded my sense of reality.
For the next couple weeks afterward he was overly touchy with me in a way I made it very clear I didn't want. He tried to kiss me, put his hand on my thigh, pet my hair, etc. He was important to me so in the moment I guess I just let it happen, it wasn't enough to lose him. I also do think that he was manipulative about it at times and made it seem like it wasn't as weird as I thought so I believed I was being dramatic.
One night we went out to a bar just like we usually did. I had two drinks along with finishing off his two that he didn't like the taste of. I want to say now that I have always been able to hold a drink, on a typical night I can have 6-7 drinks before I need to slow down so there was no reason that I got as intoxicated as I did after 2-3 drinks. About an hour into being there, which would usually be a warm up drinking time for us, he had the idea to go walk down to the nearby gas station and get a pack of cigarettes. He asked me to come with him and after a drink I liked to walk around so I went. I made it to the gas station perfectly fine, could walk straight, kept a conversation, no problem. A couple short minutes after leaving I was practically blacked out. I couldn't walk at all, I couldn't even hold onto him as he carried me. I remember falling off of him at one point and onto my back because I had lost consciousness. It hit me like a truck out of no where. I had never felt this drunk before in my life and I could not figure out why if I'd had so little to drink. The last thing I remember is throwing up in his car and waking up in his clothes on his bed. I felt awful everywhere, all over my body, my head, everything hurt. I hadn't processed what had happened until a couple days later. By then I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything.
A couple weeks went by and I wouldn't see him, I didn't feel safe with him anymore. I eventually talked to one of his ex friends and apparently he had drugged people before me as well. I blocked him on everything without discussion and haven't talked to anyone that knows him either. I occasionally get flashbacks of moments with him and they make me terrified and sick to my stomach. I haven't been able to even think about alcohol since either. Its just all incredibly fucked up.

so i’ve (21) had my friend group a little over 6 years now, some of them i’ve know for 8-15 years. We used to all be really close but, i’d say for the past year, i can feel them drifting apart from me.
I don’t get invited to things as often or i’m forgotten, i get ignored in group settings and i see them texting back and forth with each other but i hardly get a text from any of them. it’s never actively excluding me but it’s also not actively inviting me.
Even my closest friend whom i’ve known since i was 6 years old, found some new friends and it feels like she has forgotten about me.
I tried talking to them about it very gently but nothing came out of it. there are some people i see regularly and who still invite me to things and stuff but going from a big friend group to 2-3 solo close friends hit me hard.
I tried to incorporate myself multiple times so i’d be “remembered” the next time and although it was always fun, it still felt like i was somehow the “guest” instead of part of the main group.
Maybe it’s important to note that 5 of my friends moved in together ( 3 in one home and the other two in another).
I get that everyone goes on a different path and life changes a lot after school but i’m sick of feeling like the outcast in a group that was once so insanely close, and seems to still be but just without me. It makes me sad and honestly a bit angry.
I don’t know i guess i’m just venting at this point but I would love to hear some stories about people who went through a similar thing and got out of this situation and maybe some advice in general. <3
