for some context, i have OCD and moderate depression and also have PTSD from a childhood wrecked with abuse and my mother frequently cheating on my dad infront of me. So from the get go i was really closed and reserved and mostly kept to myself and refrained from a relationship or something.
i also did not indulge in sex since i was too afraid to do it.
a couple of years ago i left my home country to another country for work and still, i kept to myself. didnt indulge in people stuff, and it wasnt much different. but one person, (lets call him W) was persistent to be acquainted with me. he wasnt creepy and repeatedly reminded me that he'd go away if i felt uncomfortable and will never bother me again. and i did test it many times, and he did go away without any explaination from me until i contacted him again. so after several months, i finally became comfortable with him and it was around this time he asked me out. i said yes.

he's perfect. he takes me on dates, he brings me cute little gifts and respects me to the nth degree.
he always stands a bit far away from me and wont come near me unless i go near him, and we have worked out the affectionate physical aspects of relationship. he'll always ask for permission before holding my hand or something and always stops when i say no. its very slow and painful i know that, and his patience is commendable. its had been like 14 months and all he got from me was holding hands. he says that he is okay with this and that i should take my time but all the time i think about the possibility of him cheating on me with another woman since i deny him physical affection and intimacy. i am very insecure about my body and think that nobody should even touch my garbage of a body and hence it takes me longer to relax and let him touch me. i think i dont deserve him and that he should just stop wasting time with me.
he tells me that its okay and that he does really like me and likes spending time with me as we do have many similar interests and also have similar personas and we have talked about the stuff i think and feel and i have, by his persistence also started therapy and he has sworn on his soul that he is not being unfaithful and never will be because he cannot just see himself being with anyone other than me and that he really likes me. and that i am beautiful and gorgeous and that he isnt with me because of the stuff we CAN do like kissing and sex, but he is with me for me. and that it really hurts him that i think that i do not deserve him and is wasting his time, and that those are universal anti-truths.
i am so insecure that i stalk him most of the time, and have tested him several times with paying sex-workers to try and seduce him and he has passed every single time and he is always truthful wherever i call him and ask him where he is and that he really says the truth when he makes a mistake or forgets or something.
i want him to be with me and i dont want him to be with me. I WANT HIM BUT I HATE MYSELF. A PERSON WHICH SUCH A PURE SOUL SHOULDNT BE WITH A SCUMBAG LIKE ME I HATE MYSELF

Do people in Singapore know about VR etiquette? I'm beginning to have doubts about this after an incident today. For context, read below.
Context: I play VR everyday outside to take advantage of the numerous wide open areas. The best place I've found is a huge public shelter that no one uses, and the time I play tends to be in the night, sometimes so late in the night that it would be midnight by the time I'm done. So yeah, I've taken all the necessary precautions to not endanger both myself and others. Over the past 2 months, I've had to warn off a few curious children before they could come too close, but plenty of kids knew by instinct not to get too close. (these were when I was using another public shelter that's next to a playground - very quickly, I decided that another location should be sought out)
Had an incident today though. I was playing at 10+ pm in the usual remote public shelter. Then I heard someone shouting at me while I was in the middle of sparring with a gladiator. I double-tapped my headset to enable see-through in time to have this man ranting at me about me playing VR while he and a woman was walking by. So I told them they should not be walking near me while I was playing. The basics of VR doesn't seem to register with him: When someone's playing in VR, you do not go near him! He just went on about how I almost hit his girl friend (or girlfriend, who cares). I didn't want to bother with him anyway since I was almost done and I wanted to return home to play PCVR games, so I told him 'I'll be more careful next time' just to blow him off. Doubt I'll ever see him and his friend again. The weird thing is, it's as if they don't even know how VR works...

I have a multipart file upload in a form with a php backend. I've set max_execution_time and max_input_time in php.ini to 180 and confirmed on the file upload that these values are set and set TimeOut 180 in Apache. I've also set
RewriteRule .* - [E=noabort:1]RewriteRule .* - [E=noconntimeout:1] When I upload a 250MB file on a fast connection it works fine. When I'm on a slower connection or a network link conditioner to artificially slow it down, the same file times out and on Chrome gives me net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET after 1 minute (and 5 seconds) reliably. I've also tried other browsers with the same outcome, just different error messages.
There is no indication to an error in any log and I've tried both on http and https.
What would cause the upload connection to be reset after 1 minute?

I've now also tried to have a simple upload form that bypasses any framework I'm using, still timeouts at 1 minute.
I've also just made a sleep script that timeouts after 2 and a half minutes, and that works, page takes around 2.5 minutes to load so I can't see how it's browser or header related.
I've also used a server with more RAM to ensure it's not related to that. I've tested on 3 different servers with different specs but all from the same CentOS 7 base.
I've now also upgraded to PHP 7.2 and updated the relevant fields again with no change in the problem.
EDIT 2The tech stack for this isolated instance is

• Apache 2.4.6
• PHP 5.6 / 7.2 (tried both), has OPCache
• Redis 3.2.6 for session information and key / value storage (ElastiCache)
• PostgreSQL 10.2 (RDS)

Everything else in my tech stack has been removed from this test area to try and isolate the problem. EFS is on the system but in my most isolated test it's just using EBS.

Hello. Here’s some necessary information.
I am on a 3 month temporary contract. I submit my hours by weekly time sheets.
The job is paid monthly. My employment started on 20/03/2023 and the cut off point for that months wages was 25/03/2023 to be paid on 31/03/03 - meaning that I have only been employed and worked one week before the monthly pay cutoff point.
Hi guys I need help
When the setting up my account, the umberella company had reached out to me to offer their services (my info was sent to them from my recruitment agency). The guy who called me to set up the account, advised that their margin is £25 per timesheet processed. I accepted that charge and set up my account with them.
I became an employee one week before the cut off date for wages for the month, and there for only submitted one time sheet this month.
Upon receiving my payslip I can see that they have charged me a £100 margin.
When I called to question this and advised I was told it was £25 a week, the girl I spoke to advised that it doesn’t actually work like that, I am on a monthly basis and it is £100 every month regardless of how many time sheets I submit and how many weeks of the month I have worked (for example if I took a week holiday and only submitted 3 timesheets I would still be charged the full amount)
This had lead me to believe I was purposefully mislead by them in order to use their services.
I only submitted one time sheet at a charge of £25 and feel like they are trying to steal £75 from my wages. On my payslip it appears as a charge for “services provided" - but they have not provided me with £100 worth of services as I have only submitted one time sheet and only been employed for one week - I was literally hired to start on 20/03 and they’ve charged me a whole months charges.
The pay schedule was sent to me directly from an employee at paystream, who clearly knew it was a monthly paid job, clearly knew the pay schedule and that I was JOINING a week before the cut off point. I have not even been employed by the company for a whole Month so why I am I receiving a whole months worth of charges?
The company themselves have basically told me “that’s just how it is deal with it”
What are my options?

I'm having a issue trying to extend my fixed staked position, I've done this same thing many times before and every time I extend my fixed position my yield boost and my APR increases. But not this time and it just shows that the iCake decreases significantly. What is even icake? I also get this sign in the bottom where it says that 0.0001 is requiring for enabling extension. But everything decreases APR , boost etc . I hope i managed to make myself clear enough

Now I remember Leviathan, I already stopped playing the game by that point but I was active in this community still and I know the update that came along with Leviathan was awful. I'm assuming those issues have been fixed since it's been 2 years(time flies) but how do you rate the DLC in its importance? When I was playing, Art of War(especially), Rights of Men and maybe Common Sense were the most important ones. I doubt the situation there changed, but how does Leviathan rate among all DLC nowadays? I'm probably gonna pick it up on a discount when I get the chance anyway.
I'm assuming both Origins and Lions of the North add flavor to Africa and Scandinavia respectively and are mostly contained within those regions rather than affecting the whole game right? Making them not very universal in their usefulness. I might pick them up on a discount.
Other than that, how has the game changed the last 3 years? I barely remember playing with mission trees, I played a couple of games but that was around the time I quit playing I think. Anything I should look out for? I'd appreciate a quick guide on how I should optimally play. Thanks!

Has anyone with endo done a month of Orilissa suppression before egg retrieval? For reference - i have suspected endo due to painful periods. I did Orilissa for my first retrieval, but we are running out of time before our insurance switches and no longer covers Fertility care. I want to ask my doctor to skip the Orilissa this time, or do 2 weeks instead of a month. Any input? Thank you!

Prior to leaving the org, I contemplated a lot and had many conversations with my wife about how that truly elated and ecstatic feeling I would randomly get as a kid and teen were just memories.
For probably close to 20 years I completely lost that feeling of overwhelming calmness and excitement for different things. I always watched the cliche in movies where hard decisions and struggles can turn out good in the end and you can feel good again, but it was just that, a fantasy and fairy tale.
I have been out for a little over a year and there have been great ups and really deep lows, but as time has gone on, the highs have been more consistent and the lows less and less. What surprised me the most, is that ecstatically happy feeling I lost for so long has returned on its own and has become more frequent like it was during my younger years.
I knew the cult was affecting me negatively, but I have realized first hand how it can completely envelop one in a dark cloud and trap. It has the same effect of dangerous drugs that zap the full excitement out of life. Even leaving is similar to withdrawals as your body and mind get adjusted back to its normal state.
Take back your happiness if you can, don’t let them trap you in a downward spiral of darkness.

Nearly ALL literature states that there are NO “withdrawal” symptoms from discontinuing Naltrexone. If withdrawal is defined as “opiate withdrawal,” then this is a somewhat reasonable assessment. Discontinuing Naltrexone is not nearly as severe or difficult as opiate withdrawal.
But, especially if you are sensitive to drug interactions, you will feel different in a similar way to how you feel different from discontinuing most psychoactive drugs including antidepressants - but it will be more severe than most of those if you try to stop cold Turkey.
I was on 50mg Naltrexone for 3 years, and 100 for the following 2 years. I had great success in stopping opiate and alcohol use. I have been completely sober for 5 years. It was a miracle after having NO success for over a decade of trying to get sober.
But, in stopping Naltrexone, I have had negative reactions that should be noted, and doctors should be aware and discuss it with patients in order to guard against drug/alcohol relapse.
I am stopping Naltrexone because I noticed - by accident - that with lower doses I slept significantly better and my mind feels less cloudy. And, after 5 years sober, I feel confident and ready to stop in order to enjoy those benefits.
But, at times, after short-term abstinence from Naltrexone, I feel uneasy, anxious, slightly dizzy, I have pain in some joints and I pour sweat incrementally and randomly. I have not, however (notably) had alcohol or opiate urges (yet).
I did try and stop Naltrexone cold Turkey from 100mg to 0mg and the anxiety was unbearable and my tolerance to psychological disturbance is reasonably high.
So I began to taper my Naltrexone dose to minimize these symptoms. I have tapered down from 100mg 2 months ago to currently 12.5 mg every other day (1/4 of a 50mg pill). The taper is still necessary in my case because I am seeking the lowest possible irritation and I do still have symptoms at this low dose and after this extended time of 2 months.
I woke up this morning with anxiety and irritability that rose to the level of me needing/wanting relief. So I dosed my tiny bit of Naltrexone - 12.5mg - and it took all negative symptoms away within 30 minutes like magic.
Note: Because I have had this experience countless times (eliminating negative sensations with a Naltrexone dose) I am positive that I am correct in diagnosing this as a withdrawal.
I do not have a well regulated method. I go as long as I can without any Naltrexone (right now that is 1-2 or sometimes 3 days) and then take the lowest possible dose when I deem it necessary for relief. I hope to be off completely within 2 weeks and will update my progress here.

Other medications I am taking: 75mg Lamotrigine and 40mg Prozac for Bipolar 2 and anxiety/depression.

the story I'm telling me is still something that actually happened to me and i still remember every detail. P.S this is a true story.
when i was 5 my family didn't smoke around me so whenever they did they would send me to the kitchen to paint one night it was dark outside and i was siting at the kitchen counter water painting after being sent to the kitchen i had felt like i was being looked at so i looked up a and out the window across from me and saw a guy wearing a clown mask and black hoodie right in front of the kitchen with a grin on the mask from ear to ear and fake blood under the eyes doing nothing even as i looked at him he just kept staring . i rushed out to the living room to my mother and told her there was someone at the window in the kitchen . she followed me to the kitchen but the guy had vanished she then reassured me it was nothing then went back to the living as i stayed in the kitchen continuing painting five minutes i looked back up getting the felling of being watched again and he was there again once again i got my mom and once again he was gone she left then ten minutes i was in the living room for a third time seeing him again this time he didn't move and my mother sent my brother in instead once my brother saw him he started running my brother ran after him after telling mom that there was someone there .he didn't come back but till this day I've hated clowns .

Just a vent. Got a home warranty as part of a seller concession for an older home with cast iron pipes. A cast iron pipe became rusted shut per the plumber and needed to be replaced. AHS said they wouldn't cover it. I called to appeal and the service rep says they wont pay for the access of the pipes but they will pay for the plumbing work itself as a reimbursement. I pay for the work ( with the contractor that they recommended I use ) and called them back for next steps for reimbursement. They say the claim was never covered. I described my previous conversation with their team and they said they'd proceed to send over the documents for reimbursement. 1 hour later I haven't received any documents so I call back and am told the claim was completely denied and was not considered normal wear and tear. There is no option for reimbursement and they refuse to review the case. Unfortunately for 750 work i doubt it's worth it for small claims court for violation of co tract or hiring a lawyer. So just here to vent that this company is terrible, keep names and contact times for any interactions, and usually you are just paying for a diagnostic that most contractors will provide you for free.

1 Where do people look for housing? I want to rent a townhome in Upper Arlington or Worthington but not a lot of listings on Zillow or Trulia. Is Craigslist reliable? Any townhouses to avoid?
2 How’s the driving and parking? We come from Utah so our roads are wide and I don’t need to worry about parallel parking on the streets (most of the time).
3 Good schools and affordable (ha) daycares?

Hey! Really trying to make it to the MO show at the Third Man Record's Blue Room next week. They're my favorite band and I would just to see the Andy and Robert play in an intimate setting like that.
