# Afternoon, Citizen!
**We are the 82nd Special Operations Command, a semi-realistic Halo unit that strives to provide a friendly and engaging experience for players of all backgrounds and skill levels.**

**Two platoons, each serving a different time zone:**
TYR – Our North American Platoon, primarily organized as ground infantry.
SLEIPNIR – Our European Platoon, organized as Mechanized Infantry,
**A variety of detachments to support the platoons:**
JOTUNN – Our Orbital Drop Shock Trooper teams. The future iteration of paratroopers, Jotunn provides the 82nd with Transorbital Support Interdiction, Direct Action, and Special Item Capture and Recovery capabilities.
DAINSLEIF – Our Vehicle Corps. They provide a multitude of Resupply, Transport, and Direct and Indirect Fire Support options.
GUNGNIR – Our Aviation detachment. They provide Close Air Support, Close Air Patrols, Logistical Support and Enemy Interdiction capabilities.

**Main Ops and Field Training Exercises (FTXs)**
- TYR - Main Ops are held every Wednesday, and FTXs are held every Sunday, both at 7:00 pm EST.
- SLEIPNIR - Main Ops are held every Sunday, and FTXs are held every Saturday, both at 7:00 pm GMT (2:00 pm EST).
- Detachments fill into TYR or SLEIPNIRs’ timeslots, to provide support.
