A decision was made yesterday and I hope it was the right one. I had in my possession, a beautiful black translucent Yamaha A1M. It played amazingly, like all yamaha's should. However, I've been tormented with The voodoo they've installed inside their Transacoustics. So even though I was playing the A1M and it was amazing, I opted to purchase a black dreadnought Transacoustic cutaway without playing it (because no store near me had one in stock, so they had to order it new). Did I make a good decision? Is the A1M a better guitar? Are the trans acoustics basically $350 Yamaha's with electronics inside? I realize for the price I paid I probably could have got a full solid body Yamaha, but ooh that Transacoustic sound. The only thing I'm regretting, (and I was unable to make the decision because they were not in front of me to play) was I couldn't decide between the concert size, or the dreadnought size. Mind you I'm only 5'2, and my daughter who is only 5 ft... We will be the main people playing this guitar and, well, I dreadnought is just huge and not as comfortable to play as a concert size. But of course, the sound is deeper and louder on the dreadnought. I almost opted for the concert size assuming that the electronics will make up some difference in the sound....ugh... Typing this is giving me buyers remorse. Has anybody tried both of these? Has anybody also tried the parlor size transacoustic? Can anybody give me insight in my plight? Hello all. I am a (somewhat) new cat owner of 4 months. My cat was about 1 year old when I got him. I often work from home and have been having trouble with him bothering my workspace when I work.
I play with him every day, twice a day for 15 minutes each, with Da Bird and the cat dancer until he lays down and is tired. Afterward, I give him a treat. I then try to get to work but he is very attached to me and wants to be with me at all times. This is awesome and I love him so much for that, but he often goes straight for cables and has started to bite my monitor when I’m working. He never does this when I am not there, so I am guessing he is doing it for attention, but I am unsure. I have never had a cat before and am still learning a lot.
I love him so much but am having trouble getting him to stop hopping up on my workstation or going for cables underneath the table. I have tried double sided tape on the table and wrapping parts of cables with the tape but he just ignores it (and even bites on the tape).
I have also bought him quite a few interactive toys and placed them near my desk so that he would have something to do, which sometimes works but he still acts like this most of the time. Additionally I bought feliway (from a suggestion from my vet) but it hasn’t seemed to change his behavior at all.
I don’t think I do a good job training him; when he’s on the desk and starts to do something I don’t like, I will clap or snap and say a firm no while looking at him in the eyes, then pick him up and put him down on the ground; this works for a second, then he goes right back to it.
Any suggestions for how to train him? I really would appreciate any help.

I've been with my bf for almost 3 years, he was a student and I just graduated and got a job, we cannot be married for various legal reasons (not Americans nor in the states).. quickly I got the man pants as I thought it's not right to have him pay since he's got school and has no income.. I paid for everything, we went out almost daily, ate whatever we wanted, I have no friends so he's my friend and bf so i showered him with gifts you're talking musical instruments, high end perfumes, latest gaming sets, gym memberships and so on, eating fancy, parties etc .. Additionally he told me not to make friends because he thinks he should be enough put simply.. that I never agreed on as i believe no such thing as one person knows the answer to everything, let alone a 22 yo still in college, but I shrugged it off...
Sure enough I was correct, we almost got arrested more than 5 times because of his unreliability, i got myself in that situation thinking he knows or surely will know better but no. I got us out of all of those police close calls, I still allowed the situation as I am a very accepting person.. he was always overweight, he put effort in losing some but it regressed which I never thought was an issue for sex but healthwise dangerous so i actively bought him gym memberships that he wasted.. until then i only had eyes for him u know? Like I don't know if I'm overthinking it but I think either it was a whim or the guy just wants to sleep with me or actually likes me.. I don't know which is it.. but this situation is happening

I was at a stop there's a car in front and a bus behind me. I was stopped and leaned over to get something from the passenger seat then felt my truck lurch. I put it in park and looked at my bumper bc I wasn't sure wtf happened and my bumper is like torn in the middle like it was hit but when I looked at the bus she just kinda threw her hands up like it was not her. I talked to the car in front of me and he was okay and looked at the bus driver and pointed to a near by business for us to stop. But the Busdriver didn't stop. So we called the police and filed a report. I'm not 100% sure she did hit me, I'm not 100% sure my bumper was not damaged before because this is a vehicle I use for working . I am 100% sure I have not backed up into anything. The coppers said they would look at the cameras and stuff. I said everything as above except that I wasn't sure if she did hit me or not. I'm just worried bc what if I rolled up and hit him on accident? What if the bus did hit me and theres no cameras? The cops asked me and I said I assume she hit me and didn't write the bus hit me on the police report. I'm really nervous this is going to turn into a big deal, should I call the police and just admit fault???

I’m looking to upgrade my Avenger Titan to a Vulture because I love salvage gameplay. But that leaves me with only one ship in my fleet, Vulture. I think the Vulture will be able to do the same job as the Titan but may lack in bounty hunting. I need emergency money for traveling. I'm going overseas for a month to search for a job and I'm worried that I might not have enough money to cover the expenses while staying there. I'm requesting $400, or more or less, anything helps, which I can use in case of need while I'm gone. When I return in April, I'll pay back whatever I didn't use, and I'll pay the rest back by the end of April. I don't intend to use this money, but without it I could get stuck somewhere without money for the train. If anyone can help me out this will relieve a great deal of stress, thank you.

For context I (F21) have social anxiety which makes it hard for me to leave the house, I’m not working at the moment so the only times I leave the house is when my partner asks me to go somewhere with him. For the entire 2023 I’ve left the house around 8 times, this is to either go to my parents house for dinner or seeing his mum.
I get our groceries delivered to our house, the same with clothes and any other items we might need. Even furniture is delivered and assembled in our home. I don’t have any friends as I’m just too scared that I won’t be able to keep them around. My partner and I have been together for almost a year now and I love him more than anything. He’s always been amazing and they have worked with me to help cope with my social anxiety but things have changed recently.
He’s been becoming more distant and agitated every time we have to go out for whatever reason. Which has made my anxiety even worse. While we’re out I’m always really quiet because I’m always trying not to have a panic attack. I’ve had therapy as well as tried medication but my anxiety is probably the worst it’s ever been.
I don’t know what to do and I feel so alone with what I’m feeling. If anyones has any advice or any ways to help cope I would love to hear.

I started making YouTube videos in my final year of medical schoolat Cambridge University. It was Summer 2017 and I started off with 0 views, 0 subscribers and $0 in revenue.
18 months later, my YouTube channel was at 100,000 subscribersand was making as much money as my full-time job working as a doctor in the UK. And now, as of May 2022, my channel has over 3 million subscribersand I make over £100,000 ($130k) each monthfrom it (and over $350,000 per month from the business as a whole), with 5-10 hours of effort each week. I know — it’s bloody ridiculous.

Thoughts that come to my head as I either see bikers that drive in front of cars and nearly miss getting hit. And cars that try to be nice and let me go but can't trust them because they still are inching forward with the chance of still getting hit.
I'd rather ride around the outside of the car each and everytime or just actually wait. Instead of putting my trust into a driver with no sense of awareness.
Just yesterday I was riding down 145th btwn Lenox & 7th in Harlem. And if you know the area there's this gas station with an opening on the block. And I'm usually aware a car might as t to turn in that way or pull out from the station. So it's usually pretty easy to be aware of that.
Something I wouldn't aware of. Is some idiot being parked opposite like more than halfway down the block. And wants to beeline it diagonally across, trying to race pass me to get into the station. After already being parked for however long he was. Then the clown want to look at me crazy when I called him. Like he wanted to get out and fight almost. Point being, I don't trust any driver. You could be the sweetest grandma but when it's bike vs car. Then that grandma is already labeled a shitty driver in my eyes lol.

I started my first job in September, and I was told yesterday that I'm being let go at the end of the semester (I work for a university). They said I wasn't what they were looking for for the role going forward, and I know I have definitely not been perfect at my job (although they have not actually given me negative feedback)
However, they also posted a job with my exact job description and duties but as a manager with a $20k pay raise. That combined with being asked to work until the end of the semester makes it seem more like being laid off due to the role changing next year.
I don't know if the designation affects whether I can get unemployment or not? They said I'd be able to and they wouldn't fight it but I'm worried I won't.
I know I could ask them, but this is all very raw right now and I am just focused on trying to get through the work day and the next six weeks without crying.

Hi Guys Is anyone rocking his regular 14 or 14 Plus without case? I‘m thinking of using my 14 Plus midnight caseless but I‘m worried about scratching my phone too fast. So I requested my medical records from a small island place I grew up in. I'm not sure if their laws regarding data protection and debt time limits are much different to the UKs but it's gotten confusing.
Initially the GP receptionist said they would send them after they moved premises because the records weren't accessible at that time.
Today they contacted me to say that apparently I owe £150 pounds and unless I pay them £150 they will not be able to send me my medical records, and "How would I like to proceed?" I'm shocked as have no knowledge about any outstanding balance for doctors appointments.
I haven't been to that GP practise in 10 to 15 years, is what they are doing legal? The length of time of the debt, am I still liable? Can they force me to pay before sending the records?
Essentially I have no problem settling the debt if that's what was required, but something feels strange in this situation. Advice greatly appreciated.

There's nothing so wrong with “Luther: The Fallen Sun” that it should be avoided, but nothing—besides the appealing presence of Dwayne Johnson—that makes it worth rushing out to see. spectacles that have more or less taken over studio filmmaking, but it accumulates the genre's—and the business's—bad habits into a single two- hour-plus package, and only hints at the format's occasional pleasures. “Luther: The Fallen Sun” feels like a place-filler for a movie that's remaining to be made, but, in its bare and shrugged-off sufficiency, it does one positive thing that, if nothing else, at least accounts for its success: for all the churning action and elaborately jerry-rigged plot, there's little to distract from the movie's pedestal-like display of Johnson, its real-life superhero.

It's no less numbing to find material meant for children retconned for adults—and, in the process, for most of the naïve delight to be leached out, and for any serious concerns to be shoehorned in and then waved away with dazzle and noise. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses,but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.

Luther: The Fallen Sun, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Wakanda Forever season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Thor: Love and Thunder, though Wakanda Forever will overtake it any day now.

It was a rainy Wednesday morning when Bobbin Bonnet traded his Fiat for a MINI Cooper Sport. It was a nice model; metallic blue with a panoramic roof. Excited about his upgrade, Bobbin had gotten into his new car and reversed it out of the driveway. He turned right, to take the quick route to the highway and it was then his trouble began. Try as he may, his foot refused to press down on the gas pedal.
"Come on, Bonnet," he scolded himself, making sure to add a stern look in the rearview mirror. "Not this again. Just press down on the gas pedal and get out of here."
Bobbin's foot did not move. He tried forcing it into action by pressing down on his knees with both hands. And, when that didn't work, he stomped his foot with the other one. That jolted the car forward a bit, but he doubted that driving on the highway in little jolts would do him much good, although it would probably give the cops a good laugh.
Frustrated, he slammed both his hands down on the steering wheel as hard as he could, and promptly hit the car horn. The loud honk that followed startled him so much, that he almost shot out of his seat and through the glass panels of the panoramic roof.
"Great", he said to himself. "Now you're a sitting duck in a stolen car in broad daylight and you've drawn attention to yourself. Good job Bonnet." He punctuated those last words with short taps on the horn. Might as well, he figured -- he was already screwed. Come to think of it, his occupation was probably one better carried out at night.
At the last short honk, his head snapped to the side. He heard a door squeak and squeal -- it was quite the dramatic sound for a door to make -- and an old couple stepped out of their home. Stay calm, he thought. They're probably just going out to do groceries.
When the old lady settled her glare on him, however, Bobbin shuddered visibly. She looked quite menacing for someone her age. Her hair was cut in a short, spiky style and she wore faded jeans and a black t-shirt. It probably wasn't so much the look in itself, but more the way it punctuated her 'I will fuck you up' stare that made him shudder.
Her husband wasn't any better. He was the skinhead-looking type, with a shiny, bald head and a leather jacket. Somehow, he had forgotten to wrinkle as he aged and thus, looked somewhat like a retired baby. Which would've been funny, if it hadn't been for the dangerous twinkle in his beady eyes.
"Come on, Bonnet," Bobbin grunted as he strained with the effort of moving his foot, which remained unmoving and stubborn. The swirling feeling in the pit of his stomach told him he would not be able to make this trade; it wasn't a fair one. He would have to throw in at least a flat-screen TV and a gaming system to make up for the discrepancy in value and -- seeing as the pensioners were moving towards him -- he truly didn't have the time to arrange for that.
A sharp knock on the passenger seat window interrupted Bobbin's train of thought. "Excuse me," said the spike-haired menace -- she was even more terrifying up close. "What are you doing with my neighbor's car?" Behind her, he could see the woman's husband get in his car.
Think Bonnet, think! The cops are going to have a field day if they catch you again.
Bobbin put on his best smile and rolled down the window. "Morning ma'am," he said cheerfully. "I'm Bobbin from the garage. You know the one, Bobbin's Bonnets..." he had to stop to swallow as the searing skeptical glare that came his way took the moisture straight out of his mouth. The fact that her husband was backing out of their driveway to block Bobbin's new car, didn't help either.
"Erm, as I was saying. Bobbin's Bonnets. Your neighbor asked us to pick up her car for servicing, there's a problem with the gas pedal."
In a moment of brilliance, Bobbin thought to demonstrate the issue. He stomped on his foot with his other one and jolted forward. "See, it's going to be a long ride to the garage. Would've gotten the tow truck but it's out of commission due to an intern-related mishap."
The woman turned to the side, addressing her husband as he got out of his car, his task to block Bobbin now complete. "Says he's from the garage," she started as she walked out of earshot to explain the situation to the man. He could see her punctuate her story with fierce hand movements which made her look like she was conducting an invisible orchestra.
The husband nodded as he rubbed his chin. He asked a few questions to his wife and then -- having decided his course of action -- approached Bobbin with a resoluteness to his step that said he was a man on a mission.
"You're never going to get to the garage like this," the man remarked, his low voice a rumble. "You can use our car to tow this one to your shop and once you're there do some maintenance on ours as well. The tires need replacing so it seems like a win-win."
Bobbin's mouth hung ajar as he tried to process what the man had just offered him. He looked at the car that was blocking his -- a decent SEAT Leon, red, no panoramic roof but no damage either -- and nodded thoughtfully.
"Are you sure, sir?" he asked, trying to hide his excitement. The husband nodded and tossed Bobbin a set of car keys through the open window.
"She's a good neighbor," he replied. "Wouldn't want her to be inconvenienced because you couldn't get her car to the garage. There's a tow rope in the back."
Bobbin got out of the MINI Cooper and got to work. He grabbed the tow rope from the back of the SEAT and knelt in front of his previous new car. As he sunk to his knees to start tying the vehicles together he made sure to make a show of inspecting both cars to make it look like he knew what he was doing. He really didn't.
He flexed his muscles as he pulled on the loose knots, pretending to test how strong they were and if they would hold when towing. He knew they wouldn't, they were looser than a drunkard's tongue. The husband and his wife watched him work with interest, but they didn't comment.
When he was done, he walked over to the Fiat he'd left and grabbed the keys from the dashboard where he'd left them. He handed them over to the old couple. "Loaner car," he said. "You folks are going to have to share it with your neighbor, but she said on the phone that she wasn't planning on going anywhere for a few days."
They both nodded and thanked him and the husband walked with him over to his car to hold the door open for him. "She's a bit finicky on the transmission but she'll get over it once she's warmed up," he said before slamming the door shut.
Bobbin looked around. This car also had air-conditioning, but the sound system was a standard edition and there were no fancy lights either. This would be a fair enough trade. Just a bit better than his previous car, but not too much.
Satisfied, and the swirling feeling in his stomach gone, he turned the key in the ignition and fastened his seat belt. Then, he gave a friendly wave to the old couple -- they had been quite helpful, after all -- and pressed down on the gas. The car came free with a quick snap and he sped away, ignoring the screams and the frantic motions of the people in his rearview mirror.
This had been a good deal, he thought. He was Bobbin Bonnet; a trader, not a thief.

I spoke with the electrician, and asked if he could wait 10/15 minutes for my wife to get home. He said the job has already been cancelled and said the office would call me to rearrange. What do you guys do for a living? And what do you do to make sure you can function at work?

Hello! So I was pulled over in February 2023 driving back from the gas station for my temporary plates. I bought the car in Iowa, I live in Georgia, and I got a car wash so the paper was all pink and I got pulled over and he asked what was up with it. My tag was fine, but when it came to showing my insurance, he gave me a ticket for no insurance and they impounded my vehicle. I was in between jobs and actually got pulled over and my car towed 7 hours before my first shift and I had to call out. I had to make a decision whether to pay my insurance or my rent that month, and decided I wanted to keep a roof over my head. I paid the insurance the next day maxing out a credit card, and it was reinstated without a lapse and also shows that my insurance policy has been active since October 2022. It expires April but since then I have moved back in with my parents due to high costs and I’m on there insurance (MN) but now I have court next week and I’m extremely nervous as to what to even say to the judge and how to plea my case etc. I really dont want to get my license suspended. (this is the only time I’ve been pulled over other than a traffic stop in 2020) Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, As long as I can remember I’ve just had a natural warmer body temperature. My mom has it too and always gets clammy sweaty hands. It’s manageable with short sleeves and loose comfortable clothes. Recently though I just got a new office job and my boss expects me to dress nice. So polos, long sleeve dress shirts, etc. These make me so hot and uncomfortable but I want to look professional so I’ve been doing it. The thickness of polos and long sleeves make me hot and sweat and then I’m shaking peoples hand with a sweaty clammy hand.. I’ve been trying to wipe it off before hand but it doesn’t totally work. I want to fit in with this new world but damn I just want to be a little cooler. Dressing nice makes me run super hot. Does anyone have any ideas how to combat something like this?
