2023.03.19 01:43 westside1931 Gambino Family Ceremonies (1931 - 1957)

List of Gambino ceremonies from 1931 to 1957.
More information will be added as it becomes available.
c. 1942/1943
Amato was likely among the first made when the books reopened sometime in the early 1940s.
c. 1947
Another informant claimed that Gallo was inducted into the Gambino family around 1935.
These men may have been made in the same ceremony.
c. 1947 - 1949
Surrusco and Crapanzano may have been part of the 1947 Gagliardi-Gallo-Armone ceremony.
DiBono’s name is not confirmed, though the name fits a redacted name made c. 1947-1949 well. As of now, no other names fit. DiBono’s age also fits.
1949
Giordano may have been sponsored by his brother-in-law Joseph Armone.
1950
These men were all likely sponsored for membership by Antonino ‘Zu Nino’ Indelicato.
Men possibly made in this ceremony are Dominick Castore (39y) and Joseph Gennaro (50y).
This induction ceremony was discovered by LCNBios / JD.
1953
Spallino’s name is not confirmed but matches a redacted name made in 1953.
c. 1955
c. 1955/1956
c. June 1957 (Same Ceremony)
Galgano’s name not confirmed but he is mentioned several times in the Pipolo-Mascia paragraph re- their induction. If not an inductee he was likely a sponsor or attendee.
c. 1957

1950s (Purchased Membership)

c. 1940s / 1950s

c. 1950s (Transferred Membership)

2023.01.09 17:43 incorrect_wolverine Weekly Transit Pass/transit question (already searched/googled)

Ive been looking up transit options for my trip and after some searching I still have a few questions for my poor unfamiliar middle-of-nowhere-north america brain.
1) I know you can get it at "kiosks news stands corner stores and metro/train stations". But Im wondering how early in the day I might be able to get one and if places take cash (*i wont be using a credit card). I am also just wanting to confirm about validation and that once its been validated in any form of transit you do not have to validate it again (except in like turnstiles/trains that do it automatically of course)?
2) I will be taking the train from the airport to San Pietro (trenitalia) and am wondering if I will be to also use cash (as in a person at a ticket counter vs just a machine) and what are the odds that I wont be able to buy a ticket to get out of the airport (as in sold out). I can also purchase it online before I go but I dont want to risk being late etc due to delayed flights. Im landing at 7:30 pm.
3) I will be taking the Roma - Lido train to Ostia Antica and just want to confirm a few things. The weekly pass works for this line correct (and any other form of cummuter train/public transport within city limits)? It departs from the Sao Paolo station beside Piramide metro station and runs roughly every 15 - 30 minutes? Ive heard conflicting accounts of the length of the trip too. Its roughly a half hour?
4) I am wondering why google maps is so inconsistent for the city? It does not show all the commuter train lines and I dont think it shows the comlete metro system either. It give me brutal trip options in certain areas too. I get some places just have bad luck but Im right between and left of San pietro train station and the vatican. Do you have any app suggestions?
5) I checked out the tickappy app and it seems pretty cool. However there is no Weekly pass option on the app. Only single 24 48 72 monthly passes.

2022.12.21 09:58 Throwingforrgd Recommendation for last minute Roadtrip in Northern Baja?

I'm planning a last minute roadtrip down to Baja from LA. As of now the plan is one night in Mexicali, two nights in San Felipe, two nights in Ensenada and NYE in Rosarito. I have a lot of questions I can't find answers to online, and looking for recommendations on things to do and places to see:
-Only reason we're going to Mexicali is to hike Canon De Guadalupe and Cerro Pietro. Anything else good to see in Mexicali? Great restaurants or bars? Tequila tastings?
-Is Laguna Salado accessible with 2wd vehicle? If so, how do you drive there? Any good hiking trails around the lake that aren't over 8 miles?
-Cool stops along the way between Mexicali and San Felipe?
-Is it possible to kayak to isla Consag? Or are there boat tours?
-Cool places to stop between San Felipe and Ensenada? Hiking trails preferred, especially mountains. I'm an avid hiker, my travel buddy is moderate.
-Best wineries for tastings in Valle De Guadalupe? Any must see/ eat while there?
-NYE parties in Rosarito that are more laid back than club-ish? Like fireworks on the beach with some drinks and food.
-Best place to eat in TJ before sitting in the border crossing traffic for 3 hours while hungover on new years day?
Any advice here will be greatly appreciated! Also, happy to meet friends along the way to adventure with if anyone is around there 🙂
