2023.03.31 18:04 gamechampionx 21 cheap games under $20
Hi folks,
I know SNES collecting is getting pricey now, so I compiled a list of my favourites currently priced under $20 Canadian (around $15 US) based on Pricecharting.
- Populous - Fun strategy game with a sandbox type feel. Used to also love this on the Commodore Amiga.
- NHL 96 - Straightforward, fun sports action.
- Warlock - Horror themed action/platformer. Not the smoothest game but has a unique charm.
- Zoop - Fast-paced puzzle game involving matching colours.
- Top Gear - Arcade-style racer with a great soundtrack.
- Ka-blooey - Grid-based puzzle game that's easy to pick up and play.
- WildSnake - Think of Tetris, but the blocks are curving snakes.
- Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits - Compilation of classic arcade games, such as Defender II and Joust. Really good value.
- Pac-Attack - Tetris-like puzzle game with a unique twist involving Pac-Man eating ghosts to free space. Really addictive puzzle mode.
- Art of Fighting - Fighting game whose characters later appeared in the King of Fighters series.
- Hyperzone - Fast-paced action/shooting game with futuristic graphics similar to F-Zero.
- ClayFighter - Fighting game with cool claymation character designs.
- Super Conflict - Turn-based military strategy game.
- Flashback: The Quest for Identity - Cinematic platformer with a cool storyline. Similar to Out of this World and Blackthorne.
- WWF Royal Rumble - Wrestling game with a cool Royal Rumble mode.
- Rival Turf - Straightforward beat-em-up game with a good 2-player mode. Start of the "Rushing Beat" series.
- Out of this World - Another cinematic platforner. Cool sci-fi artwork and storyline.
- Samurai Shodown - Samurai Fighting game.
- World Heroes - Well-executed Street Fighter II clone where you play as historical figures such as Rasputin.
- Aladdin - Solid platformer based on the movie. Different game from the Sega Genesis version.
- Tetris Attack - Colour-matching puzzle game featuring Yoshi. Has an addictive puzzle mode.
Thanks for reading this list. Hopefully it can help newer collectors.

2023.03.31 18:04 False_Ad2435 Recently Diagnosed with NAFLD
M, 30, UK.
I have just been diagnosed with NAFLD after a 3 month period of unrelated symptoms possibly stemming from COVID. I have been doing the usual, googling and scaring myself into thinking if I eat a cookie I will need a liver transplant in 2 weeks.
Prior to my diagnosis i had spent since mid 2020 (COVID Lockdown days) drinking every weekend, which then with bad mental health turned into every day for about 1.5 years. Around December last year i managed to get this down to drinking just on the weekend again, and eventually getting to the point of stopping completely other than occasions.
Diet-Wise, since possibly 2019 its been awful so no surprises there, i have begun to eat healthier and working on losing weight as i am currently 13.7St and should be around 11.5St.
Since around the start of January i have stopped drinking on weekends, and have likely drank 4 times since then, but my bloodwork at the beginning of March still showed ALT slightly high. Secondly, when i work away my diet gets a bit rough due to travelling and quick food stops etc, but nothing to excess.
I understand that i need to cut out alcohol and clean my diet up but my question here is, realistically - what are the limits? Can i have a beer every 2 weeks? Eat a takeaway every 2 weeks? The odd slice of cake at a café?! I do want to reduce the fat in my liver but i also want to stay sane and be able to enjoy the odd burger...
PS. Is dizziness/cloudy headedness linked to this disease? As initially that's what i went to the docs for!

2023.03.31 18:03 HoplaMoy [29][M] - Alway tired and can't keep living like this please help!
Hi,
For the basic info, I live in the UK. Height 5'10, weight around 50 kgs last I checked, race: white/latino, duration of this 11 years but getting progressively worse over time. Reposting this because I didn't get any replies from docs last time and hoping someone could help me shed light on this issue.
Existing medical issues: Dust mite allergies, depression, anxiety, ADHD, infertility.
Medication: Antihistamine nose spray for allergies, works okay but could be better.
Okay so onto the issue, ever since I've turned 18 I've been tired all the time. It used to come and go then but with the years it's gotten worse to the point where now I'm too tired to even get basic tasks done, have slow reactions, and it takes me hours to get out of bed. I just lay there falling back asleep because I can't bring myself to get up. I wake up more exhausted then when I went to sleep. My entire body feels heavy like lead. If an alarm goes off before I'm ready to get up in my half asleep daze I will keep pressing snooze. I've pressed snooze for FOUR HOURS before, every fifteen minutes. If I have to get up early for classes, forget it. I won't be able to. I've almost gotten expelled from college for missing all my morning classes even though I knew I had to go.
Last night I slept for FOURTEEN HOURS from 2 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I woke up at 9 a.m., so damn tired I went right back to sleep then kept waking up and falling back asleep every two hours. It's 11 pm now. I have been tired as hell ever since like 6 p.m to the point I could go back to bed and probably sleep again.
I have CONSTANT brain fog to the point that some of my ADHD symptoms are probably part of this issue rather than even having ADHD. I have muscle weakness to where if I'm sitting up for a long time my entire body starts vibrating. My hands have a slight tremble. If I bend down for a while my legs start shaking and even an hour later my legs are still shaky, then I get sore the next day. I go to the gym sometimes in hopes to get stronger but I can't even lift my own body weight while I see other newcomers lifting the same or more while I've been at it for a while. I get out of breath when doing cardio much faster than others and start seeing black dots, feeling faint to the point I have to sit down or I'll pass out. Same thing happens if I get injured. My long term memory is fine, short term horrible.
I can't gain weight no matter how much I eat, have been like this my entire life when I ate 4 meals a day and mcdonalds multiple times a week. I try to be health concsious nowadays with what I eat but it does nothing. I have zero appetite, progressively worse for the past 3 years and eating is an exhausting chore. I don't enjoy food at all. I am aging too fast, started getting grey hair at 23 and fine lines at 24. Both my parents started going grey in their mid 30's-early 40's. None of them even have wrinkly skin now despite being in their 50's-70's. My grandparents are youthful looking too.
I have circadian rhythm issues where even when I try to fix my sleeping schedule it keeps shifting to an 8 a.m-4 p.m. schedule. I have considered this to be the issue but I sleep better and deeper when it's during the day. When I've fixed my sleeping schedule to sleep at night I've been even more tired during the day. I constantly dream at night, more than most and I don't think I even go into other sleep cycles aside REM. I dream so much that I feel I've slept for much longer than I actually have. When I have 15-20 min naps I start dreaming, that's not supposed to be possible. Same when I sleep for any other time.
Tests I have done: STD test (negative), sleep apnea/breathing study (all came back fine), full blood test(came back iron and vitamin D deficient. I fixed that, pushed them up to normal and did another blood test, still felt constantly tired and it changed nothing), liver and kidney function(liver fine, have phosphate a bit higher than it should be and a few things that could indicate kidney problems), hormone test (all fine), muscle function test or something similar I don't know the name (all fine), COVID screening (negative), heart exam and ECG (fine), blood pressure (low/normal), ENT exam for deviated septum (don't have one). When asked about my inability to gain weight doctors just said I have a fast metabolism. Thyroid screening (normal), lyme disease(negative), HIV (negative).
Irregularities worth mentinoing are that in blood tests I always come back having a nonexistent basophil count. It's bolded and 0.00 but nobody has ever talked to me about it. Despite allergy meds I usually wake up with one nostril blocked. I wake up once every two hours but idk why when I don't have sleep apnea. I have horrific dark circles under my eyes that never go away no matter how much I sleep. When left to my own devices I sleep 10-12 hours a night. I have a lower body temp than most (around 35 C). Get ill less often than most adults. I am infertile and have almost nonexistent libido. Have to pee more than most people and get up at least once a night to pee. Have pelvic muscle issues.
I know this is a horribly long post but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me because I am at the end of my rope. I waste so much time sleeping and it does nothing. I can't do ANYTHING, this tiredness is ruining my life. I have no energy or motivation and I'm going to get expelled from uni if I don't go to class. I've told endless doctors about this, had endless tests done and nobody knows what the issue is. I used to have so much energy as a teenager, I got bored and antsy if I stayed inside even for a day and loved being busy. Now I simply don't have the energy to do anything two days in a row. I'm unemployed because I don't have the energy to work. I would do anything to get that back.

2023.03.31 17:57 blamelessguest123 My Prolon experience (don't read if you're looking for encouragement)
Starting height and weight is 5'2" and 135 pounds. This is about 20 pounds heavier than I normally am because I had a baby a few months ago.
I'm currently midway through Day 5 of Prolon. I've done a lot of different diets in the past, from vegan meal services like Sakara to juice cleaneses. This is by far the hardest diet I've ever done, and by far the worst I've ever felt during a diet. I basically felt like the past 5 days were sick days for me, much of it spent feeling like I had the flu (maybe "keto flu" is what it was).
Day 1 was pretty easy given the amount of food and calories. I hated the soup immediately and had to power through eating them. Without putting them in a blender, I simply did not see how you could keep it from being chunky. The chunks really made me gag.
Days 2 and 3 were absolutely terrible, I felt so fatigued, foggy and unhappy. It really wasn't specifically hunger pangs that I felt -- it was just like major fatigue and brain fog. By mid-day on Day 3, I realized I simply could not eat the soups anymore -- they all tasted the same (I got the new generation with a variety), and even though they don't contain MSG or artificial flavorings, I had this constant taste of like a MSG/fake umami in my mouth from the soups. I decided to switch the soups out for Juice Press vegetable broth, which is pre-made and has 10 calories a serving. Immediately felt great about this choice.
Even when starving, I did not enjoy the crackers or olives or nut bars. There is also nothing actually crispy or chocolatey about the choco-crisp bars. I simply do not understand how anyone finds any of this food palatable.
Day 4 I felt truly terrible and wondered if this was worth it. I had no energy, I hated the little food I could eat, and I started obsessively thinking about all the food I wanted to eat. Suddenly the super healthy, bare bones stirfry my husband makes for dinner looked appealing.
Woke up on Day 5, today, feeling great. Then I ate the nut bar for breakfast as prescribed and immediately felt like sh*t. I wonder if it kicked me out of a fasted state and made my blood sugar spike or something. Since I ate that bar about 5 hours ago, I have felt just as fatigued as the days before. I'll power through today, but this has been a pretty sh*tty experience.
On the upside, I weighed myself this morning at the beginning of Day 5 and I've lost 7 pounds. I'm sure most of it is water weight, but even if 1.5 pounds of it is real fat, this will be worth it... but only barely.
I will get through this day, but net-net, I wonder if many of you aren't smarter doing a DIY version of this simply because all of the foods were absolutely disgusting to me. I'm not someone who is generally picky about foods either.
Sorry this is such a bummer but wanted to share my perspective because most of the posts I've read about Prolon seem to demonstrate some kind of upswing in energy or focus or something... I didn't experience any of that. I found it overall super depressing to feel terrible 24/7 (compounded by bad sleep every night) and also hate the food I'm eating. I wonder if the Prolon diet really works for everyone... I honestly felt like the food kept kicking me in and out of a fasting state and I would've probably ended up better off in a consistent fasting state. It's possible the veggie broth I substituted for the soups mid-day on Day 3 contributed to me feeling not great, but I don't think I would've felt any better eating those nausea-inducing soups.

2023.03.31 17:57 chippy_60 Feeling blindsided by being told I have GD
My OB’s nurse from the hospital just called me out of the blue to book a time to “come in and pick up your diabetes kit” and that I’ll have to attend diabetes classes 🤡🤡🤡 great. I did the 1 hour glucose screening test last Saturday and since then have been contacted by my GP and my OB’s nurse about my low iron but nothing else. No indication that I failed this test. I feel blindsided. I was told my result was “6.4” (A1C I’m guessing. Not sure about sugar levels)
I’m also confused because AFAIK that test is not diagnostic and if you fail you have to do the 3 hour test to determine GD - why are they jumping right to GD treatment and acting like I have it? Shouldn’t that news come from a Dr also, not a nurse calling me from the hospital? Also, the nurse asked me if I fasted before the test to which I replied no because I wasn’t told to. She then told me that I’d have to repeat the test if I didn’t fast??? I am so confused and anxious, really didn’t need this on top of the most stressful week of my life.
If I have GD I feel horrible and like it’s my fault. I’m so upset and discouraged.

2023.03.31 17:56 Jazzlike_Ad4553 Titans mock draft based on player meetings and fit
Player visits are not 100% indicative of who a team is going to draft obviously but it means the organization at least has interest in them. I used a combination of need, draft stock, and the fact that we have hosted them on a visit to make these picks. Thought it would be fun to have a mock draft in a slightly different way and arguably more realistic. I used MDD’s big board to decide if these players would be available at our picks. Boards will vary greatly and change with time so this likely won’t be accurate on draft day. With those caveats and explanations out of the way let’s get into it!
1.11 Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
Wright has experience at LT and RT but primarily RT. It is worth stating he didn’t change spots on the line due to skill issues, but team need. He is the only player I have seen give Will Anderson fits and make him switch sides. Will Anderson is also said that Wright was “
the best tackle he faced” as well as “
the toughest player he faced”
He also played flawlessly against former #1 overall pick and now divisional rival edge rusher Travon Walker. He could easily fit in at LT or RT for us. Wright met with the Titans at the NFL Combine.
2.41 Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina
Josh Downs is an interesting prospect as he plays way bigger in his size. This is apparent in his
contested catch rate and
RAS score. He can be an immediate help in the slot and a sneaky outside receiver potentially. With the uncertainty of Kyle Phillips, he could prove to be a hot commodity for the Titans. He was met with at his Pro Day.
3.72 Tyler Scott, WR, Cincinnati
Scott is all the buzz for the Titans as of late. Teams are allowed 3 private virtual visits with players and the Titans just used one on Scott and his WR coach. Scott has met with the Titans extensively and said that it went well. The scouting department sees something in him and for good reason, despite being undersized he is incredibly speedy. His explosiveness shows on film and he is great at getting separation. He like downs, is incredibly fast and that is just what our offense needs to modernize, speed.
Vrabel has also said that’s something he wants to focus on, adding speed to the offense. Scott is also a threat in the end zone, ranking 19th in the nation for receiving touchdowns. Further to add to his speed traits, he is a former track star. Despite only running a 4.44 forty time, he has an unofficial time of
4.32.
5.147 Braeden Daniels
Daniels is one of the offensive lineman that the Titans met with “Daniels brings some versatility with him to the NFL, as the Utah product has experience playing at both guard and tackle.” -Justin Mello. Another lineman that can move to multiple spots on the line and sporting a 9.65
RAS score Doubling up at the position will greatly aid the line.
6.186 Payne Durham
With the loss of Austin Hooper and the hopeful incoming renaissance of Konk, an addition at TE is needed. Payne Durham fits this need and has been met with by the Titans. With 525 snaps in-line and 612 snaps in the slot, he is a versatile player that can help in blocking and as well as receiving. Coming in at 6’6” and 253 lbs he has the size to be a matchup nightmare as well as a heavy blocker. He also ranks T-9th in contested catches with 8. With sticky hands he ranks in the top percentiles of drops with a slight drop rate of only 3.4%.
7.228 Steven Gilmore
The only player that does not have a visit on this list is Gilmore. He is the brother of Stephon Gilmore and has flied very under the radar. Coming in at 6’0” and 170 lbs he would need to put on significant muscle he “opted to play at Marshall despite offers from Duke, Georgia, Kansas State, Louisville, Maryland, South Carolina, and others”. He shows great technique and IQ, as TheDraftNetwork says “he has a glass ceiling” eluding to the fact that if he can put on some weight he could really shine. He was used as an outside corner at Marshall as well as inside corner at a fair split. With extensive experience in special teams with covering kicks and fine tuning his tackling he could come in as an immediate help on special teams. With bringing Chris Harris onto the staff, a potential defensive coordinator candidate, it would be a travesty to not give him a project.

2023.03.31 17:51 amoda888 unsure if I could have PTSD?
hi I've been dealing with certain issues for awhile and unsure if it fits into the umbrella of PTSD. Its the first time sharing this on a forum..
My best friend ended his life after a struggle with mental health. This happened about 4 yrs ago. I definitely cried and grieved my way through that journey, but have since picked up symptoms that have arisen from that. As I lay down to sleep, my mind is slowly flooded with images, pure nonsense, abstract stuff that has no ground in the real world. My jaw starts to tighten and my mind/body refuses to relax. When it does relax, I can feel pockets of fear release...like when somebody comes up behind you and says BOO!, but the fear is stuck in the body. So my sleep has been severely affected by this.
Also, in my relationships to loved ones, I am afraid to form close relationships with others for fear of suddenly losing them. I have nightmares of family members suddenly dying. I told someone I was romantically involved that I feared that I wouldn't see her again because of like a freak accident (she said, "don't think like that", and we never mentioned it again)
Something tells me that my mind/body cannot relax at night, because nighttime was when my friend would have killed himself and the feeling of waking up to the missed phone call, the sound of my mom's voice, collapsing on the ground.....it was shattering my reality. My heart closed and told me that " we can never experience that again".
All of this kind of came to a culmination, I had spiraling thoughts that my family member was going to die at a marathon and called him and told him my fears, how I felt, my truth, and he said "of course you have PTSD!" But I can't accept it and I don't know why. Have I been living with it and didn't know?
thank you for reading

2023.03.31 17:50 wipecraft How to fly like a normal flying being
Among the poorest choice of controls in this game, flying definitely takes first prize.
If you play on PC, you're in luck. With only 4 lines of text you can make your character fly just like in any other normal game: with your mouse
First, make sure that you haven't assigned alternate controls for flying in the game (as in, you only have one set of controls, not two keys doing same thing). Also make sure that the game is not running
Open the Input.ini file with Nodepad or any other plain text editor located at "%appdata%\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini"
This file contains both controller mappings AND keyboard/mouse mappings
Add the following 4 lines at the end of the file, do not modify the order:
AxisMappings=(AxisName="Mount_Move_X",Scale=1.000000,Key=MouseX,GroupName="MountsCore",SortIndex=20) AxisMappings=(AxisName="Mount_Move_X",Scale=-1.000000,Key=MouseX,GroupName="MountsCore",SortIndex=20) AxisMappings=(AxisName="MountVertical",Scale=1.000000,Key=MouseY,GroupName="MountsVertical",SortIndex=30) AxisMappings=(AxisName="MountVertical",Scale=-1.000000,Key=MouseY,GroupName="MountsVertical",SortIndex=30)
Start the game, pick up the broom and move your mouse. Surprise! you no longer need to press A for going left, D for going right, Space to go up, Control to go down. just move your mouse instead. Moving mouse up will fly up, moving mouse down will fly down (and accelerate), moving mouse left will steer left AND move camera left, same for right
You still need to hold W (or whatever you assigned) to move forward and Space to launch yourself in the air but after that mouse takes over.
You can obviously replace the old mappings and get rid of AD Space/Control altogether but the guide above is for people that don't understand what this is. Just look up the mappings with the same axisname in the file and delete them
If the flight controls are inverted, check your settings, you might have inverted them in the settings

https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/march-30-2023 The New York grand jury investigating Trump’s 2016 hush-money payments to adult film actor Stormy Daniels has voted to indict the former president. While we don’t know the full range of charges, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg’s office confirmed that they were forthcoming tonight when it released a statement saying, “This evening we contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender to the Manhattan D.A.’s office for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal.”
This is the first time in history a former United States president has been indicted, although it is worth remembering that it is not new for our justice system to hold elected officials accountable. Mayors have been indicted and convicted. So have governors: in fact, four of the past ten Illinois governors have gone to prison. Vice presidents, too, have been charged with crimes: Aaron Burr was indicted on two counts of murder in 1804 while still in office and was tried for treason afterward. And in 1973, Richard Nixon’s vice president Spiro Agnew resigned after pleading no contest to tax evasion to avoid prison time.
That Trump’s indictment is happening in New York has likely made it harder for Trump to drum up the mobs he has been inciting to defend him. New York City notoriously dislikes the former real estate man. Voters of Tomorrow official Victor Shi was at the Manhattan district attorney’s office this evening and found no one protesting. When people did show up, he tweeted, they were not Trump supporters. They were women carrying signs that said, “‘Trump is guilty’ and ‘The Time Is Now,’” he wrote. “People in the background are chanting, ‘Way to go, ladies!’ NYC is rejoicing.”
New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, to whom Trump people feel comfortable talking, said that the Trump camp at Mar-a-Lago is “in…shock” at the news. They thought yesterday’s announcement that the grand jury will go on a break in early April indicated that nothing would happen before the jury reconvened. As Haberman points out, Trump has been afraid of indictments for many years, and while some speculate this indictment might help his political profile (I disagree with that, by the way), he is unhappy to see it finally arrive. He did, though, immediately start fundraising off it.
Trump also released quite a long, antisemitic statement blaming “Radical Left Democrats” for a “Witch-Hunt” and saying this is “blatant Election interference.” House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) also quickly reinforced Trump's argument, saying that Bragg had “irreparably damaged our country in an attempt to interfere in our Presidential election,” and a number of other Republican officials reinforced that sentiment.
That is quite a position to take. The vote to indict came not from Bragg himself, but from a grand jury made up of ordinary Americans, and none of us knows what’s in the indictment, so one can hardly object to it in good faith.
CNN reporter Melanie Zanona reports that Trump has been working the phones tonight, reaching out to Republican allies to shore up support. Some of them, of course, are trying to discredit Bragg’s work by investigating him. Trump is at his company’s property in Florida, Mar-a-Lago. Florida governor Ron DeSantis echoed Trump’s antisemitism and accusations, tweeting that Florida would “not assist in an extradition request.” But Article IV, Section 2, of the United States Constitution says, “A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.”
So either DeSantis is planning to violate the Constitution, or he recognizes that Trump will probably return to New York voluntarily, or—and this is the most likely—he is posturing to pick up Trump voters while secretly rejoicing that this will likely make it harder for Trump to win the Republican presidential nomination. While all eyes were on Trump this evening, paperwork was filed in the Florida Senate to begin the process of revising election laws, possibly so that DeSantis can run for president without resigning as governor, as under current Florida law he must.
But there was something striking about Trump’s statement. In blaming the “Radical Left Democrats” for their “Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement,” he wrote, “You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this.”
It's not a list to be proud of, but that wording—“you remember it just like I do”—jumped out. Trump always goes back to what he calls the Russia hoax, his second attempt to rewrite the way people thought about his presidency (the first was the size of the crowd at his inauguration).
From the very start of his presidency, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation caught Trump's then–national security advisor Michael Flynn lying about his contact with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, more and more information has come out tying the Trump campaign to Russian operatives. As it did, Trump insisted that his followers must believe that all that information was a lie. If they believed his lies rather than the truth over the Russia scandal, they would trust him rather than believe the truth about everything.
The 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine has given a new frame to Russia’s attempts to interfere in the 2016 election. A piece by Jim Rutenberg in the
New York Times Magazine in November 2022 pulled together testimony given both to the Mueller investigation and the Republican-dominated Senate Intelligence Committee, transcripts from the impeachment hearings, and recent memoirs. Rutenberg showed that in 2016, Russian operatives had presented to Trump advisor and later campaign manager Paul Manafort a plan “for the creation of an autonomous republic in Ukraine’s east, giving Putin effective control of the country’s industrial heartland, where Kremlin-armed, -funded, and -directed “separatists” were waging a two-year-old shadow war that had left nearly 10,000 dead.”
In exchange for weakening the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), undermining the U.S. stance in favor of Ukraine in its attempt to throw off the Russians who had invaded in 2014, and removing U.S. sanctions from Russian entities, Russian operatives were willing to put their finger on the scale to help Trump win the White House.
Rutenberg notes that Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine looks a lot like a way to achieve the plan it suggested in 2016 but, thanks to a different president in the U.S., that invasion did not yield the results Russian president Vladimir Putin expected. The Russian economy is crumbling, and Tuesday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Russia's Wagner group of mercenaries is "suffering an enormous amount of casualties in the Bakhmut area.” He called it a “slaughter-fest" for the Russians. Today, Putin issued an order to conscript another 147,000 soldiers by July 15.
Pressure on Putin continues to mount. The International Criminal Court’s March 17 arrest warrant against him and his children’s rights commissioner, Maria Lvova-Belova, for war crimes apparently caught Russian leadership by surprise. It isolates Russia and worries other Russian lawmakers that they will be charged as well, weakening their support for Putin. “Now proximity to the president isn’t just talk,” one political strategist said, “it’s a real step towards being prosecuted by international law enforcement.”
And President of the European Commission (which is the executive of the European Union) Ursula von der Leyen today warned that as the European Union rethinks its trade policies, China could find itself isolated as well if it continues to support Russia. “How China continues to interact with Putin’s war will be a determining factor for EU-China relations going forward,” she said.
Meanwhile, Turkey today dropped its opposition to Finland’s membership in NATO, a membership Finland has pursued in the wake of Russia’s recent aggression. Finland shares an 830-mile border with Russia, and now it will be part of NATO.
Under such pressure, Russia today took the extraordinary step of detaining American journalist Evan Gershkovich, a reporter for the
Wall Street Journal, accusing him of spying. Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed deep concern and urged U.S. citizens living or traveling in Russia to “leave immediately.”
Yesterday, another study of the Russian invasion of Ukraine invited us to look backward as well as forward. Britain’s Royal United Services Institute, a government-affiliated think tank, released a report on Russia’s “covert and clandestine operations, psychological operations, subversion, sabotage, special operations and intelligence and counterintelligence activities” designed to destabilize Ukraine and take it over. The report’s focus was on the current war in Ukraine, but as Josh Kovensky of
Talking Points Memo notes, it establishes that some of the same people behind the destabilization of Ukrainian politics were part of Trump’s world. Notably, Russian operative Andrii Derkach not only worked to grab Ukraine for Russia, but also escorted Trump ally Rudy Giuliani around Ukraine in 2019 to dig up dirt on Biden.
In the end, as legal dominoes begin to fall, it might be that Americans do not, in fact, remember the history of his presidency from “Russia, Russia, Russia” forward the same way Trump does.

2023.03.31 17:48 cmm324 Same pokemon hatched from 12km eggs 4-5 times in a row
Hi, I recently started playing again with my daughters after about 4 years. I picked up numerous 12km eggs from research or pokestops. I have literally gotten a 750-800 Pawniard 4-5 times in a row. Any idea what is going on? Is there a known bug? It is driving me mad investing in the better incubators only to get the same pokemon every time.
