I tried a couple of load order templates I found online and the current one has been pretty good at making sure the mods worked as intended across a few character builds but recently started having the game crash more often without any change to it, or the game failing to even start on Xbox. Blow up the Institute. There are very good reasons for all 3 factions to, instead of literally blowing up the Institute and at best saving what few scientists would heed the evacuation order, to instead use the Institute HQ for themselves, killing those that fight back, which would mostly be the branch heads, the Coursers, and Father, gaining control of the pre gen 3 synths to see their faction as “The Institute” and therefore stop attacking them and random wastelanders, and assuring the rest of the scientists and faculty that all that is going to happen is a changing of the guard, with new goals that don’t abuse the wastelanders, or at least a different kind of abuse when it comes to the Brotherhood.
Minutemen: They can use Institute technology and the knowhow of the compliant scientists to rebuild the Commonwealth, exponentially increasing the rate of human development in the Commonwealth and the East Coast as a whole.
Railroad: They can personally control the Synth making process, to ensure that all future Synthkind is, instead of being slaves of the Institute, are instead allowed to pursue their own individual interests, as well as keeping track of all Synths to find and help the ones in need.
Brotherhood: Now, I know the Brotherhood finds the Synths to be abominations, but Synths aren’t the only thing the Institute makes. There is no reason why the Brotherhood, while definitely shutting down the Synth making process, wouldn’t recruit and integrate compliant scientists into the Brotherhood’s science team, like how they do with Madison Li, and to study and use Institute technology for their own devices, that literally being the main purpose of the Brotherhood, gathering, studying and archiving technology, paternalistically keeping it away from wastelanders while using it for their own purposes.
Blowing up the Institute is such caveman mentality. And I know, the average wastelander probably does want the Institute to be obliterated because all the Institute is for them is basically a post apocalyptic Gestapo, and they don’t know or care about anything salvageable from the Institute. But by that logic, we should destroy surviving Nazi era buildings in Germany because the Nazis built them.

Your first argument about why you think breeding is fine is because “look at shredder he’s perfect”. That’s not the point of why breeding is bad. Of course shredder is great, he’s a dog dogs are great. But can I remind you shredder experienced kidney failure at age 5. Breeding dogs exaggerates their breed specific issues. Kidney issues are extremely common among yorkies and getting a pure bred dog pretty much guarantees you will lose the dog due to their breed specific issues.
Second of all you say you don’t see the issue with breeding animals period. Google it. It is extremely obvious why breeding animals is unethical even when it’s labelled as ethical breeding. There is no such thing as ethical breeding because regardless, that industry supports the euthanization of shelter animals and senior animals dying alone after spending their whole life unloved.
(Ethan did not argue this next part in the see you next Tuesday I’m just mentioning it) Your dog is not you status symbol. When the argument is because you want a specific breed, there is really no reason you need a specific breed of dog. You don’t get to chose the qualities your child is going to have, you love them regardless.

You are having a third child, already have a baby sitter all the time for your 2 kids even while you’re home, you have 2 dogs which you take to work and have your staff watch over (cleaning up shredders vomit and taking them outside). That’s not normal to take your pets to work and have your staff take care of them.
You are ignorant to this debate, you aren’t trying to learn about it, and you don’t want to learn about it. In your words it is “self celebratory” to claim your dog is a rescue because you didn’t do shit to get them, you got them for free at the pound. That is incorrect, not only are shelter dogs not free but they are extremely hard work. In pretty much all cases you much help the dog unlearn tendencies they built during abuse. That can take months, years, or in some cases (mine included) their entire life. These dogs life will never be the same as a dog that never endured abuse and as their owner you are signing up for the task of nurturing an animal that humans have failed. That is not the easy way out of getting a pet, getting a bred dog quite literally is.
You cannot handle a pig and you know you can’t. But you know you can hire someone or have Lena take care of the pig until you realize it’s not in the best interest for anyone to keep the animal and then you donate it. You know that getting a pig will be a fun animal to be around at the good times and to just be able to say you own in general.
Educate yourself on the industry of breeding animals and don’t be comfortable remaining ignorant.

I have been working on a high fantasy story about a core cast of characters who interact with a diverse expanded group of characters as they journey across the world in an epic Dungeons & dragons type story. A lot of the lore, world-building and has been completed. I am looking for help from people who are interested and know the genre well. There are plenty of characters who still need to be written but that have their role in the story already designated. There are many events and locations that still need to be written and I'm looking to expand the story as a whole. This story will pull ideas from much high fantasy pop cultures such as LOTR, Elder Scrolls, Pillars of eternity, etc.

Here is a sample of some of the lore/writing
1000 Years peace Started with the founding of the Twin Cities which were built after a stalemate on the site of a fierce and final battle that ended wars between the Colovian Empire and the Leranthir Dynasty. The battle that had halted the ever-succeeding advance of the Leranthir forces ended when the Gnomes finally joined the war, unexpectedly on the side of the Colovian empire. This was instrumental in forcing the two opposing sides to come to an agreement, Eothis would be divided and ruled jointly by two empires, one human and one elvish. To cement this agreement, the Twin Cities was constructed around towers built on top of the original fortification both sides had placed. The two cities began to emerge and merge together until they were virtually indistinguishable from one another. Despite the original forts each having their own names they would become known by the moniker the Twin Cities, which does in fact have two distinct governments: one human, and one elvish. Each has its own ruler, its own laws, its own court, and its own traditions. But in practice, the two governments were so intertwined that neither could do much without the other. The human and elvish officials met regularly to discuss matters of mutual concern, and decisions were made jointly, with representatives from both sides. It is generally considered the most bureaucratic place anywhere in Eothis.
Over the centuries the Twin Cities of Eothis remained a symbol of hope and unity, a testament to the power of cooperation and mutual understanding. They stood as a shining example to the rest of the continent, showing that even the most bitter enemies can put aside their differences and work together for the greater good. The Twin Cities is a symbol of the cooperation and mutual respect that has slowly developed out of bitter resentment between these two great empires. It is a place where members of all races could come together, trade goods and ideas, and live in peace. Of course, there were occasional tensions between populations, but these tensions were always managed with care and diplomacy and were never allowed to escalate into violence. The people of the Twin Cities were proud of their shared heritage, and they worked hard to ensure that the legacy of cooperation and respect that had been established so long ago would continue into the future. Nowhere in the empire did who you were, what you were, or where you hailed from matter as little as it did in the twin cities. The Twin Cities were renowned throughout the land for their beauty and cultural richness, attracting visitors from far and wide. Every group had an embassy in this city and was represented. All meetings between the empire and dynasty were always held here after its founding.

i'm from north america and i like texting and calling and equal amount. sometimes you just don't feel like calling and rather text yk? sometimes its the opposite. i have a deep voice. kind of shy at first but i swear i end up talking to much in call if i get along with someone lol. i don't mind silence at all and i dont find it awkward either. i just enjoy being in the presence of someone i'm close to even if it's quiet.

What are the core differences between these two? I know I’m 6/9 but I’m struggling with whether my final type is 2 or 4.
With 4, I relate to: - introversion and needing to spend a lot of time alone, only wanting a small close group of friends who truly “get me” - highly self aware and constantly ruminating on my thoughts and feelings in attempt to truly understand myself - Not trusting other people to meet my needs - a need to be “in control” - a deep sense of being fundementally flawed and lacking - a tendency to withdrawal completely when overwhelmed - a desire to be “rescued” - expressing self through art - a deep desire to be understood - maladaptive daydreaming
In terms of what I don’t relate to, I don’t relate to feeling “uniquely talented” (I’m extremely unambitious and consider myself to be generally ordinary) though to some degree I relate to feeling uniquely flawed, but I’m constantly reassuring myself that there are millions of people just like me who have similar issues and that everyone will understand me if just explain myself well enough (which starts with obsessively trying to understand myself well enough). I don’t relate to being “open” because I don’t feel comfortable expressing my authentic feelings to anyone even though I desire desperately to be understood completely (or, to have someone see all of me, all of my flaws and still tell me I’m a good person). I actually tend to be extremely secretive. I don’t think I’m especially individualistic, I find security in seeing similar traits in others and in being “part of a group,” more than anything I want to “fit in” and just be considered average and just have a peaceful life. I’m terrified of attention and I don’t want to stand out too much (but I do care about being important to a select few.) I’ve also heard fours are more comfortable with change and don’t really need as much external consistency but I’m horrible with change and am deeply impacted by the feelings of the people around me.
With 2, I relate to: - being highly in-tune with other’s emotions - a strong desire to be seen as a good, helpful person - a tendency to judge my worth based on how helpful I am and how “good” others perceive me to be - a belief that I am flawed and need to make up for that by being exceptional all of the time - a strong need for stability and consistency - a tendency to insert myself into situations as a “rescuer,” seeing problems where there aren’t really problems so I can “solve them” - a tendency to help others and then feel resentful that they’re not helping me (even if I haven’t expressed my needs to them) - a tendency to people-please and bury my own feelings - a tendency to overrate my efforts on other’s behalf
I don’t relate to being highly extroverted. Though sometimes I people please and become super close to people out of fear they’ll leave, other times I completely withdraw and will avoid talking to people for weeks. Often I’ll not talk to anyone at all for ages but I’ll spend that entire period of time worried about whether I’m likable and judging myself even though there’s no one there to judge me. I also feel like I’m self-aware in a way that twos aren’t described as, I know that I’m being irrational in expecting others to meet all my unspoken needs, I know that I am people-pleasing and fawning because I want to feel secure and wanted and not because I truly want to help, I know I’m putting their needs first because I’m afraid they’ll leave otherwise and not because I’m selfless. I have a running dialogue in my head judging myself for these things and avoid ever expressing any thoughts of anyone “owing me” or whatever because I know they’re unfair.
If any of this seems contradictory it’s because I have a disorganized attachment style, so I often alternate between over-involvement with others and complete withdrawal. In some ways act like a 2 when I’m over-involved and like a 4 when I’m withdrawing. Thank you for reading and I really appreciate any typing help.

I'm not a perfect bird owner, for what it's worth, but I try pretty hard to give my guys a good life. With that said, I had to unfollow posts from my local bird FB group last week because it was driving me up the wall—just an endless trainwreck of people who either don't know or don't care about meeting basic standards of care. Terrible diet advice, crappy breeders selling unweaned babies, photos of birds in tiny, dirty cages with no toys, people telling new owners to forcibly grab their terrified birds and hold them to hand-tame them. The post that pushed me over was somebody asking how to treat a beak wound on a poor little budgie that was being permanently housed in a travel cage WITH A RINGNECK. It makes my heart ache, and I've spent a lot of time in the past trying to gently direct people towards info on how to care for their birds better—but most people react terribly when they feel like their animal husbandry is being judged. It's so hard not to say something when you see it though. The sale posts are even worse, because all I want to do is bring all these poor birds home even though it does nothing to teach the owners better.

I (23F) have been dating my boyfriend (24M) on and off for around 5 years now.
A little backstory:
I grew up in an abusive, controlling household. I was never given an opportunity to find myself or become independent. Every move I made was completely monitored. Even at 18, I couldn't leave the house without my mother watching me like a hawk.
My boyfriend is the only person willing to put up with all of that. In addition to her always watching every interaction (even going so far as to monitor our messages!), she's very offensive and has insulted him multiple times.
I've known for a time that the only reason I'm really with him is because I don't have any other choice. Who else would choose to be with someone like me? I'm not attractive enough either to be worth all the bother.
We date on and off because I have commitment issues and trauma from my parents' marriage. Honestly, I feel that they should have divorced, but they're very religious and conservative and believe that a child should always grow up within the sanctity of marriage with two parents. To do otherwise would be damning the child to the flames of hell or some bullshit like that. So as a result, I grew up seeing my father yell and hurt my mother while I hid in the bathroom. My mother has also trauma dumped on me multiple times growing up about how my father would throw hot soup or water on her when he was mad (HE FIRST DID THIS ON THEIR HONEYMOON!). She never left him because "divorce is a sin". She was a lawyer and he even made her leave her practice.
As a result, I ended up with a very warped view of love and marriage. I constantly break up with him and get back together with him because of fears of ending up like my mother.
Lately, I've been slowly getting some of my freedom back. At this point I realized that I'm just stringing my boyfriend along, and I feel terrible.
I realized it yesterday when he made a joke about me being the breadwinner and he'd be a househusband. To clarify, when I was 16, I said I'd want to be the sole provider of the family. This comes from my experience with my father. Because he controlled the finances of the house, my mother had no way of going against what he wanted. Because all resources came from him, his rule was law in the house.
That made me believe that the only way to escape abuse was by being the one controlling finances. I was adamant and told my boyfriend that I'd want him to he a househusband and take care of the house while I be a provider.
That was years ago. Since then, I've started to develop a much healthier view of relationships. My boyfriend and I graduated college, and while I was still stuck with my family that didn't allow me independence or financial freedom, he was able to get a job, move out, and provide for himself.
Maturing since I was 16 and scared made me realize that maybe being the breadwinner isn't the only way to escape abuse. I've also been seeing all my other friends with healthy relationships where the man spoils the girl and pays for all the dates and brings her home and everything. I'm always the one taking care of myself and seeing all of that looked so romantic. I wanted that for myself. Like, its a way to feel loved outside of being abused.
Since my boyfriend got money, he's been able to take me out on dates, buy me gifts, etc. It's so nice being spoiled and taken cared of and loved, I realize.
Then he brought up a few days ago my initial plan again to be a breadwinner and how it's funny that he's the one spending, when the plan was for him to be the one cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids. For context, I FINALLY was able to get a good paying job, so he brought up that maybe now I can be the breadwinner.
I realized I don't want that anymore.
Also, since I mentioned, we've been on and off. He dates other women in the periods that we're off, and I get so jealous and hurt of them that he ends up breaking up with them and going back to me.
I realize that I'm just stringing him along. I don't love him anymore, but every time there's a new woman, I get so jealous and possessive and hurt. I don't think I want to marry someone like him, but I'm too far deep in now.
If I let him go, I'll just die of jealousy if there's a new woman (especially since he has the freedom to go out and meet new people, while I can't!). I practically have no one other than him.
So now I'm just keeping him around until I can fully gain my freedom and meet other people. I don't want him in the end, in all honesty. I don't want the kind of life he was expecting he'd have. He's just a placeholder for me now that's comfortable until I find the person I'm ready to settle down with.
I'm a terrible fucking person for this and something is seriously wrong with me. I'd get therapy for this bullshit, but therapy is expensive.
PS please don't post this anywhere else like on tiktok or Facebook. I plan to either get the courage to talk to him about this or seek professional help to figure my shit out. The last thing I'd want is for him to find out about my true feelings from the internet.

Writing is hard and sometimes I feel myself get discouraged by the fact that (as of right now) I'm the only one who really cares about my work. But then I remembered that that's also one of my favorite parts about writing. I'm putting my time into something that gives me pure joy, that I can come back to, experience again, and get more joy out of it. With social media, the internet, etc, our world is already so full of presenting bits of ourselves for other people's consumption (and all the pros & cons that come with that). So it's nice that when I sit down to write, I can take a break from those things. It's a gift of happiness that I give just to myself.
It helps me to remember that after a hard day. So I guess I wanted to know, what parts of writing bring you happiness?

I’m just gonna post a novel in here describing my phone call with my bosses boss today, and you let me know if I’m in the wrong or chime in.
I’m a 4th year plumbing apprentice working for a great company in new construction high rises. I Love the trade, good company, but I hate the industry. I love coming into work and learning somthing new from a more experienced plumbetradesperson, but I’ve always resented the power relationship between employee and employer. Mainly people who work in our office who are out of touch with what’s happening in the field. I mean after all, they make money off of our labour in the overhead costs. Anyway here is what happened today
Our office has recently put out this safety app that all workers are required to fill out every morning. The idea being if you can list hazards and safety precautions before you start your day, you can avoid getting hurt. Almost everyone has resisted this app at first. But eventually we all bent the knee to our corporate masters and started filling out the app. Almost everyone just copy and pasted the same reports every day just to make our office happy.
Now I’m a rough in tester, so basically all I do is run around with a garden hose filling up units and bathtubs with water…..not exactly a very dangerous task. Still I am required to fill out the app and list a hazard. So with the combination of this, and my anti authority attitude I fill out the app sarcastically, assuming nobody reads this.
For example under the hazards section I’ll write: Getting wet and being cold Then under safety control I’ll write: Wear extra layers. Or wear a pool floatie. So on and so forth
Anyway, I get a call from our safety manager, where he proceeds to tell me I don’t take safety seriously, and I need to fill the app out to their standard. Despite never having a first aid incident in 3 years I’ve worked here.
To where I respond “this isn’t a safety app, this is a subordination app to track employee hours and keep us in line. You don’t care about our safety, you just don’t wanna pay extra insurance premiums in the event of a first aid incident. Yes I’m being a little unprofessional in my reports, but almost every other employee I work with agrees with me, the only difference is I actually speak up about it, whereas everyone else keeps their head down and follows orders.
We then had a back and fourth about the app for 10 minutes before I realized there was no combination of words in the English language I could say that would make them agree with me. And I’m ashamed to say I caved in and apologized. I’ve never felt so disgusted with myself.
In conclusion, my coworkers are telling me I’m being childish and disrespectful, and I need to fall in line and do as I’m told, whereas I think it’s more admirable to be honest and have an open dialogue with my employer.
