Hey, I am coming to NY for work. I need someone to guide me how to buy a used car to get to work/groceries etc. I have a valid US driving license.
My concerns are;
How much time it takes to buy a used-one? Will that be a good option for me as I don't want to be standing at repair shops
I need to buy in a month because of time constraints. Is that possible? What reliable resources/sites should I start looking into?
What is the exact procedure involved in buying a car in the US. What documents do I need?
What paperwork do I need to get done after purchasing a car?
Any pointers on how should I maintain it? Since I hear that mechanics rip you off a lot in NY.

I remember reading about this game and looking at pictures in a magazine. I ended up downloading it way back and finding out that it was a choppy, buggy mess. Imagine S.T.A.L.K.E.R set in South America. Maybe you played as a CIA agent, You got to pick sides and do missions for crooked cops, local militia and maybe even drug smugglers. Its total freedom and you can drive around in various military, civilian and luxury cars. First mission you talked with a copy in bar if i recall correctly.
Not sure the game got a good reception when it first was released.

- What are the rent expenses of a room for an exchange student (as I will not have to pay a tuition fee, I understood I will pay considerably less) - Do you know if it is hard to get a room in a residential college (e.g. do they use a raffle because of limited spots?) - Is it any fun (lol) - Is there a big difference in culture between the different residential colleges? - Are there a lot of rules when living in a residential college / is it strict?

The eurocrats in Brussels had formulated the ban as part of their plan to reach net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. But what regulators imagine would replace conventional engines remains a mystery. Battery technologies don’t exist to replace fossil fuels in driving distance or ease of refueling, and no one can say if or when such batteries will materialize.
EVs also need subsidies for consumers and for production across the supply chain to be profitable. What's more, EVs also require rare-earth minerals often sourced from dirty mines in China.
For these reasons... plus a strong dose of old-fashioned commercial self-interest... Germany’s auto industry objected to the ban on internal-combustion engines, and it’s good they did. Resistance from Berlin and several other European gov'ts has forced Brussels into all but abandoning its engine ban.
Consumers will be allowed to buy internal-combustion autos as long as those cars can run on synthetic fuels, which are fuels made from captured carbon or renewable energy. Brussels still seems to hope that these cars will run only on such “e-fuels” by that deadline. But doubts about the technological feasibility of that pledge may explain why environmental groups were aghast at the decision.
The usual suspects complain this is another earth-destroying crony gift from Berlin to its auto industry—as if there’s no cronyism or corporate welfare involved in subsidizing EVs that carry their own high environmental costs. The reality is that the big winners are consumers, who will enjoy a wider range of motors and fuel types with which to balance their mobility needs and their green aspirations.
To Sum It Up: European's will have a luxury that consumers won’t enjoy in California, Oregon and Washington state, where bans on new cars with internal-combustion-engines remain on the books for 2035. You know your state capital has taken a wrong turn when your lawmakers would do well to learn a lesson from Brussels.
Our Take 1: We'd wager Europeans will be purchasing... and filling up more with petrol than syn fuels... their internal-combustion vehicles well past 2035. After all, Europeans make some of the best engineered vehicles on the planet. Why would they throw one of the few competitive industries they have overboard?
Our Take 2: Kudos to German automakers for speaking up. Failure to do so would have led to the EU committing one of the great unforced errors of all time.

Heyo! I'm looking for a fellow vigilante or hero (or even villain) to write with today! The basic concept would be the two of us forming a team together, slowly learning more about each other, both about our superpowered and secret identities, and seeing where the story takes us! I had my offer on a house accepted beginning of Dec last year. It was advertised as a freehold but the solicitors search came back as a leasehold. I know there are more checks involved with a leasehold property which I why I didn't want one but I love this house and not seen anything else better so decided to stay with it.
It's been four months now and my solicitors have been useless. I asked them in Jan to confirm how much it would be to buy the freehold, all they've come back with so far is who owns the freehold and the accountants who collect the ground rent. I got all this information in a 10 minute Google search before I asked them. I called the accountants on Friday and they sent me the information I wanted by Monday.
My solicitors also say they are waiting for information from the sellers solicitors and at this point can not say when they would be ready to complete. The EA say that the sellers solicitors are also waiting for information from my solicitors. I can rarely get a hold of my solicitors, I feel like they're ducking my calls now and they take ages to answer emails.
At this point am I better off finding another solicitor or a conveyancer to finish the job? I don't want to waste anymore money on rent.

I've been powering through the grief process with the understanding that one must take matters one day at a time. But on sleepless nights when I remember every silly conversation, unfinished task, sweet affirmation and random warm moments we shared, I'm hit with the strange idea that my universe is not the real one.
I begin to think to myself that somewhere out there are people pranking me. Any minute now my wife will pull up to my current residence, step out of her car and announce it was all a big misunderstanding. It was part of a creative and elaborate birthday gift, a prank man. You know, for laughs.
I fantasize about wilder and wilder scenarios until part of me begins to believe they are real. There's no doubting it anymore, I'm in denial..
Sometimes I think about my stbxw, who she's with, the kind of kids they'll raise, if she'll ever regret her choice, look back fondly on us, Etc. Etc. Etc.
I have to remind myself constantly that where I'm going I can't take any of that with me. I HAVE to forget, and I HAVE to let go or be destroyed.

I met my SP in high school, got distanced and then we reconnected again after 7 years. We sort of “dated” but then things took a turn for the worse (I believe we both weren’t ready and that it was - right person, wrong timing because of our individual circumstances) and about 6 weeks ago he initiated no contact which I broke a couple of times because I was desperate, but 4.5 weeks ago he officially initiated no contact and since then we haven’t been in touch. It’s quite a complicated story and I didn’t get into too much detail.
I have been struggling with that, not gonna lie. Since then, I’ve discovered manifesting; YT channels, this subreddit. In the beginning I did manifest out of a pure state of lack and despair which I’ve got to learn will not bring me back what I want. I discovered this and other subreddits which have helped me grasp the idea of manifestation and which techniques can help me.
My self-concept definitely got better, it’s still not 100%, but I’m getting there slowly. I have been able to identify some negative things about myself and I’m working on changing that. Also, my anxiety and stress decreased, both is still there, but far less.
The things I am still doing wrong are checking his social media (instagram) and seeing if he posted something new/got new followers (we don’t follow each other anymore and his account is private). It was all well until this morning when I saw that he posted 4 new posts and has new followers and that he follows more people. My brain automatically goes to - SP met a new girl. My first reaction were tears and panic and a lot of “what if’s”. I’m terrified that I manifested a 3P for my SP. I sincerely don’t want that.
This has shown me that I’m still probably more in a state of lack than fulfilled.
I have to say that I’m a skeptic and have a hard time believing you can manifest anything. So yesterday, out of curiosity, while I was driving I told myself “Can I manifest seeing a green car?” And a couple of minutes later, I saw 2 or 3 green cars! Then I was like “OK, maybe this was luck, but can I manifest seeing a pink car? Actually no, there isn’t such a thing like a pink car (there is but seeing one seems highly unlikely) maybe purple or any shade of it.” Not long after, I saw a pink car on the parking lot! I then believed that was the universe telling me to not doubt anything.
This did get my belief up a notch, but I’m still terrified that I won’t be able to get my SP back.
I just want you to know that I don’t think an SP makes me more valuable, happier, loved or more fulfilled. I believe I am valuable, happy, loved and fulfilled just the way I am. Why I want this SP is because I felt a connection like never before and he brings out the best in me, that I want to try even harder to be a better person and that I’d like to go through life with SP by my side.
Any advice or help would be appreciated. Sorry for the long read.
