2023.03.22 07:49 thespuzz ‘Valuations of Indian stock market are not expensive from a long-term perspective’
Doshi: It’s very interesting that whatever is happening globally is just reinforcing our thought process and our belief that India is on the right track. We could never have expected such sort of accidents in our system. While we always think that we have regulatory challenges in India, today, I think it is a very big blessing.
I think whatever is happening globally, is just start of a cycle where you will see the pain going on for many years. These are all warning signals for us. But India stands out very well.
Jain: The way monetary policy and banking regulation in India has worked over the last few years has been a typical first world style of functioning, which unfortunately did not happen in the first world. It’s quite an irony.
About a decade ago, perhaps post GFC, in India, we saw fairly volatile times, with weak balance sheets at an aggregate level with huge NPAs building up and current account crisis as well. Post that we’ve seen – both at the government and at corporate level – steps taken to strengthen the structural fabric of India. I think we are just seeing the benefits of that come through. It’s a good thing that we did not let the crisis go waste.
I believe that the next decade is ours for the taking.
Mukherjea: I think every 10 years, America blows up. I don’t think that’s the story of the moment.
You will remember 2023-24 as the year in which the world went to war without weapons. What’s happening between America and China is very serious. And it has huge implications for us as a country. Let’s take two developments.
ASML, a company headquartered in the Netherlands, is the only company to produce ‘extreme ultraviolet lithography’ technology to produce integrated circuits, which play a key role in the global chip supply chain.
The Dutch government, basis the pressure from US, stated a few months ago that there will be no exports of ASML machines to China. The western world, in a way, is saying we will send China back to the stone age as quickly as possible by making sure this semiconductor manufacturing comes to a halt.
The other dimension is in the Pharma industry. When we speak to the western pharma major companies, in which we invested in, all of them say there are clear orders from the powers that be in America to buy less API from China and buy more API from India. Fly to Baroda, Surat or Vapi in India, you will see a whole new industry coming up, which is ramping up API production.
Even if China’s 10% of API production moves to India, our API industry will be doubled.
Also Read : What are the rules that qualify any property as ancestral? Indian stock market valuations Doshi: It’s not that our premium has gone up. But it’s just that the valuations of the other countries have gone down. So, our valuations look a bit expensive. But India is charting a growth path of its own.
Could you have imagined that the inflation rate in India would be lower than many parts of the West. I couldn’t have dreamt of it 10 years ago. Further, in the last five years, we are enjoying a corporate tax rate of 25.17%, absolutely undisturbed. Now, isn’t that a very strong promise from our government, to provide consistency and stability?
Shah: Indian stock market valuations are undoubtedly not cheap on a one-year basis. But take a five-year view, and suddenly we are the cheapest among the emerging markets.
Today Maharashtra’s GDP is equal to what whole of India’s GDP was in 2005. The combined GDP of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand is what India’s GDP was in 2001. And three states—Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka—combined GDP is where India was in 2000. Can we assume that over the next 15-25 years, these states will produce what India is producing today, if all of us continue to work as hard? I think it is eminently achievable. Now, in which part of the world would you see states becoming as big as the country, with reasonable amount of assurance. People who buy into that story will not find India’s valuation expensive.
Jain: In the calendar year 2022, Nifty 50 gave about a 4%-5% return, which sounds unexciting, of course.
But you should analyse the performance of that 50-stock basket by removing the outliers. And you will find that the difference in returns between the best performing and the worst performing stock is 90%. The best performing stock gave you 50%, the worst performing stock was down 37%.
I think it’s important to be able to identify those companies and take advantage of stock selection in order to create alpha and not overly obsess about aggregate valuations, aggregate growth, etc.
Mukherjea: Do a simple analysis. You look at companies that have a double-digit revenue growth and double-digit ROCE (return on capital employed) in the last 10 years. India has 140 such companies and China has 130. Remember, China’s economy is 4-5 times larger than us and still has fewer companies with the growth I mentioned. And there is no other emerging market in that picture.
The Indian companies filtered would have compounded wealth at 24% over the last 20 years, while the Chinese companies would have compounded at 12%. This is the best that China has to offer .
The decade of manufacturing Shah: The train which we missed in the 80s, where China became a manufacturer to the world and we became back office to the world, is likely to get reversed, in my opinion. It’s not a 1-3 year journey, it’s probably 10-30 year journey. For China, the manufacturing is about 40% of the GDP. India’s manufacturing should grow from below 25% of the GDP towards first 30%, then 35% and hopefully someday to 40%. That’s the story of manufacturing in India.
Be watchful of: Mukherjea: We need to push up the ante on corporate governance. We have improved vastly from the days of Satyam and the DHFL debacle etc. But I think given the rate at which our country is going, also the rate at which domestic money is coming into big mutual fund houses, we owe it to the investor community both in India and abroad. To push up the ante on accounting, quality and corporate governance is imperative.
Shah: From the economic point of view, we can’t afford to make a self-goal. In 1947, we were at par with Japan in terms of per capita GDP. In the1960s, we were at par with South Korea. In the 80s, we were at par with China. Today, all these countries are way ahead of us. And that’s because they have done many good things. But we have scored self-goals. The best example of Indian self-goal is when Singur, a state in West Bengal, opposed Tata group’s automobile plant in an essentially backward area. They tried for five years, couldn’t do it and finally moved out. They went to Sanand in Gujarat, which is now growing at a healthy rate. If all of India is going to follow a Singur model, it is time to short India. If all of India is going to follow Sanand model, it’s time to go double long India.
Doshi: India runs one big risk of continuity of reforms. We have had extraordinary leadership at the country level, which need to carry on for another one or two terms, I believe. There are a lot of unfinished reforms in many fields such as agriculture, defence, divestment of PSUs. etc. These are some of these big-ticket items that will actually take India to the next level.
Jain: I like to think that we don’t have control over what is going to be the political climate in India over the medium term and also on how regulations will be shaped. But what we can control is identifying companies that will be able to traverse these differing political scenarios, macro-economic situations, and so on and emerge stronger. So, I would as an investor and as a fund manager, only urge that we need to put effort into identifying companies and winners that can go through variables that we can’t control or which we can’t predict.

2023.03.22 07:48 snuffed666 What Zane build/s don't rely on weird stuff?
Mained Fl4k through the whole game, did takedowns/raid bosses on M11 etc, and once his builds are down it's easy - rakk stab is just run and press f, fade GITM is just press f and shoot. Got Zane up to 72, M11, but all his 'best' builds I find seem to require me to be sliding, jumping, ads and then something else, like boresplosion being to aim away from the target or migraine being to crit. What's a good Zane build that just doesn't take that much effort so I can farm stuff without needing two extra arms?

2023.03.22 07:45 rakrish13 Portfolio balancing in a high interest rate environment
I usually follow a boring and dull investment strategy of 60% stocks and 40% bonds..the stock portion is S&P500 and the bond is primarily corporate bonds. My investment horizon is typically 20+ years and am not worried about daily/monthly movements. I am in my mid 30s and obviously started investing only in the early-mid 2010s
My assumption behind such an approach was that, over the long run, I will be fine and not worry too much about stock market movements. because I have the bonds are supposed to counter weigh the risk profile of stocks.
But with the interest rates rising, all the bonds are losing in value. While I understand the math behind that, this invariably means that stocks and bonds are directly correlated. Does this mean that the traditional advice on portfolio balancing (60/40 on stocks/bonds) need to be revisited since we have been in a low interest for too long? Or am I too dumb and naive to miss the larger picture?
P.S: please no decentralization/crypto comments. I believe in traditional finance

It’s time to crush it. I want you to take a moment and imagine a world where you could… Never worry about money ever again. Build a six figure marketing agency and the best part? it’s a reality that all of my students are living RIGHT NOW. Take care of your family & loved ones. Yeah… this is something close to my heart. My marketing agency finally allowed me to take care of my mom and the people who believed in me when I had nothing. Travel the world, anytime! Yes… that’s right. After this course you will have the location freedom to travel anywhere in the world you want! Now, who is the genius (kidding… kinda) behind this whole course? Let me introduce myself, my name is Iman. At the age of Seventeen, I dropped out of high school to commit to the world of online marketing. Within my first year I had made over $300,000+, I had traveled the world working from my computer, I had constructed my dream lifestyle and this was all done through the power of what I teach in Six Figure SMMA. I run my own digital marketing agency based out here in London, although we have clients out in Amsterdam and St. Tropez. I have my personal brand which is another six figure business… Then I have a few other smaller income streams here and there. I love the internet! Haha Damn… I worked hard for this life. I worked hard to create the sort of income where I can take care of my family and not even check the price… I guess that’s why I’m so passionate about what I teach. It’s because it changed my life in unexplainable ways. I don’t think I could ever go back to my old life after living like this. submitted by AutoModerator to GenkiCourses_2023 [link] [comments] |

2023.03.22 07:44 Ralle_Pan An update to my custom Aelnar empire for Stellaris (AAR)
| To preface this, the Lithiel here is not the same Lithiel as in Eu4/Vic 3, i just like the name, sorry for any misunderstandings lmao "By Solar flame and Lunar light Bring us war and kill the night Away from Halann, the stars are in sight Purge all worlds, for our birthright" - High Executioner Lithiel upon learning of the destruction of the Tal'Akkuran High Kingdom It has been 53 years since the first Aelnari vessels set off to the stars. The Celestial Ascendancy of Aelnar struck out into the space, no longer afflicted with the ever-troublesome Astral Terror that had plunged numerous attempts into ruin. It's ships cutting through the darkness, a mix of blue and teal that soon would herald their arrival to the galaxy. At first, they were simply in search of ancient precursor ruins, seeking to uncover their ancient past and potentially uncover lost secrets to continue their research, but soon, a lone vessel appeared as they surveyed a nearby system, and the fate of the galaxy would change forever. The Aelnari had encountered the Tal'Akkur, an anthropoid species who were as xenophobic as they were. They however, were not prepared for what was to occur. https://preview.redd.it/p09qi31vf8pa1.jpg?width=420&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9dcac10b2b170a788f87826ba08ea8d2b7a3ec6 High Executioner Lithiel ordered the immediate engagement of the vessel, and a fleet of newly constructed ships set out in search of any alien worlds. The battles were short, the end was bloody. In the end, all that was left was the broken carapices of millions of Tal'Akkur, desperate to save their last world. Upon the conquest of their homeworld, a policy of forced labour was enacted, and millions of Star Elves were moved both to oversee and claim these new worlds. The conditions were brutal, Millions of Tal'Akkur were forced to mine and farm on what was once their homeworld. Begging for food and basic needs, they were given none. Any revolt was swiftly and brutally put down. For Aelnar, doing this was neither a necessity, nor a mercy. It was the fate of all who would stand in their way, to be used until for as long as they were to live, and to be discarded as a figment of the past once they had all perished, never to be remembered again. Another empire would share the Tal'Akkur's fate, the Sacrosanct Juvan Order, a xenophilic free haven, structured by a priesthood stalwart in their spirituality, heard rumors of what had happened, and had even been given ample time to prepare since the Aelnari forces were far from the border, but still, they did nothing to stop Aelnar. Perhaps they were overeager in their own defences, perhaps they underestimated the "evil xenos," but in the end their homeworld was endlessly bombarded, their cities overrun, and they too were forced to work in the lands they once called their home. https://preview.redd.it/y59tf174g8pa1.jpg?width=409&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07b98224d770b69f681edba94257918b25ca24f4 Then the third empire fell, the Birnathian Alignment, an authoritatian technocratic dictatorship, who perhaps would have been ready to face the Aelnari threat, had they not been preoccupied greedily mining their systems of resources, and instead building their fleet to match the Aelnari. Again in history an empire had been presented with an opportunity to prepare, and again they refused to take it. Their worlds provided a source of immense mineral wealth to the Ascendancy, and just as the Tal'Akkur and the Juvans, they too would be forced to work until they died, and their species would be purged from the galaxy. https://preview.redd.it/g916mkl2k8pa1.jpg?width=405&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf43ad841d6c13987e6ea02f2c71de3798646127 Three bloody corpses of three defeated empires lay under Aelnar's feet, and soon a fourth would join them. The Noranian Galactic Confederacy was the latest of their conquests, a militant empire, they would prove to be the toughest challenge for the Ascendancy. Their hit and run tactics strained the Aelnari forces, their stalwart defences halted the invasions for years, and their sheer tenacity proved a headache for the Ascendancy's leading admirals and generals, but in the end they broke. A devastating push against each of their planets was launched, one by one they fell, an armageddon befalling them as orbital bombardments sought to rain hell upon any and all signs of life, military and civilian alike. Once their last worlds were conquered, High Executioner Lithiel ordered a new "Call of Reflection," harkening back to Aldan under the Precursor Empire, the efforts of the Ascendancy would now be focused internally, as the situation on the homefront grew evermore pressing. A new innovation heralded by leading Aelnari scientists threatens to plunge the universe into an era of murder, genocide, and war. The Ascendancy has shattered the limits of biological evolution, and now had obtained the power of genetic modification, and perhaps one day even may reach a supposed "Biological Ascension." A grim prospect for the future, however that is not to say light has been extinguished in the galaxy. Constant warring and pushes for technological innovation on the homefront have strained the Aelnari Fleets, with their most recent victory against the Noranian Galactic Confederacy showing the effectiveness of hit and run tactics, as well as displaying the sheer stalwart resistance offered by the Norani defenders proving almost too much for the Aelnari forces to handle. Their pursuit of Genetic Perfection has led to the rise of a small subspecies of "Post Star-Elves," who on their homeworld of Kisak Aerie have self-modified themselves to be more resistant to the tundra of their planet, seek to gain greater political autonomy, and indeed they have modified themselves to be able to breed faster, hit harder, and even expand their own lifespans, something many Star Elves in the empire see both as an existential threat, but also a terrifying opportunity to experiment and observe firsthand their possible future. Lastly, the economy of the Ascendancy lies fragile following war after war. While the material demands are being met, the rapid deterioration of the Aelnari economy has led to a shockingly fast collapse in credit reserves, and Aelnar seems to be on the brink of "running its coffers dry" within the next 20 years if nothing is done. The fate of the Ascendancy lies uncertain at this pivotal moment. Forces both internal and external could shatter the supposed unstoppable destiny of the Star Elves, but rapid developments and advances could launch them into a new age of prosperity, spelling the end for the rest of the galaxy. The Celestial Ascendancy of Aelnar 53 years following it's first steps into space The Celestial Supremacy of Aelnar now indirectly holds roughly a quarter of the Galaxy, and more and as more and more empires are discovered, and the empire seems to be reaching it's limits, the future remains in the balance. Massive Leviathans remain across numerous systems, mysterious gateways lie waiting to be explored, a "machine empire" lies on their northern border, and more and more anomalies and unforeseen consequences litter the empire, threatening to tear it apart bit by bit. "The Pale Moon of Aelnar may soon Ascend above the Galaxy, but never forget, it may just as likely fade into nothingness against the vastness of the dark that consumes it." - Last words of a Norani worker to his child submitted by Ralle_Pan to Anbennar [link] [comments] |
2023.03.22 07:43 Visual-Soft5584 Federal Reserve 'between a rock and a hard place' as interest rate decision looms
| Federal Reserve officials will convene this week for one of the central bank's most uncertain policy meetings in years. Forced to balance the consequences of a banking crisis and inflation that remains well above target, the Fed is expected to raise interest rates by another 0.25% when it releases its latest policy decision at 2:00 p.m. ET Wednesday afternoon. This move would bring the Fed's benchmark interest rate range to 4.75%-5%, the highest since 2006. Fed Chair Jerome Powell will hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET to explain the Fed's decision. "They're in between a rock and a hard place," said Wilmer Stith, bond portfolio manager for Wilmington Trust. "There's a banking crisis and it's really a very tenuous, uncomfortable position for the Fed to be in." During his semi-annual testimony before Congress in early March, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said strong economic data would likely push interest "higher than previously anticipated." Just days later, the 16th-largest bank in the U.S. — Silicon Valley Bank — was taken into receivership by the FDIC, marking the second-largest bank failure in U.S. history. By the evening of Sunday, March 12, the Fed, Treasury, and FDIC had stepped in to backstop deposits at the bank and, in effect, deposits across the banking system. Regulators also seized Signature Bank on March 12, and last week the banking industry organized a de facto bailout of troubled lender First Republic. Shares of First Republic reached a record low on Monday as investors fear the bank will be the fourth U.S. bank this month to fail. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell testifies before the House Committee on Financial Services on Capitol Hill on March 08, 2023 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Anna MoneymakeGetty Images) This past weekend, Swiss banking giants UBS and Credit Suisse merged in an emergency combination aimed at shoring up the European banking system. This Fed again issued a Sunday evening statement — this time on global swap lines to ensure dollar liquidity remains abundant worldwide. Still, as of Tuesday morning, data from the CME Group showed investors placing an 85% chance on the Fed raising rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday. "If they stop and reverse [rate hikes], that could cause markets to believe they're not fighting inflation when inflation is still a problem, giving you higher mortgage rates and funding costs for corporations and just a tighter vice on the economy," Stith said. After a year fighting one problem (inflation) with one tool (higher interest rates), the Fed has had to firefight a whole new challenge in just the last 10 days. Don't rule out 'further hikes to come' In addition to announcing its latest interest rate decision, the Fed will also reveal its new Summary of Economic Projections (SEP) on Wednesday, which include officials' forecasts for interest rates, inflation, unemployment, and economic growth over the balance of this year and the next two, as well as longer-run expectations. "[While] Chair Jerome Powell will acknowledge the uncertainty and stress the Fed's willingness to adjust policy if the situation in the banking sector worsens, that doesn't necessarily mean that the new Summary of Economic Projections won't still show further hikes to come,” said Andrew Hunter, an economist at Capital Economics. In December, the Fed's SEP suggested rates would peak in a range of 5%-5.25% during this rate hiking cycle. Powell's testimony earlier this month suggested this outlook is what would need altering from the central bank. On March 14, the February consumer price index showed consumer prices excluding food and energy — or so-called "core" inflation — rose 0.5% over the prior month in February, a modest acceleration from the 0.4% gain logged over each of two prior months. On March 10, the February jobs report showed some 311,000 jobs were created last month after more than 500,000 jobs were added to the economy in January. https://preview.redd.it/6awngnoyk8pa1.png?width=904&format=png&auto=webp&s=36cfb0d87a3996768cad9a010fa2beaf5a542e62 This is the strong economic data investors are betting will force the Fed to continue raising rates, though caution is expected given financial stability risks in the banking sector. Back out the banking crisis that has enveloped global markets and these inflation and jobs numbers had made a 50 basis point rate hike likely. Or as Powell told lawmakers on March 7: "If the totality of the data were to indicate that faster tightening is warranted, we would be prepared to increase the pace of rate hikes." As February turned to March, Fed officials were widely socializing the idea that 5%-5.25% peak range for the Fed funds rate would need to be revised higher. Leading up to this month's bank failures and before the Fed's ten-day quiet period ahead of its policy meeting, many Fed officials were calling to raise rates higher previously forecast. Fed Governor Chris Waller warned in a speech March 2 that if jobs and inflation reports continued to come in hot rates would have to rise more than previously expected this year. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari, a voting member of the FOMC, said earlier this month he'd lean towards pushing rates higher than he previously forecast, while Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic said that if data come in stronger than expected then a case could be made for higher rates https://preview.redd.it/qpji7q34l8pa1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=0a281e095946df03f00d4ecba4e3bc69b1aaa1d7 "It's a toss up," said Stith. "Do they raise 25 [basis points], but stop quantitative tightening? Do they raise 25 but lower their dot plot significantly? It's less certain now from my perspective that they're going to do the 25, [and] continue to telegraph a higher rate environment. I think that's a bar that's a little too high." Goldman's chief economist Jan Hatzius — who expects the Fed will stand pat on Wednesday — said there is "considerable uncertainty" about the path beyond March, but he's leaving expectations unchanged for 25 basis point hikes in May, June, and July, and now expects the Fed to finish its rate-hiking cycle with rates in a range of 5.25%-5.5%. https://preview.redd.it/wqpa5ce7l8pa1.png?width=921&format=png&auto=webp&s=6448bd4dc99a3d56d2505eb60be099b3f194e20a Liquidity looms In addition to balancing full employment with stable prices, the Fed's dual mandate has an unofficial third arm — financial stability. This "third mandate" is what has been put under the most stress during this month's banking crisis. The Fed has said it would use its regulatory tools to deal with financial instability, and the central bank created an emergency lending facility to offer funding to banks to ensure banks could meet all depositor withdrawals. This program essentially backstopped all deposits — both those insured and uninsured — across the U.S. financial system. So far banks have borrowed only about $12 billion from the program — equivalent to a small fraction of the deposits that were pulled out of Silicon Valley Bank before its collapse. Still, banks have borrowed $153 billion in loans through the Fed's traditional lending program, known as the discount window, marking the largest amount since the 2008 financial crisis. And as the Fed uses its tools to shore up confidence in the system, these efforts have been a collaborative effort in Washington, D.C. Speaking before the Senate last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she is monitoring stress in the banking system to make sure problems at Silicon Valley Bank and Signature don't spread to other banks. Yellen assured Senate lawmakers last Wednesday the U.S. banking system is "sound" despite recent bank failures. https://preview.redd.it/tz6lnbjal8pa1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9ba6d0e4a1ae019458982b1b9acd9d75fa9e829 These stresses on the banking system may also, in a roundabout way, work to accomplish some of the Fed's goals, particularly as it relates to tightening financial conditions. "The Fed wanted to tighten financial conditions and bam, they got that in a week," Stith said. According to the Fed's latest Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey, most banks were already tightening standards on consumer and business loans by the end of last year. "If credit was restricted enough to seriously hit activity, the risk is that a self-sustaining cycle of rising unemployment, higher delinquency rates and ever-tighter credit standards could eventually emerge," said Capital Economics' Hunter. submitted by Visual-Soft5584 to Burystocks [link] [comments] |

2023.03.22 07:37 puzzled4798 my partner was admitted to inpatient bc of depression
I feel a mess of emotions. Relieved, worried, sad, lonely, scared, hopeful. We have dogs, cats and a whole farm to care for. The kids who volunteer keep coming to me with questions, and it just makes my heart ache. He does so much for everyone here, but he's been struggling for so long and his attempts to get help elsewhere were in vain. This week we have had a lot of tough conversations and so many stressors, I'm glad he was able to recognize what needed to be done to save our relationship, our farm, and his own life. It is not the same without him though I am relieved to know he is finally getting the care that he so desperately needs. I am thankful I have a decent support system, friends, coworkers, the volunteers here. Today one of our dogs got loose while someone was riding a horse in the ring (and this dog is notorious for trying to chase them while working, which is horribly dangerous for everyone) and I was in tears running around trying to catch him. Two girls helped me lure him with treats and get him back inside (because of course he just learned how to jump the 4ft fence, of course!) and I cannot stop thinking about how grateful I am for that. I thank god for bringing us here, for these animals, for the people i can lean on. I'm writing him letters to keep him updated, and so he doesn't have to miss out on all the crazy farm antics. Tomorrow is a new day and I pray for his healing.

2023.03.22 07:35 Irishman042 Close Quarters Map Rotation
Anyone else feel like the Close Quarters map rotation is way out of balance? It feels like I get about this distribution: 47% Farm (worst map, will back out 100% of the time) 28% Market 23% Dome 2% Shipment
This was a similar issue with the Shoot the Ship mode when it first dropped last season. 90% Shoothouse and 10% Shipment until they finally updated it and eventually brought back 24/7 shipment.
Why can't they balance playlists from the beginning?
Feels like Shipment 24/7 is by far the most popular, and they have to remove that playlist when anything else drops or nothing else gets played. Just let us have Shipment 24/7!

2023.03.22 07:31 Resumesolution Professional Resume Writing Best Resume Writers
Introduction to resume writing Most job seekers find themselves in a situation where they've taken on too many projects, and as a result, their resumes are in need of a serious update. If you're in this boat, you're not alone. A recent survey of 1,000 job seekers found that 58% have not updated their resume in the past year, and 21% have not updated their resume in the past three years.
If it's been a while since you've updated your resume, don't fret. We're here to help. In this post, we'll show you how to write a resume that will get you noticed by employers and help you land the job you want.
First things first: let's define a resume. A resume is a document that outlines your work experience, skills, and educational background. It's typically used when applying for jobs, and it's the first thing employers look at when considering candidates.
There are different types of resumes, but the most common is the chronological resume. This type of resume lists your work experience in reverse chronological order, starting with your most recent job. It's the most common type of resume because it's easy to read and it gives employers a clear idea of your work history.
If you're not sure how to get started, take a look at our chronological resume template. This template will help you structure your resume and make sure you include all the important information employers are looking for.
Once you have a template you like, it's time to start filling it in. Here's what you need to include in your resume:
Contact information: Include your name, email address, and phone number.
Professional summary: A brief summary of your skills and experience.
Work history: A list of your previous jobs, including the job title, company name, dates of employment, and a brief description of your duties.
Skills: A list of your skills, including both hard and soft skills.
Education: A list of your educational qualifications, including the name of the institution, the type of degree, and the graduation date.
Optional sections: You can also include additional sections in your resume, such as volunteer
II. The importance of a well-written resume There's no question that a well-written resume is important. After all, your resume is often the first impression you make on a potential employer. But what exactly makes a resume well-written? Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Keep it concise. A resume should be a snapshot of your most relevant experience and skills. There's no need to include every job you've ever had or every skill you've ever acquired. Just include the information that's most relevant to the job you're applying for.
- Use action words. A good resume is full of powerful, action-oriented language. Avoid weak words like "helped" or " oversaw." Instead, use words like "developed," "created," or "achieved."
- Highlight your accomplishments. Your resume should highlight your successes and accomplishments. Include specific numbers and details to illustrate the impact you've made in your previous roles.
- Tailor your resume. Every resume should be tailored to the specific job you're applying for. Don't just send out the same generic resume to every employer. Take the time to customize your resume for each job to increase your chances of getting called for an interview.
- proofread. Always proofread your resume before sending it out. A single typo could be enough to eliminate you from consideration. Use spell check and have a friend or family member take a look as well.
Following these tips will help ensure that your resume is well-written and stands out from the competition. Investing the time to craft a strong resume will pay off in the long run as you land the job you really want.
III. The benefits of using a professional resume writer There are many reasons to use a professional resume writer. A
resume writer can help you create a custom resume that highlights your unique skills and experience, and can even help you land a job.
A professional resume writer can:
- Help you identify your transferable skills
- Help you focus your resume on the right keywords
- Help you write a custom resume that highlights your unique skills and experience
- Help you land a job
A professional resume writer can help you create a custom resume that:
- Highlights your unique skills and experience
- Is keyword-optimized
- Gets you noticed by employers
A professional resume writer can also help you:
- Understand what employers are looking for
- Write a custom resume that highlights your unique skills and experience
- Land a job
If you're looking for a job, a professional resume writer can help you create a custom resume that will get you noticed by employers.
IV. How to choose the right resume writer for you If you're on the job market, the chances are that you'll need to enlist the help of a professional resume writer at some point. But with so many resume writing services out there, how do you know which one to choose?
Here are some things to keep in mind when selecting a resume writer:
- Make sure the resume writer is experienced and certified.
The best resume writers will have extensive experience and training in the field of resume writing. They should also be certified by a reputable organization, such as the National Resume Writers' Association.
- Ask for samples.
When you're considering a resume writer, be sure to ask for samples of their work. This will give you a good idea of their writing style and the quality of their work.
- Find out what their process is.
A good resume writer will have a process in place to ensure that your resume is of the highest quality. They should start with a consultation to get to know you and your career goals, and then they'll create a draft of your resume. Once the draft is complete, they'll work with you to make any necessary revisions.
- Get a sense of their personality.
You'll be working closely with your resume writer, so it's important that you feel comfortable with them. During your consultation, pay attention to their communication style and see if it's a good fit for you.
- Make sure they offer a satisfaction guarantee.
Any reputable resume writer will offer some sort of satisfaction guarantee. This ensures that you're happy with the final product and that any revisions you need will be made.
Choosing the right resume writer for you is an important decision. But if you keep these things in mind, you'll be sure to find a great writer who can help you land the job you want.
V. The top mistakes people make when writing their own resumes When it comes to writing your own resume, there are a few common mistakes that people tend to make. Here are the top five mistakes to avoid when writing your resume:
- Not Tailoring Your Resume to the Job
When you’re applying for a job, it’s important to tailor your resume to the specific position you’re interested in. Generic resumes that don’t focus on any particular job are less likely to get noticed by employers. Take the time to customize your resume for each job you apply for, and you’ll increase your chances of getting an interview.
- including Irrelevant Information
Your resume should be focused on your most relevant work experience and skills. There’s no need to include information that’s not directly related to the job you’re applying for. In fact, including irrelevant information can actually hurt your chances of getting an interview. Stick to the essentials and leave out anything that’s not directly related to the job.
- Not Using Keywords
Employers often use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to sort and filter resumes. These systems are designed to scan resumes for specific keywords and phrases that match the job requirements. If your resume doesn’t include the right keywords, it may not get through the ATS and into the hands of a human recruiter.
To make sure your resume is keywords -
First, look at the job listing and make a list of the required skills and qualifications.
Then, look at your own resume and see if you’ve included those keywords.
If you’re missing any of the required keywords, try to work them into your resume where it makes sense.
- Not Proofreading
One of the most common mistakes people make when writing their own resumes is not proofreading their work. It’s important to carefully proofread your resume before you submit it. Even a small typo or grammatical error can make you look less professional and could cost you the job.
- Not Updating Your Contact Information
Make sure your contact information is up to date before you submit your resume. Nothing
VI. How a professional resume writer can help you avoid those mistakes There are a few key reasons why working with a professional resume writer can help you avoid making common mistakes on your resume.
First, a professional resume writer understands what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for in a resume. They know what keywords and phrases to use, and how to structure your resume in a way that will make it easy for a busy recruiter to quickly see your value.
Second, a professional resume writer can help you identify and highlight your most relevant and impressive accomplishments. They know how to take your work history and education and turn it into a resume that will grab a recruiter's attention.
Third, a professional resume writer can help you avoid common resume mistakes, such as using outdated language or formatting your resume in a way that makes it hard to read. By working with a professional, you can be confident that your resume will be error-free and will make a strong first impression.
If you're serious about landing your dream job, working with a professional resume writer is a smart investment. By avoiding common resume mistakes and highlighting your best qualifications, you'll increase your chances of getting noticed by employers and landing the job you want.
VII. The bottom line: is hiring a resume writer worth it? If you're on the fence about whether or not hiring a resume writer is worth it, this blog post is for you. We'll go over the pros and cons of hiring a resume writer, and help you decide if it's the right move for your career.
The Pros of Hiring a Resume Writer
- A resume writer can help you clarify your career goals.
If you're not quite sure what you want to do with your career, a resume writer can help you figure out what you're looking for. They'll ask you questions about your skills and experience, and help you match them up with the right job. This can save you a lot of time and energy spent applying for jobs that you're not qualified for, or that don't fit your career goals.
- A resume writer can help you highlight your strengths.
It can be difficult to know how to best present yourself on your resume. A resume writer can help you identify your strengths, and make sure they're front and center on your resume. They can also help you downplay any weaknesses, so that your resume is the best possible representation of you.
- A resume writer can help you get more interviews.
A well-written resume is your ticket to getting more interviews. A resume writer can help you craft a resume that will get you noticed by employers, and make sure you're putting your best foot forward.
- A resume writer can help you negotiate a higher salary.
If you're offered a job that you're happy with, but the salary isn't what you were hoping for, a resume writer can help you negotiate a higher salary. They'll know what salary range is appropriate for your experience and skills, and can help you get the salary you deserve.
- A resume writer can help you make a career change.
If you're looking to make a career change, a resume writer can help you make the transition. They can help you identify the skills and experience that will transfer well to your new field, and make sure your resume highlights those skills. They can also help you downplay any experience that isn't relevant to your new

2023.03.22 07:26 GERBILSAURUSREX Sometimes I hear it.
"Dude, what are you laughing at?" Asked my friend Steve as my laughter slowly changed from a giggle to an outright cackle. I was in the chair nursing a PBR and baked out of my gourd. Steve and Darnell were on the couch locked into a fierce game of 2K. They were also crossfaded. There was nothing happening of comedic value.
I said it was nothing as I always do. If you hang out with me enough you'll notice this happens from time to time. Some people are weirded out by it. Fortunately I've always been able to find friends who find it an endearing quirk.
The truth is that I can't explain it. Other than to say sometimes I hear it.
For the life of me I can't describe it. I've sat in my room for hours trying to say it. I've tried to sing it in the shower. I've banged shit together to try to make it. I've used a synth ran through an obscene string of effects pedals and dicked around in pro tools until the shrooms wore off trying to recreate it. I never get close.
I've been hearing it for a long time. At first it was terrifying. I'd hear it in the middle of the night and start screaming in my bed. At first, my parents chalked it up to run of the mill night terrors. They got annoyed when I'd ask "what was that?" Or "where is that coming from?" when they heard nothing and I couldn't even describe it. They got worried when they realized I was serious.
Doctors thought it was neurological. Tests revealed nothing. There was concern I was just acting out and questions were raised about our home life. But we were happy enough. Nothing out of the ordinary and certainly no abuse. The diagnosis was eventually auditory hallucinations. And since I showed no other signs of mental illness, it was recommended that they get me on a strict sleep schedule, and see a therapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy.
I realized at this point even at a young age that this wasn't going away, and I no longer felt like I was in danger, so I might as well just pretend that it was working.
The only thing that bothered me, or rather, bothers me. I don't know what it is. Medical science has tried and failed. No textbook in any field, nor just Google for that matter, is useful when it's impossible to spell what you're trying to research.
I'm sure Joel Osteen would tell me Jesus will rid me of it if I send enough money. I had a guy at White Castle tell me he could stop it. I just have to give up all of my earthly possessions, go out to his totally not a commune farm, stop worrying about the guns and drink his bathwater once a day like all of his follo... I mean friends.
Honestly though I don't care that I hear it. Like I said, I don't feel like I'm in danger because of it, it stopped even being annoying long ago. I just can't help but wonder about it. Is it a word? Is it a code I need to break? Is it the name of some cosmic entity who wants me to be it's vanguard but doesn't yet understand our plane of existence well enough to know it's name is a sound that can't be made here? Am I hearing it when I hear it or just thinking about the last time I heard it.
Sometimes I hear it so much that it stops having meaning. Obviously it's never really had meaning.
The best way I can explain what I mean by that is to tell you to think about the penis game. You know, where you and your other annoying teenage friends would be at a park, or a McDonald's and just say penis louder and louder until someone makes you stop. At a certain point penis stops meaning a sexual organ. It no longer conjures images of a big veiny dong triumphantly at full mast. It's just noise. Sometimes it's just noise to me.
Honestly I'd like to just think Lovecraft isn't fiction. But I can't simply because he at least tried to spell his shit.
Every now and then the absurdity hits me in just the right way and I can't help but laugh. I just don't know.
I only know two things. The first is that I'll never know for sure. The second is that until the day I die, sometimes I'll hear it.

- Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
- Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with *what will sell.*You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity. - Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
- Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
- Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. **That they are congruent with and trust.**It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is: - Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
- Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
- Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
- Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
- Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge ( that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level ( no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works. - Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
- Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
- Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
- Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way). - Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
- Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
- Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan.***And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days.***That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work. submitted by AutoModerator to Affordable_Courses [link] [comments] |
