Evidently, when loading into GTA Online, a whopping 10MB worth of JSON is being parsed. It seems that it is data for something called "net shop catalog," which is likely just all the things purchasable in GTA Online using in-game currency.

Why this parsing takes so long is due to a function used called sscanf, which, in this instance, can be loosely equated to reading Romeo and Juliet by reading one word, then rereading the play, and then jumping back to the next word in the play. Furthermore, there is another bad programming issue just beside sscanf, which goes through the entire list of JSON entries in an array, one by one, and checks to see if there are duplicates by comparing a unique ID assigned to each item called a hash. Ultimately, it is a lot of extra and unnecessary work that slows down everything.
To solve this issue, T0ST decided to write a .dll (Dynamic Linked Library) and inject it into GTA so that sscanf is effectively streamlined. Also, rather than running duplication checks, they can just be skipped as items inserted into the storage array will always be unique, as was set up during the parsing effort. Once T0ST injected the DLL into GTA with both issues fixed, he saw his load times go from around six minutes down to a solid approximate two minutes.
As T0ST explains, this "won't solve everyone's load times - there might be other bottlenecks on different systems, but it's such a gaping hole that I have no idea how R* has missed it all these years." Ultimately, Rockstar needs to dig into this issue to save all GTA Online players headaches during loading. Why this parsing takes so long is due to a function used called sscanf, which, in this instance, can be loosely equated to reading Romeo and Juliet by reading one word, then rereading the play, and then jumping back to the next word in the play. Furthermore, there is another bad programming issue just beside sscanf, which goes through the entire list of JSON entries in an array, one by one, and checks to see if there are duplicates by comparing a unique ID assigned to each item called a hash. Ultimately, it is a lot of extra and unnecessary work that slows down everything.
To solve this issue, T0ST decided to write a .dll (Dynamic Linked Library) and inject it into GTA so that sscanf is effectively streamlined. Also, rather than running duplication checks, they can just be skipped as items inserted into the storage array will always be unique, as was set up during the parsing effort. Once T0ST injected the DLL into GTA with both issues fixed, he saw his load times go from around six minutes down to a solid approximate two minutes.
As T0ST explains, this "won't solve everyone's load times - there might be other bottlenecks on different systems, but it's such a gaping hole that I have no idea how R* has missed it all these years." Ultimately, Rockstar needs to dig into this issue to save all GTA Online players headaches during loading. And then you never take off for a cold, so then it lasts even longer. Admin gets to work from home but if I’m not in I don’t even get paid for the first day I miss but I still have to write all the cover plans.

- Get a glass straw ready.
- If there is a cartridge inserted, remove it and clean it with a cleaner.
- Press and hold the house symbol on top of the station for 3 seconds, then the station will flood below.
- While the station is being flooded, use the straw to press the central “nipple” and suck extremely hard until the water comes out. Repeat if necessary.
- Once the water comes out of the nipple, the trick is over and the internal tank in the robot should be automatically filled with water during self-cleaning from now on.
- Press and hold the house symbol on top of the station again for 3 seconds so that the water is sucked out of the station at the bottom.

disclaimer: this is purely a hypothetical. i know high dividend yields are usually traps but im not considering investing in this or that or anything based on any insights from this post. purely just out of curiousity so please dont tell me this fund or that fund wont work because i dont care this was just something i was thinking about.
obviously we all want our dividends to be paid and for the stock to grow. but for the sake of the hypothetical, you can only have 1, for example a growing non dividend payer vs one of the YLD funds which depreciate but have huge dividends. and lets say losses on the dividend stock + income from dividends evens out exactly to gains on the growth stock. which is better for tax purposes given that youre taking home the same amount of money pre-tax. is it not the high dividend negative growth fund? because that would allow you to report a loss that could offset other gains and if im not mistaken dividends, assuming theyre qualified, are taxed at a lower rate than capital gains where as the growtth stock would require you to report a gain which you would get taxed harder on than the dividends

I went into very wobbly recovery in January 2022, which was a year full of relapses and stress, and little emotional support which really is what I needed more than anything. I then had a massive relapse when we moved house and binged every single day October ‘22-January ‘23. I had gone off the rails.
In February 2023 I began working with BEAT, an eating disorder charity in the UK. I am not exaggerating when I say their BED programme, Momentum, has changed my life. I am 66 days binge free and I am so in tune with my emotions, I know how to stop and prevent a binge, and I’ve worked through some difficult shit. I couldn’t imagine binging at this point honestly - it feels so low down on my list of coping mechanisms. Obviously I am not cured but Momentum gave me those tools I so desperately needed.
The programme is 12 weeks of guided self-help: you have a 30 minute call with someone weekly (and then every two weeks from halfway). You work through a book and complete lots of activities. You also log your food on Recovery Record and you can talk about how you feel etc too.
It’s amazing and I 100% recommend it.

So I just laid around hopeless, oversleeping, and seemingly taking everything personally for the past week.
I suddenly came across a video on my timeline of a little boy “wrastling” with his dad. They had the WWE announcer and sound effects in the background. The dad was acting all woozy as the little boy performed his little moves on his dad, putting him in a headlock and all those things.
Is was so freaking cute! And such a wholesome moment.
Then suddenly I just started bawling.
Yes, I grew up in a household with adults who treated me as a need-gratifying object and based my value on my ability to perform. And yes this continued until I was able to escape, go no-contact, and rebuild my life while ensuring my own safety.
I’ve accepted that my mother is the orchestrator of it all and even though the entire extended family is aware of the horrific things she did to me over the years, they all come to her rescue with, “Being a parent is hard… She worked so much and was under so much stress… Sometimes that’s how people show they care…”
That said, I’ve accepted that my mother (and my family as a whole) will never be the parent I need/needed nor are they obligated to change for my sake. I’ve accepted this and it makes perfect sense to me regardless of how contrary it is to society’s superficial and poorly enforced expectations in this area.
But how can I stop becoming so darn emotional when I see healthy interactions between parents and their children? I swear I just fall apart at the drop of a hat with graduation videos, prom pictures where the parents helped them get ready, even Kleenex commercials with a parent cleaning the nose of their child. I absolutely hate it.
Had to fire my last therapist as they were not qualified in the areas they said they were and actually caused more issues than they helped solve. So I’m back to square one taking a chance on finding another therapist I can trust to help me with everything I’d like to address.
But in the meantime, I really want to work on this “overreaction” for lack of a better word.
My mothefamily aren’t the loving type towards me and this is just the way things panned out. I cannot keep crumbling because I missed out on what could’ve been. Because it was never going to be.

We've remained friends off and on since then and I liked talking to her but we were never too close or anything.
But, in July 2021 I decided to ask her to hangout with me because I've never really had too many friends and I thought she was cool so I figured I'd try to get to know her a little better. We went to a lake together and just sat and talked for a while about nothing in particular. We went back to her place after and she actually ended up asking me to stay the night and so I obviously obliged. We both slept in our underwear (not for any sexual reasons [I think] but we're both on the autism spectrum so sleeping in clothes is uncomfortable lol) and she got really close to me and put her leg over me and put her hand on my chest. I interpreted this as a hint that she was into me because I don't see why she would do that if she wasn't, but whenever I bring it up she just says that she tends to do that if she sleeps with someone else in the bed, so I guess I could've been wrong (but I think you can understand why I kind of think there was more to it). I lurk and scroll through posts and often see many discouraged and cynical folk blaming “capitalism” for this real estate cycle. It’s become rather clear there is a grave misunderstanding with regard to how we get into these messes. I simply want to inspire at least one person who is willing to truly understand and not dog pile because someone on reddit suggested they don’t actually understand. When someone says “capitalism” I am assuming they are referring to the Free Market Capitalism we’ve been told about throughout grade school and most of our lives. Perhaps we should look to understand the concept again and then compare to what is currently happening to see if the free market is truly at work. Spoiler…it’s not. Don’t believe me? In FMC, there’s is a natural life and death cycle in business. You mismanaged your company or bank? You fail. The damages in a TRUE free market would be contained to that entity. In FMC, the Federal Reserve (a centralized banking cartel) would not being able to manipulate the markets by creating money out of thin air, increasing the monetary supply and therefore causing inflation. Still don’t believe me? Study every boom and bust cycle since the inception of the Federal Reserve in 1913. With FMC, fractional reserve banking would never be allowed. Bank runs wouldn’t become systemic. Banks wouldn’t be able to lend more than they’d be able solve too without having to use the bank of “last resort”…the Federal Reserve. The very existence of a central bank is inherently socialist. It is the antithesis of free market capitalism. Money printing and artificially inflating/propping up markets is not in any way a capitalist function. I am not suggesting that capitalism is perfect. What I am suggesting is if you’re going to invest your hard earned cash and enter the grid, you should probably understand the way things ACTUALLY work.
