Festival season is in full swing with Governors Ball taking over Flushing Meadows-Corona Park this upcoming weekend. It certainly would've been cool if Governors Ball could've booked some punk acts to join the handful of rock bands on the bill. Black Midi and Flipped will both be doing late night sets in Manhattan. John Mellencamp is posting up a residency at the Beacon in tandem with the Tribeca Festival. The UK's Church Village Collective make their NYC and more below.
If you're new to this sub or just passing through, each week I try to highlight the "best" upcoming rock, punk, indie and alternative shows. I scour the web and social media for concert announcement, booking, rescheduling, etc., and then pick which shows are vying for my time and money (or which would've been if they weren't sold out). So my sim, Reign, is dating Rafael Striker and they live together with Reigns son, Montell( whose father is Matthew Hamming) and the daughter of Jessica Talon, Isabel. Beau Merrick is the father of Isabel not Rafael so I’m assuming that’s why Jessica and Raf broke up. Jessica Talon abandoned Rafael and her daughter and went to live with Matthew (Reigns baby daddy) after the two started dating. Matthew also got Katelyn Missoni pregnant around the same time as us and their son Hiram is now dating Isabel (daughter of Jessica Talon… Matthews gf). Beau Merrick is also dating Katelyn Missoni.
