Hi guys
I was diagnosed t2 on November 7 2022 with an a1c of 9.2.
I went to the doctor for a yeast infection I honestly never even considered diabetes, it just never crossed my mind. My usual doctor was on leave and a visiting doctor called me exactly one day later (practically unheard of because my clinic is so busy). He told me I was diabetic and my blood glucose was very high and I needed to come in immediately. He honestly scared the ish out of me the next day. He put me on a strict keto diet, 2 hours of exercise everyday and 500mg x2 daily metformin.
Those first couple of months were hard. I’m a baker, I bake when I’m stressed or overwhelmed and my one avenue (I know it was unhealthy) was suddenly gone. I thought I was going to die. I had been feeling numbness in my legs and fingertips and my vision would occasionally get blurry. My symptoms combined with the gravity of my doctors speech kind of made me depressed. I went on like that until my primary care physician was back from her break. She said keto was extreme and since she knows my personality she said making all these changes at once is not good for my mental health. I spoke to a dietitian and started a high fibre low carb diet. I felt marginally better about life. Funny how bread will do that.
Yesterday I got my 3 month blood results back and I’m at 5.1 A1c.
I sobbed. I didn’t even realize I was so overwhelmed thinking I was gonna die. Everyone kept repeating “you’re too young” (I’m 27) and it just made me feel shittier. I just felt the whole time that I didn’t really get the support I needed- I felt like I was being bullied for my condition by family and doctors when all I wanted was support. I mean it was already hard enough and I kept thinking don’t you think I already said all these hurtful things to myself?!
I say all this to say if you’re someone who’s newly diagnosed, don’t listen to the comments blaming you disguised as caring and love. You’ve got this! ❤️
Also: thank you so much to everyone in this subreddit who made a post or commented on one, it made me feel like I wasn’t alone.

Hello folks, A few days ago I turned 20, and I've been reminiscing on the music I found when I was 19, not sure why.
For some reason 19 was an age of musical discovery for me, I found 2 new bands (to me, anyways), discovered a love for one I'd heard previously, and rediscovered a fourth. May not be a lot for some but this is more than I had found in the previous 5 years combined, I'm sure.
The new to me bands are Soul Coughing and Galactic.
Soul Coughing is strange, if you were a fan of Cartoon network in the late 90's and early 2000's you may have heard 2 of their songs on a segment called CN Groovies. The songs are "Circles" and "Rolling." Both are off their El Oso album.
I found them after my mother told me about them on a road trip, after their song "Super Bon Bon" came on the Spotify playlist we were listening to. She told me how apparently they were devicive, you either loved or hated them. From then on I was hooked, and all 3 of their albums would have a place in my personal top 10 albums of all time.
Galactic is a band that's funky as hell based out of New Orleans. I found them by random chance. I just happened upon an "artists from New Orleans" section on Spotify and there they were. I didn't even mean to listen to them, I accidentally tapped on their album "Ruckus" and thought I'd give it a listen. That set off a chain of events that would place Galactic at number 5 on my Spotify wrapped.
Number 2 on my Spotify Wrapped was Red Vox, who I'd known about for a while, but only really delved into them this past year. The vocalist for this band happens to be a YouTubetwitch streamer I have followed for close to a decade at this point. I'd heard of his side project and heard that it was good, but never really listened to them until recently. They released an album this month, probably my favorite from them so far.
The fourth band I'd been meaning to talk about is a band called Umphrey's McGee. I'd actually seen them live some years ago, I was probably around 15 or 16, but I hated it. I'd only ever heard one of their albums, Zonkey, and they didn't play a single song I recognized. Oh well, I wasn't at the concert for me so who cares. Problem is, it got worse, I was sleep deprived, and to top it all off, a light from the stage would just constantly be in my eye, no matter if I stood or sat, it would be shining directly in my eyes, and it was too crowded to move out of the way. I was miserable.
Flash forward to 2022. I'm playing some VR game, and it has a music player, I put on some Primus, as I normally do, and let it play. After the song I was listening to ends, "In the Kitchen" comes on. Uh oh, here we go again, another album takes over my life, the second one this year since Ruckus by Galactic.
Anchor Drops is my favorite album ever. There is only one song I don't like on it, that being "Bullhead City." every other song is a complete bop. Their other stuff is great too. So I guess I'll be seeing them live again, this time I'll like it, hopefully. Won't let those damn lights get me again, and I'll get adequate sleep ahead of time.
Wow.. this was a bit long winded, but I guess you get that when you're passionate about something. Oh well, hope this wasn't too sucky to read.

I just need to vent. July 2021, my daughter, in her twenties, went to a friend's house for a swim party to celebrate 4th of July. Mid-afternoon, she decides to drive to the mall for who knows what reason, and hits three cars while making a too-wide turn (beyond the median). The police drove her home and impounded her car, but only charged her with reckless driving. Her story made no sense and my husband and I suspected that she'd been drinking, but she wouldn't admit to it at the time. The damage to her car alone cost the insurance company close to $5000. Because of covid, it took months for her car to get fixed, so she used mine.
Fast forward to November 2022. She calls us from the hospital with a story that again made no sense, saying she needed us to pick her up. She'd been in an accident, but couldn't remember what she'd hit (turned out she'd hit an electrical box). When we got there, she had a bloody gauze pad on her inner elbow. We asked a lot of questions and she finally admitted that she'd been driving drunk and been charged with DUI (but the cop told her it would be dropped once the results came back lol) and the bloody gauze was from the blood alcohol test that they had to do twice. Whatever. Insurance totalled her car and paid for a new one.
We helped with setting up therapy, and she stopped drinking. She said all the right things and we were hopeful because she seemed to be doing well. She truly seemed to understand how lucky she was that no one got hurt and seemed to take responsibility for her actions. All lies.
Tonight we got a call from a police department an hour plus away. They needed someone sober to come get her and her car. 2nd DUI. Third accident in less than three years. She claimed she'd been on the way to work. Wtf?
She's about to go through some very serious things, and rightfully so. I get that she's an alcoholic, but it doesn't make me any less angry or horrified at all the lives she's put at risk (including her own).
She apparently vomited in her car. I told my husband to let her clean it up herself, because we can't fix it for her. I have to do some serious thinking about whether I want to pick her up from "wherever" next time she or the police calls. Frankly, I wish the police would just hold her overnight and stop coddling her. She's admitted that after the first accident, she cried to get out of the DUI.
I'm angry. I'm scared. Fed up. At times on the verge of tears. So many emotions. Thanks for listening.

My testosterone level came 253 ng/ml and reference range was 2 to 8 My ultrasound show 3rd grade left side varicocele And my testicles size was 3.8cm right and 3.4cm left
But my sperm analysis came normal according to doctor 50% good motility 10% sluggish 40% dead
180 millions sperm per ejaculation
April 22, 2023 I got the varicocele surgery and since then No improvement I didn't get Testosterone test after surgery but there is no improvement in mood and erection and morning wood

Today I'm going to get Testosterone test again if it come low again then i will think about TRt
Bur i heard that trt cause low sperm count and testicular atrophy.......

I'm 4 weeks off from a my marathon taper of 3 weeks and I'm just starting to develop minor knee pain while running. Its a new discomfort as I've mainly had to deal with minor calf issues and achilles issues in the past. Therefore, I'm not too sure on what's going on and how to deal with it, hence my question here!
I would say it's post-12km/8 mile that I develop a slight niggle in my left knee mostly, and a little in my right knee. I wouldn't describe the pain as sharp. It kind of feels like a rubbing sensation mixed with my knee not feeling properly connected to the rest of my body (?). I keep running until the point I feel like I absolutely need to stop to give it a slight rub and a bit of rest - continuing seems counter-intuitive to my relaxed and safe approach to easy runs. I've ended up stopping quite a few times these last two runs. I'm of the opinion that it lead to an injury soon.
I've got a 30km LR, all out HM (targeting sub-1:35), 28km hilly run and 32km LR lined up.
Please recommend stretches, strength training, cross training or anything else that might help and why! I have no idea what to do.
TLDR: I r a kook, injured knee what to do?

Told her she should be fine since Gamestop did officially distribution Jirachi, but it has been 13 years and she was concerned whether or not is this... "Starvia" is still legit at this point.
She should be okay transferring that Pokemon all the way up there, shouldn't she?

Some time in 2020 I bought a car from someone off Facebook. I was fresh out of high school and when he gave me the title it was signed but he didn’t date it so I could put one when I was ready to go switch everything.
Like most used cars do, it broke down about two months later and pretty much became unusable.
Now that I want to get rid of it I realize I never switched the title.
What are the penalties for that, and would they be able to verify the date I put on it? I’m nervous to put a date in 2020 or even 2022.
I know it was a stupid mistake, just unsure of how to go about this.

While going through the most recent text with u/DaZip and LoruleanHistorian I learned a few things that I wanted to share.
While performing index of coincidence scoring on the entire monument plus the words in the art book along with both murals from the October 2022, several of us found that the score was lower. For non-random text in Romaji, you’d expect to see a score close to 0.089 (normalized).
All the text, however, was scoring at 0.080. This was incredibly weird for a few reasons, mainly because even if one or two words was in English, the score should drop to below 0.080. That was until we performed index of coincidence scoring on the Sheikah tapestry before it was contextualized into Hepburn Romaji.
The original Sheikah tapestry after being transliterated from Sheikah, is in Kunrei-Shiki Romaji, which has its own sets of rules for processing. A great example of that is that with Hebo, you would expect to see mostly correct romanized syllables spelled out, especially for sounds like ち、し、つ (chi, shi, tsu). In Kunrei, things like ti, si, ts can be commonly found.
Why does this matter?
The frequency distributions used for making educated guesses based on Kunrei are not the same as Hebo (Hepburn). It’s truly the little details that make all the difference. It was this detail that enabled us, along with others to find a real, near perfect solution to the runes.
We are working as hard as we can to pack all this information up, and just as last time, I wanted to start sharing information while we have multiple native speakers verify the solution.

A great example of that is that with Hebo, you would expect to see mostly correct romanized syllables spelled out, especially for sounds like ち、し、つ (chi, shi, tsu). In Kunrei, things like ti, si, ts can be commonly found.
Why does this matter?
The frequency distributions used for making educated guesses based on Kunrei are not the same as Hebo (Hepburn). It’s truly the little details that make all the difference. It was this detail that enabled us, along with others to find a real, near perfect solution to the runes.
We are working as hard as we can to pack all this information up, and just as last time, I wanted to start sharing information while we have multiple native speakers verify the solution.

This is a dumb question but I have to ask because I just now noticed this. When did PaperInkArts.com and johnnealbooksellers.com merge into the same business? I'm assuming someone bought someone out, but if you look, both are located at 113 Graylynn Dr, in Nashville, TN. The only thing I could find, and admittedly after just a very short search, all I found was the following on JNBs website "In May of 2022, we moved our shipping and operations to 113 Graylynn Dr, in Nashville, TN"
Does anybody know who bought who out, and better yet, why there are discrepancies in pricing if they're in the same building. If I order something from PIA, it's going to come from the same bin that JNBs nibs are sold out of. So, I'm just curious as to why this is so. I love PIA, as they've always seemed to be the more courteous group when it comes to shipping (I signed up for express delivery, next day, for an extra 25 dollars, and I woke up to a phone call from PIA letting me know that, because it only takes the mail a day to get from Nashville to my hometown, they were refunding me the extra shipping and handling, which brought the price of my order WAYYY down. My grandfather died the day before my 23rd birthday. And I just now made the realization that I wish he died on my birthday. I spent all of 2021 living with my grandfather, 3 hours away from home and being his full time caregiver. We spent every hour of every day together until his health declined and he was hospitalized in February of 2022. He bounced from the hospital to physical rehab until we found his final resting place, in my hometown where my parents were, in a home. He was only there for a couple of weeks. I was on my way to see him when I got the call from my mom. I practically had to steal my best friend's mom's car to go see him. I think I still went to see him because I didn't believe it. But there he was, my dad sitting next to him. I got to say my goodbyes, but they didn't feel like real goodbyes. Because he was already gone. Everyone in my family told me how glad they were that he didn't die in my actual birthday, in fear of it being tarnished or something. But I wish he had passed one day later, because then it would mean I would have gotten to actually see him, alive and breathing one last time.

Hopefully this isn't too long:
My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 years. I am now 24 and he is 29.
Our relationship has begun to involve more real life activities in the last 24 months because I was away at college for most of our relationship. I have begun to realize that my boyfriend may lack the responsibility traits needed to be a successful adult. (Job, car, housing, insurance, saving for retirement)
We have had conversations about this and he says that he will get better with time management, money spending, keeping a job, etc. At first, I was willing to accept that I would have to guide him sometimes but now I think that he has started to rely on me as a crutch even after I told him the added stress that it makes me feel. I feel like I have to be a mother to him or "wear the pants" in our life together.
I decided to put my foot down and make an ultimatum. He has to move out and at least get a roommate by the time I graduate in the summer of 2024. We agreed to this in the middle of 2022.
Am I being too harsh? I want him to show me that he can be diligent, responsible, and forward thinking. Is it possible that I am forcing him to be something that he is not? Would it be better to walk away?
He says that he barely sleeps and eats because of the ultimatum/stress. He said that I am giving him a lot of stress and he thinks that I am making him choose me or his grandparents (which is not my intention).
Ps. He was also partially raised by his grandparents because his mother is not responsible at all.
This is my first relationship. My mom wants us to go to therapy and work it out. I'm not sure if it will help although we both are open to going (our reasons why are different though - whole nother story)

Hi, I'm having trouble accessing my pokemon save data from my sysnand. I've using modified version of reclaimed shawn's video in order to transfer my save to the emunand for pkhex sheninagians and then transferring back. However since the 1.20 update, the savemeta (000XX) file and its other file (01.meta) have not been updating after saving in-game. The game will still reflect any changes after saving. Any idea whats going on?
Also I don't mind if someone else has another method between transferring my OFW save to my CFW.

Disclaimer this is going to be a long post sorry in advance
To preface: 22 yr old female. Started period late at age 14 and terrible excruciating debilitating cramps on my period. My period lasted about 10 days (heavy bleeding). Family history of endo. My gyno said that I was not cycling for enough years to determine if I had endo. I started BC at 18 and have had light cramping and 3 day long periods since being on the pill.
Fast forward to Dec 2021 (2 years being on bc) I had my first experience of blood in my urine. Saw a urologist and at first I thought it was a kidney stone but that would later be ruled out. Negative for UTI. After this experience I had the full work up done, labs, ct with contrast, ultrasound, cystoscope, and multiple urinalysis… all came back perfect. My urologist had thrown around the term IC but never gave that definitively. Basically just said we will keep an eye on it.
Went basically a full year with no problems. Saw my urologist every three months for a check in and everything was seeming fine. The only complaint I had was the occasional urinary pain after intercourse (this matters for later). But would always come back with negative uti results.
Beginning of Dec 2022 had my second experience with blood in my urine and this time it was bright bright red blood. Was put on Cipro while we ruled out uti. The result came back and I was told that I did in fact have a very bad uti this time and was then switched to a different antibiotic since Cirpo wouldn’t treat e.coli and was told all symptoms would clear up. Everything seemed fine and gone until the very last day of the month with the symptoms came right back. This was drying new years so all doctors were closed. I called my primary’s pager number in hopes to just get an antibiotic started while I waited for an appointment at the urology office. She wrote me a script for cipro……. Took that for a week since I was now on a vacation and never got called with my urine results. Turned out the e.coli never went away but I found this out after that course of cipro antibiotic. Min January(2023) I was started on a completely different antibiotic, which I would take 10 days and then back to the office to get retested and make sure the infection is gone. This time it was, urine came back negative and all clear of any infection.
February 2023 I started feeling all the symptoms of another uti. Luckily was scheduled for a routine check in with my gyno and she went ahead and tested my urine. Negative for uti but she did find trace signs of blood in my urine. At this point I was thinking could I have a yeast infection from all the antibiotics? She did a full work up; negative for all STI, BV, and a yeast infection. After a week the symptoms just subsided on their own.
March 2023 the uti symptoms are back. Been in agony for a week now feeling like I have a uti and have just waited to see if it will go away on its own. I’ve avoid the doctors bc I’m just tired of hearing that it’s nothing.
I went back into the record I’ve been keeping of each time I’ve had these uti symptoms and it’s is always between 8-10 days before or 5-10 days after my period. Is this a coincidence? I feel like my bladder isn’t empty and have the constant urge to pee. I have excruciating pain when I do go pee but no blood luckily. I feel more relief from the uti sensations when I’m on my period I think. My periods are now light and not painful but I’m on BC. I do experience pain during intercourse. I’m thinking maybe endo?
I’m at a total loss at this point and I feel like I have no answers. Should I push for an exploratory laparoscopy to look for lesions? Has anyone had a similar experience? I’d appreciate any feedback, and thank you if you read this far.

This time it was, urine came back negative and all clear of any infection.
February 2023 I started feeling all the symptoms of another uti. Luckily was scheduled for a routine check in with my gyno and she went ahead and tested my urine. Negative for uti but she did find trace signs of blood in my urine. At this point I was thinking could I have a yeast infection from all the antibiotics? She did a full work up; negative for all STI, BV, and a yeast infection. After a week the symptoms just subsided on their own.
March 2023 the uti symptoms are back. Been in agony for a week now feeling like I have a uti and have just waited to see if it will go away on its own. I’ve avoid the doctors bc I’m just tired of hearing that it’s nothing.
I went back into the record I’ve been keeping of each time I’ve had these uti symptoms and it’s is always between 8-10 days before or 5-10 days after my period. Is this a coincidence? I feel like my bladder isn’t empty and have the constant urge to pee. I have excruciating pain when I do go pee but no blood luckily. I feel more relief from the uti sensations when I’m on my period I think. My periods are now light and not painful but I’m on BC. I do experience pain during intercourse. I’m thinking maybe endo?
I’m at a total loss at this point and I feel like I have no answers. Should I push for an exploratory laparoscopy to look for lesions? Has anyone had a similar experience? I’d appreciate any feedback, and thank you if you read this far.

Hello! Posting here before my doctors appointments because I'm just feeling a bit worried about it and would love to hear other people's experiences and perspectives.
I started 150 wellbutrin XL towards the end of August 2022. I was going through an extremely traumatic and stressful time in my life, and it helped tremendously for a few weeks. Then one day, I forgot to take it, and after that it became a habit to not take it at the right time or at all. I began to feel restless, and started drinking so much that I was afraid I was becoming an alcoholic. I ended up becoming a regular at some local bar in a shitty town and got involved with people I usually wouldn't, while engaging in toxic behaviors and constantly fighting with an ex of mine. It got so bad one day that my best friend had to take me to the hospital because I was experiencing the worst depression of my life. I was inpatient for around a week, and they prescribed me 10mg of lexapro along with my wellbutrin.
A little while after I got out, my psychiatrist increased my dosage to 300. I've been taking that since the end of December. Since the increase, I have felt so happy. So hopeful. So good. I stopped drinking, I stopped associating with toxic people I felt addicted to, etc. I haven't missed a dose or felt depressed or restless at all and have been more motivated and hopeful overall.
I've always been a spiritual person, and believed in things such as the law of attraction/manifestation, astrology etc. Recently, I've been trying to use manifestation as a tool to help me achieve my goals and writing down the things I'm grateful for every day. I listen to music that has affirmations in them, and have integrated them into my art as well. I genuinely feel like things are going to well for me in my personal, spiritual, creative, and business life.
Although I've been feeling so wonderful, I am starting to become afraid that I am slipping into or have been in a hypomanic episode. I've only experienced depression before, whether subtle or prominent, so I'm not really used to feeling this way for so long. Recently I haven't been able to sleep at night or stay asleep. I've been sleeping maybe 4-6 hours a night, while waking up in between. I feel a little tired throughout the day, but still have some energy (not enough to clean my entire house or anything usually). I have been feeling very confident lately, as I've started to dress the way I always wanted to, and I've been creating art that is well loved and doing in person markets while making new connections. I feel magnetic. I feel beautiful. I feel like I can tell when someone finds me attractive. I feel like I have amazing energy that causes people to gravitate towards me.
While I'm concerned about the lack of sleep and confidence, I am mostly concerned about the fact that I shoplifted an entire cart of groceries/clothes/home decor today. I had been reading up on it a lot recently, and I decided that I just wanted to do it. I didn't do it because I needed to or to sell the items, I think I just did it because I wanted some new things or for the thrill or because I'm tired of large corporations being so greedy. I just put everything in my cart, and walked out the door confidently. No one (that I noticed) looked at me any way or followed me or seemed suspicious. I assume because the entire time I acted like I wasn't doing anything wrong.
I don't necessarily feel morally guilty about it (although I'm prepared for the comments about why I probably should), it was nice to finally be able to get some new things for myself after working so hard, going through so much trauma, and having to put all of my money towards bills/back into my business. I'm not really afraid of getting caught because I know the laws, I know how their security works, I know the process of convicting someone for theft from that specific store (I used to work there years ago). I know the whole deal with the building a case until you hit a felony amount of money etc. So it's not like I did this impulsively without any prior knowledge or anything.
Anyways, sorry for such a long post, I just wanted to include everything so that you guys can get a better perspective. I'm just wanting to know if the lack of sleep could just be caused by the increased energy from the wellbutrin, if my confidence really is just the result of using positive affirmations and utilizing the law of attraction, and if me shoplifting really was just a one time thing and result of me wanting to 'treat' myself after working so hard and essentially being fed up with capitalism.
...or if all of these things really do indicate hypomania, and if I should be worried. I really want things to continue going well for me, I want to continue feeling good and better about myself and creating meaningful art and being in tune with myself spiritually. I'm trying to be as self aware as possible so I can hopefully prevent myself from slipping into any destructive behaviours again.
