I’ve heard that there are no bad trips, only challenging ones. I feel like I need to reason this out after my latest.
Yesterday I took just under 2gs of GT for what would be my third trip. I get visuals and visions from this so it’s a decent dose for me and I’m working my way up, very slowly, to higher doses. My plan was to take the mushrooms and then get everything prepared so I would be busy while I waited for the effects. This was a mistake. After I’d taken the mushrooms I was upstairs in my house when my cat started going crazy, meowing and meowing and meowing. Then I heard a bang. Going downstairs to investigate I found my front door was wide open and my cat, clearly spooked, started following me everywhere. Already under the influence my mind quickly concluded that I had an intruder in the house and so I began searching for them. I searched the whole house twice over, but just as I was convinced it was nothing, I then noticed my car keys were gone. They weren’t on the kitchen table where I was sure I’d left them, nor were they on the hook. To my mind, someone had obviously entered the house, taken them and was planning on coming back later to steal my car. Ohhh the paranoia. I desperately searched for the keys as my carpet floors started to stir into spirals patterns and I felt my consciousness began to fracture. Eventually I found the keys in a pot I sometimes keep them in, but not before I’d made myself vomit to try to stop the trip, and almost called the police to report a break in and stolen car keys. The relief was enormous, and managing somehow to convince myself that everything was ok now I got myself into bed ready to trip.
What followed was the most anxious few hours of my life. I became convinced I was going to kill myself. I was terrified of leaving myself alone with myself because I didn’t know what I’d do. I was scared a part of me was going to overwhelm another part of me and end my life. I started to feel as if life was empty and meaningless, that the world is probably just a simulation, that I was disconnected from everything, and as I thought and saw these things it simultaneously occurred to me that this was how my brain was going to kill me; that there was a real part of me that wanted to do myself harm and it was going to win. It’s an extreme peculiarity to be so scared of yourself and I hope I never have to feel that way again.
As I was coming down I went for a walk outside, the wind was in the trees and birds were singing and I could appreciate the beauty of the world but I still felt disconnected from it. I felt as if my trip had been wasted. That I now felt depressed when I hadn’t before seemed completely backwards to me. I thought that if I couldn’t find meaning and connection through mushrooms I must be broken.
Writing this the day after I can see things more objectively. I coming more to the conclusion that I found a part of myself that I’d buried and I have to work on. I’m clearly anxious about being anxious, and anxious about being depressed. I had bad depression and suicidal thoughts maybe 8-9 years ago and perhaps this shows, though I thought I had, I still haven’t dealt with that part of myself, that I need to get to know it better, be kinder to it, not shut it out. I’m going to go for a long walk today and stew on it a bit maybe, or maybe not, maybe I can just be present with the world and let things flow, give myself a break. I feel like I’m looking for the answer a lot lately and after yesterday I’m a bit exhausted by it.
Anyway, never will I prepare so poorly for a trip again. Ever. I’ve definitely learned that lesson. I also have to conclude that no I didn’t have a bad trip, I had a challenging one. But it felt close.

I just wanted to say how well Captain America is portrayed in Midnight Suns. In the MCU, he is played by Chris Evans who does an amazing job in his own right and absolutely owned the role, but in Midnight Suns he is completely different.
At first I was kind of put off by how cordial and old Captain America sounds in this game, but the more I thought about it the more it began to click.
Steve Rogers grew up in the 1940s, and as a result has a personality reminiscent of Ronald Reagan. His speech patterns are very similar, too. Captain America is as close to a classic, American boy-scout as you can get.
Just thought it was an interesting detail to point out.

I'm running a pathfinder game for the first time (never played before either), for a group of first time players and I wanted to check that the balance is ok on the first vampire (I'm not really using the normal vampire rules though I am borrowing some aspects of them).
Important side information is that I modified the hero point rules based on a initial misunderstanding of them and a desire to have a buffer for the potential difficulty spikes of the format of my campaign, and the unfamiliarity of me and my players with pathfinder.
The relevant aspects are that you no longer gain a hero point each session but you don't lose them between sessions and you hold up to six. For one you can reroll as usual. For two you halve the damage you take from one activity/hazard/spell (whatever you want to call it, source sort of works but can be a little to vague if you consider a character a source) and change it from a crit to a regular attack if it was a crit (there are factors that modify cost. For three as a free action at pretty much any time before your character dies you can heal one hit point, become conscious if you were unconscious (though the 1 hit point usually covers this yes?), and remove either all stacks of wounded or doomed (this replaces the normal spend all your remaining points to stabilize feature). Finally you can spend five points as a free action at any time to fully heal, become conscious, remove dying and doomed, cure most afflictions, and you can use this as a free action even just as you would fully die. No-one has five hero points yet so that last one is not relevant.
The party is level 1, a ranger (dmpc), gunslinger, witch, two oracles.
As for how the vampire works...

This vampire cannot attack until it releases the bite. On a crit, rather than doing double damage, this attack applies the doomed condition.
Release bite: can only use on a grabbed creature a round after biting it. Auto hit, Damage 1d12, this vampire gains temporary hp equal to the damage it does and the bitten creature must roll a fortitude save for the affliction vampire contagion.
Arresting gaze: this vampire glares at a creature, wich must make a will save dc ten or be unable to act on its next turn. As long as it was not surprised, the vampire may do this as a free action at the start of the encounter.
Rapid speed: this vampire may use the stride action as a free action at the start of its turn.
Desperate bite: upon falling to half health or below for the first time during an encounter, this vampire may use vampiric bite as a free action if there are any creatures within 5 ft of it. It delays its next turn until it is able to release the bite.

Tactics wise it will likely run if they don't fight it in an enclosed space, if it has to fight it will go after those with low armor class, potentially criting them (50% chance for some I think but even with max damage I don't think it will be 2x max health for any of the characters), downing as many as it can. That would mess with their ability to beat it in a damage vs healing race quickly, but they can get up for their turn if they spend the three hero points and the way pathfinder changes initiative at downing should make sure they don't lose a turn when healed to get up, wich with three action heal spell would also damage the vampire (I failed to notice there is a save for this initially so I'll probably ignore that for a bit). It won't attack downed characters. If they are getting close to killing it before it can act its bite reaction may help it stay up, the gunslinger shouldn't be able to crit without rolling a 20 so no fatal unless their luck is good. If they are all downed the vampire will find a way to flee.
To kill it fully they have to expose it to sun or deal a significant amount of alignment or positive damage in one action. Staking it after unconsciousness stops it healing but does not let it reach dying 4. If they cannot stake it or expose it to a weakness quickly
I want this to be hard but doable even if they get bad luck, significantly easier if they spend hero points, but with its low health and its damage coming from crits, and their need to not miss in order to do frequent damage a lot depends on luck. On second thought, unless you think it's a bad idea I may increase its health a bit, maybe even its regen. How is it?

I only played Druid in the beya, but I tried every spec possible, with all the different Druid legendary powers I could find. Out of them all, I was most interested in the new Earth magic and summoner skills.
Something I wanted to point out, because a lot of people seem to think the open beta version we played is the same version the game has been in for months now (it isn't). They already made changes to the Druid in the closed beta vs the open beta.
For example, Earth magic Druids had the powerful "crushing blow" trait attached to their spells in the closed beta. In the recent open beta, this powerful trait was removed from all the Earth spells, and it definitely was noticeable. So they're still actively balancing and changing the game, and we could see a lot of changes by the time we see the release version.
Secondly, after reaching lvl 25 and finding quite a few Druid legendaries, I tried a summoner build. Aside the minions being very weak and mediocre, even with gear enhancements, the bigger problem that bothered me was how the minions seemed so inactive and buggy.
All the minions were inferior visually to even the D2R versions, and the persistent animal companion of D2 have been replaced with far more limited versions that no longer feel like companions (except the 2-3 wolves).

• Wolves move and turn slowly and have poor reaponse time.
  
• The dire wolf and spirit wolf packs of the Druids are gone. Now we have two wolves that are very weak and underwhelming versions by default.
  
• There's no raven flocks that follow you around anymore, and is only a single raven (that's difficult to even see).
  
• Raven lost it's "blinding" ability/curse, which made it useful and unique compared to the other animals. It attacks infrequently, It was by far the lamest of all the minions.
  
• The active raven ability finally summons a flock of ravens, but they they feel very unnatural statically switling around, then disappear once the ability is ended.
  
• Poison Creeper is very weak passively, and attacks infrequently.
  
• The Poison Creeper is difficult to see, and often travels out of your camera view. It's very hard to even see if it's attacking.
  
• There's a serious lack of utility that Vines use to have (passive mana or life regeneration through enemy corpse consumption). These really should be additional options on the skill tree.
  

Also, the complete lack of a Grizzly companion and Nature Spirits (Heart of the Wolverine, Spirit of Barbs, Spirit of the Oak) could have been such great additions for the Druid in D4. I really hope we'll see these companions return in the future.
In the meantime, what we currently have needs some serious improvements to be more useful in early game, and I'm hoping we get some big improvements to minions both in terms of balance and visually, so we canake builds with them in the endgame.

Im quite new when it comes to php but im having an issue that i think someone whould spot in less than a second. IM using PHP FPDF with a MySQL fed table within the PDF document.
Under the table there is total of the holdings grouped by name. When rendering out the result it is currently using trade status as Closed to return 0. $grow['tradeStat']== 'Closed'?0.
I have been trying to change this so that it checks for tradestat is 'Closed' or 'Pending' but have had no luck with it at all.
I know its something simple that im missing. Any Guidance would be appriciated.

Hello everyone! I am a second year student at National Institute of Design, India and am currently pursuing a degree in product design. We have an assignment for Simple Product Design and I was thinking of redesigning an umbrella in such a way that the mechanism to open and close the umbrella becomes easier not only for people with one hand but also for people who have a lot of things on their hands but need to open/ close an umbrella efficiently without the requirement of two hands. I am aware that there are umbrellas in the market that are fully automatic, but they are heavy and expensive as compared to classic umbrellas. I have 2 credit cards. Card 1 is a basic Wells Fargo Rewards card that I've had for just over of 20yrs with a $17k limit. I only keep this card due to age of the account and it's only used for <$50 a month in random things to keep it active. No balance is ever carried over. Card 2 is a 7yr old CapOne Cash Rewards card with a $30k limit. This one is used more regularly for the cash back, but it's not that great (3% in selected category for up to $3k spend/quarter, 2% groceries, 1% else). Most months, this one is paid in full but sometimes I carry over a small balance.
My question is, since I'm starting a small business on the side which will have expenses and my role has changed/grown at my "real" job which see me travelling several times a year and I will have the ability to book my own travel (vs company pay/book direct) and pay for expenses of my employees that will often travel with me, I'm considering a new or additional card.
Should I drop one of my existing cards in place of or just add a better travel card? Not sure how the additional line might impact my credit score vs elimination of a more established line in place of a new. I had my credit checked recently and my score was 835 (Equifax). Only other lines of credit/open accounts are a home store card with a $5k limit (about 12-13yrs old, never a carried balance), about $8k in remaining student loans, my mortgage ($320K remaining, 4yrs in, 20 to go), and a new $25k line for my vehicle (72mo but I pay extra so it'll be closed in about 50mo using my current budget but possibly much sooner with the $ increase at "real" job).

It's tough out here.
I'm currently in an MsC program for global health/social justice/public policy and post-dissertation, I'll be entering the workforce as a fledgling researcher. Going through this course and participating in an internship (nonprofit organization focused on advocacy/comms in the NTD sector, works close with governmental bodies), I've realized that wow ... I don't know what I want to do!
My interests lie within sexual & reproductive justice (dissertation on male contraceptives) as well as climate justice, particularly in the global southeast. I would love to gain some more years of advocacy/comms work for an NGO or research position in a pharma company. For good reason, I don't see this field as my end-all-be-all, I would love to go more into comms and marketing as I have a creative side that I would enjoy exploiting a bit. I also have a distant dream of being an artist and opening a pottery store. But that is for much, much later, perhaps never in this economy (lol)!
For context, I am an American citizen studying in London, I plan on staying in London and (hopefully) working remote in America. Looking towards the future, it's hard to envision where my career path is going and I was hoping to get some guidance from people with a similar track record to me.
What have you found fulfillment in? Where did you end up after your program? How are Americans holding up with remote global health positions? Are there any sectors I am ignoring or should look into?

Just a quick update. Some of you may know me, some may not.
Over the span of almost 2 years, I started a retro collection project for PS Vita which quickly migrated into the Switch and the PSP. Two other people joined me in the making - TWG and rog, and together we created a curated rom list, testing every single rom, creating custom graphics for various systems and tweaked everything so every user can just download the pack and enjoy the ultimate retro experience for these devices. (It was inspired by CrazyMac from ArcadePunks, and was based on that)
A few months ago I started this same project for the RG353V after I fell in love with the device, its compact size and amazing screen hooked me.
I saw various posts from people asking for help with finding the right rom packs and ready-to-go builds and while the Sticky post here contains a base package for RG353V, I intend on releasing the RG353V Retro Collection soon which will include everything you will ever need - from all configured retroarch + hotkeys to custom graphics, box arts , system tweaks, pre configured settings for DOS games, bezels for for vertical shooters, and much more.
I tried to start this project on our closed discord but only a handful of people have this device, so I decided to let people here know that invites for this specific project are open (The switch/vita/psp is closed due to some people copying the content and distributing it without credit).
I'm looking for people who are willing to test roms/playlists and would like to join in and report bugs before I release this. If you're interested in joining let me know.

I always used closed back headphones/headsets but always found them uncomfortable. I currently have CoolerMaster MH752 and love their sound but decided to switch to IEM just to not constantly feel pressure on my head.
I picked up the Moondrop Aria, but I don't know if I got a faulty model or my PC just produces very high static electricity, but after a few days of use the left earpiece now keeps zapping my ear and has a bit of a static sound. It's not sudden shocks, just constant "tingling" that makes that earpiece unwearable. It's totally possible I just didn't notice the first few days too by the way, since I used them only for a few hours. I can tell it doesn't happen if I connect them to my phone and the zapping gets worse if I touch the ground with my foot.
I liked how the Aria sounded even though it felt weird at the start, but I was getting used to it. Do you have any suggestion for similar IEMs in the same price range, preferably with a plastic casing so we can rule out the PC static thing too? I really don't know if that is the issue but I'd love to avoid going into the "order and refund" hell of trial and error.

So recently I've installed kubuntu 22 on my pc expecting better performance in blender (since you know, the lighter os should make a lot of difference) and the cycles render is uncomparably slower than the same render on windows (it renders in like 30 seconds on windows and on kubuntu it's around 15 mins). I have tried open source drivers, proprietary straight form nvidia's site, proprietary but kinda older for my gpu (gtx 1070ti) and none of them comes even remotely close to windows render times. Am i doing something wrong or is it normal for blender to suck on linux

Hello there! I am coming to you today with a Star Wars prompt I have been interested in doing so for a while!
My prompt is an AU that, as you probably guessed, takes places in the Star Wars universe. In this AU, not only did Anakin never turned to the darkside and defeated Palpatine, eradicating the last Sith for a good while, but also Ahsoka never left the Jedi Order to begin with. Our plot will start a few years after the events of the revamped Revenge of the Sith, where Ahsoka and my character, both 2 very well established Jedi Knights in their early 20s, are in a secret relationship, knowing full well that the Council would never accept them. My main hopes for this roleplay is to have a more wholesome and romantic slice of life between our characters, with us going through their daily lives as jedi. (Maybe we'll have them decide to leave the Order at some point and have them explore the galaxy together?). Additionally, we could change the plot slightly so we can keep more close to canon if that's something you would prefer.
Of course, this roleplay will have tons of erotic moments and scenes, but the romance will be a big part of it as well. And as you probably guessed, I will be playing as an OC. I can try to play as Lux if really necessary, but I don't really remember much from his short time on the show and I am much more comfortable playing as someone I have made.
But, if you are not interested in Ahsoka, but would still wish to do something similar with me, I do have some plot ideas for Rey, as well as Hera!
I am pretty vannila in terms of kinks, with some of my favourite being:creampies, pinning, hair pulling(in this case, mantrals), begging, choking etc.(I can send the full list if needed). As I said above, I would very much prefer if we could roleplay on discord, but it is not a necessity.
