I remember the plot so clearly but no amount of googling has lead me to the answer. I read it in 11th/12th grade English class.
The book (could have been a play?) followed a poor woman who sold flowers on the streets of (probably London) a city in the UK. Some sort of expert of linguistics or accents found her and wanted to prove to his colleagues that he could take someone who has spoken with a common cockney accent and make them unrecognizable so they could flawlessly blend in with the British nobility. The book/play then follows the dynamic between these two and how he trains her. I forget exactly why she agreed but something along the lines of just getting off the streets I think.
I believe I read it alongside other plays like the Glass Menagerie and classic high school literature like 1984, clockwork orange, etc.
I don't need to know it for any pressing reason. I just know there's no way I dreamt this up but my feverish googling is trying to prove me otherwise. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Guys, Please let me know if this sounds like a good plan. We are landing on April 5th and leaving on the 18th. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 7 and 12.
5th Arrive at NRT. Get to Tokyo station to board Shinkansen for Kyoto. Send luggage with Taqbin, get Wi-Fi etc. Arrive at hotel in Kyoto. Sleep for the night.
6th We have this one day before we are meeting with up with friends to start the fun !!

Hey, people! I have an itinerary of a trip I have in mind for New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I have it attached below. I do have some things I wanted to add. Firstly, I plan on attending a baseball game at LSU (they are playing Mississippi St). The game is on the 12th, so I would swap my 3rd and 4th day. I also plan on doing this ghost and voodoo tour of New Orleans.

Also acid washed the blade then hand rubbed it and then finished it off with a nice tumble. I didn’t sharpen it after the mods. I also swapped the thumb stud for a more subtle look. I have the box/pouch/COA/disassembly tool and original thumb stud. Very cool knife from a lesser known custom knife maker.All in all I have around $750 tied up in this one.
