RocketLeague. Today im going to complain, and suggest something for the game. ive been grinding ones recently, and almost every single game im playing against a champ 1 or sometimes champ 2, when im only in plat 3. It just doesnt make sense to me when i want to have a fair game and i keep getting put against CHAMPS. Please psyonix make a system that increases your other playlists to somewhere near your highest playlist because its broken.

What about the canon or rules of BattleTech would you change, given the chance? For me:
Leopards and other aerodyne DropShips can make vertical landings if they want to. It’s way less fuel efficient than a landing strip and you can’t just dump the ‘Mechs out the bottom with the transit drive running like you see in the video games, but it’s not a catastrophic last-ditch maneuver either.
The “late Star League” retcon ‘Mechs like the Pillager, Nightstar, Spector, Devastator, or Starslayer never existed in any real sense. They were part of the planned next generation of ‘Mechs in the wake of the Amaris Coup, but at best only their early design work survived. Some of them like the Atlas II or Annihilator went on to be developed by the proto Clans but never saw IS service prior to the return of the Dragoons; everything else was developed after the LosTech renaissance.
Likewise, the “Royal” variants were planned upgrade kits that never actually saw service. The plans were rediscovered and used as templates for post-Invasion ‘Mechs.
“Periphery tech” like chemical lasers, rockets, and rifle cannons were perfectly accessible to SW era tech bases, but didn’t see widespread use between the Great Houses because even in the depths of the 3SW things weren’t THAT bad.
Machine gun ammo bins either don’t explode or only cause quite limited damage. Nobody is going to convince me that 12.5-20mm rounds are going to combust as quickly or as catastrophically as a magazine of fueled warheads or high caliber shells. Even without CASE an automated ammo dump system should have time to respond to a small arms magazine cook off without disintegrating the entire ‘Mech as under current rules.
Autocannons don’t have a minimum range. The AC/2 and AC/5 don’t need “help;” it’s okay that they’re subpar damage per ton as technology advances. But they don’t need an artificial handicap either.
Relatedly, I wish there was a High Explosive shell for autocannons that gave increased effectiveness against infantry and BAR < 10. Seems like a helpful use case for ‘Mechs with AC/2s and urban combat profiles like the Vulcan and Blackjack. Might throw off vehicle combat balance though so I’m not committed to it.

And also read lots of documents, but something that is still not clear to me is regarding, what to render while doing client side prediction. Ok so explaining more, we have two update functions, FixedUpdate and Update. On fixedUpdate im running simulation of the game, the same as server does, it happens for instance at a frequency of 10Hz (every 0.1ms). While Update is where I render the game, it can run whatever user computer can, for instance 144Hz. Or is it client extrapolated base on last two states and how far they are in render frame, for intance lerpUnclamped(last, current, 1.4f)? I'm curious if any Psyonix dev has this information on which car is the most used and which car is least used in Rocket League. Most used is probably Octane lol but I remember rocket from july 2018/july 2019 the most used car was actually the Guardian which is pretty crazy to think about

I've been having this issue with rocket league when I have discord open and I'm in a call with one of my friends, I gain a lot of packet loss and it stays for about 20-30 seconds when entering a match after that it goes away but this issue is really annoying and I was wondering if anyone had a fix
