I’m looking to sew some clothes for my mh dolls or find some from other doll brands that can fit g2/g3 dolls. Does anyone have any patterns they use for sewing doll clothes that they can recommend?? I appreciate all the help. Just trying to customize/ restyle my g2 lagoona and just have some other clothes for some of my g3 dolls.

A while back I compiled a list of the essential Clone Wars episodes for a friend who wanted to show his girlfriend the series but didn't want to to get bogged down in some of the lighter episodes of the series. It turned out to be a huge success and I've continued to refine it over time taking into account what would be required viewing for later series like Mando and Bad Batch.
This brings the series down from 133 episodes to 58 and combined with REBELS will prepare you for the AHSOKA series later this year.
The episodes are listed in chronological order with one exception and are listed with a three digit code where the first digit is the season number and the following two are the episode number. While not essential I've also included the Genndy Clone Wars mini-series as a solid lead in to the era and a plug for some holes left open by the series that followed it. But it's entirely optional.

Ive recently discovered that i may be an Enemy of the State. Let me explain.
Ive always been a critical thinker, 9/11 happened to fall on my first day of high school, and i quickly realized that what i was watching and what i was being told were not the same thing at all...
Interestingly enough, right around the same time, i was starting to come to the realization that the family that adopted me at birth, was not your typical family, and a lot of the most respected and loved family mebers happened to be privileged, wealthy, and a lot had government, military, and security jobs. I knew that was never gonna be me, and would always call out the bullshit they were supporting (war in iraq, war in afghanistan)
For the next 20 yrs, i passionately researched the truth, and posted my findings online, from the early days of Myspace, to FB, to IG. The more i became socially conscious, the more i noticed certain family members start to mistreat me and talk shit about me to other family members, to manipulate their opinion of me...
My friends were pretty solid and didnt treat me like a pariyah til recently, when their screens told them to, but back around 2012 or so, the worst i would get is people who would ask why i waste my time with conspiracy theories. To which i would reply, maybe prophetically lol, "if they ever try this shit again, ill see it coming a mile away"...
Which i did. I connected Kissingers "whats for lunch?" Speech, with Gates' parents' involvement inintelligence, eugenics and PP, and followed the vax tech, and who was funding it, and it wasnt hard after Agenda 2030 and Event 201 to see what was coming...
So when all the madness of 2020 started, i hopped back online, to FB of all places, since most of my family and loved ones are on there, and started warning people of the vaccine agenda and how it was never gonna be just "2 weeks". Of course i was censored and shadowbanned to hell, and my loved ones just called me a racist conspiracy theorist rightwinger (even though ive never fallen for the polotical theatre, and expose both wings as the same evil corrupt bird) and, most notably, the lockdowns shut down my job...
Once i became jobless, a certain family member, who ive always known worked for a huge govt contractor, all of a sudden took interest in me and what i had to say...
i blabbed about the race war tptb were setting up, the tech they have that was designed 30 yrs before being released to us, once theyve figured out how to weopanize it against us (cell phones, cpus, social media, apps etc) and how the people had it right during The Occupy Movement, which is when/why the coorporations started pushing this divisive "woke" messaging...
He begins to open up to me about what he really did for work. How he was one of the people who worked in black sites, that they would never acknowledge to the public, until they had served their purpose and were demo'D, how he was on a team that invented the F15 Raptor... and how in his later yrs, was an Electronic Specialist for Lockheed.
Knowing i would research everything he said.
I did, and immediately realized he left out a word in his official title. When i looked up "Lockheed Electronic Specialist", i damn near had a panic attack. There was no Electronic Specialist. But there was an Electronic PUNISHMENT Specialist!!!
So i dug. And found the book, Targeted Justice, that explained Gangstalking, and detailed the lengthy measures used to punish POLITICAL DISSIDENTS.
I quickly, and sadly, put all the pieces of my life together. The people i loved and trusted the most, hurt me in the worst ways (programmers)
In my emotional state, and pushed on by my partner to expose them as the monsters they are, i posted a lengthy FB post, exposing this persons identity and his involvement with a certain 3 letter agency. Which... i know you cant do.
The months that have followed, my phones, email and social media accounts were hacked multiple times,, my car was broken into twice, i was followed and chased on the road, surveilled at my own home, by "neighbors"... all which died down once i lost my mind, almost checked outta here early, and was finally told "when you stop, it stops".
Now that im not talking to others about it, the harrassment has stopped, but ive found that theres a whole website dedicated to this exact thing, and even support groups.
Came here, to see if any of you have been going through the same thing, to maybe find support or community.
Ive also seen, from my 2 months of lurking before i was allowed to post, that this place is infested with disingenuous bots/trolls/shills, so if this post truly resonates with you and youd like to talk more, send me a DM

Entry Log One: Khrakhan Eld, Jukhanian Ambassador to the Human Alliance. Stardate - Human Year 2086.
​
It has been over three centuries since I accepted this commission to work with the Human Alliance, and even though I have known them for that long, they still surprise me to a shocking extent. A highly diverse species with so many different cultures congealed into one staggering mass of a hundred billion strong, settled alongside all the galaxy's different species.
Humanity was, and still remains, the driving force behind the rapidly growing Federations power and might. The strange, gaunt, high gravity race of bipedal apes took the galaxy by complete surprise, not only due to their appearance, but also due to their surprising strength.
​
In barely forty years of their time here, they have integrated seamlessly with species previously thought inhospitable. Planets thought harsh or unuseable, supported massive colonies of millions of humans, and the richness the industries these worlds provide. Humans, as it later turned out, had an affinity for members of other species, and by staggering luck they had a one-in-a-billion reproductive system that was robust enough that they could actually interbreed with most mammalian species in the galaxy, and one or two of the reptillians as well.
​
Humanity's capabilities in terms of engineering surpassed ours in a matter of decades, and due to the terms of the Federation, they shared it with us. This is primarily due to the tribal nature of the race, and they are well known for their petty squabbles and minor disputes, that result in skirmishes or outright wars, but would never come to full scale attacks. Maybe a warning shot or two, a small exchange of fire to disable shield arrays, but never more than that.
When questioned about these incidents, Human ambassadors and leaders would simply say something on the lines of:
"Meh. Local tensions. Pirates. Idiots. God botherers or Idealists that randomly decide to slug it out one day. Just ignore them, they run out of steam eventually and bugger off back to where they came from."

We really cared not. Owing to how the humans never turned their guns on us, we were fine with it, so long as they never got us involved. Everything about the humans confused and amazed us. They had, during First Contact Exchanges, given us reels upon reels of their historical archives. And what we had now was essentially a marginally watered down version of what humanity once was.

Hardened like a battleship hull.

Entry Log Two: Human Expansion
​
Owing to their ability to breed with a majority of the species in the galaxy, Human society, cultures and customs became part and parcel of the Federations species, almost to the point where we started getting cults forming in small pockets on the outer rims worshipping this aspect. Humanity, surprisingly enough, even though they technically were the deity being worshipped by these cults, were the first ones to clamp down on them, disbanding or outright attacking them.
​
Humans retained a lot of their individual national cultures long after their arrival into space. Many of their soldiers still carried blades, swords, knives and other such primitive weapons, weapons that most members of the galactic species considered worthless, or obsolete. But humans wielded these weapons to devastating effect, as witnessed in a few incidents and military conflicts seen during their short time in the Federation.
​
Technological advancement in terms of military and civilian development outstretched the rest of the galaxy by - to quote an expression - "a Country Mile." Human creativity and the natural drive for both an Omnivorous species' capacity for greed, and the species natural curiosity drove them to accomplish tasks and tech we never would have imagined. Humans and their concept of "Percussive Maintenance", or smack it 'til it worked was also something that took us by surprise. Especially considering that most of the time it actually worked.

For a few decades, a long time in human years apparently, we simply took it at face value, and never questioned it. As the expression goes: "Never look a gift horse in the mouth."

Entry Log Three: Capacity for Evil
​
They were not complete angels and paragons of course, Many a time, more than other races especially during the early years, they were extremely aggressive in their colonization efforts, going to active war with many nations over territorial disputes, corporate conflicts or other such disputes. Either they would win by a bare margin, or they would be routed and sent off in pieces.
​
One such occasion was the Tabrisko Incident, where, from what I could discern, was a human Corporation, a private entity separate from the Alliance and the Federation, known as Cybratech Industries, had laid claim to a particular star system. A star system, already settled by its current inhabitants the Hasaki Triumvirate. It was here that humanity showed its capacity for callous greed, and why so much emphasis is placed in society on the rejection of Corporate ideals. It also showed us a modicum mof respectability. When someone was being a dick... they had no trouble fucking them.
​
The Corporation, or simply 'Corpos' gathered a fleet of about forty ships, two of them cruisers and one Ark ship. They proceeded, without orders to bypass most security legislation, bribing their way across the galaxy and arrived in the system of Tabrisko. Two terrestrial planets, one Oceanic planet in the habitable zone, one Gas giant, two Ice planets and one newborn Molten planet. An unremarkable system by all accounts, there were thousands just like it throughout the galaxy.
​
The Corpos warped in and sent out a mass broadcast. "This is a public declaration. On behalf of the CybraTech Corporation, your occupation of this star system is now null and void. You will evacuate from the area immediately. You have a standard week to respond."
​
The sheer bastarding balls of them. A human representative was contacted and informed of the situation.
​
The human Ambassador, a gaunt, tall white haired gent by the name of Harley Alride, had a sneaky, unmistakable grin on his face as he spoke to the ambassador from the Hasaki Triumvirate. "So... what exactly is the issue here?"
The Hasaki Ambassador, Sings-On-Shores, was by no means amused. The lizard like reptilians blue scales flared in anger as he spoke back. "For the third time, we have a human fleet calling itself the Cybratech Corporation demanding that we surrender one of our colony worlds! I demand an explanation!"
Harley simply let out a chuckle, as if he was suppressing the desire to laugh. "Oh? Corpo rats huh? Well they are a private entity. There's nothing we can do to stop you, or them."
Sings-On-Shores was somewhat confused, but more upset and angry. "What? WHAT!?"
Harley simply said, that typical sly, 'I am up to something sneaky' grin on his face that we had become so accustomed to seeing. "What I am saying Ambassador is... That whatever you decide to do with them is entirely your decision."
Sings-On-Shores was astonished. This situation was a full invasion by galactic standards, it was the equivalent of a declaration of war. "But... They are your people! You speak for them!"
Harley's smile disappeared and his demeanor changed to one of seriousness. "Mister Ambassador with all due respect, need I remind you of Federation Colonization legislation number Seven Five Eight, Paragraph three? I quote: 'The first claimant to any star system that has the capacity to maintain any industry on that planet, has full and absolute control of its industry and inevitably, it's defense, is the sole and exclusive claimant to that star system.'" Harley said, and looked at his counterpart.
"Of course I remember the damn legislation! I helped sign that into law a hundred years ago! What the hell are you talking about!?" Sings-On-Shores demanded, his scales flustering between breaths.
"What I am saying, Sir, is that Private entities known as Corporations and other private entities can form OUTSIDE of the Alliances jurisdiction. They can get rich, get an ego the size of a cargo freighter and then suddenly decide 'I am god now, I can do what I want.' and go on a rampage. We allow it, for reasons that should be obvious. We do however... DISAVOW." Harleys last word in that statement took the Hasaki Ambassador by surprise.
"Disavow... wh-?" The entire concept for the Hasaki of private corporations operating outside of jurisdiction was as much a foreign concept to him as could be imagined.
"We allow these entities to buy their own fleets, set up shop and do what they do. they return to the Alliance eventually one way or another, Its just business. But sometimes... the rich and wealthy develop a god complex. And it is up to the normal people in the galaxy to remind them of what they really are. Lest they do stupid things." Harley responded. He looked into the monitor, and visibly closed one of his eyes in a cheeky manner, with his smile returned.
Sings-On-Shores went silent for a moment. As if processing the information. "Understood, Ambassador."
"One more thing..." Harley said. His demeanor shifted again, to a dead serious and absolute severity. "Do not fire on that Ark ship. Those people signed up for a new life, not an execution. There are children on board. We will see to it they get passage to a new colony world one way or another. But the corpo fleet? Heh... Enjoy the salvage."
Sings-On-Shores acknowledged with his own sinister grin, and closed the call.

A few hours later, a very heavily armed war fleet of the Triumvirate warped into the star system. Outnumbering and heavily outgunning the Corpo fleet. As expected, sensing danger the Ark ship immediately performed an FTL emergency jump, and vanished to the borders of the system where, a Human Alliance fleet was casually waiting for them. The corporate fleet was nothing short of obliterated by plasma cannons and heavy weapons fire from a Triumvirate dreadnought and its escorts. Nothing left but salvage and slag floating hopeless in the expanse where a salvage crew from the colony appeared and went to town.
Three thousand people were killed in that fight. Two Triumvirate ships were lost, totaling 600 losses, battleships no less. The rest were human losses. Corvettes, pickets, escort ships and mostly small low quality frigates crewed by 'Corporate drones' and contracted slave workers. As Harley said, 'nothing worth keeping.'

The human ambassadors and agents explained that rich corporations or other such entities would go mad with power, gather followers or create clone armies - highly illegal clone armies - and attempt to claim what they wanted. Human Alliance officers always knew what was going on, and made sure that one way or another, in a fair and balanced manner, they would always lose.
"In a fair and balanced manner." That sentence is almost always expressed with a certain sadistic glee.

Entry Four: Unbelievable Charity
​
This event is in stark contrast to the New Haven Incident that took place some twelve years later. Humanity was now at the forefront of Galactic politics and economics. New Haven was in fact a Bakari settlement and I had been called in to help them reinforce their trade position with the local area and help them along. I was in the orbital station garrisoning the colony when I heard the call to action.
The communications arrays suddenly exploded with SOS signals, emergency alerts and warnings of every kind as a staggering earthquake hit one of the continents. Seismologists put the quake on a massive eleven point four on the scale, enough to tilt the planets axis three degrees, open two new fault lines, slow the planets rotation speed by almost a full second and cause seven subsequent volcanic detonations across the tectonic plate.
Twenty nine cities were impacted and a hundred and fifty million lives were at stake. Before I could do anything however. A message interrupted all communications directed at the local garrison.

"Distress Signal Received. This is Alliance Fleet Sons Of The Dawn responding. Admiral Beckett Gray reporting. Request permission to enter Federation airspace."
I was on the bridge with the station captain helping him organize a response at this time, and without thinking, I immediately jumped on the communicator in a response. "This is federation Ambassador Khrakhan Eld responding, permission granted."
The station captain was somewhat annoyed with me. It was not exactly polite to supplant his authority. I was only an ambassador, so he scolded me for it. "How dare you do that! This is my station! You dare break with protocol like that!"
"Captain Sundaris please, this is an emergency situation." I responded, trying to stay calm.

Before however we could argue this point, a hundred dropships, cargo ships and two planetary cruisers blasted past the station making us jump in surprise as they whizzed past us. Moments later the massive hull of one of the Alliances two kilometer long Planetary Assault Carriers rumbled past the station, its sheer size and speed causing the windows and plating on the stations hull to rattle. Very few people outside the Alliance had seen one of these magnificent beasts, and as it slipped past us we got a glimpse as to exactly why.
​
A strange ship with a triangular or diamond shaped hull, hangar bays on the sides, heavy armor plating with dozens of shield generators dotted the meters thick armor plating. Weapons seen only on dreadnoughts or battleships lined its side hull under the bridge section and more small craft were being hastily ejected from its side mounted hangars. Its most terrifying component was what was mounted at the front - a Spinal mounted ion cannon. I could very clearly see a tell-tale sign of an emitter array barely sticking out the front end.
​
It entered the planets atmosphere flawlessly and we watched in awe as a full army of humans flooded out of the ships hull as it touched ground causing a puff of dust. Two more of these PAC class ships followed, then three more after that, and one more lagging behind with various cargo ships and drop transports seemingly welded to its outer hull followed, all within moments of each other. Two more smaller craft, known as Trade Frigates or Droid Frigates, ships whose superstructure is primarily consistent of communications arrays and antennae, appeared and entered the stations orbital patterns and began transmitting commands and orders, organizing the planets scattered and broken emergency signals.

The captain and I looked at each other, mouths agape at the sight we just witnessed. Not just one of them, but SEVEN? How many of them did humanity have!?
​
"One hundred and thirty four. And still counting." I heard a voice behind me say.
"Wh- Pardon?" I asked, now looking at a human Marine standing in the control room.
"That's how many of those ships we have. One hundred and thirty four by last count, with drydocks and shipyards in Alliance space working to produce another six hundred within the next ten years. As per our trade agreements, one hundred of those ships will be handed over to our allies and trade partners." He said with a smile, handing me a data pad.
He must have heard the voice in my head somehow, or he just simply knew what the question was, probably having been asked it a thousand times. "Erm... Uh... Th-Thank you uh..." I cleared my throat and straightened my shoulders, attempting to compose myself. "Carry on soldier. We will coordinate with your teams on the ground and translate what we can. Not everyone on the planet understands the Galactic standard language yet, so we will do our best. Patch us in to your commslink and we will assist where we can."
"Sir yes, Sir!" The human saluted, then immediately charged back out of the station. Moments later, a new group of humans appeared and without orders, began to redirect communications and show us bodycam footage from the ground.

What followed was the single largest and most grueling disaster relief campaign in seventy years. Twenty thousand ships. Two hundred million tons of medical supplies. Six hundred million tons of food and water. Two million humans working to save the lives of a hundred million people. Three and a half months of work.
​
After all was said and done, as many lives saved as possible, Human constructor fleets appeared with another surprise. They called them Manufactoriums, city sized ships with no armament or defense equipment, but cargo containers, construction drones and building hardware. Twenty two of them. It wasn't a ship in the traditional sense... to be honest it looked more like a children's block building set with giant engines. Big, fat, squared boxes with various patterns of armor plating mounted on a set of giant starship thrusters.
​
They landed on the planets surface and began to, for lack of a better term, unpack themselves. They landed, then a system of... i guess robots, started to unpack the blocky monster. Within hours, the ships had disappeared and turned into organized and perfected geometric patterns. 10 hours. Dozens of Magnamalo slain. Whole generations eradicated. My friend and I hunted the high rank Magnamalo nonstop (except for elder dragon fights) for 10 hours in the vain hope I could get an orb for the handiwork 3 jewel in preparation for me going to master rank. I went from HR 10 to 50 over the course of the farming, and most of that came from brutalizing the Magnamalo in new ways not thought possible. We got so efficient at absolutely destroying this monster that we managed to get sub 7 minute captures each time with every body part broken. At a certain point we stopped grabbing the potions from the supply box because we just didn't get hit enough anymore. I've memorized this beast's attack patterns more than I ever have any other boss in any other game, and the color of his hellfire will be burned into my memory for the rest of time.

I finished Fool Moon. No spoilers for future books, please. I enjoyed it. Similar formula to the first book: Opener sets the theme with Harry meeting an inquisitive ingenue for some exposition, off to a nauseating murder scene, hypersexed reporter, potion mixology with Glowskull McRapey, surprise Marcone visit with a job offer & a clue, meet scary underworld creatures led by a woman, the threat of an authoritative body hangs over Harry as they watch him very closely, summon a mystical creature for information, boobs, Murphy arrests Harry, boobs, get attacked by a monster, boobs, side villain and main villain showdown, boobs. Still a bit too predictable, but I enjoyed it for the popcorn it is. You're a wizard, Harry. So his mother didn't die in childbirth. And his father went out by some other mysterious means than previously believed. Voldemort, you naughty boy. You're a b*tch, Elaine. She did some evil stuff and she doesn't have a square to spare. Looking forward to meeting her. Would I throw up if I looked into Harry's eyes? I wanna see. Murphy doesn't just hate litter. She saves it for later. Somewhere around the time Harry noticed Murphy's "cute earlobes" as she was going about her work, I wondered, "Does Harry have a crush on Murphy?" ..."Do I have a crush on Murphy?" I wasn't sure if I was reading (listening?) too much into Harry's perceptions. He notices the bodies of every woman around him, but he also missed her when they couldn't talk directly. And I like Murphy. I relate to her. Then of course, a few chapters later, Harry's subconscious made a comment that I wholeheartedly agreed with. As soon as Carmichael showed a little faith in Harry's innocence on the question of Harry's involvement with Marcone, and the humorous moment they had, I was like "Oh no, don't kill Carmichael." :/ Made me sniffle. And immediately wonder who Murphy's new partner would be. Harry isn't an officer. So, someone handsome, smart, and just open minded enough to be friendly with Harry so Harry gets all twisted up about a niggling jealousy he has about New Guy and Murphy? Does New Guy show himself to be untrustworthy and Harry has to prove it to Murph, inviting all her ire in the process? Hm. My subconscious wears perfume, black leather boots, runs a 5-minute mile, and got her degree way before I did. The whole bit with the subconscious was fascinating, and reminded me of a redditer's warning to be careful what I wished for because Harry becomes one big internal conflict later. So now I can't help but wonder if there will be more of those little fireside chats with subconscious Harry, perhaps with a few other manifestations of Harry's worried mind. Like Harry's id to his superego. Bet that would be scary. Perhaps a magical intruder. Oh boy. Phrasing: "Sex to donuts." Loved it. The feels when Murphy saved Harry from the wolf and used her DIY bullets. "Fuego!" LOL I know it's Latin as well as Spanish, but that will never not make a Southern California kid laugh. Oh, the menacing imagery of Parker kneeling casually with a blown out knee while making nonchalant murder promises. So good. Also, Parker's team can do a mean type & screen. Butcher paints a picture. He proved himself capable in Storm Front, but this one ramped up. I adored the concept of sensory overdrive as part of the magic experience - feeling snakes rubbing Harry's palms, whispers of natural elements that weren't actually there. Ugh! So good. Felt terrible for Harry when he realized he might have been able to prevent Kim's death, if he'd just given her the information she needed. He was facing a real ethical dilemma there, though. Can't just go around explaining how to read bomb schematics. If she told him what it was for, he would have helped. His emotional outburst with Susan felt like forced intimacy, though. Both for the two of them as characters, and for the reader and Harry. It felt just as hollow as the random sex pit stop in the middle of battle time, followed by the weird use of Susan as servant for Harry's gear-up scene. That coupled with the chat with Mr. Subconscious seemed like a not-so-thinly veiled metaphor for a larger character arc set up for Harry and Susan. She'll play nurse to his broken parts, fill a lovergirl space until Harry becomes a real boy, before having to tragically let her go as part of his larger self-actualization. BEST SCENE The background potion as Harry infiltrated the station, then confounding his efforts to warn that poor guard. I asked for more suspense. I got it. The way monochrome shifted to colorful bright spots as people paid attention to Harry - such a great concept. I was not disappointed when Butcher made full use of it for the moment the wolf locked on Harry. The tension built up perfectly. The guard felt real and I ached for him to make it. The way the wolf painted the room with him was genuinely horrifying. The way Harry delayed using his magic made me squirm with frustration. That became a theme, a sometimes convenient plot device, it seemed. Harry jumped out of a moving car and thought/narrated, "Don't look at me like that." I was looking at him like that, so I laughed aloud. More 4th wall breaks, please. Where are the swinging sweaty dicks? When people get hypersexed for whatever magical reason, it's just the women. Tera was the born-sexy-yesterday trope. The FBI agents all dealt with the same magic addiction making them uber violent and uber sexual, but only Benn felt the need to moan and rub her nipples or just rip her top off for no reason. The other agents should have been striking similar poses, walking everywhere dick-first, fingering their buttholes, etc. If you wanna write weird stuff, write weird stuff. Just be consistent, is all I ask. Just because there's a view, doesn't mean you should look. Harry ogling the young wolf girl when she stretched in her robe and walked away was annoying AF. He called her and her friends children a few words ago, but apparently *she* wasn't too young for him to openly gawk at, and she wasn't even naked. Then his complaining about Susan, the fully grown hot woman prone to throwing her lips all over him, getting in the way of his view as if that were a bad thing. Get ahold of your selective chivalry, dude. Why does Susan like (maybe love) Harry? He puts her in danger without giving her the information she needs (warn a bish if she's being followed, don't just jump out of her car and leave her to the ...wolves). He apparently didn't even trust Tera at the time (though he had reason to), but he left Susan alone with her. Susan plays nursemaid, costume dresser, ego smoother, therapist, sex buddy, and still doesn't know much about him because he won't share. He ogles like it's his job, even when Susan is right there. He's high investment, low return, and large with the danger. I bought them as f*ck-buddies, but as soon as she said something about falling for Harry, I was out. She's also written with all the dimension of a sheet of paper with (.)(.) drawn on it, so I guess I should be glad she surprised me? Hope she gets more interesting. Poor MacFinn & Tera I was really bummed when I thought Tera died. And MacFinn's story was such a tragedy. Really wished he and Tera could chase their litter around that park. Butcher does this dance between setting up his main charactenarrator's faults as impeding his awareness of a larger plot (giving me faith in Butcher as a writer), and then occasionally doubling down on making his character Mr. Uber Cool or the smartest guy in the room when he has no reason to be & other characters have every reason to know better than him (returning me to believing Butcher's really just doing a self-insert). Like when Harry kept assuming Murphy just picked up his discarded paper because it was litter. Were we supposed to think Harry was dumb, just didn't give her enough credit for being a friggin' detective (is it because her earlobes are so cute, Harry?), or was Butcher just bad at misdirects and wasn't giving readers enough credit? Or did Butcher know the readers would catch onto that before Harry and Butcher was just showing how Harry's chauvinism gets in his way again? If it's the latter, then why did Butcher position Harry as the one to break the case to Murphy in the end, as if she couldn't figure out his simple dot connecting herself - especially after everything she witnessed? Which leads me to: Butcher got me, dammit. When Murphy put herself between Harry and the wolf as Harry was finally swinging his silver, apparently aiming her gun at him and ordering him to get down, I was fully pissed. "Oh goddammit, fine, make her stupid. WTF." Plot twist, Denton lives to club another day! Or try to. I totally thought Butcher was dwindling Murphy into a dumb plot device, but he mostly wasn't. Of course she was defending Harry. But a cop would have chosen a better angle. At least he didn't make her a total moron. Why did Wilson bite Benn? Marcone's got 99 problems and not having enough guards by his death pit is one of them. How did Susan recognize wolf Harry? Was it the power of lurv? Someone fire Murphy's surgeon. I know it's annoying to nitpick about medical errors in fiction. I usually let the overly frequent concussions go - people like to knock their characters out and pretend there are no effects or they only "see stars" for a few seconds. Alright, fine. But Butcher gave Murphy an open fracture to her upper arm, with enough angulation that a passerby could see the bone protruding. Likely vascular and nerve injuries. From a beastie with claws covered in dirt and other peoples' blood. She'd need to be in an OR for vascular repair within 3-4 hours tops, with staged debridement at 24 and 48 hour intervals, and probable external fixation rods instead of a plate with all the soft tissue and bone reconstruction she'd need. Surgery likely delayed by all the swelling. And no way in hell anyone would put a cast on that arm at that point - oh hey there, compartment syndrome, fancy meeting you here. Who needs arms, anyway? It's just a very dramatic wound to give a character and then have them up and running around the next day. Also: don't put hydrogen peroxide on wounds! /rant Dear Narrator, Wow. Pretty sure that if I ever get around to making kids, my grandkids will still be getting chills. Great job. Also, just a couple minor details, but uh, the "s" in "debris" is silent. It's "periph-er-al" not "periph-ry-al," and it's "miss-cheev-us" not "miss-cheev-ee-us." Just small things, really. The pacing and emotion however, great. Edge of my seat. Carry on. She began tirelessly working on this project while her lover cased away, forgotten by her. In this obsession of passion she felt nothing more than to make her music of life.
Avarice at this time had seen that his love had found a new passion in which he felt left in the shadows of these noises , heart broken and angry he started to weave the web of fate this put a timer on these noise of life as he spun this web he wove fear in the harts of life he gave them greed knotted in their souls and lust in their minds with this he made his own stephanie with the twining of the web . Now the wound that once stood as a single song is now divided and as avarice sat at his work desk his jealousy festered longer and longer.

Synopsis:
Juliette Contzen is a lazy, good-for-nothing princess. Overshadowed by her siblings, she's left with little to do but nap, read … and occasionally cut the falling raindrops with her sword. Chapter 18: Candle In The Dark
My boots waded through the shallow stream as I led the way, Starlight Grace in hand.
The caverns leading from the well were far more extensive than the alchemist had suggested. As I directed the tip of my sword into the darkness, its light caught against surfaces so high that I had to stretch my neck to see them … but not the tunnel bats that'd made their homes against the stalactites in this vast underground system.
Their eyes peppered the resounding darkness like red stars against a bleak sky. But while the sheer quantity of tunnel bats that'd made their home here may ordinarily have been cause for alarm, I had other concerns on my mind.
Namely, that the water was extremely unhealthy for the integrity of my boots.
They were hand crafted by royal commission for outdoor endeavours, yes, and could reliably step on mud, ash, saltwater and the hopes of the poor, but this wasn't a downtrodden farmer I was stepping on. It was … water.
Mossy, slimy water that dampened the colour of my boots.
And that was even worse than losing them.
The moment my outfit no longer matched, I'd have only two choices. Find a new set of clothes, or use Starlight Grace to conjure enough light that I could irrevocably damage the eyesights of everyone around me.
And right now, I was missing my wardrobe.
“Did you know that tunnel bats are blind?” said Coppelia, humming as she skipped behind me like a girl playing in a pond. “Those bloodthirsty, murderous eyes? Yep, they're just for show. They actually glow even brighter during the day. Of course, you never see them since they're usually sleeping.”
I glanced up at the litany of red dots, neither perturbed nor comforted by the thought that none of them were actually gazing back at me.
Rather, I simply could not take them seriously in the slightest.
“Bats.” I sighed. “Barely inside, and I can already see this cavern hasn't a speck of originality to it.”
“Eh?”
“It's like peering into the mind of a decrepit baron and seeing his wildest fantasy come to fruition.”
“Barons dream about bats?”
“The ones who have not received an invitation to attend a soirée in years, yes.”
I sadly shook my head.
For all their teeth, wings and claws, bats occupied a different category in my mind than heralds of the night.
To some, they were low-tier monsters fit for training new adventurers and soldiers. To me, they were a fashion statement. And a poor one, at that. Far too many nobles sought to decorate their middling towers and keeps with bats of all varieties, hoping the time-tested mystique would somehow mask the very public decline of their family lineage.
It never did.
The irony, of course, is that any noble house's fall from grace was due to this lack of familiarity with contemporary home design. Why, I had no doubt that if this cavern were put to auction, irrelevant nobles would paw at each other to make this their new villainous hideout from which to plan the usurping of my father's throne.
“Well, if you don't like bats, what about strangler crabs?”
Coppelia pointed ahead of us. A pair of deathly black pincers were briefly sighted, before they disappeared to a chorus of scuttling movement.
“Uninspired,” I replied.
“Decrepit barons stopped using them as pets ages ago, huh?”
“What? No, they still do. They simply taste awful as well.”
“... You've eaten strangler crabs before? The monster variety? Not the, 'Hey kids, Papa's going to teach you about fishing today,' kind?”
“Bland and flavourless. With a mucous-like texture. Highly do not recommend.”
I shuddered as I recalled the scene. There were many things I wanted for my 7th birthday. A horse-drawn carriage in the shape of an open seashell. A choir of my playmates singing my praises for being born wealthier than them. A fireworks display of me sitting cross-legged on a throne while laughing down at the assembled masses ...
Well, actually, I did get all of those things.
But I also got a buffet of the most strangest crustacean. What's more, it was still moving. And it's pincers were very sharp, indeed.
And that's the story of how I survived my 19th assassination attempt, aged 7.
The strangler crab tasted terrible afterwards.
“And water slimes … ?” queried Coppelia, pointing at a particularly reflective section of the wall. “Have you ever … ?”
Upon closer inspection, the shimmering of movement could clearly be seen, as could the mucus trailing behind. Only by purposefully directing my sword away could the form of the water slime be viewed, still partially aglow from the light as it half-crawled, half-bounced away from us.
I stopped, then set my frown directly at Coppelia's inquisitiveness. Predictably, she was already looking highly amused even before I gave my response.
“... Gastronomy was in a highly experimental phase at the time ...”
“It sounds like you've quite a robust palette.”
“Robust, no. Black, yes.”
Sadly, the world of gourmet dining wasn't built on stability. It was on constantly sprinting so that the quicksand wouldn't envelop you. And sometimes, those competing had no time to run. They simply had to leap.
Hence … Steak au slime was invented.
It did not last.
“You've … eaten all these things?” said the alchemist, staring at me in wonder. “Incredible! Although you appear very refined, in truth, you live off the land as much as even the most seasoned adventurer, don't you?”
I had a feeling that this woman was perhaps grossly misinterpreting how I came to be fed steak au slime.
Naturally, I nodded and accepted the praise.
“I … I suppose, by definition, yes, I certainly have lived off the creatures of this land!”
I gave a small cough and hurried ahead, valiantly ignoring both the creeping darkness and the sight of Coppelia hiding her laughter.
“I hope we find what we're looking for,” said the alchemist, somewhat absent-mindedly as she trudged along behind us. “Although right now, I'm mostly hoping that nothing worse than a water slime appears before us.”
Coppelia's sigh practically echoed around us.
“Now, if this was Ouzelia, what you just said would pretty much guarantee something dreadful will be waiting down here.”
“Huh?”
“Rules work differently in the Northern Realm. The power of stories is prevalent in every facet of life, but most often when we're courting jeopardy.”
“I … I see! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to invite peril.”
“Oh, it's fine. Peril makes things more fun.”
“What?”
“What?”
The clockwork doll and the alchemist blinked at each other, each wearing vastly contrasting expressions.
Their conversation ended.
… For a short time, at least.
“Hmm, the water slimes aren't biting, are they?” said Coppelia cheerfully. “Shame, I imagine they're pretty hydrating. Great if you find yourself in a desert. They're like a bouncing oasis. Never tried one myself. I prefer green or sweet things. But I'm feeling adventurous!”
I shuddered to think that she'd willingly consume a water slime. And yet I couldn't bear to warn her against the taste. The memories were too painful to recall.
That aside, she did raise a fair point.
“Why have we not been attacked yet?” I asked, turning my light around the tunnels, only to witness the scuttling form of another strangler crab already moving away from us. “I was led to believe that monsters attacked indiscriminately.”
“Most monsters do,” replied Coppelia. “But weak monsters have a unique flight instinct. It's the only way to survive in a cruel world full of murderous adventurers. They're exceptionally good at identifying powerful threats.”
I raised a querying eyebrow at Coppelia.
“Do they detect your absurd level of physical strength and flee from it, then?”
In response, Coppelia grinned and turned to the young woman walking closely behind us, her wide eyes constantly darting in all directions.
“Hmm, who knows? Maybe our alchemist is secretly super strong?”
Marlena … Marina blinked in surprise, then rapidly shook her head.
“Um, I'm not sure why they're not attacking. But I do have a monster repelling potion in my satchel. Maybe they can sense it … ?”
“Well, whatever the cause, we should take full advantage,” I said. “My attire is at risk enough without water slimes further dampening it.”
I received fervent agreement from our alchemist as we trundled along, free from attacks by the inhabitants of this cavern.
Buoyed by the lack of opposition, we pressed on through the cavern until we entered a smaller chamber filled with a central basin of water. Here, no tunnel bats plagued the ceiling and no strangler crabs tried to give me flashbacks, but that didn't mean there was no life.
It was, in fact, teeming with it.
Long strands of wet greenery blanketed the walls almost like a net, the strands and leaves interwoven like a circus of green as it stretched out from the pool of shimmering water.
“My … how peculiar!”
Unless my studies of horticulture were very much mistaken, this was seaweed—or at least something similar. But these weren't the bedrocks near a shoreline or the wooden joints of a dock that the weeds found themselves clutched against. It was a chamber deep beneath the earth, devoid of even the shallowest hint of the sky or saltwater.
This basin of water was either connected to more than a regular reservoir, or these seaweeds were a unique new variety!
“What a magnificent amount of life,” said the alchemist, her wide eyes taking in the tapestry of green. “It appears to be … well, weeds. But to be found underground is remarkable!”
I nodded, sharing the appreciation. I spun around while pointing the tip of my sword towards each wall in turn.
“Either they don't require sunlight to grow, or they're able to survive long periods without access to it. But how would they come to be here, I wonder?”
Suddenly, the alchemist gasped.
“Wait—look! Look where you just shone the light! Keep your sword away for a moment and look!”
I did as asked and peered away from where I was directing Starlight Grace.
Only then did I notice the glittering in the darkness.
It was like hundreds of jewels lighting up where the light had receded, as though having absorbed the radiance from my sword. Stepping closer, I leaned in and spied to my surprise the clear crystalline spines.
“Arcana crystals,” I remarked. “Now, this truly is a boon.”
It was the crystalline mineral prized among mages, and in turn, shopkeepers. The light absorbent crystals which were a crucial reagent in the crafting of mana potions, a lifeline for mages at risk of suffering from magical burnout induced nausea.
Though by no means rare, it was practically unheard of for a mineral deposit to be discovered so far from the eastern mountain ranges where so much of our mining industry takes place. A discovery such as this needed to be properly documented, and the size and quality of the deposit surveyed.
A rush of excitement coursed through me as I tip-toed from glimmer to glimmer, assessing each shine with a rudimentary appraisal that could glean nothing other than the fact that this was a precious opportunity.
Nor was I the only one to spot this.
“Gosh, what a magnificent sight!” exclaimed the alchemist, her eyes almost shimmering as much as the precious crystals. “Arcana crystals. Here of all places. Beneath Rolstein. I never thought such a thing was possible!”
I nodded. I didn't think so, either. But that was mostly because I never gave Rolstein any thought whatsoever.
“A precious find, and worthy of a dismal climb down a dilapidated well.”
“I had no idea … in all the records I've seen of Rolstein's history, no mention has ever been made of arcana crystals.”
“Ohhohoho! Rejoice, for where there are precious reagents, there are profits, and where there are profits, there are taxes to be reaped!”
“... Huh?”
“T-Taxes … as in, taxes to ensure the building of new roads and watchposts, to ensure the security and economic prosperity of this new opportunity!”
Yes, indeed! The Miner's Guild will no doubt wish to claim rights to any mining operations. But in exchange, Rolstein and the kingdom will receive a share of the proceeds.
If there's a sizeable deposit to be had, then this could become a wonderful opportunity for the lowlands as a whole. Diversification of the local economy was a rare and precious opportunity.
“Indeed, but any merits are a matter for the future,” said the alchemist, her excitement visibly tempering. “My concern is still the present. And so before we turn these precious fields into a mine, I'd first like to know if it can be saved. The starflower ...”
“There's no starflower.”
My blunt assessment caught the alchemist by surprise.
She said nothing, and so I provided my reasoning with an additional spin of the chamber.
Seaweed, arcana crystals, and the granite walls to which they clung. There was no sign of a fabled starflower, nor an exit from this chamber. Our journey had been linear. Had we missed a path in the darkness? If so, we'd need to backtrack in order to find it. Otherwise, this was the end of this jaunt, though it was by no means unfruitful.
“M-Miss Juliette ...”
Then, the alchemist's timid voice called out to me.
I knew what it was before I finished turning around. The bright glow being emitted by my sword was no longer the only source of light within this small chamber.
To my astonishment, a single flower was gleaming from a crevasse opposite the water basin. Even from a distance, its details shone in the darkness like the moon on a clear night, each petal radiating with the intensity of a flickering flame.
It was a single flower, and yet if it were to be placed in the sky, I had little doubt it would be the light that drew stargazers and sailors towards it. The beauty was mesmerising. So much so, that I almost failed to question why it was now gleaming for all the eyes in this chamber to see.
Almost.
“The starflower,” whispered the alchemist. “It's … It's here … !”
“I-Indeed, it is … !”
I was astonished.
The starflower. It truly was here. But how?
Its nature meant that simply missing it with my sword was impossible. Its radiance matched Starlight Grace. Did it function similarly to the arcana crystals, and was now reacting to the light? Yet I was always under the impression that a starflower's strength was in its undying glow.
Why, it was almost as if something covering it had been displaced. But nothing but walls of rock were present around the starflower, with each damp surface covered in arcana crystals and soggy seaweed.
And nothing but walls of rock was still here … even as it moved towards me.
Brruuuuuummmmmmmmmmm.
A deafening rumble resounded throughout the chamber. The surface of the water basin shook violently, while bits of the cave fell around us like the beginnings of an earthquake.
That sound could've been the precursor to a landslide. But I realised as the sound went on that it was more than that. It was a bellow. The very land made manifest and sentient with rage.
A living roar from a creature with no vocal chords, yet had no difficulty resonating with the earth.
It was, after all, a monster born of it.
Brrrrrruuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm.
The shadow of a massive stone golem jerked alive, shaking off rocks and dust as it woke from its slumber.
And I knew immediately from its movements that it was feeling deeply inhospitable after just waking up.
Why, it reminded me of myself.

I'm playing again after 35 years (last played in 7th grade) and after about six months, I sound about the same as a not-very-talented middle schooler who has been playing for six months. My normal playable range is B2->D4 (with work while practicing, I can get down to F#2, but it's a PITA and doesn't sound great, and I've got an E4 or two in me before it goes away).
Anyway, my question here is last night, after not having played for a week or so, I pulled out my trumpet to practice, start to warmup, and got nothing but air trying to play C3, then G3. I guess my lips were dry and they just weren't vibrating. The shocking (to me) part of this was that I could play C4 with no problem, E4 with no problem, and G4 with no problem--no forcing, no overblowing, just utterly comfortable, no effort at all. It's like my range simply moved an octave or so up. After about five minutes of trying to get my lips more moist, G3 came back, then C3 after another five minutes, and I was back in my normal range, with the previously easy high notes gone.
...what the hell happened here?

Been paying a lot of medical bills lately. Some are paid in full and others are on payment plans. Either way, I pay my cards off each month with the exception of CareCredit which I pay off before the promotion time ends.
I have a $3,690 up front medical expense coming up which I know may open up some bonus rewards if I open a new card. The other $3,690 I will pay in monthly installments over a year. I have the money in savings so I would pay it off after it posted. Mostly I’m just wondering if there’s another card I could add that would give me more rewards since medical stuff is my largest spending category. I’ve looked at the Chase Freedom for drug stores and dining out, but I already get 5% back for my medications at Walmart neighborhood market through my Amex BCP. I already get 5% back on my Amazon asynchrony. So only think Chase would give me would be dining and I don’t eat out that much.

“Tell me, Bishop, why are you suddenly interested in all of this? Why is Cerila here lying in bed?” I asked.
“Kaladin asked me to help her reach the level of a War God. I was testing her when I started to piece things together. But a deaf Beastmen woman trained by a Grandmaster light mage straight from the Holy Kingdom…things are starting to make sense,” Bishop said more to himself than me.
So he knocked her out…this man…what if he angered Kaladin? Ah, I suppose Kaladin isn’t so close-minded…hopefully.
He turned his intense eyes to me. “I request your help, old friend. I ask that you train Cerila on your own time. Her magic is amazing, and she is quite creative. I believe she can learn a thing or two from you. I would also request that Jessica, if she is feeling better, speak with Cerila as well. After that, I shall make moves on my own.”
I see. This is Bishop speaking to me, not King Maxwell. He must be earnest now if he is asking for my wife and me. It’s not every day I see this side of him.
I raised an eyebrow at him. “You are awfully adamant about this. Can I ask you why?”
The king smirked slightly, but his eyes were smiling a great deal. “It’s rather simple. I owe Kaladin a lot as a father and a man. He saved my family and my daughters not once but twice. I need to fulfill the first quest he’s given me, or I’ll never be able to rest easy. Helping him from the shadows can only accomplish so much and doing it alone would be a waste. I must guarantee her success.”
I shook my head. Sometimes I even forgot Bishop’s true nature. The man wasn’t just a genius on the battlefield but off of it as well. He hid behind this persona of being a meathead despite being a calm and collected person. After all, history may see that his wife was the one that spurred him into her plans, but it was actually the other way around.
Queen Maxwell was undoubtedly intelligent and crafty, but Bishop’s skills and natural charisma changed the minds of the people, nobles, and generals alike. He was the one that led the army into the city for an ambush and quickly surpassed the Brax nobility. He even lurked in the shadows, hiding behind the visage of his wife to complete his goals.
The man is quite cunning. And far from the babbling idiot, he portrays himself to be sometimes.
“And besides, I’m quite interested in this woman now,” Bishop added.
“I think she should be afraid, but I’ll agree to help. Jessica is another matter. I don’t see her being ready for anything physical for some time,” I told him.
Bishop nodded. “I understand, but I don’t need her physical prowess this time around. I’m hoping for Jessica to accomplish something only a woman can do. It will take some time, I imagine. How is she these days? I haven’t spoken to her in some time.”
I just chuckled. “You know how it is. She is getting more ravenous by the day. Trying to eat for two is quite taxing.”
“Isn't that the truth? They get so moody as well,” the king muttered.
Huh? Why did you phrase it like that?
My eyes widened as I looked at him. “Wait, don’t tell me!”
Bishop just smiled at me once more and put a finger to his lips.

Good day everyone. I hope you have all had a wonderful week. I've very much enjoyed my break, but I'm already ready to get back into the swing of things. And we are going to start a bit early with Vol.6 recap :D
To start, thanks to those of you who took the to fill out the survey in a meaningful way. I'm happy to say that 99% of the people that filled out the survey did so with good intentions. Also, the information I got from it was beneficial, and everything is on the up and up.(Regarding Ko-Fi and general operations)
As for that 1%...well, you probably know who you are and what you did. It would have been best if you perhaps at least waited for more people to fill it out not to make it so obvious :)

General Story-

Here is the first bit of general story stuff. Things are somewhat balanced for the most part. Vol.6 was full of significant events, so there was a lot to choose from.
Also, the average for Vol.6 on a scale from 1-10 was a nine, so Vol.6 was well received overall, according to the survey.
Personally, I think this split is pretty good, and it's what I wanted. Obviously, the more significant events got more votes, but that's to be expected, but it's good to see that the more minor events were enjoyed as well. Also, the primary genre for this volume was "Drama," which probably also played a part.

Let's get into Kaladin some more.
Overall, people are enjoying Kal's progress and the way he is going emotionally. Two hundred fourteen of you who responded believe that Kal should remain the same, while the other 21% want him to use the fame just a bit more. Which is good for me because I agree wholeheartedly with that outcome.
Kal's character isn't the type to want riches and fame. It was never his goal nor a desire for him. I think if Kal started unnecessarily swinging his weight around for minor reasons, that would reflect poorly on the character I've created.
Don't get me wrong that doesn't mean he won't ever use his fame because that would be just as dumb. But, when the time comes, and the situation is appropriate, Kal won't be afraid to utilize that newfound fame/powerank, I promise.

Kal Power Level-
So, it appears that many of you want to see a more powerful Kaladin. And I can understand that.
Kal is in a weird spot right now. He's stronger than most of the people around him in a one-on-one fight to the death, but those who are in the top percent of the world's power are still giving him a hard time.
I like it. I know that might not be the answer you are looking for, but Kal's strength has come a long way from the kid who passed out just making a small gust of wind behind his house. Also, I don't see myself giving Kal too many schools of magic. He's already at a high number for this world, and he has hardly mastered what he has. So giving him more right now would be too much.
Also, giving him some arbitrary power boost isn't in the cards. To be honest, I think the only "plotty" power I gave him was the Dragon eye, and that probably wouldn't help in a life-or-death fight against, say, King Maxwell.
We also have yet to see Kal fully go out against a powerful humanoid who is in that top-tier strength of the world. Sure, he's sparred with his dad, Cerila, Syvlia, and Professor Garrison, but there is a huge difference between a spar and an actual fight. In all those fights, Kal never had the intention to kill his opponent, which is a massive difference and can easily skew results, as it should, in my opinion.
I've been pretty consistent on Kal's stronger magic being dangerous not only to his enemies but to him, after all. It wouldn't make much sense for him to go around and start plasma bolting Cerila in a duel just because he wanted to win, now would it?
Although I hope you don't think that will be the case forever. Things would be boring if Kal never fought a strong enemy of that caliber. So we will be seeing something soonish in the story. Also, we are going to soldify the powerscale for the most part in Vol.7.
Also, things would be boring if Kal just stayed where he was, never able to deal with some of these severe threats himself. We will see some training and development on multiple fronts (magic/equipment) in making Kaladin "stronger." And we are going to see that in Vol.7.
Will he achieve the Dragon Emperor level of power that many of you wanted? Who knows :) I guess we will have to read and find out.
This brings me to a question some of you asked, "Why does Kal's power level seem to be all over the place." And the answer is, "What were his intentions and the circumstances of him going into the fight?"
If he was fighting, say, Tsarra, he's not going to drop blue plasma fire on her head and attempt to kill her. Nor is he going to engage in that brutal close-quarters combat and break her bones (Unless that was the goal of the fight, which would be weird). Kal going into a spar with Tsasrra should be different than Kal going into battle with The Chapter of Despair. The motives are different, and so should the outcome.
It's the reason he lost to Cerila for the first time. He went into the battle nonchalantly, with no intentions of taking it seriously. And in return, he lost(Although there was more to that, to be fair.)
Same with Sylvia and the fight at the ranch. They both got heated, the goal shifted, Kal got too serious, and he put Sylvia in a bad position. The goal changed briefly, and so did the outcome.

And now, onto this part. This was also interesting, especially the second question, since for a long time, it was deadlocked at 50-50. Like, actually, at 50-50 even with 200+ responses.
But, judging by the third question, most of you want him to interject somewhat into Luminar's politics, even if it is just a little bit.
In the coming chapters and volumes, if this survey is to go off of anything, I think most of you will be happy about the future of Kal's involvement with Luminar and its politics.
There will be a little of that in Vol.7, but we can look forward to it later on. After all, we have 3 siblings who can take the throne. Kal's gotta handle that somehow :)

This one surprised me a bit. I would have thought that many of you would have wanted to keep Mila out of the fight. Although thinking about it, I did put in "protect herself" which is an obvious want.
Of course, Kaladin would want Mila to be able to protect herself. That has been drilled into Kaladin for a long time. Even his parents were like that, so it makes sense that he would want to do the same.
But I also feel that he would be hesitant at the same time, even if it were slightly illogical...huh...
Well, I suppose we will have to wait and see. She is a bit too young to be training so hard anyway.
And for the 12 who strongly dislike Mila, you truly are the worst :'( How could you hate this face? What's wrong with you, huh? You probably kick kittens or something, you psycho.

Kal & His Past

So, we are mostly in agreement on this section. I also think Kal's reveal to Sylvia was important and a good thing that needed to happen. It did a lot for both of them and their relationship, which was the goal.
As for the reveal of his past to more people and the open responses, most of you wanted something along the lines of "some event needs to happen for him to share more." What those events were depended on the response, but it boiled down to much the same thing.
And I agree. I think Kal going off and telling people about his past for no good reason would probably be a net negative thing overall. Some external factors or forces would have to make him do so.
And that is also in regard to his parents.
I think him telling Sylvia versus him telling his parents are similar yet vastly different things. I mean, look at it this way.
The relationship someone has with their mother or father is entirely different from their spouse, right? Sure, there are overlapping things like love, being a family, seeing them succeed in life, and wanting to be with them, amongst other things, but the things a mother does for a son or daughter are different from what a husband would do for a wife.
Just imagine if the child who was your pride and joy, the little creature that you thought was half of you with the love of your life, and the little monster that you changed its poopy pants for years turned out to be a grown man—a killing machine from another world at that who lived an entirely different life before coming out of you.
I think that revelation of that fact would be different for a mother or father than, say, a girlfriend or boyfriend. And the ramifications would also be different. So I think Kal should be 10x more afraid to tell his mother about his past than Cerila.
At least, in my opinion, that is. What happens in the story remains to be seen.

Kal, Love, Relationships, & Harems-
The section I'm sure many of you have been waiting for. This is probably going to take a while, and I hope that I can call my points across. I've been going over this section and my eventual response in my head for weeks... let's just hope it writes out as good or better than what I've been thinking.

\Throw out any idea of forcing someone into a relationship for this section—no slave harems or making people do anything against their will. That's an entirely different subject matter and has nothing to do with what I am writing or will write.*
So, I got a question in the Q&A section I thought I would start with. "What makes a harem, a harem to you?"
I am of the orange response, mostly. I don't believe that a small group of people entering into a mutual relationship is automatically a harem. Multiple people vying for one person's affection also does not equal a harem in my eyes. Not all polyamorous relationships are a harem.
Basically, I only used harem because it is the most frequently used term to describe something like this. Although, I believe that term to be wrong in most cases and only really applies to anime esq harems that are over the top.
And before we delve deeper, I want to thank all of you who came into these questions to actually give me proper feedback, constructive criticism, and advice. Those of you who did so, even if you believe this to be a personal negative aspect of the story or don't care either way, are fantastic people. Thanks for putting the time into some of those open responses.
And to those of you who just left one-word sentences or some gibberish in the open responses, you missed the point and the opportunity.
And to those of you specifically who are sending me meaningless threats of "I'll leave or drop the story if you do XYZ" with no actual substance, I find you to be obnoxious. Please slither back into whatever dark hole you crawled out from. Your opinions mean nothing to me, and they won't sway my vision of this story in the slightest. If I had given in to people like you, I would have stopped writing this story in Vol.2.

According to the survey, things mainly seemed split. 99, no, 73, yes, and 106, no opinon. Now, depending on what side of the fence you sit on, you might think that 106 no opinion is more toward your side. But it seems a lot of those 106 people left similar responses in the open section (I think). I'm choosing to think of those 106 no opinions as "Certain things need to happen, and they need to happen well," instead of, "I don't care at all."
A lot of your concerns were the same,
"Sylvia wouldn't allow it."
"Cerila and Sylvia do not mesh at all right now. Them being romantic together makes no sense."
"A group of women "fighting" over one character is bad."
"As the characters are, them all entering a relationship together makes no sense."
"The partners should all be equally considered and not just be shallow prizes for Kaladin."
"Things should be thought out and developed."
"It needs proper build-up and a real connection between the different characters."
"They should behave like ordinary people and make realistic choices."
"Kaladin is currently not fit to have dozens of women in a harem."
"Having an obscene amount of partners in a relationship is typically bad and becomes cumbersome in the story. Diverting attention from what matters as it tries to get all the "partners" a piece."
Although these are primarily boiled-down versions of your responses, you get the gist. And to these concerns/remarks, I wholeheartedly agree with you, 100%. These are spot on and how I also feel, and I recognize all of this.
For those of you who said it was "impossible regardless" or "is too much of a suspension of disbelief," I disagree. Is a polyamorous relationship less likely to succeed than a monogamous one? Yeah, most definitely. Not that monogamous marriage is all that successful and the end all be all in the first place, but I do recognize these things. I also don't think it requires any more suspension of disbelief than is what is needed to believe in a reborn supersoldier in a fantasy world as an elf that slays dragons.
But hey, that's my humble opinion.
Anyway, to those above concerns, I once again agree. As things are now, Sylvia and "insert any character" would never be able to enter a relationship together with Kaladin as a package. If I forced it, it would be disingenuous to the characters I created and would be wrong. And there is no reason to pretend otherwise,
Sylvia is the number 1 candidate to be with Kaladin right now.
It would also be just as bad if Kaladin suddenly flipped the story on its head and started telling Sylvia to allow him to have a bunch of women or even to begin seeking out other women under Sylvia's nose or directly in her face. That's not Kaladin. That's not the character I created, so it won't be like that in this story.
Regardless, instead of telling you what I'm going to do. Let me tell you what I'm not going to do.
As I've said before, Kaladin is not going to suddenly become a playboy and start collecting women just because they showed interest in him. It took him this long to openly and purposely flirt with Sylvia in chapter 150, and it was the equivalent of "You as pretty as da moon." For him to go from that to banging any woman that showed interest in him would be wild, and it won't be happening, ever.
I said this once before, truly loving Kaladin should be hard. Sure, on the outside, being interested in Kaladin makes complete sense. He has money, power, prestige, a pedigree, looks, and a decent enough personality to tie it all together loosely. However, genuinely loving him would be challenging the second you peer through his cracks and see him for who he really is.
Just look at what happened to Ren. I'd say her feelings got crushed the second she saw him for who he was underneath the mask (literally, heh). Even if they did bounce back, saying they were the same as before would be hard.
Also, for example, Sylvia and Cerila having a single heart-to-heart conversation and just being like, "Oh yeah, I guess this is okay. Let's do it." Won't be happening. If it were to happen, far more things would have to go down in the story. And that includes any character being with Kaladin.
My track record of deep emotional issues in this story has been relatively successful, or so I think. I don't think I've done any character injustice so far regarding a serious "Drama" orientated matter. Things have been slow, and I've built a solid, somewhat realistic foundation for many of these characters, and I have 0 intentions of breaking them now. Just look at Kaladin. If a small half-assed conversation were enough to set him right, things would have been over a long time ago, right?
Basically, what I'm saying is, trust me and the process. I don't think I've let you down yet, and I don't intend to do so ever.
Also, for those of you who left questions about the current stance on Kal's relationship with Sylvia, I thought I gave a pretty good indicator in chapter 150. But maybe I missed the mark?
What I thought I did was Kal set a wall in front of Cerila with conditions for both of them that needed to be met to move forward in any capacity. Many of those conditions were realistic, would be challenging to accomplish, and there were no hollow guarantees of some fantasy outcome. That Kal openly accepted his feelings for Sylvia and will be progressing forward, even if it's awkward and a bit slow.
That's what I thought I did, but once again, maybe I missed that mark for some of you. Either way, you will see a marked difference in their relationship in Vol. 7, a big enough difference to go, "Oh, I see things really are changing."

As for anyone else, we will have to wait and see how things develop.
Whew, hopefully, I got everything. Now that that is done, let me give a few more quick reminders.
Graphic, written out in detail, sex in this story won't be happening ever, no exceptions. Things, if/when they ever do occur, will be fade to black 100% of the time.
Basically, what you are going to get is what you've got now. At this point, thinly/scantly dressed characters or omissions to an appearance of a character in that kind of situation are as spicy as it gets.
Also, just because Vol.5/6 had lots of romance and drama doesn't mean that every single volume is going to be like this. I've got a lot in the tank, and that being the focus 24/7 isn't the goal. Although, don't get me wrong, Drama was always a primary genre of this story, and it won't be going anywhere.

So, yeah, Vol.7 is gonna be fun, hopefully. Action is coming and all that :) But we have to get there first, so there is some usual volume build-up, but I swear it will be worth it! And the fighting tournament should be fun with a bit of...well, yeah. No spoilers for that.
Honestly, the best way to look at the story right now is to think of Vol.6 as the end of the story's first half. And maybe seeing chapters like 143ish as the new prologue.
So that leads me to some Q&A questions I got regarding the story-
Q: How long is this story?
A: We are halfway through it.
Q: So does that mean there are 6 or 7 more volumes left?
A: I honestly have no idea. I know that sounds dumb, but it's the truth. There was a point in my head that I thought Volume 4&5 was the same volume. So telling you that there is going to be "x amount of volumes" at this point would be a lie because I don't know how long it's going to take me to get to the end.
Q: Is there an end to this story? To Kaladin's journey?
A: Yes, 100% there is an end, and I will make it come to life even if everyone leaves me. This story will not last forever or for ten thousand chapters. This will also not be an open-ended ending either because I'm not too fond of those in 99% of cases.
Q: Why don't you know about your own ending? Why can't you give us a guess?
A: Because if I give you a guess and I'm under, you will be disappointed for no reason. And if I overestimate, you might think things are going on too long. So I hope you know that I have the destinations for this story in my head. I'm just writing the journey :)

What I've Been Up To & The Future Plans.
Keep this section rather short, hopefully.
One, I thank all of you who are concerned about my health. I know recently I've been saying I've been going to the doctor a lot lately, but I swear nothing is going on.
I'm in good health and just went over my biannual blood results—nothing of note or to be concerned of. I got glasses for driving at night and for far distances. That's a recent problem, I guess. But that's all my fault since I spend most of my life watching a screen. My up-close vison is still amazing and doesn't affect my writing at all.
As for the plans, I wanted to let you know about some behind-the-scenes things.
For one, I'm looking for a professional developmental editor(Whole nine yards of editing, not just a line editor), so if anyone out there knows one or is one, hit me up.
Before I think about getting a webcomic going up, I decided to solidify Volume 1's content and get it fully edited and published because it makes no sense to adapt a comic on content that isn't finalized.
And yes, I do plan on going back to all the old volumes and doing just that. Add more content/chapters, get artwork, and all that jazz.
Also, if you are or know a voice actonarrator and are interested in doing an audiobook, also hit me up.
I have some plans for all this. I think I'm going to go through with it in the summer. Things are looking good, and I'm looking forward to it.
Also, the second story... I've been slacking on this a bit. I intended to finish it last month, but things happened...oops.
As of writing this, I'm 75% done with both of the starts, and I'm almost ready to get people to pre-read them. We shall see how that goes.
I also figured I would give a notice of some breaks I'll be taking in the coming months, especially during summer. I'll be taking about a week off in June and maybe 1-2 weeks off in July. So I figured I would just warn you now and remind you again when it comes around.

The heck is going on at the high school? I was driving past Walmart over there and saw police everywhere by the school. Anyone know?

America runs on Dunkin, but it makes me run to the bathroom. I love a good cup of coffee, but my stomach unfortunately doesn’t. So like many a time, I threw my car in park and ran quickly into the bathroom in an Indiana Jones fashion to plop down with seconds to spare.
Now the bathroom at my workplace isn’t the cleanest, but if you know the custodian schedule, you can catch that “almost new” moment. There are four stalls in the restroom, including one handicapped stall. They all are full of incredibly racist graffiti, as well as political jokes and people still praising former presidents. I was on a mission. Get done and get out before I dealt with the normal things that happened such as having to hear other men evacuate their breakfast.
Then the door slammed open and I heard the stall next to mine open and slam shut. This isn’t abnormal. I’m used to someone rushing in and barely making it until they unleash their bad diets and hangovers. And I’ve heard it all. Some people will pray, some will cuss, some will grunt, and others just hop on for TikToks or play one of the many bubble games that exist now.
The man next to me though, I heard him whispering rapidly. At first I thought he was praying, but if he was, it was no prayer I’ve ever heard. In fact, it was almost like a mantra repeated, perhaps in Latin. It wasn’t until I peaked down, I noticed he wasn’t wearing his boots. He was barefoot on our nasty floor!!
“Please no”, he whimpered. I felt for the guy, I’ve been there. But then he began to growl. He started to bang the walls of the stall he was in making a struggle. I fell silent as I wasn’t sure what I was in the bathroom with.
“Kill ‘em, kill ‘em, kill ‘em” he whispered. I was more than sure I was about to be in an active shooter situation. So my plan was to wait until he walked out and high tail it to my car to escape.
Then there was sobbing. Then there was quiet. His hatch unlocked, and he began to walk out. Time for my escape.
But as luck would have it, I couldn’t be quiet. I felt my stomach bubble but it was inevitable. I clenched my cheeks and bit my lip but it was too late.
Brrrrrrrrp.
I farted. Whatever this man was doing, he knew he wasn’t a lone.
“WHO IS THERE” he shouted, but his voice was distorted. I could hear a human voice in there being muddled with something that….wasn’t human. I watched as he approached my stall and we made eye contact through the little slit in the door. His eyes were yellow, and his teeth were canine like.
He started pounding on the door and grabbing it to shake it. Scared out of my mind, I could see the screw in the latch beginning to spin out.
I followed my instinct and placed both feet on the door to hopefully make a barricade as I pushed what weight I could into them, thank goodness I had rails in my stall. But it was to no avail. My legs have out and he tore the door down.
As he reached out his hands to grasp me, the bathroom door opened.
“What the hell is this” the custodian yelled. The man/monster turned from me and attacked him. In a cowardly move, I ran. I ran as quickly as I could and pulled the fire alarm on the way out to save everyone else. I got in my car and left.
I don’t know where to go from here, but the police want to talk to me about the body they found mutilated.
