2023.03.15 23:07 Sweetbeansmcgee I watched and took notes on a whole bunch of college bball games this season. I am not a bball expert at all, but here are my observations. Let me know if my take on your team is reasonable or way off!
Arkansas: they have a couple nba prospects in black and nick smith jr. They are a dynamic duo but the team seems sloppy on offense in what little I’ve watched (vs LSU 1/22). I’m noticing they are 2-5 in the SEC, with only one win against a ranked team so far, if I’m not mistaken. So they have some star power but seems like they’d struggle to make a deep run unless they become more disciplined or the stars go to another level. Also a funny little quote from the SEC announcer: “it’s so loud in here you couldn’t hear boss hogg spill a coffee!” Oh, Boss Hog is their mascot, he’s a giant boar. But was the announcer talking about the mascot or the dukes of hazard character??
Alabama: Gritty win on the road against auburn 2/11. This team is deep, talented and tough. Miller is a big, well rounded scorer with a nice handle who is going to be a top draft pick. They have a big shot blocking presence and good shooting/slashing from miller, sears, and others. Not a ton of assists in this game, but their guys got to the hoop well. Some bad turnovers down the stretch but they held on. Undefeated in SEC so far. Game against Tenn will be a big match up. Free throw issues in this one– keep an eye on if that's an issue or maybe just this game. Miller and Sears shoot them well. At Tennessee 2/15: Size, D, and shooting are definitely strengths, and Miller is difficult to stop. One question for this team is what kind of actions can they use to get buckets down the stretch besides just giving the ball to Miller? Jay Bilas pointed out they should use Miller as a screener more, right now there’s a lot of one on one and offense looks kinda stagnant. Lost to Tennessee after some turnovers and stagnant offense late (give Tenn D credit).
Auburn: Broome has good hands for a big guy. They do well in two man game with him. Just got overwhelmed by talent and size of Bama 2/11. I guess this team will be in the tournament, they look OK.
Creighton: Nembhard is a good lead guard. Kaluma is interesting, but still raw. Super athletic but can he hit the 3 enough or handle the ball? They also have a big guy who is pretty effective down low. Struggling to hit threes in this Texas game but I don’t think that’s the norm for them? Noted on 2/11: They've won 8 in a row since the big guy Kalfbrenner came back.
Duke: The big Polish [Filipkowski] sounding guy is skilled offensively . Seems like a balanced team but do they have anyone who can take over down the stretch? Solid guards, but this doesn't seem like the most talented Duke squad. Against VA 2/11 they're showing their strengths and weaknesses, they're big and can score in bunches, but silly turnovers off of bad passes. Filipkowski getting flustered by double teams– how will he handle it when teams scheme against him in the tourney? Also I used to dislike dick Vitales whole shtick but now I find him kind of endearing.
Houston: Watched them come play at Virginia, get down 9-0 to start the game, and not get rattled and come back. Sasser and walker are both excellent, versatile players. Good defense and offense. Team has serious potential to make a run, based on this game. Sasser hurt in conference tournament, but seems like his resting in final was just precaution.
Indiana: Tres Jackson-Davis is big, blocks shots, plus is actually bringing the ball up court. Interesting. Outplaying Bacot 11/30. Watched a later game of theirs and was not as impressed by Trace– they want to have him in a sort of point forward role but his vision isn’t great yet. Nice win against Purdue at home 2/4. Great D down the stretch. Hood-Schifino gives them another top notch weapon to compliment Jackson-Davis.
Kansas: a lot of big players with large wingspans. Could create problems for smaller teams. Struggled offensively vs Tennessee when I watched earlier in year, but have looked good in later games. Watched against TCU on 2/19– Wilson, their leading scorer, was off but they still found other ways to score and win on the road. That ability to win in different ways helps in the tourney. Gradey Dick is a top prospect who will probably be NBA lotto pick. He's coming on strong later in the year and his catch and shoot gives them another dangerous weapon.
Kansas State: No. 11 Johnson def has a wide frame and can hit the three. Not a great ball handler tho. Massoud is also big and lanky, though his frame is not quite as wide. Nowell, a guard, is their most skilled scorer but he’s only 5-8 and I saw him get rejected pretty bad against Okla. St. a couple times (2/25). Still, he’s a good ball handler and free-throw shooter, which is helping them down the stretch in this game. Cam Carter is handling the ball a lot, but seems a little hesitant with his shot (3/4).They are apparently struggling on the road. It seems like a pretty dangerous match up for most teams, but they have some weaknesses.
Memphis: Kenric Davis is excellent point guard. Brilliant passer with tight handle. Fun to watch.
NC State: an interesting team with good D and good guard play from Terquavion Smith. They like to give it to the big guy burns to bang in the post or play-make from the elbow; he's actually a great passer, but lack of a jumper limits him a bit as teams just sag off. They lost the game at Syracuse 2/14, in part due to some sloppy transition D, but this team has an intriguing combination of defense, size, and shooting based on what I've seen.
Purdue: Edey is a gigantic force, though a bit slow and clunky. His hook shot looks pretty unstoppable against most defenders. Guard play seems a little weak, not a lot of playmaking down the stretch from the pg who lacks an explosive first step. He doesn't look especially quick or dangerous, which led them to struggle down the stretch when not feeding Edey. Lost at Indiana by 3 on 2/4, tho major homefield advantage, obviously. This is a good team but feels more like sweet 16 than national champion to me idk. Watched in Big10 final against Penn State and they handled Penn St. well until late, when they almost blew a big lead. Missed a lot of free throws and their guards still don’t seem especially good. They’ve proven they’re legit and earned a #1 seed, but I still have doubts about how they’ll hold up over the whole tournament. We’ll see.
SDSU: Like most SDSU teams, this one is primarily defensive. Started out slow vs Utah St in Mountain West Championship, but then were able to get their offense going and clamp down on D. Offense doesn’t look particularly impressive. It’s not terrible, but they’re slow, methodical, and lack a dynamic scorer. Bradley, their best scorer, looks solid and strong, not super dynamic. If they win, its going to be through a combo of excellent defense and serviceable offense. They’re a deep team and bring in a lot of good players off the bench, according to the announcer. Ledee, a big forward who can hit jumpers, seems to be one such player. Nice combo of size and quickness.
Texas: watched vs Creighton 12/1. This team has three really good guards: Rice, Carr, Hunter. Nice ball movement, decisive, getting good shots even when not hitting. I like the way this team plays based on what I’ve seen. So basically they’re always gonna have two good ball handleplaymakers on the floor at all times which helps in March. What about outside shooting? Haven’t impressed much in that regard but they’re getting good shots and moving the ball around well. 12/6: Also looked good again Illinois with nice guard play. Allen, a key forward, is brother of Teddy Allen so you know he has that dawg. Nice defense making it tough and collapsing quickly on drives. Execution not great down stretch vs Illini– who is go to guy if they need a bucket? Shooting better from outside 12/6 tho. Also just learned they are really good at free throw shooting (best in Big 12). Obviously, loss to Baylor was a road game against a good team, but it is not a good sign that they got killed in rebounding. This is a team that always seemed a little undersized to me when watching, so that might be a weakness against bigger teams.
Texas A&M: Really struggling to score at Mississippi State (2/25). Wade Taylor IV seems like a good point guard who can get in the lane, but the team was generally struggling to get good looks on shots and passes; lots of turnovers. They have a high-rated offense on KenPom but looked flustered (to be fair, it is on the road against a great defense).. Big win vs. Alabama ¾. Only caught the end, but I also watched them lose to Miss St. last week. One thing I’m noticing with this team is they are good at getting to the line and shoot a high FT%. It’s kind of their go-to move late in the game. That could help in March, although the rest of their offense doesn’t seem particularly impressive.
UCLA: watched vs Oregon 12/4. Love Jacquez Jr. not the most athletic but a smart all around player and great competitor. I think if he can stay healthy they could make another run. Also brought back the pg with dreads who is solid and added a new talented freshman. Update 3/6: While this team continues to be one of the best in the nation, a key defender, Jaylen Clark, seems to have suffered a significant leg injury...
UConn: great rebounding team with starting PF Adam sonogo controlling the offense with his Zach Randolph offensive abilities plus 7 foot C daneil clingan coming off the bench who is really good. Guard play is pretty solid all around and SF Andre Jackson plays excellent dee and can score in a variety of ways
Utah St: Started out hot against SDSU, but seem more gassed as the game goes on. They have a little guard, Ashworth, who is a top 10 three point shooter in D-1, so he could go off. Good at moving off the ball, too, so they do a lot of actions to spring him when they need a bucket. Offense looked good in the beginning, great pick and roll game, but they seem to have struggled to get it going after fatigue sets in against this tough SDSU defense.
Virginia: This seems like a pretty typical Tony Bennet team: disciplined, balanced, good D, but slow paced and not amazing at scoring the ball. They play as a team, no big star but bunch of good players. Against Duke 2/11 they've been great at forcing turnovers and making filipowski uncomfortable, but struggling to capitalize on the offensive end and trailing at the half (they ended up winning in OT). They have a couple good forwards who are money from the elbows and good at rebounding and D. I think one of them got hurt.
West Virginia: I like the little guard Toussaint transfer from Iowa but he’s undersized and not a great shooter. Watching against K-State on 3/4 they look a lot better than early in the year (the riotous home crowd is helping). Stevenson has hit 5 threes and their offense looks more fluid. Seems like with this win they’ll be in. Checked them again Against Texas Tech 3/8- they are lookin solid. Stevenson is got it going recently and really gives them an extra pop on offense when he's cooking. Rebounding looks pretty good, though the bigs aren't too skilled offensively.
Xavier: Sulae Boum, their point guard, is a baller. Great moves. Colby Jones looks a good shooter and defender, a good compliment to Boum, who seems a little undersized. Their offense looks good, they are making good passes and getting good shots at Providence 3/1. Nunge seems like a decent big, but their front court depth has been an ongoing concern, according to the announcers. Fremantle, a key forward, should be back for the tournament but his foot is a concern (nvm he is out).

Io e la mia compagna abbiamo in programma l'acquisto di una casa in un centro cittadino proprio nei pressi di una grande citta' con un mercato pazzo e senza controllo.
Abbiamo tra le mani una villetta (160mq, giardino, garage, classe A4 e tutte le migliori tecnologie del momento) del costo di 360k divisi in 100/150k alla messa del tetto e il resto alla consegna.
Noi siamo una giovane coppia con 2 tempi indeterminati, con entrate certe di almeno 3600 euro al mese (+ eventuali provvigioni ogni quarto) e con possibilita' di crescita professionale. Attualmente abbiamo risparmi per circa 90k.
Non paghiamo la spesa (buoni pasto entrambi che coprono l'intero mese), abbiamo un auto aziendale che possiamo usare anche in privato e non abbiamo altre spese fisse in essere, se non l'affitto di 600 euro al mese, le bollette e i costi di gestione di un 125cc.
L'acquisto della casa potrebbe avvenire entro 12/16 mesi o nei successivi 3 anni, dato che il lotto viene costruito in due trance, uno che parte a breve e l'altro subito dopo. In base alla villetta scelta (sappiano che hanno lo stesso prezzo) possiamo anticipare o rimandare l'acquisto.
Ora vengono i dubbi.
CASO 1 Decidiamo di acquistare la villetta del lotto 1 tra 1 anno circa ed entro qualche mese dobbiamo sborzare almeno 100k piu' altri ~15k di spese di acquisto. Questo ci porta a chiedere un mutuo di 260k +iva per almeno 25 anni. Sui tassi attuali siamo tra i 1200-1300 euro di rata mensile (~30-34% del reddito mensile). Siamo fuori budget ed a meno di un aiuto dal pubblico (aka i genitori, che vorremmo evitare) non riusciamo.
CASO 2
Acquistiamo dal secondo lotto, stesso prezzo ma con una previsione di risparmio in cassa di 120-130k tra 2-3 anni. Con le spese ci stiamo dentro e ipotizzando la rata di mutuo sempre di 1200-1300 euro al mese per 25-30 anni spendiamo sempre un 30% circa del nostro budget.
Ora, di sicuro in un futuro prossimo vorremo provare ad avere un figlio e questo ci porta come ovvio a risparmiare di meno durante questi 3 anni ma ce la dovremmo fare.
I miei dubbi sono soprattutto riguardo al mantenimento di una rata del genere per tutti questi anni, ho paura di rimanere con le braghe a terra e a non sopperire poi alle spese.
C'`e di contro che se dovessimo acquistare una casa usata, visto il mercato, saremmo sempre almeno sui 250k per un appartamento vecchio 50 anni e un eventuale altro affitto per 3 locali oggi va dai 8-900 ai 1100 al mese. A questo punto, Conviene rischiare? Ci potrebbero essere altre exit strategy? Avete esperienze di questo tipo su voi stessi?

Acquistiamo dal secondo lotto, stesso prezzo ma con una previsione di risparmio in cassa di 120-130k tra 2-3 anni. Con le spese ci stiamo dentro e ipotizzando la rata di mutuo sempre di 1200-1300 euro al mese per 25-30 anni spendiamo sempre un 30% circa del nostro budget.
Ora, di sicuro in un futuro prossimo vorremo provare ad avere un figlio e questo ci porta come ovvio a risparmiare di meno durante questi 3 anni ma ce la dovremmo fare.
I miei dubbi sono soprattutto riguardo al mantenimento di una rata del genere per tutti questi anni, ho paura di rimanere con le braghe a terra e a non sopperire poi alle spese.
C'`e di contro che se dovessimo acquistare una casa usata, visto il mercato, saremmo sempre almeno sui 250k per un appartamento vecchio 50 anni e un eventuale altro affitto per 3 locali oggi va dai 8-900 ai 1100 al mese. A questo punto, Conviene rischiare? Ci potrebbero essere altre exit strategy? Avete esperienze di questo tipo su voi stessi?

L'azione è ambientata nel remotissimo futuro del 2007 e comincia con l'avvistamento di un "Piatto Volante" a Des Moines, in Iowa. Diversi agenti segreti mandati sul posto non generano un rapporto che abbia senso e il Vecchio, capo dei Servizi, decide di andare di persona con i suoi due agenti migliori, Sam e Mary (nomi fittizi: in realtà rispettivamente Elihu e Allucquere). Vale la pena notare che Sam è arrapatissimo dal primo momento in cui vede Mary e questa sarà la romance del libro. Della sua rampante misoginia parlerò dopo! Intanto grazie alla loro arguzia e determinazione scoprono un parassita alieno, simile a una grossa lumaca, che si impadronisce dei corpi umani attaccandosi alle loro spalle e controllandoli in toto. Non riescono però a convincere il Presidente degli Stati Uniti a dichiarare lo stato di emergenza e devono tornare per ottenere più prove: è nel corso di questa missione che Sam viene posseduto. Il sovvertimento delle regole sociali è gustosissimo e l'autore ci gioca sopra più e più volte rimarcando l'assurdità della situazione. Riassumere tutte le vicissitudini della guerra contro gli alieni sarebbe lunghissimo e non lo farò, basti dire che la vittoria dell'umanità passerà attraverso la scoperta del modo in cui si riproducono gli alieni e l'ideazione di un piano di guerra batteriologica (usando una malattia "venerea" nel senso che viene letteralmente da Venere!) che sfrutti quella caratteristica. Posso dire però che vi sono momenti di assoluta disperazione risolti con colpi di genio a volte davvero sorprendenti (di solito vengono in mente a Sam), tanta azione molto cinematografica e una narrazione tiratissima che verte a un finale sì liberatorio, ma anche genocida e vendicativo! Il mondo descritto da Heinlein salta vivido fuori dalle pagine. È uno in cui le pistole a raggi hanno soppiantato quelle a proiettili, tutti hanno auto volanti, sono state stabilite colonie su Venere, abbiamo visitato Marte e ci sono diverse stazioni orbitanti intorno alla Terra ma, per contrasto, i satelliti non esistono: al buon Robert Anson non sono proprio venuti in mente (ragionevole, dato che lo Sputnik fu lanciato solo nel 1957) ma d'altronde non tutti sono Arthur C. Clarke. Tutte le trasmissioni sono strettamente a corto raggio ed è un aspetto rilevante per la trama: gli USA sono divisi in "blocchi di trasmissione" che passano oltre le comunicazioni ricevute dai blocchi vicini. In un contesto in cui alcune di queste zone sono in mano agli invasori tutto diventa più complicato perché possono isolarle efficacemente dal mondo esterno e possedere tutti con comodo senza provocare allarme, aggiungendo pepe alla storia. Il libro è pieno di palesi riferimenti alla "minaccia comunista", con momenti che ricordano, estremizzandole nella presentazione anche se non nell'essenza, le cacce alle streghe del maccartismo. Si veda ad esempio la scena in cui il Presidente degli USA e il suo entourage dei servizi segreti costringe, ad armi spianate, Camera e Senato a denudarsi per scovare i traditori posseduti. Il cliché per cui "invasione della Terra" significa grosso modo sempre "invasione degli Stati Uniti continentali", considerati il centro del mondo "civilizzato", a quei tempi non era ancora necessariamente trito e Heinlein lo segue, ma nel corso del romanzo si scopre che i parassiti sono quasi certamente arrivati anche nella Russia sovietica, in Cina e nel resto del continente nordamericano - Messico e Canada. Ho accennato sopra al sessismo rampante e agghiacciante. Più che elaborare preferisco mostrare, quindi ho messo qualche esempio nelle foto. Ovviamente è par for the course a quei tempi, ma potrebbe rovinare il gusto della lettura ai più sensibili. Basti dire che l'amore sboccia per arrapamento e si celebra un matrimonio in brevissimo, anche se non è chiaro se si tratti di giorni o mesi. Il trattamento della povera Mary oscilla tra "vagamente rispettoso" e "santo cielo denuncialo e scappa". La traduzione è eccellente e il lessico è pazzesco. Le scimmie ("orangutango" e gorilla) sono anche "quadrumani", o "antropoidi", si applaude "non con le mani, ma in pectore sì", si può udire "il pauroso suono raggricciante di due legni secchi confricati" e in generale le espressioni colorite si sprecano ("Dopo sette, al massimo nove giorni di malattia... tela!", "non si faccia soverchie illusioni", "animaccia di tamburo", "ma di cosa sta cianciando?", "anche l'altro parassita tirò le zampette") ed è una delizia assoluta e costante. Il numero si chiude con la quinta puntata di "Oltre l'invisibile", romanzo di Simak, più una Rubrica scientifica che parla di cosmologia e presenta diverse teorie riguardanti l'origine dell'universo, tra cui anche quella rivelatasi poi esatta del Big Bang di Lemaître, e un "varietà", cioè una pagina con giochi "enimmistici" come si diceva al tempo: cruciverba e rebus. Cách tính tiền bao lô như thế nào?
Như đã phân tích ở trên, cách chơi bao lô được chia thành nhiều hình thức khác nhau nên tỷ lệ trả thưởng cũng như cách tính tiền bao lô cũng khác nhau. Sau đây, chúng tôi sẽ hướng dẫn bạn cách tính tiền bao lô cho từng trường hợp như sau:

Khi đánh 1 điểm trúng 2 con số thì bạn cần bỏ ra khoảng 23.000đ (hoặc 22.000đ) nếu trúng, số tiền trúng là 27.000đ đối với xổ số truyền thống, còn nếu đánh lô trên web nhà cái thì tiền thưởng tương ứng. có thể là 70.000đ và 99.000đ. Số tiền thưởng sẽ khác nhau tùy thuộc vào trang web cá cược.
Công thức tính bao lô miền Bắc như sau:

West Va and honestly I think they win by a td. Kedon Slovis played highschool ball in Arizona , part of the reason he transitioned well as a true freshman is that he was playing in a familiar system. This will be a learning curve for him, unfortunately when he transferred he was under the impression it would be him playing in a whipple offense, instead Narduzzi has made it perfectly clear this offseason he hates the forward pass and will make a more direct effort to run the ball. New OC, new Wr coach , new wr core. West VA had a horrible offense last year but still never quit on Neal Brown , they will be the most improved offense in the big 12 and hit the lotto twice with getting Graham Harrell and JT. The line isn’t wrong but I do believe WVU is the better team.

Year 2516, September 19th. HFAX Shipyard 661 orbiting New Nevada.
Rick, HFAX Shipyard 661’s resident camera watching guard POV.
I rubbed my tired eyes and pretended to flick through the many channels that I was supposed to be watching. Pretending to work hard is the key to making it through these monotonous days. This job would have been shoveled off to a capable AI if it wasn't for that stupid Man-Machine Accord.
Why they felt that Humans needed to participate in watching surveillance footage actively…I’ll never know. On the other hand, it’s not like AI doesn’t know everything we are already doing.
However, my mind and eyes were drawn to the portable data pad that I expertly placed in the surveillance room. Thanks to having access to all those cameras, I could also find all the dead zones, and dead zones were the perfect places actually to have a little enjoyment.
But it also brought a certain level of pain.
The screen displayed the parade that was taking place on the surface. It showed all the people…having fun…enjoying corn dogs and soda, and everything else that I would instead be eating. Everyone was smiling and having a damn good time watching soldiers marching and military equipment getting paraded around. My friends and family would be down there…having fun… without me.
All because I lost the damn lotto.
“You are distracted. Focus on the task at hand,” the automatic voice rang out in my pod.
The irony of this does not escape me. At least fifty of us were watching the surveillance cameras, and while we were watching those, we were being watched by an AI watching us watch the cameras. So why are politicians like this? What is the damn point?
It’s not like AI can’t do this job. I mean, come on…we trust AI to guide spaceships with people on board. Hell, even the damn military has a ship that uses an AI to breach other ships!
This is truly the worst thing ever.
I continued to scan through the network when I noticed a ping on my message board. I eyed my pad until the message prompt opened, and I got a lovely photo of my little brother sent by Mom. He was adorable, and when my shift was over, I looked forward to spending the rest of the day with him. I may miss out on the parade but…it is what it is.
Hopefully, I don’t get caught. The device that lets me get pings and messages while on duty is super illegal, and I’ll have my nuts plastered to a wall for it. But everyone uses it, so it shouldn’t be a big deal…
Somebody knocked on my door, and I felt my heart sink. Please…Karma…don’t do this to me. I got up and slapped my hand against the scanner. The heavy metal door slid open with a hiss, and relief washed over me like a tropical wave.
“What’s up, Connor?” I asked my friend.
He shrugged. “Nothing. Command wants you out of the pod and in the main room. Your attentiveness score took a spike.”
I clicked my tongue. “Damn…that was quick,” I groaned.
Connor let out a hearty laugh and peered into the room behind me. He shook his head upon seeing my extra data pad displaying the parade. “Come on, man…if you are going to do it, you gotta do it right. Move through the channels at a more regular pace and all that jazz.”
“I know,” I told him.
“Well, go sit your butt into a chair for the next four hours before you get into actual trouble,” Connor said, patting me on the shoulder and walking into the pod.
“Yeah…”
I heeded my friend’s advice and didn’t bother making any stops at the Command Room. Why they called it a Command Room, I’ll never know. They aren’t really commanding anything…just…watching us watch things. Pretty sure the only time this place does anything is during emergencies, which rarely happens.
The AIs and maintenance crews do all the hard work in the dock, so shouldn’t they be over there with them? Isn’t making sure their precious capital ships are being appropriately maintained more important? Surely it’s more critical than ensuring a bunch of underpaid soldiers are watching cameras.
I…relax, Rick. Relax…no need to get worked up over this. One more year of service and then it’s all over.
The door to the Command Center was oversized in every possible metric and completely useless as far as I was concerned. If somebody had the skills to get here this hunk of metal wasn’t going to slow them down at all. I mean, we didn’t even have armed guards! Ah…thank you. At least I get to work beside somebody that doesn’t make me want to jump out of the airlock.
“How’s it hanging, Valorie,” I asked her while sitting down.
“Ah, you know how it is. Rather be planetside than up here,” she said with a sigh.
“Ain’t that the truth…” I groaned.
She leaned over and gave me a playful smile. “Heard the AI caught you. Good work, idiot.”
I scoffed and returned her smile. “Uh-huh… remind me, how long have you been on main room duty again?”
Valorie gave me an irked look and began tapping away at her datapad. “Annoying…”
She can always dish it but never take it. Well…maybe this isn’t going to be such a nice day.
I looked over at her, and she had her face up to the monitor. She narrowed her eyes and looked over at me with a confused look. “Hey…doesn’t this look kinda funny?” she pointed out.
She was pointing to a video of me walking into the Command Room. I sat there for a good few seconds and tried to discern what she meant…but I couldn’t see anything. Then it clicked. “Are you pointing at me? Val, I’ve been here for two minutes… are—”
“No, no…I’m being serious,” she said while pointing at the screen with her finger. “Like…somebody is right behind you.”
I flicked around to look behind me, and of course…nobody was.
Valorie was laughing so hard she was snorting. “Little miss piggy,” I spat. “You are going to get me roped into this place forever at this rate. Can you just do your damn job?”
Valorie waved her hands defensively while continuing to laugh. “Oh…so sorry, Mister Serious. It was just a joke.”
Ah…but my earlier question wasn’t? Talk about annoying…
Everyone else was watching us from the corner of their eyes. I caught a few of them snickering at me, but I paid them no mind. In all honesty, I didn’t hate a single one of my co-workers. We got on each other’s bad sides from time to time, but nothing serious. It was moments like these that really helped curb the boredom and monotony this place can implant inside of you.
I flicked through more channels and mindlessly watched the docks. All of them had been emptied and combined into one ginormous dock to make room for the Dreadnought. “Have they decided what they are going to do with this thing? It’s sort of just taking up space,” I asked no one in particular.
“Pretty sure they agreed to strip the thing. It was supposed to be in the parade, but something was wrong with the low orbit thrusters? Or some crap like that,” Val answered.
It took dozens of cameras to capture the true size of this black behemoth. The sleek armored edges. A rail gun big enough to level half a continent. I mean, for crying out loud, it wasn’t even fully docked in the station; it was so big.
How many hours, money, and lives did it take to build this thing? There was one for every fleet, and I’m not even sure how many fleets there were in total…thirty at least? Imagine five or six of these parking outside your planet*. Well…nothing to worry about anymore I guess.*
Now, this space monstrosity was going to be reduced to scrap. The end of an era…I suppose.
“Warning. Warning. Multiple warp jumps detected. Warning—” The automated warning system continued to spew out the same message as people began to panic slightly.
The automated system only ever did this for unauthorized jumps. It could be anyone really. Hell, this wouldn’t be the first time a merchant ship jumped to the wrong port and set the AI off. But despite this, it still got people on edge.
It even got my heart beating a little faster.
The doors to the Command Center slid open, and in walked Rear Admiral Nether. He was a simple man and if anything, I was sort of glad he was our Commanding Officer. He was a laid-back kinda guy, riding out the end of his career on our shipyard. You always knew what kind of mood he would be in, which was a massive plus.
As long as you didn’t bother him, he rarely bothered you. It was a good balance…however…when it was time to get serious, Rear Admiral Nether was not afraid to put on his big boy pants. But he could have at least done a better job not tracking any toilet paper behind him.
The entire room stood at attention. “At ease, everyone. Status report Petty Officer Ortiz,” he asked.
I always hated how she got promoted to Petty Officer before me. She only saw one active-duty battle, which was the war's end. Barely even a skirmish…
“Sir, preliminary scans show one ship coming out of warp!” Val told him.
“Warrant Officer Finnegan, hail the ship once it exits warp,” Nether ordered.
Finnegan replied with a “Yes, sir,” and we all sat back down in our chairs. It was these crucial first few moments that got the blood pumping. Even though we knew it wasn’t a military vessel coming through warp as it was too small, you could never be sure.
I’ve heard plenty of stories of suicidal pirates who were on the run. They jump into a controlled system, scream that they have hostages over the comms, sometimes we blow them up, and sometimes we don’t. Sort of just depends…I guess.
Admiral Nether seems like the fire first, ask questions later kinda officer.
We all watched the screens with bated breath. The atmosphere in the room was thick with sweat and the smell of roasted coffee for some reason. I licked my lips in anticipation as the tell-tale signs of a warp point began to show.
The vacuum of space bent and warped, almost like some kind of interdimensional monster was trying to rip a hole into reality. Then a ship showed up… a very underwhelming ship.
Oh, thank God it’s just a merchant ship.
“This is Warrant Officer Finnegan of Shipyard 661 of the Human Federation hailing unidentified merchant vessels. Why did you miss your warp jump?” Finnegan spoke into the microphone.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
Huh?
The room was so silent you could probably hear everyone’s individual heartbeat. I’ve been doing this for seven years, and never once have I had a ship just exit warp and demand surrender. I mean…this might be a shipyard, but we have fighters and a full host of weapon systems. The entire station is also shielded, and we have a fleet of ships in orbit. It’s almost a fortress.
“Uh…Sir?” Finnegan questioned, confusion evident on his face.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
Nether looked confused as he pondered the meaning behind that request. Perhaps he wasn’t wondering less about the meaning or more if he was going to blast this unfortunate ship to smithereens. “I’ll take over from here,” he told us.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
An automated message?
Nether tapped the space in front of him, and the data pad only he could see had become active. He cleared his throat and was about to speak until he was interrupted. “Sir! That thing’s energy level is forty times over the legal limit for a ship that size!” one of the officers yelled.
Forty times? That’s…just not possible. What is it…a bomb?
“Sir, no life forms detected on pings!” someone else shouted.
Admiral Nethers gestured his hand wide. “Train all weapon systems on the target. I don’t even want scrap left after we are done,” Nethers ordered.
And just like that, we went from watching cameras to directing the station’s weapons. The AI had already done the aiming for us and all it took was a few button presses—
The lights flickered for a moment, and all the systems flashed. “Sir, we just got hit by an EMP! The station is still functional! All systems are at 85% and already going back up!” someone relayed.
“An EMP? We are shielded, and we have backup batteries just in case…anyone with half a brain would know that,” Nether grumbled.
I looked back to the screen showing the merchant vessel as it was being annihilated by a barrage of laser, kinetic, and missile fire. And just like that…the ship was all but gone. Only metal dust and small pieces of the vessel floated in the vacuum of space.
“Relay this incident to New Nevada and the surrounding ships immediately,” Nether commanded.
“Sir, our comms network is down.”
Nether didn’t even miss a beat as he looked at Val and me. “Use the Stormspike’s onboard communications relay instead. It was inside the shields, so it should be functioning.”
I set to work immediately and connected to the Stormspike’s systems. I just gotta put in the access code and—uh…”Hey, Val…can you connect?” I asked her.
“No!” she hissed under her breath.
I tried a few more routine passwords, but eventually, I just got an error telling me the system was failing to connect. “Sir, I am falling to connect to the Stormspike!” I shouted.
“Try again,” Nether demanded.
This mother fu—…no…just try again, Rick.
Once again, any attempts to connect with the Stormspike were failing. We had been cut off from the system directly and it wasn’t a software problem it seems. “Sir, somebody has physically disconnected us from the Stormspike,” I told him.
Admiral Nether didn’t answer me back, and everyone in the room stopped typing for a moment as we looked at the screen. The fleet surrounding us moved into battle positions which was odd…our systems aren’t warning us…our systems.
Oh…the warp jump detector doesn’t work inside of shields…oh no.
Massive warp points began springing up everywhere. The giant abysses seemed to suck even the void of space into them. I’d never seen such massive warp points ever…let alone dozens of them.
Our fleet wasn’t shabby either. We had nearly seventy ships in orbit for the parade ranging from light cruisers to destroyers. Hell, we even had a carrier in orbit for our fighters. But what came out of those warp points was no fleet.
It was an entire armada, all painted yellow.
Dozens upon dozens of ships poured out from the warp points. All varied in shape, size, and construction…they were all from different races, but it seems Human ships made up the bulk of the forces. Once the smaller and medium-sized ships made it through, the big boys started appearing.
Six battleships…two carriers…and is that…an Elunari Mothership?
It’s an invasion force…the Coalition is really about to start a war! But… all the news and reports said it was implausible! That we outnumbered them twenty to one.
I gazed into the screens for what felt like an eternity. Our forces clashed with the enemies, but it was a losing battle. We were the ones outnumbered twenty to one. Everyone was yelling around me as the station shook, but all I could hear was the beating of my racing heart.
I felt utterly hopeless as I watched a portion of the armada break off from the coalition front and head straight towards New Nevada. I felt numb as I watched it engage with its massive cannons as our planetary and orbital guns remained dormant. My entire family and friends were down there…at the parade…they were aiming for the parade…all those people.
“Rick! We have to—”
Fwoosh.
Thud.
Something hot and wet splattered against my face, and I turned towards Val’s voice only to find her head separated from her body. It had landed directly on her station and was staring at me with wide eyes. I slowly craned my neck upwards, and towering over me was a monster of a man.
Their golden armor seemed to reflect the station’s light, and I felt oddly at peace for a moment. Then, my vision flipped upside down, and it only took me but a moment to realize I was flying through the air. Time had slowed to a crawl for me, and I hit the floor and began rolling. At this point, I also realized I was looking up at my body.
Oh.

Heimdall’s POV.
I resheathed my dagger and began walking back to my squad. I wish I could say I felt pity for that man, but I didn’t. Well…I didn’t really feel anything. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, nothing more.
We wiped out the entire Command Center in a matter of seconds. We’d been waiting on this station for over a week, cramped up in storage containers for the moment to strike. It wasn’t the worst waiting game I’ve played, but man, I am getting too old for this crap.
“Something the matter?” Va’cot asked me.
Damn…she caught me shaking my limbs out again. I may have to get some cybernetics after all…but isn’t it normal for it to hurt sitting down in a box for so long?
I waved her concerns away. “ Nothing, just getting old is all,” I told her. I commed over to Hephaestus and his team. “Reconnect the Stormspike to us. We gotta get going before a fleet shows up.”
Hephaestus laughed into the open mic. “Already on it!”
I turned to Artimus, who was tapping away at a console. “Those old passwords still work?”
“They sure do. Almost there…and…bam. Station shields are down, guns are offline, and the jammer is operational. What a joke,” she laughed.
“Thank the Man Macchine Accord for that one. Imagine having billions of passwords and they can’t be maintained by an AI,” Apollo chimed in over the radio.
Yeah, but we can have entire prison systems run by an AI. Comical, if even a little sad.
I watched the enemy fleet become space dust on the now bloodied view screen. We were outnumbering them to the point it was just an absolute slaughter, and the forces protecting the planet were no match for our fleet. The forces on the ground were being reduced to ash by orbital bombardments while we prepped the dreadnought.
“Do you regret it? Killing your own kind?” Va’cot asked me.
“Regret it, huh…” I muttered.
Regret? What’s it like to regret something, I wonder.
“Not really. It’s just another war with a different enemy,” I told her.
Just another war.

If somebody had the skills to get here this hunk of metal wasn’t going to slow them down at all. I mean, we didn’t even have armed guards! The stupid door opened without so much as a hiss when it scanned my face. I was prepared to salute whichever self-important…oh…
I scanned the room quickly; of course, there wasn’t a single commissioned officer on deck. What a joke. But all the better for me.
Working in the Command Room was usually a pain as a CO was always breathing down your neck. The Rear Admiral never really showed up, so it was always one of his subordinates trying to brown-nose their way to success. But if there wasn’t one, then all the better. Perhaps everyone is growing lax…collecting their paychecks, and going planetside to get thrashed.
“Rick! Over here!” a familiar voice called out to me.
Ah…thank you. At least I get to work beside somebody that doesn’t make me want to jump out of the airlock.
“How’s it hanging, Valorie,” I asked her while sitting down.
“Ah, you know how it is. Rather be planetside than up here,” she said with a sigh.
“Ain’t that the truth…” I groaned.
She leaned over and gave me a playful smile. “Heard the AI caught you. Good work, idiot.”
I scoffed and returned her smile. “Uh-huh… remind me, how long have you been on main room duty again?”
Valorie gave me an irked look and began tapping away at her datapad. “Annoying…”
She can always dish it but never take it. Well…maybe this isn’t going to be such a nice day.
I looked over at her, and she had her face up to the monitor. She narrowed her eyes and looked over at me with a confused look. “Hey…doesn’t this look kinda funny?” she pointed out.
She was pointing to a video of me walking into the Command Room. I sat there for a good few seconds and tried to discern what she meant…but I couldn’t see anything. Then it clicked. “Are you pointing at me? Val, I’ve been here for two minutes… are—”
“No, no…I’m being serious,” she said while pointing at the screen with her finger. “Like…somebody is right behind you.”
I flicked around to look behind me, and of course…nobody was.
Valorie was laughing so hard she was snorting. “Little miss piggy,” I spat. “You are going to get me roped into this place forever at this rate. Can you just do your damn job?”
Valorie waved her hands defensively while continuing to laugh. “Oh…so sorry, Mister Serious. It was just a joke.”
Ah…but my earlier question wasn’t? Talk about annoying…
Everyone else was watching us from the corner of their eyes. I caught a few of them snickering at me, but I paid them no mind. In all honesty, I didn’t hate a single one of my co-workers. We got on each other’s bad sides from time to time, but nothing serious. It was moments like these that really helped curb the boredom and monotony this place can implant inside of you.
I flicked through more channels and mindlessly watched the docks. All of them had been emptied and combined into one ginormous dock to make room for the Dreadnought. “Have they decided what they are going to do with this thing? It’s sort of just taking up space,” I asked no one in particular.
“Pretty sure they agreed to strip the thing. It was supposed to be in the parade, but something was wrong with the low orbit thrusters? Or some crap like that,” Val answered.
It took dozens of cameras to capture the true size of this black behemoth. The sleek armored edges. A rail gun big enough to level half a continent. I mean, for crying out loud, it wasn’t even fully docked in the station; it was so big.
How many hours, money, and lives did it take to build this thing? There was one for every fleet, and I’m not even sure how many fleets there were in total…thirty at least? Imagine five or six of these parking outside your planet*. Well…nothing to worry about anymore I guess.*
Now, this space monstrosity was going to be reduced to scrap. The end of an era…I suppose.
“Warning. Warning. Multiple warp jumps detected. Warning—” The automated warning system continued to spew out the same message as people began to panic slightly.
The automated system only ever did this for unauthorized jumps. It could be anyone really. Hell, this wouldn’t be the first time a merchant ship jumped to the wrong port and set the AI off. But despite this, it still got people on edge.
It even got my heart beating a little faster.
The doors to the Command Center slid open, and in walked Rear Admiral Nether. He was a simple man and if anything, I was sort of glad he was our Commanding Officer. He was a laid-back kinda guy, riding out the end of his career on our shipyard. You always knew what kind of mood he would be in, which was a massive plus.
As long as you didn’t bother him, he rarely bothered you. It was a good balance…however…when it was time to get serious, Rear Admiral Nether was not afraid to put on his big boy pants. But he could have at least done a better job not tracking any toilet paper behind him.
The entire room stood at attention. “At ease, everyone. Status report Petty Officer Ortiz,” he asked.
I always hated how she got promoted to Petty Officer before me. She only saw one active-duty battle, which was the war's end. Barely even a skirmish…
“Sir, preliminary scans show one ship coming out of warp!” Val told him.
“Warrant Officer Finnegan, hail the ship once it exits warp,” Nether ordered.
Finnegan replied with a “Yes, sir,” and we all sat back down in our chairs. It was these crucial first few moments that got the blood pumping. Even though we knew it wasn’t a military vessel coming through warp as it was too small, you could never be sure.
I’ve heard plenty of stories of suicidal pirates who were on the run. They jump into a controlled system, scream that they have hostages over the comms, sometimes we blow them up, and sometimes we don’t. Sort of just depends…I guess.
Admiral Nether seems like the fire first, ask questions later kinda officer.
We all watched the screens with bated breath. The atmosphere in the room was thick with sweat and the smell of roasted coffee for some reason. I licked my lips in anticipation as the tell-tale signs of a warp point began to show.
The vacuum of space bent and warped, almost like some kind of interdimensional monster was trying to rip a hole into reality. Then a ship showed up… a very underwhelming ship.
Oh, thank God it’s just a merchant ship.
“This is Warrant Officer Finnegan of Shipyard 661 of the Human Federation hailing unidentified merchant vessels. Why did you miss your warp jump?” Finnegan spoke into the microphone.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
Huh?
The room was so silent you could probably hear everyone’s individual heartbeat. I’ve been doing this for seven years, and never once have I had a ship just exit warp and demand surrender. I mean…this might be a shipyard, but we have fighters and a full host of weapon systems. The entire station is also shielded, and we have a fleet of ships in orbit. It’s almost a fortress.
“Uh…Sir?” Finnegan questioned, confusion evident on his face.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
Nether looked confused as he pondered the meaning behind that request. Perhaps he wasn’t wondering less about the meaning or more if he was going to blast this unfortunate ship to smithereens. “I’ll take over from here,” he told us.
“As by law, we are required to make this offer of surrender. You are hereby requested to surrender.”
An automated message?
Nether tapped the space in front of him, and the data pad only he could see had become active. He cleared his throat and was about to speak until he was interrupted. “Sir! That thing’s energy level is forty times over the legal limit for a ship that size!” one of the officers yelled.
Forty times? That’s…just not possible. What is it…a bomb?
“Sir, no life forms detected on pings!” someone else shouted.
Admiral Nethers gestured his hand wide. “Train all weapon systems on the target. I don’t even want scrap left after we are done,” Nethers ordered.
And just like that, we went from watching cameras to directing the station’s weapons. The AI had already done the aiming for us and all it took was a few button presses—
The lights flickered for a moment, and all the systems flashed. “Sir, we just got hit by an EMP! The station is still functional! All systems are at 85% and already going back up!” someone relayed.
“An EMP? We are shielded, and we have backup batteries just in case…anyone with half a brain would know that,” Nether grumbled.
I looked back to the screen showing the merchant vessel as it was being annihilated by a barrage of laser, kinetic, and missile fire. And just like that…the ship was all but gone. Only metal dust and small pieces of the vessel floated in the vacuum of space.
“Relay this incident to New Nevada and the surrounding ships immediately,” Nether commanded.
“Sir, our comms network is down.”
Nether didn’t even miss a beat as he looked at Val and me. “Use the Stormspike’s onboard communications relay instead. It was inside the shields, so it should be functioning.”
I set to work immediately and connected to the Stormspike’s systems. I just gotta put in the access code and—uh…”Hey, Val…can you connect?” I asked her.
“No!” she hissed under her breath.
I tried a few more routine passwords, but eventually, I just got an error telling me the system was failing to connect. “Sir, I am falling to connect to the Stormspike!” I shouted.
“Try again,” Nether demanded.
This mother fu—…no…just try again, Rick.
Once again, any attempts to connect with the Stormspike were failing. We had been cut off from the system directly and it wasn’t a software problem it seems. “Sir, somebody has physically disconnected us from the Stormspike,” I told him.
Admiral Nether didn’t answer me back, and everyone in the room stopped typing for a moment as we looked at the screen. The fleet surrounding us moved into battle positions which was odd…our systems aren’t warning us…our systems.
Oh…the warp jump detector doesn’t work inside of shields…oh no.
Massive warp points began springing up everywhere. The giant abysses seemed to suck even the void of space into them. I’d never seen such massive warp points ever…let alone dozens of them.
Our fleet wasn’t shabby either. We had nearly seventy ships in orbit for the parade ranging from light cruisers to destroyers. Hell, we even had a carrier in orbit for our fighters. But what came out of those warp points was no fleet.
It was an entire armada, all painted yellow.
Dozens upon dozens of ships poured out from the warp points. All varied in shape, size, and construction…they were all from different races, but it seems Human ships made up the bulk of the forces. Once the smaller and medium-sized ships made it through, the big boys started appearing.
Six battleships…two carriers…and is that…an Elunari Mothership?
It’s an invasion force…the Coalition is really about to start a war! But… all the news and reports said it was implausible! That we outnumbered them twenty to one.
I gazed into the screens for what felt like an eternity. Our forces clashed with the enemies, but it was a losing battle. We were the ones outnumbered twenty to one. Everyone was yelling around me as the station shook, but all I could hear was the beating of my racing heart.
I felt utterly hopeless as I watched a portion of the armada break off from the coalition front and head straight towards New Nevada. I felt numb as I watched it engage with its massive cannons as our planetary and orbital guns remained dormant. My entire family and friends were down there…at the parade…they were aiming for the parade…all those people.
“Rick! We have to—”
Fwoosh.
Thud.
Something hot and wet splattered against my face, and I turned towards Val’s voice only to find her head separated from her body. It had landed directly on her station and was staring at me with wide eyes. I slowly craned my neck upwards, and towering over me was a monster of a man.
Their golden armor seemed to reflect the station’s light, and I felt oddly at peace for a moment. Then, my vision flipped upside down, and it only took me but a moment to realize I was flying through the air. Time had slowed to a crawl for me, and I hit the floor and began rolling. At this point, I also realized I was looking up at my body.
Oh.

Heimdall’s POV.
I resheathed my dagger and began walking back to my squad. I wish I could say I felt pity for that man, but I didn’t. Well…I didn’t really feel anything. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, nothing more.
We wiped out the entire Command Center in a matter of seconds. We’d been waiting on this station for over a week, cramped up in storage containers for the moment to strike. It wasn’t the worst waiting game I’ve played, but man, I am getting too old for this crap.
“Something the matter?” Va’cot asked me.
Damn…she caught me shaking my limbs out again. I may have to get some cybernetics after all…but isn’t it normal for it to hurt sitting down in a box for so long?
I waved her concerns away. “ Nothing, just getting old is all,” I told her. I commed over to Hephaestus and his team. “Reconnect the Stormspike to us. We gotta get going before a fleet shows up.”
Hephaestus laughed into the open mic. “Already on it!”
I turned to Artimus, who was tapping away at a console. “Those old passwords still work?”
“They sure do. Almost there…and…bam. Station shields are down, guns are offline, and the jammer is operational. What a joke,” she laughed.
“Thank the Man Macchine Accord for that one. Imagine having billions of passwords and they can’t be maintained by an AI,” Apollo chimed in over the radio.
Yeah, but we can have entire prison systems run by an AI. Comical, if even a little sad.
I watched the enemy fleet become space dust on the now bloodied view screen. We were outnumbering them to the point it was just an absolute slaughter, and the forces protecting the planet were no match for our fleet. The forces on the ground were being reduced to ash by orbital bombardments while we prepped the dreadnought.
“Do you regret it? Killing your own kind?” Va’cot asked me.
“Regret it, huh…” I muttered.
Regret? What’s it like to regret something, I wonder.
“Not really. It’s just another war with a different enemy,” I told her.
Just another war.

Another volume and another round of thanks.
So this is it, another volume complete. Volume 5 ended up being the biggest volume yet at nearly 160k words. That's almost 30K more words than Vol.3.I've seen lots of growth across all my current platforms. Discord is nearing 400 members. RR is still gaining new readers, as is Reddit. Man, has Ko-Fi been a wild ride or what? I did have goals that I wanted to hit for Ko-Fi, making a certain amount, but you guys have blown things out of the water. Never in my wildest dreams did I think so many of you would go this far for me. So thanks. So. It's August, and that means school is starting up again. I am straight up not looking forward to this right now, and I'm also in the process of moving, so things are just that much more hectic right now.I also have to go in person to class...something I haven't done in almost two whole years. Now the only reason I'm saying this is that the schedule may change a bit.
BUT...as of right now, things are staying as is. I don't know how demanding my classes will be until I get there, so I'm going to have to play it by ear to find out.
So with the story and what's left. We have today's epilogue, and then Thursday, we have the two side stories. Monday is the start of Vol.6.
I've also finished updating Vol.2, and I'm working on Vol.3 right now. Expect those to go live soon. And don't worry, I didn't change anything significant enough that you have to go back and read.

Un’intesa sul tracciato dell’opera acquisita in seguito alle analisi effettuate nel corso degli incontri tecnici che si sono tenuti nel mese di giugno con gli Enti locali, i progettisti e gli ulteriori soggetti pubblici interessati, a seguito della quale si è arrivati a una progressiva definizione della progettazione
Via libera della Giunta regionale al progetto di fattibilità tecnico-economica complessiva della Ciclovia Tirrenica, sentiti tutti i Comuni coinvolti. Si tratta di un passaggio fondamentale per l’infrastruttura, dopo aver espletato tutti le fasi di condivisione del percorso con le amministrazioni locali coinvolte.
Settantaquattro sono i pareri favorevoli acquisiti da altrettanti Comuni, oltre all’ok pronunciato dall’Autorità del Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale, dall’Ente Parco di Monte Marcello Magra, dal Consorzio del Canale Lunense, oltre che dalle Province di Imperia, Savona, La Spezia, dalla Città Metropolitana di Genova e dall’Ente Parco delle Cinque Terre.
Un’intesa sul tracciato dell’opera acquisita in seguito alle analisi effettuate nel corso degli incontri tecnici che si sono tenuti nel mese di giugno con gli Enti locali, i progettisti e gli ulteriori soggetti pubblici interessati, a seguito della quale si è arrivati a una progressiva definizione della progettazione.
Il tracciato della Ciclovia si sviluppa per una lunghezza di 1076 km, dei quali 400 circa attraversano la Regione Liguria, interessando in particolare 74 territori comunali. Il percorso ligure è suddiviso in 10 tronchi. Una parte del percorso è già esistente e si prevede di realizzare ulteriori tratti di nuova ciclovia in territorio ligure per circa 20 km, oltre ad interventi di manutenzione straordinaria lungo il tratto esistente di circa 24 km lungo la pista ciclopedonale del Ponente. L’opera, il cui valore complessivo per il tratto ligure cuba 31 milioni di euro, verrà finanziata in parte dal Ministero delle Infrastrutture (6 milioni), in parte da Regione Liguria (5 milioni) e per i rimanenti dal PNRR.
A questo punto entro agosto verrà chiusa la progettazione sia dei due lotti di ponente finanziati dal PNRR, che comprendono il tratto dal confine di Imperia fino ad Andora e la riqualificazione della ciclabile del Ponente, sia del lotto di levante che va dal confine con la Toscana, in corrispondenza del ponte sull’Aurelia a Marinella, fino al centro storico di Sarzana. Con l’opzione di poter andare in gara per anche con il tratto Sarzana – Santo Stefano Magra in previsione di futuri finanziamenti. E a settembre si svolgerà la conferenza dei servizi per l’approvazione definitiva dei progetti per poi partire con la gara a inizio del 2023.
“Si tratta di un altro passo avanti per un’opera che ha un’enorme rilevanza turistica – ha detto l’assessore regionale alle Infrastrutture - che porterà residenti e turisti a poter godere delle bellezze della Liguria da una prospettiva completamente nuova. Tutti gli sforzi fatti in questi anni per la realizzazione di piste ciclabili, come ad esempio quella del Ponente, vanno in questa direzione e assumono oggi una valenza ancora maggiore. In concomitanza con questo problema oltretutto mi capitano momenti in cui freeza molto più spesso del solito quando gioco e l'unico modo per risolvere è mettere su off l'alimentatore, tenere premuto qualche secondo il pulsante di accensione per scaricare la tensione residua e poi riaccendere...
Insomma non so più che pensare. Qualcuno ha idee o suggerimenti? Grazie!
