On the wall in the great hall you see a painting of Manigant. You recall Arasemis’s story about this early alchemist. He was a physician in Almeria, back in the Old World, for an ancient king named Byornrud. The king was despised but Manigant dutifully served him for many years.
After various atrocities were committed by Byornrud against his own people, Manigant attempted to secretly poison him. The plot failed, killing one of Byornrud’s lieutenants instead, and Manigant fell under suspicion. Later, when the king’s beautiful queen died after being treated by Manigant, Byornrud had him put to death despite his insistence that he had not been responsible for her death.
Although Manigant’s life predates the colonial period in Pemonia, the members of the Order of Candlestone remember him as among the earliest recorded alchemists who attempted to overthrow a malicious king.
This is the oldest painting in the room, but you think the artist's antique style is interesting.

Hello all, thanks for taking your time to read this.
As the title says, this is in Project Ozone 3, version 3.4.11F.
I recently decided to get going with a good weapon, and realized the best sword would probably be the Epeolatry. Wanting a ranged weapon, I went for a shuriken.
I found a very, very long comment from u/cronnuscraft. In it they detailed how to make probably one of the best shurikens possible. To do this however I had to re-add PlusTiC, since it was removed after the incident with the author.
With that out of the way, I am left wondering how I can level it any faster. I'm at the stage where I'm leveling to add more and more sharpness, but now I need 64000 XP to level up from Heroic.
So far, I've found out that iron golems give roughly 100xp per kill, whereas other mobs only give 20-40 XP. Withers won't take damage past half health (I have the enderium knife blade, this shouldn't be an issue, check the comment above for more information) and the Ender Dragon doesn't give any XP.
Am I stuck with killing another 640 iron golems to level up? and then another 1280?
Please help!

BERLIN - Berlin voters were asked Sunday to decide on a proposal that would force the city government to drastically ramp up the German capital's climate goals.
The referendum calls for Berlin to become climate neutral by 2030.
The target means that in less than eight years, the city would no longer be allowed to contribute further to global warming.
The center-right Christian Democratic Union, which won a recent local election in the capital and is likely to lead its new government, opposes the earlier target but would be bound to implement it if the referendum passes.
A rally and concert at the city's iconic Brandenburg Gate drew far fewer than the 35,000 people organizers had hoped for.
The referendum requires the support of at least 25% of the city's 2.4 million eligible voters to pass - something that could be harder to achieve on a day when no other voting is taking place.

In one configuration of my AV setup, I want the AVR to output audio to my TV. For various reasons I need to “trick” the AVR into doing this (it will only output audio on its speaker outs).
Is there a way I can connect a speaker terminal to one of the TV’s audio ins? It has L/R terminals as well as the usual HDMI. (It’s a Sony KDL 47W805A.)

Hi. I have some measurements of the accelerometer on the mpu 6050, and I can't seem to understand the resonant peaks in the frequency spectrum. All measurements are with the accelerometer at rest. See the plot for the peaks. Why are these showing up? Am I not supposed to measure white noise? Why only for x and y? The fundamental frequency seems to be 1.3 Hz. I have re orientated the sensor between each measurement, so that gravity was in parallel with the measured axes each time.

Vladimir Putin has claimed the West cannot sustain weapons supplies to Ukraine.
According to the US-based Institute for the Study of War, Russia's President is trying to create the impression that Western support for Ukraine is "Futile", though his claims are false.
The West has supplied Ukraine with billions of euros in military aid, including long-range missiles, artillery, tanks and drones, since the war began in February.
Speaking on a state-owned news channel on Saturday, Putin claimed western defence production cannot match Russia's, with the Russian president announcing that 1,600 new tanks will be built by the end of 2023.
"Putin's messaging is intended to persuade the West to commit less of that potential to supporting Ukraine by convincing the West, falsely, that it cannot match Russia."

I have a center fed dipole (RG-8) that was working great until it suddenly showed a high SWR. I checked with my antenna analyzer and it showed a few ohms of R and tens of ohms of X on most bands.
I pulled it down thinking it was shorted at the center but could find no obvious short. I did the following tests:
My other thought is there is water intrusion at the joined connection since it was raining when it happened.
However, I would expect open coax to have an infinite SWR on the analyzer and not a low Z that results in an SWR of 16-25:1
my coax is acting like a capacitor in some sense: open circuit to DC but still passing RF that is frequency dependent.

I’m an expat from South America, and I’ve been living in the UK since September 2021. I just wanted to share a little bit about my experience here so far. Making friends has been tough, but I’ve managed to meet some wonderful people and make some friends with other expats from different LatAm countries. However, lately, the weather has been really getting me down. In fact, my therapist is even suggesting that I consider medication.
But on Friday, my partner (who is also a latino expat) messaged one of our expat friends. This friend told us that he and his wife had just returned from their vacations but that they’re moving to Australia next week as he got a new job and he was required to be there asap.
This friend invited my partner and I to his flat yesterday, and the four of us spent all afternoon cooking and talking. The wife confided in me that she couldn't wait to leave because the weather has been affecting her really badly too, and that’s why they’ve been on holidays since December. She told me that she wanted to talk to me because she knew I’d understand as her husband (like my partner) is not affected by the UK weather and does not empathize with her.
At night, the four of us went to a Latin party and had a really good time. But today, the reality that they’re leaving hit me, and I’ve been crying and feeling really sad since I woke up. I’m happy for them, but also there’s a part of me that feels abandoned, lonely, and wonders if making friends is even worth it when the reality is that most likely we will never see each other again.
I’m not sure why I’m feeling so affected by this, but for the past two weeks, I noticed a marked worsening of my mood for no apparent reason.
I guess I just wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has gone through something similar. It's tough being an expat, and sometimes it can be lonely, but I'm glad that I've made some friends here. If anyone has any advice on how to deal with the sadness of friends leaving, I'd be really grateful to hear it.

When my laptop is in rest just on desktop, it stays around 75-77 °C which is on the picture . I have noticed a problem after seeing High stuttering in League of Legends, from 140FPS drastically to 30 and goes back up to 100 and so on .. Cleaned my laptop yesterday, opened it and wasn't looking too bad but gave it a clean anyway. The game is unplayable it literally feels like I'm playing on a 2015 laptop or something.. I only had this laptop for exactly a year.

Hi! I started with AI generation when Discodiffusion was brand new, and would love to catch up a little on SD. I used it until 2.1 models, but it seems to me that people somehow ended up pushing the tool's capabilities with the fine-tuning of 1.5 models.
Does merging models have an actual impact on the "intelligence" of the AI itself? Like, does it gain new references or knowledge of new objects with every new model merged into another?
I'm also curious about the opinion you guys have regarding what kind of future we can expect in open-source AI generation in the following months. I've seen cool progress with ControlNet (thus fine-controlling the outputs), but apart from that, I kinda feel like the curve has plateaued a bit in terms of actual groundbreaking tech. Which actual tech do you guys think we should really get asap?
I tend to be involved with people casually debating stuff like AIs providing full-length movies, but I do believe the average person doesn't realize how much computing power such a thing would require, at least for an individual. Maybe it's the opposite, and I'm the one missing something.
Still, my assumption is that since we as solo creators always require expensive GPUs for quick results, we may not reach that cool state of the art that soon, maybe just the big studios, which already own enough tools to produce stuff that will still outperform AI. For instance, if nowadays consumerism or current social networks depend on constantly consuming "content", a quick video straight from your phone's camera will still be faster content, hence rendering the final utility of AI as an actor in our socials.
