I get that professors have lives too but next week is the last week of classes for this course I am taking and we have none of our grades posted for what we have submitted - We are basically going into finals having know idea where we stand in a class that has is all writing. It is not that I feel like I am going to fail, I think I am at the very least getting a B+ but like wtf.

I'm playing an alchemist artificer with a penchant for medicine and surgical experiments. Recently my DM allowed me a relatively hard check to successfully extract the brain of a defeated Aboleth, which I succeeded. I put it in my chest of preserving to keep it fresh and save it for a future project / experiment.
What should I do with it? I need help with ideas for creative research projects, devices or experiments that I could use this for. I love playing into the "Mad Scientist" trope.
Anything I will attempt to do with this brain will, of course, be run by my DM before I attempt anything.
Help and suggestions appreciated! What would you do with an Aboleth brain?

Could Wally have feelings for Eddie? I don’t have any solid proof, but that’s the impression I’m getting.
For one, there is a picture (not sure if it’s canon) where Wally calls Eddie “the loveliest mailman” with a sort of dreamy look on his face.
Eddie’s signature on the guestbook also has a lot of hearts on it.
Lastly, they are the only two characters with sort of “pet names”. “Darling” and “Dear” are both names you can call a significant other. Everyone else has a name that relates to their species, etc. Although “Dear” can also refer to letter writing.
It’s speculated that Wally is queer-coded, so having a crush on the hunky mailman doesn’t seem that far-fetched.

Im a 18 male. Currently second week of wearing a cast. The story began like this. We had a PE class and we played basketball, I went for a layup and landed on my ankle. Got to the ER, took soke pics (surgeon wasnt there to look at it only a nurse and a doc) they said i only sprainked my ankle, so no broken bones, fractures etc. 3 days later I came there again for surgeon to tell me I got 2 small fractures. One on my foot (on the outer side) and on the ankle. Now I have a cast (not really a cast I dont know the english word for it, its like half of a cast and wrapped with bandages). My leg feels great, I can move it around well, nothing hurts, its not "puffed up" anymore (excuse my english). Im thinking about wearing it another week after talking to my mother. My train of thought is that nothing will happen to me since i wont walk alot and i definitely wont be jumping or running. School is a problem with a cast on since I cant climb 3 stories up n down every other class. Im thinking about taking it off and wearing a sock like cast, so i can walk but the foot is secured.
PS, If they didnt see the fractures first time it couldn't be that serious? Right? Im looking for friendly advice and some thoughts about my idea.

I think it'd be nice if we could add a flair to add a little context to our comments on this sub.
For example, looking at the "confidence about Q2" thread, I see a lot of people mentioning they have a ton of work, but a lot of them don't mention their specific industry. Is it photography? Marketing? Graphic design? I don't know if what they're saying applies to me without asking, and that gets old quick.

Just my thoughts on playing 0.G for several dozen hours.
I love this update btw, it’s added a ton of features i’m loving. The water on fire to clean it thing is amazing, very convenient. Static bases are a great idea, even though i didn’t really use it. The changes with CBMs being Exodii tech is a cool change to the lore, i’ll enjoy when it’s fully implemented so human zombies don’t have it anymore.
Firstly, world gen. I un-blacklisted the no Fungaloids mod because they’re ruined previous worlds just through lag alone. I don’t mind them as enemies, but the cleanup is too much. If they started dying after the main tower was killed, the same as other similar kinds of enemy, that would make them better to deal with.
The slimes pits and ants have the same problem. The spawn rate is way too high, making the cleanup take forever, lag the game, and feel generally bad. If they’re not dealt with early game, having several hundred running around is just irritating.
I like the idea of skill rust, but turned it off after a test world. Losing levels isn’t fun. Idk why my character would forget or entirely lose the ability to craft stuff. Losing progress is fine, levels is personally no fun for me.
All the skills are good. Mechanics was annoying to train up until i realised that Military Composite Armour installing was the best way to train it up.
Anyway start was good, having more makeshift tools means it encourages heading out earlier.
Early game combat is hard, which is good. Wasps spawn in a lot of places, and they’re impossible to deal with early game with no armour and bad melee. Love it, a new character should be avoiding hard enemies early on. It took finding some grenades to clean them up from areas i wanted to explore.
Not much else to say about early game, except forging is still not complete. The crucible step is still pointless. Plus there should be more steps. Creating a billet is kinda implemented for the higher level stuff where you make lumps of steel, that’s good. Maybe splitting the process up into forging a blank, then grinding and finishing would be too many recipes, then again we do strive for realism here.
We need more varied food in fridges, every household seems to be obsessed with soy sauce and cheese. Also more frozen stuff like nuggets.
MRE boxes need more calories. The average MRE meal has 1250 calories in it, not under 300. The whole box is meant to supply soldiers with 3000 calories a day. They have nearly everything that they would normally have, but they do need Tabasco/ hot sauce. IRL it’s an absolute blessing on some of the shittier rations. Tea and coffee is in there, but i also really liked the energy drink juice powders, they’re really tasty IRL. I also don’t think they come with a desert in game which is very sad.
Small criticisms btw, compared to the entire food system which is huge and one of the best and most complex things in the game.
The welding blanket thing i know has been fixed with a makeshift one in the latest experimental, but the spawn rates should be higher. No self respecting mechanic who welds should be without one.
The car mechanics are still good. I assume it’s going to be expanded at some point, with all the extra bits like drive shafts, brakes, radiators, all the things that make cars actually work. Complex, but then again that’s CDDA. Building my base APC after clearing the military base is a long but rewarding process.
Once again, i like the Exodii base. The lore is great, i like Rubik, can’t wait for quest expansion. Same for hub 01. Some stuff in his shop needs to spawn together, i couldn’t use the Exodii rifle for the longest time as the 68 magazines were’t available, only the 71. The trust system is also strange, i know how it works but it being clearer or going up with quests would be better. Once again, something i i know is in the works.
Never managed to find a nanofab to make the RM13 armour i found, tho afaik hub 01 is planned to get one. The collapsed towers are insane, but enjoyable. Having a million enemies releasing gas, with no breaks is what a late game raid should be like, a big challenge. My grappling hook broke once and i couldn’t get out for some reason, that was a debug moment.
I’ve enjoyed the lab changes too. Finding that an above ground vent lead to a lab was a cool moment. The physics lab was an amazingly cool find, having reality torn apart was a weird and fun experience. The artefacts aren’t super worth it to me, the negative potential consequences far outweigh the benefits for me, though i did take a string of beads that gave +2 strength and int when in inventory, with seemingly no negatives. Maybe having properties like idk “buzzing” or “ sticky” to get an inkling of the potential abilities they have would help, instead of testing every one and getting exploded.
Lab spawning i know isn’t finished, but it does make them a frustrating experience. I’m aware that the subway ones aren’t meant to have big loot which is fair enough. There need to be labs types which consistently have finales though to make them worth looking for. TCLs are a great step in this direction, they’re really fun challenges as well where the rewards are super worth it. I kept raiding them for the Rm shotgun, but apparently they don’t spawn there according to Hitchhiker :( . Easy fix to spawn rate tho.
CDDA is an amazing game, all of you working on the project are doing amazingly well, and hopefully when my life clears up a little i can contribute as well.

One of my (32F) best friends (29F) has been in a toxic relationship for about 8 years. At first, I/we didn’t see the warning signs, because I was in one too. We just commiserated in our confusion. But I got out, went to therapy to deal with CPTSD from the gaslighting, etc., and educated myself. I never thought her situation was quite as bad until her partner (30M) came home one evening and got upset because a plate she washed was still a bit greasy. There was some arguing. Obviously, I wasn’t there, but at some point he explained he could not do the dishes himself and that she had to or “How else would she learn?” He proceeded to watch her rewash the dish. They argued more. He was gone all day the next day, home late with no communication, and from her description, he gave her the silent treatment until she reacted emotionally. She said this is a pattern in fights. He can’t take responsibility for anything, his actions progressively orient her towards his needs, ignoring hers, until she cracks. If she distances herself from him, maintaining boundaries, instead of sacrificing them, he starts “chasing” her to win her back. Her physical health is suffering. She’s very anxious and self-critical. She’s put on weight from stress eating and being too depressed to exercise (she’s not okay with this, but can’t stop).
This sounds like narcissistic abuse to me. I could be projecting, but I’ve been years out of my relationship and don’t feel personally triggered. All the signs are there.
As after she told me all this, I suggested researching her partner’s behaviors and their dynamic. She Googled while we were on the phone. She did find information on narcissism and narcissistic tendencies. We talked through it. I thought maybe she’d seen something new about their relationship. But I get tearful phone calls from her every couple of months regarding her stress around her relationship, so we’ll see…
The next thing I know she’s posting on IG that she’s “partnered” with It Works, which appears to be an MLM, to sell “holistic” products that claim to reduce all the physical symptoms she’s experiencing (weight gain/cravings, gut health, anxiety, etc.) and chalking up her emotional distress to hormone balance, etc.
I don’t want to discount potential health issues or minimize her interpretation of her experience, but she’s called me so many times over YEARS to talk about her relationship and her unhappiness in it. Assuming she has painted an accurate picture of her experience, it seems like she needs to get out and it’s getting worse. But she seems so enmeshed in this potential trauma bond, she’s grasping at straws, especially now that she may know her relationship isn’t healthy.
Is there anything I can do for her as a friend? Do I tell her she’s in an MLM? Do I share my observations that I think she’s avoiding the real issue at hand (emotional abuse) by taking and selling these products? Do I just continue to offer emotional support and listen? It’s been years, and the dish washing interaction was just so blatantly wrong, it’s hard to ignore. What if it does get even worse? I’ve suggested therapy, including couples therapy, but she currently can’t afford it (could be more reasoning for the MLM).

Hey guys. I'm pretty desperate as spent like months to figure out why our GAM doesn't fill video ad requests with AdX. I'm certain I'm missing something.
So we run GAM 360 with AdX Video account enabled. Our player uses IMA SDK to request GAM tag. But the fill rate is like 1-3% for the US traffic. I don't see DV360 our other Google buyer networks in the reports. It seems like Google doesn't want to fill ad requests with their ads. Do you have an idea why that may happen? This is killing me. P.S. I tried to run tags from other GAM accounts and they show a bunch of ads...

Hello, I am 19F. I have no medical issues I’m aware of, I’m naturally tan as an indigenous woman. I started getting super sick from the sun a little over two years ago. I assumed it was just because I spent too much time in the sun, but even if i’m in the sun for just a minute or two I get sick. Symptoms I experience are Headaches/Migranes, Fevers, Chills, and Nausea. I do not always get sick at the same time, sometimes it’s right away, sometimes it’s hours later. I know i don’t get sick from anything else because on cloudy days or when i’m indoors I am okay at the end of the day. on sunny days i always get sick, no matter how cautious I am. Everyone always thinks I’m faking it for attention, even though it really does cause an inconvenience for me. I really don’t enjoy being sick every night during the summer. I wear sunscreen every day. I thought maybe it’s the brand of sunscreen so I tried not wearing any but I still got the same symptoms. I have not gone to see a doctor yet because I live in a rural and racist area. It is hard to find a doctor genuinely willing to help. I was just looking to see if anyone has any idea what it can be. i googled allergies to the sun and it says your skin gets itchy or rashes, but i don’t experience that.
