Rev9 coilovers
Dropping 2018 Camry Xle
2023.03.13 04:12 yepitspete Dropping 2018 Camry Xle
Im thinking about dropping my 2018 Camry xle Unfortunately there’s not many brands that do xle coilovers. D2 are about $1100 and rev9 are about $500 ( which I never really heard about rev9). If you dropped your Camry what brand did you go with and how big of a drop do you have on your Camry, pics of your drop are welcomed 👍

2023.01.27 06:23 AppointmentEfficient Rev9 vs truhart calilovers
I've been looking at the Rev9 Hyper Street 2, or Truhart Street plus coilovers for my 2003 Impreza Rs bugeye (2.5), as they are within my budget and seem to have decent reviews. So just looking to get some feedback from people who have had/have either brand, and the pros and cons before I make a final purchase decision.

2023.01.23 01:36 jmert005 Best budget Coilovers?
Which Coilovers would you all recommend (2012 tsx) ?
- TEIN street basis Z
- REV9 hyper street II
- TRUHART streetplus
Also other questions-
- The TEIN does not come with top hats, would this make installation more difficult?
- Should I also get an upgraded rear sway bar or would the handling be improved by the Coilovers themselves?

2023.01.13 22:58 BoganLogan Hearing a whining noise from engine bay after a new suspension wheel alignment
Just purchased a 2002 Honda Civic DX with 133,000 miles on it, and changed out the coilover suspension myself. The Civic already had Maxpeedingrod Coilovers on it when I purchased it and was out of alignment. Like steering wheel was at 2'oclock in order to go straight. I put in Rev9 coilovers. Yes I know they are cheap, but this is a beate learning project car. I took it in to the shop for an alignment, and on the way home, I noticed a high-ish whining noise coming from the engine bay. To my ear, it sounds like it is coming from either the drive belt or this silver or the silver connector in this photo.
https://imgur.com/a/bzskJb5 The sound is strongest somewhere between the two yellow arrows. It seems to sometimes get louder when turning the steering wheel or being idle. Doesn't seem to get louder when accelerating. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks!

2023.01.10 21:08 childofbones rice?
would it be wayy too rice to put a bunch of my stickers on before my wheels and coils finally ship? just waiting on them, but some decals and stickers came much earlier than expected, and i’m really excited to put them on. not that it matters i just don’t want to be a massive laughing stock around town for being that guy. for context, 2013 white 9th gen si sedan, body is stock but engine isn’t, but i’ll be putting it on rev9 coilovers and 18 inch wheels as soon as i get them in the mail. stickers are tasteful and match, it’s not gonna be a stickerbombed mess like 90’s shitbox ex’s all over fb marketplace.

2023.01.08 21:39 lilpeep007 Apologies in advance
I’m looking to spend ~$500 on coilovers, what should I go for? Looking at Tein, Rev9, raceland, maybe maxpeeding rod… really looking to get some better riding than the 30 year old blown out struts on it lol

2022.12.30 04:19 behindbrowneyesesh About to go FBO
2013 v6 mustang. Here's the "build" sheet: . MPT TUNE ( 87 PRX, 93 PRX) . 3.73:1 Gears with the posi all by FRPP ofc . roush axleback exhaust with a BBK catted x-pipe( off road purposes ofc) .JLT Cai . BBK throttlebody
I am going lower it and was actually curious if anyone was running this set up I'm thinking of or if you ran/run one or the other: c&l rear shock and front struts and BMR Lowering springs. I've ran rev9 coilovers on my accord no issues but I don't plan on slamming this thing just a mild drop
my bigger question is what else should I do like maintenance wise after I do all the bolt on? I had a friend tell me upgrade my water pump and piping and all the "cheap" things? He was making sense but didn't explain himself.

2022.12.16 16:44 lightsaber_lobotomy Rev9 VS Truhart coilovers
So I've finally made up my mind after a lot of back and forth as to whether I want to go static or go with coilovers, and decided finally on coilovers.
I've been looking at the Rev9 Hyper Street 2, or Truhart Street plus coilovers for my 8th gen Civic sedan, as they are within my budget and seem to have decent reviews.
So just looking to get some feedback from people who have had/have either brand, and the pros and cons before I make a final purchase decision.

2022.11.16 01:32 HandleDapper2640 Made a post earlier about lowering springs and someone said It would be best to get new shocks, at that point I think I might just get coilovers. Are these any good? I’m in a tight budget. For my e60😁

2022.09.20 01:08 NaisuMimu Anyone know of 11" rear coil springs?
Working on my Gs ride height, Rev9 coilovers but the rears are still too low on the 9" springs. Anyone know of 11" tall coil springs?

2022.08.19 09:40 childofbones Divorced coilover setup in rear, wanting to change ride height.
Wanted to come to the pros before I attempted anything on my own. I adjusted my front ride height taller to accommodate stock wheels, but the rear is a divorced setup. Looking to raise the rear ride height significantly as well as the front as winter is coming, and I haven’t had to daily my stance car through the winter before, and am gonna have to. Sitting on Rev9 fully adjustable coilovers, and I bought my car with it sitting on these (please refrain from the bought not built comments, I know, I’m working on it) do I raise height in rear by springs or struts? Do I need to adjust both? If so how do I know what to adjust struts in adjacent to springs? Are there certain rules I need to abide by when raising one or the other? Please approach this as I’m as ignorant as it gets, and really need it babied down. I need thorough to learn. Thank you in advance for any and all help!

2022.07.27 01:03 EliPro414 Lowering my LS400 on a budge
I’m trying to lower my LS400 and am on a tight budget. I don’t really care about the ride quality after I lower it, I just want it done. I know i’m going to get flamed for having these options but here are they.
Rev9 Godspeed MonoSS Are the Rev9’s really as bad as everyone’s saying they are? I get that you get what you pay for but i’m just in the middle about them.

2022.07.23 18:44 e90fam Lowered car and acceleration issues
Hey guys, I have a 2009 ES 350. Lowered the car on rev9 coilovers with no problems in 2019. Since replacing the oem axles in 2020 with oe, car has had a shuddering vibration while accelerating, especially under hard acceleration. Does anyone know if I were to go back to stock suspension, my problem would be fixed? Any suggestions are appreciated.

2022.07.23 04:38 gaelictree Looking for budget coilovers
I'm looking for budget coilovers in the 500 dollar range for my NB and was wondering if anyone has had experience with some of the ones I'm looking at. The car is daily driven and NOT tracked, no real hard driving just some spirited driving here and there. Right now I'm looking at Rev9, Tein basis Z and Raceland. Would anyone recommend these for the price?

2022.07.07 07:14 DavidkDavid WRX or WRX STI coilovers for 2005 Saab (Saabaru) 92x Aero? Will either fit?
Getting some new coilovers for my Saabaru to fix camber issue, stop rubbing, and keep the lowered stance. I found some from rev9 that a friend recommended after having them on his WRX for a few years.
Not sure if the Saabaru takes the WRX or WRX STI version of the coilovers. Do they both fit but have different characteristics? Will one not fit?
