I was diagnosed with Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (Circadian Rhythm Disorder) around 3 years ago now. Was struggling with insomnia since I was a child so for nearly my whole childhood I was sleep deprived due to school. From 1-2 years ago, I started sleeping normally thanks to my treatment but I still had crazy fatigue and nausea. I've since been diagnosed with CFS/ME which seems to keep getting worse. It was my mom who actually told me that she thinks that my CFS might be the aftermath of some kind of physical PTSD that my body has from 8 years of sleep deprivation and stress.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? I know there's people who have got cfs through long covid too. Being bed ridden all day really gives you time to think about it so I'm probably just excessively speculating. 🤧

Hey everyone. I made a big mistake dating a woman who’s 19 and in the middle of a divorce. The first month was good, she was very affectionate and into me.
Then a couple weeks ago her ex husband who’s in the navy committed a crime and is in legal troubles. This caused her to be stressed and pull back immediately from me. She became completely cold, texted less, wanted to see me less and less and pulled back all affection from me.
Now she’s in contact with the ex trying to be there for him, and may have to go see him in another state.
She’s done all the initiation of texts since this but it’s still the same. She’s incredibly cold. Doesn’t even want to kiss anymore.
During this time I’ve met and gone closer with another woman in my class. We kissed last night and I feel guilty.
What should I do?

I have an assignment which consists in making a knowledge graph for a monument. I study digital marketing and am a little lost with this assignment so am looking for someone to walk me through the exercise step-by-step on discord. im a 13 year old male and i live in Iowa Amerika i go to middle school and i get bullied alot. so this particular day i was having a nice day and i haddent been bullied yet. in comes the karen, whom we will call sarah, thats not her real name. sarah is a 13 year old female who anoys the crap out of me she has been bullying me through out three different schools. she joind this school and my last school just to bullie me, now you might be thinking that i am making it up that she joind my school just to bullie me, but she litterally said it to my face. so anyway i try to get past her without her seeing me but of course i cant get by. she walkes up to me and askes what i was doing. i tell her that its none of her buisness. she then goes on to say: are you talking to me? you should back off. now this is when her idiotic friend comes in, we will name her luci thats not her real name either. she, not knowing what is happening just strait up calles me fat. now i am not fat. so sarah just starts laughing at me and i just walk away, that was a bad decision because that just made her mad. she grabs my back pack and starts emtying it onto the ground. now i am a cristion and im not sepposed to punch girls but i punched this girl so hard. she punched me back and then proceeds to fake cry while im laying there not understanding what just happened. so some teachers come and ask what is happening and luci tells the that i punched her for no reason. now something that i didnt say is that i always hae a web cam filming at all times. i usually get rid of the videos after i get home but this time i had the upper hand and i knew she had messed up. so me finally on my feet told the teacher that they were lying and that they started it all. the two girls said: no its two vs one. so i hope to see you in the principle office. than i pulled out the webcam. now these girls faces went pale when they saw it. now my webcam is very small so i can hide it in some pretty sneeky places. but anyway the teacher asked what it was because it lookes like a marble. so i said that it was a webcam. and that i caught every thing on camera, and that i use it to protect myself. the girls were blaming me for breaking one of the school rules and filming inside the school, witch is a rule that we arent sepposed to break. but i do it anyway sinds i get bullied all the time. so the teachers egnore the girls and ask me to see the footage. now my school is very strict about bullying. so they will send kids off school for bullying. after they reviewd the footage they send the parents of these girls a email saying that their kids are getting sent off school. these parents were pissed but it had nothing to do with me. im just glad im never gonna have to see these karens ever again.
so am i the gerk for getting these girls sent off school?

I used to shoot for paid gigs on a Sony A73 with GM lenses, but decided to get rid of them a while back since they weren't getting enough use (was just doing work sporadically on the side when approached and then just doing some hobby work here and there) to warrant the amount of money in them.
I do miss the photography and also want to do some video work (things like cooking videos, maybe some traveling, etc.). This is going to be 100% for personal stuff, not paid.
I've always been a fan of Canon color and usability (Sony seriously needs to revamp their menu). At this point, I'm looking at the Sony A74 (I realize these are pretty different in terms of price and target market, but keep reading) with something like a cheaper third party lens, or the Canon R8 with something like the 24-105 f/4 L.
My non-negotiables: - 4K/60, 10-bit 4:2:2 - grading on 8-bit got annoying, especially after I tried working with 10-bit - Decent MP for prints - Full frame - $3k all in budget - really don't want to go past this
My biggest gripes with the two choices: - The lack of physical features on the R8 since it's an entry-level targeted body are a bummer (no autofocus joystick, build quality) but aren't a killer. The small battery in the Canon is quite sad, but I don't do long sessions of anything - extra batteries are meh but are a viable solution. The lack of IBIS and second card slot are not that bothersome to me, especially since I'm not planning on doing professional work with this. - Seeing that my budget is $3k, I would have to go for "inferior" glass if I jump into the Sony. Especially coming from GM glass, I am worried that leaving only $500 in the budget for a third party lens is going to be quite disappointing. I could go used A74 since it's a slightly older model and put about $800 into a third party lens like a Sigma, which would probably come pretty close to the Canon 24-105, but new things are always nice lol. I do have some Sony batteries/chargers left over from my previous setup, but not enough to largely sway the decision.
The new ZV-E1 intrigued me for video, but the lack of an EVF and MP that would only make photos good enough for posting online (and the price...) turned me off.
Need some fanboys or more knowledgeable people to spout their arguments!

I'm just learning the basics of oblivion modding, I already made a new item of clothing (nothing exciting, just a recolour. I didn't upload it, it was for practice).
I want to learn more and the best way is to go and DO it. But... I can't think of of something within or near my skill level to achieve. I don't want to be over-ambitious and give up, but I also don't want to do something like another recolour as I'm not learning anything and it's not that interesting to make stuff like that over and over unless it's part of a large-scale mod haha.
Does anyone have any experience with this and can recommend a next step?
I would take a request but I don't feel confident enough yet in my abilities, so if you do suggest something, don't expect me to do it or upload it (sorry!)

So I(F, 27) have been with this woman (37) for around 3 years, constantly on and off, due to no fault of my own. It would always be ended by her because ‘things didn’t feel right’ or ‘I need to work on myself’ but would then come back a few weeks later wanting to get back together and work on things. I would work on it and things wouldn’t change from her side. I have never ended the relationship and as far as I’m concerned, I love her to pieces and would like a future with her if she changes her ways. She suffers with mental health problems (as do i) but we just deal with it differently which is absolutely fine. I have tried to support her through everything but I feel like I’m getting no where. We broke up a few weeks ago because ‘she doesn’t think I’m her person’ how does someone just think that after nearly 3 years? Is she in a crisis and just blocking me off? I have also had some suspicions that she is still in love with her ex, please help

I've just started shooting film the last few months with an Olympus OM-1n and OM-2n. I prefer SLRs over rangefinders for now as I find them easier to focus with, but I did get curious and I picked up a Yashica Electro CCN and have shot about 4 rolls on it.
I've had mixed results with the Yashica as it was sometimes hard to focus, or shots that I thought were in focus turned out horribly out of focus. I was looking around and found out about EBL but one thing that got me confused was this line from Camera Quest
It says "Rangefinder images with BOTH superimposed AND split images are more accurate than superimposed images alone because the human eye can focus split images VERY easily. Unfortunately, only the Leica M's, CL, CLE, Hexar RF, Rollei RF, Voigtlander Bessa R, R2, R2A, and R3A have this feature. According to Modern Photography, with some people this accuracy increase may be as much as 5 times!
What am I talking about? OK, take one of these cameras and focus on the proverbial telephone pole. Notice the two images INSIDE the rangefinder spot. Notice the two images go together or apart inside the rangefinder spot--that is the superimposed image which most rangefinders have. But look again AT THE OUTSIDE EDGES of the rangefinder spot. As you focus, you can also match up the telephone pole to the OUTSIDE EDGES of the rangefinder spot--that is the split image capability."
So I'm really confused now. I thought that all rangefinders basically superimpose a ghost image onto the middle patch and you align them. Now this article says there are some with both a split prism + rangefinder patch combined. However when I checked the stated models, they all simply have a regular patch with ghost image.
1) Is it an outdated article? What did I misunderstand?
2) Could I replace the Yashica with a Canon 7SZ with a 35mm f/2 and get more accurate focusing?
3) How important is EBL if I intend to shoot 35mm f/1.4 for example? The Zeiss Ikon ZM looks kinda nice and it seems to have a decent EBL. For now I'm satisfying my wants of a 35mm f/1.4 experience using the Laowa 25mm f/0.95 on a Fuji X-T4, but manual focusing on the EVF just doesn't some close to optical viewfinders.

Hello there, fellow authors.
I have this dream of being an author but to me it's not only the drive for telling stories. I love thinking about my future readers picking up my book to immerse themselves in another story that let's them escape reality. That's still the main reason I enjoy it and can't wait to publish my first book.
But for me personally, I also strive to be independent and escape the corporate hustle which is not even worth the grind anymore in my opinion. I have had my fair shares of experiences in toxic work environments, as an employee as well as a freelancer, and I am just fed up with the way people in the corporate world are treating each other. So as with reading books I want to escape that reality by writing books. Which brings me to my sort-of question of my little rant. What has the full-time author experience been like for you? Is that just a fantasy of mine or is the freedom I strive for somewhat real? What are your experiences, ups and downs, you have experienced being a successful author that can pay the bills and what's it like to know that you may never have to work a 9-5 ever again?
I am aware of the difficulties and challenges that come with writing, publishing and marketing a book but I am willing to take on everything with pleasure if it ensures me never having to work for other people again.

Late 30s looking to smooth away forehead wrinkles. It’s my first time trying cosmetic botox. I had medical done for nearly a decade with very spotty results which is why I'm being (overly) cautious about the provider. I'm nervous because I've read about nerve damage to brow muscles, etc. Want to go to an NP or higher who does it all day every day.
I did a lot of reading online and found a place that has only 5 star reviews across social and Google along with a descriptive website with bios and all treatment options. Made an appointment for 2 “areas” (apparently they don't charge by units?) which is $550, and was told it's $695 for 3 areas. That's expensive, but what struck me was how surprised the receptionist responded when I asked about consultation/question time. She said no, I'd be charged if I didn't go through with it, but reluctantly said the NP would call me. Instead I received a text a few hrs later giving one word answers or very clipped responses that didn't address my concerns. I'm having second thoughts. For that price -- not to mention making your customers comfortable/loyal -- I feel I should at least get 15 mins of discussion up front. It's important that I'm an educated consumer after my previous bad experiences. Now I'm wondering why they ONLY have 5 star reviews and no Yelp listing at all. No one has ever complained about something minor like an extra wait time or bad music in the lobby?
Are my expectations unrealistic and how do I go about finding another place that won't completely rip me off? Im in a very expensive city and not comfortable doing any sort of discounts for this kind of work. I don't mind paying for quality, but the communication so far doesn't instill confidence. Please help!

Okay, so the space bacon has increased. I think Mom is trying to cheer me up. I mean, it's not not working. I won't say no to delicious, delicious space bacon. What I want is some goddamn whiskey. Or some chocolate.
I wish I knew more about chemistry, the only fucking reason I even know there's caffeine in the tea is because I recognized its effect on me. If knew how to draw the molecules of hooch, maybe I could help my family figure this shit out.
Pretty sure the lack of xenos coco beans leaves me SOL on the chocolate front.

In other news, the hands and Lucy are moving ahead with me merch. Is a five percent cut fair? I mean, it's my likeness and shit, but it's not like I'm doing any work. Then again, it would be funny if they caught on, so I'll definitely help promote that shit.
As Master at Arms, the state of the armory is my responsibility, and I have to say, it's pretty pathetic. These plasma casters wouldn't penetrate a standard boarding power armor's battle screens, let alone dent its heat dispersal systems. Speaking of armor, we have fuck all. The vac suits are even fucking soft sided. Leaving alone the fact that you want to tank your atmo during a fight to avoid the possibility of explosive venting, so fighting in vac suits is fucking standard, what if you have to go a spacewalkin' to repair something and get hit by debris? You're fucked in this soft sided shit.
Automatic naval shotguns aren't really an option, and there isn't really anything available that I would call equivalent. I can get some magac factettes to add a little kinetic to our arsenal, but they're semiauto and vulnerable to EMP strikes. Finding anything that's chemical propellant at all is proving to be extremely frustrating. I really don't like having that gaping hole in our defenses.
Speaking of holes, the armor. I brought it up with Pops, and he admitted that he's always ignored armor because he's always been uninterested in sailing anywhere remotely dangerous. Well the wide sea is all about you, you can fence yourself in, but you cannot fence it out. I felt kinda bad for being critical of his armory, but my job is to make sure the We Sing can defend herself, and now we're planning on going to space Tortuga.
We're going over to that Justiciar to request some combat vac armor. I want the bridge crew and a shipboard response team capable of acting even in the event of losing atmo.
Time to start drilling the kiddos for lockdowns. Maybe I can disguise it as a game. Speaking of the kiddos, I had a decent chat with Sarge. He gets why I was so harsh with him, and apologized for not thinking more clearly. Kid has a good heart, and will be a good leader one day. One day, but not today Sarge. Enjoy being a teenager for now, and don't worry about growing up just yet.
Then, I told the crew how I wound up in that animal shelter. Not a pleasant story to tell, but not so harrowing as the grubs.

Dear Diary,

We're getting ready to set sail.
Which is a bit more complicated since all twelve of the stops we plan on making are completely different markets than Mom's used to. She's been sinking her teeth into the social medias of the destinations though, and is slowly filling our hold with the few local products that will be in demand there.
Well, I have a product that's going to be in demand everywhere.
I will soon anyway, and Daddy said that we could use one of the cargo bays for our manufacturing base, and we still had enough money in our pool to get some textiles and stuffing material. I hope we don't waste too much of it getting the settings right.
I think that Greg is actually pleased with the idea of a cuddly toy of himself. He's got a soft spot for making kids happy, after all.
He told us the "last important part" about his past. I guess that means that he has lots of little stories he could tell, but this was the answer to the questions we've politely held back from asking since he showed that he's a person. Such as how he wound up in that kennel, and what happened to him in the fighting pit. I mean, we had the police reports, but that's just what some cops thought about what they saw and some recordings of the fights taken from the poachers' databanks.

Gregory had some criticisms of the armory. I knew he would, but it is still discordant to listen to him talk about combat effectiveness of various weapons. It's the dissonance between how lethal and how cute he is.
Apparently, his people believe in redundancies in weapons systems, such that they still use chemical propellant weapons. This means they either have electromagnetic pulse weapons, or are extraordinarily paranoid.
In any case, he's spent most of the day putting together a requisition for some more weapons, and wants to see about getting some armor from the Justiciar. Well, that might be an interesting encounter to watch, so I've reached out to her to see if anybody is willing to meet us over the issue. The Lord Justiciar himself wants to have tea. Oh, this is going to be funny.
He said that he owed us some more answers, and asked Trevdi to gather who she thinks can hear the story, and settled into a chair to tell the story.
"Well, this bit is... it is what it is. You've heard me mention Sanctuary before, and all of you have very politely avoided questioning me over it. But I'll explain anyway. Sanctuary is one of two rest and recreation planets, the Army one is called Respite. Anyway, Sanctuary is set aside, it has a low tech level, very little dangerous fauna, a nice, temperate to tropical climate, and low population. Importantly, it has no spaceport, or station, and the only way onto the planet is supposed to be to ride a shuttle down from a Navy ship. This is to keep the planet low-stress but activity dense to help us relax and recharge for redeployment. In my case, I was ordered there for mental health treatment.
"I uh... I did not take the break up of the Lost Boys very well, as I've said before. There were good people in the Navy who wanted to help me do what I wanted though. Like Doctor Johan. Even still, I was not very good at relaxing, so I got ordered back to Sanctuary after a few missions to work on that.
"It wasn't great that I'd get stuck on a planet for weeks at a time. Stuck on a planet, and not even working, but I didn't want to accept a medical discharge. That's when they declare you medically unfit for duty.
"Anyway, one of the things that I was working on was incorporating my skills into peaceful activities. So, recreational survival skills. Kind of full circle on that one, but I always liked going into wilderness, exploring, seeing beauty. So in order to help me get out of "work mode" and into a more... I don't know, "normal mode," was to just go on hikes. To just go camping. The trick was to not be, well, sneaky about it. I'll never not move quietly, but I did finally start camping in nice, open areas without carefully concealing my presence and equipment if I had any.
"It was a beautiful night, warm. Clear. No sign of bad weather. I'd decided to forgo the tent. Oh, that's a portable shelter. I'd just spread out my bedroll and was gazing at the stars, thinking about whether I'd be sent to protect some brothers soon.
"I woke up in a pit. It was big enough for me stride twice along each wall, and the rim was out of my reach. I could sort of try to shimmy up a corner, except for the shock collar. That scorching shock collar.
"It shocked me if I was too fast, if I was too slow, if I made an noise, if I refused to eat, if the googly eyed void sucker felt like I needed a shock.
"When it was time for me to beat some poor creature to death, they'd just turn it on full blast until I was convulsing on the floor, shove me in a cage and then came the needle. I don't know what they injected me with, but whatever it was, it wiped all thought from my mind, and made it feel like there was fire under my skin.
"I was completely out of control. I think that it must be how a grub victim feels. I was screaming. Screaming.
"Once I beat some innocent animal to death, then it was a tranquillizer. Then they strapped me to a machine, I don't know the word, but I think it was a blood filter. Whatever it was it hurt.
"My memory is a bit spotty, but eventually it was the... the people who go clickety-clack. Then, you brought me home.
"So that's how I got here. Thanks for taking me in."

It's been so long now since we spoke, but in a way it still feels like yesterday.
I don't really know who else to write to. Been trying to be social and talk to people, both online and in person, but I'm clearly terrible at it and am getting nowhere.
Other than the isolation it's been a good year. Mostly recovered from that nervous breakdown and depression. Been exercising nearly every day with a spin bike I picked up in January and some weights. Eating healthier -- lost 14kg as well as getting stronger. Two years now since I quit smoking successfully, yay. Thanks for all the encouragement. :)
Finally working again. It's the usual kind of gig, doing website stuff remotely. Really digging the job and it's going well so far.
Hope your family is alright and wish the best for them. I worry about them often. And aren't you about to graduate the master's here soon? Hope that's going well for you, I know it's been a longtime goal. Followed by a year of work training if I remember correctly -- no idea what'll happen after that but you've probably got it figured out.
Anyway, all that said, I know you probably don't want to hear from me. What does it matter, as long as you're happy that's the important thing.

US stocks could rally 14% by the end of the year, as the recent banking turmoil will likely to lead to the Federal Reserve pausing its rate-hiking campaign, according to Ed Yardeni.
The Yardeni Research president expects measures taken by the US central bank and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, a government-run body that insures deposits, will keep the fallout in check.
"The financial crisis we've had here — this banking crisis — is going to be very well contained by both the Fed and the FDIC," the veteran investor told CNBC's "Closing Bell" on Wednesday.
"And at the same time, I think it's going to keep the Fed from raising interest rates even further," he said.
"I don't see the Fed lowering interest rates. But I think they are currently now at a restrictive enough level where they don't have to keep raising interest rates."
A pause in rate rises by the central bank will power gains in the S&P 500, according to Yardeni.
He expects the benchmark US stock index to reach 4,600 points by the end of 2023 – which would represent a 14% rise from its Wednesday closing level of 4,028.
The Fed has lifted borrowing costs from near-zero to just under 5% over the past year in a bid to bring inflation down to its 2% target level.
