Role of Almond Soap in Your Skincare Regimen

Role of Almond Soap in Your Skincare Regimen
Have you ever wondered if there’s a secret potion that may change your skincare regimen into a lavish treat? Imagine a skincare superhero that’s gentle yet powerful, natural yet effective. Well, there is, and it is called almond soap! Yes, that’s right! This little bar of greatness can transform your skincare routine into something special. It can give you radiant, glowing skin that will make heads turn.
But you may question how can almond soap transform your skincare regime. Well, this article will examine the role of almond soap in your everyday regimen. So, get ready to discover the fantastic benefits of almond soap for your skin.

How can Almonds Help Your Skin Stay Healthy and Young?

Packed with nourishing properties, almonds have been cherished for centuries as a skincare secret. Here are some powerful ways almonds can work their magic on your skin:

1. Nourishment from Within

Almonds contain vitamin E, antioxidants, and healthy fats that nurture your skin. Incorporating almonds into your diet or skincare routine can give your skin the vital building blocks to stay healthy and radiant.

2. Moisture Locking Marvels

Dehydrated skin can make you look older and dull. Almonds have natural emollient properties that lock in moisture and hydrate your skin. Moreover, it can help you repair your skin’s moisture barrier, leaving it smooth, supple, and young.

3. Gentle Exfoliation

Bid farewell to dead skin cells and hello to a fresh, glowing complexion with the exfoliating power of almonds. Ground almond powder or almond-based scrubs gently slough off dead skin cells, unclog pores, and reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath. It’s a natural and effective way to achieve that enviable youthful glow.

4. Youthful Elasticity

Your skin loses elasticity as you age, forming fine lines and wrinkles. Almonds can help combat this by stimulating collagen and elastin production. These two proteins are responsible for maintaining skin firmness and elasticity. Regular use of almond-infused products can promote a more youthful and toned complexion.

5. Skin Repair and Protection

Almonds boast potent antioxidant properties, protecting your skin from harmful free radicals contributing to premature aging. These antioxidants and almond vitamins and minerals repair damaged skin cells, decrease inflammation, and keep skin healthy.

6. Dark Circle Diminisher

Those pesky dark circles under your eyes can make you look tired and aged. Luckily, almonds come to the rescue once again! The vitamin E and other nourishing compounds in almonds can help reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, leaving your eyes refreshed and rejuvenated.

2023.06.09 09:18 TuzaHu LESSON MY TWO BOYS TAUGHT ME A YEAR AFTER THEY DIED

1989 my two beautiful boys, age 7 and 9 were playing in the yard when an intoxicated man decided to drive his car, fell asleep and take their lives. My world changed at that moment. Family drama with shame and blame didn't help but I made it through the necessary acts to bury my boys. I froze up. I simply froze up. I took a leave of absence from my job as an RN in a hospital, my supervisor was so understanding and supportive. At home I had paint and covered with windows to let no light in and I sat in darkness for a year never leaving the house. My friends were wonderful, they fed me. They went shopping and brought me food, I ordered pizza. I sat in the dark not knowing if it was night or day. My friends never pushed me to do more than I could, they just fed me, visited, brought groceries and items I needed and let me work myself out of being frozen.
A year later, I was watching a talk show one morning. I didn't have cable so I had to only watch local stations. I was laying on the living room sofa and noticed some sparkling lights up in the corner of the room. I thought it was an electrical fire and sat up quickly to get a better view. It looked like sparklers burning, lots of them, beautiful white lights growing larger and in number until they were about a yard wide and 2 feet tall, a bundle of thousands of white, silver like sparkles flashing brightly. From this light source I clearly heard the voices of two men, maybe both upper 20's in age, very articulate, well educated and professional. They both took turns talking to me, very abruptly, sternly, with force, meaning and impatience with me. It was like I was being severely reprimanded. In part they said, "You have been holding us back from very important business we MUST attend to. We can not do the work we need to do that is so very important as you are constantly holding us back. We can not allow this to continue, you have to let go of us so we can move into our jobs and do the work we are suppose to be doing. Your constant attachment and holding on has stifled our ability to work and what we need to do is so very important. You just have to let go and let us move on. You are in the way of the great work we are assigned to do." I was being sternly spoken to by my two boys that now sounded like young executives. The only 'nice' thing they said to me was one of them said, "We appreciate what you did for us but now you just have to let us go."
I was berated on and on, like I was in court or in trouble at work in an HR meeting. It was not pleasant but it got my attention pronto. I replied, "I'm so sorry, I had no idea, yes, of course I'll let you do what you need to do. I miss you both so much but I had no idea I was holding you back from what you needed to be doing." It was like being pulled over by the cops, and told I did something wrong and I was trying to make it right. I admitted I was holding on to them but had no idea it was causing them grief from where they are now. Their voices stopped, the sparkling light diminished in size and brightness into just being a plain corner of the wall. I put my hand on that spot, it felt like a normal wall.
I got in the shower, got cleaned up, had to call someone to jump my car as it's not been started in over a year and drove to my old work place to put in an application again. My supervisor had moved on. I did a quick interview and got hired again. I started orientation the next day.
The encounter with my two boys was a jolt to my system. I went from frozen to thawed quickly. My deep mourning of my sons immediately changed to missing them, in a healthy way. There was no thinking about it, the stern talking to I got, the lecture, the demand that I let them move on let me move on, too. Giving them their freedom to do the work they have to do gave me the freedom to do the work I have to do still, too. I enjoyed letting the light back into my house as I slowly started using a razor blade to scrape the paint off the windows. It took months but it was so healing to turn from darkness to light again.
Hospice concepts were coming to America at that time, from the UK. I followed up with a local hospice and soon was the charge RN a 10 bed inpatient unit for terminally ill patients. I was a Hospice RN for 17 years, including 5 years as a pediatric Hospice Nurse. The loss of my children gave me the insight to support others that are transitioning into their next life, or career as I see it now. I had many, many amazing experience with many of my patients spreading their wings and practicing moving on before and after their deaths. My experience with my boys gave me the strength to support my dying patients and the family and friends they were leaving behind.
I've not seen my boys since. I don't want to disturb them from the work they need to do. That lecture I got that day was enough!! Of course I think of them so often but never clinging, but now knowing they matured, grew up, and have important work they do that is valuable to them wherever they are. That makes me smile. I hope my story can brighten someone else. We go on, there is no end.
I did an interview about being a Hospice RN and some of the spirit encounters I've had, including this story about my boys. I know I'm not allowed to provide the link, it's on YouTube.

2023.06.09 09:18 Crondavrayy Is it fair to assume there is something wrong with a man who is in a relationship with a much younger woman?

I'm kind of torn on this because I understand there are a LOT of instances where a young 20-something woman/girl is manipulated and taken advantage of by much older men, so I understand peoples distrust. However, I also believe there are some instances where a relationship between a grown man over 30 and a woman in her 20s can work and be perfectly healthy. I don't assume a 35 year old man in immature or a predator for dating a 25 year old woman. Yes, I know 25 is young, but still an adult who is capable of making her own decisions. The 35 year old can also be a very good and well-adjusted human being who just happened to meet and hit it off with someone much younger.
I also don't think there is necessarily a huge mental or physical divide between someone in their mid-30s vs a 20-something. Again, both adults and no teenagers involved, which WOULD be creepy.
I am biased myself because I am currently 33 and in a relationship with a woman who just turned 25, and I get why some people are weirded out by it. Kinda of nervous about bringing her with me to my 15th Highschool reunion in a week because im not sure how people will react to our age gap.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

2023.06.09 09:16 Obejugadai Harassment: Uncovering Troubling Realities

Harassment: Uncovering Troubling Realities
In recent times, a matter of significant importance has surfaced, involving individuals who possess substantial resources, including legal support and a powerful platform called Kick, which continues to endorse and support them despite their questionable behavior. Moreover, these individuals have adeptly manipulated the narrative surrounding the events to their viewers, persistently portraying themselves as victims. The purpose of this post is to critically examine their actions and illuminate the true events that unfolded during their live stream in Nepal, with the aim of raising awareness about these issues.

All personal information has been muted or deleted and the victim's faces have been pixelated.

The motivation behind this post arises from personal observations, as I have witnessed distressing events during these live streams and videos from Youtube. Over the past few weeks, I have personally grappled with anxiety attacks, prompting profound reflection on the occurrences and inspiring me to provide an account from my perspective. Since embarking on this journey, my mental well-being has significantly improved. It is crucial to emphasize that my intentions are not driven by personal gain, financial interests, or seeking consultation. In fact, one of the victims themselves urged me to share the video to facilitate their apprehension.
__________________________________________________________________
The Live stream
Part 1: (Reddit allows only 15-minute videos)

Part 1
Part 2:

Part 2

The primary focus of this discussion is to draw attention to the dangers associated with sharing private information with strangers. It is crucial to recognize warning signs when strangers broach subjects such as alcohol, relationships, or sex, or taking them abroad, giving gifts, particularly when interacting with minors or vulnerable individuals. While in Nepal, we have long embraced foreigners and treated them as esteemed guests. However, it is high time we adopt a more cautious approach, particularly when it comes to the safety of our young children and young adults. Just like we take precautions with our fellow Nepalese. I kindly urge individuals residing in affected areas to display signs or distribute pamphlets to raise awareness. If you see any of these actions taking place in front of you or see them online on youtube, I would encourage you to record their conversation and report it to the local police ASAP. If you wish to contribute, I recommend directing donations to Maiti Nepal, an organization that has played a significant role in assisting the victims in this case.

As an inquisitive individual, I found myself browsing YouTube, where I stumbled upon a video featuring Ice Posiedon in Nepal. Intrigued, I delved into the live stream, which subsequently led me to Kick. I must admit that I was unfamiliar with any of these streamers, except for Ice Poseidon. At that time, two specific streamers, Sam Pepers, and River Stone McKeever, were broadcasting their experiences in Kathmandu. Due to poor internet connectivity, I found myself switching between their streams. As the morning progressed and local stores opened for the day, Sam was occupied with fixing his equipment in New Road, while River McKeever ventured towards Basantapur. The video footage captures River engaging in disturbing behavior, referring to young girls as "jawns" and "jawntent" for content involving such girls, expressing his affection to random young girls on the street, and even proposing marriage. These interactions occurred within a one to two-hour timeframe. It is important to note that I was unable to watch the majority of the stream that day, so not all interactions are included in the aforementioned video.

Throughout the stream, while primarily following Sam's stream whenever possible, I noticed numerous chat messages alerting him to River's alleged harassment of underage girls. Unfortunately, I did not personally witness these incidents, except for the ones I had recorded in the beginning. I was either occupied or engrossed in Sam's stream. As night fell, they proceeded to solicit prostitutes, an act that is, incidentally, illegal in Nepal.

On the following day of the stream, a confrontation took place between Sam and River McKeever regarding allegations of harassing underage girls. I did not witness this live stream but watched the video on youtube after the 3 streamers were arrested. Subsequently, when Avrom Merlin, also known as Suspendas, arrived in Kathmandu, their behavior underwent a noticeable shift. River and Avrom were observed becoming more comfortable in their harassment of young girls, engaging in inappropriate rapping on the street, and displaying troubling conduct. Moreover, they approached several young girls, discussing the possibility of purchasing iPhones for them.

It is imperative to acknowledge the abrupt change in Avrom's demeanor within a mere 10-12 hours of his arrival as if he suddenly became cognizant of the consequences of their actions in Nepal. It is pertinent to note that another guy named Harrison aka coolslick who accompanied them that night, asserted that Nepal would turn a blind eye to the conduct of tourists due to their economic contributions. However, such a statement is unfounded and detached from reality.

Subsequently, the following day as we all witnessed a series of distressing incidents as they targeted additional girls during their visit to Swayambhunath Temple and its surroundings. The streamer named Harrison aka STD Andy/Coolslick joined them that day. He is no stranger in regard to talking about minors. Of particular concern is the disconcerting interaction documented during their third encounter on the temple grounds. The victims, two sisters, explicitly stated that one of them was underage by emphatically stating, "NOT MATURE TO DATE." Despite this explicit knowledge, the harassers persisted, raising the topic of alcohol. They did this with a pattern for multiple girls they talked to. In the video, the older sister clarifies the legal drinking age, while McKeever nonchalantly assumes that they are of legal age. Even in the face of uncertainty, he dismissively remarks, "I don't know what class 10 (Grade 10) is, so I'll go along with it." This flagrant disregard for their own recognition of the victim's immaturity and grade level underscores a manipulative inclination that permeates their live streams. Secondly, talking about incest to minors is a whole new topic.
Below is a deleted Twitter post from Harrison aka Coolslick, STD Andy . He was also known to be racist in his Twitter post. https://www.reddit.com/LivestreamFail/comments/v9htce/comment/ibwjqqw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Deleted Twitter post of Harrison

It's truly disconcerting to imagine all this disgusting footage within just two days of their visit.

These instances shed light on the urgent necessity to address and rectify the alarming behavior displayed by live streamers, YouTubers, or by any individual. Ensuring the safety and protection of Nepalese, especially minors, from potential harm or exploitation is of utmost importance. By raising awareness about these incidents, we aspire to cultivate a culture that prioritizes the well-being of all individuals and advocates for responsible online conduct.

Furthermore, it is crucial to highlight another disconcerting incident documented on YouTube. In this specific video, an older individual inquired about the plans of these underage girls (looks 10-12 years old) for an upcoming Saturday. When the three girls mentioned going to a café, the man persistently broached the subject of alcohol and bars, raising significant concerns of a RED FLAG. When confronted, he attempted to deflect blame by alleging that the girls had suggested going to the bar with him, contradicting the video evidence. Evens saying "when people have bad intentions, they don't film it). Since then, no further videos have been uploaded by this individual.

Recent cases
Another recent case where three girls aged 13, 14 and 17 were held hostage and sexually abused by a Chinese National in Kathmandu. Four other minors were kept hostage in Thamel.
In today's interconnected world, education is often seen as a shield against vulnerability. However, recent incidents serve as a stark reminder that being educated does not make one immune to victimization. Strangers taking you abroad is not a good choice.
Let this serve as a call to action for authorities, policymakers, and society as a whole. We must strengthen safeguards, enhance awareness campaigns, and establish robust support systems to combat exploitation in all its forms.
IF YOU SEE A HARRASMENT of minors or young adults, REPORT IT!

Please keep the comment section clean. I would request the mods to not delete this post but to lock the comments if anything gets out of hand.

2023.06.09 09:16 Ok_Web_8047 so many wrong tracks

I've stumbled across 8 incorrectly titled or attributed songs, which I'll list below if you're curious but I was wondering is if anyone else is insane like me and keeps a count like this ??? idk maybe I've gone too deep down the rabbit holes hahah
(I've reported all of these and some of them have since been fixed)
  1. everybody's somebody's fool -Connie Francis, title misspelling
2.I'm still here (Jim's theme) from treasure planet is on the wrong john rezezniks page. should be on johnny rezezniks page.
  1. Hello young lover is mistitled as young lovers on lesley gore sings of mixed up hearts. (it's even on the album cover??)
  2. 4 songs by Kristoph the demigod and self (rapper) were attributed onto the wrong Selfs (band) page
  3. Korean track listed on "the merry go rounds" page. the band released a singular album in the 60s I don't think they've been collabing or featured with Korean artists decades later haha
(I don't have these memorized I just pop them all onto a playlist cause I'm a little ocd)

2023.06.09 09:16 topman20000 It almost doesn’t seem like anything is worth doing anymore because nobody will care enough to appreciate it

It seems like everything I try to do to get somewhere in life with my skills, I’m always passed up by some young fuck who just takes it away. Some days it feels like the world is telling me to kill myself instead of Hope for any outcome I’ve ever worked for. We don’t have an employment problem in this country. We have a merit problem. And I just can’t get anything I want accomplished anymore. It’s like everyone’s beating me in a rat race I should’ve already won by now.

2023.06.09 09:15 hdjdjr3 Would you lose your virginity with an ugly peron?

Recently i learned that a friend (21) that I met on foreveralone lost his virginity to an extremely ugly person.
Both of them were clear with their intention on not wanting anything serious, met for a couple dates and then had sex.
Apparently they do not regret it and are quite happy to finally be "normal"
I was shocked when I heard the news because:
When I told my friend that I think they did something stupid they told me that as a non FA I cannot understand their struggle. So I want to ask it on here: so you think that their choice was Smart? Would you have done it if you were in their place?

2023.06.09 09:14 ShankaraIndia1 The Benefits of Incorporating Moisturizing Body Products Into Your Skincare Routine

Incorporating moisturizing body products into your skincare regimen is one of the greatest methods to do this. The appropriate body moisturizer may do wonders for your skin, whether you have dry skin, itchy areas, or you just want to keep your skin’s natural moisture balance. Therefore, if you’re eager to discover the numerous advantages of moisturizing body products and how they may improve your skin, keep reading!
We all know that taking care of our skin is important, but did you know that moisturizing your body can be just as crucial as moisturizing your face? Incorporating moisturizing body products into your skincare routine has a host of benefits that can keep your skin healthy and glowing. From locking in moisture to preventing dryness and flakiness, using the right body moisturizer can work wonders. In this blog, we’ll dive into the many benefits of moisturizing body products such as hydrating body wash, moisturizer and why you should consider adding them to your daily skincare routine.

1. Locks in Moisture

One of the most significant benefits of moisturizing body products is that they lock in moisture. Dry skin can be caused by a lack of moisture, and if left untreated, it can lead to itching, flaking, and even cracking. Moisturizing your body daily can help prevent dryness and keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

2. Prevents Flakiness

Using a body moisturizer or cream regularly can also prevent flakiness. When your skin is dry, it can start to flake, which can be unsightly and uncomfortable. By moisturizing your body, you can keep your skin soft and supple, preventing flakiness altogether.

3. Makes Your Skin Look Healthy

Well-moisturized skin looks healthy and radiant. When your skin is dry, it can look dull and lifeless. Using a moisturizing body product can help your skin look plump and healthy, giving it a youthful glow.

4. Can Improve Skin Texture

If you struggle with rough, bumpy skin, incorporating a moisturizing body product into your routine can help improve your skin texture. A good body lotion can smooth out rough patches and improve the overall texture of your skin.

5. Helps Skin Stay Soft and Supple

Moisturizing your body regularly can help keep your skin soft and supple. Soft, supple skin is less prone to cracking and wrinkling, so it’s essential to keep your skin moisturized to maintain its elasticity and youthfulness.

6. Can Help Prevent Skin Aging

Moisturizing body products can help prevent skin ageing by keeping your skin hydrated and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By keeping your skin moisturized, you can help prevent premature ageing and keep your skin looking young and vibrant.
Incorporating a moisturizing body product into your daily skincare routine is an essential step in maintaining healthy, glowing skin. With so many benefits, there’s no reason not to start using body lotion or cream today. So go ahead and treat your skin to some much-needed hydration and see the difference it can make!

F.A.Q

What are moisturizing body products?
Moisturizing body products refer to skincare products specifically formulated to hydrate and nourish the skin on the body, such as body lotions, body butter, body oils, and body creams.
Why should I include moisturizing body products in my skincare routine?
Moisturizing body products help to replenish and retain moisture in the skin, improving its hydration levels. They also help to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, promote smoother and softer skin, and prevent dryness, flakiness, and irritation.
How often should I use moisturizing body products?
The frequency of using moisturizing body products can vary depending on your skin type, climate, and personal preference. In general, it is recommended to apply a moisturizing body product at least once or twice a day, preferably after showering or bathing when the skin is damp.

How Much Do You Know About The Value Of Art Or Summer Classes For Kids?
Art appreciation, creation, and understanding are crucial for young children's development. Young children can learn innovation, critical thinking, and visual learning skills through art education. These skills remain throughout a child's life and can help them succeed more at work. To find out more about how Art Adventures views art education, schedule a tour. There are numerous ways to deliver art lessons. They can also be taught online through homeschooling programs.

Children Who Participate In Art Programs Grow Up To Be Successful Adults

Children enjoy getting their hands messy with paint, but there are many more advantages to art or summer classes for kids than just creating beautiful artwork. Numerous studies now demonstrate that kids who regularly engage in creative pursuits, like painting and drawing classes, improve their problem-solving, risk-taking, visual understanding, inventiveness, and communication abilities. These are crucial life skills that help kids develop into happy, healthy adults.

Your child's Happiness And Self-Esteem Will Rise Thanks To Art

Most importantly, psychologists claim that encouraging kids to express themselves creatively teaches them how to make important decisions throughout their lives and helps them gain a sense of confidence.

Motor Skills Are Improved Through Art Education

Fine-tuned motor skills are facilitated by artistic movements and methods. It takes particular focus and steady hand movements to swirl a paintbrush, color within fine lines, and erase minute details in a drawing. Children can improve their motor skills while creating art in a playful and interesting environment. They gain more dexterity by cutting out and drawing shapes. A child's dexterity develops along with their handwriting, ability to draw more intricate lines, and accuracy of their drawings and paintings. Explore our art store at Art Adventures in Courteney to make your child curious about art.

Even toddlers can use a smartphone or tablet, indicating that children are absorbing visual information even before they can read. This data is made up of cues obtained from images or three-dimensional objects in digital media, books, and television.

Myth That Must Be Dispelled

In most nations, schools are reducing their art curriculum for the wrong reasons. Why should "more important" subjects like math and science take the place of the arts? Studies have recently shown that taking art classes can help students perform better academically. It is important to dispel the notion that art is an indulgence. According to scientific research, artistic endeavours and creative exploration help children develop their brains, emotional intelligence, and social skills. If that isn't enough proof that kids need art, research demonstrates that regular art class attendance improves a child's academic performance, life skills (which translate into more successful lives later in life), and self-esteem.

In The End

School curriculums in North America have shifted heavily in recent years toward common core subjects like reading and math, but what about the arts? Although some may consider art education to be a luxury, simple creative activities are essential for child development. It might be more crucial than ever for the development of the next generation of children to learn how to create and appreciate aesthetics.

2023.06.09 09:10 mineralssmarie Somebody brought their aggressive dog into Home Goods.

I was shopping at Home Goods today with my young child and I start hearing loud barking and growling. Look behind me and there is a big ass dog barking at costumers. The owners were immediately asked to leave, fortunately. Another customer heard my child talking about the “mean dog” and agreed.
I am seeing non service dogs everywhere now in stores they aren’t supposed to be in. Target, grocery stores for fucks sake. The entitlement of dog owners, I swear.
They literally do not care that some people are allergic or afraid of their mean ass dog or just don’t like dogs. Leave your dumb animal at home. I’m sure you can’t because it will tear your house up, but you have no right to inflict your animal on other people.

Morgan Cohen allegedly hooked up with Ashley Suarez ex
After I made a post about Morgan, I got sent these screenshots. They're from a couple weeks ago. Ashley gave a heart to the last message. It seemed like she was trying to figure out how much this person knew. I find it odd they still follow each other. The person who sent me this said that Ashley's good friend Elizabeth Campbell Jones unfollowed Morgan after they had this conversation with Ashley. Could be a coincidence.

2023.06.09 09:07 TuzaHu THE LESSON MY TWO BOYS TAUGHT ME A YEAR AFTER THEY DIED.

“Aliyev regime’s primary goal is not to serve its citizens but to prolong its authoritarian power, supported by foreign patrons, its intellectual subordinates, and a domestic population caught in a state of modern servitude.”
(Lack of) Human Rights and Liberties
According to a statement made by lawyer Elchin Sadigov to Meydan TV, the Baku City General Police Department is currently carrying out searches and conducting investigative measures at various locations linked to jailed activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev. These locations include the house where Bakhtiyar Hajiyev resides in the capital city, his father’s house in Ganja, the apartments of his brother and friends, as well as his car. The lawyer also mentioned that the phones of these individuals had been seized as well. Hajiyev‘s friend Rail Abbasov was detained, and he was denied to see his lawyer.
Member of the Azerbaijan Democracy and Welfare Party and Resistance Movement, Ziyafat Abbasova, has been admitted to a psychiatric dispensary after her disappearance two days ago. The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ press service stated that Ziyafat Abbasova was placed in the psychiatric dispensary based on complaints from several citizens residing in the shelter where she lives concerning her health condition, and she is currently undergoing treatment. Earlier reports indicated that Ziyafat Abbasova had gone missing since the morning of June 6, when she was expected to attend the book presentation by historian Jamil Hasanli, the chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF). However, Abbasova did not attend the book presentation. Ziyafat Abbasova, a member of the Azerbaijan Democracy and Prosperity Party and the Resistance Movement, was placed in a psychiatric dispensary. A day after her disappearance the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified the whereabouts of the political activist, confirming that was admitted to the mental hospital. Abbasova expressed concerns to her family members, stating that she believes the government has intentions to imprison her for an extended period of time or potentially cause harm to her life. Recently, Abbasova has been actively voicing her dissatisfaction with the government on social media, openly expressing her criticism.
Opposition leader and chairperson of the NCDF Jamil Hasanli has issued a statement regarding Abbasova’s case, demanding her immediate release. Hasanli raised several key points in his comment. Firstly, he questioned the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ spokesperson for failing to clarify the basis on which an individual can be involuntarily placed in a psychiatric institution due to a citizen’s complaint. Secondly, he inquired about the entity responsible for assessing Abbasova’s health condition, whether it was the police or a specialized medical institution. Thirdly, he highlighted that the law enforcement agency entrusted with upholding the law seems to be unaware of or intentionally disregarding the legal requirement that only a court decision can authorize the compulsory treatment of a citizen. “Neither the Ministry of Internal Affairs nor its subsidiary, “Bandotdel,” possess the authority to diagnose an individual or send them to a mental institution. Hasanli drew parallels between this situation and past instances where the Soviet KGB abused their power by fabricating mental illnesses to silence dissent and punish free-thinking individuals. Hasanli expressed concern that the current actions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and “Bandotdel” echo this dark chapter in history.
According to numerous human rights defenders, the Aliyev regime has initiated a new wave of repression against the opposition. Lately, a significant number of activists have been detained. Journalist Teymur Karimov was taken into custody by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, commonly referred to as “bandotdel.” Karimov, who captured and shared images of legitimate protests by the Dashkasan community, found himself targeted while the authorities have not commented on the allegations of corruption. Moreover, instead of investigating the complaint lodged by Dashkasan resident Anar Suleymanov against an official, the authorities have administratively detained him for 30 days. Two other residents of Dashkasan, Musayev Ismayil and Allahverdiyev Polad, who protested corrupt officials in Dashkasan, were fined 300 and 500 manats, respectively. Zaur Ahmadov, another activist associated with the Salyan branch of the APFP, has also been subjected to administrative arrest for 30 days. Additionally, young activist Amrah Tahmazov received a 30-day administrative detention sentence for his critical posts on social media.
In response to the recent arrests, Afgan Mukhtarli, an exiled journalist, asserted that all crimes in Azerbaijan have a political dimension. According to him, the government is responsible for every murder. Mukhtarli claimed that under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, the Tovuz police and the entire state machinery concealed the murder of minor Narmin. He further alleged that a fabricated verdict was delivered under Aliyev‘s direct supervision. In Mukhtarli‘s perspective, every crime, whether it be a minor theft or the case of grave crime, is a consequence of the corrupt regime led by Aliyev. He claimed that either Aliyev himself commits the crimes or people are compelled to engage in criminal activities due to the predatory nature of his regime.
Governance and Corruption
In a recent development concerning the 2.5 million manat fraud case involving the son-in-law of the ruling Party YAP chairman, a new decision has been reached. The cassation protest against the acquittal of former police officer Elvin Hashimli, who was accused of the said fraud, was reviewed. According to “Qafqazinfo,” the Supreme Court has deemed the prosecutor’s protest to be justified. The court concluded that the previous acquittal decision regarding Elvin Hashimli did not align with the actual circumstances of the case. As a result, the Baku Court of Appeal’s decision was completely overturned, and the case has been rescheduled for further review. Elvin Hashimli was accused of a significant amount of fraud. The prosecution alleged that he deceived the victim, Mohkam Samadov, by making false promises in the name of establishing a business and fraudulently obtaining 2.5 million manats from him. The criminal case was initially investigated at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, which ultimately acquitted Elvin Hashimli due to a lack of evidence supporting his guilt. The protest against the verdict was not upheld by the Baku Court of Appeal. Elvin Hashimli had previously served as an investigator in the Criminal Investigation Department of the Khatai District Police Department before being expelled from the internal affairs bodies. He is the son of Elchin Hashimli, the former head of the Narimanov District Housing and Communal Management Union, and the son-in-law of Vahid Aliyev, chairman of YAP‘s Khojaly district organization.
The head of MAKA (National Aerospace Agency) has been implicated in a scandal involving a significant sum of half a million dollars. Nagi Kangarli, widely recognized as one of the pioneering businessmen in Azerbaijan’s gold industry, had aspirations of holding a governmental position back in 2014. Natig Javadov, who currently serves as the General Director of the National Aerospace Agency and chairs the expert council on Technical Sciences of the Higher Attestation Commission, pledged to secure Kangarli a prominent role with the assistance of Arif Pashayev. It is worth noting that Javadov received the esteemed “Progress” medal from President Ilham Aliyev in 2011.
Gubad Ibadoghlu, the Chairperson of the ADWP (Azerbaijan Democracy and Welfare Party), has commented on the recent corruption scandals and arbitrary arrests, emphasizing the importance of active public demand for accountability and justice. “The Aliyev regime, which has illicitly accumulated substantial capital through looting national resources and misappropriating state budget funds, channels these ill-gotten gains into foreign economies.” Ibadoghlu asserts that the regime’s primary goal is not to serve its citizens but to prolong its authoritarian power, supported by foreign patrons, intellectual subordinates, and a domestic population caught in a state of modern servitude. “Despite facing oppression, the people continue to strive for their daily necessities by tirelessly working day in and day out”, said Ibadoghlu.

2023.06.09 09:06 TravelPavel88 Emotional dilemma

I need some serious help. I separated from my ex wife over 2 years ago. She cheated on me. With two men. Asked me for a divorce. I payed her bills including rent for over a year after separation and up until a few days ago, her last 2 bills. I now have a wonderful woman in my life who is gifting me with a child in 2 months. Shes perfect. Beautiful, cares about me, and for me most of the time, knows me well, is young and just everything somebody could ask for. But for some reason, I have this lingering feeling of.. idk. Its not love for my ex wife. Its… something else. The thought of seeing her makes me sick but I constantly miss the good times. Idk what this means or what its about. But my ex abused me, emotionally and physically. Im just terrified of messing up this beautiful family im about to start. Idk what this feeling is. Tired of feeling this pain… I love my new partner. What can I do to move forward? What do these feelings mean? Any wisdom helps…
