It's been almost 1.5 years since I got me Legion 5 pro (rtx 3070). Cleaned it a few times as it can get dusty here. First, cleaning would do the trick in maintaining temps, but now, with all the checks (cooler, cleaning), temps hover over 95 degrees for CPU and 86 for GPU (which is the limit set by nvidia cards). Running fans at full speed (Legion Fan Control) can reduce those temps 3-4 degrees but that sound is too damn loud.
So now, exploring options for a repaste. Previously, I had an HP Omen to which i used thermal grizzly conductonaut, and it performed well until I sold that and got the legion. However, for legion, there are a lot of reports encouraging people to not to get a repaste. I am out of options (no warranty and no lenovo officially in my country). Just looking for more feedback from those who have actually done a repaste of their lenovo laptop (preferably, with liquid metal) and what results did they get?

Hi brains trust. Looking for some help. We have 1 year left on our $250,000 home loan with a interest rate of 2.10%. It is a fixed mortgage so no offset account.
We have 1 savings account with $10,000 in it with an interest rate of 4ish %. We have others but they are for specific things. This is an extra account.
Would it be financially smart to just pay the $10,000 ( it's all we can pay extra without additional fees) when the new year starts on our mortgage and then just put the extra payments fortnightly we would of made into the savings account?

Does anyone have any experience tuning a Mercedes Benz SLK 250 CDI BlueEFF AMG?
Is 300bhp+ achievable? What work would need to be done and roughly how much would it cost?
I can only find info for a remap which takes it from 201bhp to 255bhp. I'm not too sure what else can be done to a diesel engine tuning wise?
P.s this question is for the diesel (good mpg) but open to suggestions on the equivalent petrol engine which is slower on paper.

This is a question about melee characters fighting multiple encounters with creatures of CR17 or higher.
While building for AC is a great way to improve survivability as a melee character when you have less than 3 digits of hp, there presumably is a point where a Hide-Armor of Bludgeoning Resistance would be preferabele over a Full Plate +3 even with a dex of 10.
I as a DM have 2 players playing high AC melees. One is an armorer artificer, with 14 con. The other a sword and board rangefighter, that has the Shield spell and 18 con. The difference in HP between the artificer and the ranger is already causing a noticeable difference in turns spent on the floor for the artificer. Especially since Armorer has an actual taunt mechanic on every hit, this will only get worse for them going forwards.
Both are effectively half-casters that rely on melee attacks so this isn't about martial vs. caster (even though artificers seem like casters)

I would like to create a general house rule that solves not just my current issue, but that I could carry forwards into a next campaign.

With the goal to somehow give a non AC survivabily benefit that scales with level based on armor type, to help tanky characters remain tanky even when AC matters less.

Giving a smaller bonus to the ranger for their medium armor and shield, and a bigger bonus to the artificer for their heavy armor and shield.
I'm thinking holding a shield gives +1 (temp) max hp per level (of the class that granted you shield proficiency), and full plate gives +4 (temp) max hp per level (of the class that granted you proficiency), while half-plate gives 2.5 (rounding after totaling) Where the temp part means that if you equip/unequip the item your HP reverts, like the Aid and Heroes Feast spells.
Is this a good idea/bad idea? Aside from it being a dick move towards monks, is there any major problems I missed about his rule?
I think it could be an interesting way to change how my players look at dipping 1 cleric level to be a wizard in heavy armor, or about how AC from Mage Armor, Shield and Bladesong actually impacts survivability.

Hi all. I had my probationary licence suspended for 6 months for drink driving back in 2013. I got my licence back in 2015 and I cancelled it in 2018, haven't driven since initially losing my licence so I have not completed the alcohol interlock program. I was wondering if the stain that is the interlock flag on my licence can expire or would I have to complete it regardless. I've been told I will have to get my learners permit and go through all that again. My question is, will my newly obtained learners permit have an AI requirement.
