I have a group of friends where we share private things from friends like people we like or heavy and inside jokes, a fatality ended up happening where an instagram account leaked a compromising print of our whatsapp group, when we tried to access that account without knowing the password to try to find out who it was, there was the end of the number of one of our members and when we went to check the sms and the account both were on his cell phone. Could someone have created this account with his number without him knowing? our now ex-partner is suffering a lot and despite everything pointing to him, he insists on saying that it wasn't him, which makes the group members very sad about the situation and afraid that we are committing an injustice
sorry for my bad english

2023.03.27 21:07 ChildishLandino What degree/certifications would be best if I want to do tech sales for AI products?
I realize that the answer may be obvious—an Artificial Intelligence or Machine-learning degree—but I thought it would be worth asking everyone here on
cscareerquestions. If I am only wanting to be a salesman for these tech companies, would it be best to take a degree adjacent to the product I'm selling, or some business-related degree to help me understand my target market better? Say, Workforce Optimization or Business Intelligence.
I'm looking forward to your input. Thanks!

2023.03.27 18:37 curious_ml Revolut Live Coding Interview Hints
Hello guys!
Сan anybody give any hint/share experience related to the live coding challenge that Revolut incorporates? Particularly interested in experience related to Data Science/ML roles.
The recruiter assured me, that it will be classical leetcode-style algo/ds interview (and shared some materials, where this info is repeated).
Example tasks from previous experience are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
P. S. Some of my own findings, that might be helpful for future candidates (and give a little bit of context):
- Currently on leetcode there are 0 "revolut"-tagged problems (really unexpected: even for a lot more random companies usually it was a good starting point).
- On glassdoor DS interviews sections not much information is available: some people mentioning presence of coding section but only specific thing was "Remove a node from the linked list" (which is... seems a little bit too easy for a leetcode-style interview, but ok). Some people mentioning domain-specific questions related to ml/ds tho, which might be useful for the following sections.
- On glassdoor SWE interviews section (and reddit/leetcode discussion) some information is available, but unfortunately it doesn't seem particularly relevant in case of "leetcode style algo/ds interview". Basically two practical tasks that are mentioned multiply times: implementation of URL shortening service, implementation of LoadBalancer (to my best knowledge this type of tasks usually is not considered related to algo/ds interview and called "Object Oriented Design"). Also some theoretical SWE-specific questions.
Seems like the coding challenges for DS and SWE positions might be different (OOD for SWE vs algo/ds for DS/MLE). And also that DS process was different previously (without any coding section at all, only domain-specific theory) and changed recently. It explains absence of revolut tagged tasks on leetcode.

2023.03.27 13:01 Notalabel_4566 I asked in r/cscareerquestions "In what ways do you use ChatGPT at work?" and here are the best responses:
- Asking cloud networking questions instead of reading lengthy 10 page AWS documentation articles.
- Feeding it documentation that was released after its data cutoff for tasks like generating Regex and CSS code or centering divs as a backend dev.
- Having it write all those BS corporate things like self evals, emails, and other managerial tasks.
- Using it as a Stackoverflow replacement or a faster way to learn new technologies by asking for tutorials or troubleshooting issues.
- Using it to write scripts or SQL queries, and even to clean up thousands of rows of Excel data or rewrite outdated documentation.
- Asking for examples of interview questions and answers and generating tricky SQL queries or complex Typescript type definitions.
- Using it for annoying refactoring that can't readily be done by conventional IDEs or to answer questions about open specifications and generate examples for them.
- Using it as a reasoning engine to help solve problems that are more abstract and not well-defined or to explain concepts I'm unfamiliar with in a Socratic-like dialogue.
- Using it to suggest names when naming isn't immediately obvious to me, and even to convert code from one language to another.
So how do you use chatgpt at work?

2023.03.27 04:01 LongInvestment Bootcamp advice
Wanted to share some advice about tackling bootcamp and breaking into the industry.
I made a post awhile back on
cscareerquestions and wanted to reshare main points I think could benefit some individuals here.
Here's original post:
https://www.reddit.com/cscareerquestions/comments/pj6w2s/personal_breakdown_cs_degree_vs_bootcamp_vs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 Personal advice
While it is an option to get into this field without a degree or with a Bootcamp. I'd personally recommend if you want to go into the web dev route at least 4 months of learning basic web dev.
Take a crack at
HTML/CSS
Bootstrap
Javascript
intro to SQL
Introduce yourself to GITHUB (seriously haha)
Take notes (Lots of terminologies to remember)
(Udemy courses/ youtube/ freecodecamp etc.)
My experience at my 12-week Bootcamp was it was very fast-paced. I don't think I would've passed if I hadn't been introduced to some knowledge from friend B in previous months. While fundamentals you learn at beginning of your journey are key, you never stop learning and you learn 2x as much when you start your actual job.
The class workflow was a few hours of learning followed by completing code assignments that weren't graded then ended the week with hackerrank questions/creating applications...IMO those hackerrank questions were low-level questions...like you needed google for those but you couldn't google during tests.
I also think surrounding yourself with the right group of people is underestimated...I joined multiple discord servers and asked for help when starting out... What you learn now vs what you do later will be different in many ways. Be ready to be a fast learner on the job and showcase you are willing to ask questions.
I asked for personal advice on this Reddit group as well. At the end of the, I personally believe if you dedicate a good portion of time to learn and your "why" is big enough you'll always make it. Also since friend B got into this field before all of us. We all ended practicing interview questions together a couple of times before each interview.
Take a look at your financial situation. I personally got lucky to attend a Bootcamp that pays full tuition and present to the company. I didn't even know that was an option tbh (I got reached out to via LinkedIn so make sure you are actively reaching out/ checking your inbox). If you don't have the means to afford to take Bootcamp or to attend higher education. Find personal mentors and go the self-taught route. You can also self-learn and save up for Bootcamp.
Please take this with a grain of salt. If you snoop through my profile you can clearly see my genuine curiosity about this field beginning of 2020 and reaching out to ask questions. I'm not here to take away from anyone else's experiences at this. Just wanted to share some light on different options out there. Your journey will be personal to you and only you. Hope someone who reads this can take some inspiration and continue to grind! Don't beat yourself if you can't understand something the first time around.

2023.03.26 23:02 SufficientOrchid7933 Drowning in a Sea of Expectations: How ADHD Affects My Programming Career and the Pursuit of Success
Hey fellow ADHD_Programmers! I'm a 31-year-old programmer with ADHD, and I've been struggling with some thoughts about my career that I'd like to share with you. I hope that some of you can relate and maybe even offer some advice or insight.
My journey has been far from easy, and one of the hardest parts has been trying to figure out how anyone can manage to sit at their desk for 8 hours and get work done. The constant battle with focus and motivation feels never-ending. Over the past nine years, I've gained experience across four jobs and, in the past year, managed to job-hop my way into a senior position. Despite my progress, I feel extremely inadequate compared to my fellow senior engineers and staff engineers. It's like having 1 year of experience, repeated nine times, rather than 9 years of cumulative experience.
My team is full of type A overachievers who have been working together on the applications for several years, and it's intimidating. They have developed a lot of tribal knowledge, but there's no proper onboarding process to help me catch up. I'm hesitant to ask questions for fear of appearing incompetent. When I do muster up the courage to ask, I sometimes get chastised for it, which only compounds my insecurities. It doesn't help that my manager places a lot of emphasis on my senior title, expecting me to figure things out on the fly without any guidance. This "sink or swim" mentality has left me feeling like I haven't learned anything in the nine months I've been here.
Even though I received a positive performance review, I can't shake the feeling that it's only because my manager doesn't have much to base it on. The whole situation has left me questioning if I hate programming itself or just my current job. I've never felt this way about any of my previous positions.
I've considered the idea that I might thrive in a management role, but when I asked for advice on
cscareerquestions, I received mixed feedback. Some people seemed to think that just because I struggle with programming, I couldn't possibly manage a team of programmers. Others argued that being a good developer doesn't guarantee success as a manager. It's frustrating.
One of the few positives of my current job is that it's with a stable company. However, the thought of going through the anxiety-inducing interview process to find a new position feels overwhelming. The competitive job market, coupled with my past experiences of sending out countless applications and receiving only a few interviews, has left me hesitant to search for something new.
It seems like everyone in this industry is always working and excited about things that bore me to tears. I feel like I'm not good at anything because there's such a high expectation to excel in every area, from backend to frontend, devops, architecture, and testing. While my performance review indicates that I'm doing okay so far, I'm sure that I don't measure up to my peers. It feels like I'm drowning, and I don't know what to do.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or advice on how to navigate these challenges as a programmer with ADHD, especially when it comes to dealing with a team that has a lot of tribal knowledge and no proper onboarding process. Thanks for reading!
