Looking for advice and opinions
2023.03.25 02:48 ZealousidealPay4212 Looking for advice and opinions
25 yr old female 95lbs After 15 long years of migraines my pcp finally thought it would be necessary for me to get a c-spine and brain mri. This is only because for the last two years I have been complaining of relentless neck and left shoulder pain, arm numbness, more frequent dizzy/fainting spells and balancing problems to accompany my everyday headaches and severely debilitating migraines. My MRI’s revealed chiari malformation 1 (5mm) and a small syrinx. I had to quit my serving job 8 months ago because the everyday lifting and straining of carrying trays put me in constant pain that I could not escape. I have quite a lineup and strict routine of treatments devices and medications I use daily to feel remotely normal in my everyday life. This includes: a special sleep pillow and no less than 8 hours of sleep a night, a foam cervical pillow, heating pad, lidocaine patches, theragun, tens unit.. taking gabapentin 3 times a day, sumatriptan every other day, and zofran when I get nauseous. I get a medical massage every 2 weeks and occipital nerve blocks every 6-8 weeks. I have tried physical therapy, several medications like muscle relaxers, ubrelvy and topomax, Botox, and several shoulder injections. Gabapentin helps lessen the neck and shoulder pain and the occipital nerve block will lessen my amount of migraines for about 4 weeks. Other than that I have not found anything that can help more significantly. I cried happy tears when I finally got I diagnosed. I was gaslit by absolutely everyone that nothing was wrong with me for the last 15 years. The fainting and dizziness was always because I was “underweight”. The migraines were always because I was “dehydrated” “stressed” or “tired”. My new doctor is finally making me feel seen and heard. He is trying his best to help me but he is not a neurosurgeon or neurologist so there is only so much he can do. I saw my first neurosurgeon today and he just wanted a few minutes of time to tell my why I shouldn’t get the surgery, shake my hand and move on to the next patient. He did not care about any of my symptoms and did not want to answer any of my questions. He said 5mm herniation some doctors would not even consider to be chiari and syrinx is normal and common and no cause for concern. He told me it is unlikely any of my symptoms are even caused by this. He proceeded to tell me horror story’s of surgery complications and said “if you think you are in pain and your headaches are bad now, get the surgery and see how you’re gonna feel after that. I promise it’s way worse.” I was told i should ultimately just try acupuncture or to see a chiropractor. Needless to say I will not be seeing that neurosurgeon again. The worst part is grandmother was with me for the appointment and now she thinks I might not even have chiari although I have been told so by many other doctors. I am gaslit once again. I have two questions: 1. Has anyone ever tried acupuncture and what were your results? (I am willing to try anything that could offer some relief.) 2. Is it necessary to travel out of state to see a chiari specialist?

2023.03.25 02:48 VeryStab1eGenius Hybrid/heat pump water heater install price
I’ve been getting quotes for a swap out of a 50 gallon electric water heater for a hybrid/heat pump model of the same size and the prices I’ve gotten have been pretty mind blowing. There is already 240v service and a sump pit 36” away where the air conditioning condensate drains so I thought this would be pretty cut and dry but the first quote was $5300 and the second was $4800. The first guy told me the water heater itself was $2500 and when I questioned him on the $2800 for installation he just kind of hemmed and hawed. I’m in the NE United States. Can anyone share the install price of their hybrid water heater? TIA

2023.03.25 02:00 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA 5 Surpasses 150 Million Units Sold As GTA 6 Hype And Rumors Heat Up
Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong nearly eight years after it first debuted on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (remember those?), followed by a slightly newer re-release on Windows PCs and the the PS4 and Xbox One. To date, publisher Take-Two Interactive has sold over 150 million copies of GTA V on various platforms.
The publisher revealed the impressive sales stat as part of its earnings report for its fiscal first quarter of 2022. Looking at the data from the previous quarter, it means T2 sold an additional 5 million copies in the past three months. Not too shabby, given that GTA V is far from a new game at this point. That is not the end of it, either.
T2 plans to launch an "expanded and enhanced version" for the latest generation game consoles, those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on November 11, 2021. Developer Rockstar Games had previously said the updated version will bring "new features and more" to the table, but the details are still largely a mystery.
"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever," Rockstar Games said last year.
We presume the retooled version of GTA V will tap into the fast storage capabilities of modern consoles, to drastically reduce game load times. It will also leverage the newer hardware in the latest gen consoles, namely the custom SoC based on AMD's Zen 2 CPU cores and RDNA 2 graphics.

In the SOCAL area, got a quote for a Bosch AC system replacement. Below is the quote - looking for input on whether this is a good price given the geographic location of just outside of LA?
They said the duct work bit is optional / up to us - they'd recommend it given the age (21 years - AC and duct is original to the home) but not that it's in bad shape now either ...
Finally - I thought the Bosch systems required their own thermostats, but company noted the Honeywell thermostats we have would work fine with it?
Thanks so much !

2023.03.25 00:49 jryad Countryside Sabbath Fellowship Chapter 1 (part 2)
See chapter 1 part 1:
https://www.reddit.com/exAdventist/comments/11wi81l/countryside_sabbath_fellowship_chapter_1/ WE HAVE THIS HOPE THAT BURNS WITHIN OUR HEARTS,
HOPE IN THE COMING OF THE LORD.
Curiously, we did not bother singing the second verse of the song. The second verse was about love and unity in Christ, and I should have found it telling that these ideas were not something we would sing about. After the song, we all got down on our knees for prayer. Albert prayed, wrestling with the holy spirit to bring a sermon filled with truth for these last days.
After the tithe and offering plates were passed around and the special music was sung, the sermon came. It was the traditional Seventh-day Adventist program. In fact, nothing was much different other than the sermon and the fact that we got on our knees for each prayer.
The sermon was packed with information. While at other churches, the pastor did a lot of talking, and few if any materials were displayed, this church seemed to display huge chunks of information on the screen up front. While the Bible got some air time, it was really the Spirit of Prophecy* that was front and center. There was no sugarcoating it: Ellen White was the soup du jour at this church, and the congregants lapped it up like heat-scorched desert camels. The book that Albert was most fond of was The Great Controversy, as it shed light on the coming end of the world. Chunks of her writings were displayed, with certain words and phrases being color-coded. Some words, such as apostasy, were underlined. For a good hour, we listened intently to how Ellen White saw various end times events progressing, and how we were at a very precarious part of earth’s history.
I had never been to a sermon that was so loaded with information. There was a lot to take in. The congregation of predominantly old men seemed to come alive. Unlike some of the other churches I had been in, there was not a single closed eye. Not one was asleep. Backs were erect. Eyes were intently focused on the front of the room. Every once in a while someone would let out a militant “amen.”
Albert did not leave his perch at the podium in the front. He was the kind of pastor that was like a tree. Settled in place, hands firmly wrapped around the projector remote. As he preached, he would say “friends” a lot when trying to get his point across. “Friends, do you really want to be asleep at this point in earth’s history?” “Friends, it's time to wake up, because the rest of the world is asleep.” “Friends, we need to watch, because nobody else is going to watch for you.” “Friends now is the time to pray with trembling. The end is right around the corner.”
After over an hour, tummies were rumbling. After the final prayer and closing music, basic human wants took over. It was time to eat. We all quietly and reverently made our way out of the sanctuary to either the restrooms or the kitchen and dining area. The atmosphere was a little more lively. Some would talk about the sermon while others were discussing the pamphlets and upcoming events. Others were preparing lunch and just talking about the previous week’s events. One thing that was missing was the presence of children. Other than our daughter, who was two years old, there was not a single child present. Nor were there any teenagers or anyone in their twenties. Honestly, I think that we were the youngest in the group.
A few of the congregants were related. There were two brothers and their father who were said to be regulars. I recognized one of the brothers as the man who pounded that piano into submission for the “We Have This Hope” song. He was lanky and jovial. He laughed a lot. His brother appeared more sulky and quiet. He almost appeared to be brooding. The father was sitting at the table, hunched over. He didn’t look too well. He was very stoic and almost silent.
The younger man, who we shall call Eric, was preparing a salad and cutting fresh avocado. He took his time doing it, making sure to create a culinary masterpiece that would be worthy of the Sabbath day. I could start to smell the food at this point. All sorts of scents mingled as the food was warmed up in the oven. Things were getting hot now and our stomaches were screaming for sustenance.
Every Adventist potluck is different, but you can tell a lot about a church by the food they eat. The more traditional a church is, the less you will see dairy or meat. I have only seen meat at potluck when traveling internationally. It’s not something you see a lot of in the United States. Cheese is the great equalizer. The more cheese you find at a potluck, the less sway Ellen White has over the congregation. If cheese and other dairy are absent from the potluck spread, you can rest assured that the Spirit of Prophecy is abiding.
Looking over the potluck spread, I saw that some dairy had made a happy appearance. Little signs proclaimed whether or not a plate was vegan. The more traditional members ignored the cheese as if it didn’t exist. As for me, I reached for the lasagna. It would possibly be something I would have to answer for in the final judgment—but I was hungry. Real hungry.
Being that we were guests and had a child in tow, we were allowed to go up first. To have the first pickins off the buffet table is an honor that brings with it a solemn responsibility. Behind me was a small army of hungry seniors. To fill my plate with one tantalizing dish could mean that a more seasoned soldier of the Lord behind me would lack. I had to muster my self-control and make my way forward. Tongs danced across salads and strange casseroles as I lifted the contents onto my plate. I made my way along the table, seeing a variety of concoctions that would bedazzle an outsider. Many of these dishes looked like something you would find in a cookbook that had gone out of print decades ago.
It can not be denied that much of the food was good. Some of it was bland, but given that the optimal Adventist diet shuns the use of pepper, spicy condiments, and vinegar, what can you expect? There was salt for those who desired it. I also found that strategically mixing certain foods could give them an added flavor that almost seemed exotic—maybe even sinful. Later on, I would read that much of the spice-abstaining diet ideas that Ellen White saw as optimal were gleaned from a health craze that had taken over during her time. While this craze had become obscure and disappeared from life in our modern era, some Adventist groups still follow this outdated form of healthful eating advice.
Potluck is the perfect time to get a real feel for the individual beliefs of church members. While most churches have a mix of more conservative and liberal members, observing the banter that happens during potluck is a great way to gauge the overall feel of a church. It was during the potluck time that I began to understand that there was more to this church than originally met my eye.
As I slurped up a vegetable broth, my ears were taking in all sorts of discussions that were happening from various areas of the table. I heard something about chemtrails and something about Jesuits. I had heard some discussion of Jesuits in the past but had always kind of ignored it. Being that I went to a Jesuit university, I found it somewhat relevant. I had heard my father-in-law discuss chemtrails in the past, and always thought it was a strange, and even a stupid thing to waste your time thinking about. It never made any sense to me. Yet, strangely, here it was, popping up at potluck. Talk of increased spraying and airplanes flying low over the area filled my ears.
Now was a good time to step outside and get some fresh air. It was a lovely Spring day, and nobody wants to spend their whole day in a musty old church. Therefore, I gathered my wife and daughter and we made our way outside to play on a small playground area that had been built outside. Even though there were no children at this church, the other church that still owned the building must have had children in the congregation.
As I watched my daughter play on the wooden playground, I looked up at the steeple. I thought back to our time in Eastern European Country, of this place, and the Deer Park church. I did not understand it. Yet, I didn’t see any reason to not come back and visit again. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. That is one way they get you in.

2023.03.25 00:21 BadTakeBrian Enterprise Group ($E.TO, $ETOLF.OTC): Cash Flow Machine, Deep Value, Squeeze Potential
| Intro I should start by saying that the search for a company like Enterprise began under the following pretense: I have a bearish view of where I think broad markets are going by the end of 2023 and wanted somewhere to hide out while still maintaining the potential to double my investment under any broad market scenario. Enterprise Group fits that bill. The Company is a niche energy service company that provides site infrastructure services to remote western Canadian production sites for pipelines, construction and oil and gas sectors in western Canada. I believe Enterprise is a fantastic and deeply overlooked company fit for retail investors (like me) who have the ability to enter a position ahead of institutions catching hold of the name. The core thesis on Enterprise is: - Low correlation to broad markets - High growth and 30% cash flow yield - Healthy balance sheet providing ~$20M in dry powder for potential non-dilutive M&A - Share buyback in place to support stock - Unique low-emission fleet of equipment to grow market share - Structural market expansion History Enterprise was founded in 2004, though as it stands today, is a much leaner and higher growth business compared to what it was in the last bull market for energy in 2008-2014. Where many competitors went out of business during the bear market between 2014-2021, Enterprise wisely divested from lower margin business units, preserved its balance sheet and due to its unique fleet of equipment – was able to maintain cash flow positive during this time. M&A is part of the corporate DNA of Enterprise and has had a successful track record on that front. While others were still reeling from previous years downturn or still trying to repair their balance sheets in 2020/2021, Enterprise was able to utilize the strength of its balance sheet and positive cash flows to countercyclically invest into new business units to position themselves for the eventual return of energy markets we are now experiencing. A great example of this is the launch of Evolution Power in 2022, which offers a fleet of low-emission microgrids that power the entire production site with natural gas, replacing diesel generators. In doing so, EP reduces CO2 emissions by 30%, gives Enterprise higher margins, is safer and more efficient for the customer. As one of the few “green options” in the energy sector, they are becoming the first choice for larger oil and gas clients subject to Canada’s “heavy emitter” penalties. Market The large majority of Enterprise’s sales are derived from western Canadian energy producers, with a greater share of natural gas producers compared to oil producers within its book of clients. Though Enterprise profits have less commodity risk than their actual producing clients, the Company nevertheless is derivatively exposed to energy prices (though I believe there are some factors that reduce the correlation that I will get into later). After years of producers not investing into large exploration projects due to ESG mandates, regulations and low prices, the outlook on energy markets looks extremely promising for producers and has already begun to see a notable uptick in production levels that are expected to continue for a market that looks undersupplied in years ahead. More specifically to Enterprise’s western Canadian market, there are some very visible demand drivers on the horizon based on new pipeline capacity that provide a near certain increase in demand for services like Enterprise. This demand is structured within tens of billions of dollars of sunk infrastructure capital to provide a roadmap of oil and gas (mostly gas) production expansion in western Canada. Beginning in 2023 with the completion of NGTL network expansion (gas) and TMX pipeline (oil), there will continue to be major new export capacity to come online nearly every year this decade, with recent first nations LNG projects advancing on the west coast. For Canadian gas producers, the pipelines will allow them to access higher priced Asian markets, where prices are often multiples of those received in Canada or the US. You can bet there is going to be prompt increases to production to ship whatever they can to those markets, given the preferred economics. Financials Enterprise just recently released their full year 2022 financials March 20, 2023, where they posted fantastic results. Rather than do a deep dive into financials today, will simply share some important highlights and suggest reviewing their financials below: ( https://www.sedar.com/DisplayCompanyDocuments.do?lang=EN&issuerNo=00020838) https://preview.redd.it/ogc5c1c9hrpa1.png?width=1084&format=png&auto=webp&s=0fc4acc759557050f871276caaa8ce07de9c66a0 Additional items: - Bought back 1.8M shares in 2022 - Secured US OTC listing to increase access to US investors - Renewed buyback program - Available tax losses of $0.17/share - Purchased $5.6M of new equipment - Subsequently signed one of largest contracts in company history in Jan 2023 Share Structure Enterprise currently has 50.3M shares outstanding, with another 5M options exercisable at $0.45. Notably, management/board were buyers in the open market over the last few years and now hold over 40% of all shares outstanding. This is where I think it gets uniquely attractive for us retail investors. Since the last energy cycle, nearly all of the research analysts that covered the sector have moved on, meaning the few analysts left covering the space are focused on large-cap players and there are none covering companies the size of Enterprise. There is a window for retail to build a position in a hugely profitable company with a tight share structure subject to a potential squeeze before institutions begin to take notice. Finally – and maybe most importantly – 2022 saw a unique trading dynamic occur due to a large shareholder selling down their position. This shareholder accidentally accumulated a >10% ownership position, unknowingly triggering a requirement to file any purchase/sale of stock (see sedi filings to confirm). That shareholder then spent the entire year reducing their position below 10% but because there was not a large float of shares trading hands, effectively put a ceiling on the stock the entire year and single-handedly compressed the multiple. This does not appear to have been done with ill intent but explains why the stock bounced between a floor of around $0.38 (supported by the buyback) and $0.42 (where the shareholder was selling) despite everything going right for the company operationally. In January, the company bought back the final tranche of shares needed to get that shareholder below the 10% threshold, thereby clearing the way for share price to better track the improving cash flow of the company. Valuation Enterprise is currently trading at a deeply discounted valuation and historically low multiple, which is ironic considering this may be the best market they've ever operated in. As a particular point of reference, a comparison below for the 2020-2022 periods for EV/EBITDA and some other metrics that could influence the deserved multiple such as growth, profitability, and credit risk. I’ve also already listed a few reasons to be bullish on their future market (pipelines coming online beginning this year), which is consistent with management’s outlook from their MD&A that “…customers have indicated they will continue to operate at increased activities through the remainder of the year”. Though a 10-11x multiple shouldn't be expected moving forward, you can see the impact of having a large shareholder exiting with a small float and how a lack of share price movement can lose investor attention. Over the course of a year, Enterprise added over $5M in EBITDA (+175%) and barely saw its valuation change at all! *2022 year using current share price At a current 4.2x EV/EBITDA, Enterprise is trading far below the 6x it has traded in previous cycles and which seems very reasonable as a base case scenario. It would take very little notional buying for that re-rate to occur and for those able to establish a position at these prices, it would represent a 74% return. https://preview.redd.it/vhxfi754orpa1.png?width=867&format=png&auto=webp&s=c5e4b94325c510a57a9de0cf6caae70915db4f4d Finally, if Enterprise is seen through a different valuation lens , the company just released in their earnings that equity holders would be due $0.68/share ($0.39 current share price) if the company simply sold all of their equipment at book value. Multiple arguments to show that Enterprise is undervalued. Outlook Enterprise has a strong outlook on market fundamentals to support top line growth, increasing pricing power to maintain/increase margins and new revenue potential coming online with equipment additions. Given history of M&A activity, balance sheet flexibility and the fact some targets are still not fully recovered from 2014-2021 period, it would be very surprising if the company did not make one or more acquisitions in the near-future. Management has said as much on their recent twitter spaces interview. Fortunately for equity holders, management does not have to dilute shareholders while its equity remains undervalued. With $20M in unused credit at their disposal (their current market cap), they would have the ability to make a material acquisition without needing any equity at all. Even if they were to make an even larger acquisition, their debt providers are Ninepoint Partners (via Waygar Capital), who are home to none other than Eric Nuttall, who is the largest and most bullish energy fund manager on earth. You can bet that if the right target came along with the right assets/cash flow, Ninepoint would be more than happy to increase the size of that facility if they aren’t able to secure some seller's financing. If we assume a slight liquidity discount on a PrivateCo acquisition, $20M at 3x EV/EBITDA could buy around $6-7M of incremental EBITDA, effectively doubling the “cash flow” of the company before considering any synergies. Prospect of cross-selling new rental equipment would be high. If something like this came to pass and they grew to a $15M EBITDA business, there would undoubtedly be a whole new supply of small institutions that would be interested and could be an attractive buyout candidate for private equity, who they’re currently competing with for acquisitions. Risk Commodity Risk: This being the most obvious risk to the company. If we were to go back to the dark ages (2014-2021), there would be a material impact on Enterprise financials. I believe commodity risk for Enterprise is mitigated for 3 reasons: 1) A decade of underinvestment in global energy supplies has the entire spectrum of energy prognosticators projecting supply deficits for oil and continued growth in global natural gas demand. Continued regulatory hurdles, ESG capital restrictions, end of US shale hypergrowth, and return-of-capital mandates by EnergyCo shareholders make it less likely we see reckless supply additions. Adding to that, we’ve now got China reopening, OPEC defending prices, and US supposedly refilling the SPR at some point (we’ll see). 2) Infrastructure Developments: Canada has abundant reserves, with some of the cleanest and lowest-cost natural gas in the world with a painful lack of export capacity. A number of pipeline and LNG export facilities are set to come online, incentivizing a production increase to fill that pipeline. To me, this is the most powerful reason why I believe Enterprise has much lower commodity risk and has been repeated by recent research put out by RBC on the prospects of NE BC natural gas outlook. 3) Tier 1 Client Book: Enterprise’s clients are some of the largest energy producers in North America, meaning they plan their development programs with a multi-year outlook that is less sensitive to short term price action. Further, many of its clients are actual providing the supply for LNG Canada (Sinopec, Petronas, Market Downturn: No doubt we are entering a period of uncertainty, with global liquidity being reduced and the risk of recession on the horizon. I think this should be viewed in two ways: 1) Operations: Looking back, more often than not a significant global recession is more likely to reduce the rate of growth in oil demand rather than actually reducing demand. Natural gas is mostly used for heating and electricity generation, making it relatively inelastic as well. Global GDP is also more evenly spread between OECD and non-OECD, meaning growing countries like India will be less responsive to tightening financial conditions. 2) Share Price: Enterprise is tracking towards a trailing 4x EV/EBITDA, with structural growth catalysts on the horizon (ie. pipelines) and excess cash flow available for buybacks. Even in a market panic, it is likely cash flows can continue to grow, providing continued support to the share price via buybacks. 3) Recent meltdown in energy markets had almost no impact on Enterprise share price and would suspect that increased buybacks would be there for support if share price were to slide further. It is the risk-adjusted return with fundamentals to back it up that make Enterprise special within the micro-cap space. Summary 1) Operating conditions look very strong for the company based on energy cycle and the foundation of new pipeline-related production increases in western Canada. 2) Enterprise is a pure-play on western Canada with major well-capitalized nat gas clients poised for growth. 3) Small size and cap structure provide potential for significant torque in share price. 4) Enterprise has debt flexibility such that they don’t need to dilute equity at these valuations if M&A opportunities arise. 5) Extremely profitable with 30%+ cash flow yield and optionality for buybacks or further investment in expanding equipment fleet for evolution power. 6) Significant selling pressure from large shareholder has now ended after tendering shares to treasury in January 2023. 7) A single large new shareholder has potential to re-rate the stock to base case of 6x EV/EBITDA multiple. 8) Equity re-rate and M&A could see this company become very large, very quickly – drawing further flows of capital to the name at sufficient scale or be a prime takeout candidate for PE. Disclosure: I own shares in Enterprise. This is not financial advise. Please do your own due diligence. submitted by BadTakeBrian to pennystocks [link] [comments] |
2023.03.25 00:18 Kobayu83 3-zone Ductless System Question
I just had a
3-head ductless mini split system installed and I'm curious to learn a little bit more about it. When one head is calling for heat, but the other two are not, do all three linesets run heated? I ask because in this scenario, one of the units that's powered off is reading 80+ degrees (temp reading comes from a sensor in the head unit). I went outside and felt the three linesets and all three of them were warm to the touch, even though only one unit is powered on and calling for heat.

2023.03.25 00:12 EMPCobalt MW5 Weapons tier lists (YAML included)
SLas- Never actually used them
Mlas- Workhorse weapons, great at T5
Llas- Underrated, they deal good damage, for a low heat cost
Chemlas- Never used them, beats the purpose of lasers' infinte ammo
PPC- Fun, big range, not enough damage IMO
ER version- unless its the PPC or the large laser you will not feel the difference any time
Pulse versions- Excellent if you can afford the tonnage, otherwise stick to the large ones
LRM5- Useless, get srm
LRM10- Decent, can one shot tanks and VTOLS
LRM15- The ideal combination of damage and weight
LRM20- Fun, but without YAML barely any mech can use them correctly
Artemis versions- They are better, use them
Stream versions- They feel better, nothing beats the feeling of shooting a stream of 30 missiles towards a target a country away
SRM2- Not enough punch, but the damage is there
SRM4- Decent, good dps
SRM6- The good stuff, big damage at the cost of heat
Stream versions- Not as good, you lose the shotgunney feeling
Streak versions- Not that useful since you can probably aim well enough to not need them
AC2- LMAO
AC5- Decent damage and reliable to boot
AC10- The best combination of damage and range available until late
AC20- Put two of these on a King Crab and blow any mech that meets your sights, bonus points if you mutter crab before every shot
Gauss- Great for late missions where you fight endless enemies, otherwise AC20 do the job, slow shot
Light Rifle- Not used
Medium Rifle- Good punch for its weight
Heavy Rifle- Great if you need a lot of damage with low tonnage, hard to use due to heat generation
Machine gun- Good, but it feels useless unless you have two, the YAML x2 and x4 makes them a million times better
LBX10- The ultimate autocannon, get cluster rounds, you will always hit something
UAC 5 - Great in pairs, my 4 UAC 5 Annihilator says waddup
YAML, did not use all weapons
MML- kinda good? Probably better if you are on keyboard and can change the firing modes from there
MRM- The ultimate screw you weapon, if your mech can withstand carrying them, they delete mechs, while overheating your ass
ARROW IV- Absolutely broken damage, autowin weapon
Binary laser- Not enough damage for its tonnage
RISC Hyper laser- No damage, throwing pebbles might do more damage
HPPC- Great damage, big heat cost, overall the best PPC available
CPPC- Might be too much heat and cooldown for the damage
Snub nosed- Not worth it, not when the PPC has no min range penalty
X-pulses Amazing damage while boiling you alive, they supplant pulses
UAC2- LOL
UAC10- Get the rotary AC
UAC20- Get the rotary AC
LBX2- HUEHUE
LBX5- Get the rotary AC
LBX20- Great if you can afford the space
RAC2- You need at least 2 to do some damage, wish they did more damage or generate less heat
RAC5- The most fun weapon in the game, could do more damage, not worth to carry more than 2 of them, maybe if they did more damage
Machine gun x4 and x2- Giga improvement for smaller mechs, get them, you will always have the ammo
Heavy MG- Absolute unit, get them
Light MG- No
Long tom- never used it
What's your opinion?

2023.03.25 00:07 ChoiceBandicoot Gas tank water heater has me stumped.
I find I have no hot water, go to inspect unit and the pilot light is out. Pilot will light if Im holding down the selector knob on pilot position but will extinguish as soon as I let go. So I assume the thermopile is not working and the unit isnt getting power from the pilot lights heat. I pull the burner unit out and hold a flame to the thermopile with a multimeter plugged into the controller end and Im getting over 0.8 volts. More than the 0.75V its rated for. I plug a DC power supply into the gas controller at 0.75V and still no powering on at the gas controller so at this point I think the controller is fried. Controller is the WV8840B1109 honeywell unit you see pretty commonly in tanked gas water heaters. I get a new controller board and issue persists. Any ideas?

2023.03.24 23:32 Ghoul_Prince_reddit Need help, SC A/C
My family and I love in South Carolina, it's currently 80°F outside and the inside of my house is 89°F. We have rented here for 2 years now and the HVAC has never worked. The Landlord has 2 window units in the home but it only lowers the temperature to 78°F. I have asked her time and time again to fix the HVAC as the heat is unbearable during the summer months when inside it is nearly 95°F. She refuses to fix it stating that it never worked so it is not her responsibility to fix it. Is there anything I can do in order to get her to fix it? She has always refused to fix any issues with the home. The window units have ruined the walls, she says that damage is on me and I need to pay for that to be fixed. She won't let her maintenance man even look at the problem, much less fix it, cause she doesn't want to "waste money if she doesn't live in the home"
What can I do?

Back First Next
Memory Transcription: Sub-Chief Hilis, Harvester Squadron #72, Tilfish Homeworld Date [standardized human time]: December 3, 2136 Hilis snarled as he shouted in frustration, “What do you mean the gunships are down? How many humans are there?”
“We aren’t sure! They keep just appearing everywhere! Something else is shooting down the gunsh—” The transmission was interrupted by a massive explosion that sent Hilis covering his ears in the darkened ship. The feedback across the speaker overwhelming any living creature's sense of hearing for a few moments.
“Guard Zweilous, report! Report now!”
“They… they just blew themselves up, the entire side of the road is gone for at least fifty meters, all of warband 7 just… pieces.” Zewilous was clearly stunned, in shock from what Hilis could tell. Even apex predators of the betterment could suddenly fear shock and fear.
“Pull yourself together! Where are the other warbands?”
“Warbands one through eight are gone.”
“What!? That is nearly one thousand of us! You cannot be serious?”
Zewilous howled then went silent as the radio only produced static. “Zweilous answer me! Answer me now!”
He looked out on his view point at the formation of bombers in front of him. Another orbital bomber closed on their position, making a run and launching four bombardment bombs.
That will end this righ— This thoughts were interrupted to sheer horror as the bombs all exploded barely out of their launch ports.
The bombers were only annihilated instantly by their own munitions when interceptor rounds from the planet slammed into them and set them off. The wingmate of the bomber hit by a pair of orbital railgun shots that punched its shields then its core, sending the entire formation of five support bombers to be committed to the void. As the bright green, orange, and yellow faded to reveal stardust left in it's wake. “What what? How are those guns doing that?”
“I don’t know, some sort of new human weapon, it can intercept our bombs as soon as we launch. That is the tenth bomber unit that we sent there only for it to be turned into ash.”
Hilis growled as he looked down at his computer read out, he pushed a button and he could see through Zewilous’s eye implant. He was staring into the woods at a human, a female. The predator moved with supernatural speed, shoving some sort of weapon into the mouth of one of the hunter and it turned his head into a pink mist. She fired the weapon again then threw it at an Arxur pulling a pistol and firing it.
In a blur, several more Arxur fell around her as they closed in. One stabbed her and he thought,
Damn, at least she is done for. Only to watch on in absolute dread for the first time in his life. He felt real horror as the human willed itself to stab the attacker. By his own knowledge of their anatomy, her heart should be pierced and she should be dying yet she spurred on to kill two more before falling onto the ground. He heard her words, the kill count and whatever that language he could not understand.
Then he saw the grenade and shouted into the radio as the screen went black, “Get away! Get away now!" His transmission was too late and the remainder of that hunter group were blown apart by a pair of human fragmentation devices.
"By the Betterment what are these humans? Someone down there will report to me! What is going on?” Hilis was beyond furious at how these humans had handled his hunters with such ease. They did not break when charged. They did not falter when pressed. They were not a prey species and their tactics were failing them.
Finally another Arxur called back, “This is Spearmate Juxxis, We… we have killed them.” “How many were there? One hundred? A thousand?”
Juxxis’s voice faltered and sounded terrified, “We… think…. Nine?” Hilis dropped the transmitter and stared out into the void, dumbstruck. “We aren’t sure how many blew themselves up in that blast but, we only have nine long arms and can only account for maybe thirteen individual scents.”
Hilis stared in disbelief at what he was hearing, yet he had just seen a single human slay seven of his kin in a frenzy and she would have kept going if she hadn’t been stabbed in the back. “What is that they keep saying?”
Juxxis hesitated, “We don't know." Sensing the anger on the other end of the channel Juxxis quickly spoke, "We have one, still breathing. What should we do?”
Hilis snarled, relieved they at least had one captive. “Interrogate it! Get every drop of information you can before it dies. Find out where those guns are and what they are! They keep slaughtering us up here every single time we go to drop bombs on them and be done with it."
He considered his tactics and the moment, then decided to cut some losses. "I am not sending anymore bombers until the human fleet is cleared and those ground guns are silenced. You are ordered to gather all our ground forces and head towards the guns, silence them. You are promoted to Sub-Hunter, do not disappoint me.”
Hilis threw the radio aside and looked to his own Sub-Hunter on the ship, “Everyone we have, send them down, we must make sure there are not more of those humans.”

Memory Transcription: Corporal Williams, Black Watch, 4th Company, A Platoon Date [standardized human time]: December 3, 2136 The Arxur stood over the bleeding human, his shoulder and arm were ripped open. His breathing was labored and the Arxur raised his hand to strike his blackened eye again, “Stop, no need for that; I’ll talk. Not like it matters.” Williams managed through his ragged breathes. He was barely alive and he knew it. He had hoped he would bleed out before they got to his machine gun nest but no such luck.
Williams spat his blood onto his Arxur attacker who snarled and barred his fangs, ready to sink into his flesh, “Cease you idiot!” Juxxis called, the frustration in his voice not lost upon Williams. “Can’t you see that is what he wants?”
Williams looked up, disappointed his ploy hadn’t worked. He wanted to die so he couldn't be made to reveal anything to these reptiles. The Arxur that called his torturer to stop walked up to him. His hands were bound by heavy metal cuffs that reminded him of medieval irons. The Arxur had placed a collar around his neck with two long metal rods to keep control of him.
He was on his knees and found the collar chaffing as the smelly breath of the Arxur washed over his nose. “You could use a breath mint, ya know that? Maybe chew some gum?” Williams gave a glare of deviance, hoping it would spur this Arxur to give just enough pain to put him into shock with the blood loss.
The Axur smiled and his tail swished in irritation, “Funny, human. Tell me, leaf-licker, where is the rest of your unit? How many are you? Where are the Tilfish from that city down the road?”
Williams felt a sense of pride rise up in him. The bodies that littered the forest, the roads, all of it, you could not look more than a few meters before seeing another Arxur corpse. They had accounted for themselves so very well. He wasn’t sure how many they had taken but the number was staggering even to him. “Answer me! How many are you?”
Williams laughed, every Arxur around him recoiled as he laughed heartily, “We were all.”
Juxxis mind reeled at this human, bound, defeated, bleeding to death, laughing at him. Laughing at his question and the answer made even less sense. “There are what, five hundred of you? A thousand?”
Williams laughed more and fell back as a coughing fit took him for a moment. Those holding the metal collar prevented him from falling over. His injuries and the angle of his body making him choke. Juxxis realized his captive was choking on his own blood and lunged forward, hitting him in the sternum to stop him form dying. A chunk of half-congealed blood spat from Williams onto Juxxis's face for his efforts.
Juxxis snarled and pushed his heel against Williams chest, adding to his discomfort without pushing him into much more pain. He was getting fed up and Williams knew it, he just had to keep goading him into ending his suffering. “This is no laughing matter you stupid monkey. Now answer the question before I gut you like the cattle you are and make you watch me eat you alive!”
Williams smirked to himself at the threat; his ploy was working. In his final moments he would betray no one and that was what counted right now. He knew the moment he went down it was a death sentence, no need to give his enemies any ammunition in the process.
Williams took a moment to make peace with his deity and say a pray. Then he looked up at the Axur with defiance in his eyes. “We were all, the ten of us you see here. Yes we stopped all of you cold and fought you to the last bullet. That’s all that were here.” Williams made sure to spit onto Juxxis's face after he finished speaking, going to make sure his venomous words came with a ring of truth to them in addition to never looking away from Juxxis's eyes. He stared into them with a fury that demanded Juxxis give him a chance and he would make sure to take one more Arxur with him.
Juxxis stared down at the human and then looked up at the Axur around him, he could not allow such defiance to the Dominion to stand. He had just been promoted and now everyone was looking to seize that promotion for themselves if he did not act with proper aggression. He clicked his teeth, “Dinner time!” He called out and the Axur pounced.
Williams would only still be breathing for less than a minute. He could already barely see and keep his eyes open and felt his strength fading fast. What shocked the Arxur was he did not scream once even as they gutted him and ate him alive. He instead died smiling at their frustration. This was the part that unnerved the Axur the most about the entire encounter, their one prisoner, died smiling.

Memory Transcription: Corporal Celand, Black Watch, 4th Company, A Platoon Date [standardized human time]: December 3, 2136 Cleland ran with the intensity of a marathon sprinter. She was having to drag the Tilfish after the first thirty meters and now she turned as the sound of battle had faded into the distance. The Tilfish was panting, her thorax inflating rapidly as they doubled over for breath.
Cleland was barely even breathing hard yet she understood the difference in anatomy. Tilfish were insectoids, they couldn’t sweat to cool off and clearly weren’t made for marathon running. Tia’s appearance still made her skin crawl, but she had to suppress the arachnophobia as she was given this charge.
“Listen, I get you are a sprint herbivore-creature and don’t have my endurance and you really creep me out too.” “Then leave me, predator! At least the Arxur will get a kick from my suffering.” Tia yelled at Cleland who quickly fought down her disgust and shoved her hand against the insectoid mouth.
“Keep it down, or you’re going to get us both killed.” Cleland fought the goosebumps along her arm, the way the hair stood on end, the flight instinct that told her to absolutely flee from here. The uncontrolled tunnel vision she bore down onto Tia. Her body and heart beating more rapidly with touching the insectoid and adrenaline rushing through her.
“Alright, listen, I have… I have arachnophobia. Okay? Fear of insects, particularly eight legged ones.” Speaking was enough to make Cleland calm down slightly. Just slightly. “But my orders are to get you back alive and the only way that is happening is if I carry you.”
Cleland reached into her pack and pulled out a heavy winter blanket, completely unsuited for the environment they were in but it would do the job. “Now listen, in order for me to do that, I’m going to have to put this between us or I’m going to seize up okay? I know the fear is illogical and awful but that is what makes it a phobia.” Tia was listening intently, her full attention on Cleland as she spoke. The Tilfish never considered that humans could have irrational fears like they had an irrational fear of predators much less that humans could be afraid of Tilfish themselves. “Is this, fear common among humans?”
“No, it’s well, it is complicated okay? Mental health is weird.” Cleland spoke covering herself in the blanket and turning around to position herself down on one knee ready to rise up and run. “Now, get on top of me but be careful to not actually touch my skin okay? If I freak out, we are both going to die.”
Awkwardly, Tai slowly positioned herself for a piggyback ride and once she was secure she gave a soft tap to Cleland's helmet, “I am ready.”
Cleland had slung her rifle across her waist and finished tying it off against her belt as she starting sprinting with the rifle secured against her hip and side. They were moving now, running at qualification speed for a trooper. Tia was surprisingly light for Cleland even with her pack and gear, the ammo she had emptied, magazines and grenades as well as leaving all her personal explosives meant that Tai was only adding 40 kilograms spread across Clelands strong shoulders, arms and back as the two ran forward.
Several minutes passed before Cleland’s radio squawked twice and she paused, looking around. Two more squawks and she heard the initial radio being turned on nearby. Tia also picked up on it and pointed in a direction. Cleland ran forward to find Hanover and Jellio. “Oh thank fuck, I thought we were the only ones to get away.”
Hanover helped Tia down as he spoke, putting her next to Jellio as the three exhausted ones all laid on the ground panting. Cleland doubled over panting as Tia and Jellio both laid down onto their lower bodies doing the same.
“How…. much… further….” Cleland managed to ragged breathes, the question on everyone’s mind.
“We moved over ten clicks from our outpost, engaged the enemy, and then moved about five back, we should be in radio range shortly, maybe we can radio the situation in and get some mortar support.” Hanover offered, taking out a map of the area and checking his compass. Primitive as map finding may be, in this case, without a GPS system or fleet comm, they had to move by dead recocking and survival training.
“Maybe if we get close enough we can radio for them to bring a vehicle for us?” Jellio suggested with a voice of hopefulness and optimism.
Hanover and Cleland both shook their heads and chuckled despite their fatigue. “Nope.”
Jellio looked disheartened and turned away from Cleland’s nope to Tia for an explanation. Tia shrugged. Hanover reached over and put a firm but gentle grip onto Jellio’s shoulder. “Listen, that caldera has one way in and out after we destroyed all the secondary paths in and trails were blown. The one way in likely has enough explosives, mines, barbed wire, and napalm in it to destroy a city. No, our only way now is to make our way around to the ocean side, which is probably boobytrapped too but at least the Arxur aren’t going to assault from ocean side.”
Jellio’s antenna dropped down and Tia chitted in distress, “That will take two days! The Arxur will find us by then!”
Hanover shook his head, “Not if we camouflage ourselves, cover our tracks and scent, as well as make sure we keep moving away from the sounds of gunfire. So while we are on the way, you are both getting advanced survival and escape/evade training.”
Hanover starting picking up several sticks with leaves still on them to start making footprint booms as well as looking around the forested area for something smelly to apply to their bodies.

Memory Transcription: Captain Neil Campbell, United Nations ‘Black Watch’ Company #4 Date [standardized human time]: December 3, 2136 Neil was standing in front of an assault shuttle currently unloading supplies, with ten Americans helping get stuff off. “I thought you were here to insist we evacuate. What’s all this stuff, leftenant?”
The American second lieutenant noticed the British pronunciation of his rank and turned his head towards Captain Campbell, recognizing him as the commanding officer of the area he had been told about. He gentle set down the crate of orbital interceptor ammo and turned with a sharp salute. “Lieutenant Williams, 3rd armored cavalry. Command knew you wouldn’t accept evac after talking to Mactovish so we volunteered and drew straws for who would fit.” Campbell nodded for Williams to go on, “We cramped everything we could on two shuttles, shuttle two didn’t make it. So that leaves me in charge of the unit, which I report to you now. We have one more anti-orbital interceptor gun getting you up to five. Two dozen stinger-mark 7’s.” Campbell made a note of the personal anti-air light missiles. “Ammo for all your guns, sams, anti-orbital interceptors, and ground to orbital cannon. We also brought a special surprise for the scalies.”
Campbell stepped around the side of the shuttle he had met the Lieutenant on to look inside. He was stunned, inside were two modified Eisenhower IFVs and a Cheetah Main Battle Tank. “Armour? Aren’t they a little vulnerable here?”
Williams let out a laugh and smirked while the vehicle crews continued to unload gear as Sims kept motioning where to take it and who to move what. “Sorry for the laugh, but only if the enemy holds orbital superiority. Right now it’s contested, and we have heavy anti-orbital bombardment and anti-air assets. We noticed on The Cradle that the Arxur distinctly lack anti-armor weapons or heavy armor of their own.”
Campbell could see where this is going, “What are the modifications? Also Americans on a German tank? I get the IFV choice but…”
Williams nodded, “Four months ago, the Cheetah won the combat trial to be the UN tank due to its ruggedness and lack of need for heavy logistics. We agreed to adopt it if we could modify it with our own MGs and use smoothbore instead of rifled. So we switched out the MG2000s for M2A7’s, added an M2A7 for someone who can ride in the back turret balance basket, and called it a day. The Eisenhowers were adopted as frontline IFVs. These are special modified since the assault on Earth.”
Campbell nodded and motioned for him to continue as he moved to help unload crates of ammo and make room to get the vehicles off the transport. “What modifications?”
Williams grinned, “Anti-Plasma layers that cause the heat to distribute across the armor so even railguns that use plasma will have difficulties causing any damage much less penetration. We also added shields and changed out the plasma railguns for good ole fashion solid tungsten. The IFVs have had their Anti-Tank missiles replaced with medium Anti-Air SAMs and a light radar. They also were all equipped with interceptors for AT missiles or slower shells like artillery, the techs say it can even intercept a sabot but I haven’t seen that yet.”
Campbell grinned, “Leave it to Americans, you Yanks do know this is a last stand, you took a one way trip.”
All ten of the Americans stopped and nodded, then resumed their work without another word.
After all the unloading was done, they covered the armour in camouflage nets, adding nature foliage to shield them from being seen, setting up the Cheetah’s front armour and main gun towards the pass while the two Eisenhowers put their autocannons into a crossfire with a distance of two kilometers between them and the tank in between.
Zim ran towards Campbell, stopping when they were out of breath holding up a handwritten series of notes from the communication tent. Campbell started reading.
Recon in Force Squad no longer responding. Estimating they have been fighting for nearly a full hour. BC communications indicate they suffered a lot dead and are in total confusion. BC also indicates they believe the actual force they encountered to be in the hundreds, not a mere ten. There are still two BW's and our volunteers unaccounted for. Rest of the squad presumed KIA. Unsure who should be considered MIA. Campbell nodded, wadded up the note and swallowed it. Zim grimaced and gave a gagging expression as Campbell forced the note down his throat. “Sorry you had to see that, only way to make sure the communication doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. Thank you Zim, back to your post.”
Zim darted off, no salute, just happy to get away from the space Campbell occupied as Campbell took in stride towards his command vehicle grabbing the radio, “All units, all units, to your fortification positions. Any work not done is to be left undone, as much as it pains us to leave a job unfinished. BC is closing. We have no more time.” As Campbell spoke two missiles fired from the sam sites they had setup, one distant explosion indicated the missile interception but the second one exploded followed by an immediate louder detonation. The gunship had been shot down as the ground vibrated very subtly from the crashing impact.
Two long steel cylinders rotated around with two others. They were nearly four meters tall attached to a large ammuntion bin and sensor suite as well as a generator to provide power. The clang of pulling tungsten rounds into position. There was a charge of electricity in the air before the three barrels began to whirl and unleash.
The orbital interceptors fired with a ring in the air and the taste of metal soaked the world around any humans nearby. Solid slug railguns, small portable by a rover but able to fire a slug straight up, nearly eighty-one kilometers. The two surface to space radar systems found incoming anti-matter bombs as soon as they were launched and there were small flashes in the afternoon sky, like mini-suns as round after round stopped any chance of a simple orbital bombardment ending their outpost turned castle. Several Arxur ships were also severely damaged having their own bombs go off right next to them.
The interceptors fired again again, at nearly two hundred rounds a minute, they could destroy bombs as soon as they were detected, missiles too, from any ship in orbit. The Arxur were paying a heavy price and would never understand why. SAMs kept firing, the anti-air missiles finding fighters and gunships to slam into and send them tumbling into the forest or the ocean or onto the Arxur’s own ground forces.
Further adding confusion their heavy anti-ship missiles flung out and hit Arxur transports coming to the ground, sending them on a one way trip to be smacked by a planet. Campbell knew they had limited ammunition but the Arxur did not know that and with the assault shuttle that got through, the Arxur would know they would have more supplies. No if the Arxur wanted to silence these guns and stop this opposition, they would have to take the caldera by ground forces.
Campbell had the assault shuttle moved and landed in front of the only entrance to the cave the civilians were evacuated into. There an explosion rippled through their camp, not sealing the cave but ensuring the shuttle debris covered the entrance and the hole beyond did not look like a cave without moving a significant amount of twisted metal, instead it looked like an impact crater where the shuttle would have crashed.
Engineers rushed to put out the fire and ensure that the cave wouldn't heat up as well as clean air would continue to flow down inside.
Campbell got to his command rover and prepared himself, watching his gunner get on top and prep the MG to go. All his preparations he could do were done, now the waiting began.

My boyfriend and I welcomed a baby in January. He wasn't planned, but gosh, I love him and always wanted to have kids. I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect baby. Unfortunately everyone loves him a lot and it's started causing huge family issues. The other part of the problem is that my family has never liked my boyfriend, so I'll state that now. To briefly explain, they didn't like him from first sight. He's very different, he grew up on a farm and we're all big city suburb people. They've always thought he was a mooch and that he isn't good enough for me. Boyfriend bought all the groceries throughout my pregnancy and paid his end of the bills up until February.
A few months before the baby, my boyfriend had bought a house at auction to rehab for us to either live in or resell. My emergency C-section greatly changed the way my (too short already) maternity leave panned out and it put a lot of pressure on my boyfriend (BF from here on out). BF already needed counseling, but got pushed kind of to the edge. He was having worse PPD symptoms than I was and didn't really have any resources for support. He didn't end up working on the house at all, between trying to help me with everything and I guess trying to make sure I didn't have my family over to see the baby. He asked me not to have them at our apartment as they have always treated him disrespectfully, I tried to set up meetings with them to get ice cream and stuff and they repeatedly declined. If BF is there, they didn't want in. I wished everyone could have mad nice for my son. Then right at the end of my leave, BF and I got into a bit of an argument and I felt we needed to separate for the night. Long story short, I called my brother who lives at home for an assist. He showed up with my dad and ended up getting into a physical altercation with BF when he wouldn't let them come in. This resulted in our landlord asking my boyfriend to leave our apartment but he said I could stay. I was devastated and didn't want to, rushed to get the bills cut off and now I regret it. Went to stay with my family because I don't have a lot of money and needed to go somewhere, I thought I would be comfortable there for awhile to save up money and never said I didn't want to work to get my family back together (BF, me, baby).
For awhile, before I moved stuff out of my apartment to a storage unit, I was trying to use it as a safe place for me and BF to spend time with our son. I knew he wasn't supposed to be there but we weren't trying to cause trouble and were keeping a low profile. The house BF is staying at/supposed to be working on still doesn't have the water or heat hooked up because someone stole the copper piping before it's purchase, and my brother and dad broke his rib in that fight so he hasn't been able to do that work yet. So a few weeks ago, BF had asked to spend the night with both of us over the weekend. I decided the apartment was the best vs. a motel, I had to get stuff packed up anyway. Things were going well, his friend came over with some tequila and visited with us and the baby. *I want to note that I enjoy a drink, but I would never get too drunk where it's unsafe for my son.* I was relaxed after having so much stress in my life, so I went a little heavy on the drinking but BF had his stuff under control. I had called my parents to check in and they immediately told me I was too drunk and that they should come pick up the baby. I got nervous and complied, but messaged right after and said they didn't need to get the baby. They showed up unannounced and my dad urged me to give my baby to them for the night, I said no, and intended to stay another night there then have BF watch the baby while I was at work (usually it's my mom, that was the plan since before he was born). I get BF wants to spend time with our kid, he never gets to, so it just happened to be a situation where he could and I wanted to take advantage of that. Here's where the problem starts. My parents hang out outside for 2 ours I guess. During this, I hear them knocking on my downstairs neighbor's door and apparently they contacted my landlord to spill the beans about BF being at the apartment. My mom had contacted him once before at a restaurant he owns previously and I had told her I wasn't cool with it and it was a big overstep. I'm an adult, she has literally no business talking to him. SO landlord calls me in the morning while I'm at work, I wiggle my way out of that and promise he won't be around the apartment anymore even though I really needed help moving my stuff. I rush back at lunch and tell BF to get himself and the baby out, I didn't want him to be in more trouble. He said he might go visit his family's farm or maybe his grandma in the meantime since the house he's working on still needs all that work. My parents both start sending me messages at work because they think he brought the baby back to the house that needs work. They say they will call the cops in 30 mins, then ten. I'm a receptionist so I'm trying to answer phones and accommodate people in my lobby. I told them to reach out to BF and they refuse. Eventually I'm just like you know what, if they do call the cops, I shouldn't be worried I'm the mom, he's with his dad, and even if they were having to hang out there, I trust BF would make sure he is safe and comfortable. So I call the nonemergency police and explain what's going on. My dad had already called so they add my name to the welfare check ticket and ended up calling me to tell me no one was at that house. Turns out BF went to visit his grandma with the baby and everything was fine. Neither of my parents bothered to contact him. I told them that I was traumatized from all this and felt that they were harassing me at work, and that calling the police was not okay. They seemed to understand. Yesterday, baby had his two month check up, I took the rest of the day off so we could spend time with BF as a family afterwards. We ended up going back to the house that's being fixed up for a few hours after dinner and running errands. We were just going to hang out, have a beer together, but the baby ended up getting fussy from his vaccine and I ended up being there later than expected. My parents call to check in, they ask if I had been drinking and demand to pick up the baby. I say no, but agree that buzzed driving with him isn't okay. BF doesn't want to deal with it and tells me to leave, I ask if I can just sleep there. He's got water jugs and formula, the baby is safe there for the night and was sleeping at this point. Low and behold, the cops show up and ask us to prove we have water, heat, electricity. He shows them his bills for each. My parents are there too, my mom tried to come on the property and they told her she has to go. Probably the same cops who I ha talked to on the phone, they apologize and BF asks what he can do because they call the cops every time he tries to spend time with his own kid, they say he can file an OP. We sleep there, baby actually slept so well, and I go to work today. Neither parent contacted me after they left with the cops. BF calls to tells me that my parents must have reported us to DCFS. He heard knocking and by the time he got to the door, a lady was walking away with a clipboard and a guy with a security shirts. Baby was great when I went on lunch, BF took him to his mom's place and we are going to spend the night there but I have to go to my parents after work to get clothes for the baby and myself. He asked me if I would take out an OP against my family, I really don't want to do that but they are being too extreme. It's really effecting me adversely mentally. Like I'm afraid that if I go back to stay at their place as I had planned to do for awhile, they won't ever let my baby out of their house again. I am the mother, what I say should go, I don't want to put him in danger and he hasn't been. They are making it hard for me to communicate and I admittedly have been drinking more than I even want to when I'm out because I'm so so stressed. I just wish everyone could try to play nice when they have to communicate with each other for my son's sake and that my parents would trust me with my own child. I am smart, I have a good job and college degree, I'm just going through a hard time and this pressure is making me crack a bit. I don't want to cut anyone out of my child's life and would love for my mom to continue being his primary childcare for awhile longer. The house BF bought isn't ready yet but I do ultimately want to try to be a family there, but my parents are trying to make that impossible!
Please give me some insight and advice. I told my mom I want to talk about stuff once I'm more well rested and have hat I want figured out.

2023.03.24 22:24 laurenjohnsonrdh Boiler not putting out hot air
We had our boiler replaced with a 95% efficiency last year. Spent 14k on it. Our heating bills and propane use has not decreased at all, in fact it has gone up and we keep our house at 67 degrees. We are burning through $500 of propane every month + $400-$500 in electricity. The air that comes out of our vents is not hot, warm, or even room temp, it feels a bit cold. I’ve had our technician come out and he says everything is working properly, we have new outdoor units as well. In all we spent 45k upgrading 3 heat pumps/air handlers and a new boiler. I am so frustrated I feel like our boiler is not working properly but I do not know enough to diagnose the problem. We diligently change our air filters as well. We are spending so much money and it’s very cold in the house, I do not want to spend another $300 just for the tech to tell me all is working. Anyone have ideas? The water coming out of the boiler pipes is so hot it burns your hand to touch

2023.03.24 22:18 smudge_pudge_ How screwed am I?
So I am doing preceptor and yesterday was a night shift. My nurse told me it was fine to look through the charts of the patients who were on our list. Well, 3am comes around and I'd already went through every inch of every chart on our list. So I accessed the charts of the other patients on the unit and clicked on a lab report for one patient. But then I remembered the whole thing about mind your business when it comes to the patients you aren't directly caring for, and I exited the lab repot and didn't access anymore information. I was in this patient's chart for 30 seconds max. So am I screwed for violating HIPAA? I realize that if this is a HIPAA violation it's a tiny one, but as a student I don't want this heat. Am I screwed guys? I really want to work on this unit.

2023.03.24 21:33 PeterNil American Standard Furnace with air handler - want to add heat pump for AC and heating
The main reasons are to get AC in the hotter summer months and extend the life of the existing furnace.
I live in the PNW. The house is up to code as of 2006. About 2100 sq ft split level two floor house. The furnace is a Freedom 90 Comfort R. Model # ADY060R9V3W6. Manufactured in 11/2006 and I have had no problems with it.
One installer doesn't carry the inverter models of American Standard (they state it is too expensive) and offered a 3 Ton Bosch 20 SEER, 19SEER2 Heat Pump Inverter System 2.0 Series BOVA-36HDN1-M20G.
I am surprised about the total cost of about 15K with a state credit, considering what the unit itself costs, Google shopping search: $6K. They did not provide any specs for thermostat etc. So, I am assuming the new system will use the old Nest Learning one.
I have asked for a bid on one and two stage units and expect those will be American Standard. And will ask other installers for bids.
