2023.03.25 01:32 Repulsive-Lime7742 4kids saved S3
I am developing a newfound appreciation of season 3 because I feel like 4kids saved it. Season 3 might be boring, but I love how 4kids made it more enjoyable. Plus, that quote from episode 16 will forever stick with me every time I feel like I can’t do something. Cinèlume and Nickelodeon ruined it for me, but 4kids made S3 the best. The voice direction was at its best here.

2023.03.25 01:25 QUESTOTHETOP1 GAME 73 TAKEAWAYS
As this season slips away, my mind is forgetting to do these. My bad guys! Here are the 5 from last game:
- Jokic came here and Jokic'd. Not sure what else he could've done. Mans had 31-12-7 and barely broke out a sweat. Offensive board after offensive board, bodying big man after big man, and just abusing us on offense. No one on the team could stop him. To be fair, no one in the league can, but it just didn't seem like we even put up that good of a fight. People didn't look like they wanted to be out there and the effort was lackluster for the umpteenth game in a row.
- We let the Nuggets shoot a blistering 47% against us. One of the NBA's best three point shooting teams, and we gave them exactly what they wanted. Things really fell apart in the third quarter, where there were too many open threes given up, and they outscored us by 17 in that frame. We could never get back into the game after that. The usual mistakes were made. Wide open threes were given up to the wrong guys, and they buried them. What can we say.
- We had a ice cold night from the arc. None of our shooters or even players for that matter shot even above average from three. All of them were ice cold and nothing fell for any of them. No one canned more than 4 triples, and we shot 15% as a team. That's not going to take us anywhere. The key to winning in this league is either historic paint production or decent shooting from beyond the arc. We had neither tonight, so unsurprisingly we lost.
- KP had a nice game. He shot 11-17 from the field and finished with 25 points. He didn't really grab rebounds or do anything else though. Was a fairly easy 25 for KP in the first half, but the Nuggets tightened their defense in the second half and he couldn't get it going again. Tale as old as time. For me the biggest thing I want to see from KP this off-season is improvement in the consistency department. I'm not asking him to score 18 every quarter, but maybe space yourself out more and figure out how to play when the opponents switch it up and are more physical with you.
- Same goes for Deni as KP. He performed splendidly in the first half and got 2 points the rest of the game after Denver prevented him from going to his favored side and finish with his favored hand. Consistency is so key, and that's going to be the biggest thing I want to see Deni improve on next year.
A tough loss that likely puts a huge dent in the play in hopes, but what can you expect against the number one seed. SAS is a must win for play in. Let's see what happens.

2023.03.25 01:22 botheredbysmallstuff Season 4 is a masterpiece and it absolutely IS Fargo
I don't even have the energy to defend stuff on reddit anymore, so I'm just gonna leave this here. I have no idea what people saying this isn't a good season or that it isn't "Fargo"-like have in mind.
Stellar season. East/West may be the best individual episode of the whole series.
Season 3 and 2 are both tied as Top 1 for me, but this one comes close.

2023.03.25 01:21 switchcollector The wait for Season 2 did not pay off (at least in the premier)
I was so excited, I watched the first season over 3 times, and again last week with all my friends to prepare for 2x01 And after all of the hype and wait, it was really meh. They gave us zero answers to almost nothing from the Season 1 cliffhangers (the trailers had more than the whole episode had to offer), instead they added more questions without any satisfying answers to pay off. Idk, I just feel so down/disappointed after watching the premier episode. I really hope it won’t be the case for the remaining episodes. (I am not saying the show is bad or it won’t get better in the coming weeks, I’m crazy about Yellowjackets, and please get my point of the thread which is the episode not delivering after that long time of waiting before attacking me in the comments or downvoting this thread) Thanks.

2023.03.25 01:17 is-it-raining-yet The upside & downside to the jump good episode
In season 2 episode 1 we see Aku being a jerk mocking Jack by keeping the time portal he fought to get too beyond his reach then flying away with it. Later Jack befreinded some people who teach him to "Jump good" after that Aku later tries the same mockery with the time portal only for Jack to "Jump good" and ruin Aku's can't reach joke for good. While the upside Aku can't pull that trick again the fact of the matter is seeing as there are 3 more seasons to the show Jack obviously failed in getting back to the past with the time portal and will do so for many seasons to come from watching the show as a kid I didn't think much of how the ending went but after decades of not seeing the show and rewatching it as an adult I now saw the downside

2023.03.25 01:03 realtrillijuana rewatching season 11 episode 1 and does anyone else feel like if mimi never instigated that first issue with sarah things would have been different?
Rewatching season 11 i'm only on episode 1 but there's a scene after Tess leaves when they go to the club. Jaz forgot her wallet and Teresa covers for her, Sarah says this in her interview, and then Mimi says she wants to stir shit up with Sarah. She gets in a taxi with a different group of girls and says Sarah is not loyal because she didn't cover for Jaz. Later on in an interview Tiana says she's mad at Sarah for her complaining about having to cover Jaz. But Sarah didn't have to cover Jaz? The whole incident was confusing and obviously all misconstrued by Mimi but I wonder if it had never happened if maybe the whole house wouldn't have ended up hating her.
But she is pretty annoying so maybe they still would have lol.

2023.03.25 00:32 epoch_fail MLB Pipeline's 2023 Prospect Rankings
Notes (Hitters/Fielders)
- Risers: Werner Blakely (15 to 8), Kyren Paris (19 to 10)
- Steady (+/- 2): Logan O'Hoppe, Zach Neto, Edgar Quero, Denzer Guzman, Adrian Placencia, Jeremiah Jackson, Nelson Rada
- Fallers: Randy De Jesus (16 to 25), Alexander Ramirez (17 to -), Arol Vera (18 to 29), Jordyn Adams (20 to 30), Jadiel Sanchez (28 to -)
- Newcomers: Livan Soto (wow), David Calabrese, both of whom were on the list in 2021
Notes (Pitchers)
- Risers: Chase Silseth (7 to 4), Walbert Urena (22 to 17), Mason Erla (24 to 18), Eric Torres (26 to 23), Ryan Costeiu (27 to 19), Victor Mederos (29 to 20), Nixon Encarnacion (30 to 24)
- Steady (+/- 2): Ky Bush, Sam Bachman, Ben Joyce, Caden Dana, Coleman Crow
- Fallers: Jake Madden (9 to 13), Landon Marceaux (10 to 22), Mason Albright (23 to -), Luke Murphy (25 to -)
- Newcomers: Jose Soriano, Jorge Marcheco
My Notes
Hitters
- Huge fall for Jordyn Adams, who was #3 on the Angels list in 2021, but is in danger of falling off altogether. Turns out drafting or signing guys with huge athletic gifts and hoping they figure it out is not a great strategy. Who knew? Jordyn Adams was drafted in the first round in 2018 and he batted an OPS of .650 across A+ and AA ball this past season. That's not what you want to see from a 23 year old. Contrast that with Edgar Quero, who is 19 and just batted .965 OPS at A ball, while Adams only reached around .700 OPS at A ball when he was 19 despite huge speed and raw power. There's still hope here, but with Adell graduating and other young outfielders making their way through the system (Nelson Rada, Randy De Jesus, David Calabrese), he's slowly running out of time.
- In what is proving to be a good problem to have, there's some positional overlap among the prospects. In addition to O'Hoppe and Quero, which I trust will sort itself out since Quero's timeline is quite a bit longer, decisions on infield personnel will have to be made between seven guys: Neto, Guzman, Blakely, Placencia, Jeremiah Jackson, Paris, and Livan Soto, most of whom play SS or 2B. Werner Blakely is the odd man out in that list who's mainly a 3B, but I figured I'd mention him because that's the other position the other guys would be asked to try out for if the logjam becomes cumbersome. Obviously, it's a few years until this problem rears its head for real, with Livan Soto the first one who will continue to get a crack at the lineup along with Michael Stefanic, probably followed by Zach Neto, Jeremiah Jackson, and Kyren Paris in due time. Also don't be surprised if any of them get moved for a hot OF or 1B prospect, since it's a bit thin there by comparison.
- FanGraphs' Depth Charts projects the Logan O'Hoppe to play regular time platooned with Stassi, a little playing time for Livan Soto, and some innings for Chase Silseth, Ben Joyce, and Eric Torres. Obviously, this is not a cut-and-dry projection, but it's certainly telling how so many of the worthwhile prospects are currently with the Trash Pandas.
- No 1B and only 1 3B in the top 30. Just thought that was interesting.
Pitchers
- The plan to only pick pitchers for one draft seems to be paying off, though it wasn't necessarily the people we were expecting all along. Seven pitchers: Bachman, Bush, Marceaux, Costeiu, Silseth, Torres, and Erla, were drafted in 2021, with Costeiu (7th), Silseth (11th), Torres (14th), and Erla (17th) spread out around later rounds.
- Generally speaking, Chase Silseth, Ben Joyce, Jake Madden, and Caden Dana (along with 28th rounder Coleman Crow) proved that you don't have to be drafted in the first couple rounds (Bachman, Bush, Detmers before, etc.) to emerge as a top prospect in the minors, and there's a nice mix of potential starters, relivers, and middle relievers down there.
- I don't know if it's the person ranking these doing better or just the recognition for certain players catching up to them, but I remember looking through the stats for the minor league teams and wondering why guys like Eric Torres and Coleman Crow (21 and already a workhorse at AA) didn't show up on the prospects ranking. It also made me wonder how guys like Jordyn Adams and Arol Vera took so long to fall. Luckily, those inconsistencies have now been rectified.
Not Listed
- The other guys I'm keeping an eye out for are Trey Cabbage (
catcher OF/1B/3B in AA who was hitting well until he was sidelined for the rest of last season with injury), Kolton Ingram (solid numbers as a reliever in AA), and Robinson Pina (SP who crushed it at A+, was moved straight to AAA, and got predictably shelled, so he'll probably be brought back down to AA).
