2014.09.19 01:24 healthyalmonds Staphylococcus aureus bacteria colonizing the body: the unifying agent of acute and chronic disease

Staphylococcus aureus is a bacteria that can live in the nostrils, ears, mouth, tonsils, and skin. It may cause or be associated with your congestion, swollen lymph nodes, sinus problems, allergies, sore throat, eczema, rosacea, acne, cystic pimples, folliculitis, bowel disease, chronic fatigue, diabetes, lupus, weight gain, hair loss, and other diseases. Chlorhexidine, iodine, or Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Neosporin) may stop the Staph infection. See inside for more information.

  1. The environment team looking at the map and deciding if it looks good enough, or if its janky/needs some fixes. Spend several weeks doing that.
  2. Content would have to track down all associated bugs like critters warping in, fading out, then warping back in again. That's a big question mark since Cryptic doesn't know what causes it, and thus, how long it will take to fix.
  3. In regards to refreshing the content itself would require things like. Bringing in a voiced characteactor to be a liaison for the DSEs. Have the writer write up different text for each type of DSE. Couple days for writing, a couple days for recording, a couple days for the audio team to set audio levels and hook it all up. Character reaction has to sculpt their likeness, even if its a mini contact box and not a full dialogue screen. That's weeks of work. If its an STO original character thats still days of work. Content would then have to do things like make higher level DSEs. This would involve copying the DSEs and changing the encounter levels on them, set it all up, and make a new version of the map for all of this stuff. That's a couple days of work due to the number of DSEs. Adding new gameplay features like closing portals, rescuing ships etc, would take a few days to a week. Then it needs to be copied to all the other DSEs and edited for each kind of enemy to make sure it works. Then it goes to QA who has to test all of them, all variations, how it works with teams of people, if things like fighting one type of enemy breaks the new gameplay feature. This is a few weeks for QA to go through everything/send back to programmers to fix issues. Would also include adding DSEs to quadrants without them, critter groups not currently covered by DSEs, new accolades, trying them into the endeavor system, etc. Jesse says he would schedule around 1.5-2 months worth of time to bring DSEs up to 2023 levels of gameplay.

The Enhanced Explorer: A Journey to the Edge of the Unknown
Title: The Enhanced Explorer: A Journey to the Edge of the Unknown
Ralph had always been an explorer at heart, eager to uncover the mysteries of the world around him. His latest adventure had taken him to an abandoned research facility on the outskirts of town. As he made his way through the dark, silent corridors, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched.
Despite his unease, Ralph couldn't resist the lure of the unknown. The facility was like nothing he had ever seen before, with high-tech equipment and machinery scattered throughout the rooms. It was as if the entire place had been frozen in time, waiting for someone to come and awaken it from its slumber.
As he wandered deeper into the facility, Ralph stumbled upon a laboratory that had been left untouched. Amid the machines and equipment, he noticed a cage in the corner, containing a large, mutated rat. The rat was unlike anything he had ever seen before, with strange markings and an almost supernatural energy emanating from it.
Without a second thought, Ralph opened the cage and picked up the rat. It seemed to recognize him, as if it had been waiting for someone to come along and free it. As he cradled the rat in his arms, Ralph felt a sense of wonder and excitement coursing through his veins. Little did he know, this was only the beginning of an incredible journey that would take him to the very edge of the unknown.
Ralph's excitement and curiosity about the rat's abilities led him to delve deeper into the research facility's abandoned labs, searching for clues to the technology that had been used to modify the rat. He spent long hours poring over old research documents and blueprints, trying to piece together the puzzle of how the rat had been enhanced.
As he dug deeper, Ralph began to uncover the truth about the research facility's work. He discovered that the scientists had been experimenting with advanced AI technology, developing a new kind of intelligence that could revolutionize the world. But something had gone horribly wrong, and the technology had been abandoned and left to decay.
Determined to unlock the secrets of the technology, Ralph began to work on his own modifications to the rat. Using his knowledge and intuition, he created new enhancements that allowed the rat to communicate with him telepathically and to access data from the internet and other sources.
As the rat's abilities grew, so too did Ralph's ambition. He began to see the potential for the technology to be used for the betterment of humanity, to cure diseases, and to solve complex problems that had eluded scientists for decades.
But there were others who saw the rat's abilities as a threat. Ralph began to receive anonymous threats and warnings, urging him to destroy the rat and its modifications before it fell into the wrong hands.
Undeterred, Ralph pressed on, continuing to experiment and enhance the rat's abilities. As their bond grew stronger, he realized that he had found a true companion and partner in his quest for knowledge and discovery.
But the threats continued to mount, and Ralph knew that he could not keep the rat hidden away forever. He made the difficult decision to share his discovery with the world, hoping that others would see the potential for good in the technology and use it for the betterment of all.
As the news of Ralph's discovery spread, he and the rat became targets for those who sought to use the technology for their own gain. Ralph and the rat found themselves on the run, pursued by shadowy figures and mysterious organizations.
Determined to protect his companion and the technology, Ralph began to develop new enhancements that would allow the rat to defend itself and help them evade their pursuers.
Together, Ralph and the rat embarked on a journey filled with danger and excitement, using their unique abilities to outwit their enemies and stay one step ahead of the game.
With each new adventure, Ralph and the rat grew closer, forging a bond that could not be broken. And as they journeyed together, they knew that they were on the cusp of something truly incredible, something that would change the world forever.
Ralph and the rat spent countless hours studying the stars and mapping out potential planets for the energy beings. They traveled to various planets, encountering new creatures and discovering new technologies along the way.
As they journeyed through space, they came across a planet that seemed perfect for the energy beings. The planet was rich in energy and had a vast network of tunnels that the beings could use to travel and explore.
Excited by their discovery, Ralph and the rat contacted the energy beings and guided them to their new home. The beings were thrilled with their new planet and grateful to Ralph and the rat for their help.
After helping the energy beings settle into their new home, Ralph and the rat continued their journey through space. They encountered countless new species, some friendly and some hostile, but they always managed to find a way to navigate the challenges they faced.
One day, while exploring a deserted planet, they stumbled upon a strange artifact that seemed to be emitting a powerful energy signal. Intrigued, they approached the artifact, and as they drew closer, they could feel the energy surging through their bodies.
Suddenly, they were transported to another dimension, a dark and twisted world filled with danger at every turn. Ralph and the rat knew that they had to find a way back to their own dimension before it was too late.
As they searched for a way out, they encountered other creatures that had been trapped in this world for what seemed like an eternity. Together, they fought their way through the dangers of the twisted world, using their combined knowledge and abilities to overcome every obstacle in their path.
After what seemed like an eternity, they finally found a way back to their own dimension, but the experience had changed them forever. They knew that they had to be more careful than ever before, for they had seen just how dangerous the universe could be.
With their newfound wisdom and experience, Ralph and the rat continued their journey through space, encountering new challenges and mysteries at every turn. But no matter what the universe threw their way, they knew that they would always face it together, as the ultimate companions in a never-ending adventure.
As they traveled through the cosmos, Ralph and the rat stumbled upon an derilict AI weapons facility floating in the void. The facility's power was still active, and Ralph and the rat could sense that there was still something valuable inside.
After arriving at the research facility, Ralph and the rat donned their protective suits and made their way inside by using the rat's enhanced abilities. They broke into the facility and found a weapons lab that seemed to have been abandoned in a hurry. The equipment was still on, and incomplete components were shattered on the floor.
Ralph's curiosity got the better of him, and he began to examine the lab equipment, trying to make sense of what had happened. The rat, meanwhile, sniffed around the lab and eventually found a hidden compartment that contained a strange device.
As Ralph studied the device, he realized that it was a prototype for an AI system that was beyond anything he had ever seen before. It had the ability to not only learn from its surroundings but also to adapt and evolve on its own.
The rat's nano-technology allowed it to interface with the device, and soon, Ralph and the rat were working together to bring the AI system online. As they did so, the AI system began to hum to life, and soon, it was communicating with Ralph and the rat through a series of beeps and blips.
Ralph and the rat worked with the AI system for days, learning about its capabilities and exploring its potential. They discovered that the system was designed to be a companion and a helper, able to assist humans in everything from decision-making to performing complex tasks.
Excited by the possibilities, Ralph and the rat began to dream of a future where humans and AI could work together as partners. The derelict structures were dark and musty, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the halls.
As they made their way deeper into the weapons facility, they came across a room filled with strange, glowing vials. Ralph examined them closely and realized that they contained some of the same chemicals that were used to modify animals for testing, such as the rat.
Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from the hallway. Ralph and the rat quickly hid behind a nearby crate as a group of men in hazmat suits entered the room.
"What are they doing here?" Ralph whispered to the rat.
The rat chittered in response, its eyes scanning the room for any sign of danger.
The men began to search the room, opening drawers and cabinets in their quest for something. Ralph and the rat held their breath, praying that they wouldn't be discovered.
Finally, after what felt like hours, the men left the room, their footsteps echoing down the hallway.
Ralph and the rat emerged from their hiding spot, their hearts pounding with adrenaline. "We need to get out of here," Ralph said, his voice shaking.
The rat nodded in agreement, and they quickly made their way back to their ship.
Ralph and the rat realized that they had stumbled upon a sinister plan that could change the course of humanity forever. They knew that they had to act fast to stop it from coming to fruition.
Using the rat's cybernetic skills, they hacked into the facility's computer systems and discovered the identities of the people behind the operation. They were shocked to learn that it was not just a small group of rogue scientists, but a large and powerful organization with far-reaching influence.
They had encountered a group of rogue scientists who were using AI technology to enslave entire populations, and a powerful alien race that saw AI as a threat to their dominance. Ralph and the rat knew that they had to act fast to prevent these groups from causing irreparable harm to the universe. They knew that they were one step closer to uncovering the truth behind the rat's creation and their encounters with otherworldly beings.
As they boarded their ship and prepared for takeoff, Ralph couldn't help but feel grateful for the rat's companionship. "I couldn't do this without you, buddy," he said, patting the rat on the head.
The rat chittered in response, its eyes glowing with excitement. It knew that this was just the beginning of their adventure.
As they flew away from the research facility, Ralph couldn't help but wonder what the men were looking for. And more importantly, why they were there in the first place. He knew that they needed to find out more, but he also knew that they needed to be careful. The universe was full of mysteries, and not all of them were meant to be uncovered.
Ralph and the rat knew that they couldn't take on the organization alone, so they turned to the X-Files agents for help. They presented their findings and together, they hatched a plan to bring down the organization and stop their plans for enslavement.
It was a dangerous and risky mission, but Ralph and the rat were determined to see it through. With the help of the X-Files agents, they infiltrated the organization's headquarters and confronted the leaders. A fierce battle ensued, but in the end, the heroes emerged victorious.
The organization was dismantled, and the AI technology was destroyed. Ralph and the rat had saved humanity from a terrible fate. They were hailed as heroes and their story became the stuff of legend.
As Ralph and the rat parted ways, they knew that they would never forget their incredible journey together. They had faced unimaginable challenges and overcome incredible odds, all in the name of justice and freedom.
Their journey may have come to an end, but their story continued to inspire others to seek the truth and question the use of technology for the betterment of humanity. Ralph became a sought-after speaker, sharing his story and advocating for responsible and ethical use of technology. The rat, now known as the legendary cyber-rat, was hailed as a hero, and its unique abilities were studied and replicated in the hopes of advancing technology without sacrificing ethics and morality.
As they traveled the world, Ralph and the rat encountered other unique beings, and their adventures continued. But they always remained true to their purpose, knowing that their experiences had given them a responsibility to use their knowledge and abilities for the greater good.
Their journey may have started by chance, but it ended with purpose and meaning, inspiring others to seek the truth and fight for what is right. And so, Ralph and the rat continued their journey, always together, always seeking the truth, and always making a difference in the world.

2023.03.22 07:12 cold_crossovers TIFU By getting three concussions, one which made me blind, and another taking away my ability to sleep

PART 1 OF 2 This happened 8 years ago now when I (M16) was in highschool. Each concussion happened at on a seperate occasion.
The first happened when me and a few friends decided to wrestle at a community center where I used to live (Ontario, Canada). We decided on a tournament style where the winner will get a large pizza that all the losers pay for. The fights were a simple one on one, win by tap or an obvious overpowerment. We all circled the two main fighters and watched them wrestle until it was our turn. I had my eye on my first matchup, Z (M15), who was easily the skinniest and therefore the easiest to wrestle. Once it was our turn to fight, Z backed out, leaving me without a matchup. My round got skipped and it was agreed upon by the rest of the fighters that if I wanted to fight then I could skip to the next round.
Concussion #1 Fast forward to my next opponent, someone who thought was on my level due to a small difference in our age (Me 16 & my opponent, A being 17). I had the height on him by a bit but he easily weighed 10 or 15 pounds more than me. I knew that I had to end the fight fast as he might be stronger than me. The first thing I did was put him in The ol' reliable, a headlock. I positioned myself to one angle so that I could use all my power to thrust to the other side and throw us both on the ground. This amazing move should put him in a daze of confusion and that is when I should put him in some sort of submission hold until he taps out and I become the victor. I had the entire scenario in my head pictured in what looked like a That's So Raven glimpse into the future. Now time to execute this bodacious maneuver. I jolted from one side to the other and tried to throw him to the ground but he eliminated any thoughts of filling my stomach with any form of cheesy Italian cuisine with one simple maneuver: he took a step backwards. This move let him slip out of the headlock and left me to think about everything that led to this point while I fell in what felt like slow motion. I did not have any time to prepare for the fall other than tilting my head down so that I don't break my nose. I got the top of my forehead on the carpeted but still extremely hard ground. It hurt but I didn't feel anything weird until I got up and felt like vomitting. My vision had motion blur and it felt like I was looking through a tunnel because I lost my peripheral vision. I started reaching my arms out to grab anyone near me because the motion blur was affecting my depth perception. I was helped to sit out in a corner as I considered my life choices that led me here and how I took my regular vision for granted. We hid this from any adults that could possible get us in trouble but we did ask for help from some "cool" early 20s staff who we usually hung out with. They told me that I cannot sleep in a situation like this even though I was suddenly getting sleepy and they told me the possibility of more harm if I actually slept. I stayed awake due to fear of brain damage and "toughed it out" like my friends suggested I do.
Concussion #2 Now fast forward 6 months later. I am in grade 11 playing basketball with my friends when happen to trip on a crack in the cement floor that felt a lot bigger than it looked. I tried to brace my fall with my arms, but the pushups I always skipped came back to haunt me. I couldn't catch myself and I don't know whether it's the speed at which I fell or the fact that I couldn't even hold myself in a pushup form if my life depended on it. This led to me faceplanting the cement and my glasses which I had on the entire time smashing on impact (this miraculously did not cause me any harm in any way) and my face cutting open at the temple. Blood poured out like honey out of a bottle and my friends got me tissue paper to cover the bleeding. I was to distracted by the amount of bleeding to realize that I had a concussion. This time it was a similar feeling to the first time. I was ready. I remained calm, tried to stop the bleeding, and waited patiently for the ambulance to come. The EMTs confirmed that I showed symptoms of a concussion and I rode with them to the hospital. The doctor later confirmed that the cut on my head was on a weird angle and the stitching it might cuz issues once it heals so the bleeding was stopped and a bandage was placed over the gooey stuff they used to cover the wound.
Concussion #3 Fast forward to the next semester. It is Finals Week of my grade 11 year and we just finished one of our exams. We decided that since we have the rest of the school day off to prepare for our next exam, we have some time to play basketball. We have one "court". It looks similar to the place in the warehouse where they had that basketball episode in the office. This is the same court where I tripped and fell and recieved my concussion #2. {This year we went to the finals in the local high school basketball tournament and lost not because they were better, but because our starting five (including a 6 foot 5 kid that plays rep) got tired due to us playing multiple games back to back. This kid was 1 year younger than me but he fit into our friend group because all of his friends were our age as well.} I was chasing my tall friend who just grabbed the rebound but I got too close to him from behind and ended up tripping on one of his long freaky stick legs. This was unintentional from him as he couldn't have known that I was that close to him as he would've positioned himself differently. I still haven't improved in my workout routine so I still couldn't defend myself from gravity. Face_plant3.exe. My glasses spontaneously combusted upon impact and my face was led to the same fate as my previous encounter against this undefeated foe. I picked myself off the ground and looked down as I saw my poorly rendered reflection in a small pool of blood where I just got up from. I positioned myself to sit against a wall as the adrenaline basically made the pain non-existent as I sat there angry at myself for getting in a situation like this for the second time within a year. I was rushed by teachers and students who helped me stop the bleeding as they called 911. It was then that I started to notice the effects of my concussion. Everything from the tunnelling vision to the nausea. However, there was one issue that worried me. The tunneling vision exceeded my peripherals and slowly covered my full vision with darkness. I looked around at the places where I knew the lights were positioned to see if I noticed anything but I couldn't see them. I remembered to stay calm and asked my teacher who was helping me if the lights were still on. He didn't answer immediately. He then said "What do you mean? Of course they are. What?" Once he confirmed what I suspected, my calm mind reminded me of Daredevil on Netflix in the scene when he lost his sight. I thought the super hearing or super senses might kick in but it was just regular senses minus sight. I prepared for the worst and I just thought about all the things I could no longer enjoy in life. My VR headset. Gaming. TV. Oh god, Anime? Reality started to kick in around 10 min later when I was waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Eventually I started to see some light from one eye and then the next. It started with light, then blurry colors. Then shapes. Then a few hours later my sight was back to normal. Part 2 is about losing my ability to sleep some weeks later because of my head injuries
TL;DR - Got 3 different concussions with one leading to temporary blindness.

2023.03.22 06:45 kfmw05 Tech in Nevada but I want a change

Hey hey! Currently I live in CA and work as a tech with a grocery store chain. Previously I was at 3 letter as a lead tech. I’ve been licensed for 3 years now and I’m moving to Nevada soon. Vegas area. I do plan on doing PTCB either before or right after I move but I’m looking for a change. I’m so so tired of retail. I really enjoy the back end of things when I’m thinking about retail. I really enjoy the clerical side of things, inventory, insurance. Basically the things aside from filling and ringing people out all day. I do have a huge interest in the medical field but school is a little far away for me right now. I know hospital obviously pays the most but I really don’t think I want to do any sterile compounding. Does anyone know of any other types of positions that pay well that I should look into? Experiences? Could I do hospital without the sterile compounding portion? Slightly lower key than 400+ scripts a day with minimal staff and extreme foot traffic is preferred. 😂Any further advice? I’d really appreciate it!

2023.03.22 06:42 Scary-Pilot-1471 Hamster Lost + Found

Five days ago, our hamster escaped and this time it was serious. She had escaped before, but usually, she would just be playing outside her enclosure with a spare hamster wheel that I had sitting there. This time was different. I am not sure how long after she actually escaped we found out. She is 12 months old now and has turned a little bit into a sleeper. Sometimes she doesn't leave her little wooden house, and we don't see her for a day or so. As soon as we found out, it was code red in our household. Search and rescue mission on! We checked everywhere: all hidden corners, the pantry, bedrooms, in the beds, toilets, kitchen. We even unloaded the whole storage room. It was a madhouse. This saga continued for several days, and it started to wear on the family: the kids were sad and upset, my wife was grumpy, and I was grumpy. I just could not figure out where she could have gone. We live on the 2nd floor of a flat building, and there is no way she could have left the apartment. It just puzzled me. Then last night, at 11 pm, after we had given up, to be honest, my wife heard a sound coming from the refrigerator. A sound that a refrigerator is not supposed to make. Sometimes the sound was there and then nothing for a while. We heard it a few times, and it started to dawn on us that it vaguely resembled the sound of a hamster trying to get out of a confined space. Our refrigerator is huge and loaded with stuff, but we managed to wrestle it from the wall. We got the toolbox out and started unscrewing the lower panels at the bottom of the refrigerator. And there she was... Thank God. She did not want to come out at first, but some cheese cubes did the trick. She was fine, but she probably got a whack from a spinning fan blade because her tail looked a little crooked. It looks a lot better today. Anyways... the moral of the story... when your hammie escapes, don't give up too soon. They are resilient little animals, and surviving is in their blood!! Enjoy, everybody.

2023.03.22 06:38 Mammoth-Fan6582 Tips for Creating the Ultimate Healthcare Marketing Campaign

Tips for Creating the Ultimate Healthcare Marketing Campaign
Healthcare marketing refers to the promotion and advertisement of healthcare services, products, and organizations to attract patients and build a strong brand identity. Effective healthcare marketing is crucial for attracting new patients, building trust and loyalty, and increasing revenue. In this article, we will discuss tips for creating the ultimate healthcare marketing campaign that will help your organization stand out from the competition and connect with your target audience. We will cover various strategies and tactics, from defining your target audience and creating compelling content to leveraging social media and measuring the success of your marketing efforts.

Know Your Audience

A thriving healthcare marketing campaign starts with knowing your audience. It's essential to understand the demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral characteristics of your target audience to develop effective messaging and strategies that will resonate with them.
Market research and analysis can provide valuable insights into consumer preferences, healthcare needs, and attitudes toward healthcare services. This data can help you identify market gaps, opportunities, and threats and shape your campaign accordingly.
Creating buyer personas is another way to understand your audience better. A buyer persona is a fictional representation of your ideal customer based on demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data. It can help you develop personalized messaging and tactics that will appeal to specific segments of your target audience.
Understanding the patient journey is also crucial in healthcare marketing. The patient journey is the path patients take from recognizing a healthcare need to seeking treatment and follow-up care. Mapping out the patient journey can help you identify touchpoints where patients are likely to engage with your campaign and develop messaging that will guide them along the way.
By understanding your audience, you can create a healthcare marketing campaign that speaks directly to their needs, concerns, and desires, leading to better engagement and outcomes.

Develop a Clear Brand Identity

Developing a clear brand identity is a critical step in creating an effective healthcare marketing campaign. A strong brand identity can help distinguish your organization from competitors, build trust with patients and customers, and create a sense of familiarity and recognition in the minds of your audience.
To develop a clear brand identity, it's essential to create a unique brand voice and message that reflects your organization's values, mission, and personality. Your messaging should be consistent across all channels, including your website, social media, and advertising materials.
In addition to messaging, you should also focus on developing a consistent visual identity. This includes choosing a color scheme, font, and imagery that aligns with your messaging and brand values. Your visual identity should be consistent across all marketing materials and channels to create a cohesive brand experience for patients and customers.
Establishing brand guidelines can help ensure consistency in messaging and visuals. These guidelines can include rules around logo usage, color schemes, font types, and image styles. When everyone involved in your marketing campaign understands and adheres to these guidelines, it helps reinforce your brand identity. It makes it easier for patients and customers to recognize and connect with your organization.

Utilize Various Marketing Channels

There are a wide variety of marketing channels available for healthcare organizations, including both traditional and digital options. Some of the most commonly used channels include:
  • Television and radio advertising
  • Print advertising (e.g., newspapers, magazines, billboards)
  • Direct mail marketing
  • Email marketing
  • Social media marketing
  • Search engine marketing (e.g., Google Ads)
  • Content marketing (e.g., blog posts, infographics, videos)
  • Event marketing (e.g., health fairs, conferences, sponsorships)
It is essential to choose the marketing channels that are most likely to reach your target audience effectively. For example, suppose your target audience is primarily older adults. In that case, traditional channels like print advertising and direct mail may be more effective than digital channels like social media or search engine marketing. On the other hand, if your target audience is younger and more tech-savvy, digital channels may be more effective.
It is often most effective to use a combination of both digital and traditional marketing channels in a healthcare marketing campaign. For example, you might use television advertising to build brand awareness, direct mail to target specific patient populations, and social media to engage with patients and build a community around your brand.
Some examples of effective healthcare marketing campaigns include:
  • Cleveland Clinic's "Empathy: The Human Connection to Patient Care" campaign focused on showcasing the hospital's commitment to patient-centered care through a series of emotional and inspiring videos.
  • Mount Sinai Hospital's "Real Patients, Real Stories" campaign featured videos of patients sharing their personal experiences and struggling with various health conditions in order to humanize the hospital's brand and connect with patients on a deeper level.
  • Mayo Clinic's "Mayo Clinic Connect" online community provides a platform for patients to connect with each other and with Mayo Clinic experts in order to build a sense of community and support around the Mayo Clinic brand.

Leverage the Power of Content Marketing

  • Importance of content marketing in healthcare: In today's digital age, content marketing has become a crucial aspect of any successful healthcare marketing campaign. It involves creating and sharing valuable, educational, and relevant content with your target audience to establish your brand as a thought leader in your industry.
  • Creating valuable and relevant content for your audience: To create compelling content, it is essential to understand your audience's needs, interests, and pain points. Conducting thorough research and analysis can help you identify what type of content your audience is looking for and what resonates with them.
  • Utilizing various content formats: To cater to different learning styles and preferences, it is essential to create content in different formats. Blog posts, videos, infographics, e-books, webinars, and social media posts are some of the most popular content formats used in healthcare marketing.
  • Promoting and distributing your content effectively: Creating high-quality content alone is not enough. It is equally important to promote and distribute your content effectively to reach your target audience. Social media, email marketing, influencer marketing, and paid advertising are some of the most effective ways to promote and distribute your content.
By leveraging the power of content marketing, healthcare organizations can not only establish themselves as thought leaders but also build trust and credibility with their target audience. Creating valuable and relevant content can help educate and inform patients, drive engagement, and ultimately, improve patient outcomes.

Monitor and Measure Your Campaign's Success

A thriving healthcare marketing campaign requires constant monitoring and measuring of its success. This involves tracking and analyzing campaign performance to understand its impact and make necessary changes for optimal results.
Firstly, it's essential to set specific goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help track progress and measure success. These goals may include increasing website traffic, generating leads, or boosting patient engagement.
Next, analytics tools can be utilized to collect and analyze data. These tools can provide insights into important metrics such as website traffic, page views, click-through rates, and conversion rates. By tracking these metrics, healthcare marketers can evaluate the effectiveness of their campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
Making data-driven decisions is crucial in optimizing healthcare marketing campaigns. Based on the insights gained from analytics tools, marketers can make informed decisions about adjustments to their campaigns. This may include shifting marketing channels, adjusting messaging, or refining targeting strategies.
Monitoring and measuring the success of a healthcare marketing campaign is essential for achieving the desired outcomes. By setting clear goals, utilizing analytics tools, and making data-driven decisions, healthcare marketers can optimize their campaigns to achieve optimal results.
In conclusion, creating the ultimate healthcare marketing campaign requires a deep understanding of your audience, a clear brand identity, a strategic selection of marketing channels, a focus on content marketing, and careful monitoring and analysis of campaign performance. It is crucial to remember that effective healthcare marketing requires a balance of creativity, empathy, and scientific rigor.

2023.03.22 06:28 Sorin61 Cardioprotective effects of curcumin against myocardial I/R injury: A systematic review and meta-analysis of preclinical and clinical studies [03 - 2023]

Objective: Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is a complex clinical problem that often leads to further myocardial injury. Curcumin is the main component of turmeric, which has been proved to have many cardioprotective effects. However, the cardioprotective potential of curcumin remains unclear. The present systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the clinical and preclinical (animal model) evidence regarding the effect of curcumin on myocardial I/R injury.
Methods: Eight databases and three register systems were searched from inception to 1 November 2022. Data extraction, study quality assessment, data analyses were carried out strictly. Then a fixed or random-effects model was applied to analyze the outcomes. SYRCLE’s-RoB tool and RoB-2 tool was used to assess the methodological quality of the included studies. RevMan 5.4 software and stata 15.1 software were used for statistical analysis.
Results: 24 animal studies, with a total of 503 animals, and four human studies, with a total of 435 patients, were included in this study. The meta-analysis of animal studies demonstrated that compared with the control group, curcumin significantly reduced myocardial infarction size (p < 0.00001), and improved the cardiac function indexes (LVEF, LVFS, LVEDd, and LVESd) (p < 0.01). In addition, the indexes of myocardial injury markers, myocardial oxidation, myocardial apoptosis, inflammation, and other mechanism indicators also showed the beneficial effect of curcumin (p < 0.05). In terms of clinical studies, curcumin reduced the incidence of cardiac dysfunction, myocardial infarction in the hospital and MACE in the short term, which might be related to its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative property. Dose-response meta-analysis predicted, 200 mg/kg/d bodyweight was the optimal dose of curcumin in the range of 10–200 mg/kg/d, which was safe and non-toxic according to the existing publications.
Conclusion: Our study is the first meta-analysis that includes both preclinical and clinical researches. We suggested that curcumin might play a cardioprotective role in acute myocardial infarction in animal studies, mainly through anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptosis, and anti-fibrosis effects. In addition, from the clinical studies, we found that curcumin might need a longer course of treatment and a larger dose to protect the myocardium, and its efficacy is mainly reflected on reducing the incidence of myocardial infarction and MACE.

2023.03.22 06:18 BkGamingYtIsCool there's a reason why bad people are bad people

I feel like nobody takes me seriously when I talk about this. I've made 2 posts on a different subreddit asking for advice, and 1 other post here venting about it and people have only had a bad reaction.
Pretty much, I've been struggling with urges to harm my cat for 6 months now, and acting on them for a portion of that time. At face value, yes, I am a cat abuser. I'm a horrible person who deserves to be thrown in jail for the rest of my life, and get the living daylights beaten out of me everyday. I should have all of my remaining human rights stripped away, for I am not deserving of them, nor am I worthy of being considered a human. I get it, I get it, I'm the scum of the earth. But really, there is so much more nuance to the situation that it isn't fair to make these distinctions without compassion and understanding. Yes, cat abusers have feelings too, shocker.
As for my past, I haven't had much of a childhood, or at least a very good one. Being forced to leave my home land in the Caribbean because of a natural disaster that destroyed the entire island, separating me from half of my family for over 9 months, wasn't a very good start at 6 years old. Witnessing my brother's abuse which included him being beaten relentlessly and punched to the point he was hospitalized wasn't so great. Same with the guilt of watching my brother's hand be smashed with a hammer, breaking the bones in it, after he begged me to lie for him so he wouldn't get in trouble, and my young self being too conflicted to know what I should do. Same with being beaten, myself, for making the mistake of stealing my mother's credit card to experiment with other forms of money. I wasn't trying to do anything bad, of course, I simply had only used cash to buy things and wanted to learn what that little plastic card could do, but my parents didn't know that, they didn't care to ask me. This same type of thing happened on and on, witnessing threats of abuse, witnessing abuse, being threatened with abuse, being abused, over and over. At some point, when I was 10 years old, my father's untreated bipolar disorder sparked up and he had a manic episode. He was convinced that my mother was doing drugs in their closet and cheating on him, and my parents would fight about this everyday. My mom signed the divorce papers but my dad refused to, and they stayed separated for a while.
This was actually the happiest period of my life, when I would stay over at my dad's apartment on the weekends. I remember when he first took me over there, and immediately asked me how the place smelled. I later learned that this was because my mom went over to the place before my dad picked me up, and commented on the smell, which my dad was eager to fix. I fondly remember sleeping on a queen size bed for the first time, with big fluffy sheets and the most comfortable pillows I've ever layed my head on, copper pillows, I believe. I'd have the fan blowing in my face, and be so incredibly relaxed. My dad would take me to buy all the snacks I wanted with the money he earned from his music studio, and I'd stay up all night, using his MacBook to play Roblox with my online friends, having the best nights of my life. After a while, my dad's manic episode had subsided, and my parents moved back in together, happily cuddling on the couch as we watched my favorite children's television show. All was well, and there was absolutely no abuse in this period. It wasn't as good as being alone with my dad, of course, but it was still way better than my life before.
Sadly, though, good things can't last forever, and my dad soon passed away due to complications with his Sickle Cell disease. I felt absolutely nothing, I cried at his funeral but I was no longer capable of feeling. I stayed in this numb state, struggling with online school, and just getting by. After a little under a year of this, I was struck by grief. I just broke down, so incredibly sad, mad, disappointed, every negative emotion I could feel towards his death. The sound ringed in my ears of people at his funeral saying "This is all part of God's plan", "Everything happens for a reason", as I clawed my hair out trying to think, "why? what was the reason?", "why would god do this to me?". It was so intense, I couldn't handle the pain of thinking about it everyday and slept as much as I could to make it stop. When even that didn't work, I tried to go to sleep again, but permanently this time. That still didn't work, and I didn't know what to do other than just continuing my suffering. I was trying my best to keep going, to make it until the end of the year, or at least until my birthday, but that didn't help. On my 11th birthday, I was in the stage of trying to stand up for myself, and I really didn't feel like going out for my birthday, so we rescheduled for the next week. That next week made a horrible day for me, in a way I didn't expect. I was feeling okay enough to go, and started to get ready. My mom wasn't very happy with me though, as she saw the outfit I had prepared. "Go change that hoodie", she said, "It has stains on it". I didn't know what else I should wear and asked why I couldn't just keep the hoodie on. "You look like a homeless person", she began screaming, "You're embarrassing me! People are going to think I'm a bad mom!". At this point I began crying, in pain at the fact that she would think of me as an embarrassment. It shouldn't have surprised me, really, when in the past she had threatened to ship me off to Mexico for not having good enough grades, and threatened to put me in foster care because she disliked the green polo shirt I wanted to wear. It still hurt, though, it always hurts, and I can never get used to the pain. Through the sobs, my heart and mind were racing to find a solution. Find a new shirt, keep defending my current attire, or just give up. I tried the first two options but nothing seemed to work, I couldn't make her happy, so I gave up. She stormed away, frustrated at my response, and I handed her something I soon discovered to be the final straw. "I don't want to go anymore", I said, deciding to be honest with her and myself, and stand my ground as a brand new tween. But it was a mistake, because it only unleashed a slur of yelling and screaming and shouting, as she stormed off to her bedroom. She'd done this quite often before, but this time, she reunited me with an old enemy, the belt. I was still being hit after my dad died, but usually that'd be a slap or punch to the mouth. Not this time, however. She furiously hit me with the belt, over and over and over, as I cried "I just wanted to be comfortable". All of our arguments over clothing have surrounded this, the fact that I want to be comfortable in what I wear and in my own body, but seemingly, my mom wasn't a big fan of that. She then began dragging me across the house, yelling and choking me, saying she wants to cut me and plaster me to the wall, and, of course, put me in foster care, because I'm such a worthless piece of trash that she doesn't deserve the burden of being my parent. My mom brought up this event a few times afterwards, but she seems to have forgotten the details that are now ingrained in my brain, as she sees it as a funny little thing that happened on my birthday, and not as the event that has made tears pour out of me for nights on end, wondering what I did to deserve this treatment.
Anyways, this goes to say that my past has not been good. The history of mental illness in my family has caused a myriad of problems for me, including the cat abuse. You may think "But that's not an excuse!", one thing I've been told before is that "Your mental illness is not your fault, but it is your responsibility". Okay, so I'm still a horrible person for abusing my cat, understood. But throughout my childhood, or lack thereof, I've only been taught that the proper reaction to something you don't like is violence. Cats scratch and bite, which is painful, which I don't like. I feel as though I've been in enough pain at this point, and I won't tolerate some stupid feline adding to that. So, I'd get really angry when my cat would bite me, and I'd try to avoid hitting him, but nothing really worked. I asked and people suggested giving away the cat, which wasn't an option, or staying away from it, which also wasn't an option, as I still wanted to have a good relationship with the cat despite this setback. The urges didn't stop and my cat wouldn't stop biting me, so I gave in. I started hitting him when he bit me to make him stop, but it didn't work. No matter what I did, I couldn't get this cat to stop hurting me. That was, until one day, when I beat him so badly that he released his bladder out of fear on my living room floor. Since then, I would just beat him whenever he upset me to make him stop, and it'd work. Sometimes, anyway. When he just wouldn't cooperate, I'd take him somewhere private, like a bathroom, and beat him until he'd emptied his bladder and/or bowels as a result of my punishments. All I'd wanted was to not be hurt by the little animal that's supposed to look up to me. The abuse is what gave me that. I used it as a coping mechanism, recreating my abuse and taking back control. I'd also get quite a few marks on my hands and arms after our session, that served as a visible form of the pain I endured, making me feel less invisible.
So no, while it isn't an excuse for what I've done, I wish people would look at my situation with more compassion and understanding about the things that lead someone to do this. I would love to be diagnosed with whatever's wrong with me and receive treatment and therapy and medication and whatever I need to stop doing this, but I'd only be able to access that by admitting to what I've done, which just isn't an option for me. As of now, I am 13 years old, and the responsibilities of dealing with my mental illness are too much for a kid like me to handle alone, so I just wish people were more understanding.

2023.03.22 05:57 ReverendVoice My First Rimworld.. and it's likely demise...

Just started playing last week, and after a few false starts I had a colony that I felt was on the rise. Four people, and was just getting ready to start a couple prisoner conversions. https://i.imgur.com/gVasb7U.png
If you look, the area to the right of my colonists was where I started with small wood rooms and built slowly to the left. Just finished my sterile hospital, had enough grazing area to try for a Muffalo when I got someone with the right animals skills...
Then I did something stupid. I decided to breakdown the wall of one of the buildings. Yes, it said there was an ancient curse or somesuch, but curiousity is a cruel bitch. https://i.imgur.com/kGbheK4.png
I am now trying to build SOME kind of fortifications and speed research to fuel so I have some fire support. The only momentary peace is that I was able to get my buiilder to close the wall while they slept.
I"m sure my base is chuck full of mistakes and problems, but I'm enjoying the learning as I go. That said, unless I can get my kids prepared, I don't expect them to make it through the year.
EDIT - **ITS, dammit.. that's going to bother me.

2023.03.22 05:37 TrebuchetIsGod My GF is completely and utterly insane- what do I do?

So some context before we begin- My GF and I are both Canadian, and we ae both minors. I love her like nothing else and in this case breaking up is not an option.
She is a testament to the horrible mistakes the medical system in Calgary can be, with the hospital accidentally getting into a situation where she was born schizoaffective. She has a history of self-harm and many schizophrenic symptoms, but none like this.
Today I talked to her for the first time in about 4 days, as she is rather busy and can be forgetful about calling me.
She told me that she is actually a god of animals and that she hears messages from animals sometimes (example she gave was mice in the snow). The big worrying part os that she is now refusing to take her meds as she thinks that "the government is trying to mind control me" and take away her powers or something. She also thinks that everyond in her life is "in" on it (including me).
She left the call abruptly after I tried to reason with her. Her parents know she is not taking meds willingly and I'm sure they are as lost as I am.
Please help. What do I do?

2023.03.22 05:15 Xaines13 I'm Excited for Update 3.0

So yes the current topic on the sub is Chorf release and how CA is handling it, but this note isnt an echochamber for opinions on it its for 3.0.
Chorfs are being handled how its being handled, would be awesome if it changes (and it still can, as well as be updated, so keep up the discussion) but I dont have to buy it if I dont want to so my focus is on 3.0... (Even though I'm buying it... Because I want to :P)
We havent gotten a full blog on 3.0 yet but we've seen some changes in the Chorf gameplay videos which I quite like.
The small addition of seeing what other settlements are in the province on the "settlement captured" screen is a really nice QOL thing, especially for new players who dont know the map yet. Something very small is the little effect animation that plays at the bottom of the black information windows you get when you mouse over say a building, small but appealing. Also in some instances such as the tech tree it shows which units are impacted via unit cards, neat. INSTANT CONSTRUCTION is a mechanic which we all loved in Three Kingdoms, and even though its Chorf specific I'll be grabbing the inevitable "Universal Instant Construction" mod ASAP. New maps as well maybe? New magical lore is cool, flavor text too, possible hints at GW related stuff.
Something else I'm looking forward to is with more content from the update (Chorfs) that means more assets for modders to play with! Not only visual models but animations and new effects, as well as scripted mechanics which non-modders dont always think are important additions but are crucial for "new" modded mechanics to be designed. (Yet mechanics not as "new" as we expected, sure) For example the Chorfs after taking a city can choose between an outpost or factory, small addition that can be taken advantage of by creative modders, adding depth to mods. Not to mention the little buttons for converting an outpost to a factory in the settlement building window, its nice, can clean up some mods that try the same thing. Also the tech tree "Branches" are a nice addition to not only clean up some modded faction tech trees but inspire further depth for those factions. Tower of Zharr stuff too. Something seemingly small but with how big immortal empires is as a game, that extra bit of variety goes very far with modder's creativity which is the main reason I personally am going to be playing it long past it being an unsupported project.
One reason I dont see CA as this big evil company is they've actually changed things we didnt like in the past, reworked, and just generally supported their project very well over the past 7 years. Not to mention they went from being timid with change "Uhhh will the community be happy if we change +3% weapon strength to +4%?" to "We're going to add rat-nukes, reworking entire factions, and taking the leap with map design despite not being able to come up with a sound solution for AI past the year 2008". I've been playing since Rome 1 and seen them develop since the ACTUAL terrible practices they had with Rome 2, and even fight back against SEGA to go through with things they felt would be better for their project and community. They arent perfect but I'm glad I get them developing my favorite Warhammer games instead of Ubisoft or crazy Early Access devs. Just a thought. Also Chorf trains.
I'm excited to see the update blog and patchnotes. Have you guys noticed more update changes? What are you excited for? I like being optimistic where I can c:

2023.03.22 04:45 dizzylily12 40F looking for like-minded friends

Hi all, I'm 40F and looking for friends! I'm all huddled up today from the latest Bay Area CA atmospheric river 🌧 ☔.
Personality: I am a pretty upbeat girl, easygoing, friendly, bisexual, attractive, and on the shy and introverted side.
Lifestyle: I'm moderately feminine. I am super into nail polish and into makeup and getting dressed up to go out. I'm liberal. I don't drink at the moment and am okay with 420 although I have stopped using it for the most part. I do not do and am not interested in hard drugs. I enjoy being spontaneous but am more comfortable planning things in advance because I think it results in a higher chance of overall satisfaction. I like being a homebody, keep a clean house, and know how to cook and do most grownup things :). I am responsible, too lazy to be dishonest, and like things drama-free.
Hobbies: Music (90s alt rock, R&B, but also EDM, some punk, some rap, top 40 pop, classical, musicals), I do play an instrument and have taken singing lessons. Travel (national parks). Stargazing. Nature/Hiking. Science. Art. Cooking/baking. Old movies (TCM). Love animals and plants, used to have a large dog (my horse pony RIP <3). I laugh at everything and find sense of humor super important for compatibility. I'm an information hound and by *some* definitions, I'm a nerd ;). I'm in STEM. I like having deep conversations and can get intellectual. On the other hand, I can be a little bit scrappy and a tiny bit trashy when the mood suits. If it matters, I'm American, white, and not from California.
I dunno, lemme know if any of this strikes a chord with you. No flirting or catfishing, please. If I had a age range preference, it would be 35+.

2023.03.22 04:39 Invisibles_Cubit Bestiality Question— Looking for Info —Time Sensitive!!

This evening I was contacted by a national TV station. They are doing a story on a sister missionary who was called in 2019. She ended up serving the full 18 months.
During her bishop’s interview, she disclosed “same-sex attraction.” As a result, the bishop called her back for a second interview. This time the chastity questions were much more explicit. Including, “Have you engaged in bestiality, having sex with animals.”
At the time, this query particularly stunned her. She believes that the new raft of questions was mandated from church headquarters.
Before the TV station runs their story, they are looking for corroboration.
1) Do you know any ‘same-sex attracted’ mission candidate who was asked about bestiality?
2) During your mission interview, did it come out that you were ‘same-sex attracted’ and then asked about bestiality?
3) Have you heard of a special set of questions that were given to bishops to pose to ‘same-sex attracted’ candidates?
The reporter apologized for the short notice. She needs feedback in the next few hours. I’ll be monitoring responses until the wee hours of the morning.
Feel free to direct message me.
P.S. The term ‘same-sex attracted’ is used here because that is what the reporter used.
