It already has been two years damn, farewell my friend(a bit emotional post)
It was two years ago three soon btw on a morning of june(5 the) that i discovered this game for the first time. As an artist i found myself being happy as a 5 years old on a Christmas morning seeing the beautiful art, for the characters and world alike, it was kind of surreal to me, i fought i had found the perfect game that mixed my love for art and game in one. And so it was.
It was this game that reignited my already burning passion for art especially for splash arts and helped me pushing far beyond the limit that i would pose myself in my art, i will forever cherish in my heart the moment I've done this splash and posted it here, in this sub, being submerged with positive and heartwarming comments that made that day one of the best I've ever had.
I have soo many good and joyful memories too of exos that i will never forget, from the game itself or from this community, like the time me and my brother made a challange of who pulled first the fatecore from a box with the fixed rate(srry forgot the name), or the excitement and fear of the new terrible meta that would come lol from the announcement of the first dragon scales FC, or like being soo much into the story that we made future predictions for the next story chapters to come, and so on.
Sadly tough, the day the devs decided that they would turn my favorite game into a cheap version of E7 broke my heart, all those changes form the passives, the artifacts and the treatment the devs put and so on made me quit the game, i was so disappointed that i couldn't find the force to play it all again and so my exos journey stopped there. I tried many time returning to it but I clicked on me no more.
I've always kept an eye and followed both the community and the game, and in time I've seen how the devs slowly lost all passion and love they had for the game, and I felt that Exos soon or later would have ceases to progress and develop bringing the server closing day far more early that i expected, And so that day finally came.
I couldn't find the word at first for this as i still couldn't believe it was happening but.. here we are, Thanks for everything Exos heroes, thanks for everything Exos community, you are on the most heartwarming i've ever found and thanks for all the memories you gave me, I'll cherish them as hard as i can, it was a truly beautiful journey we had together ❤️.

At the edge of the cliff stands Dragon's Rest, a monastery of red stone. Its residents want to create a safe haven out of this blood stained land, a place for those who long for peace, who wish to heal the wounds of the past. How long will this peace last? Only time will tell.
You have been hired by a mysterious man by the name of Lord Aidron to assist his dear aunt in any way she may need while he is unavailable. Good pay, easy work, you had assumed. Simply help out this nice old lady with some menial tasks and get a nice vacation out of this.

Campaign Details: Hello! Thank you for reading through this little blurb of mine. I am Zizi (she/her), your new DM, hopefully. I am somewhat of a beginner. This will be the first time I DM something entirely on my own so I am very excited to invite you to this adventure with me.
As you can probably guess, we will be playing the new Starter Adventure: Dragons of Stormwreck Isle! It is a relatively small campaign, going from level one to level three, but I do have some extra material so if I see everyone is having fun, I can expand it to level 5.
This game will be pretty well-balanced all around ( 60/40 roleplay to combat). I will say that fellow explorers will also have quite some stuff to dive into. Not giving out any spoilers, but Stormwreck Isle does have its fair share of secrets.
Requirements: •18+ only (Disclaimer: there will be no explicit material in this campaign, just a preference thing) •Be nice (no one likes a jerk) •Be available at the time stated above •Have a basic grasp of english •Have a working microphone
Generally, I am looking for players who love engaging with the story, NPCs and other players. No prior experience required.
I have three more players already. We were supposed to start tomorrow but one had to drop out so I felt this would be a good moment to search for some new people! We are playing weekly, on Friday, at 7:30 PM GMT.

My First Ever Successful Oyster Grow
Hey everyone. I'm another newbie mycologist starting out and I would like to share with you all my experience / story of my first successful grow, it was quite the ride. Here goes. I have tried to grow pink oyster mushrooms from 2 different kits prior to this, and each time failed due to contamination. It motivated me further. Spent countless hours watching videos, and reading to try and learn more about this hobby and what the hell I was doing so wrong.
Got a blue oyster kit last Christmas as a gift. Follow the instructions that come with the kit to a T, and I find contamination again. Not only that, but a new problem I have never seen yet. An infestation of mushroom flies. My goodness do they reproduce like crazy.
Now instead of just tossing the whole bag I decide I'm going to try to save some of it if I can. Pressure sterilized some jars and transfered some of the grain farthest away from the contamination. Left the rest of the grain in an old food container and plastic wrapped the shit out of it to kill the remaining flies/larva and as an experiment to see if the blue oyster mycelium could out compete the mold.
Came back a while later and it actually wiped out the mold, no contam anymore. No flies either. So I pressure sterilized some popcorn and did a grain to grain transfer in my still air box. Now at this point, my first jars are ready to be put to spawn. Decided to try out toilet paper rolls and making my own grow bags. Freezer bags, polyfil and a juice bottle to cut the hole for polyfil. Boil water, dunk the rolls for 1-5 seconds and let sit to cool down for a half hour or so. Put a roll in each bag, break and shake grain jars, fill the center of the toilet paper roll up with fully colonized grain and sprinkle a little on the top toilet paper itself. Close bags and let colonize until initial pinning.
The pictures should show the story quite well. I do have this little blurb from the 18th day however:
Day 18. So have done quite a bit of adjusting since last update. Was having issues with long tall fruits due to not enough fresh air exchange. To correct this, I have opened the bags wide open as soon as I saw a new pinset starting. Also ran into issues with too high of temperature not inducing pinning. Blue oysters specifically prefer a colder temperature (16-18°C or even lower lol) which is abnormal to say the least. To correct this issue, I moved all the bags into my coldest room in the house. I have been misting the walls of the bags 3x a day and a very very gentle misting on the fruits themselves 2x a day with my flairosol mister.
TL;DR : First successful blue oyster grow, salvaged a kit from contamination, and mushrooms flies. DIY grow bags, and fruited from toilet paper.

Spoilers with my thoughts on The End and Mafuyama’s relationship as a whole…
As much as I wanted Mafuyu and Ue to have like… deep conversations, and for Mafuyu to fully explain Yuki, and improve their communication overall, and to see more physical affection between them, I do have to admit that their characters are so real for handling their relationship the way that they did, especially in the context of Japan. Given has always been a very realistic story in many ways, going so far as to use real locations (train stations, stores, venues) and even real album art as we see in the final chapter. Kizu-Sensei values realistic portrayals in her story, from the settings to the characters, and by writing Mafuyu and Ue like this, she’s kept them highly believable. I feel like they could be actual students of mine (in fact I had a student last year who reminded me of Mafuyu). In some ways the things lacking from their relationship were frustrating and disappointing, but at the same time, this is what kept them very real.
First off, indirectness is polite and expected. Like, as a random example, one way to turn down an invitation is to say “Sorry, but it’s a little…” and just leave it at that. Being direct comes off as harsh, and even being direct about something positive can embarrass the other person. You learn to “read the air” and pick up on the unspoken vibes rather than saying or asking directly. I’m sure this is at least partly why Ue wonders about Yuki and Mafuyu’s past but never actually brings it up. It’s also why they don’t just say what they’re thinking and like… idk, COMMUNICATE 😆 much to Haruki’s dismay. He tried. 🥲
I’m fact, I’ve talked to many of my uni students about their relationships (part of my job is to just chat with students about whatever), and though it’s a small sample size, I noticed that poor communication is not unusual. Being unsure of the other’s feelings but also being afraid/embarrassed to ask or talk about them is a very common problem. It seems that love is more of a “show, don’t tell” situation (compared to my own experiences in relationships in the US). Likewise, Mafuyu and Ue communicate in looks, touches, and gifts/gestures more than their words, and (basing this on my students anyway), this is really quite a realistic portrayal of young love in Japan.
Finally, let’s not forget that being gay in Japan is still heavily stigmatized. Some of my students tried to start an LGBTQ+ club/circle last year and the university rejected it for a few reasons, including this gem— it could be “confusing” to others. 🙃🙃 So simply existing in this context adds an intense and heaping dose of caution, uncertainty, and embarrassment to Ue and Mafuyu. PDA between straight couples is rare, so seeing any gay couples interacting with any level of PDA would be shocking. Mafuyu and Ue share their moments in private and in quiet, hidden places. They’re also hiding their relationship for band promotion purposes. So in this context it makes sense that they would move slowly and carefully. Do I wish we had more of them on dates and making out and all that fun stuff?? Of course! But the way it’s been written suits them and it feels real. They’re still high schoolers until the very end. They’re young and Ue is inexperienced. Their slow pacing is really sweet and believable. The kiss at the end is sweet and comes easily, which shows that they are becoming quite comfortable with each other. Mafuyu’s final line and Ue’s reaction is the icing on the cake 😆😆
In summary, of course I want more of them… I will always want more. But the way it ended feels very realistic to me and I love that too. I like that their futures are bright and open. I’ll carry Mafuyu and Ue with me for the rest of my life. ❤️

I saw the hat man about 15 years ago and it's stuck with me to this day. Had been sensitive to paranormal occurrences all my life, but this was the first time a whole person had straight up appeared in front of me. Never realized it was a phenomenon til I got on Reddit and saw other people describe him perfectly, too. Tall man in a suit, fedora style brimmed hat, red eyes, and his existence was black as a shadow.
Long story short, I had woke up around 1am and came downstairs for a midnight snack. Age appx 13-15 years old. Got to bottom of stairs and he was sitting on my couch, straight back and one leg crossed across the other. Hands folded together like he was about to drop some news. My heart dropped and I froze in fear as he raised his head and his red eyes looked into my soul. I blinked and tried to catch my breath but he was still there. I snapped back to reality and turned around to flip the light on, and when I turned back around, he had vanished. That image has been burned in my mind ever since

I want to preface, if you haven't watch the movie for some reason DO NOT read this post. Anything marked as a spoiler means light novel spoilers.
I think Shoko should have died. Everyone has their own opinion of what makes a good 'drama', but I think a crucial element is tragedy. Tragedy doesn't have to be death, but in bunny girl senpai they made the tragedy be death, or at least they tried too. I feel like characters should not be just brought back from the dead, or like magically escape death, BUT bunny girl senpai is kind of an exemption. The whole being able to go back in time due to adolescence syndrome was a perfect spin on Mai's death, but it was supposed to be at Shoko's expense, that should've been the tragic part. I really just don't like the fact that, Shoko some how magically escaped death. Overall I think the fact that both of them made it out alive is what made the movie not as impactful, and what makes it even LESS impactful was the fact that Shoko remembered him in the ending. What confuses me the most too is why the author wouldn't leave Shoko dead, considering the fact that she literally moves away and she really isn't in the story anymore. So it's not like we get to see her anyways.
All in all, I think the movie was amazing, I still believe bunny girl senpai is one of the best romance/dramas, and watching the movie the first time made me cry. But re-watching the movie or even thinking about the movie doesn't effect me in the slightest, like how 'I Want to Eat Your Pancreas' does for example. In that movie she dies, that's what makes it so sad to think about or re-watch, but with bunny girl senpai its like I know they all live, so why would I even bother to be sad when I re-watch it.
Also I still think that bunny girl senpai has amazing elements of tragedy, Panda Kaede becoming Kaede and overcoming her adolescence syndrome is a perfect example. Another perfect example is how their mother didn't remember Sakuta.
I don't know, this post probably sounds really random and jumps all over the place. I'm so bad at making my thought all sound connected, so if anything is confusing just reply and I'll try to clarify lmao.

MJF eats it all up… AEW’s greatest heel may have become its greatest face in one night. The live audience is jubilant to see him and he reciprocates, diving into them just as CM Punk had done, hugging Taz at the broadcast desk, wearing the jersey of that city’s football team.
Joy reverberates in his words once he grabs the microphone:
"BUFFALO, NEW YORK! THE DEVIL IS BACK! Now listen up Buffalo, first things first... Who's excited to see MJF? “Lord knows I am. Guys, I love Buffalo, New York, hell the greatest Quarterback of all time, Josh Allen is from Buffalo. Now, we're gonna get down to brass tacks a little bit here, okay? Last time you guys saw me I might've said some offensive stuff, I'm just being honest…
The fans strike up a loud chant: “YOU WERE RIGHT”

Moxley leaves to a furious ovation and has rallied the AEW fans back to reason and rationality. It’s only temporary though, and an unnerved mood persists. The message is delivered by Moxley, truly the Ace of the company… But it feels like it should’ve come from someone else and perhaps that someone else would have been there to deliver it if he wasn't turned away. Better yet, the situation may have been avoided entirely.
But then again, maybe the whole damn thing was inevitable all along.
January 4, 2016 - Tokyo
Following their tag win over CHAOS, Kenny Omega betrays and usurps the leader of Bullet Club, AJ Styles, at NJPW: New Year’s Dash.
"AJ Styles! My god, you can't be surprised, can you? You people, you can't be surprised. You at home you better not be surprised. You had this coming, AJ. We gave you the big matches, we gave you the big pay-per-views. We made you a star, we paid you like a star. While I struggled, while I starved, forcing myself to be a junior. Everybody called you a leader, everybody called you the boss. Well AJ, if you are the boss, I'm just gonna say it. You have now been fired.
The rest of the Bullet Club is initially in disagreement before coalescing around Kenny and ganging up on Styles. They leave with their former leader in a heap, but Kenny and the Young Bucks gather at ringside. The three of them return to the ring and continue the brutal assault on AJ Styles… They are still in the Bullet Club, but within that organization, henceforth they will be The Elite.
January 4, 2017 - Wrestle Kingdom 11
Having stormed through his first ever attempt in the tournament, Kenny Omega became the only gaijin to have ever won New Japan’s G1 Tournament and earned the right to challenge for the company’s top prize at WK11.
That night in the Tokyo Dome, Omega and Okada created magic in one of the greatest matches in wrestling history. On the same show, Bullet Club’s newest member debuts: Cody Rhodes. Frustrated with his position and his creative direction, Cody had requested and been granted his release from WWE the previous summer, Cody makes his way across the Pacific, sending shockwaves through the international wrestling landscape.
Despite this shot in the arm, Bullet Club is tested by the crushing defeat of its leader. Following his loss to Okada, Kenny steps away from wrestling to assess his future. When he returns after several weeks Cody had grown ambitious and plots in the background.
June 11, 2017 - Dominion
In a rematch of their classic from the start of the year at Wrestle Kingdom 11, Kenny Omega attempts to avenge his defeat and claim the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Kazuchika Okada. Earlier in the night, Cody had grabbed a headset and proclaimed he wanted to face Okada himself.
Omega and Okada push each other over the limit even harder than before. Omega is taking inhuman punishment yet refuses to give up. Eventually, Cody makes his way down to the ring and attempts to throw in the towel for Kenny, but the Bucks stop him.
The timekeeper’s bell rings, marking it a 60-minute draw.
Afterward, the Elite debate whether it was a true act of mercy by Cody or a scheme for his personal goals
Cody storms Okada’s post-match press conference, where he mocks the champ, spits in his face, and challenges him for a title match.
May 16, 2017 - The Bet
Dave Meltzer quote-tweets a question asking if anyone could sell 10,000 tickets to a non-WWE show in America, to which he replies, “Not anytime soon.”
Cody takes note and responds: “I'll take that bet Dave… put The Bucks & I on the card & 3-months to promote”... Over the next year this grand dream between Cody and the Young Bucks will come to fruition.
July 1, 2017 - Returning the Favor
Cody unsuccessfully challenges Okada for the IWGP championship. Kenny comes to ringside and wants to throw in the towel just as Cody had tried weeks earlier. After the match, the two of them nearly come to blows backstage and Cody flips a table.
August 2017 - G1 Climax
Throughout the tournament, Bullet Club nears a boiling point. OG member Toma Tonga questions Omega’s leadership due to having his small inner circle of The Elite within the larger group. In the weeks and months to follow, Cody identifies Kota Ibushi as Kenny Omega’s weakest point and starts targeting him as a wedge to divide the Bullet Club and create chaos wherein he can ascend to power.
January 4, 2018 - Wrestle Kingdom 12
Looking to use a win over Ibushi as a flashpoint to take control of Bullet Club, Cody viciously mauls Kota in a singles match but can’t secure the victory. Frustrated that his plan failed, the next night at New Year’s Dash he launches a post-match assault on Ibushi. Cody and the rest of Bullet Club are wailing on Ibushi until Kenny rushes out to stop them… but the rest of Bullet Club can’t help feeling Kenny views his old tag partner as more important to him than they are. Cody’s plan bears fruit as Kenny makes a massive unforced error: he invites “Switchblade” Jay White to join Bullet Club and be a shot in the arm for the faction, only for White to betray him immediately and join CHAOS.
January 7, 2018 - Being the Elite #87
Camera follows the Elite as they are tense and nervous preparing for Wrestle Kingdom a few days earlier. It jumps to the group after New Year’s Dash, all gathered at a tense dinner conversation. To break the tension, Matt proposes a new gimmick for the group: “BTE IS DRUG FREE”... aka, Straight Edge… no one shoots it down, but they’re not thrilled either, and Cody hides his beer underneath the table.
The effort to relieve things fails, however, and Cody blurs the line between kayfabe and shoot, shouting for the cameraman to put the camera down. Then we get a fly-on-the-wall glimpse at him charging Kenny with always “turning everything into a bit”, disregarding the group, and heatedly asking him if he’s actually their leader before Kenny finally storms away from the table.
January 28, 2018 - Civil War
Jay White scores a massive upset at New Beginning and takes the IWGP United States Championship from Kenny Omega. After the bell, Hangman confronts Jay White and seeks to challenge for the title, but Kenny stops him. The Bucks and Cody rush to the ring, and Cody accuses their leader of stepping on Hangman’s moment. A violent argument ensues with Kenny shoving Matt Jackson to the ground.
Once the Elite have left the ring and Kenny is alone, Cody seizes the opportunity and hits Kenny with a CrossRhodes, initiating the Bullet Club Civil War. The only thing saving Omega from a brutal attack that night is Ibushi, who runs off Cody and returns the favor for his old friend and partner, reuniting the Golden Lovers after years of separation. Regardless, Cody’s plan is in full effect. Bullet Club is in disarray and if he is to take power, now is the opportunity.
In 944 days, Roman Reigns becomes world champion to begin his and the Bloodline's vice grip on WWE.
January 30, 2018 - Being The Elite #90
Cody, to the assembled Elite of Matt, Nick, Hangman, and Marty:
It isn’t my place, but you’ve known that guy for over ten years. I don’t get it, I’m sorry. Yeah, he’s a great wrestler, but leadership… Like I said, it’s action not position! That’s not acting like a leader! ‘Oh, you’re my second, you’re my second’... Who the F-CK are you seconds for? Nobody! The best tag team in the world! And Hangman, it’s your moment! He… He ruined it.
Bullet Club is fine… Bullet Club is fine.
Kenny & Ibushi go to visit the Bucks in their hotel room, Room 710… but we aren’t shown what happens next.
February 12, 2018 – Being the Elite #92
Cody floats around reassuring everyone: “Bullet Club is fine.” All of the guys have pure depression on their faces, but Cody continually gasses them up, telling the Bucks they’re ready for the jump to the heavyweight division and encouraging Marty to start up a Villain Club of his own. Later, Matt, Nick, and Marty are commiserating in a locker room prior to a Ring of Honor show when Hangman and Cody strut through the door.
Cody, smugly:
“Whew, look at that! Did you guys see [Hangman] kick the door down??”
He thinks a couple of surprises might cheer them up. The first, some new merch that says “Bullet Club is Fine” doesn’t do the trick, so he takes them for the second surprise: their new mascot, Bury the Drug-Free Bear. Using his best Sting voice, Cody introduces Bury as someone who will “shock the world” only for him to “fall on his f-ckin’ arse” like the Shockmaster did 25 years earlier.
Kenny tries to call Matt, but Cody sees the call coming through on the phone and declines it.
February 19, 2018 – Being the Elite #93
Cody maneuvers the Bucks around the Melbourne airport to keep them from running into Kenny. While traveling, Cody further drives the Ibushi wedge between Matt and the absent Kenny and plays up that Kenny only views the Bucks as a junior tag team. Later, Cody takes the brothers out to the zoo and to the movie theater as we see Kenny emotionally watching Casablanca on his phone.
The Bucks catch up with Tonga and the OGs backstage in a locker room where they try to make peace.
Matt:
“Alright guys, thanks for gathering here. Nick and I feel like there’s one important thing that we need to talk about… I think it’s kind of obvious, right? There’s a divide in the Bullet Club. It’s almost like there’s two entities all of a sudden. It’s like there’s Bullet Club BTE and Bullet Club OGs… Nick and I have been watching what you’ve been doing in Japan… holding down the fort, representing the Bullet Club, making the name proud. But we’ve been back at home in the US doing the same thing. There is no heat here. We love you guys. When we all say that catchphrase, when we say ‘Bullet Club is for life’, we mean it. It’s not just a catchphrase, okay? There’s no heat here. The only heat is between two individuals: Cody and Kenny.”
Tonga:
“Cody is right. Bullet Club is fine.”
The two groups shake hands, then Cody enters the locker room, surprised to see everyone together:
“Did somebody call a meeting? I didn’t call a meeting…”
In strolls Kenny.
Kenny: So there he is. The snake in the grass. Three-star savior. Hey Cody.
Cody: Did you see the sign outside? It says 'Bullet Club'.
Kenny: That's right, and I AM THE LEADER.
They start brawling and the others can barely keep them apart.
Cody:
Touch me and I'll sue! Touch me and I'll sue!!
Cody throws a chair that barely misses Kenny and the Bucks.
Matt and Nick look at each other, devastated at what’s become of the group.
February 25, 2018 - Being the Elite #94
Matt Jackson is on a plane traveling between shows, doing the same thing as Kenny from the previous episode: watching Casablanca.
For those who haven't seen it, the story at the heart of the film is a love triangle: cynical club owner Rick, his first love Ilsa, and her rebel husband Laszlo, enhanced by a background of espionage and war with the local police chief, Renault, at the crossroads of the entanglements.
It’s foreshadowing the story to come. In the film, Rick and Ilsa had a passionate love before the events on screen, but they split up and Ilsa then wound up with her now-husband Laszlo, a Czech rebel carrying vital documents for the resistance against Nazi Germany. Rick and Ilsa reunite and rekindle their romance until Rick – knowing she’s better off with her husband – convinces Ilsa to leave with Laszlo before local authorities catch them. Rick stays behind, killing the evil Major Strasser who was attempting to stop the married couple from escaping Casablanca. Renault, who has been playing both sides (Germans and Resistance) up to this point, is touched by Rick's sacrifice. Other policemen arrive and see Strasser's dead body. Rather than identify Rick as the culprit, Renault instructs the cops to "round up the usual suspects"... And of course, that classic line provides the name of the film The Usual Suspects, from which Punk, and MJF, and Don Callis have all quoted the final line:
"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making you believe he doesn't exist."
The Usual Suspects is a tale of a mysterious crime lord who manipulates and controls multiple criminals to achieve his ultimate goal and get away scot-free. It is tightly designed so that if you rewatch it knowing the ending, you realize and notice dozens of things you missed on the first viewing.
As Casablanca ends, Rick says to Renault: "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship", implying that if they work together, they can get away with almost anything…
This BTE episode ends with the group all in Japan. The Bucks approach Kenny and Ibushi to have a conversation, but Kenny doesn’t have time for them. Later that night at the event, Cody pulls the Bucks into a hallway and implores them to listen to the promo Kenny is cutting in the ring at that exact moment, where he declares the Golden Lovers the greatest tag team in the world. Cody pushes them to go handle it. The Young Bucks go to the ring while Cody flashes a devilish smile.
Matt:
From this day forward, my brother and I have decided to move up and compete in the heavyweight tag team division.
It puts them directly in opposition with the Lovers. Kenny and Ibushi confront them backstage, but the Bucks don’t take anything from him, saying they’ve always been there to support him but it’s never been returned. All those times they were there to pick Kenny up off the mat, where was Ibushi?
March 5, 2018 - BTE #95
In Vegas, Matt and Nick are in the dressing room talking when Bury the Drug Free Bear enters and seems desperate to tell them something. Bury is about to remove the head to his costume when Hangman bursts in. He is angry with Matt for not helping him during his confrontation with Joey Ryan the week prior. Cody enters and asks Bury why he hasn't got his Bullet Club shirt on and pulls him away to get changed. Everyone looks confused and Matt wonders what the bear was trying to tell them.
Cody is in the production studio and calls Nick over to suggest that Matt is holding him back and that he should consider wrestling in singles matches, but Nick looks unconvinced. Later that night, Cody is in the ring celebrating with Brandi and Bury after his match. As Cody goes to hug Bury, the bear pushes him to the floor. Standing over a prone, confused Cody, Bury removes his costume head to reveal Kenny Omega ,who knocks out Cody with a knee strike as the fans go wild.
Cody is demented after the match:
“What a time. What a time to be involved in this great sport… Everybody’s eyes in this sport are fixed on New Orleans, on Supercard of Honor… my very first encounter with Kenny Omega. So wouldn’t that be enough? As a professional… that feather in your cap, that everybody is talking about your match, that everybody wants to see your match, that you have stolen the [Wrestlemania] weekend from the rich and you have given it to the poor… wouldn’t that be enough?
So why the… escalation? Why come to Las Vegas? … You’re supposed to be the best wrestler in the world! A hero! You’ve got a bag full of them [match rating] stars, well I have a book full of dates, full of cities, full of towns, because I’m not a hero once a month! I’m a hero every single night!
Perception is no longer reality. Reality is reality.
And the reality is that I am the leader of the Bullet Club… that I am the hero in this story.”
March 20, 2018 – BTE #97
Just like he did with Nick previously, Cody sequesters Matt and says his brother has been holding him back and he needs a singles push.
In Japan, Kenny records a message to the Young Bucks apologizing, saying how Cody has gotten into everyone’s heads and divided the group, and hopes to make amends… Unbeknownst to him, Cody has Nick’s laptop so he intercepts the message and edits it down to an insulting challenge. Matt is enraged, but Nick is suspicious.
March 25, 2018 – The Elite Fight It Out
In Los Angeles at NJPW: Strong Style Evolved, the Golden Lovers face the Young Bucks in a deeply personal grudge match. After a brutal, back-and-forth war where the Lovers emerge victorious, Kenny attempts to bury the hatchet. Nick accepts the olive branch, but Matt refuses to shake Kenny’s hand. Cody hits the ring and berates Matt for eating the pin during the match. When Nick intervenes, Cody spins around and shoves him to the ground.
Later in the locker room, Cody comes in to ask what happened out there. The Bucks are challenging him for his actions, but Cody shouts them down, saying he thought it was Kenny in the ring and that he would never do such a thing to them. Cody apologizes profusely and leaves.
Nick:
“I don’t think we can trust this guy.”
April 7, 2018 – Supercard of Honor XII
With the leadership of Bullet Club at stake, Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes square off in a hard-hitting match. Having grown wary of Cody and his schemes, the Bucks come down to the ring and decide to attack Cody. They launch double superkicks… but Cody ducks and the kicks land on Omega, allowing Cody to hit his finisher and claim the win. Matt and Nick attempt to explain, but Kenny refuses to listen.
In the backstage area, Cody is ecstatic at wresting control of Bullet Club away from Kenny. He wants to celebrate, but the Elite leave the dressing room and leave Cody sitting alone in his ring gear, sweaty, bloody, with a black eye and a gym towel draped around his shoulders, looking starkly similar to another guy post-match four years later…
June 4, 2018 – BTE #105
After a busy summer in which Cody and the Bucks have assembled the looming All In event, Matt and Nick try establishing lines of communication with Kenny in Japan. Ibushi implores him to reconcile with his old friends but he’s reluctant. Cody is obsessed with running a Senate election campaign in Texas and practices his speeches in bathroom mirrors, but it almost sounds like he’s talking to his stablemates. Meanwhile, a package that Matt and Nick sent him weeks ago has been collecting dust the whole time. Ahead of his fourth match with Kazuchika Okada, Kenny decides to open the package…
June 9, 2018 – Omega vs Okada IV
Everyone is in Japan for the big Dominion show. Hangman approaches Cody and asks what the plan is for tonight. Cody looks sullen and calls off whatever he had been plotting to ruin Omega’s big night.
Kenny triumphs in possibly the greatest match in wrestling history, claiming the IWGP heavyweight championship. He reunites with the Young Bucks afterward, and it’s revealed that in the package are Golden Elite shirts, honoring the pact they made in Hotel Room 710 at the start of the year.
Cody approaches the locker room with congratulatory gifts for Kenny and to make peace, but he stops short and leaves them outside the door.
July 7, 2018 – Debts Are Settled in San Francisco
At the G1 Special NJPW show, Cody challenges Omega for the IWGP championship. After a war with Kenny emerging in triumph, the Elite gather and celebrate… until the Bullet Club OGs attack them in retribution for the dysfunction and strife they’ve brought to the group over the previous two years. Cody returns to the ring and is given a chance to brutalize Kenny, but instead he defends him and rejoins the Elite in full.
Over the coming months, Cody, Kenny, Matt, Nick and Hangman solidify themselves as a core group leading up to:
September 1, 2018 - All In
By far the greatest triumph in indie wrestling history, the show was a massive success both at live gate and on PPV, wildly exceeding all expectations. In its main event, Cody wins the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, the same world title his father had claimed 31 years earlier.
After this monumental night, the Elite ceded the war for control of Bullet Club to the OGs and stepped away from the group, turning their attention to the establishment of something new entirely: All Elite Wrestling. This new national promotion came into being on January 1, 2019, and at its forefront was the core group of five. As the inaugural and omnipresent face of the company, Cody’s claim to AEW gold is surely just a matter of time.

Allied with his friend, protege, and personal recruit to AEW, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, the public face of AEW prepares to challenge for the world championship of the company he helped build. He seems destined for it, it’s damn near his birthright, and yet there are whispers he’s only in position to claim it through politics.
Cody:
“Eddie Graham... Cowboy Bill Watts... The American Dream Dusty Rhodes... For the cold and sterile historians of our business, there's an air of controversy that surrounds them, it's from the simple fact that those men were also, in addition to being competitors... they were management. Not unlike myself. And for the last year I've told everybody: every podcast, every radio, every correspondent. I've shouted it off the rooftops how proud I am of AEW, how proud I am of the all-inclusive nature, of the schedule, of the pay, of the fact that we will listen. This! This is Ellis Island for a professional wrestler! This is freedom! So, when I hear the same criticism attached to my name for being management and being in a title match… I can't not hear it... And with that said, I am announcing that if I do not defeat Chris Jericho at Full Gear... I will never challenge for the AEW World championship again.”
And so Cody faced Chris Jericho at Full Gear 2019 with destiny in his grasp. There, with MJF in his corner, Cody and Jericho pushed each other to their limits. Late in the match with the challenger locked tight in the Walls of Jericho, MJF throws in the towel for Cody and costs him the match, effectively locking him out of the title picture thereafter.
MJF’s ascension begins. He wins the Dynamite Diamond Ring and begins climbing the rankings. Winning isn’t simply enough, though. If he wants everything, he needs chaos. He needs to flip the world upside down. He needs the world to believe its heroes are the villains and its villains are the heroes.

After weeks of taunting and weeks of enduring the original gauntlet of trials MJF sets in order to get a match with him, Cody gets his match with MJF… but he falls short, defeated and humiliated by the young man he brought into AEW himself.
March 5, 2020 – Cody is bitten by the original Snake
Jake Roberts emerges from the thickest of weeds and slithers down to the ring. He nearly devours Cody. He mocks him… “Hail Caesar”. He neither fears nor respects him.
“What a Snake wants, a snake takes. I’m not in AEW for the whole pie.. Just your slice”
Two weeks later the world screeches to a halt as an unknown, lethal virus spreads rapidly around the globe. For several weeks Dynamite is patchwork, assembled from whatever talent is available. A tournament for a new title belt is announced. Ahead of its opening round we get the darkest promo we’ve thus far seen from the purest babyface in the company’s short history…
April 8, 2020
Cody sits ominously at a table, in a pitch black room, and lights a cigar… just as he’d done before when laying out his machinations against Kenny Omega for control of Bullet Club.
Cody:
"Why do I wanna be TNT Champion? Wrestling is so linear you're gonna hear the same answer to that question over and over again. You'll even hear the announcers strike some of the same hyperboles as they describe the stakes. The wrestlers will give you that real wrestling school, paint by numbers interview where they say things like --- you see: ‘The boys in the back.' Or my favorite: They perpetually say their own name or the person they're wrestling against or the person who's interviewing them over and over again. Like I said, wrestling is linear. They might even do the – [Cody gestures around his waist where a belt would be worn] - that thing. You see, where you pantomime, where you indicate that you want the belt. I've done it a thousand times. We've all done it, we're all guilty. Wrestling is linear. But these are not linear times, are they? I think we'd all give our last dollar for a little bit of normalcy, a little bit of linear. It's my personal hope that we get through this just fine. We wanna live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery, right?
So why do I need to become champion? It is not the fame. It's certainly not the added money. It's not the specialized lower third that they put on the screen. It's not even my specific, unique circumstance of trying to carry a last name that is worth 58 years in gold. It's much simpler. It's because I don't wanna lose. AEW has four major pay per views: Double Or Nothing, All Out, Full Gear, Revolution and I'm 50/50 and I have felt lost and I don't ever want to lose again…The motto, the expression, what the Nightmare Family means, it's sitting at the side of my neck is when we say: DO THE WORK! It's not: Do the work and lose.
And this tournament is flush, it's rich in talent. Take Colt Cabana. Probably the second most experienced guy in the tournament. Does a better flip, flop and fly than me, Dustin and Bully combined. Ask anybody in any locker room the world over – they'll tell you they love Colt Cabana. Well frankly: I do not trust a wrestler that doesn't have any enemies.
Kip Sabian… and that hellfire fiance of his… What happens when those two cohabitate? They’re either gonna motivate themselves upwards or they're gonna drag themselves down to Complacency City, right next to ‘Jobber Avenue.
Darby… I feel like I handpicked Darby. He's clearly the fastest rising star in all of wrestling in any company, hands down. He's putting on weight by the day, he's assassin quick. But Darby is a freshman on the varsity squad. I don't think he has the mental aptitude to finish this tournament.
My oldest friend… Shawn Spears. My former tag team partner, kind of my Dick Murdoch. Could be a world champion pretty much anywhere he wanted to be. But Shawn Spears is ‘King Boo-Boo Face and he will mentally defeat himself before we ever even lock up…
Every one of those guys, they want to be TNT Champion. The difference with me: I NEED IT!
It was an outright heel promo, preceding his entry into the tournament which he ultimately won, facing Jake Roberts’ client – Lance Archer – in the finals. Cody is the conquering hero he always aspires to be, and he rattles off five straight title defenses in five weeks. Someone’s not very impressed, however.

Cody stands with Arn in the ring, congratulating himself on the recent string of victories against… let’s say, less than impressive competition.
Onto the stage charges Eddie Kingston, who’s heard enough:
"No, no, no, we're gonna get this right, we're gonna do this real quick. Cody, you talk about grinding, you talk about living this rough life, all that jazz. No one's gonna 'out-grind' you, all that stuff. My man, it's easy to say that when you grew up around used-to-be legends like Arn Anderson. Yeah, you heard me. Keep shooting murder-ones at me and I'll knock your jaw right off your face, partner. You know what I grew up around? You know what I grew up around? Alcoholics! Junkies! I GREW UP AROUND THAT... AND I HAD TO SURVIVE. I HAD TO GRIND. You couldn't last a day in my shoes, so you don't tell me nothing about grinding. You talk about the sport of pro-wrestling... that's a joke. Because every person you faced has been a child. I am a grown-ass man and I will put you in the ground and smile.
But here's the best part about this whole thing: the guy that you like to mention because you like to be best friends with the boss, Tony Khan… He paid me to show up. And now he's going to pay me to kick your ass and take that championship. Oh yeah, you wanna go? Arn, I swear on my beautiful mother's life, if you don't shut up, I'm gouging your eye out. All right? Let me speak! It's my time now. Real easy, relax, you've had yours. Tony Khan said to me, ‘‘You know what, King? If you want No DQ, man, that's fine by me.. just.. you know.. Cody has to accept.' You have to accept, cause either you're an egg-sucking dog or you're an egg-sucking bitch."
Infuriated that he would be upstaged like this, Cody accepts on the spot. He survives an incredibly violent match and continues on with his title reign.

Mr. Brodie Lee whips Cody’s ass. In just over three minutes, it’s done and his beloved championship is gone. The Exalted One and The Dark Order put a massive beatdown on Cody and he’s carried out on a stretcher… Then they continue attacking him on the stretcher.
Cody disappears for weeks.
September 23, 2020
Brodie spends over a month terrorizing anyone even remotely close to Cody, but he still doesn’t come back until after Brodie beats down Orange Cassidy in a title defense. It’s a surprise attack, which incenses The Exalted One.
Brodie:
"You gotta be kidding me! The audacity of a man, the audacity of you Cody to return like that! You have been gone for five weeks while I’ve been here doing the work, being undeniable! Oh my God, the audacity of you Cody. What kind of man sends another man to do his work? Did you see what I did to Dustin? Did you see what Anna Jay did to Brandi? What kind of man Cody, what kind of man lets his wife post Instagram thirst traps while calling me daddy? What kind of man stays away in a little bubble? A man like you, Cody. But YOU are no man! YOU are a coward!
Mr. Brodie Lee grabs a pair of dog collars and looks into the camera.
Cody, you can run on for a long time, but sooner or later Brodie Lee is gonna cut you down! And I am gonna take this dog collar, Cody, I am gonna wrap it around your neck, I am gonna wrap it around that God-forsaken tattoo! And you, Cody, will have nowhere, nowhere to run and nowhere to hide! You, Cody... You have one week to answer me: Are you a man... Or are you a coward?!"
Two weeks later, Cody reclaims his championship in the first dog collar match in AEW history. He would hold it for only a month until one of the Four Pillars pries it away from him, beginning Darby Allin’s ascension to the main event scene... And sending Cody spiraling into the Codyverse of excess and absurdity.
February 17, 2021 - “It’s a girl!”
Despite a litany of viral media and news segments addressing how excessive and even dangerous pregnancy gender reveals are… Cody and Brandi have theirs live on Dynamite, with full entrance and theme, as well as what still to this day is among the largest pyro displays in the history of AEW. It’s shockingly tone-deaf.
May 12, 2021 – The worst promo in AEW history
Just before the one year anniversary of the George Floyd murder that rattled America and stirred racial dialogue in a manner unseen for decades…
Cody addresses Anthony Ogogo and delivers an all-time terrible promo. I'm not even gonna transcribe it here, it's the most pandering cringe ever.

When AEW returns to touring, all the cheering and adulation Cody was accustomed to at AEW's beginning is gone. His goodwill has completely evaporated. They’re tired of his phony, self-fellating act and want something different.

Still nursing a vicious eye injury incurred at the hands of Kevin Owens on WWE programming the previous October, Malakai Black posts on Instagram a video of him in a mental institution where he's been locked up for 5 years, coincidentally the same length of time he was in his old company... He viciously attacks and kills the doctors and staff.
Walking out, he says "The Devil made me do it."

The rumor comes from established Rockstar leaker Tez2, who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently targeting a release in holiday 2024 “which has been pushed back multiple times.” Tez2 adds the game may be pushed back again, into to 2025.
Furthermore, Tez2 claims Rockstar is considering breaking up the game’s content into post-launch DLC, to ensure the game can meet a release date. If GTA 6 launches in 2024, it will be a whopping 11 years since the last release in the franchise.
This wouldn’t be an unprecedented move from Rockstar, considering the approach the studio has taken with GTA Online, incrementally releasing massive updates and new story content. Notably, however, GTA 5 didn’t feature any additional story content, just updates to the Online portion of the game.
GTA Online GTA Online has managed to stay relevant for a decade with consistent updates, and it makes sense Rockstar would pivot to that same approach to single-player content.ROCKSTAR Taking this approach would let Rockstar more easily hit whatever internal timeline is established for GTA 6, and provide a road map of content to make post-launch more appealing to players. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this kind of rumor has been brought up by Tez2, as last August the leaker reported GTA 6 would “expand over time,” adding on new cities after launch.
The easiest approach would be to create content that ties into both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of GTA 6, and creating new cities in-game could do just that. New locations could be fully playable in the online portion, while also adding on hand-crafted stories and missions. This would allow Rockstar to continue the overwhelming success of GTA Online, while story content could help attract new players or those that might not care to engage with multiplayer.
This tactic of splitting up elements of the game as DLC is something Nintendo has been using for years, to great success. Mario Strikers: Battle League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Nintendo Switch Sports, have all seen scheduled add-ons for new content, even years after their initial release. At this point, it’s not clear how much of a live-service element there will be for GTA 6, but this Nintendo-like approach would allow Rockstar to retain players who are primarily interested in single-player experiences.
GTA 5 Although GTA 5 never received single-player DLC, Rockstar’s director of design said in a 2017 interview the studio would “love to do more single-player add-ons for games in the future.”ROCKSTAR Nintendo stands apart from other developers, though, in that typically these updates are free or bundled with a Switch Online subscription. It’s a smart move, as games like Mario Strikers, which would typically have a very short shelf life, suddenly provide players with more of a reason to stick with it for the long haul. It also allows Nintendo to continue to sell its older, first-party titles with minimal discounts.
There’s no video game property in existence bigger than Grand Theft Auto, and a report in 2020 estimated GTA Online made a staggering $600 million in 2019. Even in 2023, it continues to hold an enviable place in the sales charts month after month. The popularity of GTA Online has only continued to increase over the years, and that mainstream success is exactly what’s poised to make GTA 6 such a massive success.
Breaking up content into DLC lets Rockstar bring GTA 6 back into the conversation every six months, year, or whatever release timeline suits the studio and the community best. Seeing a big GTA 6 update in a State of Play or other presentation will likely bring thousands of players flocking back to the game, and considering GTA 5 and GTA Online are still alive and kicking a decade later, it’s easy to say Rockstar is hoping for lightning to strike twice with GTA 6.

2023.03.30 17:34 weasel7711 Headache Updating Packages - OrangePi 800 - Manjaro 22.07

TL;DR:
What is the proper order of steps to take to update packages and install new packages without bricking the system or essential services such as NetworkManager upon reboot on an OrangePi 800 with Manjaro 22.07?
The long story:
I'm not a complete newbie to Linux or SBCs but I am a novice. I've had a really frustrating time getting the OrangePi 800 set up with Manjaro with up to date packages, even installing new packages (LibreOffice). I recall having similar issues when I played around with Ubuntu about 15 years ago. If anyone could tell me the proper order of steps or things to avoid that would be greatly appreciated.
Here's what I've done so far:
When I got the Pi I followed Orange Pi's steps to burn Orange Pi OS Droid onto an SD card and flash it to the EMMC. That went fine but I decided that for my purposes this OS wasn't what I wanted. So I followed their steps to reset the EMMC ("Methods of writing images on OPI800.pdf") to prepare for their Manjaro image.
I downloaded the latest Manjaro image from their website on the Pi 800 downloads page. At the time of download it was version 22.07. I flashed this onto the SD card using the Win32DiskImager that I got from their downloads page, according to their OPI800 guide.
Booting up to Manjaro from the SD card went fine, I set up a separate administrator profile and set a different root password. Then I finalized by flashing the setup to the EMMC per the OPI800 guide.
So far, so good. I could reboot, log into different profiles, WiFi was working fine. Everything seemed stable.
Here's where the problems started:
When I tried to install the package suite for LibreOffice from the Pamac GUI I saw a few error messages regarding the database
unable to lock database Failed to synchronize databases
After some google searches I ran pamac update --force-refresh. That seemed to fix that error so I tried again. Then I saw a ton of 404 errors in the log, and the mirrors were hosted in France, I'm in the US. More google searching and I ran the pacman command to update the mirrors: sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack. It refreshed the mirror list. I tried again and at this point it seemed like it was working fine. It requested a reboot and I obliged. But when it rebooted, nothing, just a black screen. I left it for an hour or so and came back, nothing changed. Power cycled again, still no change. So went through the entire setup process again from the SD card and flashing the EMMC.
Now that I could boot again I had to re-run the pamac update and pacman mirrors commands. I had read that you shouldn't only update certain packages so I ran a full update of all packages (without installing LibreOffice). 490-ish packages around 700mb. Download went quick but the install took hours (overnight). It seemed like the system rebooted itself after it finished. I logged in and now the NetworkManager was not working so I couldn't connect to the internet. I checked the system logs with journalctl grep NetworkManager and saw error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.3. Most of the google results I found required starting from scratch. At this point I'm not sure what to do. I don't think I'm doing anything out of the ordinary here, so what am I missing in my process?

2023.03.30 17:18 ThrowRA_appleorangx Boyfriend of 6 years broke up with me because I “don’t get him”.

He is 28M and I'm 25 F. We were together for six years. I always felt like there were issues from the beginning we tried to work through them. In 2019, he broke up with me due to my jealousy issues, which was understandable at the time because I wasn’t quite mature back then. When we got back together in 2020, he said that he missed the relationship and really wanted to work things out for the better. I believed him of course, and took him back. Everything was great. I felt like this time around we were going to be stronger than ever.
Fast forward to Christmas 2022, he revealed to me that the relationship was stagnant. Although he had worked on all the previous flaws in the relationship, there was one itch he couldn't scratch. He said I was not "intellectually stimulating" enough for him. By that I mean, he felt like I couldn't understand his worldviews or things that really interested him. He enjoys the outdoors and travelling, reading, podcasts and gaming etc. I was willing to try these things, but I have my own hobbies too (I’m an artist). I told him I could try to understand his interests more, but because I'm my own person, I should be allowed to have my own interests too.
I tried my hand at cooking and hated it. I tried playing a story-based game and I have to admit it was pretty fun but he got upset when I couldn’t finish the entire game. I tried hiking but when I sat down for a break, he would get annoyed and ask me why I had given up so easily. I have to admit, there were times where he would show me cooking videos, songs and podcasts that interested him. And I may have responded with “oh that’s cool!”. But other times we’ll be singing along to karaoke or battling each other in multiplayer games. So it’s not like we didn’t have anything in common or that I didn’t care about what interests him. It’s also worth noting that I never pressured him to participate in my hobbies. He did try painting one time and I asked if he would do it again, but he said “that’s enough for me”. I respected that of course.
After all that, I noticed he started to look elsewhere for that engagement and made every excuse not to talk to or see me. Eventually, in he gave me an ultimatum and said, "I need you to be more engaging and more invested in my interests otherwise I'm going to leave". So I did, I tried to show more interest in everything that interested him, I tried to ask more questions, bring up interesting topics to talk about, and book holidays, and getaways to expand our horizons. I felt pressured to enjoy all the things that interested him, but then I began to neglect the person I really was.
Then he became fixated on how I looked. He said that I had let myself go, and I didn't try to impress him anymore. He asked me why I couldn't put on anything nice. It’s not that I looked homeless or refused to brush my teeth or anything. I still cared about hygiene. I just wanted to wear whatever I want without being judged. I thought we were comfortable in this relationship and I didn't feel the need to dress up all the time except for special occasions. We went to a local Mexican restaurant and he told me he was really upset when I rocked up in a t-shirt and jeans. I asked him why is that a big deal. He said “you don't stop impressing the other person just because you are comfortable”. Meanwhile, his hair was a mess and he wasn’t really wearing anything different to what I was wearing.
Then he had issues with where I was at in life. He's graduated from university and is working for a pretty well-known company, earning a very good salary. Meanwhile, I'm still in college trying to get my degree. He felt as though he was progressing and I wasn't. He gave me another ultimatum and said “I need you put on some nice clothes, is that so hard?” And “stop talking about your assignments, I don’t want to hear it anymore”.
Then in February 2023, he couldn't take it anymore and broke up with me. The main reason was there are other people that just "get him" and I don't. He said after all these years, he feels I don't know him at all. I feel like I do know him, or at least I wanted to get to know him, but whenever I would ask or pry, he would get annoyed with me. He'd say things like "you just don't get it" or "never mind". It's not that I didn't care about his interests, I just felt pressured all the time.
I called him three days ago because I felt like I needed to know how it all came to this. He said that he started feeling off in May 2022 and told me how he was feeling on Christmas day because it seemed like an appropriate amount of time for him to think. He said he is firm on his decision and wont be turning back. Finally, he said that there are women out there who understand him and he doesn't have to explain himself. So he is going to pursue them.
I'm someone who is empathic and takes pride in wanting to know more about people. So I don’t feel like I ever restricted him from his hobbies or ever refused to participate. So the break-up made me question what on earth was he going on about? Did I miss something? Am I totally blind?
I have never encountered anyone with this kind of behaviour before. I don’t even recognise him anymore and I’m having trouble understanding his beliefs and worldview. Is there really something wrong with me or was there anything I could've done? Or does this seem like something to do with him? Any advice would be appreciated.

This is a continuation of my previous post located here: 90 Days and $5000 as a Home and Office Cleaner - Part 1, and please understand, I'm no writer, my post will probably never be as organized as some of the other beautiful ones I see posted here.
My wife and I decided to start a business 167 days ago. Our total sales from this venture are at $15,000.00*(rounded) Here is our journey so far.
 
Some quick stats
 
General Statement
So we are in it now, we feel a great deal more comfortable with the company and a hell of a lot more worried now but things are good. You're probably wondering why is he saying he is worried. Well, I’ll tell you, Taxes. Taxes absolutely must be considered very early on in this venture, even if your “plan” is to avoid paying taxes. We however lucky we are, had a bit of foresight and within a few weeks of starting the company, started making plans to make sure all of our tax responsibilities were covered by setting some money aside…… then around 100 days later (sadly I know) put those bigger plans into motion and hired a CPA.
I’ll keep this brief and move on to another topic in just a minute. Hire a CPA, and heed his/her advice. Make the business legal, and when taxes roll around, file as an S-Corp.
 
What is working for us?
Alright, so what's changed in the past 70 days? Lots, but at the same time, not so much.
 
A Better Website
We finally upgraded to www.PageSmack.com - my web traffic has DRAMATICALLY increased and I think my website looks beautiful, no complaints here, the price is extremely fair and the service works wonderfully.
 
Advertisement Creation
We still use www.Edit.org, although now I have a paid subscription to it, I create my ad’s here.
 
Google comes in handy
We are still using my google spreadsheets for metric tracking, jobs, revenue, taxes, etc…..It’s probably overkill but I enjoy digging through the data.
I’ve also used google suite to build out some flyers/printables/task lists for my wife when she goes out on a job.
 
Some company shirts
We have a few company-branded T-shirts now, a few revisions worth of business cards, and a few sets of supplies.
 
We are landing contracts!
Things have been going pretty well, We now officially have 2 landed contracts accounting for roughly $1500 of our monthly revenue across 5-6 jobs a month. We are negotiating a 3rd contract for an additional $1500 per month. Around 8-10 monthly recurring cleanings with homeowners, and we have been fired by 2 clients, both were past recurring cleanings, I will elaborate a little more later on.
 
Continued improvement The frenzied ‘hunger’ i spoke of in part 1 is a little less now but I believe this is due to some success. We no longer have to work as hard to keep the calendar full and it's great. But with that said, I do notice a drop in bookings when I decide to slack up a bit on my advertising.

As always I am very open to private discussions about my company and even phone calls. But please understand I am very new to owning a business, and this is our first ever attempt at anything like this….things just seem to be working out for us. We are working VERY hard to keep things moving in the right direction, I'm spending a lot of my free time trying to grow this business, mornings, evenings, and in between. I’m leaning on all of the resources I have access to, Family, Friends, ChatGPT, a CPA, and anyone with advice.
I’m also very interested in speaking with people much more experienced than me. I know we have a long way to go, and a lot of changes will need to be made in order to maintain a good legal and tax-paying standing, Unfortunately, funds are required, and my knowledge is lacking in some of these areas. My goal is to be completely on the up and up by the end of the year or when taxes are due.
I'll be attempting to clean this up after i post.

But yes! Hello it's my first time on reddit! A little-lot about me:
  1. I first used reddit as of posting this about 2-ish weeks ago but I've shadowed Reddit for much longer. I never wanted to make an account due to shyness, confusing rules, and the dreaded censorship that seems to plague every platform. (Plz don't ban me reddit, I beg.) However due to my introvertedness taking over more and more, now seemed like a good a time as any!
  2. Yep! The name comes from a Nickelodeon cartoon, and if I have to explain from: ¹ how dare you. ² we can't be friends!
  3. I browsed over hundreds of subreddits, always thinking if I ever did join - where would I start? I had ideas of where, but not-so-much when...And given said strict rules, I always thought I had a knit and knack for sentence structure, spelling and grammar as I've been complimented on my penmanship and organization skills...yet, reddit I'm sure will truly test me on that. I've been out of an English class for many, many years now. So forgive me in advance I'll try my best!
  4. Speaking of many, many years - I'm not so young and not so old either! It's a mystery. And as per reddit guidelines to not share sensitive information - I suppose I will keep it that way. You'll just have to think of me as an enigmatic mr. magoo-like shape; formless in the hands of it's users, but an organized cut figure in staunch of his allies. Think of Inspector gadget except more mysterious. (And who trips on his own shoelaces.) So...basically Timmy's dad!
  5. I'm a gamer, hobbiest writer and photographer, and a perspective teacher (in my former years) and I plan on adding a bit of each into their respective subreddit categories in some form of time. I write amateur poetry from time to time, stemming from natural & creative to erotic prose gasp! and when I feel like it - short stories. I tend to also gravitate towards shapeable wordless songs and giving them my own spin (like ost's), as well as coming up with songs lyrics of my own. I went to a magnet school in my younger years for all of the above forms of writing as well as screenwriting and playwriting. All of this is fun to me and that's the extent of it. Nothing more. If you stumble upon any of my former pieces searching for an answer as to why I wrote some of the things I said, or why I said them...it comes down to just whatever floats into my peripheral vision in that given moment; sometimes it's music that inspires me, and othertimes it's just what needs to be said. And hey, sometimes I'm blindsided by my blindspots. And other, other, some times I stop using the word "time" so often! Grrr!
  6. As for games, I'm a replayer of not-so-old games that are not so timeless, but not-so new anymore eiGarrett! This is mainly due to financial tightness and that older games charm I can't forget. Games such as:

I've found games sometimes help shape and induce flow-like states to help us ease into transitions of moment-to-moment actions defining our playable characters, some. Or in other cases, defining ourselves most when we need to caught between a rock and a hard place...like in a gunfight...(I'm looking you Apex Legends, Uncharted, and Destiny.) But yes, in those instances - I've found that what help shape me along with some of the game's life-lessons taught to our characters, did indeed help shape me into the person I am today. (Inb4 someone says I identify as Harumo-chan the master of hoe-jitsu), lol no I'm saying the best parts about our characters can help shape us sometimes without us even knowing it. (But Harumo-chan did help shape me Timmy, why can't you see that?) More power to you then. The best parts for some and the worser parts for others i suppose. :P
6½. What i mean to the last point is, part of my strength I've found is from when I draw strength from other strong characters I've seen and what they've been through; (or put you through and thus you're going through the sh*t-show together.) Characters that have really inspired me are probably namely Sora, Riku & Roxas from Kingdom Hearts, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Sonic, and Yusei from Yugioh 5d's. I know, very adult of me right? Mm, I am interested however where others draw their strength from? Which form of medium do they choose, why did they choose it and who do they draw strength from if not in a show or game?
I could talk about why I choose these individual characters but I believe that's best suited for another thread/post. P.s. as for tv shows though? A huge inspiration i draw from is Rick, from the walking dead. I don't watch many new shows anymore. (As for why that is, maybe that's also best suited for another post.)

There are others, and I've seen all series of Yugioh and DragonBall alike, but these in particular stood out to me. For DragonBall Super mostly due to the absolute insanity the tournament of power was and that last fight. I've seen other animes or stopped, started and stopped again as I couldn't get invested into them. That's why Golden Time really took me by surprise. Same with Yugioh 5d's and S1 of Sword Art Online. I am interested to see what other subreddits with differing views on what sorts of animes other people prefer or recommend I watch.
Same with games, music or movies.
To wrap up,

Okay, so the space bacon has increased. I think Mom is trying to cheer me up. I mean, it's not not working. I won't say no to delicious, delicious space bacon. What I want is some goddamn whiskey. Fuck's sake, these blue bois get fucking drunk of of tea like a bunch of fucking Teatopians or Britbongers.
Or some chocolate.
I wish I knew more about chemistry, the only fucking reason I even know there's caffeine in the tea is because I recognized its effect on me. If knew how to draw the molecules of hooch, maybe I could help my family figure this shit out.
Pretty sure the lack of xenos coco beans leaves me SOL on the chocolate front.

In other news, the hands and Lucy are moving ahead with me merch. Is a five percent cut fair? I mean, it's my likeness and shit, but it's not like I'm doing any work. Then again, it would be funny if they caught on, so I'll definitely help promote that shit.
As Master at Arms, the state of the armory is my responsibility, and I have to say, it's pretty pathetic. These plasma casters wouldn't penetrate a standard boarding power armor's battle screens, let alone dent its heat dispersal systems. Speaking of armor, we have fuck all. The vac suits are even fucking soft sided. Leaving alone the fact that you want to tank your atmo during a fight to avoid the possibility of explosive venting, so fighting in vac suits is fucking standard, what if you have to go a spacewalkin' to repair something and get hit by debris? You're fucked in this soft sided shit.
Automatic naval shotguns aren't really an option, and there isn't really anything available that I would call equivalent. I can get some magac factettes to add a little kinetic to our arsenal, but they're semiauto and vulnerable to EMP strikes. Finding anything that's chemical propellant at all is proving to be extremely frustrating. I really don't like having that gaping hole in our defenses.
Speaking of holes, the armor. I brought it up with Pops, and he admitted that he's always ignored armor because he's always been uninterested in sailing anywhere remotely dangerous. Well the wide sea is all about you, you can fence yourself in, but you cannot fence it out. I felt kinda bad for being critical of his armory, but my job is to make sure the We Sing can defend herself, and now we're planning on going to space Tortuga.
We're going over to that Justiciar to request some combat vac armor. I want the bridge crew and a shipboard response team capable of acting even in the event of losing atmo.
Time to start drilling the kiddos for lockdowns. Maybe I can disguise it as a game. Speaking of the kiddos, I had a decent chat with Sarge. He gets why I was so harsh with him, and apologized for not thinking more clearly. Kid has a good heart, and will be a good leader one day. One day, but not today Sarge. Enjoy being a teenager for now, and don't worry about growing up just yet.
Then, I told the crew how I wound up in that animal shelter. Not a pleasant story to tell, but not so harrowing as the grubs.

Dear Diary,

We're getting ready to set sail.
Which is a bit more complicated since all twelve of the stops we plan on making are completely different markets than Mom's used to. She's been sinking her teeth into the social medias of the destinations though, and is slowly filling our hold with the few local products that will be in demand there.
Well, I have a product that's going to be in demand everywhere.
I will soon anyway, and Daddy said that we could use one of the cargo bays for our manufacturing base, and we still had enough money in our pool to get some textiles and stuffing material. I hope we don't waste too much of it getting the settings right.
I think that Greg is actually pleased with the idea of a cuddly toy of himself. He's got a soft spot for making kids happy, after all.
He told us the "last important part" about his past. I guess that means that he has lots of little stories he could tell, but this was the answer to the questions we've politely held back from asking since he showed that he's a person. Such as how he wound up in that kennel, and what happened to him in the fighting pit. I mean, we had the police reports, but that's just what some cops thought about what they saw and some recordings of the fights taken from the poachers' databanks.
But how he tells it...
Well we have twenty days. There are some things I want to talk about with him, if he doesn't mind.

Gregory had some criticisms of the armory. I knew he would, but it is still discordant to listen to him talk about combat effectiveness of various weapons. It's the dissonance between how lethal and how cute he is.
Apparently, his people believe in redundancies in weapons systems, such that they still use chemical propellant weapons. This means they either have electromagnetic pulse weapons, or are extraordinarily paranoid.
In any case, he's spent most of the day putting together a requisition for some more weapons, and wants to see about getting some armor from the Justiciar. Well, that might be an interesting encounter to watch, so I've reached out to her to see if anybody is willing to meet us over the issue. The Lord Justiciar himself wants to have tea. Oh, this is going to be funny.
He said that he owed us some more answers, and asked Trevdi to gather who she thinks can hear the story, and settled into a chair to tell the story.
"Well, this bit is... it is what it is. You've heard me mention Sanctuary before, and all of you have very politely avoided questioning me over it. But I'll explain anyway. Sanctuary is one of two rest and recreation planets, the Army one is called Respite. Anyway, Sanctuary is set aside, it has a low tech level, very little dangerous fauna, a nice, temperate to tropical climate, and low population. Importantly, it has no spaceport, or station, and the only way onto the planet is supposed to be to ride a shuttle down from a Navy ship. This is to keep the planet low-stress but activity dense to help us relax and recharge for redeployment. In my case, I was ordered there for mental health treatment.
"I uh... I did not take the break up of the Lost Boys very well, as I've said before. There were good people in the Navy who wanted to help me do what I wanted though. Like Doctor Johan. Even still, I was not very good at relaxing, so I got ordered back to Sanctuary after a few missions to work on that.
"It wasn't great that I'd get stuck on a planet for weeks at a time. Stuck on a planet, and not even working, but I didn't want to accept a medical discharge. That's when they declare you medically unfit for duty.
"Anyway, one of the things that I was working on was incorporating my skills into peaceful activities. So, recreational survival skills. Kind of full circle on that one, but I always liked going into wilderness, exploring, seeing beauty. So in order to help me get out of "work mode" and into a more... I don't know, "normal mode," was to just go on hikes. To just go camping. The trick was to not be, well, sneaky about it. I'll never not move quietly, but I did finally start camping in nice, open areas without carefully concealing my presence and equipment if I had any.
"It was a beautiful night, warm. Clear. No sign of bad weather. I'd decided to forgo the tent. Oh, that's a portable shelter. I'd just spread out my bedroll and was gazing at the stars, thinking about whether I'd be sent to protect some brothers soon.
"I woke up in a pit. It was big enough for me stride twice along each wall, and the rim was out of my reach. I could sort of try to shimmy up a corner, except for the shock collar. That scorching shock collar.
"It shocked me if I was too fast, if I was too slow, if I made an noise, if I refused to eat, if the googly eyed void sucker felt like I needed a shock.
"When it was time for me to beat some poor creature to death, they'd just turn it on full blast until I was convulsing on the floor, shove me in a cage and then came the needle. I don't know what they injected me with, but whatever it was, it wiped all thought from my mind, and made it feel like there was fire under my skin.
"I was completely out of control. I think that it must be how a grub victim feels. I was screaming. Screaming.
"Once I beat some innocent animal to death, then it was a tranquillizer. Then they strapped me to a machine, I don't know the word, but I think it was a blood filter. Whatever it was it hurt.
"My memory is a bit spotty, but eventually it was the... the people who go clickety-clack. Then, you brought me home.
"So that's how I got here. Thanks for taking me in."

Dear Gemini Earn Investor,
As you can imagine, it has been an eventful couple of months at K&S. I know I personally owe several of you phone calls and emails, and I wanted to apologize to those of you I have not been able to respond to yet. As our proposed class action against Gemini and the Winklevoss twins moves through the legal process, Earn investors have continued to reach out to us with questions about new developments and their implications for individual investors. We wanted to provide you all with an update about where things stand, and what the next steps in our pursuit of recovery for Earn investors might look like.
Class Action Updates & Deadlines As many of you are aware, the deadline to file motions for lead plaintiff was on February 27. We filed our motion with the court and, as expected, a handful of other law firms filed competing motions, but we feel confident that our lead plaintiff group and K&S are best suited and will be able to move forward and continue what we started when we filed the lawsuit. Indeed, one of these firms has already filed a letter stating that they do not oppose our motion for lead plaintiff and lead counsel.
After we filed our lead plaintiff motion, Judge Buchwald gave us the opportunity to amend our original complaint to address the issues that Gemini’s counsel raised when they answered our complaint regarding arbitration (Gemini asserted that our lawsuit should be brought in arbitration and not in court and we opposed that assertion at the time). We anticipate that Gemini will now proceed with filing a motion to compel arbitration, which we will oppose.
We believe the reasons for keeping this action in court as opposed to arbitration are sound. That said, we are prepared to proceed with arbitration in the event Judge Buchwald does decide that arbitration is the appropriate venue for our lawsuit, and we will reach out to each of you if that happens.
If you would like to see the amended complaint, we have put it up on the Gemini Class Action’s filing section on our website along with a redline against the original complaint so you can more easily see what we added. You can also dive deeper into some of our arguments against the defendants’ efforts to compel arbitration in our letter to the Judge and exhibits filed January 13 (also on that page).
Taxes We can imagine the frustration of receiving a 1099 from Gemini for funds you did not receive and could not access. This may be especially damaging to those who kept funds that they were specifically saving for 2022 tax payments on the Earn platform. I am sorry that we cannot offer financial or tax advice or otherwise be more helpful in this arena. I realize you may have all already heard this, but we strongly encourage any Earn investors with questions to speak to a tax professional as soon as possible. Gemini requested a 30-day extension from the IRS, giving it extra time to provide Forms 1099-MISC to Gemini Exchange account holders for the tax year 2022, but we do not recommend assuming that the extension applies to individual investors as well.
Genesis Chapter 11 Updates We continue to closely follow the Genesis bankruptcy as it develops. Filings in the bankruptcy case have given us some insight into the financial conditions at Genesis, but things remain murky as to the current state of negotiations between Genesis and Gemini, as well as Genesis’s creditors. As many of you know, Genesis filed a term sheet on February 10. However, Genesis has yet to file a proposed plan seeking court approval, and without that, we cannot rely on the information that has been released. As we continue to field emails and calls from Earn investors, we have been so grateful for your patience, input, involvement, and generosity in sharing your stories; those of you who have reached out directly have been truly helpful to us in building this case. THE STORY SO FAR
“Welcome to Munson Manor. May I take your coat?”
Nodding, you remove your windbreaker. As you pass it to the butler, you can't help but feel underdressed in your jeans and sweater. The man before you is wearing a three-piece black suit with a matching tie. Unlike you, he looks like he stepped out of the 1940s.
The butler drapes your jacket over his arm and gestures you inside. “Please come in. What is your name?”
Out of habit, you almost respond with your real name. But just in time, you remember the information packet you received when you registered for this weekend. “Dr. Poole.”
The butler nods. “Welcome, Doctor. My name is Charles. If you have any issues this weekend, do not hesitate to let me know. If you please, allow me to show you to your room.”
But Charles isn’t really looking for your permission. He grabs your suitcase, extending the telescopic handle and dragging it into the hall.
As you follow, you can’t help but admire your new surroundings. Late afternoon light shines through the stained glass windows on either side of the main entrance. The wooden floors are in a diagonal parquet style you only recognize because you saw it mentioned on a television show once. To your right is a heavy bench made of a dark wood. The back contains an intricate carving, but in your rush to keep up with the butler, you do not have time to discern the pattern.
Paintings hang on burgundy walls with ornate walnut wainscotting. They look to be oil paintings, but you are no art connoisseur. All you know is that they are a mixture of landscapes and portraits.
Doorways lead to several rooms, but the butler gives you no time to explore. You have just enough time to notice a grandfather clock on each side of the room before realizing the butler is already halfway up the stairs with velvet carpet the color of a fine merlot.
You hurry to catch up, passing another grandfather clock on the landing. How many clocks does one mansion need?
At the top of the stairs, the butler turns right into a hallway with white marble floors and three white doors. The one on your right is ajar. The butler pushes it open and gestures inside.
“Your room, Dr. Poole.”
Compared to the rest of the house, the room is small. A four-poster bed sits to the right and an oversized armchair to the left. Between them is a white door with frosted glass. Black and white photographs—again, a mixture of landscapes and portraits—cover the white walls.
The wall to your right, facing the bed, contains a fireplace so small, you hardly noticed it. The wooden mantle and sides are painted the exact shade of the wall and the heart is so small, you wonder whether you will even be able to have a fire. Since there is no nearby woodpile, you assume not.
On your left is a small wooden desk. The seat of the matching chair is a white fabric with a forest scene embroidered in red thread. The desk is bare except for a blue folder.
The butler wheels your suitcase in front of an armoire behind you in the opposite corner of the room, gesturing to the closed doors. “You best get dressed. Dinner will be served at seven.”
With a nod, he leaves, closing the door behind him. But you’re not ready to get dressed. You want to examine that folder on the desk. This is not a period piece. This folder is very modern. You use them all the time at work.
The label on the front reads Dr. Poole. Curious, you take it to the bed. Inside are two pockets, but the sheet between them is loose. You read that first, but quickly realize it is the same letter you received in your registration email. A summary of the weekend and a reminder to remain in character at all times.
The rest of the pages, you quickly realize, are more information about your character. You quickly learn that Dr. Poole is a physicist researching uses for x-rays beyond medical imaging. You work at a nearby university, but you have reached a stumbling block in your research. A weekend at the manor sounded like the perfect change of scene to clear your head.
Now that you fully understand your character, it is time to get dressed. Moving aside your suitcase, you open the armoire to find several outfits. According to what you have just read, tonight’s supper is a formal affair, so you need to pick one of the fancy outfits.
Which should you put on?
  • The floor-length gown
  • The double-breasted suit
The taffeta gown is a gorgeous light blue with puffy short sleeves. The flattering brocade neckline is adorned with small flowers in the center. As you remove the dress from the closet, you are surprised at how lightweight it feels. And, you quickly realize, it fits you perfectly. At least now you understand why the registration had asked for all your measurements.
The silver dress shoes have a small heel, just within your comfort level. Frowning, you examine yourself in the mirror on the inside of the armoire door. Not bad. You definitely look like you belong in the 1940s.
Time to see what your host has in store for you this weekend.
You have no problem finding your way to the main hall, where the butler is standing idly. What was his name again?
He bobs his head—somewhere between a nod and a bow—when he sees you. “Dr. Poole. You are all settled in?”
“Yes. Thank you.”
“Excellent. The others are in their rooms. Would you like to wait in the parlor?” He gestures to a room on your left.
With a shrug, you turn into the room. Gold-framed portraits adorned rose walls with dark-red flowers adorning them. You aren’t positive, but it looks as if the walls may be covered in fabric instead of paper. Either way, they nearly match the drapes, all of which are open. White sheers filter in the last vestiges of daylight, adding to the light from the sconces on every wall and the glowing fireplace to your right.
On the far wall a cherry wood table sits between two windows. Upon it rests an assortment of glass bottles in various shapes and sizes, each filled with a different color liquid. To your right, nestled between two more windows is a hutch of the same wood. A matching chair sits beside it, its embroidered seat containing the same pattern as the walls and drapes. To your left is a large wooden panel you assume is some type of sliding pocket door. On your right, two overstuffed powder-blue couches sit on an ornate Persian rug with two matching armchairs, all facing the fire.
Without realizing it, you find yourself drifting into the room, drawn to the warmth of the fire. Unlike home, there are no electronics. No computer. No television. Not even a phone. Combined with your outfit, you truly feel as if you have stepped back in time.
Hearing voices, you turn to the doorway. You cannot see anyone, but you can definitely hear two men talking. And one of them just uttered your name. Curious, you inch closer to the door, standing against the wall so no one will see you.
“Yes, sir.” You recognize that voice. Isn’t that the butler whose name you keep forgetting? “Dr. Poole has arrived, changed, and is waiting in the parlor. Miss Lewis has yet to arrive. Everyone else is in their rooms.”
“Very well. Let’s—”
A buzzing sound interrupts the second man. Wordlessly, footsteps retreat—one set running, the other walking calmly. A moment later, you hear the front door open and a new exchange, this time between the butler and a woman. You hear him giving her much the same speech you received as he leads her up the stairs.
As you return to the fireplace, you wonder who that second man in the hall was. If he was another guest, shouldn’t he have joined you in the parlor? And how did he know everyone’s name?
Loud voices break your concentration. Two new voices, a man and a woman. You cannot hear the words. Are they arguing or just speaking in raised tones?
The butler’s voice interrupts them. “Mr. Rollins. Professor Mills. Dinner will be served shortly. If you would be so kind, the rest of the guests are gathering in the parlor.”
The man grunts something unintelligible, but the woman speaks. “Thank you, Charles.”
A moment later, the pair enter the room. The middle-aged man is tall, but seems to be having trouble fitting into his gray tweed blazer and green herringbone trousers. His maroon tie has a navy zigzag running from his neck to where it disappears behind his jacket buttons. His scuffed shoes are the same dull brown as his unkempt hair.
The slender woman behind him looks about the same age as the man. Her floor-length rose gown has a gathered bodice with thin shoulder straps and pleats beneath her waistline. Her short black hair curls tightly against her scowling face.
Neither seem to notice you. The woman huffs to the nearest armchair, sitting with her arms and legs crossed and glaring at the floor.
The man, meanwhile, goes straight to the table and examines the liquids. He lifts one, removes the top, and sniffs. With a shrug, he reaches for a rounded drinking glasses and pours three fingers of the amber liquid. After returning the bottle to the table, he steps to the nearby window.
Obviously neither of these guests wish to speak with each other. Maybe you should break the uncomfortable silence. But to whom should you talk first?

Most of my players are DMs, so if you play a game with Coffee and Task Paralysis... stop reading. Shhh.

Anywho!
One of my player's backstory is that he came from a line of royals and his entire family was ... murdered so the new faction could take over the kingdom. I think I'm gonna go with a warring families kind of thing, maybe it's a smaller subsection of the royal family who was then outcast, but feels like they deserve the kingdom more than the current section of the family. The race is Dragonborn, as I feel like that would matter. Maybe all descendent from different powerful dragons and... anyway, rambling. I digress.
My question is, what would be a list of steps or chain of events to essentially take back that kingdom? Other than the obvious, storm the castle and murder the usurpers? I want to hint that maybe all is not what it seems and that there could be blurred lines. Like maybe the subsection of the royal family actually happened to be the ones in charge long ago, but given the live span of dragonborn, after a few generations no one knew anymore as anyone who spoke out was "convinced" not to talk. And maybe the only peoples who can tell the real story are elves, but they don't want to be involved in the messy affairs of those who only live 80 years.
My problem is, I have ideas, but putting them into something vaguely linear that I can guide my players along as they adventure up the country to take back this kingdom... well, that's not my strong suit. Any help would be much appreciated, as all the people I would bounce ideas off of... are seated at my table.

Let me preempt this second post on Soviet serial killer Andrei Chikatilo by apologising for a lengthy gap between the previous part and this one. My future write-ups will probably only comprise a single part, but I'm still hoping to post them more regularly. Frankly I've been a little reluctant to cover this case since it's already well-known outside of Russia and there's plenty of information I've had to compile. I originally wanted to limit this story to two parts, but I’ve now decided to split it into three parts instead. The first one was about the investigation into the serial murders occurring in the Rostov region of Russia. This one is about Chikatilo’s early life and the development of his proclivities, as well as his second arrest. The last part will be about his interrogation, trial, and final years. I would recommend checking out the first part to get a better understanding of who exactly we are talking about today.
Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo was born on 16 October 1936 in a small village in the Sumy Oblast of Ukraine. When he was just four years old, the Soviet Union's so-called Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany broke out and Chikatilo's father left to fight in it, leaving his mother to watch over both Andrei and his older brother Stepan. In late 1942 Chikatilo's village was taken over by the Germans who started carrying out public executions. Chikatilo almost became a victim of one such execution, though luckily he hit his head on a rock in the commotion and lost consciousness, while the Nazis left him among the bodies, believing him dead. That episode might have given Chikatilo brain damage in addition to diagnosed hydrocephalus, bedwetting, and myopia.
In 1943, Chikatilo's mother gave birth to a girl whom she named Tatiana. Considering her husband had left the village over two years prior, the identity of the father was unknown, though she had possibly been raped by a German soldier. The Chikatilo family was starving to such a point that Andrei had to subsist on grass and roots just to stay alive. Around the same time his brother Stepan disappeared and his fate, like the identity of his sister's father, is a mystery. Andrei's mother would tell him that Stepan was kidnapped by starving neighbours and cannibalised. Things went bad for Chikatilo's father as well - after being captured by Germans and sent to a concentration camp, where he developed tuberculosis, he was eventually freed by the Allies... only to be sentenced to a labour camp back at home as a suspected Nazi collaborator. Like many fellow soldiers, he managed to survive German camps but died in the Gulag.
In 1944, Andrei went to school, where he proved himself a poor pupil due to both his incredible shyness and short-sightedness. He was also mercilessly bullied by his classmates, both verbally and physically, but he was too timid to fight back. Years later, he would complain that all his life he had been "treated like a doormat." At the same time, Chikatilo developed an interest in politics and quickly became a veritable expert on Marxism-Leninism.
After graduating from school, he initially wanted to become a lawyer and applied to the Moscow State University but couldn't secure the position due to the highly competitive nature of the entrance exams. He pivoted to engineering but joined the military before finishing his studies. After his discharge, Chikatilo moved to the Rostov oblast in Russia, where he started working at a phone station and writing for local newspapers. He eventually married (more on that later) and decided to go back to studies, earning degrees in linguistics and teaching.
By 1970, he was teaching Russian language and literature at a boarding school in Novoshakhtinsk, which is when his sexual perversions first manifested. He would sit near female students, pretending to explain something, and grope them. In the evening he would wait until the girls started undressing before bedtime and barge into their room unexpectedly or, even worse, enter the room at night and molest the children, groping them and licking their genitals. Eventually he was forced to resign after groping a female student during a day out on the beach. Chikatilo took a second shot at teaching in 1978 (by then he and his family had relocated to the nearby Shakhty), but that stint was, too, cut short. Chikatilo, who was ridiculed by his students for occasionally touching his own genitals during classes, tried to grope a male pupil, which caused others to come to the boy’s rescue and beat Chikatilo up. He was fired from the school.
It’s worth noting that the very first time that Chikatilo experienced a sexual climax was not under normal circumstances either. One day when he was home alone, his sister’s female friend came to visit and the sight of the 13-year-old’s blue pantaloons excited Andrei so much that he wrestled the girl to the ground and got on top of her, which was enough to cause an ejaculation.
His later sexual life was an abject failure. Chikatilo was a tall, good-looking young man who received a lot of attention from local women, but his impotence precluded him from sexually performing (or even deriving any pleasure from intercourse) and sometimes became a source of mockery from his girlfriends. On more than one occasion, Chikatilo even attempted suicide because of the psychological and emotional frustration his impotence brought him.
However, he seemingly caught a lucky break when his sister introduced him to one of her friends called Feodosia. The two got married and while their sexual life was virtually non-existent (his wife later estimated that they had sex 25 times at best), Chikatilo barely managed to father two children, a girl and a boy. His sexual drive was strong, however, so in secret from Feodosia he bought a small wooden hut on the edge of Shakhty, which he used as a place for trysts with local prostitutes. Despite her husband’s impotence, Feodosia made peace with it because Andrei was a hard worker who didn’t drink or smoke, which was more than could be said about many other men.
Soon after he was fired from the Shakhty school in 1978, Chikatilo committed his first murder, luring 8-year-old Elena Zakotnova to the his secret hut, killing her, and throwing her body into the nearby river. I also talked about this crime in the first part.
“We entered the hut and immediately I threw myself on top of her. She started screaming. I gagged her but couldn’t engage in intercourse. Her screams excited me. I then grabbed a knife. After I realised I had killed the girl, I got up, got dressed, took the corpse to [river] Grushevka and submerged it in water. Her school bag followed.”
If you read my first post on Chikatilo, you may remember that the police managed to create a composite sketch of the murderer and the school’s principal confidently pointed to his former employee Andrei Chikatilo as the man in question. Unfortunately, Feodosia lied about her husband being at home at the time of the murder, thus giving him an alibi.
It was three years until Chikatilo claimed his second victim, a teenage prostitute, as he was afraid of getting caught. After Chikatilo solicited the girl’s services he tried to have sex with her, but his impotence got the better of him yet again. The girl apparently started mocking him, saying that his “apparatus” wasn’t working. That both embarrassed and infuriated Chikatilo, who proceeded to kill her. “I was achieving mental relief by hacking away without even looking,” he would later tell the detectives. Before the Rostov Ripper confessed to killing Zakotnova, that girl was considered his first victim.
One thing that in my opinion bears significance in the case of Chikatilo is that he never resorted to kidnapping his victims or threatening them with a knife. Every single woman and child who followed the killer to their demise did so of their own volition. The Rostov Ripper was extremely cunning and could always find a way to convince his victims to go with him willingly. He also managed to appear entirely harmless, presenting himself as a mild-mannered, soft-spoken older gentleman. He reportedly couldn’t even kill a chicken as it made him queasy.
However, once bloodlust overtook him, he would transform into a sadistic fiend, stabbing away at his victims, mutilating them, and even cannibalising some of their body parts. The sight of blood brought Chikatilo such excitement that his head would start spinning, blood pressure would go up, and he would lose all impulse control. The next half hour or so would be spent in a dazed, disoriented state, with him stabbing trees with a knife, walking in circles, or almost getting hit by passing cars. Confusion would soon turn into blissful relief, and Chikatilo admitted to sleeping like a baby after committing murders as if he was resting from unloading a freight car. It typically took two or three months before the “high” wore off and Chikatilo went out hunting again.
I should also note that Chikatilo, like fellow Soviet serial killers Alexander Berlizov and Gennady Mikhasevich, was part of a volunteer unit assisting the police in searching for the murderer and even had a document confirming it. That made it easier for him to avoid law enforcement as he had access to information that regular people didn’t.
In late 1984, by which point Chikatilo had murdered 32 people, he was arrested and the police found a very peculiar collection of things in his suitcase (the circumstances surrounding the arrest can also be found in the previous post). After only spending three months in jail for theft, Chikatilo and his family relocated to Novocherkassk. His job in logistics enabled him to travel around the Soviet Union, and as a result, several murders were committed hundreds of miles away from Rostov or Novocherkassk.
After his release from jail, Chikatilo killed two women (one of them all the way in Moscow suburbs) in 1985 and then decided to lay low for almost two years. When the Ripper resumed killing in May 1987, his victim preferences had changed somewhat, with him now targeting boys more often. One teenager had the misfortune of having a quick smoke in the hedgerow when he ran into the killer. Another was lured to Chikatilo's imaginary dacha under the pretence of forging a sick leave. Yet another kid agreed to the offer of celebrating his successful entrance exams. Like I said before, Chikatilo never had to coerce or threaten his victims into accompanying him. Because no new murders took place in the Rostov region between 1985 and 1988, some in the police even began thinking that the murderer had been arrested for unrelated charges or even committed suicide. In reality, he was simply killing away from Rostov.
Between May 1987 and November 1990, the killer claimed 19 more lives. Let us now return to the ending of my previous post and look at how Chikatilo was eventually apprehended. As you may remember, the Ripper’s last victim was a homeless woman named Svetlana Korostik whom he killed in the forest next to a way station on 6 November 1990. The woman put up a struggle, resulting in scratches to Chikatilo’s face, as well as leaves and small branches getting stuck on his suit. Upon exiting the forest, he was approached by sergeant Igor Rybakov, who took note of his dishevelled look and large duffel bag that seemed out of place in the woodland area (unbeknownst to the officer, the bag contained Svetlana Korostik’s severed breasts). While the sergeant had no valid reason to arrest the strange man, he jotted down his details in a report and sent it to the higher-ups. Eventually it reached the lead investigator on the case Issa Kostoyev, who instantly remembered that the name Chikatilo had already crossed his desk.
He quickly ordered to set up surveillance of Chikatilo, who remained none the wiser and continued approaching women and children in search for a new victim. Ten days later, on 20 November Chikatilo took leave from work to visit a doctor – his penultimate victim, a 16-year-old boy, had fought the killer hard and bitten his finger, which later got swollen. Chikatilo’s wife was still at work when he came home, so he grabbed a bite to eat and went out to buy some beer, carrying with him an empty three-litre can. It was a cool, cloudy autumn day. At the time, beer was quite difficult to get a hold of in Russia, so Chikatilo had a fairly long walk ahead of him.
All this time he was being followed by a surveillance team. After buying only 300 millilitres of beer (which struck the officers trailing him as odd considering he was carrying a three-litre can), he briefly went into a café. As he walked out and passed the cops, one of them asked, “What is your surname, citizen?” “Chikatilo,” he replied. “Citizen Chikatilo, you are under arrest.” He exhibited no reaction towards being arrested but, as the officers were taking him to the police car, he muttered, “here’s another proof you shouldn’t feud with the higher-ups.”

(I posted this over on Game Theory as well, but... don't know how to Cross post!)
Since the topic of when Sister Location take’s place has come up and is being discussed, I thought I would throw my hat into the ring with my own theory on it. The more I think about it, the less and less it makes sense for SL to be before the first game. For me, the mystery is more about how close to FNAF 3 it takes place, and I think I can give some good evidence that would put Sister Location as a direct prequel to 3, taking place as a lead in to the events of 3. Hear me out.
Molten Freddy and the Missing Children
A good part of this theory is based on whether or not Molten Freddy has the original souls (Complete or incomplete) of the 1985 MCI kids inside of him and I think he does. This is alluded to in The Fourth Closet when William Afton melts down the original animatronics and injects them directly into Funtime Freddy. When he injects Carlton with them as well, he’s shown some of the missing children. Fritz, Cassidy, and Suzie. He even interacts with them, they appear to be in a sort of limbo. He convinces them that they shouldn’t be following the bunny man and when he wakes up, Funtime Freddy and Mangle are attacking William, having turned on him suddenly. So thanks to the book, we know that Funtime Freddy also has at least some of the children inside of him. Which brings up the first interesting point.
We are shown that the souls, or part of the souls, of whomever is “trapped” in it can be in multiple places at the same time. In the book we see it’s in F. Freddy, as well as Carlton and probably still more inside the remaining remnant that William was saving for himself. Not only that, it shows that the soul part of one can affect the other. The animatronics turning on William as a result of Carlton talking with them after being injected is proof of that.
We can also see some evidence of this in the games. The Toy animatronics start acting up before Someone messes with them, and before someone uses the suit in the back. We know that parts were salvaged from the original animatronics to make the new ones. During the later nights in the games it’s shown that not only are the toy animatronics acting funny, the withered animatronics in the back are as well. A.k.a. The original animatronics who have the souls of the children in them. This shows that a soul, or in this case, a part of a soul, can inhabit more than one animatronic at the same time and both be possessed. We also get further evidence of this in the Fazbear Frights books, with multiple pieces of William's agony infecting multiple different objects in a Fazbear Warehouse, creating what eventually becomes the Afton Amalgamation.
Now, for the sister location’s time frame things start to get confusing, so let’s start with some things that we do know.
Dates we know
  1. The first Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza was established in 1983 (Learned from the coins in Help Wanted)
  2. The second Freddy’s (Toy Location) opened after 1985, since they had to beef up security as a direct results of the MCI
  3. The Toy Location closed in 1987 because of the bite
  4. Third Location opened sometime after that, and closed, in 1993
  5. Fazbear Frights opens in, and is burned down, 30 years later in 2023
William’s Path of destruction
  1. Murders at least 5 kids in the original location in 1985.
  2. Murders unknown number of kids in the Toy location (Alluded to by Phone guy, someone using the yellow suit)
  3. Disappears until after the FNAF 1 location closes, where he goes back and destroys the animatronics one by one, lured to him by Shadow Freddy (Still not sure how that works, but goin’ with it)
  4. ???? (More on this below)
  5. Get’s himself springlocked, being chased by the ghosts of his past and is locked away in the back room for 30 years
  6. Phone Dude finds him, places him in Fazbear Frights in 2023 (We found one, a real one!)
There is a small piece of this puzzle that has never made much sense to me though... He destroys the animatronics, most likely to gather their Remnant and use it for his experiments as we see him directly doing in the books. That makes sense (In a FNAF way it makes sense anyway). I also don’t think that this all took place in a single night. He came back night after night, destroying one animatronic after another and taking their remnant, As Henry alludes to in his speech, he took the one thing the children had from them, again. Taking their soul for his own purposes. He took the gift that was given to them by the puppet for himself. I also believe that this happened after the location closed, as it would have been extremely strange to open up in the morning and suddenly animatronics are just… missing and then… continue operations as normal.
He melts the parts he had collected down, extracts the remnant and injects it into Funtime Freddy as part of an experiment (As well as probably all the other Funtime Animatronics not named Baby) But, he saves a little bit for himself. I think he injects himself with it as well in an attempt to become immortal, as he seems to want to do in the book.
After his experiment he goes back to the pizzeria. Now that he’s injected himself, he can see the ghosts of the children. They have more of an influence over him than they ever could before. They chase him down, he gets in the Bunny Suit (Possibly to scare them away? Not sure how that was going to work) and promptly dies due to things on the outside insisting on being on his inside. Only his body dies though, but like we see with Michael later, he isn’t dead thanks to the remnant he injected himself with. There, he’s trapped for thirty years until unleashed upon the world in FNAF 3.
So this is the part that’s bugged me. Why did he go back? He had all four animatronics, why did he need to go back to the pizzeria? Was it to burn the place down to destroy the remaining evidence? Did he want to find Michael? Make sure he didn’t miss anything? I can’t figure it out. This also brings up a bit of an issue with the entire concept of all five children being inside of Molten Freddy… Where is Golden Freddy? We don’t see William destroying him. Put a pin in that, I’ll get to it later as it ties to Michael.
Sister Location and Michael Afton
So, how and when does Michael, and Sister Location, come into all of this? I do think that we play as Michael in every FNAF game, until UCN. I just don’t think he’s a walking corpse until just before the third game. Yes, I know that he was fired for odor but I have a possible explanation for that. That's way more down to earth than “Literal walking corpse.” So let me try and break this down!
Michael, torn apart by guilt on a nightly basis, probably isn’t living his best life. Depression, Anxiety… they do things to ya. Constantly plagued by Nightmares whenever he tries to sleep he’s not getting the rest he needs nor is he taking care of himself. When he learns what his father is doing, it gives him purpose, he has to undo the damage his father has done. Going to as many locations as he can to attempt to free the children, while staying under cover as much as possible so as not to draw the attention of his father.
Once the guard in FNAF 2 is moved to the Day shift, Michael is hired to take his place but is fired the day after that due to “Tampering with the Animatronics, and Odor.” Now I think he was fired primarily because of the former, the latter is not really a reason to get fired. I think it’s really just as simple as he’s not taking care of himself in his personal life. If he’s not getting enough sleep thanks to nightmares he’s probably starting to have psychotic episodes, preventing him from making normal every day decisions, like showering. He’s also around what… 23, 34 at this point? He may honestly even be homeless, unable to shower even if he wanted to. Whatever the case may be, It’s not because he’s dead. Yet.
When the FNAF 1 location opens, he’s surprised by this and applies there once more to see what’s going on. Under a different pseudonym this time. He gets the job and sees immediately that things are just like they were at the last location. He tries to free the animatronics but is unsuccessful as dear old dad is the one that actually takes them out once the location closes after he’s fired for tampering with them, again. This also explains how, if you are caught by the animatronics and stuffed in a suit in Fnaf 1, you die. There is no Remnant to keep you alive.
As an added point, if FNAF 4 takes place during the nights of FNAF 1, and are Michael's Nightmares as he's trying to sleep between shifts, this brings up a couple of strange points. If he is dead, he wouldn't need to sleep, so why would he be having nightmares? They could be hallucinations, but even that doesn't make much sense because of the fact that you are surviving until morning. He would be at the Pizzeria until morning, and home to sleep during the day. I think he's still alive, and his nightmares are what we see in 4, recreating what he's going through during the night shift.
After his firing, one night, a message finds him. It’s from his dad. A message telling him where to go and find his sister. This was William’s contingency plan. In the event of his demise, or capture, he would need someone to set Baby free so that she could find him and save him. Who better than the one person who would be eager to try and put a stop to it all? Michael in his guilt addled mind would want to do anything to help his sister, right?
Michael goes to their old house, something that William made sure was still paid for and not torn down, and finds the location under the house where William told him to go999999999999999999999999999++++ and Sister Location begins. Wackiness ensues, he’s scooped yadda yadda yadda. We now have Ennard in the sewers and a walking talking corpse known as Michael Afton. We get to hear his voice for the first time in the true ending of the game.
“Father, it’s me, Michael. I found them… they were all there. They didn’t recognize me at first, but then… they thought I was you. And I found her! I put her back together, just like you asked me to… she’s free now. But something is wrong with me, I should be dead but I’m not… I’ve been living in the shadows. There is only one thing left for me to do now. I’m going to come find you…”
We then see a sign outside of a building that has “Fazbear Frights” on it, as well as a brief appearance from Springtrap himself. This would lead directly into FNAF 3 where we have the first of two (possibly three if we count Security breach?), showdowns between Michael (Now a corpse infused with Remnant) and his dad (Also a corpse infused with Remnant inside of an animatronic rabbit suit)
To me this answers a good amount of the issues that come up if SL is before FNAF 2.
  1. It seems extremely unlikely that in 1987 or even 93 that someone would hire a security guard without interviewing them first and we didn’t exactly use Skype or Zoom calls back then. They would have noticed something obviously wrong with Michael in person. It makes sense that he’s not dead, yet, in order to get hired.
  2. You can get away with it in FNAF 3 and 6 as they take place in the present day. Now, I know that FNAF 3 was released in 2015, but even in 2015, we were doing interviews over phones or zoom etc… Hell I was hired by a company via a few skype interviews in 2016 so absolutely possible. Plus even if they did see him the people running Fazbear Frights probably saw it as a bonus that he looks so ghoulish.
  3. Because we see springtrap directly in the ending, it makes no sense at all to me for this to be before 1, springtrap didn’t exist yet. He wouldn’t be a thing until 2023 when he’s unleashed. So it only makes sense for SL to be not just after Fnaf 1, but many decades after it. Putting it just before FNAF 3, and acting as a natural lead into the third game.
Now... There are a few (ok many) lingering Questions
The Golden Freddy Question
So this does bring up one of the things I couldn't figure out for a while, but… may be hinted at by Michael himself. If all five kids are supposed to be in Molten Freddy… How is that possible? We see William destroying only 4 of the animatronics. He never got Golden Freddy. Well... I think he already had him. We get a clue to this in Michael’s Monolog “I found them… They were all there.” I think Golden Freddy, or in this case its original version, Golden Fredbear, was already in William’s possession and he extracted what he needed from it already. All he needed was the other four. As of FNAF 3, I don’t think Golden Freddy exists in a physical form anymore. Just a spirit, haunting William. That’s how it’s able to always be around, able to stop him from dying in 6 and able to trap him in a purgatory. The Golden Freddy endoskeleton has already been melted down by Wiliam. He just didn’t realize that by injecting himself with the remnant, he was subjecting himself to Cassidy’s wrath.
Now, if William already had Golden Freddy, how did Michael see him? I think that thanks to his lack of sleep, delusional mind, etc… Any time he sees Golden Freddy it’s him seeing a projection of his brother. A possible manifestation of his guilt, or, his brother reaching out to him from a far off location but only able to get through in rare instances. We never actually see Golden Freddy move, he just… is there, and in different forms over the years. We know that the Golden Freddy suit at one point was an actual suit, shown in multiple different places through the books and in the games so it does exist, or did exist, somewhere. But isn’t it odd that with the exception of William… no one else sees Golden Freddy ever again? We don’t see him in 6, or Security Breach. There is a small reference to him in the VR game, but we still don’t see Golden Freddy himself make any appearance. Only Michael and William ever seem to see him through the series, and in different forms.
Heck, in the Fazbear Frights story "The New Kid" We are directly shown that Golden Freddy can manifest a projection of a child that everyone can see, allowing him to lure people back to the suit, which is a physical suit. He's apparently already done it at least once before, and seems to be doing it again at the end of the story.
Happiest Day, or is it?
This also brings up the issue with Happiest Day, where the souls of the children were freed in one of FNAF 3’s endings. It’s quite possible that this is not the canonical ending. That, since part of the souls are in William, part are in Michael, and part are in Molten Freddy, they don’t actually get their happiest day until Henry enacts “Operation burn it all down”.
Even that isn’t successful as Cassidy keeps William alive. Michael is gone, Molten Freddy is gone, but parts of the souls of those kids live on in William. Cassidy forces them to hunt William down in an endless series of nightmares in UCN. This is possible due to the fact that because he injected himself with the remnant, they live rent free in his body with him while also keeping him alive, as we see in the Fazbear Frights story, the man in room 1280, a spirit can haunt a body directly.
“He tried to release you… he tried to release us but I won't let that happen. I will hold you here, I will keep you here. No matter how many times they burn us…”
There is a chance that part of their souls were released in Fnaf 3. The parts that haunted the original animatronics. All that remains are the parts in MF, William and Michael.
The Survival Logbook
This is one thing that seems to contradict pretty much everything I've typed here! In the book, Michael specifically references Sister Location multiple times. The Exotic Butters Basket, Casual Bongos, etc... so that means that when he was filling out this particular book, it had to be after SL. We also see in the book multiple spirits, Cassidy and the Crying child having a slight conversation. So how is this possible?
Well, one simple thing about the book is... we don't know when it was made either. For all we know, this was a book that made in Fnaf 6, and Michael is filling it out as part of his ownership responsibilities at Freddy's Pizza Place.
In Conclusion
So that... in a long winded nutshell, is why I think Sister Location takes place as a lead in to Fnaf 3, and the start of the final showdown of the Afton Family. As with all theories, it’s not perfect, there are always going to be plot holes. But for me it solves a lot of little issues I have with SL being before FNAF
I do believe William had created the animatronics before 1987, obviously since his child was murdered by one before he himself was springlocked, they had to be created before that. They just didn’t get their Remnant Infusion until after he destroyed the animatronics later, in 1993.
Hope at least some of this makes sense! I know I ramble a lot. Just had to get it out of my head and out into the world.
