This is probably just a very stupid question, but I'm just so frustrated already :(
Summer hasn't even started and my apartment is already so hot. I don't wear almost any clothes, only a t-shirt to have meetings (remote work), and without being in front of a fan it's so uncomfortable already (the whole past week). During the day I guess it's not that bad, but at night... I just can't sleep.
I'm from a much warmer country, in summer it gets easily over 30 degrees, and in hot waves can get over 40, even 45. Which is horrible, but you don't suffer the hot at home. I've been here in Berlin last summer too, and it was awful. This year I was trying to have a better mindset, reminding winter is so much worse and summer has so many things to enjoy. But is not even summer and I have already slept so badly due to the temperature that I think it's just going to be the same as last year. And also since I work remotely I spend most of my time at home, sadly.
So I'm just wondering how everyone else does it, I don't see that much people complaining really. Maybe my apartment just sucks and gets hotter than most?
What bothers me the most is not being able to sleep, bc of course it really affects my mood and my job. I don't see shops selling AC's for homes, and I've never seen one in an apartment or a house. Also of course I'm renting, so I don't think that'd be a possibility.
Is there something I could do about it?? Or my only options is just holding on with just a fan? Also my apartment ceiling is so low I can't even install a ceiling fan :'(

How come because her last card to play was the “call 911 with false claims” leading to my arrest and release on conditions to stay away, I’m now punished by not seeing my kids 2.5 weeks. I’m then offered by her lawyer to mine the first offer for seeing my kids. Both of them for 4 hours, return 6month old (due to breast feeding🙄) and then return my son 2 hours later…. A grand total of 6 hours. Meanwhile she sits at home all day everyday ,controlling them both, and loving that fact. Anyone have any luck pushing for more child time?

I built this NAS/home server about a year ago. It has been stable since.
I came home last week to find the server powered off. Strange, so I tried to power it back on. The power light came on for less than 1 second and then shut off. I opened the side of the case to observe, and tried to power it on again. The power light came on, the back case fan spun up, and the CPU fan spun up as well, again for about 1 second or less.
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.
I started to reseat all the components, check cabling, and so on, checking to see if the computer would power on at each step. I reseated the RAM, then tried booting with just a single stick.
Finally, I took off the other side of the case and observed some damage on the back of the motherboard, where it appears something has gotten hot and popped. Sorry, but not super familiar with the terminology that I should use here to describe what has popped.

So I have two questions I'd appreciate some help talking through with.
1) What could have caused this, or what most likely happened? Just a fluke? Poor manufacturing and a board defect? Are other components likely to have been affected?
2) What steps can I take to limit the chances of this happening again? Better or bulkier PSU, better cabling, something else? I'm strongly considering adding a UPS as a first step.

I recently became the building manager for my apartment building and need to buy my own cordless drill/driver and reciprocating saw. The guys I'll be replacing gave some pretty detailed recommendations, but after some time online, it seems they bought their tools back when brands were less shit. They placed DeWalt in the same tier as Milwaukee and Makita; according to some of you, DeWalt has lost their way. They recommended I go more in the prosumer direction though, recommending Craftsman, Ryobi, and Kobalt for that.
I found some dirt cheap Craftsman stuff at Lowes ($86 for a drill/driver, battery, charger, and small drill bit/driver head set), but apparently they've really shit the bed in recent years, so I'm not sure I wanna go that route. Ridgid and Ryobi come highly recommended here, so I might go with them? I always though Home Depot was shit, but they're the only ones near me that sell these along with Makita and Milwaukee.
Anyway, right now I'm planning on splurging for a solid drill, probably Makita, and a corded recip saw from a more prosumer brand. I'd also like to know the cheapest way to get the tools and bits, there's so many goddamn combo sets I have no idea what the right move is.

I’ve always had trouble multi-tasking and procrastinating - I just figured with the right incentives, I’d push through. Well, I got fired again.
I feel like I’m suddenly trying to relearn everything about myself. The little habits I had were actually coping mechanisms. - I wasn’t forgetful, I had trouble with object permanence. I wasn’t interrupting people’s conversations because I was rude, it was because of the pragmatic language impairment.
Putting labels on the why helped shift the feelings of being “at fault” and “broken” off my shoulders. But it’s a lot of front loading, making those connections, putting a name on it, and trying to find a way to express that to loved ones. I spent my 20s learning about myself. Now I’m trying to do that all over again and squishing that learning, adapting, and expressing in one fell swoop.
I’ve spent the last two months focused on my mental health, but ended up neglecting my job and my home life. I am diverting all my spoons to mental health but I can’t keep doing that without sacrificing everything else.
How do I learn about myself faster and better? The idea of scrolling through google searches for advice is draining. I have several weekly therapy sessions that I feel like I end up too overwhelmed by.
Has anyone had to go through a life/career coach or similar process to figure out what kind of environment they thrive in best? Who do you talk to?

This list includes some ‘first-choice’ picks I believe are realistic, and some ‘wildcard’ picks that I think would be nice but are less realistic for one reason or another.
First-choice
Aleix Garcia is a product of Manchester City’s youth academy, currently plying his trade for Girona in La Liga. He registered 6 assists and 1 goal in 29 appearances this year, which is an impressive return for a midfielder in a mid-table side. His year’s option hasn’t been extended at present, so may be available for free, or for a cut-price fee if he has a year left on his deal. Either way, his playmaking ability would add a different dimension to our midfield.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles needs a permanent home after spells in and out of the Arsenal team and away on loan. Despite his inconsistency, I believe there’s still a real player in the former England international. He’s best in midfield, but also has utility in being able to cover multiple positions. He’s available on a free, and Luton could provide him with the permanent home he is looking for.
Gustavo Hamer’s quality was on offer at Wembley, equalizing against Luton with a fine finish. With 9 goals and 10 assists this season, he’s evidently one of the Championship’s premium talents. Whilst he may command a high fee (transfermarkt estimates his value at approximately £7m), the Brazilian’s talent might be worth every penny.
Hannibal Mejbri could be available on loan from Manchester United. An all round talent that’s tough in the tackle, but equally as good going forward – Hannibal registered 1 goal and 5 assists in a pretty average Birmingham team this season. It would be nice to bring him back to the club, but with 2 goals and 4 assists in the championship this season he doesn’t walk into Luton’s XI. Because he’s not guaranteed first team football here, he might pursue a move elsewhere.
There is a lot of flux and uncertainty at Chelsea, but one certain there is Carney Chukwuemeka’s talent. There’s a reason why Chelsea paid £18m for him. If Chelsea’s midfield acquisitions stunt his development, there could be scope for a loan move to Luton to gain more experience. Who knows what Chelsea are going to do this Summer though…

Hi everyone, I've found a business for sale I would like to make enquiries on. This is being sold through a business broker. They are asking me to sign an agreement before obtaining information and making further inquiries. This agreement has a statement "i agree to indemnify [xx broker company name] against any claims arising from a breach of this agreement by [xx broker company name]".
This statement doesn't sound right. It seems like the business broker can breach the agreement but they have no consequences. Is this normal??
