So I’ve ( 24M) been with my (23F) girlfriend for around two years now. And we are both going on a three month holiday. She is a really good girlfriend and I love her so much. She is my first real relationship. So we are going on seperate holidays. I have only been with her and I know there will be lots of times that opportunity’s could arise themselves. Should we have a break? I feel like it will haunt me not exploring things while in my twenties. I feel like saying to her what are your thoughts on a break? if we met someone on a night out to just go with the flow and whatever happens, happens and that it will all be left overseas and to not go looking for it but if it happens. On the other hand what imagine if you accidentally cheated and it ruined the whole relationship and you would feel miserable knowing what you did for the whole time your away? Thoughts guys

Hello all,
Me and my girlfriend have been together for about a year now and this is starting to become a reoccurring issue that I’m struggling to work through. For reference we live separately but usually are together on the weekends. I’ve brought up before to her that I feel she regularly questions what I do, and it feels condescending/judgey. She assured me that is just how she speaks and means no harm, and that I am being defensive/assigning negativity to her questions when there is none.
A few examples that have irritated me are; asking why I always put my deodorant on after getting dressed instead of before, why I parked in a certain spot when we’re going out shopping, why I put my toothpaste on after I wet my toothbrush, why did I turn the house light on when I could have just opened the blinds some more, why do I fold towels a certain way when putting them away, etc.
Unfortunately while I’ve tried my best I am still getting irritated and unsure if I should bring this issue up yet again and continue to try and work together on it, or if it is mostly my fault and I should try to just work on this internal issue alone/by myself.
tl:dr my girlfriend asks a lot of “why did you do x thing, in that way?” and while she assured me she means no harm, I still get irritated/self-conscious over the questions. Should I bring the issue up again, or is this something where I really do need to just work on myself?

Hey all, I regularly come back to thinking what I'd like to do for a career as would anyone. I graduated Year 12 VCE (Victoria, AUS) back in 2014 and have worked retail full-time without really ever studying for anything. I gave an electrical apprenticeship a go for a short while but that wasn't stimulating. I got pigeon holed in my position at Bunnings for 7 years; I tried to take up management roles but due to my high risk work license I believe I was pigeon holed simply into heavy machinery use. I've now moved over to a land surveying business as of 2 years ago through a friend and whilst it's not bad, I'm stuck out in the field full-time, rain, hail or shine. It's not particularly interesting, pays just as well as retail (ew) and requires a degree and a surveyors' license (8 years total) to make a little over 6 figures. Drafting with AutoCAD and such would be alright but the directors seem keen on keeping me a 'foot soldier.'
My time for a passion hasn't come yet so I'm purely thinking about money at the moment, which could go south with that way of thinking, but I'm tired of being on awful pay (54k before tax) without any qualifications to promote myself to employers. I luckily still live at home although they drop hints for me eventually move out - not sure how hard it is to balance university/tafe with rent but it's a scary thought. My other issue, although I LOVE them, are my tattoos. I've pretty much got all my sleeves done now with work on my back and such BUT I feel like I might not be able to crack into more professional jobs now because of them. I don't like the idea of becoming a tradesman as I like to be clean and inside where I can, this job has taught me that.
I was thinking of maybe doing something in economics, maybe purely because of learning about money and where to invest as I'm not knowledgeable in that field. Maybe like a tax agent or doing something in analytics. I was good with math in school but I haven't retained the knowledge since finishing a decade ago. I like to read about politics within Australia too, I can get heated about it! Don't know if that could translate to anything. But once again, I don't know if my tattoos make those fields impossible.
Should I just continue to sit on the thought until my hand is forced? I know I could study at any time as people say but I feel like I'm running out of time to make a good decision financially - I could maybe finish a degree before being kicked out whilst only paying minimal in board, you know? I'm very aware I have it extremely well off compared to many others but I'd like to take advantage of that now before I waste any more of that time I've been given. If I go hard now I might save myself the pain later on. Or should I maybe go into a degree that's quite broad like a bachelor degree of commerce and HOPE something hits me?

Of the 19 contested events in men’s swimming (14 individual and 5 relays), 12 of them have seen their fastest swim ever in this pool (7 individual and all relays).

I figured I’d start with football because I feel like it’s easy to narrow it down. My first thought was that it had to be any stadium with a NY6 bowl game, seeing as those have the most history. But, sometimes the venue changes; I think the only consistent stadium for the long-standing bowl games is the Rose Bowl. I’m kinda assuming that big games create big moments or big stats, but I know there are other crazy things that have happened at other stadiums. 222-0 at Bobby Dodd, Alabama’s insane win rate at Bryant-Denny, Albertsons’ blue turf, Memorial selling out almost 400 games in a row, etc.
Of course, there are absolutely massive stadiums that have hosted rivalry games for decades (e.g., Ohio Stadium or Beaver Stadium) or stadiums associated with an era/legendary play/player (California Memorial with The Play, Jordan-Hare’s Kick Six, the McCoy/Young years at Darrell K Royal). Basically, there’s a lot of history in a lot of places in college football, but what’s the stadium that just has some piece of college football lore that will never be topped?

Sorry for the long text but I feel this needs a bit of context. So I have a 5 year old westie that I've been caring for since she was about 2.5 ish. She's the sweetest dog ever and I love her so much. She's never been formally trained but in general she is very loving, well behaved and doesn't cause me any trouble whatsoever. However, there is one exception, when we are out she will bark like a maniac at any dog that goes by, but that only happens when we are sitting down (like on a bench, or at a coffee shop). When we are walking she is very well behaved and friendly to other dogs 99%, of the time. When I first started taking care of her she used to bark to every dog when we walked as well, but over time this has faded a ton. When my parents had her as a puppy and until 2.5 they didn't let her socialize with almost any other dog on walks because they were afraid of her getting ticks/fleas or parasites. This concern does have some validity as I live in a country where most dog owners don't take proper care of their dogs and don't do prevention. Also in their defense she did get a protozoan parasite when she was a puppy that was a pain to get rid off and we have found a flea on her once even though she gets prevention for those. However, when I started taking here out I felt bad not letting her go near other dogs so I decided to take my chances. I began to let her go near leashed dogs as long as she wasn't barking and the other dog looked friendly and decently clean. Very slowly over time I noticed that she barked at less and less dogs and now we've reached a point where she almost never barks unless the other dog barks first or is showing signs of aggression, and obviously in this situation we just walk away. So the problem is partially resolved, except for when we're are sitting down, there she goes nuts for every single dog. I've been trying for ages to understand if this is based in fear, or excitement, or if she's being protective of me or another reason. Recently I've been thinking that probably it's excitement and a lot of frustration from not being able to go meet the other dog. See when we're walking, we pass the other dog and she knows I'll let her go meet them (most of the time). But when we're sitting, I don't have control over that because I'm not going to get up to go after the people with the dog. So it's up to the other people if they want to bring their dog over but usually they don't because they just going about their own business or she scares them way with her crazy barking and they think she'll be aggressive so they don't come close, which I feel frustrates her even more.
Please tell me what you think the reason for this behavior is and what could I do to help her out? I want her to be calm in these situations and also I'd like to take her out more often but this kinda limits what we can do together.

I’m depressed for a long time now, since I was 8 I was showing depression symptoms. It’s for various reasons like dysphoria, early puberty (so confusion and more dysphoria), having to go through most of the school with undiagnosed adhd and autism thinking I’m broken and my rocky relationship with my parents.
I never could see my future. I don’t have a dream job, plans to have a family or even a relationship, I’m choosing college only on a basis that I tolerate the studies major and that it has a potential to get me a good paying job. I sometimes have this urge to move out far away and live off the land alone, but it’s not a realistic plan, but something to daydream about.
Over the last two years my depression really worsened, between getting covid, all the mess from school rapidly catching up to me, shitty relationship I was in and dealing with repercussions of coming out, I started to feel really suicidal. Not even passively suicidal, but constantly imagining violent ways I could do it and being very close to doing it when drunk and feeling impulsive.
But I didn’t do it, no matter how shitty I felt and no matter how little will to live I had left. Besides my cats (obviously, it seems to be a motivator for a lot of depressed people from what I see) the only thing stopping me to commit was hope that one day I’ll transition.
And I kinda did. I got on antidepressants that work, I started hrt, I’m in the process of applying for top surgery, I’m feeling much better than I used to. There’s still a lot of things before me, but at least it’s not a thing in a distant future that seems unachievable, but a thing that’s actively happening.
I still can’t see my future. I still don’t have any passion for anything and I’m still done with other people bullshit. Basically I shouldn’t have a reason to live, considering my lack of plans and hope for any future and the shitty cards I’ve been dealt. But I have a reason to keep going and it’s ironically the thing that got me depressed in the first place. I just don’t want to finish living, when I don’t feel like I have even started it, I want to live to the moment when I can look in a mirror and see a man.
I have no idea what I’ll do after that and if I’ll find another reason to keep going and something to give meaning to my life. But for now it gives me some goal to achieve, something that I don’t want to give up on.

I've had issues with LOTM's plot holes such as Klein always getting the right deductions despite there being numerous other explanations or Klein knowing what certain imagery represents because he has mystical knowledge, i.e. snake=snake of fate, with zero explanation as to how he came to that conclusion.
Now I am encountering similar plot holes as back then and would like to see if anyone can provide convincing explanations for them.

1. Why wouldn't Lumian update his warlock sister on the padre's conversation immediately, nor tell her about someone using their blue book to send a coded message? Instead, he waits until he deciphers the message before telling her. I don't get why he hides the information even while Madame Paulis enters their house again, with her being suspected of being a beyonder and manipulating their belongings for some nefarious purpose. The writing kind of makes him look careless and the sister useless.
2. Why does Madame Paulis seem unfazed at having her adultery exposed? Wouldn't a normal person bribe/silence the witnesses to prevent their husband from finding out. There was some explanation for why it wouldn't be beneficial for Lumian to reveal the affair, however, that is insufficient for an adulterer to rest on their laurels. It would be a lose-lose but Pualis stands to lose a whole lot more than Lumian. Yet she shows zero concern over the matter. Is this character really meant to be believable?
3. Additionally, in chapter 22, he remembers his sister talking about makeshift paper armor and its weaknesses. Is that really a plausible conversation? That is such a niche solution that I can't see it ever coming up in conversation. "If you really have to, tie books to your body for protection"? That is not even considering it's abysmal efficacy.

Does anyone else find the writing/translation sloppy in LOTM and COI or is it just me?

about 3 weeks ago after about an hour or two of usage different programs start losing responsiveness and graphical bugs start all over. sometimes windows leaving smears, sometimes flickering, sometimes its just frozen but the computer is still playing a video but the screen is frozen. desktop background is black, really weird issues like that, i cant remember them all right now but'
some important things:
-Computer says no graphics driver is installed
-Trying to install the up to date correct graphics driver causes the pc to freeze, and needs a restart to return to function.
-Every time any of these issues show up, it may start small but it always ultimately needs to be restarted and then the timer starts again...issues show up about 2 1/2 hours into use usually though it may take up to 5h of use sometimes.
- i can play really intense games and its fine and has no bearing on the emergence of the glitches. HOWEVER arma 3 does crash alot with memory bugs

Q2 last year, I was selected for succession planning. My target promotion would be Q1 2023. I've exerted a lot of effort, apart from my usual high performance, to prepare myself for the planned promotion. I was the busiest among the team due to the added training, shadowing, coaching, and special tasks related to leadership preparation. I have significantly higher pay raise naman last year due to the plan nga, so it was all okay for me.
Then come Q4. May bagong TM with all the solid experience from abroad. From that day, I've lowered my expectation that when the promotion time will come, it will not be me.
Que horror, it's happening already. Si new TM na ang naka-assign sa lahat ng special tasks, na dati sa akin pinapagawa. I feel neglected already. Wala na sa akin ang attention, despite being in the "succession planning" pipeline pa din daw. Kahit mababa na ang expectation ko since last year, ang sakit pa din pala. Paasa lang ang lahat. Masyado akong nagpaloko sa "succession planning" na yan. I hate it. It hurts so much right now.
And in the end, it doesn't even matter. I wanna be a lowkey employee nalang kung ganito lang naman pala ang climate ng workplace ko when it comes to career growth!

GTA 6 has been on the horizon for some time, and there have been rumors left and right about the upcoming game from Rockstar. Though the company has not announced nor confirmed anything yet, we could be getting closer to a launch of the much-anticipated game. Rockstar North, out of Edinburgh, is in charge of Grand Theft Auto development, and they are hiring a new game tester alongside other interesting positions.
Rockstar's website lists 18 different job positions currently available for applicants, including the rather interesting game tester role. Diving into the position, Rockstar is looking for people with "Knowledge of current generation games consoles and PCs" and who have "Competent gaming ability." Of course, this would all make sense for a gaming company; however, this is the division of Rockstar that produces the GTA series. Thus, we can reach a limited number of conclusions, including the fact that we could be close to at least a GTA 6 announcement.

Looking ahead this year, we will hit the tenth anniversary of the GTA 5 announcement, which could be good timing for the next game's announcement. While it may be a little cliche, it would be a great way to drum up hype around the dedicated GTA community. We could see a whole celebration of what has happened this decade with GTA, from the main campaign to GTA Online, and even smaller things like a thriving role-play ecosystem.
Whatever the case may be, it will be exciting to see if Rockstar North has anything in store for us later this year. Therefore, stay tuned to HotHardware as we keep an eye out for updates on any GTA 6 news hopefully coming soon.

I'm quite torn between Bird and Baldwin Wallace right now. Ppl are telling me that NYU and Northwestern are better, but I'm not too sure. Hence the title. I really like Ohio and I'm not too sure about Chicago food.

you can't tell me with a straight face that it adds anything to the game besides forcing people to pvp or log every 5 minutes.
the loot isn't even good and the exp debuff is garbage. every time I make a new slot and go to lower erisia or song I have to constantly deal with voidwalkers that are 5 levels above me trying to kill me for a shitty chest filled with lower erisia tier loot. I don't mind getting ganked when I'm power 15 or above, but the fact that I can get ganked at power 6 by someone power 12 is fucking bullshit.
I've had multiple friends buy this game and quit because voidwalkers fucked up their progress. every time I defend my low level friend from a voidwalker, said voidwalker always starts whining about how they're just trying to progress, and tries to get sympathy because of how hard it is to progress.
just pick a new origin you asshole. you chose to debuff your exp just to gank people. the benefits aren't even worth it now that guild bases are a thing. I used to think it was cool, but now I'm just thinking the devs were trying to enforce pvp after ganking died down.

You will have to wait for an official filing by the company to know the DRS count, but the SEC is standing in the way of that currently.“
So this guy/gal brings it to our attention that shares in plan maybe fuck with our whole CS account
so doctorplasmotron asks the real question:
„does this imply all shares under that account number, including the ones in book are considered available (as locates) if you have that account participating in the Plan with even a fractional remaining in Plan?“
here was my answer:
yes, that could be! here why i think that:
i have an account with almost 500 shares in book and just 0.1 fractional share in plan. now every other month i try to initiate a sell order (waay above the current price) to just look if everything is set up alright in case moass happens, as it always happens tomorrow ;)
so i put a sell order in for lets say 10 shares. so what happens in CS is that they create my sell order, but those 10 shares i want to sell also will be shown under PLAN. Altough i didnt have 10 shares in Plan before just 0.1 and now they‘ve been transferred from book to plan when a sell order has been initiated.
i‘ve been doing this since i‘ve got the CS account and back there i only had shares in book and when i initiated a sell order (i never sold 1 share btw) it didnt transfer them to plan. they just stayed in book.
this lets me to believe that maybe
every account that has a pending sell order and at least some fractionals in CS has those shares in plan which are not part of DRS anymore.
or could it also be that if you have any shares in plan your whole account is actually in plan and none are really in book as you will only be able to sell through plan due to the reason explained.
idk man something is fishy here with that whole plan thing. fractionals shouldn’t even exist, so they‘re definetly not real shares. do you guys know if you can sell the fractionals without having to pay the huge sell fee that CS has?
I think we need an official report from CS if shares held in plan are used as locates and if it fucks with the whole stack of your booked shares also. And also explain why the shares that are being sold show up in plan.

I’ve been dating a new partner for about a month now. He has complimented my physical appearance a few times in general (calling me beautiful, etc), but he has never given me any specific compliments to let me know exactly what he finds attractive about me (for example, telling me he likes my eyes). I give him specific compliments all the time and this is starting to eat away at me, and I’m starting to feel the urge to break up with this amazing guy that I really care about.
