2023.03.31 17:40 Conscious_Arm_9777 Jizzy mission crash :(
Hi, i have a problem with the game. When I'm doing the "Jizzy" mission in the city of San Fierro while leaving the strip club, I have to take the woman to the hotel. When I enter the vehicle it suddenly exits the game by itself, can anyone help me with this? I have the game in the rockstar games version, so I don't know why there is such a big bug

2023.03.31 17:40 wannabeprofessor18 Advice for traveling to Madrid and Barcelona
Hi, what advice does everyone have for traveling to Madrid and Barcelona? Right now I am trying to find cheap hotels for both locations but it is hard to find one that has quiet rooms. Is it better to stay in a smaller, neighboring city? Are Airbnbs better? Is there anything else I should know?

2023.03.31 17:32 AndreasLa Building a 1900s version of the future based on old paintings
| I've been looking at old paintings of what 1900s people thought the future might look like: https://preview.redd.it/mrm415h3d3ra1.jpg?width=1212&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5650a67a721a8663c1dccbc0ead5fc8f7e2d5f6d https://preview.redd.it/f7uwu3h3d3ra1.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3498bce44b6fda48b27e706a3c8f833915082d14 https://preview.redd.it/o1g0y5h3d3ra1.jpg?width=692&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01bbdb7463ef54a6b3186440222761677f83ab98 And all of them have me in the mood for world building. Whether I'll use it for a story, I don't know. Based on these what I've got so far is: Certain city blocks can be moved by rail in order to guarantee sunlight or to avoid wind or smells (based on another photo I saw.) Police patrol with miniaturized, foldable Wright Flyers, but are only able to achieve a limited glide. Color-coded highways guide ground-based motorists toward their destination. Simple robotics enable the use of Walkman-like phones and assistance, wherein Farmers guide machinery using lay lines set up above their fields. Belt-Driven Motorcycles for off-road use. With aviation fast on the rise, cities grow vertically, and develop Rotor-Carriages. These lightweight machines transport people to and from Rotor-Stations located ontop walkways or down on the ground. They are essentially expensive cabs that can land atop virtually any building instead of taking the train. Flying becomes easier and cheaper and thus becomes the primary mode of transport. Perhaps airplane hotels and zeppelin hostels become a thing? Railways become more common, with multiple levels of them throughout cities. With roads and rails clearly defined, more emphasis is placed on parks and boulevards creating something akin to a solarpunk paradise, with lots of green and flowers. I would imagine with railways being a much bigger and more vertical thing that the day's youth might invent something akin to a skateboard or rollerblades that can travel up or down those lines for the hell of it. Reformers and parents object to it due to how dangerous it is. What I don't know is how these types of things would affect the rest of the world. Like, I assume aerial warfare would be much, much bigger. And if this version of the future was set in 1930-40s, I assume World War 2 would led to the innovation of airplanes much, much faster than in our world. Perhaps the war would bring about actual jet packs instead of Wright-esque gliders? How could trains be evolved, I wonder? And what about weaponry? Is there anything cool that could be done with 1900s weaponry when fed into this type of scenario. Like, could some sort of propeller-like design be used to create an automatic weapon? I don't know, but maybe you do? And something I've never given much thought to: language. What kinds of insults, expressions and euphemisms do you think this type of setting might conjure? submitted by AndreasLa to worldbuilding [link] [comments] |

2023.03.31 16:49 Real-Measurement-281 3 Nights Enough?
Hello!
So I am thinking about relocating to Wilmington, NC to possibly work in film. I want to visit for a few days, network, meet some people, and get a feel for the place to see if I'd be interested in moving down.
The Airbnb I found is pretty cheap but it's only available for 3 nights, I could find another hotel or Bnb but then I would be pushing it budget-wise (not out of the question though)
Do you think three nights is enough?
Also, does anyone know any places where the film people tend to hang out?

2023.03.31 16:49 10MinuteHorror In the 90’s, I picked up a hitchhiker who won’t leave me alone
I was travelling through Eastern Europe at the time and heard about a curse involving a Hitchhiker on an abandoned road.
I was the kinda person who ran towards shit like that. I wish I hadn’t.
The road was on the outskirts of a town and the locals gave me a good warning about it. The warning was simple - Once the sun drops, don’t drive down Zavodska rd.
I asked if that was because of looters or gangs or punk kids. But the locals said “No. It was because of the curse of ‘Avtostopnyk.’” Which is Ukrainian for “The Hitcher.” They warned me to not just think about myself, but also my friends and family.
I was curious, but lied and said I’d take their warnings.
That night, I went for a drive to Zavodska rd.
On the map, it showed the road started and finished with dead ends that had offshoots left and right.
Zavodska was six kilometres long, but a straight line distance between its beginning and end was only one kilometre. The road curved and swirled so much it made the length of the trip six times longer.
I arrived at the offshoot that led onto Zavodska. The entrance looked like every other quiet country road I’d passed to get here. But this road was separating two sets of forests which grew thicker and canopied overhead the further you went.
I turned onto Zavodska and drove thirty feet before the road curved off to the right. It turned sharply, right again, left again, and before I knew it, I lost all sense of direction.
I drove slow, taking my time as I followed the winding road through the thickening woods.
After five minutes, I came out the other side and Zavodska ended. Either I could go left or right, but Zavodska rd. was done.
The locals said that driving down the road was like playing Russian roulette. People mostly got lucky and the curse wouldn’t materialize.
But sometimes, if you turned your headlights off for a minute while driving then turned them back on, it would cause the curse to manifest.
I flicked off my headlights and slowly re-entered Zavodska. Without my lights, I was just barely able to see five feet ahead. A minute passed. Then two.
I turned my lights back on and immediately saw something ahead.
A figure was standing to the right of the road. Its arm was out, thumb up in a hitchhiking position.
I drove closer and made out the details of the figure.
It was a man. A homeless vagrant wearing a Priest’s outfit with a dirty collar. His hair was dark and wild and his eyes were demented. His face was covered in bloody wrinkles.
I couldn’t tell if he was smiling or screaming.
Within seconds of seeing him, I’d sweat through all my clothes.
I pushed the gas down to speed by him.
But it had the opposite effect. The car slowed. I slammed the gas pedal. Stomped it. Kicked it. But the car crept along, idling up next to the Hitcher.
The Hitcher came right up to the window, pressing his bloody, wrinkled face against it.
His smile pushed through the glass without breaking it and I felt his cold breath on my face. His eyes shimmered like a cat’s with an orange glow.
At this point I’d realized, somehow, I’d confused the gas pedal with the brakes and switched my feet. I hit the actual gas and peeled away, leaving a bloody wrinkle smear across the passenger side window.
I whipped around the next corner and the Hitcher disappeared from my rearview. But he reappeared, three more times along the side of the road, as I tried to get off Zavodska.
Finally, I reached the entrance and got onto the next road. And the next. And before I knew it I was back in the village. I went to my hotel, got my things and cut my vacay short.
The next day, I was on a flight back home.
But I kept seeing him.
It wasn’t often, but sometimes when I’d drive at night, I’d see the Hitcher on the side of the road. He started off with just a smile and a wave. Then he started running out into the street to get in front of my car.
Then he started trying to jump on the car. I was always alone, so I could never ask anyone if they saw him. I couldn’t tell if it was all in my head, or real.
I never saw him when I was walking, so the small amount of time I actually spent in a car went to nearly zero. I rarely travelled in cars or buses or any forms of road transit. I basically walked everywhere.
But I stopped driving or riding in transit altogether two years after I drove down Zavodska.
I was DD’ing my friend Jamie home from a dinner party when I saw the Hitcher in the middle of the road. I swerved to avoid him and figured Jamie thought I was crazy.
But Jamie saw the Hitcher too. He described the Hitcher’s Priest-like outfit and wondered why he was in the middle of the road, raging at me.
I wasn’t sure if it felt better knowing that someone else could see the Hitcher. Or worse knowing that the Hitcher had followed me home from Zavodska and was, in fact, real.
A week later, Jamie called me and told me he’d seen the Hitcher again when he was out for a drive with his wife. She’d seen him too.
A few days after, they both died in a freak car accident.
I haven’t stepped in a car again since.
But last week, I rode the city bus for the first time in years. And the second stop after I got on, I saw him.
The Hitcher.
He was on the side of the road. And he had my friend Jamie with him, and Jamie’s wife, who were both badly decomposed, but not dead.
I could see them weakly struggling. But they were being held up by the back of their necks by the Hitcher, who was in complete control.
The Hitcher made the two bodies move around like grotesque ventriloquist dummies, as he himself laughed and danced.
We drove past the spectacle, and I realized everyone on the bus was staring at the Hitcher too.

2023.03.31 16:36 wrestling678 Fightful: WWE Making Big Money to Hold Backlash in Puerto Rico
According to a report from
Fightful, WWE is getting paid a handsome amount of money to bring the Backlash PLE to Puerto Rico, as well as Smackdown. In recent years, WWE has made an effort to bring more of their premium live events and television shows to international arenas and stadiums across the globe. This trend started when the company began their partnership with Saudi Arabia in 2018, a place where they now host two PLEs every year. According to sources familiar with the situation, WWE is being paid a handsome fee of $1.5 million dollars to bring the Backlash PLE to San Juan, Puerto Rico in May. The fee is being paid out by the Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority (PRCDA) and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Backlash will be the first PLE/PPV that has been held in the country since New Year’s Revolution back in 2005.
It was also noted in the report that, “WWE is also speaking to various locations domestically and around the world about the economic impact (hotels, bars, restaurants) and spotlight (broadcast and social promotion in the area) that WWE brings to a city and its venue.” Obviously, they are going to keep making the most money they can from the deal.

2023.03.31 15:47 yayo415 3 week euro itinerary
Hello, this July, my partner and I will be going to Europe to spend 3 weeks (1st-21st). There’s a handful of cities we would like to visit: Amsterdam, paris, Alsace region(we have friends in the area), and Venice.
We have bought a multi city pass flying from LAX to Ámsterdam and from Venice back to LAX. Our rough plan is to spend: 2nd-6th in Amsterdam 6th-12th in Paris 12th/13th-15th in Alsace 16th-21st in Venice We plan on staying in hostels, hotels and with our friends in Alsace. We’re very relaxed people who like to stroll around museums and gardens, try out new cafes and restaurants, and enjoy having picnics in nice spots.
We were wondering if anyone had any input on our itinerary. Whether we should spend less/more time in certain cities and what spots you would recommend to see. This will be my partners first time abroad so I want to make it really special for her. Thank you for any help!

2023.03.31 15:38 ProfessorDonny Recommendaton for stay in Tulum / Vegan Food Recommendations / Cenotes / Day Trips
Me (29) and my gf (28) are finally heading to visit Yucatan next week. As we both haven't been in Mexico yet, we are excited. We decided to have our first stop after landing in Cancun to Tulum. As we want to skip Cancun & Playa Del Carmen, one can possibly tell already, that we are not into partying so much.
We decided to stay in
Casa Agape in Tulum. We decided to stay in downtown Tulum rather than the beach, since Hotels at the beach seemed a bit overpriced, and we wanted to experience some of the city. Also the cenotes are closer and with our Hotel, we get an access to a beach club as well, which I heard is needed to not get overcharged. It would be awesome to get your thoughts on the current plan, as we are planning to stay in Tulum only 3 days, and see the most beautiful part of it.
Which Cenotes should we not miss? Is it worth it to take a day trip to Cozumel for snorkeling? If yes, what's the best way to get there?
Which Vegan Food Options should we definitely not miss out on when in Tulum? Any beach/beachclub experience we should not miss out on?
What's the best way to book a tour through the nearby Biosfera and how do we get to Punta Allen?
Many thanks!

2023.03.31 15:31 Ok-Student-9078 24 m4f Downtown - Looking for a hookup this afternoon
I'm at work this morning Downtown and I'll get off in the early afternoon. Hoping to find a girl who is down for some fun later. I'm not hosting, you'd have to be the one to host. I'm looking for someone who is in downtown or close to downtown (preferably inside the loop). Please do not message me if you are somewhere that's far from the city. If you're somewhere like living on a college campus such as UH or something, I'd be happy coming to your dorm for some fun.
An age range of 18-33 will work just fine. If you're local to Houston, I wouldn't be adverse to this becoming a regular fwb thing. If you happen to just be visiting here or on a business trip or whatever and you have some downtime in your hotel room, I'd be happy to come over and have some fun with you as well. If you're interested, shoot me a chat and we can get it started! Please include your age and what part of Houston you're in when you message me. I don't like reddit chat so I'll wanna move to snap pretty quick.

2023.03.31 15:29 DarkCloudParent Is Canada dog-friendly?
Thinking of a trip to Quebec or Toronto. Are those cities as dog friendly as the US? I found a chain hotel in Quebec that said dog friendly. Oh lord, there too? Is there any escape in the western hemisphere?
