2023.03.31 16:53 LongishRod Is it just me or does NI/Belfast have a massive amount of selfish pricks?

you cant go out without some ballbag doing something incredibly selfish and not giving a shit about others
recently:
was at a petrol station and a taxi man was smoking in the forecourt and he flicked his finished burning cigarette butt towards the filling pumps. I said to him something like 'you shouldnt be smoking here' and he was like 'im not smoking mate' and i said 'i just saw u finish that and chuck it' (pointing at the burning butt near the pump) and he was like 'whatever, fack aff' and then I said 'you cant even put it out and put it in the bin?' and I pointed towards the bin that he was actually leaning on (he was leaning on a bin having a smoke) and he again got more aggressive like 'fACK AFF!'
was enjoying one of the local national trust mansions and some woman got out of her car smoking a cigarette, with kids in the car, and just dumped the burning cigarette butt while she was walking between the carpark and entrance to the property. Disgusting. Imagine having this lovely area and some prick just blatantly litters a stinking cigarette butt infront of everyone.
was recently at the hospital and the foyelobby was filling with cigarette smoke & absolutely stinking, there were sick people/babies and everyone breathing this shite in and plenty of people looking round like 'where the fuck is that cigarette smoke coming from?' look on their face. At the front doorway, there was a group of 3-4 people family all smoking cigarettes right in the doorway, and everytime it opened it seemed to create a wind tunnel and pull air into the lobby. Now, the ENTIRE hospital grounds including the carpark, all outside areas, entrances, and mini-roads in the hospital property all have big no smoking signs.
was recently at a smaller health clinic and whilst I had to drive around looking for a parking space, some guy fit as a fiddle comes straight into the disabled spot out the front and he has no blue badge, hops out of the car and makes it in before me. Inside, hes standing vaping in the queue to the front desk and blowing this shit for everyone to breathe in. I'm pretty sure vaping in a health centre is not allowed but I couldnt find any law except the smoking one when I looked it up, even if it was legal, how entitled are you to not only vape niccotene and other stinking chemicals, but you cant even wait 2 fucking minutes to do it outside, and youre doing it in the ONE place that has sick/vulnerable people waiting around

2023.03.31 16:52 Temporary_Noise_4014 Interest in Gold Miners Increases as Bank Fiasco Causes Market to Seek Safe Haven Assets $ELEM $NFG $ARTG $AGI $WDO

In the immediate aftermath of the SVB banking fiasco, safe haven seeking investors flocked to gold causing the precious metal’s price to surge on the first day of trading as the week began. But prior to the bank’s chaos, at the 2023 PDAC mining conference in Toronto, mining analyst and Portfolio Manager and Partner at Crescat Capital predicted “at least a triple in gold prices” to be a likely scenario, along with an 85% gain for miners in the space. For those watching the gold miner ETFs, VanEck research has been optimistic, highlighting how gold miners are in a rare position of trading below 5x price to cash flow, and that “Historically, gold miners’ shares have actually rallied hard off such low valuations.” Among the gold miners with momentum heading into the middle of 2023 are Element79 Gold Corp. (CSE:ELEM) (OTC:ELMGF), New Found Gold Corp. (TSXV:NFG) (NYSE-American:NFGC), Artemis Gold Inc. (TSXV:ARTG) (OTC:ARGTF), Alamos Gold Inc. (NYSE:AGI) (TSX:AGI), and Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX:WDO) (OTC:WDOFF).

Near-term production is on the menu for Element79 Gold Corp. (CSE:ELEM) (OTC:ELMGF) with its Lucero Project in Peru underway, where the company already has been permitted for 350 tonnes per day production. While not its flagship asset, Element79 expects to see production from Lucero inject non-dilutive cashflow into the company’s coffers in the near future in order to finance exploration on its Tier-1 Resource bearing Maverick Springs property in Nevada, with 3.71 million ounces of gold equivalent Inferred already on site.

So far, Lucero’s development has made things go smoothly for Element79 having recently delivering high-grade assay results up to 7.7 g/t Au and 916 g/t ag. Now the company has gone ahead and terminated its other Peruvian project Machacala to further tighten its share structure further, optimize future cash flows, and increase Element79’s its Peruvian efforts solely on Lucero—the more high-value, high-grade, near-term cash flow opportunity of the two.
"This Transaction also helps sharpen our corporate focus on our core properties, mainly restarting the High-Grade Past-Producing gold-silver mine operations at Lucero and further developing the resource at Maverick Springs, and we feel that the beneficial effect of this focus will become more significant as the company grows,” said James Tworek, CEO of Element79 Gold. “We have several milestones to hit in the near future and we look forward to sharing these developments as our team achieves them."
At its Queensway project in Newfoundland and Labrador, New Found Gold Corp.(TSXV:NFG) (NYSE-American:NFGC) announced a significant new discovery in the Iceberg zone along the highly prolific Keats-Baseline Fault Zone (KBFZ), intercepting 49.7 g/t gold over 29.9 metres—causing shares of the company to soar upon the market’s reception of the news.
The announcement came just weeks after New Found made its first big release of the Iceberg zone’s potential, when it found 72.2 g/t gold over 9.65m at the beginning of the same month.
"The discovery of Iceberg renews our enthusiasm around the highly prolific KBFZ,” said Greg Matheson, COO for New Found. “Iceberg exudes the same qualities that our earlier drilling found at Keats Main. Both display significant quartz veining over several-metre-wide intercepts that start at surface and both are hosted by the KBFZ – a fault with demonstrated ability to concentrate significant amounts of high-grade gold mineralization with considerable strike continuity.”
In British Columbia, Canada, Artemis Gold Inc. (TSXV:ARTG) (OTC:ARGTF) obtained its BC Mines Act Permit for the company’s Blackwater Mine. With this final step of approval out of the way, Artemis Gold moved towards the commencement of major works construction activities at the mine in Q1 2023, with the expectation of an initial gold pour in H2 2024.
"British Columbians will benefit from hundreds of new jobs from this new mine, with both its construction and multiple decades of operation," said Josie Osborne, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, for British Columbia, Canada. "Artemis Gold has designed a world-class mine that supports the economic needs of the local region; brings First Nations in as partners in training, business development and jobs opportunities; and helps to meet provincial climate targets with the use of sustainable, clean electricity."
Prior to the final approvals, Artemis Gold closed a $385 million project loan financing with another $40 million standby cost overrun facility.
"Execution of the definitive documents for the PLF is yet another major milestone on the development path for Blackwater,” said Steven Dean, Chairman and CEO. “The calibre of the syndicate banks who have joined the leads National Bank and Macquarie is further testimony to the financial strength of the Project."
At its Lynn Lake Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada, Alamos Gold Inc. (NYSE:AGI) (TSX:AGI) achieved significant permitting milestones at the beginning of March 2023. Among those, Alamo announced that they completed the federal Environmental Impact Assessment, receiving a positive Decision Statement from the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada. As well, in accordance with the provinces Environment Act, Alamos also received Environment Act Licenses for its MacLellan and Gordon sites, which helped the company increase their Mineral Reserves by 27% to 2.1 million ounces of gold.
“Achieving both of these important regulatory milestones for the Lynn Lake Gold Project represents a multi-year, collaborative effort by our team and our commitment to environmental sustainability,” said John A. McCluskey, Alamos President and CEO. “Lynn Lake is a significant opportunity to drive the future growth of our business in Canada, with the potential to increase our annual production to approximately 800,000 ounces of gold per year.”
An updated Feasibility Study is expected to be completed during the first half of 2023, while Alamos also focuses exploration efforts on a large underexplored land package with significant potential at the Lynn Lake Project in 2023. The company has already assembled a $5 million budget for the program.
Toronto-based miner Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX:WDO) (OTC:WDOFF) recently updated its Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve figures at both its Kiena Mine Complex in Val d’Or, Quebec and at the Eagle River Mine near Wawa, Ontario.
As of December 31, 2022, Wesdome’s combined proven and probable mineral reserves totaled 1.0 million ounces of gold through 2.4 million tonnes grading 12.9 g/t gold. As well, the company’s combined Measured and Indicated mineral resources were 350,000 ounces of gold, through 1.4 million tonnes grading 7.7 g/t gold, as well as a combined Inferred mineral resource of 1.1 million ounces, through 6.4 million tonnes grading 5.2 g/t gold.
The upgrades announced by Wesdome came as an optimistic upgrade after admitting to 2022 being quite difficult for the company.
“2022 was a challenging year for Wesdome, and we have leveraged our experiences to ensure better operational and financial performance going forward,” said Warwick Morley-Jepson, Interim CEO in Wesdome’s Q4 and FY 2022 results. “We consider this year to be a transition year as we get Kiena back on schedule, setting up 2024 to be a stronger year operationally, as well as financially.”

2023.03.31 16:51 balkanamama Please help me make sense of my blood work after going gluten-free for a month

I recently tested my TSH and discovered it was slightly elevated (given the fact that I'm trying to conceive). I saw an endocrinologist who told me I have hypothyroidism (possibly Hashimoto's) after a scan confirmed heterogeneous thyroid with one nodule.
While we waited for my anti-TG and anti–TPO results, I was told to limit gluten and start taking a low dose of levothyroxine.
I know I may get some backlash for this, but the idea of taking a hormone without having a full "picture" of my thyroid health and without first trying to improve my thyroid function through lifestyle changes and supplementation didn't sit well with me.
So, instead of taking levo, I went on a very strict gluten-free diet with the goal of re-testing my blood work after a month to see if there was any benefit. If none, I would be more inclined to start levo.
Now, I'm a little baffled by the changes in my blood work. Some things have improved, others have worsened, and yet others have stayed the same or changed marginally.
I'm scheduled to see my endocrinologist next month but, in the meantime, any comments would be much appreciated! :)
Blood work:
TSH was 3.93 uU/mL in January and 3.30 uU/mL in February. After the gluten-free month), my TSH was 3.29 uU/mL (an underwhelming drop of 0.01). I suspect the intial drop prior to going gluten-free was due to improvement in my vitamin D status from 26 ng/ml in January to 32 ng/ml in February and now 37.8 ng/ml.
After the gluten-free month, my FT3 improved from 3.10 pmol/L to 3.19 pmol/L; my FT4 improved from 15.68 pmol/L to 16.14 pmol/L; my Anti-TPO improved from 219 u/mL to 210.7 u/mL; my Anti-TG worsened from 186.4 u/mL to 329.4 u/mL. (???)
Prolactin was 554 mU/L in January and 509 mU/L in February. After the gluten-free month, my Prolactin suddenly became normal at 238 mU/L.
B12 was 289.2 pmol/L in January. After the gluten-free month, my B12 is 328 pmol/L.
Iron was 9 umol/L in January. After the gluten-free month, my Iron was 4.9 umol/L (???). I knew it was already low so I made an effort to eat more chicken liver, meat, spinach, etc. I'm really perplexed by this change...
Other things to note:
The blood work after being gluten-free was done a few days after getting over a cold. Perhaps this has skewed some of my results...?
33y.o.; PCOS; menorrhagia; normal glucose, insuline, folate; exercise 4 times per week; currently taking prenatals and extra Vit D (~ 15,000IU/week); non-smoker; overweight; ~5 alcoholic drinks/week.
TL;DR After a month of not eating gluten and upping my dietary iron intake, I'm now iron-deficient and my anti-TG has nearly doubled, while my prolactine has become normal and my TSH has barely changed.

Upgraded climate controls in 2015 RR.
I absolutely loathe touch screens in cars. Nothing “dates” an item more than having a touch screen attached to it, and the screen in my ‘15 Range Rover looks like it would be right at home in a Wal Mart credit card reader.
That said, I was very happy to learn that the upgraded seat climate controls from the 2016 model plug right into the 2015 and allow me to get my butt warmer going without entering any touch screen menus. Pop off a few pieces of trim, 4 screws, plug it in, and bob’s your uncle!
A huge upgrade to quality of life for a function I use nearly every time I get in the vehicle.

I’m a substitute at a middle school and nearly every day I have to tell students they can’t come eat lunch in the classroom and they always look so disappointed. “But we do this every day! Our normal teacher lets us!”
I’ve had students to deal with all day damn it, let me have some peace and quiet!

2023.03.31 16:49 10MinuteHorror In the 90’s, I picked up a hitchhiker who won’t leave me alone

I was travelling through Eastern Europe at the time and heard about a curse involving a Hitchhiker on an abandoned road.
I was the kinda person who ran towards shit like that. I wish I hadn’t.
The road was on the outskirts of a town and the locals gave me a good warning about it. The warning was simple - Once the sun drops, don’t drive down Zavodska rd.
I asked if that was because of looters or gangs or punk kids. But the locals said “No. It was because of the curse of ‘Avtostopnyk.’” Which is Ukrainian for “The Hitcher.” They warned me to not just think about myself, but also my friends and family.
I was curious, but lied and said I’d take their warnings.
That night, I went for a drive to Zavodska rd.
On the map, it showed the road started and finished with dead ends that had offshoots left and right.
Zavodska was six kilometres long, but a straight line distance between its beginning and end was only one kilometre. The road curved and swirled so much it made the length of the trip six times longer.
I arrived at the offshoot that led onto Zavodska. The entrance looked like every other quiet country road I’d passed to get here. But this road was separating two sets of forests which grew thicker and canopied overhead the further you went.
I turned onto Zavodska and drove thirty feet before the road curved off to the right. It turned sharply, right again, left again, and before I knew it, I lost all sense of direction.
I drove slow, taking my time as I followed the winding road through the thickening woods.
After five minutes, I came out the other side and Zavodska ended. Either I could go left or right, but Zavodska rd. was done.
The locals said that driving down the road was like playing Russian roulette. People mostly got lucky and the curse wouldn’t materialize.
But sometimes, if you turned your headlights off for a minute while driving then turned them back on, it would cause the curse to manifest.
I flicked off my headlights and slowly re-entered Zavodska. Without my lights, I was just barely able to see five feet ahead. A minute passed. Then two.
I turned my lights back on and immediately saw something ahead.
A figure was standing to the right of the road. Its arm was out, thumb up in a hitchhiking position.
I drove closer and made out the details of the figure.
It was a man. A homeless vagrant wearing a Priest’s outfit with a dirty collar. His hair was dark and wild and his eyes were demented. His face was covered in bloody wrinkles.
I couldn’t tell if he was smiling or screaming.
Within seconds of seeing him, I’d sweat through all my clothes.
I pushed the gas down to speed by him.
But it had the opposite effect. The car slowed. I slammed the gas pedal. Stomped it. Kicked it. But the car crept along, idling up next to the Hitcher.
The Hitcher came right up to the window, pressing his bloody, wrinkled face against it.
His smile pushed through the glass without breaking it and I felt his cold breath on my face. His eyes shimmered like a cat’s with an orange glow.
At this point I’d realized, somehow, I’d confused the gas pedal with the brakes and switched my feet. I hit the actual gas and peeled away, leaving a bloody wrinkle smear across the passenger side window.
I whipped around the next corner and the Hitcher disappeared from my rearview. But he reappeared, three more times along the side of the road, as I tried to get off Zavodska.
Finally, I reached the entrance and got onto the next road. And the next. And before I knew it I was back in the village. I went to my hotel, got my things and cut my vacay short.
The next day, I was on a flight back home.
But I kept seeing him.
It wasn’t often, but sometimes when I’d drive at night, I’d see the Hitcher on the side of the road. He started off with just a smile and a wave. Then he started running out into the street to get in front of my car.
Then he started trying to jump on the car. I was always alone, so I could never ask anyone if they saw him. I couldn’t tell if it was all in my head, or real.
I never saw him when I was walking, so the small amount of time I actually spent in a car went to nearly zero. I rarely travelled in cars or buses or any forms of road transit. I basically walked everywhere.
But I stopped driving or riding in transit altogether two years after I drove down Zavodska.
I was DD’ing my friend Jamie home from a dinner party when I saw the Hitcher in the middle of the road. I swerved to avoid him and figured Jamie thought I was crazy.
But Jamie saw the Hitcher too. He described the Hitcher’s Priest-like outfit and wondered why he was in the middle of the road, raging at me.
I wasn’t sure if it felt better knowing that someone else could see the Hitcher. Or worse knowing that the Hitcher had followed me home from Zavodska and was, in fact, real.
A week later, Jamie called me and told me he’d seen the Hitcher again when he was out for a drive with his wife. She’d seen him too.
A few days after, they both died in a freak car accident.
I haven’t stepped in a car again since.
But last week, I rode the city bus for the first time in years. And the second stop after I got on, I saw him.
The Hitcher.
He was on the side of the road. And he had my friend Jamie with him, and Jamie’s wife, who were both badly decomposed, but not dead.
I could see them weakly struggling. But they were being held up by the back of their necks by the Hitcher, who was in complete control.
The Hitcher made the two bodies move around like grotesque ventriloquist dummies, as he himself laughed and danced.

We drove past the spectacle, and I realized everyone on the bus was staring at the Hitcher too.

Interest in Gold Miners Increases as Bank Fiasco Causes Market to Seek Safe Haven Assets $ELEM $NFG $ARTG $AGI $WDO

2023.03.31 16:49 coffeeadaydoctoraway [Tentative Post] I think I’m cured.

CAVEAT I am NOT a doctor. I am NOT prescribing any of the following for anyone else. I am NOT saying that because the following worked for me it will work for you.
Your mileage may vary.
Buyer Beware.
Take with a grain of salt.
Etc.
What I am saying is the following is what I have done personally, and the result has been that I have not experienced IH in four months.
Long post ahead
Background
I’m 39 year-old white male. I suffered with IH for as long as I can remember (and I remember having this problem in my early childhood—probably as young as 8 years old).
IH would manifest for me as a super-intense, sudden onset sleepiness in the late mornings, mid-afternoon, early evening. It wouldn’t matter if I slept 12 hours the night before or 4 hours. Same thing would happen.
It would be such that I felt intoxicated many times, couldn’t think straight, very irritable, and an acute “I must sleep right now or I will die” feeling.
I started taking doctor-prescribed stimulants in August 2021. These did not solve IH, but made it more difficult to sleep at night.
Now
I had gradually made some changes and lost around 20 pounds (from 195lbs to 175lbs), but late in 2022, I began in earnest to reevaluate and modify my nutrition and health. I did this completely unrelated to IH. I just decided that I was getting older and wanted to see if I could become more health conscious and eat better.
So I did. The benefits were quickly observed, such as maintaining the weight loss. The most delightful benefit, however, was my IH went away.
The following is not scientific. I did not isolate one thing to test its impact on my IH. I just did all of them at the same time and my IH disappeared.
I’ve kept all of this up since late November, early December.
Not only is the IH gone, but I feel better in nearly every metric in my life: better mood, improved libido, sharper focus, and continued weight loss, but not dramatic (10lbs more this year).
Here is the list of what I personally did, and though it has worked for me, it may not work for anyone else:
  1. Switched to Natural/Raw dairy (i.e. unpasteurized milk)
  2. Stopped drinking straight tap water (switched to 90-95% mineral water or coconut water, and 5-10% filtered, purified water)
  3. Cold coconut water or mineral water first thing when I wake up in the morning.
  4. Substantial decrease in caffeine consumption.
  1. My diet is mostly meat, eggs, and dairy. I eat some fruit, and some veggies (but very few).
  2. Significant reduction in processed foods (any food in a box). I’m working towards total elimination of processed food.
  3. I eliminated “seed oils” from my diet (only use olive, avocado, or coconut oil, real butter, lard and beef tallow to cook).
  1. Sunlight every day.
  2. Switched to non-fluoride toothpaste.
  3. Cold showers.
My morning routine regardless of how much sleep I got the night before:
That’s everything. No real exercise to speak of. No vitamin supplements. No meds.
My IH is gone.
What’s been crazy for me is that I’m so used to napping in the afternoon that I still “want to” sometimes. So I’ll get into bed to nap, but can’t fall asleep. My energy level is too high and I have to get back up after a few minutes.
Anyway, maybe this will be beneficial for someone. Or maybe for no one.
If nothing else, I hope to merely encourage you to keep tinkering and striving to find a strategy that works for you. I inadvertently stumbled upon a combination of things that has worked for me for now. And I wanted to share that.
I hope everyone here finds what works for them. Because IH truly sucks, and I want all of us to overcome it somehow and at some point.

We drove past the spectacle, and I realized everyone on the bus was staring at the Hitcher too.

2023.03.31 16:48 Orgeo I (M28) don't know what to do to fix the situation I've caused with my now very recent ex (f22) and really need some advice

For a bit of context we were together for nearly 2 years and we have a 6 month old together and I have a 7 year old from a previous and relationship.
So this has really all started at the beginning of the year in January as on some weekends I have to go to my mum's to have my 7 year old just due to travel restrictions on certain weekends and to cut a long story short I didn't call to speak to either of them and didn't come back the day I said I would. This caused us to have a failing out but we're able to get past it and it did bring up some things that she wasn't happy with which were me smoking the amount of weed I was smoking and also just to make an effort to keep the house clean compared to the effort I was doing in the past. I had cut down smoking alot compared to what I was and tried to be cleaner but honestly I could of done more.
Then the weekend before mother's day (UK) again I had to go to my mum's for my other child and was supposed to travel back Sunday/Monday depending when she got picked up and I got very ill being bed bound from Saturday night to about Wednesday and obviously could not travel back I started to feel a bit better Wednesday but I was told it was too late as our sons bedtime is 8pm the next day all trains were cancelled completely due to strikes and then Friday I was working late so it was no possible to get the right train on time (I don't drive and don't really have anyone around me who would take me as it's a 2 hour round trip by car. After this I was told she didn't want me to come back at the weekend and that she probably wouldn't speak to me on Mothers Day as we were clearly not in a good place.
Come Monday she had messaged me basically telling me it was over and that she was left heartbroken she had nothing to wake up to on her first mother's day (had everything with me for her but this makes me hate myself for making her feel this way) and that I hadn't even sent her a nice message. I did send her a message but was really anxious what to put to her understandably because she was really heartbroken.
The next week and I have made a very big effort and will always continue to do to call my son everyday, ask how he is and what he's doing and also tried to talk to her about all of this but she just feel so hurt and angry and just has nothing to say to me.
Since all this it has really made me think about what it is I want in life which is us a family and I can't believe it's taken this for it to actually get through to me, this has also made me quit weed completely and have been sober since.
The following week she invited me to come and stay at her (in the guestroom ofcourse) so I can be with outlr son which I jumped at as I've missed him so much and also missed her and wanted to see her.
The 2 days I was an emotional wreck but kept it together with our son it was just when he went to bed and it's just us to so I told her in a short form that I'm so sorry ive disappointed both her, her family and our son and that all I care about is them and I know I haven't shown that and I will do anything to show her than I am changing to be the person firstly I want to be but also the dad/partner I should of been. That I've quiet smoking weed completely and I've never been so straight thinking in my life as to what I want and that is to be with them.
The following day which was the Tuesday at night after our some went to bed she put her head on my leg and I ended up giving her a back tickl3 as I normally would. When we were going to bed she asked if I wanted to cuddle for 5 mins which turned into 30min so I asked if she wanted me to leave which she said "I don't know" I ended up spending the night there and we also ended up making love that night which happened out of no where and was no my intentions at all.
The next day she asked me to sleep in the guestroom again as she was tired from the previous night and I didn't want to go against her so agreed of course.
This brings me onto last night where I could tell she had gone back to being cold with me so I tried to speak to her about all of this and she had said "she loves me but she doesn't know what she wants, she is used to doing it on her own now and that she just doesn't believe or trust anything I have said and that she just doesn't know what to say. She regretts the other night and since can't even hug me" which is something she has done before that night.
I just don't know what to do or say I mean there isn't much more I can say without repeating myself and I do truly mean everything I have said and its really fucking me up. I'm here for I would imagine another 2 or 3 days. I'm never going to stop proving to her that I want to make this right and that I am making changes to myself that should of been done a long time ago. we do work well together and get on so well I just hope someone can help me by giving me some advice as I have no one to confide in about this.
Tl;dr I don't know what to do to fix this situation I have caused with my very recent ex (baby's mother)

Interest in Gold Miners Increases as Bank Fiasco Causes Market to Seek Safe Haven Assets $ELEM $NFG $ARTG $AGI $WDO

Almon Memela - Funky Africa NM/NM - $20 Played once, in shrink.
Atmosphere - Seven's Travels NM/NM - $20 Played once.

Catch Up - Vol. 1 VG+/NM - $20

2023.03.31 16:47 Melissa_thegreat11 Sending packages from the US to Sweden

I wanted to write this post for anyone part of this group in the US who has family or friends they send packages to in Sweden, beginning March 1st USPS begun to advertise something about packages being sent to countries that are in the EU, mind you I am not one who checks constant changes with the postal service and had sent a friend of mine a package in January without issue prior to the change of course. Now with this new policy you cannot just write what exactly is in the package, now they want brand names/product names! And the gifts have to be $50 maximum value.
My friend who lives in Lund, I sent them a package some weeks back then over a week a half ago it got to Sweden at the malmö toftanäs postnord terminal, said it was held in customs, of course normal standard procedure. Some days later my friend gets a letter from postnord saying they wanted a picture of my transaction receipt how much I paid for the parcel and the customs forms, and they wanted a list of all the product names and brand names contained inside the package, lucky for both me and my friend I had all the items I had sent written down as well as the proof how how much I paid and the customs forms. Next day we find out the package did got through after all this was submitted, my friend ended up having to pay $7.50 for the package (taxes on it) though it was a gift but because of the total value of items of stuff in there and again cannot be more than maximum of $50 usd according to postnord/tullverket. Otherwise postnord planned to send the package back the beginning of April had we not had this corrected. Thank goodness it didn’t end up that way.
Either way I’m happy it worked out but I want people who do plan to send anything in the near future to Sweden from the US how with this new policy through USPS so you don’t have go through my experience.

2023.03.31 16:46 doublevodkacran Someone is trying to contact me, but I don't know who? Blue feathers, "good things" happening

I'm finding blue jay(?) feathers around in my typical path when walking around with my yard. We briefly fell on hard times, but now my partner is being promoted, and an older relative sent me money I wasn't expecting.
And finally, and in astounding news (my landlord is very...inflexible) my landlord is letting us go month to month as we prepare for a move.
I've read signs of people being contacted by deities. I do prayers/manifestations as I fall asleep and have been begging for help/a deity to contact me for a while - probably near a year now. Are there any suggestions for who could be contacting me? I'm excited at the possibility of working with a deity, and I say with almost perfect certainty that I'm being contacted.

2023.03.31 16:46 Els236 How is Senna not regarded as OP?

Maybe it's just me being noob, or mainly playing normals, but my god this champion is disgusting.
She is the only champion that can get basically every stat she needs by literally doing nothing. She can wait for her lane-friend to kill minions, then just infinitely stack Attack Damage, Crit Rate and, most importantly, Attack Range.
Her Q costs barely any Mana and by the time it's level 4 or 5, she can use it 2-3 times within a short period to go from 10% HP back up to something like 70% HP, because it not only heals her based on her AD and AP, but also applies life-steal.
By the time that she has a couple of kills and over (around) 100 minions have died near her, she is essentially getting a free Infinity Edge in terms of stats from her passive, she also has more Range than someone like Kindred would from 10 stacks (which are much harder to get than Senna's).
Not to mention that she gets free damage from her passive anyway, in exchange for having a slower Attack Speed than most.
Oh, did I also forget to mention that she slows you by default with her auto-attacks as well, while taking that move-speed for herself?

Essentially, even if her ADC kinda sucks - provided they can CS to the bare minimum degree, Senna can still snowball out of control easily.
I'd personally like to see nerfs to her healing most of all, because I think it's kind of broken that she can go from 0 to full in the space of a minute.

2023.03.31 16:45 Smart_Elephant_830 My school friend is now working at my golf course

This is a story that happened to me just a few days ago. I wanted to get some advice on what I should do but first, some context. I am a 15 year old male who comes from a crazy wealthy family. I go to a private school in my city but due to some government laws, the school has to admit children from families that cannot afford the $15,000 tuition. There are only 4 of them in my grade. I’m not really good friends with any of them but we chat, play video games, all that stuff.
I play golf, not professionally, just for fun once in a while, by which I mean nearly every week. I play at a country club sort of place, with an eighteen hole golf course 3 miles from the city Center of quite a large city. It is a very upscale place and while playing golf, they provide people to carry your equipment, water, etc.
Last week, I went for golf and asked the clerk for someone to help with my bag and one of these kids, we’ll call him Sam for now walked out. I didn’t know if it was really him at first, but then he asked me if I was me. It was definitely very awkward. I have been a few more times and faced the same situation.
I didn’t mention it to anyone and carried on until the other day when I was hanging out with some of my friends who are into golf asked me why I was trying out for the school team when I was so trash at the game. It turned out that Sam had told them. He claimed that he had been playing on his own when he saw me and walked along with me.
I can’t understand why he would do this. I am not on bad terms with him. After we played, each time I made sure to give him a $100 tip. Any advice?

2023.03.31 16:45 KorgG29 Level 40 Predictions for Season 6?

Took most of this season off, gotta grind those bracket busters free cards this wknd, but I’m interested to hear any ideas for next season’s Lv. 40 Reward, and maybe the other season rewards as well?
I personally feel we’re long overdue for a Hakeem Olajuwon. 2K has given him away for free before, and my lineup is in desperate need of big man. Nearly every Level 40 this year has been underwhelming, besides Pip imo, and I think a big name like The Dream would maybe spark something in the community. Or maybe you have a prediction for the return of two-week events perhaps? Let me know.
