Yes, we get it. The situation is done(at least on paper and from what we see it is anyway). But to tell people to move on immediately is quite ridiculous(not ridiculous in itself but as if JJ did nothing crazy). JJ quite literally came for Wade in the most unusual manner possible. Many people in this subreddit don't know what it's like to have their reputation called into question at the expense of something important to them like careers, families or even lives. I'm all for forgiving(I even go as far as to not make it a matter of forgiveness when someone wrongs me and I let it go) but you should be able to empathize with everyone who trusted that JJ wouldn't be so low. We all knew JJ's ego was bigger than his forehead and that's cool. But when it doesn't make you accept full responsibility towards someone you have wronged, it sucks to be around you. Many plastic KSI fans do this cycle where they try to play pseudo-PR and minimize the situation, defending him but as soon as JJ apologizes, they hit you with the "he apologized, now move on" as if they didn't just defend such actions. It's also hypocritical from said plastic fans when they say things like "should we continue to hate him?". But when Dillon Danis or Jake Paul do something, it's something that they can never come back from. I'm not a supporter of Danis or Jake, but I at least keep it a buck 99 when someone does something right or wrong regardless of who it is(I'm saying this as a fan of JJ long before he dropped his song Creature). It's also ridiculous how people can't stand Kavos even tho he's telling the truth😂. I'm not saying you have to be like "yasssss queen" but for you to hate him and dishonestly say he's manipulating his audience is wrong. As a Kavos fan I can agree he milks situations but every creator does that😂😂😂(they make money by repeatedly doing stuff. Y'all don't get this worked up when JJ continues making try not to laughs or reddit videos). You let him go when he defends Logan Paul's failed escapades(which is confirmed that he hasn't paid his supporters back for) but get angry when people actually hold him accountable for it. Some people think we should got back to making memes for the reddit day as usual as if this situation isn't why we've been coming up with hilarious memes as of late😂. It's cool to be a part of JJ's fan base, but keep that same energy across the board. It's actually unfortunate but it took JJ telling a whole lie for us to finally tell JJ enough is enough. As a small business owner, I'm nowhere near JJ's level in business. But at 22 years of age, I can at least say that I know how to do my research and verify the facts. From a business perspective(if not from a personality/character or boxing standpoint) I've lost respect for you because even though I'm not expecting you to know everything, the information that comes directly to YOU should be info you make a point to verify and taking Keem's word(of all people yikes) or mams was poor insight and oversight from you and a man who worked so hard for you and your vision almost got incapacitated for it. You should do something about those people(obviously up to you) and also stop and think before you say or do something you regret. I'm not gonna stop watching your videos or unfollow your socials, but you have a long way back especially for the people who had your back since the beginning(not so much for the fake fans since they just see you as an angel who deserves unlimited tries). Is it maybe a sign from the universe/God that maybe at my current school its not a good idea to form friendships? I’m in high school and I literally have no friends, I sit by myself everyday at lunch and majority of my school days I don’t even open my mouth. It’s so miserable but I try to remind myself that maybe it’s not a good idea to form friendships here. The middle school that I went to is literally right next to the high school that I currently go to, so all the kids at that school pretty much go here so it’s hard meeting new people. I’m already known as the “quiet smart girl” so some of my teachers tend to give me compliments when it comes to school work so I think that kinda makes people unattracted to me. most of the kids here though I probably shouldn’t want to be friends with anyways they literally barely do any work, vape, cuss to much,talk back, skip, on their phones to much, don’t pay attention, etc. in all of my classes it’s the popular boys, the popular girls, or people that’s not interested in talking to anyone so it’s hard to make friends in my classes. What are everyone’s thoughts on the TUC glossary? Initially I thought it was Bakker’s way of providing some worldbuilding from an external perspective. However, having read through it in its entirety, it’s definitely an in-world artefact, right? Most of the entries are almost entirely factual and have no emotional weight to them, but some of them suggest to me that it’s actually an in-world, post-Resumption work, which has some implication for the future events of the series. Bakker may well have already confirmed exactly what the glossary is exactly, so this post could be a waste of time.
The entry that specifically interests me is the “Metagnosis.”

Metagnosis - Complication of the Gnosis discovered and elaborated by Anasûrimbor Kellhus over the course of his tenure as Aspect-Emperor. A great deal of speculation regarding the metaphysics and capacities of the Metagnosis have arisen since Our Lord and Prophet first used it to strike down the Cishaurim at Shimeh.

There is a little bit more to the entry, but that is the part which interests me, specifically the part I’ve highlighted in bold. “Our Lord and Prophet.” For me there’s two interesting aspects to this entry:

1. If the glossary isn’t an in-world text, why would Bakker refer to Kellhus in that way? Doesn’t seem right. The obvious explanation is that it’s actually an in-world text and the author is an ardent Zaudunyani.
   
2. Given the language of the entry, when can we assume the glossary was actually written? Initially you’d think it has simply been written before Resumption, and so naturally the author is going to be positive when referring to Kellhus. But I don’t know if that’s the case.
   

There are several entries in the glossary which give death dates for characters who die after Kellhus bans all communication between the Ordeal and the Empire. The most recent (from what I’ve noticed) are the entries relating to the Battle of Dagliash, for example Coithus Saubon’s lifespan is given as 4069-4132, so the author of the glossary knows about all the events of the Aspect-Emperor series, at least up to and including book 6. As far as I can tell, there are no entries detailing anything which took place in The Unholy Consult but I feel it’s safe to assume that that is just Bakker playing it safe and not putting any spoilers in there.
Now considering all that information, if we assume the author is an Eärwan historian (which I’d say is a given), then we must also assume the events of books 4-7 are somehow relayed back to the historian in their entirety by someone who was in the Ordeal. Now the last thing the Ordeal thinks it sees is Kellhus (as the No-God) unleashing a horde of Sranc and a whirlwind on the Ordeal. The Ordeal (probably) wrongly assumes Kellhus is the No-God, that it’s him who has started the second apocalypse, and that he brought them all that way just to kill them all. I feel an event like that would break the even most zealous Zaudunyani’s faith in their prophet. So why, despite everything I’ve just mentioned, is the glossary still referring to Kellhus as “Lord and Prophet” even though it’s pretty clear the author should know what happened at Golgotterath (from the Ordeal’s perspective)? I think there’s two possibilities:

1. Somehow, someone sneaks into the Golden Room and figures out exactly what happened. Everyone finds out Kellhus didn’t betray humanity, but simply lost. His reputation somehow remains intact despite his failure.
   
2. There’s been plenty of theories surrounding Kellhus’ death and that he’s actually got contingencies in place (Decapitants, oasis in the Outside, etc.). Perhaps one of these contingencies is true, and he somehow still ends up winning, and everyone knows it.
   

Anyone have any thoughts about this? I suppose it’s also possible some entries have simple been written before others, and so entries such as “Metagnosis” are from before the events of books 4-7, and others are from afterwards, but I think that someone as significant as Kellhus would have any entries related to them updated to reflect their apparent treachery.

I am a Midwest documentary filmmaker and after recommitting my life to Christ in 2021 i noticed that good christian streaming content is hard to find. Maybe that’s why The Chosen series has done soo well (and it’s great subject matter!)

To clarify a little on my style of documentary filmmaking. I focus on a single subject/character versus a topic. Example of what I don’t do : pro life, political or religious events. Example of what would do: following a new pastor around as we see him go through life behind the scenes developing his sermons each week. When I was 16-17M I had a drinking problem. I would drink whenever I could get my hands on alcohol because it was the only way I knew how to escape. I would do all kind of stupid shit when I was drunk, try to fight people, verbally abuse people for no reason, throw up in peoples houses etc. i would often get angry at my parents for no reason and once I even had a fight with my dad.
2 yrs ago aged 17 I met up with 3 girls and a male friend. I had had a lot to drink at this rate. I was sitting in a bench with one of the girls and I put my arm around her. She did not object to this so I thought I was on the next stage of flirting. I asked ro kiss her, she said no to that. A minute later I asked again and a minute after that I asked once more. All 3 times were rejected. Eventually i came to my senses and realise my attention was unwanted. I feel as though if I was physically stepping the line someone would have intervened. I cant actually remember any of this happening, this is just what I got told. I never forced myself on this person and I didn’t get aggressive or violent when rejected. After this happened she and all her friends left the venue and texted my friend that I fucked up and that no means no. I probably freaked her out bad. I didn’t understand what I was doing and I thought I was flirting but I got it horribly wrong and upset someone
When I heard about my actions the next morning I felt disgusted with myself, I instantly apologised to the girl I did it to. She told me she forgave me, my friend told me that she was initially upset after it had happened that I pushed her boundaries, but she accepted my apology. That was the last time i spoke to all the people involved. I feel disgusted within myself, I feel like a predator who kept pushing someone. I feel as though I might have traumatised her and ruined her life cos this was such a bad experience. It was after that I stopped drinking alcohol as a whole because I was now aware of its destructive nature. I haven’t done a thing of this nature since and realised that it was the alcohol dictating me.
After I apologised I didn’t think too much of the incident, but 18 months later for some reason it’s come back into my mind and it’s all I think about 24/7. I really can’t understand why I did what I did. I certainly wouldn’t have done it sober, but I’ve realised that it’s no excuse. Their friend said to my friend it wasn’t that much of a big deal but I still can’t forget about it. I feel like a piece of shit for trying to do something without the other person’s consent. I was verbally asking for consent but I was being pushy about it. Since this has been of my mind, I haven’t allowed myself to have anormal life, I’ve since quit my job and I hardly leave my room. I feel as though this is who I’m gonna be forever. That drunk idiot that kept asking. I told one of my friends bout it and he said it wasn’t a big deal. I can’t even look my own mother in the eye knowing the way I treated a woman that night. No charges were ever pressed or anything, idk if I did something illegal or not but it was certainly immoral. I hate myself for it every day and I’ve been thinking about ending my life over this. Once u do something like this in todays society there is no going back.
Although im 2 years sober and wont do something like this again I just cant let the past go. This haunts me 24/7 and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever forgive myself for it. I thought of myself as an ally of women but this situation says that I wasn’t.

Scenario 1

Ellie and Dina escape a bloater. But at the last moment, it throws a mycotoxin bomb. Ellie accidentally swallows it.
Ellie and Dina find a calm place to hide. Dina noticed what happens to Ellie. She freaks out and worries for Ellie’s safety. Ellie reminds her that she is immune. Suddenly, the bomb reacts to her immune system. Ellie then bloats up, gaining weight quickly.
Scenario 3
Ellie suddenly starts filling up due to her mutated virus.
At the same time, dina has been infected with spores. Because of this, she’s very intoxicated. Dina’s fat fetish comes into play, with her seeing Ellie and being unable to resist her new form.
As Ellie becomes immobilised, she has to deal with a dina who is strangely obsessed over her weight gain
Scenario 4
Ellie and Dina set off to find the people who murdered Joel. Ellie is puzzled by Dina’s luggage. Dina packed massive lots of food and has no explanation as to why they need so much.
As they leave Jackson, dina grins to herself. She always wanted Ellie alone in the forest, able to fatten her up
Scenario 5
After killing Joel, Abby captures Ellie. She carries out a strange punishment. She takes all of the scraps from the WLF base, and feeds them to Ellie. Over the next few months, Ellie becomes overweight.
When dina arrives to rescue Ellie, she is shocked by what she sees

It's a long story and I think for the sake of this post, the details don't exactly need to be heard as I'm mainly just looking for help.
I had a surgery for a ruptured ear drum a few years ago in an effort to try and fix it to restore the hearing loss I have. So thankfully, this wasn't a life or death situation because if it was, I'm certain I would've died that day.
I believe that they overdosed with the sedative they gave me as I had a reaction that essentially paralyzed me while I suffocated until I passed out while fully conscious. I woke up to that cliché movie scene where they say "his color is starting to come back" and you hear the beeping sounds.
I was told that I had a really bad allergic reaction but in my research on the sedative that caused this according to them (Versed/Midazolam) the symptoms of an allergic reaction to not match up as well as the symptoms of an overdose.
Long story short, I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to get answers as I am skeptical that they lied and told me I was only having a allergic reaction as opposed to them negligently overdosing me.
If anyone can weight in and help me find my peace, I would appreciate it.

So Ive been trying to research and practice a bit more. Here’s what happened to me recently and where Im getting stuck and where I could use your guidance since the resources don’t address my situation:
During a nap today I had a lot of preparation and sure enough entered into paralysis and felt the vibrations. It is pretty easy for me to have hypnogogia and sleep paralysis, especially during naps so nothing new here. This time I tried my own version of the elevator method I read somewhere where I basically closed my eyes and let it take me up all the while being very peaceful.
After reaching what I felt was high enough, I opened my eyes and I felt like I was floating 6 inches above my bed. I was actually stuck here during my last attempt where I failed to fully escape my room - so same situation as previously. This time I attempted to float up and fly out of my room. Nothing really was changing but I was still hovering over my bed. I then tried to will myself outside my apartment building… but still nothing. Next, I thought I should just move my arms at this point believing that I’d be moving my astral body. I was able to move them but it was a very strange feeling. They felt like weird holograms moving in and out of the matrix since they were glitchy and staticky - almost felt wet - so I thought I was finally succeeding. Next thing I know I am back on my bed and realize that what I was moving was my physical body as the hologram slowly fades and the arm in front of me solidifies and feels normal gravity again.
It was a very bizarre feeling so I thought for sure I had it but sadly not. I only ended up disappointed because all Ive been essentially doing lately is breaking sleep paralysis by moving my actual body. The feeling of moving in sleep paralysis lately has been considerably different compared to past experiences though. Basically, in the past I would intentionally force myself to move to get out of sleep paralysis since I had no desire to be in it and generally I would be able to do so after tremendous effort. This time I thought I succeeded though since moving my arms at first felt so surreal and additionally I was floating just moments earlier but sadly it was a failed attempt.
Anyone have any idea what is going on? Why is my physical body moving even though I willed my astral body to move?

We could wish to be moral, we could wish to be philosophically comforted, in fact, we could will these things with all our might, but the needed power wasn't there. Our human resources, as marshalled by the will, were not sufficient; they failed utterly."

It was a warm summer day when the magic show arrived. In a small town like Belling, it was a real treat. No one stops here except truckers filling up and people looking for directions.
For our quaint town of five hundred people, something like this was bigger than Christmas.
I remember a big truck pulling up with a man in a cape and top hat. More than anything, I remember the excitement of the young children as he introduced himself.

“I am William the great!”

He said as he approached a woman and presented her with flowers from what appeared out of thin air.
The town was stunned in amazement. You have to understand, for years we had poor reception. The Internet was a luxury many went without. While my generation was raised on YouTube, the majority of this town spent their afternoons gossiping about their neighbors and drinking the night away.
I wanted to speak up and reveal his tricks but I figured, “why not let the town have this moment.”
I must admit, the show was fun.
There were rabbits pulled from hats and a small stage constructed on which he stood atop. He had Beverly Wilshtone our local librarian stand behind a curtain only to disappear moments later.
He even produced doves from a flame but the most shocking part was when he began sawing my little brother in half.
By the time we heard the blood-curdling screams, we realized there was nothing magical at all.
Turns out he was an escaped lunatic and his “magic box” was just a box.
The police found him one town over just before his “grand finale”
My parents got divorced shortly after that day.
The town never spoke of it again but you can still feel sadness and horror in the air.
I don’t know if it was his charm or something about his tricks but I suddenly have a desire for magic.

While we talked for a bit and made our way to the elevator, it opened just as Dani got out onto our floor.
“Dani,” I said. “Busy day?”
Dani and Cerberus glanced at each other.
“Yeah, kind of. Cerberus, your out already?”
“Just as a fellow guard,” the demon replied. “I think Apollo wants to tell you something.”
“Oh, right.” I replied, walking into the elevator and pressing the ‘up’ button as classical music played overhead. “Ripley wants us all to meet in the equipment storage room to talk about the plans for… the breakout.”
“Yeah, I can make it there,” Dani said, the slightest bit of hesitation seeping into her voice. “Might be ten minutes late, I got a few work things to do.”
“Yeah, we’re at work.” I laughed. “Sounds good, see you around.”
Our elevator started to ascend, and Cerberus tapped her foot annoyingly while I whistled in the silence.
“You remember what I said about her?” Cerberus asked, breaking the silence.
“Who, Dani?”
“Yeah. Her.”
“I don’t exactly remember, the last time I remember you mentioning her it was like three months ago. What’s up?”
“She’s a backstabbing weirdo and you’ll never know what her true intentions are.” Cerberus whistled.
“Oh come on,” I said. “Is this some sort of rivalry thing? Did you do have beef before you came to this prison?”
“No, but trust me, as a supernatural being looking at another supernatural being, she’s bad news. I can tell she’s not fully into the plan.”
The elevator doors opened, and we walked across the hallway down to the food court. “And you’re acting like I’m not a supernatural being either? I’m literally the descendant of some minor Mayan god.”
“Yeah, and I’m a literal demon. You should see angels, they look scarier than half the things we keep locked up in here.”
“There’s angels?” I asked, walking. “Anyway, what’s so bad about Dani? She’s basically essential to our breakout or we’d never make it. She has the highest clearance out of any of us, and has no actual criminal background.”
“Listen, I just think that’s exactly why we can’t trust her,” Cerberus whispered, while I ordered two pastas. “She has no idea what it’s like to be here against your will, and she also has no reason to escape. She can basically leave anytime, and she would instantly become a wanted fugitive for assisting in the biggest prison breakout since El Chapo was a thing.”
“You do have a point there,” I said. “But on the other hand, Ripley and I are basically her only real friends in here besides the big bad Warden, so that would be a bit more motivation.”
“I literally trust Dagon more than her.”
“Yeah, because you both have sisters working for international supernatural law enforcement organizations, and you’re both prisoners.”
“You’re kind of a prisoner too,” Cerberus shrugged, munching on a piece of pasta.
“I’ve never been in a cell in here before, at least not for more than a day. Basically guard since day one.”
“By the way,” Cerberus said, pointing her fork at me. “We got another big fucking problem. If, and that’s a big if, we make it out of this prison alive, every juiced-up super-soldier in the United States is going to be on our asses in seconds. I mean the response time is unusually fucking fast, we’ll be the number one priority for all of those monster-hunting organizations. Or we could just get jumped in here and never make it out of the prison alive.”
