I (25f) started a new job on March 1st and I was in a set with 5 other trainees. 4 trainees were males and 2 females (including myself). The other female in the group (44F) befriended me and throughout the tour of our workplace she wanted to talk to me about her life and I kindly listened but also didn’t give her too much attention when I knew our trainer had important stuff to tell us.
This was the FIRST day of the job. She already started to say stuff such as, “I’m gonna stick with you since you seem like a trustworthy person” then it turned into “oh, I like going horseback riding and I’ve only done it once but it would be nice if I had someone to go with me” or “we should go on a cruise together because I know it would be a fun time”. Like I said, this was the FIRST day.
Continuing on with the first week, I was only workplace nice to her and offered her food but she started to complain about how she didn’t want to take the bus back home and asked me how far I lived (I live an hour away) and if it’s in the direction of where she lives (it isn’t). I did not offer her a ride either because I see it as, you decided to take the job knowing your transportation situation, you deal with what you got because I don’t like people taking advantage of me. She understood for the most part.
Second week comes and my bf (28M) starts his first week at the same job. I introduce him to her and she seemed confused but I didn’t really think too much of it because we were all getting along.
In the same week, something occurs between her and another coworker that startled her to the point where managers had to get involved and had to make sure they don’t work together anymore. I stood up for her then because I told off that coworker when he tried to make it seem like she was at fault. So, from there I’m looking out for her and checking up on her here and there.
So, at this point, I’m friendly to her and would take my breaks with her. She starts to notice how passionate my bf gets when he starts to vent because he does speak loudly but he will only do it if he feels comfortable around you. Because of that, she already started to say, “is he always like that? He reminds me of my son and I know my son can get very violent so just be careful.” And I explained to her that he’s not always venting nor is he always upset and no I don’t have to worry about him being violent because that’s just how he talks just like the rest of his family (they know not of what an indoor voice is).
On our last week of training (week 4) she asked me if I wanted to go the designated smoking area which is off the property and she stated, “I know you don’t smoke but I’m sure you would want to take a break from him since you are always with him and you could get fresh air” I declined and she tries to insist that she just wants to chill by the bus stop and I still decline and then she just assumed it’s because my bf would be upset and I explained to her that I do not want to get off property if I don’t have to.
Then at the end of the day she was asking me if I was gonna marry my bf and when she saw him she was talking to him about her day and we clocked out and went home.
Then very next day, I see her and she looks annoyed and asks me, “Why didn’t you answer your phone? I tried to call you and text you!” She called me 7 whole minutes prior to me meeting up with her. Then on our break, my bf walked in to the break room and greeted her and she ignored him and went on her phone. The day after that, I went up to her and greeted her and she barely mumbled hello so I got up and sat elsewhere and I haven’t said a word to her since that day.
Her behavior seems so strange to me and as puzzled as I was at first, I have not put that much thought into it but did decide to vent about it because I feel very disturbed by her now and what her true intentions might’ve been.

CHEYENNE, Wyo., March 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Gold Corp. (Nasdaq: USAU) (the "Company", "we" or "our"), a copper and gold exploration and development company, released information regarding gold and copper concentrate quality from its CK Gold Project, (the "Project") located near Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Management is pleased to report that metallurgical testing at the Project site has produced a gold and copper concentrate desirable to smelter-refinery operators due to the quality of its gold and copper content and absence of some of the common penalty elements. The concentrates will be shipped off-site to a smelter for further processing and blending with other concentrates. Metal extraction that takes place off-site at an established smelter is an indication that very few chemicals are utilized at site. Additionally, there will be no emissions at the site associated with smelting and refining.
Kevin Francis, our Vice President of Exploration and Technical Services said, "We have done extensive testing and are pleased with the metallurgical work completed to date on the sample concentrate analysis. It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Michael Mason, a 45-year veteran of the smelting and refining business, who has been assisting us with recommendations for marketing the CK Gold Project concentrate and providing insight to its value. Mr. Mason has operated smelters and traded concentrates to meet smelter demands and his expertise has served to be invaluable."
Mr. Mason, in commenting on the CK Gold Project concentrate sample, said, "With a high relative level of gold content in the copper concentrate, the absence of arsenic and very low levels of other deleterious elements such as mercury, I expect that CK Gold Project concentrate will be a desirable feedstock to smelters always on the lookout for material that will enhance options for production. The gangue minerals in the CK Gold Project concentrate have favorable characteristics as a flux medium further adding to the desirability of the concentrate."
The Project's mineral processing facility is composed of a jaw crusher, semi-autogenous and ball mill grind with froth floatation and cleaning. The nominal throughput rate for the facility is 20,000 tons per day and on average, approximately 170 tons per day of concentrated product is projected to be generated for sale to North American or overseas customers. During operation, the mine anticipates shipping over 450,000 tons of sulfide concentrate off-site for refining. The filtered sulfide concentrate is anticipated to include <10% moisture content and solids containing copper, gold and silver-bearing minerals.
Based on extensive metallurgical test work, the sulfide concentrate will be a clean product that will be in demand for its high gold content and lack of deleterious metals. The exact metal content will vary over the mine life, but on average, per our prefeasibility study (released December 1, 2021), the concentrate will contain approximately 19% copper, 1.5 oz/ton gold and 1.7 oz/ton silver. The balance of concentrate mass will be made up of chalcopyrite and gangue minerals such as quartz. This composition, together with the near total absence of any deleterious elements, makes the concentrate an attractive product for sale in very well-established international markets. The copper market is expected to remain strong -- bolstered by ongoing demand for electric vehicles, wind turbines and other CO(2) mitigating technologies.
Final offtake contracts have yet to be settled, but the Project anticipates sales to one of a number of domestic copper smelters, which means that transportation of product by road is viable. The nearest facility is the Kennecott Utah smelter, near Salt Lake City, Utah and this is the most logical destination for the product. Other facilities are located in Arizona and eastern Canada.

TLDR: Power company got the wires switched up between apartments so my roommate and I have been paying the wrong bill. Am I entitled to reimbursement for the difference?
So a week ago our apartments power suddenly shut off and we couldn’t figure out where the problem lies. We called the property management and the power company and they both pointed fingers at each other basically. Eventually the power company sent someone down here and they discovered the wires at the main breaker or whatever were mixed up. The wire leading into apartment a(my apartment) was actually the wire for apartment b. However apartment b forgot to pay their bill so when they tried to shut off the power to their apartment our apartment ended up being the one to lose power. It gets more complicated too. Apparently apartment c’s wire is attached to apartment b. However my apartment(apartment a) isn’t connected to apartment c and we have no clue where it’s connected to. Pretty much the entire apartment complexes wires are shuffled. It’s also not as simple as a b c because the numbers of a b c are like 29 25 and 28 so there’s no sequence of which wires went where. They eventually got it sorted out so now I’ll be paying the right bill. However I want to know if I am entitled to my money back because I’m very careful with leaving stuff on and I’ve always thought my power bills were a bit high. Now I know why.

The argument against taxing staking rewards at the time of custody.
As a staking investor in America, I am locking up and risking assets to help deliver a service in hopes to grow more assets. By using my own judgement and skills, along with my own style of risk management, I’m using my own property, to create more property. Not so different from a baker or farmer.
But does the baker get taxed when he creates more property? Or when he sells the cakes? Does the lemon farmer get taxed when the lemon appears on the tree? No, it’s taxed when the “sale” or “transaction” happens with a third party, and “actual profits are realized.”
Now, just like the baker and lemon farmer, I should be able to make all the decisions with concern to the timing, price, and quantity in which to sell my assets on an open market. Is the price of lemons up or down? Am I competing with another baker across the street. What are my cost and liabilities? And most importantly, what are my tax rates.
From my own personal understanding, when you stake in America, while it’s not the actual law, for some insane reason, we are all suppose to pay a tax on the staking rewards at the time we receive the reward(or take custody), and then again at a later date at the time of sale. This virtually handcuffs any investor in the US who is trying to take advantage of long term capital gains.
Consider these 4 not-so-uncommon scenarios;
1) I receive $100 staking reward and want to hold it for a year to receive the long-term capital gains rate, first, I’m automatically forced to pay the short term income rate when I take custody, so, -$30. Now, lets say the markets are up 25% a year later so my property is now worth $125 when I sell. My long term tax rate would be 10% of extra 25% so, -$2.50 on the sale of that property. I’d take home $125 - 30 - 2.50 = $92.50 forcing me to have an overall effective tax rate of 26% on this asset after holding it for a year.
2)What happens should I need to liquidate my asset and have to sell with the market down after one year? Same $100 asset, $30 for tax when received. At time of sale my asset is down 25% and I sell at $75. I receive $75 - 30 = $45, giving me an overall effective tax rate of 40% on that asset, even after I held it for one year.
3)Let’s say my asset is amazing and does 5x in one year. I sell it for $500. $500 - 30 - 40 = $430 Giving me an overall effective tax rate of 14%
4)One last scenario, let say the asset tanks and losses 80% at time of sale. $100 - 80 - 30 = -10, giving me an overall effective tax rate of 110% after holding the asset for a year.
Now imagine doing this for year with a daily reward of $100 and then the next year you go to sell them and there worth $20 but you still owe the government an extra $3,650! Even after you already paid the $10,950 just for taking custody of your staking rewards.
In conclusion, your asset has to do a 5x before you are even able to get close to long term capital gains rate. Otherwise, you could be wasting a lot of time and money. Am I the only one that thinks it is brutally unfair to tax staking rewards like this? We should only be taxed at the time of sale. Taxing at the time of custody is putting an unfair and deliberate burden on anyone in America trying to take part in staking with a decentralized community.
I hope Jarret v. United States can pull out a miracle, otherwise this war the America government has against crypto will surely keep the American staking investors crippled to the point extinction.

OVERVIEW:
So I started a new job last September 2022. I work at a therapeutic boarding school with kids who struggle with self harm, anxiety, depression, adhd, autism, trauma of all types, etc. I chose this job because as a teen ( also a kid who was in the foster system) I struggled a lot with mental health growing up and I wish my adopted parents could have afforded a place like this for me. I plan to pursue a social work career eventually. We are lgbtq+ friendly and are situated on a lake with lots of outdoor summer camp style activities outside of school.
Story:
So a month and a half after I was hired they hired a black American woman. She seemed pretty great to begin with as she was also a foster kid like me so we swapped stories. First issue arose when she told our students to STFU when they were talking to loudly one morning and that’s way too aggressive for 1 to be saying to kids, some of which came from households that caused them trauma from verbal abuse.
A few weeks later ( my team cleans) the house up on overnight shifts and I had started cleaning the bathroom as well as sweeping and mopping about 30 minutes before she arrived. When she arrived I asked her if she wanted to start cleaning the stairs or the upstairs hallway and she responded “ no I’m cleaning the bathroom and living room” I told her I had already started and was almost done and she said she don’t care that’s what she’s doing. I reported that incident to my supervisor ( who is also the same race as her I’m saying this to set the scene so y’all understand) my supervisor was great.
She was also staying in on campus in a housing room we have for staff. If you move in you are meant to sign a lease but she never got one or was approved to stay there however she moved in anyway. About 2 weeks in she started complaining of mildew in the bathroom in the basement room. ( btw she started this job first day with a cough and would walk out in the mornings without telling us and would later say she just didn’t want to get the kids sick) She never stopped this cough. So 2 weeks later she started telling management that the mildew was giving her a cough and that they needed to fix it. They explained she never signed a lease and was therefore not a tenant and needed to move out of staff housing. She refused and remained. (I have a mildew allergy myself and take medication and I’m fine) She then started threatening to call osha even after they told her she wasn’t meant to be there. We had two other people actually as tenants and neither had an issue.
She then started uploading Tik toks bragging about the “view from her office”. They eventually got her to move out because they got tired of her complaints and she had already burned the bridge with my former supervisor by badmouthing other staff about our on campus housing for staff and was not allowed to speak to her.
Our old supervisor took over office management when she got a promotion and my coworker who had been working a year before I came along took over as supervisor. He’s been great too. Once she burned the bridge with our old supervisor she started venting to him about people and he told her to take it up with the property manager who told her to move out as they had decided to remodel the staff housing into offices ( which they are now doing). She left him a nasty voice mail and called him a stupid white mans and she’d show him not to fuck with her. He filed a harassment report.
I also have a Business degree and part of that degree was landlord laws so I tried to explain nicely to her that she never legally signed a lease so she was not protected by a lease and that they did have the right to refuse her housing after all this drama as she wasn’t paying anything and had moved in without permission. She tried to say “im a landlord and I know the law” and I know she isn’t because she was in the process of remodeling her house 4 hours away to rent it out but hadn’t even started renting but yet. I just kinda nodded and dropped it.
She then one night told me and our other staff she was quitting the following week because she had no where to stay so my coworker sent a heads up email to our supervisor so he wouldn’t be caught off guard. Someone who was attached to the email in management said something to said lady and she snapped and said that was a lie then demanded we tell her who told them and I wasn’t gonna get involved so I said I didn’t. ( it wasn’t a lie as they sent word for word what she said)
She dropped it and we moved on.
We have a protocol to follow when students self harm and we put them on a health watch so there is staff always with them until the recover from the act. It usually lasts a week or so. She was assigned to that room to watch the kid and didn’t doze off but actually laid down with a blanket and pillow to sleep and I caught her. I’m required to call on call staff and report it to our supervisor so I did. A student who woke up around the same time also reported it.
She cornered me and gave me a fake sob story about since they kicked her out she had nowhere to sleep so hadn’t slept since the day before as she can’t go home cause that’s 4 hrs away.
The next morning she demanded we talk her who told them she was quitting again. My coworker who sent the email said idk and I said it wasn’t me and she dropped it.
The next night she didn’t show up for work.
I was sleeping through the day for my night shift when I was woken by a text from her. She said she didn’t know my age but that she had a child my age and I should show her respect. She also said I know It was you who told management about me quitting. She went on to say we are all worse then the kids ( which implied she thinks they were bad and that she didn’t like them, which in my mind makes me think she shouldn’t be around kids)
She then continued on trying to call us liars and that we didn’t try to wake her the night she fell asleep but we did try. We shined a flashlight in her face and tried to wake her without touching so we wouldn’t startle her or talking to to loud as to not wake the kids. A student did report that as they were standing with the staff. The student who reported her she used as a part of her rant saying they didn’t see her asleep but they told other staff they did so that backfired.
She also threw out in the text that we shouldn’t be working with children because we are children.
Management called to fire her later and she quit over the phone.
Idk why she thought she was better then the rest of us just because she was older but it was a really stressful few months dealing with her. After I got that message I called my supervisors supervisor and told her and she informed me that she quit and I started crying I was so relieved. I honestly can say having millennials as managers is the best and I’m so thankful for such an amazing work environment. I feel happier coming to work now and can honestly say this is the best place I’ve ever worked. Management gave us a formal apology for making us put up with her for such a long time as we needed lots of documentation of incidents that happened. There were other major incidents that happened when I wasn’t at work that also added up but I wasn’t involved in.

The rumor comes from established Rockstar leaker Tez2, who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently targeting a release in holiday 2024 “which has been pushed back multiple times.” Tez2 adds the game may be pushed back again, into to 2025.
Furthermore, Tez2 claims Rockstar is considering breaking up the game’s content into post-launch DLC, to ensure the game can meet a release date. If GTA 6 launches in 2024, it will be a whopping 11 years since the last release in the franchise.
This wouldn’t be an unprecedented move from Rockstar, considering the approach the studio has taken with GTA Online, incrementally releasing massive updates and new story content. Notably, however, GTA 5 didn’t feature any additional story content, just updates to the Online portion of the game.
GTA Online GTA Online has managed to stay relevant for a decade with consistent updates, and it makes sense Rockstar would pivot to that same approach to single-player content.ROCKSTAR Taking this approach would let Rockstar more easily hit whatever internal timeline is established for GTA 6, and provide a road map of content to make post-launch more appealing to players. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this kind of rumor has been brought up by Tez2, as last August the leaker reported GTA 6 would “expand over time,” adding on new cities after launch.
