I booked an Airbnb and they wanted a photo ID. I didn't think and sent a scanned color copy to the host. They have multiple luxury properties and a hundred plus reviews. They wanted it for the front desk to verify me when I arrive. I could of sent my driver's license, blacked out my data on the passport, but did none of those things without thinking. Now I am worried it could be used for identity theft. They have none of my credit card details since Airbnb pays them. Should I be concerned? After all, hotels abroad have made copies of my passport, motorcycle rental shops too.

Yet another buyer's remorse thread but now trying to look at possible consequences of completely defaulting.
Seems like while I was traveling the world burning up my remaining points from a once succesful pricing arbitrage scheme (and some gifted timeshare points) I ended up being roped in toward the end of the trip and also while at peak travel mania. I was even considering paying cash for one the MGM Signature studios and I now know that was a ridiculous idea to show you the kind of mental state I was. Drugs may have been involved. I didn't realize I would soon be completely out of business and in trouble with the IRS.
I almost blacked it all out as I moved on to the next stop in my vacation, of course letting the recission period pass by.
After it sunk it what I had done (and being the ever bargain hunter I bought something virtually worthless) I have been futilely looking at ways out of it but also in the throes of a severe mental crash and have been barely functional the last few months. And know it's not possible at this point. Have had a few collection calls from the bank but I mostly miss them as they come in too early. The developer has never tried to contact me even though they are not getting paid either.
I never paid a dime on the loan. I blocked the developer from charging my card further.
I am pushing 50 and prior to a brief period of time making an adult income I mostly made just above minimum wage. And I am never going back down that route, and even if ... once my savings run out that will likely be what I am making. That all came to an end and I am pretty unemployed, and not looking. So not just buyer's remorse but where is this money going to come from?
To be honest I am not too concerned about a credit hit. Or maybe I should be.
Had kind of a girlfriend who didn't come along sensed something was wrong and kept pushing me on it so I resisted though I was going to talk about. She eventually dumped me. My first girlfriend since I was 17.
Total baggage for any new relationship should I try again. Also the close family member who gifted me some timeshare points was also hoping to sign it over to me so even that created a rift.
Major hit to my self esteem as I have always been able to resist any sales attempts in the past. Like when they told me if I end up homeless the $299 weekly specials are cheaper than a one bedroom. Damn.
Between that and a near inability to get out of bed while this plays on an endless loop in my head I have let this thing has almost completely ruin my life beyond the usual issues I have seen expressed online. This poor financial choice is somehwat intertwined with an IRS issue, where sloppy / improper accounting and some lost 1099s may have cost me $60-80,000 which has basically contributed to my idea of the total pointlessness of every trying to work again at some low wage McJob.
I did briefly talk to a lawyer in the relevant state - actually a close friend who said maybe not let me see the contract, then haven't heard much back and haven't followed up. All he really said is I may not have to honor the contract if I was intoxicated but left it at that. We didn't really go into the obvious untreated mental illness surrounding all this.
And another concern is this grevious mistake is going to push midnight a few years closer because I have pretty much decided to check out once the money is gone.
Also is there any way I can make a complaint somehwere even specifically against the reps who at least told me they were licensed real estate agents. Like if they misrepresented my income on the loan application in addition to taking advantage of a intoxicated and mentally ill person.
Of course the past few years were a totally mentally tumultous period with a few crashes and I guess this is just one of the consequences.
Trying to think of the positives like I can still vacation in decent places with a kitchen though I really only follow my favorite bands and dependent on public transportation so stuck in major cities and I can also leave my body in one of the units.
Any advice, encouragement, shaming is most appreciated.

I was offered a pre approved credit card by the last quarter of 2022 with a credit limit of 110,000 through BPI Online. The promo would end by Feb 16, 2023 - so I chose my card (GOLD MC), filled up the necessary information, and sent the application by Feb 12, 2023 and I got my card within 10 days.
A week after activating my card, I got another message through BPI Online informing me that I qualified for another pre approved credit card upon checking the credit limit is at 120,000.
Did anybody else experience this? Is this normal?
Currently planning on having my branch help me upgrade the card to Visa Signature or Platinum MC if that's possible.

2 weeks ago I stayed at a Sheraton for Spring Break. I originally booked with points and was just shy so accepted the terms of having to pay the standard rate if I didn’t have enough points in time. Well, I didn’t have enough points in time, however, it’s been 14 days since checkout and still no charges.

At the terminal, we were not all that familiar with the check-in process, and I feel as if we were taken advantage of. There were “workers” wearing Carnival vests who were taking people’s luggage and checking them in to the terminal. A worker observed that we were not that familiar with the process and unsure where to go, offered to take our luggage to be checked in. We agreed. Once he took our luggage he repeated multiple times “tips are appreciated” and it felt really awkward because he wouldn’t let us walk away. After the 3rd time of “tips are appreciated” I told him that I am not carrying cash, he then proceeded to take out Square to take a credit card tip. It felt really awkward and was a poor experience because we were unfamiliar. I eventually broke down and gave him a $5 out of my bag so he would let us go.
In Port of Miami, is this a similar process? Is there a way to check in our luggage ourselves to avoid the awkward tipping? My understanding now is that they do not work for the cruise line directly, therefore they hound guests for tips.

Hi everyone! I might be in the wrong place, but I'm looking for some guidance. I received an email notification on Thursday that I had new expenses to review on my corporate credit card. I have not used the card since October, so I promptly checked the charges and found out they were to the tune of nearly $3,000.00. I immediately went to my wallet to retrieve the associated card for the phone number. The card was gone. I tore apart my wallet and my entire purse. No card. I was able to find the phone number to report the card as stolen and the charges fraudulent. The charges, three of them, happened between 3:37 and 4:05 pm on Monday, March 20th. Gift cards, Mountain Dew and snacks were purchased in three seperate transactions at two separate gas stations. I called the local police department and they were very responsive. They went to the gas stations and found that it was two males. They were wearing face masks, the Covid kind, not ski masks, bucket hats and hoodies. They parked at an adjacent location both times. No car, no plates. However, I feel it's worth checking neighboring security camera footage for the car. Am I wrong? Can I request this on my own? I feel like the card was stolen from my wallet at work. The men on the security footage don't appear to be co-workers, so I think my card was sold. The police would not share the security camera footage with me because, "We can't just give this out." I'm not sure that's true? I'm the victim of a crime and I'm not sure I should just give up on this. What should I do next? Can I contact the gas stations myself to request the footage, then move on to neighboring businesses? I'm just not cool with shrugging this off.

I began writing post cards for Stake last October. While I was writing, I was also playing here religiously. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars here. I'm Plat 1 and got there from playing. I never recycled. I'm only asserting that, because it's not like I was just writing post cards (although that detail shouldn't even matter).
I would write anywhere between 500 to 1000 post cards a month and they were credited normally. I write very cleanly and I've never had a post card rejected.
This week, I got the dreaded "further information required" post. Luckily, they unfroze my account after two days and it wasn't offline very long. But immediately after my account was un-frozen, I got an e-mail saying that a large number of my envelopes were denied for not being legible (lol okay? I've written them the same way for months and never had one rejected). Then I get another email saying that all 1000 of my outstanding cards were not legible and they denied them.
This is absolute and utter crap. If they want to hurt their community who supports them, promotes them and engages in their website, that's on them. But I will never play at this website ever again. Stake, you chose to come to the USA and engage in our Sweepstakes Laws. Nobody asked you to come. You need to pay out the people who write to you. I will not be shy about telling people how you scam your valued "customers."

Sending out an SOS here! I have been planning a bachelor party for my best friend in Nash for months now and we’re really wanting to see our hometown team, St. Louis, play y’all next Saturday (4/1). I spoke to the box office a month ago, which is when i first learned about the blackout restrictions. It was suggested that I wait to purchase tickets until i was physically in Nashville but I learned today that the restriction is based on credit card billing address (VPN didn’t work). I’m starting to think that there is no way for us to get tickets but this game was one of the main reasons we chose this weekend.
Does anyone know how an out-of-town hockey fan could attend a Preds game with these restrictions? I’ve tried resellers like StubHub and SeatGeek but they’ve all failed. Are we totally SOL here? Any advice is more than welcome, even if it’s to just give up and find a good bar to watch from lol.

I lost a lot of money to gambling in a span of 1/2 months. Prbbly I lost like 2k dollars.
Maybe that's not much for you, but with the exchange rate where I live (Brazil) it's a lot of money, plus the fact that I'm merely a young full-time college student, I don't have a huge income... I turned 100 dollars in 1500 dollars, 50 dollars in 500 dollars, 40 dollars in 150 dollars... I always started winning, but in the end I always started to lose, I lost everything, and I deposited again. I took a lot of money out of my credit card (which I can't pay anymore now), used up all my balance from 3 different banks.
All because of a fucking online casino, which brought me the illusion that I could improve my life and the life of my family, which is not going well financially. I lost a lot of money to gambling in a span of 1/2 months. Prbbly I lost like 2k dollars.
Maybe that's not much for you, but with the exchange rate where I live (Brazil) it's a lot of money, plus the fact that I'm merely a young full-time college student, I don't have a huge income... I turned 100 dollars in 1500 dollars, 50 dollars in 500 dollars, 40 dollars in 150 dollars... I always started winning, but in the end I always started to lose, I lost everything, and I deposited again. I took a lot of money out of my credit card (which I can't pay anymore now), used up all my balance from 3 different banks.
All because of a fucking online casino, which brought me the illusion that I could improve my life and the life of my family, which is not going well financially.
