There's no fancy subtitle or name change; Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series XS consoles on March 15th. That's not to say it's exactly the same experience, though. The versions for the current-gen consoles support 60 FPS, HDR output, ray-tracing, "improved texture quality," faster loading times, "immersive 3D audio," and support for platform-specific features, like the PS5's DualSense haptics.

Hello there!
I'm very new to Blender, but learning a lot and enjoying the capabilities. I've recently created a 3D interior room in a house with animated furniture, like a couch, plant, rug, chair, etc. I'm just practicing! I've been watching a lot of Poliigon tutorials for creating 3D interiors.
I was wondering if there was a way to change the wall behind this scene, animating different custom wallpaper images. I have images of the wallpaper designs, and I've uploaded the images to the face of the wall (interior of a cube), but it seems skewed, no matter how much I edit the scale of the image.
Also, I'm unsure if there is a way to animate images on a solid either. Here is a material render of the scene so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about:

 | has anyone had trouble using gifs for bitmapping in MA? I made this gif on gimp to try and mess around with but I can't get the animation to work on the software itself. Hello. My brother got me into PC gaming 30+ years ago which sort of spiraled into a career in technology - what better way to thank him all these years later than building him a cool gaming PC. He hasn't had the time for PCGaming for many years but has always been interested in what I am up to and followed the scene. He has not managed to find the time and pull the trigger and get back into it now that we are all grown up with kids. I decided to build him this after researching various components and getting the idea. Very happy with how this turned out. I was averaging over 120 FPS on ultrawide, settings all the way up, with "Ready or Not" and the temps looked great. I'll be stress testing it later and posting more in the comments.

Notes about the build: I'm sure some are curious about the radiator orientation. The card is long enough that the PSU housing has to sit at the height it is sitting at. Therefore, the radiator tubing had to go on the left side, the way I did it, in order to not crimp any of the tubing with hard angles. I think it turned out like a tasteful coil around the waifu cooler.
The case can fit mATX but I wasn't really enthusiastic about the options for z790 chipset - very happy with how the ROG Strix ITX board turned out. It ended up pulling enough of the components over that I am considering another display within the case. I'll post an update if that happens.
My only critique would be the tiniest knock on Asus for not including an RGB splitter / fan splitter. For such an expensive board - why not? I was able to handle that with a couple pieces off of Amazon.
The AIO cooler directions could have been a little clearer but maybe it is because it is only my second AIO cooler install.
The case is great and perfect for what I wanted to do. I think 2.0 with a larger monitor, they could use that real estate to reposition the power supply back on the cable management side in its own channel (similar to my personal case, the Lian Li xl 011) - and use the new horizontal real estate for more cable management and airway for cooling. This could also open up some front fans while keeping the screen. Having said all of this - Everything worked great. It was very satisfying to get all the parts to fit in a working configuration. The only real testing I have to do is see if it makes sense for that rear fan to be set to exhaust or intake. It is currently intake and the temps are very cool. CPU idling in the low to mid 30s.
The case screen is great - it fits right in with the case and comes with mini hdmi / usb c cabling to power and run video to. Classic 90s animes look amazing on Wallpaper Engine.

This will be a very long post, I am only interested in finding people that are willing to read long posts like these properly, please do not DM me if that is not you.
First I'd like to say that while I am looking for very specific type of people - that has to do with mindset, time availability, and game preferences only. Other than that (which will be specified below), I am open to being friends with anyone regardless of any identity traits(e.g. gender, age, sexuality, brain neurology), likes/hobbies etc. as long as you fit into and agree with what I write in this post.
Time availability & Games -
Looking for people that have and are willing to regularly dedicate time to game and spend time together, long term. On average at least once a week, but preferably more often. This means prioritizing planned game sessions and making time for them just as you would for irl close friend gatherings and commitments.
The specific times at which I play games can be flexible but looking for people who can play during around these times (UTC + 1 timezone):
Weekdays: evening - night (~ 20:00 - 00:00 +/- 2hours)
Weekends: afternoon/evening/night
I play and am interested in a big variety of games, open minded to try most games. Looking for people that are also open minded and willing to at least try most type of games. You don't need to like every game or genre but a decent amount at least, rather than focused on only 1 or 2.
Since I am looking for people to play games with rather than just chat about games, co-op and multiplayer games are a must, party games such as board games, scribl, fall guys, tower unite, mini golf, among us etc. is also a big game genre I'd like to play, especially if we do get a small group together. Another big one is mmorpgs, currently I don't fully play one but would like to at some point especially if with a group. For upcoming mmorpgs im mostly interested in Ashes of Creation, Pax Dei, Throne and Liberty, and would like to try them all out with the friends I find here. Open to playing most of the current top mmorpgs too such as wow, ff14... While I don't enjoy most of them solo, with likeminded small friends group I believe almost any decent mmorpg could be fun. I do like to enjoy every aspect of mmorpgs - pvp, pve, lifeskills, housing, exploring, minigames.
Any other games preferences is not required but would be nice to also share:
Shooters/BRs/Combat games (currently playing fortnite), anime games (e.g. naruto shinobi striker), survival games(valheim, rust, ark, raft), strategy (nothgard, civ), sim (overcooked, plate up, stardew, dinkum), sports (rocket league, riders republic), horror (phasmophobia), other (minecraft, craftopia, tricky towers, witch it, goat sim3, nfs, overwatch, starcraft2)
Im not really too into horror games and stuff in general outside of phasmophobia but would be willing to give it a try. Also dont like hack and slash/button smashing or clicking games too much, mostly due to my wrist hurting from them, I can play lot of games but some just hurt my wrist too much e.g. after playing lost ark for while with having to use mouse click to move, it started hurting so arpgs are probably no go. Other than that I am willing to try most type of games and looking for people with similar open mindness to make it easier to find games to play together. My favorite multiplayer game atm is Fall Guys, so it would be nice if you were at least willing to try it.
I also play VR, consoles, and older games on 3DS/emulators, but PC is main.
About me -

I do like things to be organized and planned in general, especially in a group setting, at least to begin with before getting to know friends better and becoming more comfortable with everyone.
I am socially anxious and generally anxious about lot of stuff, and my #1 hated thing when communicating with others online is being ignored or seeing other people be ignored.
I have sensitive senses, and can easily get headaches from certain noises or lights, such as shouting/screaming people over VC, very fast moving flashing gifs/emotes etc. Its mostly fine, but something to keep in mind when talking over VC for example, and would prefer to be around people that are willing to be at least somewhat mindful of this.
I like to try my best in games generally, but main goal is to have fun, I don't want to try to the point where it stops being fun. There are times when I like to mess around in games and other times I get civilly competitive and like to have a good match whether I win or lose. I don't like trash talk with strangers or any mean spirited behavior, but I do enjoy joking around in good spirit with friends that share the sentiment, e.g. laughing at each other fail in a funny way in fall guys.
I like to be honest and have clear and good communication with others. If there is an issue or difference, I would rather address it and resolve it either by coming to an agreement or agreeing to disagree but at least being aware of others standpoint, than pretending its not there or lying about it.
I am not a fan of any sort of lying for any purpose, including "white lies", "lies for your own good" etc. While I will not claim to never lie, I do not like doing it nor am I very good at it. If I dont want to say or do something, Id rather say that clearly, than lie about it. And I would like to be around people who also like being honest. Being around people who tell you something is fine when its not, is one of the reasons for my anxiety and I really don't like or appreciate it. Also would like to point out that to me there is a difference between being honest and being mean. For example if someone is wearing something I don't like, I don't feel the urge to let them know that if they don't ask, I understand its my opinion and that not everyone shares it nor that its important as it doesnt really affect me in any way therefore it would just be mean to tell them that, however if they do ask my opinion on it, I would be honest in a nice way letting them know I do not like it but it is ofc fine for them to wear it regardless. On things which do affect me where I believe the person cares, I would let them know when something is bothering me instead of pretending its fine. That is the kind of relationship I would like to have with my friends and is the kind of people I am looking for now.

In essence I am looking for people with similar mindset about games and general human interaction, as I have.
The main qualities I'm looking for are; honesty, willingness to discuss some things in depth, open mind (being open to new ideas, and accepting your perception of things you think you know may not be accurate or correct), willingness to make time for me/friend group, ability to read messages of any length(most of my messages will be very short but some will probably be long) and give a response or at least a reaction to them (its ok to be shy or socially anxious but I do require people to make an effort and respond to me at least privately if uncomfortable around other people), having fun in games without raging or negativity in general, being accepting of other people - whatever their identities and likes are as long as they are not hurting others with it. Ability to understand and communicate well in english via text, enough to clearly understand everything in this post and able to respond to it and have in depth conversations. VC is not required, everyone can choose whether or not to join or talk on voice chat without any pressure. I personally do not talk on voice and prefer text communication but am ok joining others to listen on VC if they prefer it.
Also matching time availability as stated above, similar game tastes and willing to try new games and make time for spending time together. Please include the word yeti in the first message you send me, this is to make sure you have read my message and minimize number of trolls that reply, I will not respond to anyone that does not do so as they clearly have not bothered to read my message properly. You might think this is silly if you are reading this, but the number of people that reply to posts without reading them at all is in the majority unfortunately, even short posts. I believe this is an efficient filter. Also in addition to games im open to chatting tho I am mostly not very talkative before I get to know someone better when I don't have clear topic of conversation such as when playing a game. Watch parties of anime, movies/shows, and youtube would also be cool but is not a requirement.
Im looking to create an environment/friendship(s) where people are comfortable with each other, have fun together, and any issues are resolved peacefully. If anyone has any additional preferences or needs and I am able to do them, then I would be happy to do so if they let me know.

The plan atm is also not to expand the group but keep it very small and tight knit, meaning no friends of friends etc.

Most of the tutorials talk about 4k video footage proxies. What about creating proxies of effect heavy motion graphics in AE?
Say I have like a PNG of a drawing, some typography, some particles in bg, some particles in foreground, and other stuff
project is taking too long to render previews now, how would I create proxies out of these?
Would I precomp particles in bg, and particles in foreground, then render them out with transparency and replace the precomp with those so I can work fast on timing and animating other elements? ANy tutorials on this?

Much like The Elder Scrolls Part V: Skyrim—which hails from the same era—GTA V has been an enduring success and is about to get its third re-release.
There's no fancy subtitle or name change; Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series XS consoles on March 15th. That's not to say it's exactly the same experience, though. The versions for the current-gen consoles support 60 FPS, HDR output, ray-tracing, "improved texture quality," faster loading times, "immersive 3D audio," and support for platform-specific features, like the PS5's DualSense haptics.
gtaonline carwash Specifically, there will be a fidelity mode that targets native 3840×2160 resolution with ray tracing and a 30 FPS cap. (Xbox Series S will use upscaling to hit 4K.) Before you sneer at that, note that console versions of GTA V have always had a 30 FPS cap—until now: the new release's "performance mode" will target 60 FPS with dynamic resolution scaling up to 4K, but without ray tracing.
Most interesting to the majority of gamers will probably be the "Performance RT" mode. This mode, available only on the PS5 and Series X, is basically just performance mode with ray tracing enabled. Most likely, it will simply use a lower dynamic resolution to achieve higher-than-30 FPS while keeping ray tracing features. Depending on the upscaling method Rockstar uses, this mode could still look quite good.
Of course, the whole reason that Grand Theft Auto V is still the sensation that it is lies in its online mode. GTA Online progress will transfer automatically, although Rockstar cautions players that purchased GTA$ won't transfer across platforms (i.e. PlayStation to Xbox, or vice versa.)

My mobo usb ports suddenly all failed, then started working again. My peripherals are fine, mouse/kb. However, my external hdd doesn't seem to work properly anymore. It was plugged into the usb port at the front of the tower.
I can plug it in and open it, and I see the files, but when I try to open anything it returns an error. It's mostly movies/anime and sentimental family photos.
Trying to make a new folder in the drive freezes up the UI then says I need permission to do so, then denies me permission.
I've tried running Recuva deep scan on the drive but it says "Failed to scan drive, unable to determine file system type".
Is there anything I can do to recover my files?
edit: I am able to set the pictures as my desktop wallpaper so it looks like they're still there, but when I try to transfer to my documents, it says I need permission, then denies me permission

2023.03.24 21:56 ro8inmorgan Yesterday I pulled the trigger and bought the Garmin Forerunner 255 music as my Pebble Time replacement.
Allot of you have been recommending me this watch as a follow up to my always and long time beloved Pebble Time.
Yesterday I finally convinced myself to stop breaking my head over this and after researching allot to just go ahead and fork for a Forerunner 255 music.
To be clear, I'm not a fitness fanatic at all. I don't care about monitoring my runs and how high my HV1 score is or whatever. Sorry to say but I think 80% of the population is not a Fitness fanatic and I always have wondered why every single smartwatch maker only focusses on this segment of the market.
But nevertheless after reading allot on the Forerunner I figured there's still allot of features besides all the fitness crap to just make this an interesting daily watch to fit my life.
For me these are kind of the highlights as to why I chose this watch:
Always on translucent LCD screen (one of the most important reasons I loved my Pebble time). I'm sorry but an Oled screen on your watch is just plain stupid. Like your not going to watch HDR 4k content on your watch? OLED screens perform worse in every other aspect while those are much more important to a watch than the high fidelity of an oled screen.
Long battery life up to 14 days (another very important thing for me)
Comfy every day wear (I sleep with my watches)
Open system in regards to developing apps and watch faces (I hated that I could not develop my own watch faces on my Apple watch apart from from changing the background picture!)
It got all the usuals like Notifications, calendar integrations etc
Non fitness functions like checking your sleep, stress level, body battery and so on
Morning overview of my upcoming day, something I really loved on my Pebble
No touchscreen, I'm sorry but I just love buttons! I hate touchscreens anywhere apart from on my phone. On a phone it works well, but in any other case it just sucks.
And not unimportant, a good basic customizable OS which just works well and does not have a super tiny font and is well thought out! (The reason the amazfit bip s just plain sucks!)
Things I was not specially looking for but I actually find kind of interesting
It has it's own GPS and WIFI connection and loads of storage space (mainly meant for storing MP3's but is not limited to) This could maybe later proof for some interesting possibilities.
For the rest it has the usual sensors heart, o2 and gyroscope, but it also has a pressure, temp and compass sensor. For example the pressure sensor could maybe be used to detect sudden drops in pressure usually a sign of upcoming rain. Not a must, but its nice all these things are there for future use!
I got the watch yesterday and have been in love with it already for 2 days! Today all I have been doing is developing watch faces for it. There's really no limit in regards to what you can make watch faces do apart from Garmin imposes a sort of limit on how much system resources your watch face can use while the watch is in low power mode (the mode it goes in when it thinks your not looking at it). So basically you cannot run animations or just very tiny ones when your watch is in this mode, but once you lift your wrist up or press a button it goes into high power mode and it can do whatever you want. Have been making Zelda and Mario animated watch faces all day and am really happy with the results. Every time I look at my watch Mario and the gang are running round the level while overlayed with all kinds of info displayed like unread notifications, weather predictions and what not. To be honest I think in this regard it can actually do a little more then the Pebble Time's api allowed. Another thing is that its super easy to install your developed apps and watch faces on it. Just plugin the usb cable to your computer, copy over the files and disconnect and its all installed and ready to go. Very nice for testing!
The only down side about this watch currently is because its kind of new and not sold in millions like the apple watch, almost no one really made any watch faces for it. So if your not into developing your own, expect only a handfull besides the default ones in the Garmin connect IQ store. Unfortunately not every watch face works on every watch when it comes to Garmin. They have quite a few different models with different screen sizes and types and so on. Older models seem to have a larger selection of 3th party developed faces in the store.
So yeah anyone on the fence of this watch or just looking to move on from their Pebble Time. Can highly recommend this one! The experience is pretty much better in every way. The watch is also highly customizable when it comes to all the menu items etc. I configured most of these fitness functions away and it hardly has any reference now for it being a fitness watch really. The only sort of fitness function I still got active is my step counter haha.
