2023.03.22 06:35 Academic-Ad2680 Out of active NBA players who do you think will make the hall of Fame?
Starting with players I think are definitely making it, in no particular order:
Dame Steph Klay Giannis KD CP3 Kyrie LeBron Draymond Kawhi AD Harden
Now for players that could make it, but need to prove themselves via accolades or longevity:
Luka Embiid Jokic Morant Zion Devin Booker PG13 Tatum Russ (yep)
Who do you think, did I miss somebody?

2023.03.22 06:32 Visualmalaise Played my first ever pre-release! Didn’t pull anything crazy or win much but I had a blast! I’m excited for the rest of S/V
Got the Hawlucha in my box, built a deck relying on the Vivillons and grass type. Nothing fancier than a Holo Professors Research and a Meowscarada in my packs, but got all 3 Lechonk cards and Yuka Morii Starling and Stonjourner cards. I felt good about my pulls, got tie for 5th. Overall I had a pretty good time! The other players got some good pulls, ex’s, a couple full arts, one kid pulled the Miriam card everyone is chasing, pretty exciting!

2023.03.22 06:21 gronktheclubuser Books for someone that hasn't read a book since high school?
I haven't read a single book since I graduated high school and I'm looking to give reading a try as a potential new hobby, something to do for those days where I open Street Fighter V, have to play against a Luke or Cammy player in my first match, then stop playing immediately after that match. I have no idea what genre of books in particular I like, but some things I like from video games include:
- High Fantasy. I especially love works that have a very in-depth, consistent magic system rather than just saying "it's magic and it works because it's magic, magic's power is limitless and you can do literally anything with magic, magical deus ex machinas go brrrrrrrr." I also like dwarves a lot.
- Ecology. Subnautica is one of my favorite video games because it really puts effort into making an ecosystem full of fictional plants and animals that aren't really realistic, but they describe and present them in a way that makes them believable nonetheless. Like, you can look at a Peeper, Eyeye, Oculus, and Reginald and see a shared ancestry between them just at a glance (obviously you wouldn't be able to that with a book, but you get the idea). That kinda shit rules to me.
- Combat. I'm not really sure how a book could make an amazing combat scene, but I don't want to make an immediate judgement and say it's impossible given that I haven't read many books. I don't particularly care whether the combat is hand-to-hand, with melee weapons, magic, firearms, whatever. As long as it's hype, it's hype.

2023.03.22 06:21 spicypetedaboi What players are setting themselves up best for a post-NBA career?
Oh yeah the questions ain’t done yet. What player(s) are gonna be prime for the post-NBA jobs. These include coaches, general, scouts ,managers, commentators etc. We all know Draymond Green and LeBron James are set for life but what about lesser known guys? One name I’ll throw out there: CJ McCollum. He’s been on Inside the NBA several times and has a natural TV voice

2023.03.22 06:11 magnemattix Kidnapping goes wrong in the most chaotic way possible
Hey fellow crablings, and hopefully CritCrab if you’re reading this! I wanna start off by saying this isn’t a horror story, but more of just a chaotic session in general. Also I’m writing this after the session just ended, but this session has been the best, most unhinged gameplay I’ve ever witnessed.
It all starts with getting into this homebrew campaign of magical girls, think of sailor moon like, a few months ago at my college. We’ve only had a few sessions due to some scheduling issues but so far it’s been such a blast to see our little group band together and have some fun.
I guess I should also say the player characters of this story as well to make things easier, but there’s:
-Rover(me, a halfling bard who is a pacifist) -Ken(a human cleric turned woman due to a magical mishap) -Amelie(a human Druid) -Silkie(a cat Druid that can take the form of a tabaxi)
Well, after we’ve had some fun and adventures in this magical city parallel to the human realm, we get some information related to the backstory of two of our party members and with it a quest to kidnap the leader of a criminal organization. We all spent the next hour joking around and planning the kidnapping given the intel of someone on the inside. The leader, a small child who stayed young using a magical elixir, was to head to the bathrooms on the second floor to take her medicine, being guarded by her 7’5” Goliath body guard. I joked that I would distract her in a “meet cute” kind of way as my party snuck in and took out the leader. But, then the cleric found out he has a ceremony spell of some sort that allows for marriage between two willing creatures, and so a new plan was put into action.
THE PLAN
Amelie, using some stealth would use create water on top of the guard drenching her dress, and Rover, dressed as a server, would run to her aid and help her get dried up and dressed in a wedding dress that we had stashed beforehand. All the while I had Ken enhance ability my charisma checks so I could ensure I could rizz up this guard and lead her away from our real target.
(A little background about my character before I continue. Rover is heavily inspired by Wander from the Disney cartoon show Wander over Yonder, and thus he is influenced from many aspects of his life. He’s a pacifist, friendly, do-gooder, with a heart of gold. He always sees the best in people and will always do what he needs to help, even in bizarre situations(like marrying a random guard). He is also insanely good at Persuasion and Deception due to him being a College of Eloquence bard, so at this time the lowest possible check of those two would be a 17, so he could always put his friendly aura into good use. Anyways, back to the story…)
After Rover, Ken, and the guard go to a separate room away from the party and guests, the other two, Silkie and Amelie are to incapacitate and sneak out the leader from the bathroom and out to the balcony, where they have flying brooms waiting to fly them out to our hideout. All the while Rover gets married to the guard, with help from our cleric.
THE KIDNAPPING
So we all arrive to this mansion in the summoned car from our cleric, and enter being checked by the guards(one of which is undercover). Rover begins to work as a server on the second floor, as the two druids sneak around and the cleric goes to my aid with the guard. A few persuasion checks later, and with a dress and a ring I get married to this guard. And as we kiss, she reveals some startling information…
SHES PRETENDING TO BE THE GUARD, AND IS ACTUALLY THE LEADER OF THE CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!
(Although as we are married she does explain that she hates her family and wants to run away with me, so I’m hoping this is a story of redemption and Rover can be by her side, married or not, he won’t let her down.)
And that’s where the session ended, and the whole party freaked out to this realization, but only half our party actually knows this in game as the two druids are working on what they assume to still be the plan with kidnapping the other woman. We also don’t meet up for another week, but if there’s anything else to update on, I’ll let y’all know!
TLDR: Our party sets a plan for my character to marry someone as a distraction so they can kidnap the leader of a criminal syndicate, but ends up marrying the leader on accident.

2023.03.22 06:03 Snoo_30063 So The Light didn't Fall After all.
Well, first, this is my humble opinion about the new expansion and, I am very, very disappointed.
A couple of years a go, Lightfall was portrait as one of the darkest moments in Destiny 2 since The Red Legion when we lost not just the light but the tower for the entire expansion.
That's the biggest contradiction of this expansion.
On The Red Legion campaign, the Traveler was involved in some sort of tech force field, leaving pretty much all the guardians lightless. He almost killed us. This was Ghal, a mortal, warrior, strong, but mortal. Not even close to a deity like The Witness.
Now, we see the Witness arriving, in what should be a massacre, a destruction, leaving us again Guardians lightless, almost defenseless, but, the worst case was that she took the Traveler for a walk. Nothing more than that.
We didn't lose the light, we still have our powers, not just us but all the guardians, Crow, Zavala (R.I.P Lance) Everyone still have their powers and resurrection.
Now my negatives on the expansion.
There's nothing to be afraid of in terms of Lore at the moment.
There's no sense of urgency, there's only the happy crazy Nimbus and an empty Neomuna, there are no civilians, there is no life in the city. In comparison, to THE WITCH QUEEN, LIGHTFALL seems more like a weekly reset from a season than anything else. I finished the main story in a couple of hours, while THE WITCH QUEEN took me days or even more than a week of playthrough. Also, now they are even giving the option to pay to skip the entire campaign.
I don't know, I think Bungie is receiving the wrong advice from a Financial point. I think they lost a ton of players going full PG. They were already some sort of PG-13 like rating, even my 14 y/o daughter thinks the game lacks depth on this expansion. Character like Nimbus, Rohan, Archivist and all the rest are beyond forgettable.
I've bought the whole thing always, since the Destiny 1. This is the first time that I bought the standard expansion, and I regret spending my £39.99 on this shallow content.
Also the grind, geez, the grind now is twice as boring.
But why do still have the light after the Traveler being involved and kidnapped by all the pyramids.
I hope this thing gets darker by the next seasons, because THE LIGHT SHOULD BE FALLING FFS!!

2023.03.22 06:03 ezr1der_ How do you about with the problem of using Triggers for "Hurt" animation in Player?
I'm having a problem when it comes to my hurt animation.
Context:
I have a statemachine behaviour set up for my attack mechanic which consists of 3 separate animations with transitions leading to the rest of the attack animations if and only when the player keeps pressing the input to trigger the attacks (ex. if Input.GetKeyDown(
KeyCode.Space) is only pressed once then only 1 of the 3 attack animation is played) If you press the the input more than once then you have a cool little combo.
THE PROBLEM:
That each time my player is hit... it basically restarts the attack combo to the 1st animation... despite the fact that I'm spamming the input to trigger my other attack animations. It sometimes goes thru to the 2nd animation, but that is because when I'm spamming my input sometimes I react faster than my enemy's "attackcooldown = 2f".. but it looks so choppy when I'm trying to get a 3 hit combo thru.
What would you do in this case?
Would you use two separate animations for when my player is hit?
for example: have 1 that triggers the hurt animation only when my player isn't attacking
and the other bunch of particle effects for when my player is hit while doing its combo so it doesn't get interrupted?
or just I make it turn based?
you can watch my problem here:

thx!

2023.03.22 05:34 ReignInSpuds '22 MVP voting still chaps my ass...
... but let's see Aaron Judge top that. A whole championship and ceremony basically lauding Shohei as the best baseball player in the world. That was the greatest game I've ever watched, and the ending is already burned into my memory like Erstad's final catch. Remember where you were when you witnessed that final AB, because one day, there will be a movie about it.
