I’ve been accepted into PMI’s ultrasonography program! I was actually supposed to start in Fall 2024, but they unexpectedly called me today to offer me a place in the cohort that starts in July 2023 as there was ONE spot left. My question is related to working during while doing the program. Hear me out! My current job is a work from home position. I work as a medical transcriptionist, how many hours do you think I would be able to work per week while getting through the DMS program? My class schedule is 8-12 Monday through Friday but I would like to have time to practice scanning in the lab after class.

Anything good or exiting happened to anyone recently that they’d like to share?
Personally for me it’s been a good few weeks as I’ve got a new job, finished with my acne medication as of a few days ago and my face is now clear, I’m also halfway through with my Invisalign treatment. All this has positively impacted my life as it made me feel more confident to show my face, especially at work where I do daily team meetings through TEAMS. I’m also meeting with a co worked on almost a daily basis so that they can introduce me and show me what I need to do in more detail, and they’re fun to be around, maybe soon we’ll meet up outside of work for a drink or whatever idk yet.
So yea if you’ve got anything to share then feel free, I’d like this sub to be a more positive and encouraging space to be in and I believe this can help with that. of course everyone is welcome to comment but I’d just like to ask people to keep it chill.

This has been a really hard struggle these past few months trying to figure out whats been going on, and its nice to finally have some sign of answers. After a move and a new and very thorough primary doctor, Lupus was something they pushed for testing and after many various specialist doctor visits including a rheumatologist, here we are! I've started taking hydroxychloroquine and hoping for the best over the next few months!

I guess too I'm really curious to know if anyone else out there has or knows anyone who has any symptoms that seem to affect cognitive function and things that are likely related to nervous system functions. I've been recently struggling with some new pre-syncope and full syncope episodes, full on dropping very frequently these past few weeks, almost for a month now. In general I feel a lot more out of touch with my thinking, like things are a lot harder to parse and understand...
The brain fog and outright confusion itself has been a very prominent issue since last summer just abouts, and it was at its worse with a few other symptoms (heavy fatigue and some joint pains) back when I had a job that had me working outside in the desert sun all day (very fun!). Its still fairly prominent these days though, which has led me to progressively be a lot more forgetful and inattentive than usual, and when I was known with some long time friends for being an incredibly organized individual its been... Hard to accept that's not quite the case anymore. That on top of some out of character I'd say behaviors its been a concern for a while.
I have had a CAT scan that did pick up something that was considered minor after some really bad episodes of fainting that I bit the bullet and went to the ER for, and I do have a neurologist appointment to talk in depth about these symptoms specifically but its not for another month. I really don't know if this specifically is lupus related, it could be some other various health issue, but I was curious on others anecdotal notes about anything similar, at least to not feel so alone in something so complicated.

Another thing is also wanting to ask if anyone has had any actual problems with vision loss on hydroxychloroquine specifically. I've always had bad eyes and have been legally blind for about 8 years now, but I'm still very grateful to have what vision I do have even if it is incredibly poor and have some heavy fears and worries about losing any more of it while trying to treat another condition... :( From what I've read its very uncommon and I have my eye doctor visits annually already because of the severity of my eyes already, so I'm sure if it does have any effect it'll be caught early enough, but that medication side effect does make me worried.

A last thing too is if there's anything anyone's learned from their doctors visits, both primary care and rheumatologist that might be a good idea to keep in mind to mention or inform doctors of in general during appointments? I'm not exactly the best at knowing what to mention at doctors appointments, though I think I've been getting better, so having some general ideas just seems like it may be good practice. At the very least I've gotten my doctors to finally listen to what I'm saying is whats affecting my overall quality of life, and not outright dismissing a lot of symptoms as purely anxiety anymore...! :'D

Oh gosh this was a lot more than I think I meant to type... Thanks for reading, if you did! I'm a little bit of a worry wart as things stand with it all being newly diagnosed, and its not something I really knew much of until fairly recently and its hard to try and understand what that means going forward as far as quality of life goes. :(

Hi everyone,
I am starting a direct hire agency. I have experience in the field but after months of not finding a job, I figured I’d at least try to start an agency so that I can have something to work towards and keep my mind active while applying for more jobs. I worked at an agency that primarily focused on temp work but we did some direct hires as well. I get that I’ll need a client-agency agreement and a candidate-agency agreement but my agency also used background authorization forms and reference check forms as well as the W-2 related forms so I wasn’t sure if those would be necessary for direct hire.
I also wasn’t sure if there are more documents needed from the owners side of things. I just want to make sure I have all the paperwork in order so that when I visit my lawyer, I can ask him questions about them if need be. I’m planning on starting with filling warehouse/supply chain positions as I’m familiar with the industry but if I eventually wanted to explore the medical field, would I need additional documents for that too? I understand medical is a whole different beast but I just want to know if specialty paperwork is needed for industries like medical.
I’ll plan on contacting my state for more info but it’d help knowing all the documents in case once comes up that I have a question about. I appreciate any help. I’ve tried researching online and it seems like there’s a lot of gatekeeping so if it’d be better to DM me then I’m fine with that as well.
Edit: I understand it’s the worst possible time to start an agency but again, it will keep my mind busy and will at least give me some purpose and prevent me from going crazy with the constant rejection I’ve had to deal with. I want to feel human again and feel like I’m contributing to society vs just sitting at home organizing my garage for the 50th time lol.

James Marape says the National Gold Refinery & Mint Project Agreement signed today is a landmark agreement for the country and a major achievement in the implementation of his Government’s ‘Take Back PNG’ policy. PM Marape addressing the media after today’s signing at Government House. He is flanked by Refinery Holdings Managing-Director James Scobie, Chairman Michael Boyd and Mining Minister Hon. Johnson Tuke. “The project starts today and will establish, for the first time in Papua New Guinea, a downstream processing and value-adding industry for gold, one of the country’s mostvaluable natural resource exports,” he said. “The project will put Papua Guinea on the world gold map, so it is rightfully recognised in both gold mining and gold refining industries, and in global precious metals and financial markets, as one of the world’s most-important gold-producing countries.” Treasury Secretary Dairi Vele signs for the State with Refinery Holdings Managing-Director James Scobie and Chairman Michael Boyd at Government House. PM Marape said downstream processing of natural resources in PNG, including gold, forestry and fisheries, is the key to our economic future and employment opportunities for citizens and is a key policy of his government. “This has been talked about for decades, but it is my leadership peers in present Government who are now pushing for this major in-country downstream processing project,” he said. “It is the first of many to come. “Until now, all the economic and social benefits from refining and value-adding to Papua New Guinea’s gold, have been exported to foreign refineries and for the benefit of foreign countries. “The project will ensure that we account for all gold produced in PNG and export out finished products for companies and individuals who are in the gold industry.” PM Marape said for the first time all the profits, taxes, new US dollar foreign exchange inflows, employment and related benefits from the refining of gold and precious metals will stay in PNG. PM Marape and Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae toast to the occasion at Government House today. “For the first time, PNG will be recognised on the world stage, including by international refined gold regulatory bodies, such as the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA),”he said. “PNG will become known and recognised as a producer of international standard: • gold and precious metal investment bullion bars, • gold and precious metal legal tender investment coins; and • other refined gold products. PM Marape said the project will establish four new world-class businesses in the State: • National Gold Refinery – which will refine all of PNG’s gold and precious metals and produce international standard gold and silver bullion bars; • National Mint – to mint our own currency and the new National Bird of Paradise legal tender and investment grade gold and precious metal currency coins; • National Gold Bank – to provide dedicated gold and precious metal banking and trading services to the PNG gold mining industry; and • National Gold – to market PNG gold and precious metals, and our value-added bullion bars, investment coins and other products global investors. “This is a high-end value-adding business and for a gold producing nation, we want to move into this space,” PM Marape said. “No one has dared to dream this dream, but as a Government fighting to earn more from our resources, this low-hanging economic opportunity is now harnessed .” PM Marape said the State is an equal 50:50 joint venture equity partner in the project from commencement where 30 per cent of State Interest will be passed to our local alluvial miners and landowner companies. “The State also has the right to buy majority or total control of the project at a time into the future as defined in the project agreement with Refinery Holdings who are partners in this project,” he said. “Refinery Holdings will be the project manager, operator and financier of the project until the State decides to buy control.” PM Marape said the National Gold Corporation will pay full corporate taxes (currently 30 per cent) on its profits from commencement. “Refinery Holdings will pay full dividend withholding tax on its dividends received from National Gold Corporation, “ he said. “The project will generate substantial new dividends and corporate taxes paid to the State – currently projected at approximately US$800 million over the first 15 years of operation.” PM Marape said there would be many jobs and opportunities created by the project. “Up to 200 new jobs will be created during the construction phase of the refining and minting facilities on land leased within the LNG and Petroleum Park, and at Jackson International Airport,” he said. “There will be up 350 new tertiary level jobs in the operational phase and there will be significant training and skills transfer to local employees for decades to come. “And there will be the creation of many local ancillary industries, including gold tourism facilities, and long-term supply requirements from local contractors and suppliers.” PM Marape said small-scale, local alluvial gold miners (i.e., landowners) will benefit from the new world-class dedicated gold refinery in PNG. “Landowners can expect to receive better pricing for their gold from the National Gold Refinery and will avoid having to deal with ‘industry middlemen’ or having to accept the discounted gold price offered by middlemen for their gold,” he said. PM Marape said PNG miners and the economy will benefit from new and substantial foreign currency inflows. “The project and its gold products are priced in US Dollars,” he said. “The National Gold Refinery will have an estimated initial US$4 billion per annum gold throughput, and more as gold production increases, every year for many decades to come. “The PNG gold mining industry will benefit from having a world-class, professionallymanaged, gold and precious metals refinery in-country and dedicated to servicing all their refining and gold trading requirements. “A local world-class gold refinery means that the time gap between gold production and sale is significantly reduced as unrefined gold does not need to be shipped from PNG to foreign refineries. “This may mean some PNG mining opportunities will now become economic, and it may increase the profitability of existing mines through a reduction in processing cost. “The project also includes arrangements by which current and future PNG gold miners will transition from foreign gold smelting and refining arrangements to refining of all PNG gold and precious metals through the National Gold Refinery. “The State will provide a statutory guarantee of the gold delivery and related obligations of the National Gold Corporation Group to assure PNG gold miners and international banks, investors and gold industry counterparties that their gold and dealings with the Group are safe and secure at all times. “The National Gold Refinery will, by law, provide globally-competitive refining costs, outcomes and benefits for PNG gold miners now and into the future.” “The project, and the significant long-term foreign investment in the project by the private sector, demonstrates regionally, and internationally, that my Government’s foreign investment policy is effective and that PNG is a mature, stable, and safe investment destination for exploration, mining, and production of gold, and refined gold.” “I look forward to work with the investors, our local SME and alluvial gold miners and landowners, as well as those in the big mines to ensure that this refinery and mint is beneficial to all parties in the mining and gold business.”

2023.06.09 07:52 throwawaysishtwin My mental health team is talking down my life plans.

I'm not totally sure what to make of it, but my team has me constantly doubting myself and feeling pretty bad about myself.
3 months ago, I decided to go back to college. I start my classes this week. I left because of a severe mental health crisis 3 years ago. After almost 3 years of constant work on myself, I felt ready to try it again.
My psychiatrist and therapist said that they were on board. I also have/had to find a new job (the place went broke- I don't recommend trying to work at a startup). My psychiatrist wished me luck, and my therapist wrote a letter of support to my school. My therapist cautioned that I should start slow.
Things got really fucking awful as the situation panned out. I've been having a lot of trouble finding even a minimum-wage job. It's off-season (we're in a tourist destination that's also a desert- so business is only locals until about October), and most retail/etc want you to have 24/7 availability, when they have like 6-10 hours a week available for the position. Most places (about 70%) haven't even opened my resume, regardless of what kind of job it is. I've interviewed about 6 times, and each one said that they would let me know in a month+ (and that they had 20-60 candidates to consider). As far as school goes, I was going to just take math, but the school suggested I take intro to psych as a prerequisite to my plan to do full-time in the fall, so I'm signed up for 2 classes (the only thing I'm happy about in this situation).
When my psych asked about my job search, I said 2-3 sentences pretty similar to what I said above. His attitude did a 180. He said I was an unbearable, difficult, egocentric person, who felt entitled despite having no life skills. I admit that I've been through way, way too many jobs in the last 2 years, but we didn't find a med combo to battle the bipolar and ADHD that entire time. I didn't know what normal felt like until about last October. I was banking on this job lasting, but they went bankrupt. He said that it's my fault I was laid off, that I was unequipped to handle more than 20 hours a week of retail (which I've done before; my most recent job was $7/hour more pay than that, in an office and full-time). He suggested I "learn humility" by "working at Mc.Donald's as a cashier" for a year or more, before he would endorse me trying to better myself. Our appointments are normally 15-20 minutes, but he spent 1 hour 17 talking to me like this. He ended with demanding to speak to my therapist, because, "either you're impossible to work with, or your therapist is terrible at his job."
When I told my therapist about this, his attitude changed, too. He said he had been going too easy on me, and that he agreed with almost everything the doctor said. He started ragging on me for my life not being organized atm (unemployed, few friends, trouble with chores, etc etc). He said that anyone who agrees that I'm ready for school doesn't really support me, because anyone who did would tell me that it was a horrible idea. He said I should leave university and go to community College, taking less than half the credits I want to, and working maybe 10-20 hours a week at most. He said I was disordered, dysfunctional, have a victim complex, and I'm in a "24/7 crisis."
I told him at the next session that I was hugely discouraged and distressed by how they've been talking to me, and he doubled down. He said that he thinks I'm not even ready for a class, that I should take the easiest thing available or get a certificate for 1 class online. He said that I was permanently disabled by my mental health crisis in 2020, and that I needed to lower my expectations to be less than normal functioning/half of what I was doing before. I asked him why I would be unable to do what I did at 18, when I'm 6 years older, more focused, more serious, more thoughtful, calmer, and have been to therapy for years. He said that he didn't ever expect me to function. He said it's not if I fail, it's when I fail. He also asked, "So, will you tell Dr.X that I agree with him, or are you going to hide it from him?" (Then charged my credit card, because he's not on my insurance. LOL.)
Anyone close to me that I've told this stuff has been shocked. I really don't know what to do. Every interview has me depressed, and they seem to be going worse since that 1st appointment last month. It's hard to not seem desperate, and I guess there is something wrong with me if they all ghost me after saying they'll "let [me] know." I'm depressed, I have a hard time being intimate with my partner, I feel discouraged and unconfident, and I feel alone. Mostly, I'm embarrassed. My therapist said that me feeling "betrayed" is a sign of how disordered I am. Idk, though, I wouldn't talk to anyone like that, much less my client. They also told me that they "get it" and "relate to [my] failure." The therapist is a recovered bipolar man with a family and a master's. The psychiatrist gave the example of, "I got rejected from 10 medical schools. Fortunately, I was accepted into Harvard..."
I don't know what to do. I don't think the psychiatrist is a good fit (I met him in February). But my therapist? We've been working together for a year and a half. I thought he saw me making progress. I guess he thinks that I really am difficult and horrible, and said that he didn't work with me with the expectation that I'd ever function the way I want to. That I'm disabled, unstable, fragile, and incapable. A couple of people in my life are doubting me. "But what if they're right?"
The kicker is that my therapist met me at my lowest point. Failed meds (to the point of not recognizing myself and feeling cognitively impaired), failed jobs, no friends, and living with an abusive narcissist who was trying to destroy my relationship. I thought he'd be proud of where I am. I don't know what to do with the fact that he doesn't think I've improved at all, or that I'm likely to ever achieve what I want to. Meanwhile, I was on the honor roll from grade 8 up until my sophomore year of college. He said school and a small amount of work is "grandiose."
I see him tomorrow. I think about these appointments non-stop. I feel like I might not even know myself, or that I might be a delusional or shitty person. I feel sick all the time. I don't want to tell him any of my problems, and why would I? The last appointment, he used all of my struggles as ammo to back up his thoughts on me. And yet, I really struggle with mental health professionals. I don't want to open up my entire life to strangers again. And what if they turn out to be judging me like that, too? I have a lot of relationship trauma and trust issues, so trying to improve my life with my mental health team (which I thought of as my rock) treating me this way is kind of my nightmare. I feel really sick, and it's hard not to fall back on patterns of perfectionism and self-loathing. And I'm beating myself up too much. Oh, and I'm struggling with intimacy, so I feel inadequate for even my best friend/partner, and guilty about that.
Idk what to do. I don't know if I can tolerate this. It gets worse when I try to set boundaries or express my feelings. And I don't want to have to fake or hide things in therapy. I'm also a little terrified of the psychiatrist. He's violated my treatment goals before, and he recently suggested cutting my ADHD meds in half (I know that they don't work at all at that dose), and upping my sedatives, even though I told him that oversleeping is an issue. (he said the reason I slept 12-16 hours a day was just because I was lazy, despite me setting like 7 alarms. I literally can't open my eyes, and I've fallen asleep drinking coffee before). Also, when I was over-sedated, I was having trouble thinking, focusing, driving, staying awake at work, and had partial amnesia. I'm terrified that he'll go through with those ideas and sabotage my functioning when it's most crucial (my schooling is contingent on a good grade in my summer classes). Maybe I'm paranoid.
TL;DR: Psychiatrist and therapist seem to have changed their minds about me being capable of school (basically my dream since I was a kid). They think I'm insufferable, broken, and incapable, despite me feeling like I've improved a lot. I'm feeling doubtful, depressed, and so anxious that I feel sick. I don't feel safe opening up to them. I don't want to keep going to appointments, and I don't trust that doctor with my health and sanity. Idk

background info: I am a 26 y/o trans man who lives with my (very right-wing, conservative, religious and abusive) family. Due to medical reasons, I can’t work or drive, and my folks have ultimate control over all money I do receive from my father (who is overseas) and access to all of my medical records. I can’t go anywhere alone without them insisting on supervising me. I have been working to get disability but so far have not had great success.
My future fiancé (32 y/o cis man) lives in another state with his mom, working a part time job along with also getting disability. He has and makes more than enough money to move out comfortably and I have told him expressly that I am fine with this, but insists upon withholding it so that he can more easily afford a yearly visit or two (again, of his own choosing for his personal needs) until he can safely get me out of here and we can live together. It is also important to mention that he’s straight, and although I realized my true self after being with him, he is too good to lose, so we compromised that I would not pursue any transitions, but would come out as genderfluid, so that I could have some days where I could openly identify and/or dress in ways that made me comfortable and then others where I would present as the sex I was assigned at birth. I had told him I understood if he wanted to break up instead, but he refused to do so.
Here is the issue. The plan decided by him was tell them late this year about us, move the number of visits next year to 2, propose in 2025, and be married by 2026.
A few days ago, he said he felt guilty asking so much of me (the gender and family matters), and asked “is there anything I can do?” I asked him if we could move the default proposal date to 2026 (I would still be fine with 2025 if things went well), but it would be nice to have that security if I felt unsafe.He got really dismissive about it and told me to think about what that means for him. I reminded him I don’t expect any of that and would support him if he wanted not to do any of those things. In the end he enforced that the long distance was hard on him and again dismissed it saying that this was unfair. Last night, he told me he wasn’t actually asking the question, he just was “being hard on himself” and seeking reassurance. He said that in his opinion, his sacrifices (almost all things except the gender issue being ones he knew before we ever got into a relationship and weighed and agreed on himself as being worth it, I might add) were equal to mine.
I told him I understood but it was wrong to ask something he didn’t mean and that I can’t read his mind. I explained to him that I just wanted to feel like I had a say in things, and that we should alternate control over each step of our plans.
He ended up giving in begrudgingly, but I still feel like shit for ever having asked in the first place and that I gave the wrong answer. So…AITBF? I had to leave a lot out for length.

Studied Child and Adolescent Development. I worked at a preschool while finishing my associates, realized I hated working with a class full of kids. But, I kept going because I had goofed around for too long already and wanted to just finish my degree. Stupid choice because I got my bachelors now and quit a job because I am simply not fit to work with children. I try but I’m way too introverted and reserved to handle tantrums and simply all the noise with a room full of children.
So now I’m studying to be a medical assistant so that I could work in that field as I save up my money for graduate school, to study who knows what.
I can’t get over the shame that I’m not putting my degree to use and just wasted my time. Even more mad that I knew I didn’t want to work with this degree but continued anyways because I felt that I needed to.

2023.06.09 07:33 wroa [CA] I work in tech and someone from leadership has been badmouthing me behind my back to her suordinates

I work in tech and I was briefly involved in a project.
For full context, I’m part of a team that is central to the company. Many teams request help from our team to help different problems. I got tasked to help, and so I did.
While working on the project, I got very excited with a few ideas and I was able to generate quite a few of them in a short amount of time.
Come presentation day and I completely knock it out of the park. The director involved in that project was somewhat taken aback but was positive to the ideas. The rest of her subordinates were providing me accolades for my work. I really felt validated.
The next day, I reached out to the director so that I could show her some things I was working on the side. I thought I could trust her, and so I walked her through my proposal. She provided some feedback but generally thought the proposal was good. I felt good thinking she was supportive of this work that could potentially influence the other project I was originally tasked on.
The following day, I end up briefing some of her subordinates on a few areas of focus we could all work on so we could divide and conquer. I thought I had room to lead the project as most of the ideas we landed on were mine. And so I did. After the end of the day, I end up hearing that myself alongside a few other fellow coworkers who were part of the same team i’m from were told we were no longer needed. I was surprised.
The next day one of my coworkers contacted me and mentioned that she had heard from someone that the director told them my work was “traumatizing”. This felt extremely weird since I heard constant praise and adoration from the work I had pitched. I was confused… Did she feel threatened that I was taking over her project too much? Did she feel like her subordinates weren’t pulling their weight so she decides to cut me off so her team doesn’t look bad? Was she threatened by the proposal thinking it might affect her ability to perform? No one knows… but what I do know is that she was badmouthing me publicly to her subordinates and I think this is extremely unprofessional.
One of her subordinates actually messaged me privately stating that the work I did was incredibly inspiring and that she said it was a shame the project was a mess. At least that made me feel half good that it wasn’t just me who thought the work was good! It also made me happy to know there’s kind people like her who have so much empathy.
Which is why I come here for advice. I don’t think it’s right for people to talk behind people’s backs, much less in a professional setting. Whatever she’s doing to ruin my reputation doesn’t sit well with me. Does she feel threatened that I would take her job? I don’t know.
Is there anything I can do so I can push for any disciplinary action? Is there away for me to go to her manager and state my case to her so she’s aware of the issue and could lead to any disciplinary action?

Hello everyone. Pretty sure this is my first time posting here. I just didn't know where else to turn.
I'm in a very precarious situation, and have been for a while. I'll go over the simple facts. In November of 2022, I suffered a major car accident; I was doing DoorDash at the time, and was doing that practically full time saving up for an apartment. I've recovered, thankfully, but my car was totaled; I've yet to save enough money to get a new one. I was lucky enough to be able to snag an apartment with a few roommates.
In one month I start a new WFH job, an accident management situation where I choose my own hours, which is great. Problem is, I still have loads of bills coming up and I'm already struggling. Here's what I have so far:
- Rent: $415 - Phone bill: $90 (reducing that soon) - Medical bills: $73 (biweekly) Food I've managed to shave down to $35 every two weeks, which is nice.
My other job where I'm getting income has completely been removed as an option. They've cut my hours down (I'm literally working five hours this week) in what I can only assume is an attempt to get me to quit. I've been getting by off of plasma donations and temp jobs which are few and far between due to the high demand in my area. Pawning items aren't an option either, as I've explored those options and only get about $40 at most for what I can pawn.
I'm simply at a loss. I'm not sure exactly what to do. (I'll reply to comments who need to know anything else if they can offer me advice or anything like that.)

i'm failing almost all of my classes and there's only 2 that i ACTUALLY don't understand; the two classes being
•Chemistry, taught by a teacher that openly mocks "no child left behind" doctrine
•AP music theory, with only 1 mf passing in my class
the most infuriating part is that my test scores are actually consistently pretty good. i have a 45% in AP European history but my test scores average at about 80-90%. this is pretty much the same story for the vast majority of my classes.
every time i talk about my issues doing the work to anyone with even a single iota of authority i get the same completely useless response, "you just gotta do it." anyone who unironically utters this phrase has never had to live with a chronically fucked up brain.
i wake up at 5:00, and i get home at 3:00. it's not an impressive amount of time in the context of something that provides tangible results, but after devoting 10 hours of my day to filling out meaningless pieces of paper for the sake of bringing an arbitrary number up by a fraction of a percent, doing more of the same is like shoving handfuls of food down my throat after a 3-course meal. my brain simply does not give me the motivation to do this, regardless of how easy it is.
i thought medication would solve the problem but the only thing it did was make it even easier to understand my classes, making it even more infuriating that my grades can't reflect that. like seriously, i'm sitting here having to deal with the side effects of medications that are doing their job perfectly, and i can't just fucking pass like EVERYONE else?
my life would be so much easier if my grades just depended on tests. i shouldn't have to repeat classes that i perfectly understand because of this garbage. i'm tired of being seen as a lazy ingrate for it by people who can seemingly pull motivation directly out of their asses. it just feels rigged.

Just wanna vent out my frustration regarding government application process.
Marami na akong nabasa dito about sa pag-aapply for government position and took those tips and advices. Alam ko na naman na kung wala kang backer, less chances of getting hired even none. But you know I still gave it a shot. Anyway, I applied for MedTech sa government hospital and provincial health office. Yes, i applied for 2 positions kasi nga based sa qualification reqs, qualified naman ako so go lang. Submitted my application last March. Received a text message inviting me for a written exam on May 31. Few days after, received another message inviting me for an interview. Of course I was very happy kasi akala ko talaga binasura na yung application ko. So here comes the interview day, schedule from text message was 9am. Pagdating ko, marami na ring ibang applicants na different positions rin. The interview started at around 10:30am na. Nakakadisappoint kasi wala man lang nagsabi na can you wait for another hour kasi we’re still preparing. But if you think about it, they messaged the applicant for the interview 3 days ahead. So dapat at least nakapagprepare na sila. Nakakainis lang na yung applicants grabe yung effort for the interview tapos yung interviewer ganun na lang. It didn’t end there. So the interview started. Since panel interview, edi di ba by batch, they did not set a specific duration per interview. Dapat planned yun lahat para ma accomodate lahat ng applicants. I came to the venue before 9 am. Got called at around 4pm na. And it got worse when our interview started. So after introduction of the panel, bigla ba naman sinabi nung head ng panel na wag namin habaan yung mga sagot namin kasi nga raw hapon na which means uwian na and maghahanda pa sila ng dinner pag uwi nila. What???? During the interview, they weren’t even listening to us. 3 of the interviewers went to the head’s table and they were talking and laughing while the interview was going on. While I was also talking, yung may additional ka pang sasabihin pero the head of the panel cut me off and called the next applicant who was sitting next to me. I only managed to say “I”. Then there was this one applicant with promising experience so they stopped questioning the rest of us and focused on that applicant. So we were like having a lecture there, listening to one person. But yun nga hindi naman magets nung panel pinagsasabi nung applicant kasi she was explaining about her job description sa previous work niya with medical terms and the head of the panel cut her off and said na wait lang kasi nanonosebleed na siya.
Ganyan ba talaga yung interview sa government? Wala man lang isa sa panel of interviewers na from that field. They were very unprofessional. Lastly, the head of the panel asked me why i left my previous job so I answered something about wanting to reflect and focus on my future plans. Then she answered me na after the interview, I’m gonna have to reflect again and they laughed. I was so pissed. Went out of the venue at exactly 5pm. There were still applicants waiting outside to be called.
I’m sure as hell na I’m not getting the position kasi super obvious na nila dun sa isa na manok nila.
