NO YOU NEED THE FUCKING SAME NORMIE RULE SYSTEMS YOU'VE BEEN DOING SINCE 64 BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY VIAGRA IN EXISTENCE THAT CAN MAKE YOUR CROTCH FEEL SOMETHING OTHER THAN YOUR PEPRETURAL CASTRATION.
This isn't even the worst of it, these fucking imbeciles have the fucking AUDACITY to shit on Sakurai and the entire development team that even made this game possible. Sakurai must feel like those wojakbroken faces seeing his creation that he and his staff worked tirelessly on for YEARS just get shit on by these found on reddit adults who have never felt the touch of an SO in their life because they prefer to jerk off Nintendo titties or Nintendo micro penis', usually the same characters they get fucking outraged with to begin with because they're fucking submissive little bottoms. Seriously, I LOST ALL FUCKING RESPECT FOR THIS COMMUNITY WHEN I SAW JACKASSES SAYING SHIT LIKE "FUCK SAKURAI FOR MAKING THIS A PARTY GAME" OR "FUCK SAKURAI FOR NOT ADDING MY FUCKING FAVORITE CHARACTER." MOTHER FUCKER YOU DESERVE YOUR FUCKING FIGHTING GAME BEING TURNED INTO THIS BIRTHDAY PARTY "EVERYONES A WINNER WITH THEIR CONSOLATION TROPHY" COMPETITION OR YOUR FUCKING CHARACTER SLOT BEING FILLED WITH ANOTHER COOKIE CUTTER FIRE EMBLEM ONE. YOU DESERVE YOUR FUCKING LITTLE TOURNAMENTS GETTING SHUT DOWN BY NINTENDO WHEN YOU ARE SHIT TALKING THE VERY MAN WHO FUCKING FEEDS YOU FROM THE PALM OF HIS HAND. WITHOUT SAKURAI, YOU WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE A FUCKING GAME TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. I CAN'T HONESTLY THINK OF ALL THE POTENTIAL REVENUE HE AND THE REST OF HIS STAFF ARE MISSING OUT ON BECAUSE OF THE DEALS THAT HAD TO MADE WITH OTHER COMPANIES. SERIOUSLY, I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF FUCKING DISNEY GETS 50% OF ALL SALES NOW JUST BECAUSE MICKEY FUCKING MOUSE APPEARS AS A 2 PIXEL CHARM ON SORA'S KEY BLADE. ALL TO SATISFY YOUR PANSY ASSES WHO FORGET ABOUT IT WITHIN 2 WEEKS.
I don't fucking blame other fighting game communities viewing us as a fucking joke. When Nintendo inevitably makes another Smash games, (Because guess what mother fuckers, it's going to happen WITH OR WITHOUT SAKURAI. WITH OR WITHOUT THE WHOLE ROSTER. You jackasses eat the series up so much that Nintendo knows you're going to fucking buy a new installment even if the only fucking character in it is fucking master hand. Just like they know you buy their scummy practices games like the Mario trilogy.) I actually hope Sakurai DOESN'T come back to help develop it. I hope Nintendo milks this franchise to the very end until it becomes a shell of it's former self. I hope they even add stupid shit like microtransactions or auto-combos or hazards that can't be disabled just to spite this terrible fucking community and appeal to the NPCs. Just to give the middle finger to every person who cares more about the bra size of Pythra more than they do their own limp dick hygiene.
Fuck you, the Smash Community.

I also have a MSI Gaming Trio X 4090 that is BNIB. I got a bonus at work, made the offer on eBay and he accepted while I also impulse bought a PNY Verto 4090 from another user here. 2023.06.05 00:53 Barrettzone Talked with two ATF agents todayâŠ
So I was at the Tampa, FL gun show and they had a table set up. Majority of people were avoiding them like the plague, but I found what I was looking for and thought Iâd just roll up and ask where my Form1 for the brace is going to be done. They were quite helpful and did answer a lot of my questions. Yes, the inundated with forms and the last week set new records. Mine, filed on Feb 4 should be out in a few weeks, but here is twist:
I was of the understanding that I would be getting a SBR document from my Form1 submittal. I was informed that I would not be getting that, I would be getting an âexemptionâ(grandfathered in) to KEEP MY BRACE on it. If I want to put a stock, I would have to file another Form1 for the SBR and pay $200 for the stamp! The Form1 I submitted says that I am making a SBR, which was my intent. Not sure if this will be approved or not. Other points of interest were: You can take the brace off and it can still be in your house. You cannot put a Stock on it without the SBR stamp or a 16â barrel. They also mentioned that they only had 7 people for the whole Tampa Bay Area, so they were not going to be visiting anyone.
So after all this, I end up with an AR Pistol with a brace and an exemption document. I donât see how that it going to work out, but weâll seeâŠ.

2023.06.04 18:17 error_birthday What are my rights when a sink wonât drain? (FL)
I rent an apartment in Jacksonville FL and the kitchen sink is not draining and has not been for a few days. The issue is also impacting my neighbors kitchen sink so the clog is somewhere deeper in the plumbing. However when I was looking into this online I saw âFlorida landlords only have to fix clogs that keep the plumbing from being in reasonable working condition. In particular, landlords are not responsible for clogs caused by plumbing fixtures in need of repair.â This sounds like a deeper issue than a plumbing fixture seeing as the neighbor is also impacted.
I put in a maintenance request a Thursday night, they sent a handyman on Friday then a plumber came yesterday. No communication about when the problem is fixed, and rent is due tomorrow. Should I expect the landlord to fix this or is it something I am responsible for? If the landlord is responsible, is something I can withhold rent for? Currently seems to me like they are not providing plumbing in reasonable working condition so they are violating my rights, but I wanted more opinions.

2023.06.04 17:18 MackFenzie Nightmares in the Light - Chapter 8
First Previous Next
December 21, 2136 Sauno resisted the instinctual urge to whip his head away from the doctor. It felt like the Zurulian was elbow-deep in his ear canal, even though he rationally knew that only a small instrument was actually inside. He winced as the device moved deeper into his skull.
âJust a pinch, now, donât worry,â the doctor told him brightly.
Sauno was tempted to disagree. Heâd been pinched before, and whatever this awful sensation was, it was certainly no pinch! If he hadnât seen firsthand what actual torture looked like at the hands of predators, he would have sworn that having freezing cold, metal, medical implements shoved into your orifices should qualify.
âOkay, Iâm about to test your boneâs structural health, so youâll hear a bit of a whirr.â
A tinny, high pitched, and utterly horrific drilling noise reverberated through his entire skull. He couldnât stop himself from shrinking away as his very nerves screamed at the sensation.
âStay still for me, now,â the doctor said, as cheerfully as if she were giving him a dish of iced fruit puree rather than a horrific headache. âWeâre almost done, youâre doing great!â
Sauno took a deep breath and began counting silently. If the mindful exercise had gotten him through his experiences with the greys, he could only hope it could carry him through a bubbly Zurulian prodding his ear drum with a probe.
Soon enough, she was satisfied that his inner ear had healed sufficiently that the bandages could remain off, and she signed off on his discharge paperwork.
His human friend, Maha, poked her helmeted head in the door as the doctor was leaving.
âDid you get the all-clear?â she asked him, extending her hands with the first digit poking upward in a âthumbs-upâ gesture.
His tail thumped against the hospital bed cheerfully as returned the human gesture and flicked his ears in the affirmative.
âIâm even allowed to leave the med-bay! I just have to come back for scans to make sure my organs donât⊠whatever it is organs shouldnât do.â
Maha chortled. âWe want to make sure youâre healing properly! Iâm so glad your ears are doing well, though. Iâd never seen aural surgery like that performed, much less in an emergency setting, so Iâm delighted it turned out well.â
Sauno twitched his ears into a questioning posture. âI thought your people werenât uplifted? You didnât have surgery? Even my ancestors developed surgery, going back centuries.â
Maha moved her head back and forth as she clarified. âNo, we have surgery! Weâve done surgery a long ways back into history as well. I just meant this specific surgery on the ear drum â that isnât something weâd typically do in a trauma case. But your biology and your senses are different than ours, so it makes sense that different treatment approaches would be called for for the same injury. Iâm just happy to see you up and about. Oh ââ Maha turned her visored helmet in her strange way. âI think your friends are here! You must be so excited to go to the rescue bay and meet everyone!â
Sauno snorted. Maha was so friendly and optimistic; it seemed she couldnât imagine a world with prejudice and judgment. He wasnât looking forward to rejoining a herd that would call him a stupid primitive, even if he was happy to be out of bed. Still, Kerula and Jalim didnât think the less of him because of his species. Heâd simply have to not let other peoplesâ rudeness get to him.
Your friends matter. The people who dismiss you without even knowing you donât, he told himself as he stood to follow his Krakotl compatriots out of the hospital.
When they were in the hallway, Kerula stopped him, and gave him a look as though she were about to impart another one of her motivational speeches.
âSauno, youâve been healing, and we didnât want to add to your stress, but before you walk into that room, you should know that you have achieved a certain level of celebrity among the other rescues.â
Sauno looked at her blankly.
âYouâre famous, kid,â Jalim clarified. âWe all are, weirdly enough. Our escape and that methane bomb you made have inspired people, soâŠâ he ruffled his feathers uncomfortably. âWell, just donât be surprised if everyone knows your name, I guess.â
Sauno flicked his ears dismissively. Sure, heâd made the explosion, but it hadnât been intentional! Heâd just had the idea to block the sewer as a petty annoyance, and then just so happened to light a fire that ignited the trapped methane. Besides, he was no longer so naive as to assume that people would overlook his species. He might be intelligent, but he knew that no one else would see anything more than an uplifted primitive.
The Zurulian doctors were perfectly kind and professional, but he could still see their thinly-veiled condescension in the set of their small ears. The humans didnât treat him that way, but they were new to the Federation themselves, so their lack of prejudice against other newcomers made sense.
Still, it was kind of Kerula and Jalim to warn him about their own new-found fame, even if he knew it would never extend to his Yotul self. He thanked them and kept walking, slower than he was used to, waiting for the tearing feeling in his abdomen that would signify he needed to go back to the operating room.
The ripping never happened, and soon they were at the doors. Jalim hopped forward to open them onto a huge, loud, crowded space. The room that had once been a cargo bay was packed full of people of different shapes, sizes, colors, and biological classifications. Avians, mammals and reptiles clustered together, chattering as they did whatever it was they were doing. The people nearest the door turned to investigate the sound, saw Kerula and Jalim, and sent up a cheer.
Saunoâs ears rotated in surprise. They really hadnât been kidding about their reputations, he realized. He was grateful that as a âprimitive,â heâd be spared the attention.
Kerula introduced him to several people, who, surprisingly, seemed to extend the awe they gave Kerula to him. Jalim encouraged a few children to greet him, which was as adorable as it was sad that those so young were among cattle rescues to begin with. Faces and names became a blur in his mind until finally, someone said something that stood out.
âYouâre a Yotul,â an Iftali said, although her tone lacked some of the disapproval heâd come to expect from such a statement. âAre you the one who made the bomb from the sewage? Youâre the one that blew up the farm?â
Sauno hesitated, but had to confess he was. Before he could explain that he hadnât actually realized what he was doing at the time, she had dropped to her knees in a gesture of honor. âYou were willing to besmirch yourself with filth to help those of us who were imprisoned. I may not know the weight of your immortal soul, Yotul, but my descendants and I will pray for its lightening, and surely the buoyancy of your good deeds will outweigh any corruption from the predators you fought against. You are blessed, sir, you are blessed!â
He wasnât sure what to say, so he simply bobbed his head in an echo of the womanâs own bow, and kept moving in the direction Kerula was leading him.
After seeing the Iftali womanâs clear obeisance, he realized that the people in the hold were greeting him, not just Jalim and Kerula. They had heard of his accomplishments, they commended him on his extermination skills, his problem-solving, and his determination, and they wished him good health and quick healing. One woman asked him if he would lay his paws on her brood of eggs, in hopes that it would bless her children. His ears flattened in discomfort before Kerula stepped in and deflected the expectant motherâs request with a reminder that Sauno was still recovering from his ordeal.
âTheyâre used to us â they know weâll help them if they need it, and they know what we did back on that planet, but theyâve also seen us eating, drinking, sleeping, and bathing with them every day. Youâve been in the medical bay, so youâve got an aura of mystery about you,â Kerula explained. âItâs natural, and itâll pass. Theyâll get used to you once they see you around every day.â
After the relative quiet of the hospital, with the dampening effect the bandages had on his hearing, the noise of the rescue bay was near-deafening. The constant attention just added to his sense of overwhelm, until he was almost wishing he were back in his quiet hospital bed.
Eventually the hubbub died down, as Kerula had promised. Jalim was dragged away to help with a crying child, and Kerula took advantage of the lull to show Sauno to his bedroll.
âYou can bed down wherever you choose, of course, but we thought⊠Well, Jalim thought⊠that is to say, I thought⊠Or, we⊠Well, I just set it up for you here, like old times, but if you donât want toâŠâ she stammered, in uncharacteristic awkwardness. She knew how to inspire a crowd, but individual-level, emotional vulnerability was something sheâd never learned.
Sauno threw his arms around her in a hug. âThank you, Kerula. For setting up my bed, for not leaving me behind, for being here for me. It means a lot.â
She blinked a tear away, and coughed awkardly. âWell, of course. After what weâve been through, weâre a family, in a way. Not that you donât have your real family, of course, I mean, but⊠Iâm glad youâre alright, is what Iâm saying, I suppose. Iâm grateful to have you back with us.â
âThanks, Kerula. Iâm glad Iâm here, too.â
A few hours later, a helmeted figure strode across the bay to where he was sitting with Jalim and a couple toddlers that were practicing hopping.
âHi Sauno,â Maha said, nodding her head to Jalim and Kerula. âI wanted to give you a graduation gift, of sorts, for getting out of the medical wing. Itâs not much, just a snack from my culture, but I hope you like it!â She gestured her hands for him to open the brightly colored package. Inside were rows of dark brown, slightly wrinkled, cylindrical fruits.
âTheyâre called dates. These ones have nuts stuffed inside. They grow on tall trees called palm trees, and when theyâre fresh theyâre bright orange! We mostly eat them dried though, except for the week or two that theyâre in season. Theyâre really sweet, I hope you like sugar,â she said quickly.
His tail wagged happily as he plucked one from the box and popped it in his mouth. She hadnât been exaggerating when she described its sweetness â the fruit tasted like slightly woodsy caramelized sugar. The nut inside gave the dried fruit some crunch and depth of flavor, creating a beautifully balanced delicacy.
âThank you, Maha,â he said, gesturing for her, Jalim, and Kerula to sample the treat as well. âTheyâre delicious.â
She nodded her head enthusiastically. âIâm so glad you like them! Theyâre my favorite. Well, I donât want to intrude on your homecoming, soâŠâ
âYouâre not intruding,â Sauno protested. âIâm so glad you came, please stay! Plus, I donât think youâve ever actually gotten to meet Kerula and Jalim. This is my human friend, Maha. She works in the med wing, and sheâs been making sure I didnât die of boredom in there.â
The human hesitated, swinging her head around as she considered, but decided to sit down.
âHello Jalim, Kerula. Iâve heard so much about you both, but I didnât want to intrude on your visits. Itâs a pleasure to finally meet you.â
âItâs nice to meet you, Maha. I was wondering whoâd been keeping Sauno in such high spirits. Thank you for taking care of him,â Jalim told her warmly.
Kerula ruffled her feathers in agreement, but it looked like her thoughts were soaring far away. The others gave her her space â she was always worried about something â and simply enjoyed sharing dates and trading jokes.
Kerula wanted to ignore the instincts stirring in her belly, but something Sauno had said set off alarm bells in her nervous system.
Heâd referred to his Gaian acquaintance as a âhuman.â Sheâd done well in Advanced Predator History and Theory back at the Academy, so she was familiar with the term. Sheâd heard him clearly, she was sure of it, but no one else seemed to have noticed the odd nomenclature. The alien girl was sitting calmly, eating her traditional dried fruit and talking as normally as any person might with a group of people theyâd just met.
If she was human â if all of the Gaians were human â that meant Captain Nguyen had obscured the truth after all. But it also meant that what she had originally learned about them had been wrong. Sheâd already somehow come to terms with the idea of a truly sapient, empathetic predator. Slathering beasts could never sing gentle lullabies to small children about the incomprehensible nature of the stars. They could never resist the urge to tear into broken flesh to instead care for a wounded person. If Humans were still around, that meant that they hadnât killed themselves off from their uncontrollable bloodlust, as sheâd been taught in no uncertain terms that they had. And if these Gaians were humans, they were not the mindless predators she had studied.
Captain Nguyen had chosen to trust her with the information that he was a predator, and she had thrown away years of experience and knowledge to trust him in return.
The only time he had shown any anger in their meeting was when sheâd implied that his use of multiple names showed a dishonest nature. âMy name is not a deceit,â he had said. The Gaians used certain names with professional contacts, and others with their closest, most trusted friends. Captain Nguyenâs Venlil First Officer called him TuĂąn. She would be willing to bet that in private, Halsek might call him a human, too.
At some point while she was lost in thought, a trio of young Harchen had come to demand attention from Jalim. One of them tired of competing with the others for attention, and decided to play with the Gaian instead. His sticky little toes held him in place on top of her helmet as she held her head perfectly still and slowly raised a finger for him to take. She hummed a song and bounced her finger gently in his grip to the beat. The child giggled delightedly. Saunoâs tail was wagging with amusement as he watched them, sat so close his knee was nearly touching Mahaâs. Kerula felt no alarm or trepidation, watching the young woman playing with a toddler perched inelegantly on her head.
Face to face with an alien she knew was a predator, a people she had been told destroyed themselves from their uncontrollable violence, her feathers remained tranquilly smooth. Her instincts were never wrong, and now, they were quiet.
Kerula may not know Mahaâs full intentions regarding Sauno, but she could see the kid had accepted her into his herd. She could give that a chance. Her mind was made up, the instinctive stirring in her guts gone, Kerula leaned towards the group.
âSauno, may I try the Gaian delicacy? It really was kind of you to bring it, Maha. So, tell me, did you work in the medical field back on Terra?â

2023.06.04 16:18 Clueless_in_Florida The Two Logan Allens
| You've got to be careful if you're thinking of picking up any Logan Allen cards. As some fans already know, Cleveland drafted two guys named Logan Allen just a few years apart. The eldest of the two is no longer in the Cleveland organization, but his first cards are going to have him in the Indians jersey. The younger Logan Allen is probably the one some fans will be interested in. He's started his big-league career quite well. After 8 starts, he has a 2.78 ERA. That's the best among rookies. The younger Logan Allen doesn't have many cards in print right now. Panini issued some cards, including autos. My preference is not to buy Panini cards. He was included in 2020 Bowman Draft. But there's no auto card. It's just parallels and stuff. I suppose we'll see in Update when that releases in the late summer. https://preview.redd.it/x3n54n38c04b1.png?width=1893&format=png&auto=webp&s=b53acabac12f8e1426881987875fea3e887ed4ea submitted by Clueless_in_Florida to baseballcards [link] [comments] |

2023.06.04 14:33 MasterGamer9595 Is Canada just a buffer state between the US and the US?
2023.06.04 13:47 TechLich123 Various Miscellaneous Questions
This will likely not be the first of these posts as I go through jump docs in prep for hopefully my first jumpchain.P.s. Please let me know if there is a better way to format this stuff.
1.) Have any suggestions for body mods? I'm thinking maybe the space battles one or Quick silvers, but not sure.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hH0VLabviVwTCO_UJCbmQ7rkv7qcdQP0w742Ajw53_E/edit 2.) I was going for a dragon-themed jump. So for the base form/body mod, I was wondering. Should I go for a partially (like a D&D half dragon/Dragonborn, or anime monster girl dragon, or whatever) or fully on a dragon? Or maybe just stick with human for base form? I figure doing so would be thematic for the jump, but it might make certain gauntlets rather... difficult. Like in an all-human setting, where you probably have to worry about being dissected or hunted down by scared villagers. I suppose this applies to all body mods and chain drawbacks that make the jumper look inhuman (like "A giant among jumpers" or "Unbearable" from the UDS or the bestial body type from Quick Silvers..
2.5.) Depending on the answer to #2, what is the best way to pull it off? I'm thinking maybe the maximum option for proportions in the SB supplement,
Proportions
- [Free]â Adjust proportions within the scale of what is possible for a human naturally.
- [50 CP]â Adjust proportions within the scale of what is possible for modern surgical body-modification. Additionally includes some cosmetic modifications like split tongues, Elf- or Animal-Ears etc.
- [100 CP]â Freely adjust proportions so long the end result is biologically viable. Allows to become inhumanly tall or tiny, as well as replacing anatomical features with that of animals. Do note that any potential changes that are listed under the Extra Bits section have to be bought there separately.
Or maybe the essential body mod, but I'm worried it's a bit too powerful.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kuNXRGUKAY9E1VJ_fjXXRy9V36KSI9idQc4FMXdUDWs/edit 3.) When the UDS says you without specifying whether it's the author or jumper, like here, which is it referring to?
Sadist-Chan [+150]: Sadist-Chan has replaced the friendly Jump-Chan. She insists you always take whatever jump-specific drawback youâd least like to take in each jump. She isnât evil though, so you donât have to take any Drawback that would include a scaling enemy, no-win scenario, amnesia/powerlessness or chain ender. You still can if you choose to and it still counts for this as long as you legitimately dislike the Drawback youâre taking. Sadist-Chan is worth a total of +200 if one of these two things are true; If the jump has nothing priced so youâd waste 50 CP or if the Drawback you must take is valued at 300 CP or more. If the Drawback you must take is valued at 600 or more, you gain a total of +300 CP from Sadist-Chan. ChainOnly.
4.) Does Retail Rocker apply to both jump doc/supplement drawbacks, and UDS drawbacks?
Retail Rocker [Special]: Discounts are for poor people. Youâre a Jumper of Quality. You always pay full price. Always. But in exchange, you now get double the CP from all drawbacks you take. If something else would modify the CP youâd get from a Drawback, Retail Rockerâs bonus is calculated only from the original raw value and cannot be modified by anything. Example: You take a drawback worth 200 CP, but have âWhat Are Drawbacksâ that adds 50 CP to that value, and are under the effects of âGauntlet-Kunâ which doubles the base value and itâs a background specific drawback from Princess Bride, meaning it should be valued at 300 CP to start withâŠ. Retail Rocker ignores all the modifiers and just gives a bonus 200 CP which isnât ever modified by anything else. They still give their own bonuses, they just donât interact with each other. You get +100 JP per jump for Slot-O-Matic.
5.) For trouble central/black hole, would it be nerfing the drawback to make it not be too disruptive to the plot or setting on a meaningful level? Like if Worm was suddenly derailed by a war between the US and Russia, Dresden Files Chicago has a huge fire that burns half of it down, an important character randomly dies in a car crash, etc. Similarly for Aft Gang Agley not being bad enough to make plans pointless.
Trouble Magnet [+200]: Bad things will always cluster around you. Things will not go smoothly. There is a +10% cumulative chance per week of something personally happening to you, The Jumper, that will personally inconvenience or annoy you. Thus if you have the base, the chance each week is 10%, but if nothing happened to you in week 1, thereâs a 20% chance in week 2, and a 30% chance in week 3. This resets to the baseline once something bad happens to you.
Trouble Central [Another +100]: You attract trouble, not just to you but to everyone nearby. Bandits will attack your train, rival nations will invade wherever you happen to be, and natural disasters seem more common. The frequency of low level bad things(fires in nearby buildings, robberies in stores youâre shopping in, murders in towns youâre visiting, attempted muggings) is about 25% per day. Moderate bad things (terrorist attacks, murder attempts, bandit attacks on people youâre travelling with) happen in about 25% of weeks. Very bad things (Wars, Hurricanes, Earthquakes) have a 25% chance per month of occurring. This also increases your personal bad luck from +10% to +15%. Requires Trouble Magnet. Extremely bad things donât happen because of this...
Trouble Blackhole [An additional +100]: unless you upgrade to this in which case they happenroughly once every 4 years. And your personal bad luck rises to 20%. Requires Trouble Central.
Aft Gang Agley [+200 or +300]: Yeah, for some reason, your plans often go a bit off the rails. No plan survives contact with the enemy, but yours fall apart a lot faster than they should for some reason now, this isn't to say that everything automatically fails for you. Oh no. Then you could plan for that. This means that things just end to go awry a lot when you're involved. Maybe humorously, maybe tragically, maybe both! Things could go pear shaped and force you to think on your feet to maintain any chance of victory. Things could just go very weird and leave you with results you hadn't anticipated. For an additional +100, things will tend to go in ways youâd rather they didnât more often than not, but not to the extent that it regularly puts you in danger.
6.) Am I reading this right that, if you take humiliation conga that the enemy would never intentionally kill you (even if that would be rather out of character for them)? That seems almost like a boon. Like an infinite one ups thing.
Humiliation Conga [+100]: Your enemies will not willfully kill you. Oh no... they want you to suffer. Some will torture you, others subject you to humiliation and or degradation... Some will prefer physical methods, others mental, still others sexual or emotional techniques... Feel free to customize what, exactly, each enemy will do to you... or just pick a single specific theme (Everyone wants to tickle you for hours would work. As would people keep crucifying you.) It has to be something generally bad. You canât say âTheyâll give me a nice meal and subject me to small talk.â For an extra +100 this is guaranteed to happen at least twice every jump. The number of captures can be doubled up to 4 times for +50 each time (4, 8, 16, 32). While youâre free to escape after being captured, you will always have to put up with at least an hour of humiliation each time youâre captured. They will find a way to abuse you somehow... they did capture you, remember? If a jump lasts longer than 10 years, the count for Humiliation Conga resets every decade. Can be taken by Companions. The guaranteed being caught does not raise your enemies power level, but rather temporarily (up to one day) renders you vulnerable to being captured (but no more likely to be killed). Being captured will put you at your enemyâs mercy for at least 6 hours.
Victim Complex [Another +100]: Your powers will initially be rendered inoperable for the first 24 hours of each capture and will slowly come back at the rate of 1% (using a ramping scale, not an absolute scale, thus even infinite power returns slowly) per hour after. Requires Humiliation Conga. Can be taken by Companions.
The Prisonerâs Dilemma [An Additional +100]: if you donât escape by Hour 72, you fail the chain. Requires Victim Complex. Yes, being rescued counts as escaping... unless a plumber tries to rescue you. If that happens, youâre in another castle. Cannot be taken by Companions.
7.) What is the/a continuity toggle?
8.) So, am I understanding it right that, by default, you get a week in between jumps in your warehouse for whatever purposes you need?
9.) How do people normally deal with the jumper living hundreds or thousands of years? I mean, even if they suffer none of that curse of immortality stuff or physical aging (including mental degradation) you still have decades of maturation, experience, and character development that the jumper gets each jump. What stops the character from essentially being some wise old man/woman stereotype by jump 7?
10.) Does this include things that would normally bypass language like telepathy? It called it out specifically earlier in the mute drawback.
Language Block [+50]: No longer do you automatically gain a basic understanding of the local language in each jump. Instead, all you start with is a 500 word kernel of the most basic terms of the common language and youâll have to learn the languages the hard way. No perk or power can help you learn languages faster aside from perfect memory and high intelligence perks, but theyâll only make it a bit easier. No universal translator or the like will work for you. Chain-Only, Cannot Hiatus. For 50 CP you can learn any specific language as it is spoken in that settingâs time period. Generally speaking, living languages change between 20%and 30%every century.
11.) Given most are 10+ years, any advice on determining how much to write for them per jump? Obviously can't go over the entire time, even skipping the less important stuff. Should I focus on plot-relevant stuff, or if lacking plot (like Minecraft or something), focus on one or two big events as the plots of that jump?
12.) Has anyone figured out any workaround for those drawbacks that remove/replace the main character (hero or villain) of a setting, without deleting them from the setting or significantly changing the character? There are a number where I'd take the drawback of having to deal with the plot things without relying on them, but for most (if not all, I'd need to double-check) I'd hate to lose the character. I'm wondering if I need to just deal with it/not take that, or if there is a way to have my cake and eat it too (after all, the challenge would still be there).
13.) How do your jumpers deal with jumps where they have to have a distinctly different morality for that jump? Wouldn't that sort of mess with them psychologically, or is there some sort of cognitive dissonance there?
14.) How do return/sequel jumps work? Is it like it mentions in Quicksilver's stuff, or different?
15.) I had an idea for this jump (or really any future one), but I'm a bit worried it might be a bit overcomplicated or a better idea in theory than on paper. Basically, instead of one jumper, it's three who tried to cheese the body pod (jump seed scenario from UDS if your wondering) and ended up full Case 70ed (from worm, basically stuck together physically, like sharing the same body or alternating who can exist at the same time and who's in extradimensional limbo). Wouldn't change anything mechanically, as still effectively one person, sharing perks between (which they don't pick, Jumpchan did) them. It would mean that, even before I start picking up companions/followers, I'll have someone for them to talk to on lone jumps like Minecraft or Factorio, and would be a source of internal conflict. What do you guys thin? Good idea? Bad idea? Maybe? Depends (no better answer)? Need more info to know?
16.) Would this count things like healing for jump time progression?
The Best Worst Blessing-Curse EVAR [+100]: You, the blursee (someone blessed and cursed at the same time), have unlimited time with which to do any task thatis not a) dependent on another person, b) being done to make something tangible or a significant profit, or c) being done for self improvement. I know youâre saying... that doesnât sound so bad. Sure. Itâs great... but things like relaxing, sleeping, eating, etc. donât count as any of those. Effectively, to progress time youâll have to constantly be interacting with people, making stuff, or improving yourself. 24 hours a day. If people would notice you, that counts as an interaction,so you canât use this for stealth. Indeed, hiding from someone is an interaction... but not if youâre just hiding from the world in your house or something. Like, stealthing around people is interacting with them, even if they donât know it. Your Benefactor, pets, AIs, Companions, and any potential entities beyond the scope of the Jumpâs setting donât count as other people for the purposes of this Drawback. You cannot get around this drawback by having someone pay you for everything you do, and the more money you already have, the harder it will be to justify it as profit. Twenty hours of work to make a penny isnât fooling anyone.
17.) What is this renegade supplement the UDS talked about? I've only seen the one where you are the renegade.
18.) Any idea why The Bay says that you need a fully crewed ship to leave it? How would that cheese things otherwise? Especially since many tech perks could automate them, reducing crew to 1 or 0.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UCviTdrpc9WdXmA5_e2ulem2vjMa2kfMSlp1d6cErS0/edit The doors might be a problem, because they wont let you take something out unless the security system detects at least the minimum required crew for a ship. Don't go trying to fly that Star Destroyer solo there spacecowboy. Aside from that?
19.) I'm assuming you don't need a setting with FTL to use a ship that can't use FTL? Even if it is space worthy.
Don't think you can fuck off and float around some barren rock for ten years either, I'm supposed to be getting entertained here, remember?
20.) Any idea if The Bay's points are self-contained, or if you can donate some jump/gauntlet, supplement, and/or UDS CP to boost it?
Sorry for the length (can shorten these in the future if people would prefer), and if any of these should be obvious. Thank you in advance for anyone helping to answer them.
