I hope this is the right place to come to for this. I was wondering what could possibly cause the game to crash at random times.
I was shiny hunting Regirock, doing resets, and when I got past the title screen the game was completely frozen, except music and sound effects would still play. It would eventually crash after trying to open the text box when interacting with Regirock. I couldn't catch the error code and when closing and reopening the game, the issue wasn't fixed.
It took completely restarting the console to go back to normal, and everything seems okay now, but I wanted to ask if there was possibly something on my end that caused it or if it was just completely random. Thank you!!

We begin with Laura peeking inside the window looking at some of the fine goods in Oleson's Mercantile, speculating on what her birthday present might be. Laura thinks it might be a new doll (since when does she play with dolls? -- unless she's still hoping for a replacement for the one that was broke in "The Raccoon" way back in season 1). Or maybe it's something else. Mary joins in and she doesn't know, but wouldn't tell if she did (true to form). Laura gives her some crap over all of that, but Mary is totally in the right here -- as a kid I learned it's much better if you wait than try to act surprised when the big day comes. Speaking of which, the big day has come as Pa hands Laura her gift, which turns out to be...a new dictionary. This is sort of a slap in the face to both Mary and Laura as Mary wanted one badly in "The Award" and worked her butt off to get it and never did, but Laura doesn't want it and gets it. Laura fakes some enthusiasm the way you would if someone gave you socks for Christmas. That night, Charles is in bed with Caroline when he admits he sucks at reading a room. Caroline humors him by saying that's exactly what she would have picked out. This is one thing I hate about Caroline, she rarely has the chutzpah to call out Charles when he is wrong. I miss the Caroline from the pilot movie that was full of backtalk and sass and implied insults. Next we find Laura window shopping at the Mercantile once more, where this time she's joined by Anna, a friend that stutters. They both look over the things they can't have, sadly. Just then, Nellie announces she's forming a new club and invites Laura into the house. Nellie invites Anna, but as soon as everyone gets up there, she announces Anna can't be in the club because of her speech impediment. Laura and Anna are ready to leave, but Harriet announces she's made punch and sandwiches for everyone. How nice of Harriet! There's a swarm at the door as everyone heads downstairs and in the process, Laura stays behind and swipes a music box out of Nellie's room. Laura takes it back to the Ingalls barn and immediately starts playing it. The next part is really corny as Laura smiles and dances like she's in some sort of bizarre, euphoric trance. She hears the barn door shut and senses someone has come, so she rushes over to close the music box. It falls to the ground in the process. We get some tremendous camerawork as Laura peeks in on the situation upside-down from the loft, and sure enough the shot is upside-down. Turns out it was just the wind blowing the door open and shut. She goes back to check the status on the music box, but it's all distorted and weird. That night, Laura has a nightmare about being found guilty of her crime and sentenced to 100 years of school. This wakes Mary up and they have a doozy of an argument as Mary suggests Laura try to dream of something else next time. I'm not sure which side I'm on here since Mary should know people really can't control their dreams, but it's pretty obvious that Laura's theft influenced this dream, so there's that.
Laura is walking to school one morning when she is approached by Nellie, who offers her a gumdrop. Laura accepts, which is pretty brazen considering she stole Nellie's music box, broke it and didn't tell her about it. Nellie invites her to lunch at the club, but Laura says she's still debating her membership. Anna says she'll come, but is denied again. Laura then informs Nellie that she wouldn't be in her club for all the gumdrops in the store. Nellie mocks Anna's stuttering, which is a mistake since Nels overhears and orders her inside and tells her to get the strap ready. Nellie rushes over to Harriet, who plays moderator for the whole situation. She's able to get Nels to back off a whooping if Nellie agrees to apologize to Anna and her parents. Nellie doesn't know the way to Anna's house however, so she stops by the Ingalls place for directions. In the barn trying to escape Jack's wrath, she finds Laura attempting to fix the music box, to no avail. Nellie calls Laura out on the theft, but Laura feverishly denies taking it. Nellie counters that there were only two of them made (one in her room and the other in the store), but Laura continues to double down on the lying. Finally, Laura caves and confesses. So Laura broke an almost one-of-a-kind item. Charles comes in and Nellie bails Laura out by saying she gifted the music box to Laura and they're friends now. Nellie heads over to Anna's place and apologizes. That night, Laura has another nightmare, this time that she's in shackles and being kept in some type of cellar (foreshadowing?). Harriet comes in and throws some scraps of food to her and all the other children. Nellie comes in with some KFC and holds out a chicken leg for Laura, who rushes over to accept, but gets bopped on the head with it, which is apparently enough to knock her out. Nellie exits and Laura pounds on the door, then the scene transitions to Laura pounding on the wall in the real world. That racket has awoken the entire household, so Pa asks what's going on. Laura asks Mary to cover for her. Mary obliges and (flatly) tells Pa that Laura fell out of bed. At school, Laura ditches Anna in order to play with Nellie and company.
Suppertime at the Ingalls finds Mary and Laura being quiet after they apparently had an argument about the Anna situation. They head up to the loft, where the argument quickly resumes. Oh Laura, what makes you think you can win a debate with the Moral Authority? Laura accuses Mary of jealousy (?!), but Mary counters than she wouldn't join the club for all the gumdrops in Oleson's store. Can Mary read minds or something? Laura said that exact phrase earlier and Mary wasn't around for it. Pa joins in and Mary gives Laura a pretty vicious takedown over the events and Pa is NOT pleased. He orders Laura to inform Nellie she's quitting the club, then orders the sisters to make up. Laura and Mary have a "sorry, not sorry" exchange. That night, Laura has yet another nightmare, this time that she is hung for her crime. This is pretty damn graphic for a family show in the 70's. The next day, Laura tells Nellie that she's revoking her club membership. The club meets in Nellie's room, where Nellie humiliates Anna some more. Anna runs off crying.
Laura finds Anna crying by a tree and actually manages to salvage the friendship. That night, she comes home soaked from the rain and chooses that time to confess her crime. Laura attempts to justify the stealing, talks about how scared she was and tries to blame the entirety on Nellie. Laura is using every trick in the book here and of course Pa lets her off easy. So just to recap, Laura stole an expensive and rare item, broke it, lied repeatedly about it, made life hell for two people and manages to get off with literally zero punishment. Unreal. As if that wasn't enough, Nellie does get whooped, then Laura and Anna dump buckets of water on Willie just because they can.
So I guess the moral of the story here is if you're Laura Ingalls, you can do whatever you want and not have to face the consequences.
EPISODE WINNER - Not really much to choose from here, but I'll go with Harriet for being such a gracious hostess.
EPISODE LOSER - Laura for her crime, dishonesty and all around maliciousness, although Pa deserves a mention for his crummy present that was insulting on so many levels and was the catalyst for everything that transpired here

If this post seems slightly nonsensical I just had a breakdown and really need some help.
This is our first time adopting more than one cat. We adopted two 2 year old cats from a local shelter on Sunday. The shelter said they were a bonded pair and they acted like that in the shelter (they were literally sleeping on each other and grooming each other). After we took them home, they acted like this for a day, but then the male cat (Pinto) started getting very aggressive to the female cat (Praline) whenever she would use certain toys (He swats at her every time she uses a certain scratch post) or when she uses one of their litter boxes. He also stopped letting her sleep with him, he stopped grooming her, and they got to a point where he was chasing her under the sofa, effectively cornering her. She occasionally sends some jabs his way, but most of the time he is the aggressor. They've been exploring the house alone for the most part, and she seems way more confident when he is not around. The only interactions they have now are when they occasionally nose boop each other, and when they fight. I'm very scared for Praline as she keeps getting bullied by Pinto, and shes way smaller than him.
With all this in mind, we think they actually are not a bonded pair. We're going to run an experiment tomorrow to see if they are not bonded by separating the two and seeing how they react. Pinto will continue to stay in the room we've kept them in, while Praline will spend the day with my fiancee either in his office or in the bedroom.
If they both react well then our opinion would be that they aren't actually bonded, which would mean we will probably have to bring Pinto back to the shelter. I hate the idea of bringing him back (It took an hour of crying to get to this point), and I do genuinely feel sad for him, but we really bonded with Praline and if he's a threat to her well being and makes her feel unsafe in her home, then I think he needs to go back.
Has anyone else had an experience similar to this? Is it common for cats to seem bonded but then actually fight (not just play fight) when they get home? Am I an asshole for wanting to bring one of them back to protect the other?
Sorry if this post has been kind of rambley, the cats fighting has really stressed me out, and combined with other stuff my brain is a potato (baked).
PS: I thought of this after writing the bulk of this post but don't know where to put it. Praline is super friendly whereas Pinto wants nothing to do with us most of the time.

Alright so, I found this song acouple years ago, maybe about mid 2020 to 2021, at first I found it in a "upcoming games" video, thought at one point I came back to the video and that section of the video was completely cut off, I then found it as a background song in this YouTube video

Hello all - I'm currently operating a CDM32+C3500 for a musical theatre show.
Into the DX1/2 port are two DX168 boxes, set up to cascade (I made sure to connect each directly to update their firmware), and into the me port I have three ME1s linked together.
On the main screen, I am seeing gigaACE A with a tick and B with a cross, as well as Power 1 and 2. My question is - is this just displaying the fact that my CDM32 doesn't have a redundant power supply/gigaACE connection?
Adding to this - one during setting up, the surface blanked out and said lost connection to the mix rack. Best course of action would be to switch out the cable? Thanks in advance :)

779 A.C. Scandinavia, Skinwalker Clan Stronghold
Two women stood outside the great hall as their servants and advisors looked over their dresses and appearances one last time. They wore their crowns. One had dark ginger hair with dark bright eyes. The other had dark blonde hair and bright white eyes. When given the approval, they looked in each other’s eyes and smiled at each other.
The blonde asked, “Are you ready for this, my Chieftainess?”
Chieftainess replied, “Yes, my Queen. We should get this over with.” The Chieftainess looked at the high advisor before she continued. “High Advisor, announce us.”
The High Advisor put his fist across his chest. “As you command, Chieftainess.” The High Advisor said.
He turned and walked towards the doors of the great hall as the guards opened them. He walked to the center of the room as those already in the great hall became silent and looked towards him.
The Chieftainess and her Queen walked in the main hall as he began to speak. “I present to you all Chieftainess Elsha Ulfsdottir, the daughter of wolves, most favored by Lord Odin, the shield breaker, and first of her name. As well as Queen Chara Frydenlund the faithful and last of her name.” The High Advisor said.
Elsha and Chara made their way to the two thrones sitting at the far end of the great hall. Those in the room would salute them as they passed by. When they made it to their thrones, they turned to face everyone, and they sat down. The High Advisor approached them.
Elsha said, “Let’s get this started, High Advisor.”
“As you command, Chieftainess. I present to you Birger Unfrid the Brave.” The High Advisor said.
Birger Unfrid walked and stood in front of Elsha and Chara. He saluted them.
Elsha said, “I know why you are here, Birger. You come to fulfill the oath that the former Chieftain had with
your father to give him our blessings for and expedition to find lands across the great sea. Your father passed away, and you are going to fulfill that dream. To honor the oath, I give you my blessings for your expedition and may Lord Odin himself watch over your endeavors.”
“I appreciate your blessings, Chieftainess, but I think you are mistaken in the oath that your father gave to mine.” Birger said.
“Mind your tongue, whelp.” The High Advisor said.
“I mean no offense towards you or your queen, Chieftainess. The oath was that he would lend his entire fleet and able bodies to the expedition.” Birger said.
Elsha raised her hand to silence everyone as she spoke, “I along with my queen and advisors will review the oath. If it is as you say that it is, I will lend to your expedition our entire fleet. Also, the entire clans, including my queen and myself, will accompany you and your clan on this expedition of yours. If not, you will leave my great hall with my blessings alone. You shall have our answer in three days. You and your kin are welcomed to stay until then.”
“Thank you, Chieftainess. I look forward to your answer.” Birger said as he saluted and started to leave.
Elsha said, “Oh, one more thing, Birger. If we do this, your clan must pledge allegiances to my queen and I alone. We are in charge, and everyone will listen to us. Do I make myself clear?”
Birger was shocked. “Yes, Chieftainess. It will be as you command.” Birger quickly replied before he saluted once more and left with his kin.
The great hall doors shut.
Present Day, Tokyo, Japan, An apartment
There was a sudden knock on a bedroom door. A girl groaned as she slowly woke up. She looked at the time and it was eight thirty in the morning. She reached over and grabbed her inhaler and took a couple deep breaths from it.
“Ohayo, Chaisa. Happy birthday. I know that it is summer break, but we have an important visitor who has legal matters with all of us. Please, get dressed and come to the kitchen as soon as you can.” The woman at the door said.
Chaisa groaned in protest and said, “Ohayo and ariagatou, Okasan. I will be there in a few minutes.”
“Hurry up and don’t forget to take your pills.” Chaisa’s mom said.
Chaisa screamed as she got out of bed, “I won’t forget!”
Chaisa quickly got dressed and put on her glasses. She went to the bathroom and filled a cup with water. Chaisa took a sip of water and swallowed her pills. She brushed her teeth and combed her hair. Chaisa headed towards the kitchen where she could hear her mother talking to a man. For some reason, the voice sound familiar to her. She walked to the dining room and was stunned when she saw the man. He looked exactly like the man from her dream. Except, he had a business suit on and not a Viking outfit. Chaisa noticed that her little sister was holding a black stone with some type of symbol on it. When her little sister saw her, she put the stone on the table and ran over to her. She hugged Chaisa around her waist and looked up at her.
“Ohayo, Onee-Chan. Happy Birthday!” Chaisa’s sister said as she smiled brightly at her.
Chaisa smiled as she hugged her sister back and said, “Ohayo, Akahana-Chan. Thank you.”
“He, he, he,” Akana laughed.
“Good morning, Chaisa. I am sorry to bother you on this important day. Let me introduce myself. I am Birger Unfrid, and I have come a long way to meet you and your family.” Birger took a deep breath before he continued. “Kaede, would you please hold the stone for one moment, please?” Birger said.
“Umm…sure. I would be happy to.” Kaede replied as she picked up the stone.
She held it in her palm with the symbol facing her. After a few moments of nothing happening, Kaede handed the stone back to Birger. He took it from her and looked at Chaisa while she couldn’t help from feeling a sense of Deja-vu. Chaisa noticed that he was staring at her.
“Chaisa, don’t be rude. Come and sit down with us.” Kaede said as she looked at her.
Chaisa blushed and said, “Oh right. I am sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude.”
Chaisa sat down and put her hands on her lap as Akahana stood between Chaisa and Kaede.
Birger held out the stone to Chaisa. “I know that this might seem unusual. Please, humor me for a moment by holding this stone for a few minutes before we get started with why I am here.” Birger said.
Chaisa looked at her mother. Kaede nodded. She sighed as she slowly took the stone out of his hand and held it in her right hand. She was drawn to look at the weird symbol on the stone. Chaisa was amazed with how familiar the stone felt and looked, but she couldn’t put her finger on why. Suddenly, the symbol began to pulse as she felt a slight pain in her forehead. The stone started to turn a milky color before shinning a bright white light. Chaisa blinked, and the stone was back to normal. She looked at Akahana and Kaede, but they didn’t seem to notice. She looked at Birger as she reached out to hand the stone back to him. Chaisa noticed the shocked look on his face like he did notice. He took the stone from her as he set his briefcase on the table. Birger opened it and put the stone up before he pulled out some papers and a pen. He set the briefcase aside as he put the papers down in front of him. Then, he looked at Akahana, Chaisa, and Kaede.
Birger folded his hands on top of the paper. “I really do appreciate you welcoming me into your home, and I want to apologize once more for the unannounced visit to your home.” Birger said.
Kaede waved her hand. “There is no need to apologize. I am sorry for the state of my home. It must be quite a mess. You said that you had business concerning my late husband.” Kaede said.
“Yes, of course. I want to extend my condolences for the loss of your husband. I am sure that he was a loving husband and father. But I am sorry for the confusion. The business doesn’t pertain to him specifically, but a distant relative of his who recently passed away. How much do you know about his family?” Birger said.
“I appreciate your kind words. He was a very loving husband to me and cared for our daughters very much.” Kaede paused for a second as she thought before she continued. “I really don’t know much about his family line. He said that he came from Scandinavia or something like that. He never called them, and they never came to visit. Why do you ask?” Kaede replied.
Akahana climbed onto Chaise’s lap as they continued to listen to them speak.
“It is true that he and much of his direct family lived in Scandinavia for a long time. But he had a
Distant relative who lived in Canada that was rich and owned a considerable amount of land. That relative recently passed away from an unknown illness, and they left your family their entire fortune, home, and land. However, there are some criteria that must be met before all of it will be passed on to you all.” Birger replied.
Chaisa interrupted by asking, “What are those criteria that you referenced?”
Birger looked at Chaisa. “The criteria is that you all agree to move to Canada to become the legal landowners. The fortune will also be signed over to you all as well at that time.” Birger replied.
“What happens if we refuse to accept these conditions?” Kaede asked.
Birger shifted uneasy in his seat as he looked at Kaede. “The money will be seized by the local government, the home torn down, land auctioned off, and the last of your husband’s legacy lost forever.” Birger said.
Chaisa asked quickly, “What if we say yes? Then what?”
Birger smiled as he looked at Chaisa and Akahana. “If you all agree; all of your and your father’s medical bills will paid in full. Your belongings will be shipped to your new home. You all will never have want or have to scrape by. You all will begin a new life in a new home and have servants who will take care of all of your needs.” Birger held the papers before he continued. “By signing these papers, you enter into a legal obligation to fulfill all of the conditions. Then, everything will be taken care of from there.” Birger replied.
“If I sign those, when would we leave?” Kaede asked.
“If you sign these, your all will be on a plane to your new home on Thursday morning. Then, the following Monday, you have a job interview with the mayor of the town.” Birger replied.
Chaisa asked, “Do we have to decide now, or do we have a few days to decide?’ “Unfortunately, once I leave your apartment today, the inheritance will be lost forever. So, I need your
answers today.” Birger stood up before he continued. “Pardon me. I need to use your bathroom to give you all time to decide.” Birger replied.
“Of course, take your time, and thank you.” Kaede said.
Birger waved at them before he closed the door and locked it. Chaisa and Kaede leaned towards one
another to get close.
“What do you all think?” Kaede whispered.
Chaisa whispered, “It will be tough for Akahana-Chan and me to leave everything that we know, and this sounds too good to be true. But… it would be great to see you a lot stressed out and worrying so much. It would also be good to know something more about dad’s past. I say… let’s go for it.’
“Me too.” Akahana said as she smiled brightly.
“Are you sure? You are almost a year from graduating high school.” Kaede whispered.
Chaisa nodded as she whispered, “I am sure, Okaasan. I think that a new place could be good for all of us to start over. Maybe, Canada will do all of us good.”
Kaede smiled. “I agree. We should go for it and leave all of our woes behind. I will tell him yes when he gets back. Would you like some coffee? I just brewed it before you got up.” Kaede said as she got up.
Chaisa smiled and replied, “That would be great. Thank you Okaasan.”
Kaede went to the kitchen and took out a mug out of a cabinet. She put creamer and sugar in the mug. Then, Kaede poured coffee into the mug before she stirred the coffee. She brought the mug to Chaisa as Birger unlocked and opened the bathroom door. He walked out towards the dining room. He sat down at the same time that Kaede did.
Birger looked at them. “So, what did you all decide on the matter?” Birger asked.
Kaede looked at Chaisa. She nodded, and Kaede looked back at him. “We have decided to accept the inheritance.” Kaede replied.
Birger smiled. “I am happy to hear that. I just need you to sign these papers.” Birger said as he passed the papers and pen to Kaede.
Kaede took the papers and pen away from Birger. She went over the paperwork as he went over the paperwork with her. Birger would point where Kaede would have to sign. After she was done
signing where she had to, Kaede passed the paperwork to him. Birger looked over the paperwork. When he was satisfied, Birger took the pen from Kaede. He put the paperwork and pen back into his briefcase, closed it, and grabbed it as he stood up. Kaede stood up as well.
Chaisa asked, “What now?”
“Now, you all must pack your bags for what you all will need to take with you. The movers and plane tickets will be sent over later today. I hope you have a great birthday, Chaisa, and best of luck in your new home.” Birger said.
Kaede began to walk Birger out the front door before Chaisa asked, “Wait, where are we moving to in Canada?”
Birger smiled. “I believe it is a little town called Hunangsfall.” Birger replied before he walked out the front door.
As he walked away, Kaede closed the door behind him. When he heard the door closed, Birger smiled and faded away. They decided to start to pack just in case it was true after they had finished eating breakfast. After they had cleaned up from breakfast, Kaede received a phone call from the hospital informing her that all of her medical bills had been paid for. They were shocked, so they started to pack in earnest. After lunch, a courier came with an envelope marked “Urgent”. Kaede opened it and found their plane tickets and itinerary. Kaede contacted their landlord, and he informed them that everything was already taken care of. She just needs to drop her keys off before they leave and wished them luck before they hung up. Chaisa began to help Akahana start to pack her bags, when they heard a knock on the apartment door. Kaede opened the door to discover a moving company was there to start to pack their belongings. Kaede, Chaisa, and Akahana finished packing their bags and watched over the packers. The packers were careful as they packed Chaisa’s father’s shrine and urn. Just before dinner, everything was packed in boxes and had been taken out of the apartment. They looked around their apartment and were amazed on how it looked so bare and empty without all of their belongings in it. They had to throw out the remainder of the food, because they had nothing to cook it with. They decided to eat out as it was Chaisa’s birthday, and it was their last night there. Kaede wanted to let. Chaisa decide where they eat at, but she decided to let Akahana decide. They ate at Burger Palace, and each got a slice of pie for Chaisa’s birthday. When they got home, Chaisa and Akahana took turns calling their friends to let them know that they were moving the next day. Chaisa wrote down her friends’ social media information and helped Akahana get her friends’ numbers. It was soon time for them to go to bed. They changed, brushed their teeth, and Chaisa took her pills as Kaede set an alarm clock for them to get up on time. Then, Chaisa and Kaede laid out a blanket for them to share that evening. Akahana laid down between Chaisa and Kaede. Chaisa put her glasses where she could reach them, but they were safe from harm. They told each other good night. Akahana was the first person to fall asleep. Soon, Kaede had fallen asleep. But, Chaisa felt like she would never fall asleep before it was time to go to the airport. Her eyelids slowly became heavy, and she slipped into a vivid dream.

Elsha and Chara laid cuddling in bed with just a thick fur blanket covering them. Elsha noticed that Chara was having trouble following asleep. Elsha looked at Chara and kissed her lips.
Elsha was concerned as she asked, “What troubles your heart so much that keeps you from fallen asleep, my love?”
Chara nuzzled Elsha as she replied, “It’s this whole exploration. I don’t know if it was wise of us to accept it.”
Elsha asked, “What do you mean? The High Father Odin has personally blessed our voyage.”
Chara replied, “I know and that’s not what bothers me. Everyone knows that the world is flat and is surrounded by a vast ocean. What if we sail and find nothing but endless ocean or the edge of the
world. Then, our voyage would be for not.”
Elsha silently rubbed Chara’s back before she responded, “It could happen and most likely be true. We sail for eternity and eventually come to Jörmungandr. We would just turn around and come back home knowing more about our world than ever before.” Elsha paused before she continued. “However, what if there is more out there than we could ever expect. What if we find new lands during our travels and new people to blunder. It would make us the first of our kin to sail farther than anyone else ever has. Wouldn’t that be worth it?”
Chara smiled as she sat up to look down at Elsha. Her hair fell around her face, and they giggled before Chara kissed Elsha’s lips. She replied, “Yes, it would be worth it. Besides, we gave Birger our oath. If we back out now, we will be known as oath breakers and be cursed by the gods for all time.”
Elsha smiled as she brushed Chara’s hair out of her face before flipping her onto her back. Chara laughed as Elsha climbed on top of her. Their bodies touching each other’s as they passionately kissed. Some time later, they were cuddling once more as they breathed heavily and were covered in sweat. Elsha laid behind Chara as she kissed the tattoo going sown her back.
Chara said as she sighed happily, “I love you, my Chieftainess, and I will follow you to the ends of the earth.”
Elsha smiled and said, “And, I love you, my Queen, and I will walk with you the entire way to the edge of eternity.”
They soon fell fast asleep as they held each other close.
Present Day, Tokyo, Japan, the next morning
Chaisa woke up groggily the next morning from the sound of Kaede’s alarm clock going off. They slowly woke up as they got up. Chaisa used her inhaler and took her medicine. She went to the bathroom and got dressed. Chaisa helped Akahana get ready as Kaede was getting ready as well. Chaisa put on her glasses before she packed all of her stuff away. They made sure that they had everything packed and wouldn’t leave anything that they would need before they grabbed their stuff and walked out of the apartment. Kaede closed the door behind them and locked it for the last time. They made their way downstairs where Kaede placed their keys into an envelope with their apartment number on it. Then, she placed the envelope in the drop box. They walked out to the street and made their way to the subway. They got on the subway train and rode it to Tokyo International Airport. When it arrived, they got off the train and made their way into the airport. They went to the check in station and checked in their check in luggage at the counter. Then, they went through security and made their way to their terminal. They realized that they still had some time before boarding call, so they made their way to a Konbini to get breakfast. Shortly after they had eaten, it was boarding time. They realized that their tickets were first class, so they loaded first. They had three seats near a window. Akahana wanted to sit near the window. So, it was Akana, Chaisa in the middle seat, and Kaede had the isle seat. They followed all instructions as they put their seatbelts on.
Chaisa asked, “Akahana-Chan, are you excited about your first time to fly in an airplane?”
Akahana looked at Chaisa as she smiled brightly. “Yes, Onee-Chan. I am very excited.” Akahana said.
Chaisa smiled and said, “That’s good. Me too.” Chaisa looked at Kaede before she continued. “What about you, Okaasan?”
Kaede looked at Chaisa and Akahana as she smiled. “I am excited because you two are excited. But this isn’t my first time flying. I have flown from one side of Japan to the other, but this is my first time out of Japan.” Kaede replied.
Soon, the pilot’s voice could be heard over the airplane’s intercom system as the plane backed out of the terminal. The flight attendants checked everyone’s seat belts, seats, and tray tables as the airplane approached the runaway. Then, they made their way to their seats and buckled in. The airplane began to gain speed as it barreled down the runway. Soon, it lifted off of the ground and climbed higher in to the early morning sky as it climbed higher and higher. It flew towards the west with the rising sun behind them. After forty-five minutes, the flight attendants came around with refreshments. Chaisa started to feel motion sickness and just wanted a seltzer. When the seltzer arrived, she used it to take her motion sickness pills. Chaisa put her glasses on her tray table before she leaned her seat back. Akahana started to watch a movie, and Kaede read a book as Chaisa slowly fell asleep while listening to calming music. She was soon dreaming once more.

Open on Precinct 01 in downtown Neo-America City. The bullpen is full of officers mulling around and pretending to work. There was no crime on the schedule until the afternoon so the morning shift was basically an exercise in trying to stay awake. The front door open and Blade Cop glides in to the room; her outfit noticeably free of perp-blood but with mysterious brown stains on her legs. A putrid odor follows her into the room, emitting visible stink-lines. As the stench washes over the closest officers they turn to her in disgust and retch, moments before dissolving into a pile of bones. The other officers jump from their desks and back away. A sergeant hurries ahead of her path and throws his hands out. “Hold on detective!”
Katarina stops abruptly and gives him a quizzical look. “What’s the problem sergeant?”
He gestures behind her to the piles of bones and holds his nose shut. “I think you may have stepped in something sinister.”
She looks down to her laser-blades and notices the grotesque stains on her jeans. She bends over slightly and sniffs, detecting the faint aroma of souls crying in agony. “Sorry about that Sarge, I must have gotten used to it,” she says, as a perfectly reasonable explanation for her immunity to the highly caustic smell.
“Just hang on a minute until we can get the haz-bot out and figure out what’s going on there.”
On cue(sitcoms abhor dead air), an awkward robot clomps into the room on two poorly designed feet. It angles towards the sergeant who points at Kat. The robot shuffles towards her in a straight line, plowing desks out of the way carelessly. As it approaches a slot opens on its chest and a sensor array emerges. It immediately begins flashing red lights as it announces “Biohazard detected, threat level: STANK”. Seconds later the robot begins to jerk erratically and then explodes.
“Damn,” Kat remarks, “it overloaded the sensors so much the thing just blew up?”
The sergeant looks at her curiously. “Who would design a sensor that explodes from doing the one thing it was made for? No, its single use only. Captain hates having used equipment in the precinct. Anyway, you gotta get down to de-con and take those things off. Maybe we can fast track them on a rocket to the sun for disposal.”
Kat grimaces “The blades stay on sergeant,” she says firmly and with a twinge of anger.
The sergeant furrows their brow for a moment and then rolls his eyes. “Ahh, sorry. I didn’t realize you were that blade cop.”
“The Blade Cop”, she corrects, a bit too insecurely.
“Well what did you blade through? Whatever it is we can’t have it just lying around the city.”
“No worries there sarge, was on assignment down in the sub-city.” They look at her in shock as she continues, “Was delivering a new commendation to Detective Plopton. Must have trudged through a puddle or two of liquid nightmare.”
“Liquid nightmare, of course. The irrecuperable final waste product that gets spit out of the bottom of the city.” They state, expositionally. “Well we’ve got to clean this up somehow.”
Kat shrugs, “Let’s get to it.”
:Generic sitcom montage music begins:
Transition to Kat standing over a drainage grate in the precincts showers. A garden hose is stuffed into the ankles of each of her blades. The sergeant twists both the spigots open fully and the water floods into her blades. The runoff begins to pour out of them, void-black. The camera zooms into the blackness until it occupies the whole frame.
The sergeant grasps a large pair of industrial tongs, holding together a taped bundle of cheap air-fresheners. They cautiously guide them towards Kat’s blades. As they get within a foot they start to smoke. Before they can make contact they burst into flames and crumble to ash.
Kat stares in disgust at something off camera. As we pan over, we see the sergeant holding a pair of clean white tennis shoes. It pans back and Kat gives two thumbs down.
The shower scene resumes and we see Kat playing two-tris(the unlicensed future version of Tetris) on her wrist-com. The sergeant is nodding off while leaning against the wall. It’s obvious some hours have passed. They both glance down to the run-off, which shows no sign of diluting. They shrug in sync and we transition again.
The sergeant, but in a white lab coat, gestures at a drawing board. On it are poorly drawn images of Kat. An extra pair of laser-bladed legs from the knee down is grafted to her knees. A second picture shows her original legs chopped off and tossed into a box marked “To: Sun”. They both stroke their chins, pondering for a moment before the sergeant flips the board over in frustration.
A shoe-shining robot shuffles into a room. Kat is sitting on a bench with her blades out and gives the robot an inquisitive, hopeful smile. The robot glances to the rancid blades, flips open a panel on its arm, and presses its self-destruct button.
:Montage music ends:
“I guess we’ll never get them clean.” Kat sighs in exaggerated disappointment.
“I mean, we tried everything,” the sergeant replies, “guess you’ll have to transfer to the sub-city.”
They stand in silent defeat for a few moments before a shrill desk phone rings. An officer picks it up and has a short, unheard conversation before hanging up. They hop to their feet and turn towards the pair in alarm. “Sergeant! The soap factory in city zone T exploded. The whole district is flooded in two feet of hyper-concentrated Sudz™!. They need boots on the ground ASAP.”
The sergeant and Kat exchange glances. “Boots? How about a pair of blades?” They jump up and Katarina skates to them for an enthusiastic high-five, having forgotten the main plot point this episode. The sergeant screams and collapses into a pile of smoldering bones.
Kat looks at the officer and says, unapologetically, “Oops!”

Hi all,
I finally bit the bullet last week, dragged myself over to a stereo store to buy some Real Proper speakers that would both not drive me insane like my 10+ years old Bose Soundlink Colour bluetooth thing and, while I'm at it, actively give me the kind of sound I personally enjoy.
After listening to a bunch of different ones at the store and discussing with the salesman, I ended up with Klipsch The Fives. I really liked their sound in the store, they sounded rich and detailed and weren't pushing voices out, but when I set them up at home it became immediately obvious that, in this space, they're unlistenable. Beyond harsh or fatiguing or grating on my ears, they just actively hurt them and, perhaps psychosomatically, set off some ringing/tinnitus in my right ear. (I was also kind of annoyed by how the bass seemed stronger than the rest of the sound, but that might also have had to do with the.....I called it "top end" in my head, it might actually be more like the decay? would that be the word? of the bass somehow also falling under the overbright parts of the sound.)
Now, I know from the Googling I've been doing over the weekend that you are going to tell me to try fixing things about my space. I am here to tell you that I'm not going to do that. If it's purely for optimization, maybe, but I am really looking for speakers that aren't so finicky they rely on me going out to buy a rug and testing angle increments for them to be listenable.
These were the three key things I told the salesguy I was looking for from the sound (largely developed based on what annoys me about my current ones):

1. Not too bright/steely/sharp/whatever you want to call it (ironic that I ended up with the Klipsch, my Googling tells me, also partially why I'm asking you guys first before heading back). I listen to a lot of violin and my current speakers have been driving me insane on those. Violins and choirs recorded in reverb-y spaces, churches presumably, in particular become unlistenable.
2. I really like to hear detail. And I would like to be able to hear it without worrying about the neighbours being able to hear it along with me. At any given moment there is a roughly 70% chance I am listening to Joanna Newsom, but I only really listen to through my (cheap, not particularly amazing) earphones because the Bose just shoves her voice out front and shoves everything else into the nebulous background and I think we can all agree that's not the ideal Joanna listening experience.
3. Closeness? Beyond detail, I tend to prefer listening through earphones because the music feels so much more intimate. There's a real impact that's lost in the sound coming out of my speakers. There's a certain degree, I'm sure, to which "mini speakers shoved right into your ear" provides a closeness of sound that speakers will never be able to replicate, but as much as possible, you know.

The other relevant factors would be:

1. I don't want to buy a separate system for watching TV, so this needs to be able to hook up to it in some way.
2. This is going in my living room on opposite sides of my TV, which is right in front of an inner wall and about 2.5/3m away from my couch. Everything that is not my bedroom or the bathroom is one space. If I had to wager a guess, roughly 3x8m is the max space I would be trying to fill, but mostly just trying to get the sound from the speakers to my couch.
3. I live in a condo, one of my walls is entirely glass. That window-wall is basically at a 90-degree angle from the direction the speakers would be facing in. This is a fact of life.
4. I listen to music mostly off my computer, connected either via aux cord or bluetooth. Mixture of Spotify and my iTunes collection of ripped CDs and downloads. I would like to have the option of getting more fancy and maybe digging out some of my CDs, maybe even one day add a turntable.

Extra considerations:

• You know how some music you have a sense each instrument was recorded in a tiny box space and others in a larger black void? I like to have that sense. I consider this under detail/closeness, but in stereo system terms it might be something different.
• I am constantly fiddling with volume and I am also deeply lazy, so a remote of some kind would be appreciated, but I can live without it.
• Active or passive is fine, but I don't know anything about anything, so if I need components beyond speakers, some input on what those components are and which specific ones would match well would be deeply appreciated.
• I am in Canada (Toronto, to be precise). I'd prefer to stay under CAD $1000, but am willing to go up to $1500 if I can hear a noticeable difference. (I don't think I have particularly distinguished ears, so feel free to tell me that level of quality is wasted on them and I may as well pay less.)

My main fear here is that with the other sounds going on in the store (or just the different space), I wasn't able to hearecognize the brightness on the Klipsch speakers, so I can't trust I won't just run into the same issue again. So I guess I'm basically hoping you guys can suggest some options that won't give me this problem, or at least which ones I would outright want to avoid.
I am a very good internet researcher, but I cannot decode stereo review speak nor gauge to what degree the things they mention would be an issue to anyone who doesn't have elite hearing. So thank you very, very much in advance for any wisdom and guidance you are able to provide me. (And my apologies for the wall of text.)

Today was my first full day without my soul mate...
I went to work. Same old, same old.
Around 1pm, he called me. He sounded so defeated and miserable. My heart aches for what he's going through. I found out he has to quarantine for 5 days.. alone basically. Aside from the occasional federal prison inmate that is in and out of the room...
He said he's allowed to leave his cell between 1p and 2p and that's it. Are you fucking kidding me? Did he commit a misdemeanor crime or murder? This shit sounds like solitary confinement. My heart and stomach hurt thinking about how much he's suffering for such a minor crime, and because the judge has a vendetta against him. Fucking bull shit.
We talked for 15 minutes (that's the maximum, smdh). He called his mom. Then called me back. By that time, it was almost 2pm and they told him to wrap it up. He's cold. He's in a plain, white box, alone, no book, tv, music, paper, pencil. NOTHING. Yea, this is a great form of "REHABILITATION". My fucking ass. No wonder people come out crazy. This is the fucking opposite of rehabilitation. This is cruel.
I am a strong. I am fucking strong. But he makes me weak.. I cannot imagine how maddening this could be for him.
And then there's his parents. His mom hasn't slept, his father is so distraught, he can't even look at me. He doesn't know what to do with himself. I almost saw his mom come to tears just thinking about seeing his face on a video call that she has set up tomorrow. My heart breaks for them.
We have 2 dogs. I work 10 hour days, and am basically away from the home for 12 hours. His lovely mom drove 30 minutes to come take care of our dogs. Her heart broke seeing how sad and mopey they were. So, she took them to her house. Man this made my pups so happy. I was honestly worried about their broken hearts - not seeing their dad.
My kids........... I joke that I acquired his 4 children about a year ago. They moved into my house.. and took it over.. and I'm not mad 1 bit. I LOVE THEM as if they were my own. And they love me. But I have 0 rights in this matter, so I don't know when exactly I'll see them again. This breaks my heart and I know it's breaking his.. because they are not safe there. They are not loved over there.
But there's nothing I can do except try and reach out to my daughter through her phone, every day.

Planning to build a subwoofer or two for my home system which will also be the system for a Hauptwerk organ project. I want to be able to feel the 32' stops when playing or listening to organ music - 16Hz bottom C. A 12" Dayton ultimax has an f3 of 22Hz in a 2 cubic foot vented box. 18" ultimax has f3 = 20Hz in a 6 cubic foot vented box. Either will reach down and give e something on that bottom C when they are played but will the 12" (or 2) deliver anything like experience of hearing/playing a substantial pipe organ? The room is 20x20 with 10 ft ceiling. The amp I'll be using is a peavey ipr2 3000 watt I picked up for $300 on Amazon used and not working when I got it, but after opening the case, it was an easy fix. So the power should be there. I do listen to a lot of classical besides organ music but also a wide variety of other music including rock, heavy metal, punk, pop, edm, etc. But accurate sound is the goal vs just boom.

While I've been hacking an education with youtube and other online resources linked in this subreddit, I'd also like to earn a BA to "check the box" in applying/auditioning for a movie/tv/commerical composer position. Please advise on a suitable online program!
Also, if you have any general career advice, feel free to shoot it over. I'm wondering if a degree is even worth it or if one can get by with just a portfolio and networking. Thanks!

I won’t judge you but drug use is a deal breaker for me unless it’s occasional pot use for medicinal purposes. As a whole, I definitely seek a partner that will make me smile, make me laugh, support me, respect me and shares some of my values and beliefs. I know no one can tick off all of my boxes cause no one is a perfect fantasy. I just want you to tick off enough to where there’s enough chemistry to make a healthy long lasting relationship.

also want to list a few dealbreakers cause I do know what I want and what I don’t want. Mainly my biggest deal breakers are if you want/already have kids, don’t want true commitment, have an immature/low confidence attitude, or if you don’t have enough of your life together. By that I mean if you currently have a lot of drama or just too many chaotic things going on to where you don’t have the time to devote to someone to form a true connection. Also being a big workaholic puts me off as well. I do understand how a job you’re super passionate about can be a big part of your life but I just don’t want someone who puts more effort into their career than a relationship. When it comes down to everything, I just want someone who is able to strike a good balance between work and family and friends and everything else. That’s really all I ask for.

I'm the lead sound engineer in a musical production in a relatively small venue. The show has around 25-30 total actors and a live pit orchestra. 18 of the actors have Countrymen E6s. 10 of them are plugged into Audio-Technica ATW-T1001s, 6 of them are plugged into Audio-Technica ATW-T701s borrowed from a nearby elementary school (the joys of low budget local theater!), and the remaining 2 are plugged into Shure BLX1 H9s. I'm running the show on an Allen Heath QU-32 board, the actor mics are in channels 1 thru 18 with one mix running through the main sound system and another mix for three small monitors in the pit orchestra, both mixes are properly synced. I don't know anything about the brand or model of any of the speakers as the sound system was recently replaced and the monitors are being rented from a local AV store and I haven't gotten around to asking anyone what type they are.
Yesterday, two of the E6s on the T1001s started "clipping" the audio as if the gate was set way too high. Their settings on the board were fine so we reset the receivers and changed the mic batteries and that seemed to fix the problem. Today the same two mics had the same problem. This time there were three more mics that had the same problem, all of which were T1001s. There was some peaking but it was rare and most of it was attributed to the gain, but some of it was caused for no discernible reason. Me, my assistant, and the two tech directors spent at least three hours today trying to solve this and we couldn't come to any sort of conclusion but we do have some theories.

1. The pit orchestra is facing the audience, so the monitors in the pit are facing the stage. The E6s are omni mics and our E6s have been in use here for anywhere from six to fifteen years, so they're notoriously shit by now. As far as I know that each mic pack was purchased at the same time as an E6 and the mics and mic packs have stayed together. The ages and conditions of the E6s match their packs. Our leading theory is that the monitors from the pit are somehow causing either signal interference (we did hear a high pitched frequency coming over the lead actress' mic as she was near a speaker) or the fact that its blasting all of the audio at a bunch of shit omni mics with no windscreens (It was not my decision to have no windscreens. The director insisted they were inferior and didn't order any. I paid $80 of my own money for windscreens. They vanished the next day and the director insists he knows nothing about it. Lesson learned I guess)
2. All of the mics that had problems were the ATW1001s. Eight of the ten are connected to four receiver boxes located inside of the sound booth. They have signal extenders that sit outside the window of the booth and they usually work fine, but I'm starting to suspect that they might be responsible for some part of this. For reference, the receivers for the other 10 mics are located in a cabinet in the back of the venue (its left open during productions) and I have yet to have this problem with any of those mics. Might be just a coincidence, but a previous problem we had of a low frequency buzz coming thru some of the mics was seemingly caused by them. By coincidence, I had read that having signal extenders sitting in the vicinity of live wires can cause feedback and so I moved them further away on the windowsill from the wires of the sound and light boards. After that, there was no more hum. I was not a fan of moving the receivers into the booth, we had far fewer problems with the mics when they were in the cabinet with the rest of the receivers, but the irritating tech support guy installed them there without telling me because the technologically-impaired chorus director told him that it was better to have the receivers in the booth and I can't fight it because the chorus director has authority over me.
3. It's also entirely possible that due to the extended existence of some of these older mics that they may just be dying entirely. We really have no idea of the exact ages of the mics we're using as 6 of them don't belong to us and the other 12 were purchased by the old director who retired last year after 20 years so he naturally didn't respond when we tried to reach out to him to find out. The general assumption is that at least half of the 12 mics that belong to us are at least a decade old, and have been therefore have been thru a decade of both natural wear and tear and brutal mismanagement by actors. Our biggest indicator was the fact that last week we discovered that two of our mic transmitters were transmitting at a frequency of 644 mHz, which has been illegal since 2010 as the FCC prohibits civilian transmitters from transmitting above 600 mHz, as frequencies above that are reserved for government use only. This means, under the hopeful assumption that the previous director didn't buy illegal mics, that they were purchased before 2010. We know that six of the other mics were purchased at the same time as the two illegal ones (their frequencies are all legal though somehow) which means at least half of the mics are from 2009 or earlier. We had to take down our ceiling mics last year because they stopped working because of the wear and tear and mistreatment, and those were installed in 2014.
