We’ve been dating for almost a year. He’s such a sweetheart, and every moment we spend together feels like a blessing. In general I’ve had no reason to suspect anything. I was on Facebook and his ex popped up in that reccomend friends list. Normally I don’t snoop on suggested accounts but I did this time, and it turns out to be the ex he claimed to have completely severed ties with. I found out they also follow each other on Instagram and she seems to be somewhat active on his posts. He told me they dated for a couple years but she cheated on him, after while he was tired of continuing to be emotional support for her so he cut her off. Fast forward in our relationship he confessed last time he was out of state for work they actually spent time together (she’s military, he’s a civilian military employee, they got based at the same place). Allegedly she was also engaged at the time and he wasn’t going to tell her partner about them spending time together until he asked (which her partner did ask). He said this was when they he cut ties with her. She’s still on his social media, and it makes me really uncomfortable. He saw a future with this person and used to talk about her a lot (the emotional and physical aspect of their time together) until I told him I was uncomfortable with how fondly he talked about someone who treated him so badly according to him. He’s since stopped talking about her but it just feels like he’s not telling me the full truth. I want to keep open and honest communication with him, how do I ask him about what’s going on without it coming off as accusatory or aggressive or anything?
Tl;dr: Partner said he cut ties with his ex and he hasn’t. I’d like advice on the proper way to talk to him about this without it coming off as I’m accusing him of cheating.

I went to a mall a few days ago to shop for some stuff. I walked in to FYE and bought some stuff there for the first time. When checking out, the cashier offered me a VIP card for discounts and stuff. Said it was free. I thought nothing of it since I have some stuff that rewards points for shopping elsewhere, which can be applied for discounts. However the cashier never told me it was free for a month, then $12 every month after. I got scammed as I was told there was no charge. He also asked me to pick three magazines (I told him no) to choose from for getting VIP, which also scammed me. I gave him my email, name, address and phone number to sign me up. My bank card is on file too because that's what I paid for my stuff with.
Now I've been seeing online that a lot of people got scammed the same way I do and it's a pain in the butt to cancel FYE and the magazine subscriptions. I logged onto FYE to cancel my membership - says they're "working on processing my request and I will get an email confirmation." I also sent them an email to their support. I do not want to call yet. I also don't know how to get the magazines cancelled, so I need help with that too. Has anyone had this same problem and able to cancel these memberships online without calling? I'm really upset by this this. I probably won't shop at FYE after this and want my subscription cancelled. I heard that getting a new debit card number will stop them from getting anymore money from you, but I haven't tries it yet. I'm still in the 30 day free trial. I need some help.

Hello YOASOBI, I am u/mawariyu, part of the mod team and I am coming to you with simple guidelines to create posts of higher quality!

Short flashback: 2 Years ago the subreddit reached it's first 1k members, an amazing milestone for a niche subreddit like this! Back then I used to do weekly posts with YOASOBI related news (I managed 36 weeks and then I got tired of it tbh). While the subreddit grew, YOASOBI as a group was a bit on a hiatus at that time, releasing new songs rather sporadically.
In the last couple months the pace picked up: The YOASOBI JP Arena tour started and the new Oshi no Ko Opening song IDOL was released. Just to give you guys some numbers: IDOL (jp ver.) was released roughly a month ago, and within the last month this subreddit got 240 new members. With a total of now 3.7k members, roughly 6.6% have been part of this subreddit for less than 30 days.
And first of all I want to say: THANK YOU for loving YOASOBI! The growth of the subreddit in the last 2 years is amazing, and I hope to see the subreddit grow even more.
**BUT*\* With increasing traffic on subreddits comes one problem: Post quality decreases.
How do you measure post quality? I did a quick google search and couldn't find something to copy and paste, so here are my 5 cents on what increases/ decreases the quality of a post: (Following is all an opinion)

1. Post Title: a) The title should summarize the post (e.g. like AITA posts) - Low quality titles could be: "QUESTION??" or "OMG LOOK AT THIS" or "SO CUTE HAHA ;) <3<3" b) When sharing an official YOASOBI MV, just copy & paste the Youtube title \- Low quality titles could be: "THEY RELEASED A NEW SONG" or "NEW SONG IDOL OUT NOW LETS GO" c) When sharing Links (youtube, twitter etc.), just post link and try to summarize the Announcement. Write additional information as a comment. - Low quality titles could be: "UMM HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?" or "I SAW THIS SONG ON TIKTOK AND I SEARCHED FOR IT ON YOUTUBE BUT COUDLNT FIND IT AT FIRST LOL BUT HEY I THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT LIKE IT!"
2. Post Flair: Please use an appropriate flair for your post if that exists. If in doubt, choose none and we as mods might assign your post one. It is not helpful for the filtering system if a random question post gets the flair "official", which is reserved for posts from, well, official YOASOBI accounts.
3. Post Content: a) We DO encourage discussions about the songs. - Please try guide the readers of your post into a certain direction, e.g. low quality post content: "Do you like the new song?" is nothing you can discuss about, as it is a YES/NO question. If you instead say something like: e.g. high quality post content: "I am interested in possible interpretations of the new song. Do you guys have any Ideas? It reminds me of the new John Wick movie" people might be encouraged to start an actual discussion. b) We DO encourage "discussions" about the YOASOBI members. - Of course keep it civil. "They owe us xyz!" or "Why don't they do abc?" is, again, nothing to discuss about and will only end in toxic commentary. Just be respectful to all YOASOBI members. c) If you have a question, please research 1. Official Twitter Accounts or 2. YOASOBI or 3. YOASOBI Discord for answers before posting a question. - Depending on the question itself, try to give enough context so anyone could actually help you out (don't doxx yourself though, please)
4. Other Options to increase Post Quality: a) Formatting (mostly for desktop users) b) Reread title and content to correct grammaspelling mistakes c) Add English translations to comments if you post e.g. a tweet in Japanese d) Add context to comments if you post a video/ picture e) A "Live Chat"-Post is awful and only makes sense for large scale subreddits.

Please don't think of those points as set rules but rather as a guideline to strengthen the YOASOBI subreddit.
High quality posts (should) lead to discussions and fun in participating in such.
So in the next time, if I see a really low quality post I will remove it and link this post.

Hi all,
I'm a long-time hay fever sufferer. I've had hay fever since I was 3 years old and I am now 37. I'm allergic to grass and tree pollen and my hay fever is usually very strong and lasts for 2 months (May and June).
Throughout the years I have managed to find many hacks that make my life with hay fever much more bearable. To the point that I actually enjoy this beautiful period of the year!
Here is what helps me in order of importance:

1. I take 600 mg NAC on an empty stomach once a day. This supplement reduces my hay fever by 70-80%. It works very quickly. I highly recommend you try it. If your symptoms are very bad, you can increase the dose. NAC reduces mucus production and lowers inflammation. For me, it was a game-changer.
2. Recently I bought an Air-Purifier which I use at home throughout the day and in my bedroom at night. I think it has made a difference and my symptoms are next to zero when I am at home. It's not hugely expensive. The model I bought is around 120 EUR. It's also very quiet and can be used when you sleep.
3. Nasal Filters - I use the WoodyKnows brand and I am happy with them. I use them when I go out and they clearly help to keep the pollen out of my nose. You have to find the right size for your nose so that they don't leave a gap but are at the same time comfortable. You can get used to wearing them and most people don't notice if you are wearing them.
4. If you can, wear contact lenses. I am short-sighted, so I wear contact lenses anyway, but when I switch to my glasses, my symptoms are much worse.
5. Wash your hair and body when you come home. This is very important and helps a lot.
6. Change your pillow case every day and the rest of your bed sheets twice a week.
7. Clean your nose and eyes with a saline solution a couple of times every day.
8. Vacuum and wet-clean the floors and surfaces of your home every couple of days. Clean with water your balconies, too.
9. If your eyes are constantly red and puffy, use anti-histamine eye drops. I use eye drops with the active ingredient Levocabastine.
10. Start taking antihistamines BEFORE the hay fever season starts. I use the medication Bilaxten.

If you are in Europe and can afford it, spend some time in hay fever-free places. For context, I live in Switzerland where the grass and tree pollen count is very high. But if I can do it, I love going for a week or so to Nice, France. I have practically zero hay fever there. The same is also true for Tenerife. Naturally, this is only a luxury solution :-)
Hay fever made me miserable in the past and I know how awful it can be.

Hey guys, so I’ve been playing ret paladin for awhile now and I really enjoy melee. I really want to try and get into healing as a holy paladin. Do you guys have any advice for a better transition and also any advice on how to get more comfortable with the mechanics in a rather shorter time? For years I have know about rape not needing to be a stranger jumping out of a brush to assault you. I have been one of the commenters saying consent means actively checking in on your sexual partner and for some people it's natural to freeze during an assault instead of fighting or fleeing. That consenting to sex, doesn't mean consenting to all kinds of sex, ect. But apparently for a numbers of reasons I have never applied these to my own past.
I kinda need to know what this looks like from the outside, because I honestly don't know anymore.
When I was like 18-19 I was drinking a lot, partying a lot and had a lot of casual sex (I know now, and knew even back then, that it was an unhealthy coping mechanism but I didn't really know how to deal with things other than that). I live in a generally sex positive country and the environment I frequented included a lot of hook up culture.
One night a guy took interest in me and I was down. We left the bar we were at, but had no place to go to have sex. It obviously annoyed him, and I suggested we just did it in park nearby, that would be empty at night. A really secluded place. He agreed since there where no better option. Things got rough really fast and to boil it down he almost bit off one of my nipples (as in, it was almost not connected to my body anymore - it ended up healing though), he tore my butt cheeks apart so roughly that my skin split all the way from my anus to where the cheeks meet. It was a bloody mess. I was bleeding vaginally too. In the moment I reacted with doing whatever I felt like I could to make him cum fast thinking then it would be over. It included thrusting back and moaning at points. Then he choked me so hard I almost passed out. I thought I would die and wanted to call out for help, but obviously couldn't get a word out. In the moment I thought "this I why he really really wanted a room. He's going to kill me". Then it was over. I used the next week to get over my injuries and hide the marks around my neck and shoulders and breasts and try to make things heal. And telling myself I was a bad bitch for engaging in what I at that point accepted as just bdsm (I know better now).
It never really occurred to me how wrong it all felt. I even met him later as we were regulars in the same place, and he ignored me. It was at that point I realized that he probably didn't actually think I liked it. Yeah, I know, I was naive.
I just stored it as bad sex in my memory, but now, being in my 30s and looking back at it, I feel like it really wasn't okay. I don't care for him so much at this point in my life, but I think what I really need to know is, is it possible to react like I did during an assault? To just do whatever to make it be over as soon as possible, including sexually interacting? And isn't it wrong to act that violently during sex with a new person without discussing it beforehand? In the situation I never really felt like it was possible to say no or stop it, but maybe it was?
I don't know if I have just told myself this was bad sex, because I couldn't accept myself as a victim of assault, or if what I did was actually willfully participating. I just feel so confused and have so many feelings about something that didn't matter to me nearly as much back then - maybe exactly because I acted like it was okay and that I had a choice.
I feel like I'm rambling, but has anybody heard of or experienced something like this or have any thoughts that can help me deal with suddenly looking at myself and my experiences in a different way.
(therapy is not an option in my life right now)

Not self diagnosising, my doctor referred me for Neuro, Pain Mgmt, and Derm (waiting to hear back to schedule) but, I have almost every symptom listed in the exhaustive list of IIH.
I have chronic skin problems with tunneling and swollen lymph nodes, painful cysts, boils, etc that my doctor thinks may be HS.
My chronic nausea, vertigo, migraines, and nerve pain in my head are so debilitating I'm mostly physically unable to be out of bed most days, or even long on days I can do stuff.
I had none of these problems in the 10 years leading up to this sudden onset of these symptoms. My PTSD and chronic pain simply do not act that way. My chronic pain (preexisting) is only in the 3 areas where I had injuries. Not my head.
My ridiculous skin problems have relented since 2016, when the VA promptly started ignoring them. With much much much persistentence, I would get antibiotics here and there that help a little, very temporarily, and antibiotic creams and solutions, and acne and anti microbial and anti fungal washes- that do approximately f all.
So I told him repeatedly wasn't being helpful, probably got a little heated but not explosive. Until this man that is my husband tells me I am being egotistical for not considering he could be right, and telling him he is wrong.
It's a sensitive subject for me, I get gaslit by everyone else. My doctors ignored and dismissed my problems for years. Don't fucking want it from the one person who is supposed to be supportive, or at least keep quiet if they can't be.
Such gems as:

(In regards to people misdiagnosising themselves, at which I pointed out women have lost organs, or portions of organs, due to doctors ignoring serious complaints in chronic symptoms from PCOS, and even cancers)

You put so much trust in yourself and it's not reliable.
I trust you speaking of my health then me of myself. Simply because you have an outside perspective.

(Hint: he fucking doesn't. It's like pulling fucking teeth trying to get this man to go to a doctor or therapist, like months to year long exhausting fucking slow fought battles)
And I wasn't overreactibe at first. I was irritated. And I tried to explain to him the symptoms of my PTSD and the chronic pain I've had 10+ years and the symptoms of the other stuff, and how they are different and why I have no reason to believe they are related... But he wouldn't stfu and let me, bc he was too busy speaking over me telling me I'm an asshole and egotistical for not just acknowledging he could be right.
Now he's the fucking victim bc I told him if won't take some time to read and educate himself about the nature of chronic illnesses and chronic health conditions, and the neglect, dismissal, and gaslighting of the medical community on the people living with said illnesses that that might be my last straw.
Maybe that's reactive, or overreactive. But I'd rather not have a partner instead of having one who can't be supportive (or at least fucking quiet on the matter) and is dismissive and gaslighting.
Oh, but wait, guys, I just remembered he's totally justified and qualified to make such claims: his cousin is a doctor.
