I'm a second (technically third) year Psychology Co-op student looking for a work-term job for this summer and the experience has not been anything close to what I expected. Like a lot of people, I came to UTSC for the co-op program because it promised an opportunity to gain exclusive paid experience relevant to my field of study. Except. The jobs on csm are shit, more relevant to business than sciences, and most of them are also posted on external job boards as regular summer jobs that you can apply to without being in a co-op program. The co-op office's promotional material shows students that have worked for top hospitals, but the instructors of the mandatory not-for-credit courses actively encourage students not to apply to these competitive jobs as there's very little chance of actually getting hired. Also keep in mind that you have to do these not-for-credit courses most semesters, including the semesters that you're on work term, and even though you can't get a credit for them, it is possible to fail.
At this point, I've rearranged my degree plan and paid the extra fees to be able to be in the co-op program, so unless I don't get a job this summer, I won't be dropping out. But hindsight is 20/20 and if I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now, I never would have chosen to do co-op at this godforsaken campus. Do a normal degree, volunteer in a lab, get a regular summer job without the additional fees and pointless courses, and you'll be just as well off as a co-op student experience-wise.

WITHOUT STRATEGY, WE ARE SUBDUED. WHAT WE ALL NEED IS A LITTLE STRATEGY. THE HOUSE MADE OF STRAW. ECONOMICALLY, WHAT'S AN ANALOGY FOR THIS, RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, I CAN MUSTER? THE HOUSE OF STRAW IS DEPENDING ON SLAVE WAGES OR SALARY FOR FINANCIAL SECURITY AND ECONOMIC BLISS. SLAVE WAGES JUST MEANS ANY INCOME DERIVED FROM ECONOMICAL SLAVERY. WE ARE FORCED TO FIND WAGES OR SALARY SOMEWHERE, FOR WE AIM TO LIVE UNDER A ROOF, SOMEWHERE. IN THIS REGARD WE ARE FORCED TO ECONOMICALLY PAY FOR EVERYTHING WE USE. ONE DAY WE GOT CHARGED FOR AIR AND THEN ONLY THE "HAD IT'S" HAD IT. IT WAS A CRYING SHAME. OUT LOUD. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SLAVE WAGES OR SALARY OF THE HIGH PRICED SLAVE. WE CAN BREAK IT DOWN HERE, WE CAN BREAK IT DOWN IN THE NEXT PART OF THIS PART, OR WE CAN BOTH. YOU GO TO COLLEGE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. CHRONOLOGICALLY SPEAKING. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, AT ANY TIME YOU CAN ATTEND COLLEGE. YOU ATTEND COLLEGE. FOR WHAT INDUSTRY? WHAT SPECIALTY? FOR WHAT REASON? IF STUDYING ACCOUNTING, WHY? TO GET A JOB AS AN ACCOUNTANT? IF SO, THEN FOR HOW LONG? NO MATTER WHAT PROFESSION THE COLLEGE DEGREE IS IN, NO MATTER WHAT PROFESSION YOU ARE IN, WITHOUT CREATING SUCCESSFUL AND PROFITABLE BUSINESSES AND OR INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS, THE BIG BAD WOLF CAN STILL GET YOU. BASED ONLY ON CERTAIN FACTORS. CERTAIN FACTORS IN LIFE CAN BRING THE BIG AND BAD WOLF SYSTEM CLOSER THAN CLOSE. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY STRAW HOUSES RAVAGED BY ECONOMIC LIONS. STRAW HOUSES AREN'T THE SAFEST WAY. WE DO NOT WANT TO BE TOO VIVID. NOT HERE AND NOT NOW. THIS IS NOT THE TIME OR THE PLACE, TO GO INTO SUCH DETAIL. THE WOLVES ARE OUT. THE LIONS ARE IN. THE STRAW HOUSE LOOKED TERRIBLE AFTERWARDS. IT WAS JUST STRAW. HERE'S WHY. THE SILVER LINING. THE MONEY IN WHICH YOU EARN FROM WAGES OR SALARY, IS A JOKE. THE PUNCHLINE IS, INVESTING PORTFOLIOS AND SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSES ARE THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP UP WITH INFLATION. THE DOLLARS ARE INFLATED. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE PURCHASING POWER INTO YOUR DOLLAR YOURSELF. IF THE DOLLAR IS WORTH TEN CENTS, YOU BETTER HAVE AN ECONOMIC EARNING POWER OF TIMES TEN. WE'RE SAYING NOTHING MORE THAN THAT PEOPLE. THE DOLLAR YOU WORSHIP ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING. IT IS ALL A JOKE. A TERRIBLE LIE. A TERRIBLE LIE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. THE STUDY OF MONEY WILL TURN INTO A COMEDY SHOW, EITHER WAY. EITHER YOU DO NOT STUDY MONEY THEN THE JOKE MAY BE ON YOU. IF YOU DO STUDY MONEY, YOU MAY LAUGH AT WHAT YOU FIGURE OUT. THE OBSERVATIONS YOU MAKE INSIDE OF THESE STUDY SESSIONS MIGHT AROUSE YOUR INTELLECT. ECONOMIC EARNING POWER WILL KEEP AWAY THE BIG AND BAD WOLF SYSTEM. We've finally made it... at last, we're on the Last Story. All 3 hedgehogs have had their stories lead up to this. How will it all end? Well, we're about to find out! Let us begin:
Somewhere in Soleanna's forest, Mephiles manages to get his hands on the purple Chaos Emerald, one which we haven't seen throughout this game. He finds Elise and Sonic walking through the field, and using the blinding power of the gem, comes up from behind the two when they least expect it, and (yes, I'm using language here, NO SHAME)... FUCKING KILLS SONIC by launching a beam of energy straight through his chest. Distraught by this, Elise manages to cry, unsealing Iblis after all these years. With the two halves of Solaris now freed, Mephiles calls on the Chaos Emerald he has to unite them together.
Meanwhile, in Dusty Desert, Team Dark is surrounded by a puddle of dark liquid from the army of Mephiles clones they took down at the end of Shadow's story. As he picks up and puts his Inhibitor Rings back on, the green and yellow Chaos Emeralds that were resting on the ground begin to glow, and the screen cuts to black. The next cutscene dramatically plays out, with Mephiles having all 7 Chaos Emeralds surrounding him (which I have NO clue where he got the blue and red ones from), and the two halves of Solaris finally coming together. A bright flash of light engulfs the entirety of Soleanna, where Amy, Tails, and Knuckles currently are.
Now in an endless void, all of the characters are found to be together, even Silver and Dr. Eggman have somehow appeared. Trying to figure out what was going on, Shadow and the others piece together the clues that Solaris has finally been reborn, but how is that possible? They then turn to see the dead body of Sonic resting against Princess Elise, realizing that this was all part of Mephiles' plan so she'd cry, and that EVERYONE, including Dr. Eggman, were played like cards in his hand.
As Amy mourns over the loss of the beloved blue hero, the princess senses Sonic's spirit in the wind, knowing that he's not dead yet, and that there's still time. Silver then comes up with the idea that he can be revived using the Chaos Emeralds' power, believing in the princess that she can bring him back. Dr. Eggman then analyzes where the fabled gems have gone, noting that Solaris scattered them all across time, and that the crew has to split up. Firm on their resolution, the group splits up, each setting out across the void to find them before it's too late.
And now it's time for... the End of the World. This final stage brings all 7 remaining characters - Tails, Omega, Knuckles, Silver, Rouge, Amy, and Shadow - on their quest to find the Chaos Emeralds before reality is destroyed by Solaris. This massive adventure split up into 7 sections, the first being with Tails in Crisis City as he searches for the yellow Emerald. His section plays out similar to Silver's level, with one major difference that can be considered the "gimmick" of this level.
Across all 7 portions of the stage, you'll come across these holes - called the "Eyes of Solaris" - that try to suck you in or toss objects at you. I really do like this idea as I think it's like Solaris' way of stopping you as you make your way towards each of the Chaos Emeralds, and one hit INSTANTLY kills you, even if you have Rings. You can briefly make them go away by touching a statue that lights up an orb, but it isn't long before they come back again. What I DON'T like, though? Well, that's coming up in a bit.
After Tails gets the yellow Emerald, the perspective switches to Omega, who's located in Flame Core as he's searching for the green Emerald. Again, it's mostly the same as before, and I believe you're in... I wanna say it's probably Shadow's part of the stage, but really, I have no idea since I feel like all the characters can share the same damn level at times like with White Acropolis, so I don't know which part you're exactly playing through. Anyways, Omega's hover ability will really come in handy here, as you can use it to skip most enemies (which is DEFINITELY recommended since time is literally of the essence here to save Sonic). Make your way up the lava-fall and grab the green Chaos Emerald and get the heck outta there!
The 3rd part of the stage takes place in Rouge's and Silver's Tropical Jungle level, only this time you're controlling Knuckles. Once again, you'll want to take the same approach as you did in Tails' and Omega's sections and not worry about combat and instead trying to find the cyan Emerald that's hidden somewhere here. Use the gliding ability that Knuckles has to land on certain platforms and you can skip basically the entire section. You may have to do some climbing on walls to glide to where the Emerald is, but other than that, his section should be a breeze. Grab that gem and GO!
I should also mention that the Eyes you come across can also suck in enemies and nearby objects, which can be incredibly helpful and harmful at the same time when you're trying to make it through the stage as quickly as possible. I do like how not even Iblis' monsters themselves are not safe from the wrath of Solaris, so it's like EVERYTHING is trying to stop you from making it to the end. But they won't stop the hope to revive Sonic!
Keeping on with the stage, the 4th section has Silver navigating through Sonic's portion of Dusty Desert, using his psychokinesis and hover abilities to make his way through the treacherous landscape and find the silver Chaos Emerald. And... well, I'm just gonna say this: I didn't like this section at all. Not one bit. Why is that, you may ask? Well, it's surprisingly simple, and it's a reason that'll come up again with another character not that far down the line:
SILVER IS SO FUCKING SLOW
I swear to God, he moves at the speed of freakin' molasses, and that's not exactly helpful when you're trying to dodge those Eyes that try to suck you in and KILL YOU IN ONE HIT. It's even worse when objects come flying out of nowhere, hit and knock you back and into the things you can't even see and give you no chance of escape! There are quite a few points where I was literally saying to my TV, "COME ON, MOVE IT, SILVER!!!" because he's just moving along at a strolling pace when he should be, I don't know... running to get the gem? Ugh.
Thank God he has the Teleport Dash upgrade you can buy for him in his story, as it'll be quite helpful when trying to escape the pull of Solaris. I believe this is the only time in the game I actually found that ability to be useful for him, because I barely remember using it AT ALL in his main story other than trying it out at various places in Soleanna's hub areas. But, anyways, you get through his section like all the ones before him and the ones after him: make it to the end and avoid any enemies that come in your way, using the orb thingies to temporarily cause the Eyes of DEATH to go away. Get the silver Emerald and meet up with the others!
The 5th section sends you to Tails' portion of Wave Ocean as you glide across the waterways with Rouge in search of the purple Emerald. You can use the same strategy here that you did with Knuckles since you don't need to worry about combat and should climb the pillars, jump off, and glide on through, only really landing to activate the orbs. Compared to Silver's section, this part is actually quite a breeze, so make your way to the gem like the good treasure hunter Rouge is and now there's only 2 more left to get!
Things are getting rather chilly, as now we're in White Acropolis for the 6th portion of the stage with Amy making her way towards the blue Emerald. She's finding herself on the lower route of Rouge's and Tails' segment, and she has to use her hammer and double jumping prowess to get by. 6th verse is somehow same as the 1st, so try to get by all the enemies doing as little combat as necessary and focus on using the orbs and making your way towards the Emerald. However, there's one major problem I have with this section that also happens with Silver, and it's that just like her partner, Amy is SO UNBELIVABLY SLOW. I don't know why this is, but this really bothers me especially when I'm trying to get away from the Death Eyes which still instantly kill you. The good news is that this section is relatively short-lived, so the pain doesn't last for very long. Get that blue diamond and now it's all up to the Ultimate Lifeform!
The 7th and final section of the stage revolves around Shadow as he makes his way through the ruins of Kingdom Valley to find the red Chaos Emerald, the last of them to be found. Much like Flame Core's segment, I have no idea which character's part of the stage you're going through, because I'm mainly trying to make it to the end of the stage. Just like before, make it to the end of the stage doing as little combat as possible and use the orbs to take out the Eyes of Solaris, ride the eagle, and complete the stage as you grab the final Chaos Emerald! And... that's a wrap on the End of the World!
Wow... what a stage. I will say this about it: Even though there were a few problems I had with this stage, which included the slowness of Silver and Amy, sometimes the wonkiness of the camera causing you to get hit by things you can't even see, and getting a Game Over on ANY section - yes, even the last Shadow section, which DID happen to me - causes you to do the ENTIRE thing again starting back at Tails' Crisis City segment. But those issues didn't stop me from enjoying the stage as a whole, as I did enjoy the gimmick of traversing through nearly every stage of the game (except for Aquatic Base and Radical Train) only with Solaris hot on your trail. This is one of those levels that would indeed work had this game been given more time in the oven, because this was quite the fun trek!
With the cast reunited and all 7 Chaos Emeralds gathered, Princess Elise says a prayer, wanting to talk to Sonic and save the world once again. She then kisses Sonic (why?...), and that, with the power of the gems, revives the blue hero and transforms him into Super Sonic. He thanks Elise as he falls to her knees, and then Shadow and Silver join in and transform themselves. With the 3 super-powered hedgehogs transformed, they blast off into the sky, everybody cheering them on from below.
And here it comes... the final battle. The battle is split into 2 phases and every character is used in their own way. You start with Super Silver and use the meteors that Solaris throws at you and damage his left arm. It may not do much damage, but keep it up and it will eventually shatter. From there, switch to Super Shadow and use the Chaos abilities he has and damage the right arm in the same way. Just remember to keep moving! Once that's done, switch to Super Sonic and keep boosting into the core and Phase 1 is complete!
However... it's not over yet. The god comes back up and goes absolutely out of control as an orchestrated version of "His World" plays in the background. You need to constantly switch between all 3 hedgehogs and deal damage to his core, but it's best if you attack it while it's firing a laser at you since it exposes the weak point. Silver may unfortunately not be of much use here, so you'll want to rely on Sonic and Shadow. However, keep it up and he goes down, ENDING SOLARIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!
As the 3 hedgehogs land back in front of the other heroes, time and space is restored and we eventually see the Duke and young Elise come across the true form of Solaris. He explains that once it grows, they can eventually get control of time and that Elise can eventually see her mother again. As they walk away, the current form of the Princess and Sonic walk up to the flame and take it into their hands. She says that if they were to blow it out, the Flames of Disaster incident would have never happened and that everything would continue on, but that she would have never met Sonic. She tears up slightly saying that the truth is that she doesn't care what happens to the world, but Sonic tells her to just smile and that it'll all be okay.
With that, she does so and blows out the flame, sending everything back to the Soleanna Festival that was seen at the start of the game. Sonic can be seen running by at one point, wanting to get a view. As he speeds by, he creates a wind which Elise calls somehow familiar to her. One of the feathers from her hair floats up into the air and passes in front of the moon, which Sonic is viewing from a rooftop, and the screen fades to black, ending Sonic '06.
And that's the game. Hard to believe it all ends with it acting like it never existed in the first place, but it all ends where it all began. I don't have anything else to say other than this game surprised me more than I initially thought it would. I came into this game expecting it to be bad and what I came across was something that had tons of potential that never got to be fleshed out.
So... what do I think about this game as a whole? Honestly... I simply don't know. It might take me a bit to decide what I truly think about it all, since this game did quite a few things good and a few things bad. But all I can say is, I'm glad I can finally put this game behind me and I don't have to play this game again... unless I decide to play Project '06 in the future, that is, and I probably will... once I find a way to.
Now, I think it's time I play a LOT of Sonic Generations. I'll see you all next time with another take on a new Sonic game!!

So, I have a confession to make. I'm a contester. I'm not ashamed of this. While I'm in a confessing mood, I'll also mention that I've not participated in many contests in the past few years. This is not for the want of desire, but for the lack of motivation to fix things in my shack that are fundamentally broken.
On the weekend I participated in a local contest. I took part for six hours, got on-air and made noise, made about 30 contacts, had a ball. I wasn't playing to win, though I did use the opportunity to refresh and hone some of my rusty skills.
The next day I spent much too long converting my log into something that the contest organiser asked for. I also discovered that there was a duplicate entry in my log, not something which I'd expect with only so few contacts, but a reflection on the tool I was using to create my log.
I started writing down what I learnt from the experience, operating from my own shack, documenting what worked and what didn't.
I commented on several things relevant to me, but to give you a flavour, my operator position is terrible because I'm logging on my main computer and the radio is side-on when I'm facing the computer. The sun was shining directly into my eyes when facing the computer. Holding a microphone I didn't have hands-free, I still don't have an auto-keyer to save my voice, my foot pedal didn't work and my data interface was on loan to another amateur.
As I said, these things are specific to me.
Logging was worse.
It didn't quite bring me to tears, but as the contest went on, it became a problem. I started to write down what was wrong with the tool I was using with a view to submitting patches to fix it when I realised that it wasn't actually built as a contesting logging tool, so I stopped and instead started writing a new list, one that describes what a good contesting tool looks like. It builds on a decade of using different tools and participating in contests in all manner of different situations, from special portable event activations, through to the annual top-tier contests run from a purpose built contest station and everything in between.
So, what does the ideal contesting tool look like, for me?
It needs to be cross platform, as-in, I should be able to use it on whatever computer I have access to, my Linux workstation, a Macintosh Laptop, an Android phone or tablet and while I'm at it, Windows and iOS and I think it should be able to run on a Raspberry Pi. In other words, there shouldn't be a situation where you cannot run the tool because you have some random combination of operating system or CPU that the developer doesn't support.
It must be open source. By that I mean, the code should be available to the entire community. There are too many stories of great tools dying or being held hostage by individuals or small groups. The tool should continue to exist and be usable regardless of the participation of the original developer. Users should be able to fix things, add functionality, change themes, whatever.
You should be able to customise it because not every contest needs the same information. For example, the John Moyle Memorial Field Day, a contest run every year during March in Australia requires that VHF and UHF contacts record the maidenhead locator, a four or six character message that designates the location of the station. This is used to calculate distance between two stations and award points accordingly. Such a requirement isn't needed in most other contests.
Some contests are considered friendly contests, like the Remembrance Day contest in August. It's common to exchange your name, details about your station and have a chat. You'd be unpopular if you used that approach for the Oceania DX, the CQ World Wide or the CQ WPX contests. In other words, some fields are expected for some contests, but not for others.
The tool needs to be able to show if a contact is valid by whatever means the rules for a particular contest decide. It needs to automatically log the time, keep track of previous entries and know about the super check partial list to validate partial callsigns.
The user needs to be able to use either a keyboard or mouse, or both, to do all the common contesting data entry. No dependency on crazy keyboard shortcuts, no requirement to click the mouse to make an entry, in other words, the tool needs to be able to get out of the way of the contester.
I think it needs to have a plug-in system to accommodate different rules and it needs to be able to export data in whatever format the contest organiser expects.
You should be able to use it without needing to be connected to the internet during the contest, it should be easy to update and have the ability to keep a station log for all the contacts ever made.
It would be great if it could also import existing logs so you can start to consolidate older logs.
Having spent quite some time looking for such a tool and failing, I've come to the conclusion that there's only one thing for it, I'm going to have to write my own tool and it would be great if you could help by sharing your opinion on the matter.
At this point I'm looking for suggestions on what you think is needed for a great contesting tool. I realise that for some, pen and paper is sufficient, and I'm not trying to dissuade you from using that, I've used it myself on more than one occasion, rather, I'm asking if you can think of things that it should do out of the box, things that are basic functionality that you would like to see as part of the design.

It's been 7 years of hell and I've tried to come back too early before. I'm looking for a back and forth and to be questioned and challenged. Not told. Had enough of that from the ex attributing emotions to me I wasn't feeling and being non neurotypical. I'm not. I've been tested.

Politics: The conversations I've had we agree in principle. We even agree on importance but I just can't muster anger and think, aside from a few extremists, the other side is evil. I come down more on most people just don't have the bandwidth to get deep.
Interests: I read, bike, trivia, game, kayak, backpack. Very nerdy with Tolkien, Star Trek, and literature.
Kids: 2. 10 and 13.
Politics: Ultimately a pragmatist. A true engineer. Define the problem, identify the solution.
Struggles and feedback from exes:
God complex. E1's issue was I get stressed out I can't fix the whole damn world. My field is environmental and safety but my natural inclination is to fix everything. I can burn myself out trying to have a relationship, while also fixing Flint's pipes, the legal system, pollution, climate change, and being there for my friends.
My auditory sensitivity causes issues. Gum popping, whistling. I use noise canceling and cope, but that's caused friction too.
Domestic stuff... I've been accused of implicit criticism. I don't say anything, but will redo stuff or "sigh aggressively" or look disappointed. Like when the ex soaked my cast iron in Dawn overnight.
Physical....average height 5'9", Median healthy build. Active. More cute than hot. Good hair. Soft, full, no Grey.
Weird ideas on profile... Well read is important to me, so I'm considering things like a staged portrait with my favorite books read in the past year.
So let it rip...women between 35-50(ish), that don't have red lines around anything I've listed, like that I have kiss, grill me like a prospective date?

So I’ve 100% everything to the point where I’ve collected everything even went past the collection book and got all the extra pages that weren’t necessary and the extra treasures that weren’t in any way needed. Even spent the extra time to get level 114 gears for all 6 items. And all the “shiny Pokémon”
This is a list of some things that I think could’ve made this game a better experience imo. Some of these I found on my own and some are ideas I have seen others mention that I agree with and/or added my own thoughts on.

• No students/teachers in bed or rooms at night??

-Collecting field guide pages that can’t be viewed and give no extra lore or information. (Statues/dragon basins/mirrors etc) Essentially collecting them for the sake of the challenge feels pointless
-Gear score system (I have always disliked this game mechanic in ANY game) collecting 100s of random gear pieces that have nothing unique or special about them. Just for the sake of numbers. I wish I could have unique pieces of gear or equipment that actually meant something and have unique abilities/features to them.
-learning random spells from random teachers. It feels like you’re just learning any spell from anyone and not related to the field of magic they teach.
-Attending classes doesn’t really feel immersive or important. Like a lot of things in this game it feels really cool and special at first but the actual “going to classes” parts end very quickly and at the end you realize you’ve only gone to a total of like 10 or less classes.
-Ability to sell potions/ingredients. I honestly barely used some of them and I can’t loot new ones cause I’m already full on inventory and have no way to get rid of them without just using them all. If shops can sell then why can’t I? (ESPECIALLY when I literally have my OWN SHOP due to the dlc)
-Building on that last point the having your own shop quest feels pointless as you just get another vendor that buys your junk gear for 10% more which is quite insignificant. It doesn’t feel like I actually have a shop.
-More unique student relationships. And possibly relationships unique to what house you choose. The relationships present seem mostly weak. It doesn’t feel like I actually have any friends around.
-more unique story/quests/relationships based on house chosen. This would make replaying aLOT more worth it than just the one quest for each house.
-Actual house point/house cup being important with some kind of point system. Not just like Harry Potter where the main character Automatically wins like WTF. “MC gets 100 points for being awesome they win because..” come on. The old Harry Potter games managed to do this better.
-obviously quidditch
-romance options would be interesting in my opinion and another way to add replay value. (I know this can be controversial so I won’t elaborate further)
-QOL - being able to use buttons in menus instead of slow cursor. (Me just nitpicking)
-Ability to sleep and use furniture. Being able to actually use your common room and talk to friends or do other activities maybe add some mini games shit SOMETHING PLEASE. Common room feels pointless and empty.
-STEALTH - There’s a couple of missions with restricted areas that specifically teach you about stealth spells and avoiding prefects/professors that means completely NOTHING as you can just go anywhere whenever the hell you want after those couple quests. There is no stealth required afterwords unless you want to take out a camp quietly.
-Being able to just enter anyone’s home with alohomora whenever you please with absolutely no repercussions or even DIALOG.
-Alohomora mini game is repetitive
-WAYYYYYY tooo many Merlin trials like 25-30 would suffice.
-More ingredients/potions variety there are just too few, and make more useful.
-also more plants kind of same as last point
-items like wizard cards, chocolate frogs every flavor beans etc. (if it was invented at this time) stuff from zonkos shop. There’s alot of things in the wizarding world that are seemingly absent or just mentioned in a revelio page.
-More utility spells game is HEAVILY combat oriented
-the world outside hogwarts and hogsMeade is boring and a lot of copy paste. No interesting interactions. The world looks beautiful while you’re flying around but really there’s not a lot to do and mostly always doing the same thing clearing some camp open a chest for gear. I think the game could benefit from a smaller map and more focus to the main areas with the other stuff I mentioned.
-The leveling system - can’t reach level 40 (max) without doing EVERYTHING. Which isn’t fun after you did it once. So you’re not getting max unless you collect EVERYTHING AGAIN. You also can’t get All perks and have to sacrifice 12 a bit annoying. All exp is tied to the book/quests and not for actually defeating enemies or doing anything else.
I hope they add something in terms of DLC there’s no end game content. At the end your just collecting stuff.
I really enjoyed the game again these are just things I jotted down as I was playing as I’ve been excited for this game since I heard of it. My expectations are very high. Sorry some points might seem similar. And I’m sure I missed a few things.

I used to be an extremely oily skinned girly throughout my life. However, recently my skin has gone so dry that I feel a tightness even after using just a hydrating cleanser! I also have moderately acne prone skin (which somehow didn't agree with tret at all) and so would like to include an active in my routine as well.

AM: Water cleanse, The Ordinary Niacinamide, QV ceramides moisturiser, Hamilton face spf
PM: QV ceramides cleanser, The Ordinary Niacinamide, QV ceramides moisturiser. I occasionally double cleanse with the Simple cleansing oil

Hello, I am currently 20 years old, and I started working at a small tech company (~20 employees) in March of 2021 as an entry level IT guy. My father works at this company, and has been involved with the management and some of the field service staff for longer than I have been alive. It is a relatively laid back workplace, I like my coworkers, and I love how close it is to my apartment. I can either drive 4 miles (roughly 6km), or take a bike path on a 30 minute ride in to work.
I started off here working as a part time, 24hweek intern with no experience, relevant degree, or certificates, making $15/hr, then to full time at the start of last year and have also been given decent raises each year. My work initially consisted of being in an IT Help Desk role, but has expanded as I have worked here to more complex roles, now managing the network and SaS email and web hosting solution, doing Web Design via WordPress and with some PHP/CSS coding, still being the only help desk guy, being a sysadmin who works on our 5 servers ( 2 Quickbooks servers, 1 Active Directory server, and 2 NAS computers. ), and looking to get into cybersecurity for meeting NIST/CMMC requirements.
I strongly feel as though the management don't allow me to actually move forward with solving a good portion of our issues due to a lack of resources, and a lack of knowledge as to what is important. I also am not given any assistance by basically anybody except my father, whom often is busy working on other things, or by our software programmer, who works in an entirely different vein of coding than me.
I am not certified in anything yet, though I am interested in acquiring some certificates. My interests lie mainly with Help Desk, System Administration for servers, client endpoints, and networking equipment. I am also interested in, though to a much less degree, web design and cybersecurity. I have found web design to be a consistently egregious, though rewarding once sections of projects finished, and I have found cybersecurity to be very interesting, though not something I would actually want to do, as I would rather make cool things like servers work and do cool stuff in the first place than keep them secure.
Frankly, I should be getting nearly twice what I am now, a bit under $19/hr after 2 years, and the workload being given to me. I figure that it may be more difficult for me to negotiate higher pay due to my lack of certifications, and the overall quality of my work being done not being as high as a certified person's would be, though I do put a great deal of effort into my job, and I now have miles and miles more real world experience and knowledge than I started with.
That brings me to these questions; 1.) How do I negotiate for more pay in my position? 2.) What title(s) would be the most appropriate for what I am currently doing? 3.) I love what I do, but I find the progress that I make to be very slow, and I feel like I am nearing the limit of what I can learn without backing from a better company. Do I keep the close, easy job, and work on certificates and challenging projects on the side, or should I leave for something more challenging, better paying, and faster paced?

Knighted in 1994 for his contributions to science, Sir Roger Penrose OM FRS, is an English mathematical physicist, mathematician and philosopher.
The extraordinary scope of his work ranges from quantum physics and theories of human consciousness to relativity theory and observations on the structure of the universe. Penrose is internationally renowned for his scientific work in mathematical physics, in particular for his contributions to general relativity and cosmology. His primary interest is in a field of geometry called tesselation, the covering of surfaces with tiles of different shapes.
Among numerous prizes and awards, he received the 1988 Wolf Prize for physics, which he shared with Stephen Hawking for their contribution to our understanding of the universe.
He is the Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford, as well as an Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College.
"There is a current view that consciousness is something which arises from some complicated computation. So we have our computers, and people think that because they can do things amazingly fast, and they can calculate very quickly, and they can play chess extremely well, that they are superior to us even, and it is only some complicated aspect of this computational activity that somehow consciousness arises from that. Near-Death Experiences are intensely vivid and often life-transforming experiences, many of which occur under extreme physiological conditions such as trauma, ceasing of brain activity, deep general anesthesia or cardiac arrest in which no awareness or sensory experiences of any kind should be possible according to the prevailing views in neuroscience. A near-death experience, or NDE, is a common pattern of events that many people experience when they are experiencing intense threat, are seriously ill or come close to death. Although NDEs vary from one person to another, they often include such features as the following: feeling very comfortable and free of pain a sensation of leaving the body, sometimes being able to see the physical body while floating above it the mind functioning more clearly and more rapidly than usual a sensation of being drawn into a tunnel or darkness a brilliant light, sometimes at the end of the tunnel a sense of overwhelming peace, well-being, or absolute, unconditional love a sense of having access to unlimited knowledge a “life review,” or recall of important events in the past a preview of future events yet to come encounters with deceased loved ones, or with other beings that may be identified as religious figures While these features are commonly reported, many NDEs differ from this pattern and include other elements. For example, some near-death experiences may be frightening or distressing rather than peaceful. We are interested in hearing about all kinds of near-death and similar experiences, and in studying their effect on persons who have them. Veridical NDEs We are particularly interested in studying NDEs that may bear on the question of whether the mind can function outside the physical body, and on whether we may survive bodily death. One such type of experience is the so-called veridical NDE, in which experiencers acquire verifiable information that they could not have obtained by any normal means. For example, some experiencers report seeing events going on at some distant location, such as another room of the hospital; or an experiencer might meet a deceased loved one who then communicates verifiable information the experiencer had not known. Other kinds of NDEs that may bear on the mind/body question include those in which mental functioning seems to be enhanced despite physiological evidence that the brain is impaired. The causes of NDEs are complex and not fully known. While many medical and psychological explanations have been offered, they remain speculative and often fall short of explaining the entire phenomenon. Participate in Research:
1) Investigating physician barriers to acceptance of near-death experiences-IRB-SBS Protocol #5305 Call for research with physicians who have had a near-death experience. Dr. Marieta Pehlivanova and Dr. Bruce Greyson are recruiting physicians who have had a near-death experience (NDE) for an online study. The purpose of the study is to learn about physicians’ attitudes toward NDEs. These are personal and deeply transformative experiences that patients can experience when they are in a medical crisis or close to death. Patients sometimes report the feeling of leaving their bodies, going through a tunnel, strong positive emotions, and a sense of having a life review, among others. Because of the impact of NDEs on experiencers’ lives, patients sometimes talk about these experiences with their physicians. This research aims to improve these interactions. We are interested in your participation even if you have not had patients who have reported an NDE. Participation in the study will take about 15 minutes of your time and will consist of an anonymous online questionnaire. You are eligible to participate if you are 18 years of age or older, are a physician in any specialty, have had a near-death experience, and are fluent in English. If you are over age 18, currently healthy, and would like to share a near-death experience of any type with the researchers at the Division of Perceptual Studies, please share your experience via Contact Us. 3) Near-Death Experiences: Comparing Two Scales of Near-Death Experience Features, IRB-SBS Protocol #4885 Call for research participants who have had a near-death experience Dr. Bruce Greyson and Dr. Marieta Pehlivanova at the UVA Division of Perceptual Studies are recruiting individuals who have had a near-death experience (NDE) for an online study. These are personal and transformative experiences that sometimes happen when one is close to death or under the threat of death. This research asks for your opinion about the wording of questionnaires about NDEs and will allow researchers to improve these questionnaires to better reflect the experiences people have. Participation in the study will take up to 20 minutes of your time and will consist of a single online questionnaire. Soon after the campers have finished their dinner tonight and most of the plates have been cleared away, the conch horn is blown to call for their attention. It’s that time of the month - it’s time for Capture the Flag. Two satyrs bring the flags out, a pair of silk banners each about ten feet long. One is painted with laurels and a palm frond, and has gold trim along the bottom; that one is taken to Casey Machos. The other, taken to Marco Jimenez, is more plain, grey with a large caduceus painted down its length.
The flags flap in a strong wind that blows through the pavilion, carrying a chill with it. The evening had been somewhat snowy, stray flakes falling occasionally even during dinner, but as Chiron begins to cover the rules, they descend in greater numbers.

The helmets feature horsehair plumes in blue and red; bandanas in the same colours are also provided for those who have their own helmets they’d rather wear, as they’re still expected to display which team they belong to in some fashion.
Chiron pauses, watching the snow falling, and makes a sharp gesture with his hands still spread, causing boxes of heat packs to appear among the equipment. “I was hoping that this would be a good month for the game, with the weather hopefully getting… warmer,” he admits, “but if you’re willing, I think we should give it a try. Take some heat packs with you and if it becomes too much, remember that you can back out. It’s only a game.”
If the snow gets to be too much, perhaps Chiron would have to call an end to the game… He’ll have to wait and see.
Once everybody is armed and ready, Chiron makes his final announcements. “I will be serving as field medic and referee. Please remember the woods are stocked with monsters, so be careful. Remember the rules, know that no killing or maiming will be tolerated, and try to have fun.” And with a blow of his conch horn, the teams split up and the game begins.

In-Character Rules

• The creek is the boundary line
• The entire forest is considered fair game.
• All magic items and powers are allowed.
• The flags must be prominently displayed and can have no more than two guards.
• Guards aren’t allowed to stand within ten yards of the flag unless actively fighting an opponent.
• Prisoners may be disarmed, but may not be bound or gagged.
• Killing or maiming is NOT allowed.

OOC Rules and Notes

• There will be a comment thread for each flag as well as a thread for the ‘battle grounds’.
• Each character should only be active in one CTF thread at a time - ie, you can’t be in multiple fights at once. Multi-person threads are encouraged!
• You must have had at least one thread with your character successfully getting past an opponent on the Battle Grounds thread before reaching the opposing team’s Flag comment.
• NEW RULE: In order to prevent the game from being dragged out, we are implementing a limit of 5 responses per person in a Battle Grounds thread; at that point an outcome should be determined regarding whether a character is able to move on, retreat, be captured, etc.
• Remember that attacks should be made in attempts. Don’t metagame or godmod; keep your character’s limits in mind. If you have an issue with another writer playing unfairly, feel free to alert the mods about it.
• If it takes more than two days for an opponent to respond, you may choose to end the thread or, in a multi-person thread, skip their turn.
• The equipment provided by Chiron is standard Celestial Bronze, no enchantments.
• This is an official Camp Game so XP (1 combat point per character) will be given for participation.
• Because this game is impacted by the events of plot, the mods might occasionally pop into your threads to add some details about how the weather is progressing!

I have no idea why AKST or any officials have not updated the information, as this was discovered in August last year... But here's an overview of what we've found and what our unnamed Field Analyst wrote while he was out there:

Crow Pass, Missing Person: Case Report

-FA, "Maketa". N.S.P. (North Star Project)
Background:
A 74-year-old Gary Fisk, Departed on the Crows' pass hike from Girdwood to Eagle river on September 21st, 2021. After a bout of Adverse weather, including snow and high winds, Fisk was never heard from again. Aircraft and mountain rescue crews were unable to locate Fisk or recover a Cadaver. This area is known for avalanches and Blizzards, as are most of the mountains surrounding the Mat-Su Valley during the winter and spring months.
Running theory:
AKST and Rescue crews were unable to locate Mr. Fisk, finding no signs and publishing minimum circumstances regarding his disappearance. However, heavy snowfall likely played a significant role. It was likely causing him to become lost or seek shelter in one of the many Abandoned mines in the area. Trained rescue crews often do not enter Dilapidated mines due to the risk of Poisonous gas, Cave-ins, and/or improperly disposed of ordinances. I and a local guide have Formed the hypothesis that Fisk departed Girdwood, and traveled an Undetermined distance. (will be estimated through interview with AKST) Mr. Fisk was unable to travel further or backtrack due to increasing weather severity, seeking shelter inside the lowest point near his position. Some period of time had passed and an avalanche/or snow had buried the trail or if sheltering in a mine entrance bracing may have failed to cause a cave-in. It is estimated Fisk is likely Deceased due to Exposure and/or starvation
Planned Field Investigation:
Beginning in August 2022, the Investigation will be conducted by Bridger Maketa, Assisted in the field by Nathaniel Caole. Time of departure/ weather conditions and Geological activity will be determined through interview With AKST, NOAA and or Family Members, then be cross-referenced to determine distance traveled. All Underground cavities in the area will be searched, for signs of Fisk, snow coverage, and/or Recent collapse within the past 2 years. If Mr Fisk is Located and ID’d, measurements will be taken of Radiation, gas levels, signs of injury and location. Outcome to be forwarded to family, And AKST.

Investigation outcome:
Aug 18th 2022: our party Departed Girdwood at 12pm, traveling up the lower and upper trails. Multiple slide locations into thick unsearchable foliage were spotted, as well as one of two accessible mine entrances due to time constraints. There were many places to fall including a large canyon on the southern incline towards the summit, which all locations prior to the summit would make recovery unlikely/implausible. We also encountered record rainfall combined with 60mph+ as we crossed by Beaver Glacier. After the descent time had degraded the trail causing us to lose it temporarily. We decided to make camp at the bottom of the valley behind the bluff for wind protection.
Aug 19th 2022: upon departure, we were unable to progress on the lower valley, upon backtracking to enter the trail, we spotted an aluminum rod deep in the brush, No other items seen. We Completed the first river crossing with ease, with the water just above ankles. And continued down trail, checking low areas where a lost person would be attracted towards. A footbridge over a canyon had damaged railing, if someone fell they would be likely non-recoverable, another location shorty after involved a slippery ledge over the canyon. Upon entering the bushwhacking section of the trail we were hindered by a cow and calf (female Moose with calf), refusing to exit the trail in front of us while traveling through tall grass and thick foliage. In 14 miles with an additional 4 in detours we arrived upon the bank of Eagle River. We had immediately noticed water levels were far higher than typical. Much of the trail to the fjord sight was immersed in ice cold glacial water causing us to detour along the higher sections of floodplain. Upon arrival to the fjord sight, we concluded Eagle River was in-cross able. Our choice was either 15 miles of steep muddy slopes followed by a treacherous mountain climb, or to attempt to travel south to cross the headwaters of the lake. Upon choosing to travel the shorter path, the trail dissapeared replaced by rough terrain and thick foliage. We continued for two miles until we were half way around the lake. Upon then we found a piece of Grey pants on the ground, we were surprised someone had been here before us, however 50 feet the terrain was completely impassible, down to the left in an indent, our search took a eventful and solemn turn, as we spotted a bright yellow backpack. A floral water bottle was attached outside, while a lighter lay upon the ground 3 feet away. We searched the bag for ID, eventually identifying it as belonging to Gary Fisk. Being careful to not disturb evidence we left the bag and all other items in position. Noticeably the backpack had a foam pad yet no sleeping bag, a bear canister (food storage canister) had teeth marks upon it, however the yellow bag had not been opened upon discovery. We determined to visually search for a few more minutes, finding a turned over tree with a can of bear spray, which had a bite taken out of it. 20 ft left from the pant leg.
Upon departure we spotted tattered red fabric 50 feet above us on the canyon to our western side.

The weather quickly declined, resulting in many slips and falls upon our return. Water began flooding the valley, turning most trail sections into flowing streams and deep mud pits. We were determined to return to the summit cabin before dark, due to the danger of climbing at night, and our camping gea fire starting kits becoming waterlogged. We kept moving taking minimum breaks to stave off hypothermia making it 10 miles uphill before the first river crossing. Upon a short discussing we knew our only way was across, as the record flood would continue for weeks. The river had risen to waist height, moving fast enough to send boulders crashing downstream. We found a fjord sight and barely crossed, due to a single trekking pole I became completely wet, and hypothermia quickly set in causing my legs to tense and losing my ability to move.
Aug 20th 2022: We made an emergency camp, utilizing a bivy bag and wet gear. Mr Caole completed the last 2 miles to the cabin to call for help. I was inside the bivy bag unable to move for 12 hours until ANG Hilo arrived, being airlifted to Providence Anchorage with severe hypothermia.
August 21st 2022: AKST and S&R crews traveled to the sight but were unable to find any remains or the clothing we found. Only recovering the backpack and bearspray
Deduction:
The location of Gary Fisk’s campsite being Miles ahead of where S&R crews suspected. From the evidence found the story is assumed to be, Gary departed on September 21st 2021, traveled down to the rear of the summit as weather degraded, continuing downhill to avoid deep snow.
Upon reaching the river crossing a day behind in progress, and wet from slush and snow, Gary traveled quicker and lost the trail to the fjord sight and continued to travel south. The terrain was more and more difficult to pass before finally reaching the dead end beside the lake. Garry was fully hypothermic and had no choice but to make camp and attempt to start a fire, however, as evident from the lighter and attempted fire, he was unsuccessful due to either the loss of dexterity, or the wetness of the area. It is unknown what happened after this, though it is possible that after hypothermia led to the removal of his clothes. Upon hearing the snowmachines used by S&R crews on the eastern lake side. Gary either A: climbed up the Cliff to signal for help, Following death by exposure. Or B: gary attempted to swim across the lake, the 38 degree water immediately causing Cardiac arrest.
Second theory of the nature of presumed death is, Gary, being stalked by a bear and mauled/Buried. This theory is supported by the numerous black and brown bear population in the area, His Bear mace being located 50 feet away from the campsite, with multiple punctures to the can, indicative of large teeth. As well as the torn clothes. (as opposed to neatly removed which is more typical to hypothermia)
However It is more likely a bear was attracted to the Capsacin and removed it from the bag to chew on, and there would have been one or more cadaver remnants from a bear mauling leaving the lack of a body improbable.

Hey guys! As title says I'm trying to make my first resume and have no idea where to begin. I'm currently trying to find an internship over the summer for something in the finance field. I've got a 3.54 gpa, as well as a member of the National Society of Leadership and success. For extracurricular activities I spend most of my time with the Club tennis team here on campus.
My main problem is trying to decide what I should put on my resume. For example, I doordash whenever I have free time. I don't really know if I should put that on my resume because I understand it isn't exactly viewed as a "real job," and if I did, I'm not too sure what skills I would have learned other than basic customer interaction that would apply to a finance internship.
Similarly, I got funded for an online prop trading firm. I have been trading and keeping up with the financial world since 2020, and it is ultimately the passion I had for it that made me switch my degree from Mech Eng to Finance. It has taught me tons about the financial world and stock market and also has taught me about discipline, patience, as well as taking responsibility for my actions and decisions. However, I struggle to put it on my resume because I think day trading again isn't viewed as real job experience (understandably), and with the rise of WSB I feel like I could be cast off as some degenerate gambler.
Overall I'm just not sure how to make my self stand out among other applicants.

Hello Reddit,
I'd like to invite you to join my gaming community. We just wiped on March 20, 2023. The server is built around the community and not the map. DayZ is an amazing game, but after a while, maps get stale, boring and we all fade out and loose interest. On my server we will be swapping out maps from time to time to keep things interesting and fresh. Same people, same play style, same mod set (within reason), new challenges. That said, we just moved on to Banov so I expect we'll be here for a while.
The community is an older, more mature crowd and we're pretty cooperative with more of a PVE Mindset. That said PVP is legal everywhere. The threat of death should be ever present. In all, I would say that the community promotes good sportsmanship and we lack any toxic drama for which I have zero tolerance.
The Black Winter theme is really one of just regular folks making due with what's left. Although I have some amazing weapon mods in place, I've only picked out 1 or 2 civilian weapons from each to add to our theme. There are a few "item pack mods" installed as well but again, only a select couple items have made it into play.
A lot of attention has been placed on Quality of Life - both good and bad.

I've offset the challenging start for freshies by adding airdrops to a few locations near the largest spawn clusters. These airdrops will contain the basics like, insulated clothing, food, medicine, and basic weapons and ammo. Enough to get you on your feet. Careful going to an air drop though, you might not be the only starving person in need..
My target audience is the mature gamer who would like to build a cozy base, do some hunting and fishing and chat with some new folks and go on some adventures. Maybe shoot at a nerd when the mood is right =)
We currently have a very solid group of regulars, mature professionals who just want to unwind after a day at work and hide from the kids while trying to get lost in the world we're building together. This is an excellent server to meet some folks and start your Banov adventure.
We do have a couple of "light" role players. Nothing to "hark who art thou" - but I think all of our game play is along the lines of, this is me and this is what I'd do in the apocalypse. Meet up conversations are usually focused on what we're doing in the game.

Quick and Dirty FAQ.

• There is no trader, though a player suggested he may be working towards that.
• In game map, you need to find a map to use the M key. You need to find a GPS and have it on to see your location on the map. 3D Marks are disabled.
• Is KOS Legal? Yes ( player interactions are what make this game special )
• Is there global chat? No - but there are TacSat Radio's and Field Radios that won't despawn - some players chatter via radio. The white noise adds to the ambience =).
• Time is not persistent so your base will need a flag. Anything without a flag icon at your base should be in a container or may poof.
• Check the discord for crafting recipes and base building recipes in the tips and recipes section.
• Press the pause key for the Server Information Panel - Rules, and details in there.

Some of my players have been giving feedback in the days since wipe; their misery is perfectly on point. The economy is a challenge, but not impossible. You will need to prioritize getting warm, fed, and hydrated first and foremost. There are no natural foods (apples, mushrooms etc cuz winter reasons) so don't waste your time looking there.
